SIR,
This is regarding our experience with your service center at Roorkee, Uttaranchal. My friend had a proplem with his laptop so we approached the center. There they opened the screws saw it and then again screwed it back. Then they told that problem can't be solved here and it was to be sent to some main service center and after that they started asking for their service charge which we felt was useless to be given. We then thought of going to the head of that center. The response of the head person there was something which was not acceptable. Not acceptable in the sense that a person sitting at such a qualified place can't be thought of reacting like that. His reaction was" tum log andar kisase poochakar aaye... tumlogo andar aane kisne diya... chalo bahar nikalo... without listening to our problem. I felt very bad at that moment. I don't know about your response to this mail and even don't know where to put my complain for being treated like a cattle over there. Some of my freinds suggested to circulate this experience in whole IIT Roorkee where from we are pursuing our Engineering degree but some felt it appropriate to make a complain first. I hope its the correct place where I am placing my complain. If not please tell me the alternative. Thanking You for going through this mail.

When i bought HP laptop, i was assured to get a free tv tuner card if I give an extra cheque of Rs 500. I had given the cheque and the cheque was cleared subsequently. It has been more than 3 months that my cheque is cleared , but no card has been sent. When i followed the case via phone, i was assured every time that it will come in next 15 days as the product was out of stock.

On my last conversation i was told that the product lot is corrupted hence i have to wait for more time. This has really been a frustrating experience.I was not expecting this kind of behavior from HP redemption cell in Delhi.

I had purchased a Compaq Laptop 3225 (Compaq Presario V3000) for Rs. 34350 on 15/06/07 from Care Office Equipment Pvt. Ltd. (Hp outlet), Ahmedabad.

Unfortunately due to a mishap, the LCD of the laptop got damaged on 4th Aug, 2017 and the estimated amount that the Hp Company has put forth is Rs. 28000! This came more of a shock than when I was informed about the LCD broken. Now, I own 3 laptops of the same company that are being used properly, but a laptop, being mobile, has a greater risk factor of being damaged. And here, Hp, being such a reputed company is treating its customers!

They are charging me Rs. 28000 for the LCD damage alone and I had bought the laptop itself for 34350! Does that mean that the rest of the parts of the laptop are just worth Rs. 6350? ( including all local tax and the asseciories supplied along with)So I should assume that if any of those parts are damaged, they are going to charge me with an amount that is under Rs. 6000? (Although, that would be great!)

I have this laptop insured. Now, the concerned insurance company is forcing me not to go for the Hp Company’s service but to go for the open-market service where they charge max. Rs. 15000 (they charge the same almost everywhere, in India. Even for a laptop of Rs. 125000! Unlike Hp!) But how can I trust outsiders on my laptop. What if something else goes wrong? And if I get my laptop serviced outside, warranty of HP will be terminated. That’s a totally different situation, as first and foremost, I will not go for outside service because I bought this laptop from Hp so I will get it fixed from Hp only! I guess the Company assumes the public to be that stupid that it would actually pay damages of Rs. 28000 for just the LCD of a laptop of Rs. 35000! (Whether they have insurance or not.)

I guess by this I can only conclude that The Hp Company has been established to fool the public and make money by hook or by crook. India’s misfortune to have cheater companies like these in this country. I am extremely disappointed. Never in my life had I imagined that I would have to keep my business aside and waste my time, requesting and complaining to the company, by writing them hundreds of e-mails, and constantly calling them and discussing this problem, which, by the way has the simplest solution ever!

Now I have a laptop that is only 9 months old. Having a problem, I call and connected to India. I am not against foreign as my husband is foreign. They guided me the first day through actions of recovery. Then when they determined it was to be set back to factory settings and I would lose info. I opted to do the recovery and called them back in two days. well the polite person again had me go through the whole 9 yards. I am thinking maybe his system wasn't up and he had to re do all things again. So we did the test and then it was determined I needed recovery disc and if that didn't work I would need to send it in. 2 days later I received the disc and ran all 4. Still there was an error. I called and again had to recount the whole story and the helpful agent again wanted to "RE-RUN" SAME TEST". I am keeping calm and talking slow, as surly this person can see the other times I have called. After another and another technician (all having me recount issues, re doing test), he determines for sure my Laptop needs to be sent in. The Recovery line is in a long wait, so he says they will call me back. They did , but it went to my voice mail. I called and told them the message was to call to confirm for my box to pack my laptop in. Now I again get someone who wants to ask me previous problems and to go through all the error messages and to try the disc again. at this point I know I am in Groundhog day.! It was 30 minutes till he put me through to a technician who was sure we could start another recovery! I told him I just want my box, all this has been done for several days now. I mean it was an act of Congress to finally after 1 1/2 hour to get my box! Now this is not in anyway "hyped up". This was a nightmare! India was very polite, very nice, BUT I want English as a first language, operations in the USA. Instead of looking to see if the product is made in the USA, we need to read where the product is serviced!

I have recently purchased a HP laptop from a dealer in Hyderabad. He neither configured the laptop for the usage nor did his employees had setup my computer. They just gave me the piece as it is delivered from the factory. When i asked them wouldn't you configure the system, extend support to partition the hard drive, the sort of response i got is totally unexpected. I don't know why the HP company people are so callous towards its customers. Further he said you will get so many freebies on this, for which i have to login to the hp URL and claim for the same. But what i found in the URL took me by total surprise. I didn't find most of the freebies as the retailer has promised except for a data card offered by reliance. He told me that i will be getting one year insurance, one gb pendrive, 1 mp3 player, one data card.

I really feel for opting for HP instead of Lenovo. I opted for HP because my friends said the service will be good, but what i discovered is totally contrasting. Even the customer care service is pathetic. No proper response from th call center executives. I was waiting on the phone for more than 10 min, but in vain.

I now advice people not buy a HP laptops, just by seeing the name. I suggest go for Lenovo, which i feel is better than hp in terms of service and support.

If this information helps few, i will be very happy.

Cheers,
Sreenath.

I have bought several HP products within the past year, one being a laptop. I have problems with the disc drawer and have recieved absolutely no help from HP. I've been trying for two months and am frustrated. I'm 65 years old and never dealt with a company as uninterested in customer service as HP. Never having had to persue a complaint I guess this is a good time of life for now retired I have the time to follow this through. I can't predict the outcome but I can promise to be a thorne in HP's side.

It's just happen with my brother that he got fraud mail seen like axis bank home page and they ask him to put his bank details like id and transaction password and he gave all details by mistake.

The next day he got message on his mobile that your account is debited by xxx amount and then he realize that mail is fraud and he cheated .

Now in this case the bank is not that much serious on taking action against the culprit as they already know in which account the money get transfer.

So now what should we do in this case? Can any body help me on this?

I bought two identical laptops from HP. Model dv6105US RG253U

They have BOTH been returned to HP *5 TIMES* ! They BOTH have
had to same problems-- 1. Bad key's 2. overheating 3. DVD player to loud
4. power supplies overheating 5. Video Flashing 6. re-install Windows XP Pro
*MANY* times! They never once suggested that they would send us a
different model.

I ALWAYS sent along a list of problems, and asked for a letter to be included
telling us what was repaired/replaced. THAT NEVER HAPPEN!

Example--
The units were BOTH in Warranty. Mine was sent back to HP, and they
wanted to charge me to replace the Display. NO WAY!

Now they are two years old, and no warranty left! I even paid for an
extra year of warrant through Staples. And now that warranty is gone!

Now that I'm retired, I am now ROYALLY SCREWED! Since I have no
chance in Hell of ever getting laptop's again; and...my wife's unit is
about to head to the dumpster!

#### I HATE YOU HP, YOU ### ! ####

I'm also going to post this on my web site: http://techurls.tripod.com/
as well as my Blog.

BTW-- I was tired of talking to an indian woman, (they are the worst
to understand.) Then I talked to a man, indian, not quite as bad.

I finally was fed-up and finally contacted a manager to seem to help
to a point, but was my best choice! They, (HP), won't like it, but
to get to some help, (not all help) call this number, and these guys:
Kevin or James - [protected] x94 #1

I hope *LOTS* of people with laptops bug the HELL out of HP !

Dear Sir,

I am Astha Verma residing at Pune.On 29/7/08, I gave my laptop for battery changing at Vintech Electronic System which is a authorized Service Center of Hp in Pune, during that time my laptop was in warranty period.

The last date of warranty was 1/08/08.But my Laptop battery has not changed yet, the people at service center are saying as you have given the laptop two days before the warranty period, so confusion is arising that whether the laptop is in warranty or not.

As per my conversation with Mr.Alok Joshi at Vintech Electronic 15 days back, he said that till now the procedure is going on and within two days we will inform you but till today no reply has come from his side. The details regarding my laptop are

Model : HP Pavilion dv2000
Serial no : 2CE7181133
Bill no : 13459 (Dated-01/08/07)
Task no : 5878 (Dated-29/07/08)
(service form)

Please confirm the status of my request as soon as possible.
It has been over a month that i am suffering due to mis-communication caused due to your department.
Awaiting your reply.

To direct the complaint to Staples, you SHOULD have made the title of your complaint "Staples is a ripoff" or something like that. That way, when your complaint is picked up by Google, that title will stand out. Secondly, HP computers suck. Dell computers suck. Compaq computers suck. The little known "Emachines" are some of the best computers out there. I've used them the last 4-5 years with zero problems. I don't think they make laptops, but their desktops are second to none and the cheapest prices anywhere. My Toshiba laptop has been super for the past 3 years but the DVD player/recorder in it sucks.

HP's service is worth nothing. Incompetent people. For a broken hard drive, I have talked to 11 people, sent 21 emails and in the end, I just bought a drive in the store. The laptop was 4 months old but they just couldn't get managed to send a simple hard drive out. "Too expensive". HP Total Care... HP is nothing more than a joke. LOSERS.

I purchased an HP Laptop in 2017, and the Best Buy rep lied to me about the Total Protection with accident insurance that would replace the laptop if anything happened to it, even if I ran over it with a car, he said.

He forgot to mentioned that when something would happen to the laptop I would be subject to the manager's discretion, which they have none. He also forgot to mention that the repair would take several weeks from the time I took the laptop to the store. In addition, the pamphlet that they give you at the store does not state any of this things.

My laptop broke around the 25 of June 2017, they sent the laptop to the repair center, and it came back on the 2nd of July 2017. I went to pick it up and they said that it was ready. Suposedly, they repalced the motherboard.

They provably knew that the laptop was only barely working because that is why they are the experts. The laptop started, I spend a day and half copying back my files, but at the end of the day the laptop started to lock up. I did a mem to see how much memory the computer recognized and it was only 2gb. I know I bought 4gb of memory.

I am also sending a letter to their CEO to let him know of their inability to provide good service to his customers and to honor the very expensive protection plans.

Went back to the store and the technitian did a diagnostic and agreed that the laptop did indeed have 4gb and that it only recognized 2gb. He said that he would have to run more test that would take about one or two days, then if the motherboard was bad, he would have to send it to the repair center again. The motherboard is what they replaced the first time the tried to repaired it.

Which means that they are lying to me and did not replace anything, and since they know my protection is ending in September, maybe they thought the computer would at least run after that day and then they would not have to cover it.

Little did they know that my computer decided to break much sooner then that.

The policy covers replacement if they can not fix it, but what they said is that it has to be repaired 4 times before they will allow a replacement, which they failed to tell me when I bought the plan. One thing is repairing the laptop 4 times properly then making a mistake and not fixing it the first time properly, but they denied the replacement.

I filed a complaint thru the Texas Atorney General's Office since Best Buy is obviously ripping people off by not honoring they outrageouly expensive Total protection plans. I paid $229.99 for the plan.

Bought HP laptop for work and college Sept. 08. Took out 3 yr. service warranty plus 1 full year coverage. Took forever to get Sam's on the phone. After answering many questions told to contact Sam's warranty phone #. Took 2 tries with automated questions only taking specific answers or you go nowhere. Spent 1 1/2 hrs. getting thru. Had receipt in hand and argued over validity of warranty - said it should have been more. Finally told since less than 1 yr. to contact HP directly. I was directed out of the country to someone with a heavy middle Eastern accent and couldn't understand them. I was asked many questions I had no answer for and told a box would be mailed to me for sending the computer in for repairs. This is a business computer and needed tonite for opening night of a three week play in production in town for lighting and special affects/slide shows etc. Less than 1 yr. old and hard drive disk is in failure. Sams takes your money and makes false promises that are lies.

I thik you might have misunderstood your warranty. The store or extended warranty generally doesn't take over until the manufacturers warranty is up. Since HP provided a 1 year warranty and your laptop was still under warranty, the store was right in sending you to HP.

Your complaint should be directed at the poor service you get from HP,

Good luck getting any satisfactory resolution from HP.

I have a "media" laptop that worked for a year and then one week out of warranty, it started overheating and shutting off if I tried to .. watch media. The indians that answer the phones for them was so rude about it, didn't understand a my concerns in the slightest and wanted $400 for repair. Get real.

I'll never purchase an HP product again. Shoddy products, and customer service is all done by foreigners. Yuck.

In September of 2017, I bought a computer from Conn's on Military Drive, in San Antonio. I bought it one day before I left to college. The next day when I arrived at my dorm, I turned it on and was using for literally five minutes and then poof, it die completely. I called conn's and they said to send it back and I did. I spent the first two months of my college career without a computer. Since I got to college I have sent the computer back 4 times! They refused to replace it and I eventually bought one from Best Buy that works perfectly. I WARN YOU, DO NOT BUY ANTHYING FROM CONN'S. THEIR NAME SAYS IT ALL!

Subject: - Laptop Model no. KS365PA and Product No. dv3005Tx

Dear Sir,

I had purchased HP Laptop on date of 19 may 2017, model no. is KS365PA and Product No. is dv3005Tx. The Laptop cracks are developing continues front side of LCD bottom and laptop’s plastic border color is fading. I have attached the file photos as proof.

That problem is not technical software & hardware but laptop LCD border is very poor quality and it is cracking automatically slowly slowly. The LCD inside edges cover mounting plastic is very poor quality. I was facing this problem last 5-6 months but I was out of India last days so I couldn’t contact at your service centre for this complaint.

I had shown this Laptop at your Hp authorized service centre G-3, G-4, Shree Gopal Tower, Krishna Marg, C-Scheme, Jaipur on 7/9/09 and they communicated on phone and didn’t give good response. The telephonic caller told that they are not responsible. I had shown my laptop to other engineers and they told me, that LCD border plastic is used low quality. You can show my Laptop others.

I look forward to hearing from you. Please see our laptop and take action as soon as possible.

I bought my HP Pavilion dv6000 in 12/2017. In 1 month I had a problem with errorrs of typing some symbols. I went to the company where I had bought the laptop - no result, only silly communications and comments 'that was not a problem at all, common comp tricks'.
In 1 year of purhase (it costed about $1900) my laptop became dead: power - OK, black screen, two loud short signals. It was diagnosed some critical problem with motherboard. The problem was solved by the same company (Incredible Connection, Pretoria, South Africa), where I had bought it. It costed me about 40% of the laptop initial price. After a year more I had the same problem and brought my comp to the Incredible Connection again. They sent the laptop to the "manufacturer" as they had said.
Finally I received proposition to pay 50% of initial price for fixing. It is mocking! For these 2 years I could buy 3 new laptops of Toshiba or Asus (my daughter and wife have been using them for 2-6 years without any problem).
Particular comments about phone and e-mail communications with HP representatives: dosens and dosens minutes of music that you have to listen to waiting reply of 'proper' agent; you have to describe to tell your story from beginning without any result at the end; a huge amounts of stupid forms on the inet page and no reply afterwards.
After these perturbations (you could imagine my roaming with broken comp, calls, stupid communications etc.) even the name of HP makes me crasy.

Had a similar problem with Incredible (Incompetent) Connection and an Acer Laptop. Guess what, I have put a piece of masking tape on the brand name Acer. So when people ask me why I'm doing it, I tell them to NEVER EVER buy an Acer Laptop and NOT from Incredible Connection. I regularly attend meetings and workshops with influential people in decision making capacities and am proud to say that I have at least stopped two huge orders for Acer Laptops! I will continue to tell whoever that wants to listen to NOT buy from Incredible Connection and to NOT buy Acer Laptops. Mine is still not sorted out, but I have no intention of taking it back as it is a nightmare dealing with those two companies.

I purchased an HP 7140 - All In One Printer/Scanner/Copier/Fax for $500 a while back. The VERY FIRST TIME I had to change an ink (I believe it was the black ink), it would not recognize the next cartridge. Upon some up close detective work with a strong light, I was able to determine the problem was that a small retaining clip that was supposed to be held back by a spring, and the end of the spring was held by a TEENY TINY plastic nib - well guess what - that teeny tiny plastic nib broke off. This was about 8 months into it's lifetime. Well, after speaking with HP, they shipped me out a replacement unit. Of course, this one was refurbished. From what I understand they had a LOT of refurbished units laying around. This one worked but never printed as well as the first one. 5 months after I got this unit and, once again, the FIRST time I had to replace an ink, it would not recognize it. BUT, this time that little spring piece was still in place properly. After a great deal of diagnosing with HP, they came back and said that the main board in the printer was bad and I was out of luck because it was NOT within the warranty. I was furious. They sent me a refurbished piece of junk and it died.

Of course the ENTIRE time I was talking to idiots from India with half broken English, reading off of prepared scripts and unable/unwilling to do anything. I supposedly spoke to managers there, but they had the same broken English and said the exact same things.

I told them that I would make a vow to NEVER EVER EVER buy another piece of HP equipement, that I would plaster my experience all over EVERY internet board I could find and that I would make it my personal life goal to help save people from buying at least $500 million dollars worth of HP equipment. You know what - they just didn't care.

I tried sending an email to Mark Hurd - CEO of HP. I guess he doesn't care either. So - I have purchased my absolutely LAST PIECE OF HP JUNK i ever will purchase. Be warned - HP simply DOES NOT CARE about their customers. THEY MAKE JUNK - PURE JUNK. I looked hard at the first printer when it broke. I'm almost SURE that it was an accident that it broke the first time, but it sure looked like it was engineered to break after replacing it a few times. They probably try to make it last a bit longer than a year and then - sorry - your unit is dead.

I have an HP Laserjet 4000 from the late 1990's that I LOVE. I have printed approximately 25, 000 pages on it and it continues to print. I just recently installed my 3rd set of toner. This printer is heavy - there's LOTS of metal in it. Today, HP printers are FAR lighter than they ever were before - wonder why? PLASTIC - everything is plastic and it's made using the CHEAPEST methods possible - most likely in China.

My latest printer is a Canon PIXMA 860. It does EVERYTHING the HP did, but it is smaller, LESS THAN 1/3 the price (Paid $160 for it vs $500 for the HP). I love it. At least if IT dies, I can afford to buy another one, in fact, I could afford to buy TWO more and still have paid LESS than I paid for the HP !

Do yourself a favor - next time you look at an HP add - put it to good use - underneath the oil pain of your car so it can catch the drips and save your floor, or use it to train a puppy where to go - that's ALL it's good for!

Dear Kumar,

It is common practice for laptop service centres to retain laptops that have been given in for service when they suspect that the hard drive contains or has contained indecent images of children or animals.

I would suggest that you pack a few essential belongings and leave town as soon as possible before your impending arrest.

Alternatively, for a shorter prison term, give yourself up to the nearest police station.

Best of luck,

Curtis

Dear sir,

This is with reference to the invoice no. - pitm/09-10/2948. I purchased an hp laptop around 9 months back, the details of which are furnished below.
The laptop started giving problems within 1 month of purchase and now the problems have increased to such an extent that I repent spending rs. 50000 on buying an hp laptop.

Details:

Laptop model - hp pav dv4-1506 tx (C2d@2.2 / 4gb / 320 / 14.1 / 512gc / win 7p)

Serial no. - cnd9371bs1

Date of purchase - 21 oct 2017

Purchased from - advance computer shoppe (8, vaishali enclave, pitampura, new delhi)

Problems:

1. Heats up very much in about an hour
2. Hangs frequently
3. Cd rom not working properly
4. Battery backup has decreased drastically
5. It has about 100 gb of free hard disk space but still it often becomes pathetically slow.

Even one year has not passed since I purchased this laptop and the list of problems is increasing day by day.

Does this poor quality of laptops and ever increasing list of problems suit the well acclaimed image hp has? Hp is such a renowned name but after this experience I am so dissapointed that i'll have to think 100 times before buying an hp laptop.

I have not got any value of money spent and I am very frustrated and fed up of this laptop. I want this laptop to be replaced as soon as possible.

Kindly look into the matter and do the needful.

Regards

I recently purchased a laptop on clearance with protection plan $159.99 for 2 years. Took the laptop home opened it saw some screen filled up with fingure prints and light scratch. I called office depot and I asked do I need to have protection plan and how many days do I have before returning the plan they said one month for the protection plan and two weeks for the laptop. I returned the laptop the manager said I have to exchange it so I did buy a hp dv6-3120us. Then I said to the manager I am not going to buy protection plan for this laptop he replied that I have to have the protection plan since I have purchased it for the laptop that was on clearence. I could not convince him that i am not going to use the protection plan but he insisted that I have to have it otherwise I can not purchase this hp laptop. I took the laptop home and I realized that the keys simply give up color get scratched marks from my fingures, and too much hp startup applications that keeps the computer to boot in 30 second delay. I called in and asked I am not going to be happy with this laptop they said live with it no exchange I said I have not even used it for more than 45 minutes the manager said so sorry we can not make any exchange live with it.
I am not happy with the response what can I do to exchange this laptop for a better one with less start up applications and faster start up time. I have 2 more days before the 14 day return policy hit me.

I purchased a Computer from them it quite working, I sent it back, they said it was completely broken because I had gotten it wet, Then they said that it wasnt recent, I asked them to send me back the Parts and to repair it, They said they could not send me back my bad parts, I volunteered to drive there, they refused to give me there address, They said they would reasemble it and send it back, Do you think I would of gotten my parts back, They said all the circuit boards need replacing to the tune of 451 dollars, I paid 469 for it and got a 50 dollar mail in rebate.I called the Excutive Offices to complain no one would take my call.Every one I talked to was short, curt and disrespectfull to me.Heres some info on HP, Google them and comb through what pops up, they have been find by the Justice Department for over charging people, They have the poorest customer service and reliability of all the Computers I have ever owned. If I would of known before I bought it what I know now I would have never bought a HP.NEVER BUY A HP THEY ARE GARBAGE.
