I purchase a 73 inch Mitsubishi TV and it was defective, called over 15 times to have it pickup, it’s been sitting in my hallway now for almost three weeks. HSN customer service stated that they have requested a pickup 5 times to their vendor with no avail, as well as no reply from their vendor Tiger Direct. Be advised that you have 30 days to return an electronic item, after that your out of luck, and as you can see the 30 day mark is approaching? I just hope this is not the case with this company, because I would be out $1, 599.90 for any of you that is interested in purchasing a big ticket item from HSN you had better think twice and go to a reputable dealer and have it delivered.

I don't want to buy or do any business with them in the future
HSN shipped me the defective jewelries. So I called customer services and spoke to the supervisor. His name is Steve, no last name here, they don't want to show their last name on their email as well. Steve told me that he had waived the EZ return labels and I sent those orders back to them along with the others. When their return department processed the refund, they used those EZ return labels and deducted the fees out from my the other orders which were defective as well. I had tried to save them the fees and put them together in one package and they turned around and charged those fees back to those orders which is $6.95 for each. That is wrongful.
I had contacted them several times by emails and phone and spoke to another supervisor name Steve as well. He told that he will process the credit back to my account and it would appear within 72 hours on 4/5/11. I waited until 4/14/11 and did not see the credits in my account yet, so I emailed their customer services again. In the meantime, they did not even sent me a letter explaining why the credits did not process, that is very bad service and unprofessional for a big national television network like them. None of them wanted to read my explanation or looked deeper into the situation here. It is such a waste time to deal with them. First at all, they don't have the VP Senior of customer services name to contact with neither by phone nor by emails nor letter. They don't provide the services and honor the services that they promised to customers and I am a longtime customer and buying thousand and thousand dollars to their network and they turn around and cheat and treat a customer like me with a little of return label fees. This is absurd and ridiculous. They already lose a customer like me. I don't want to buy or do any business with them in the future.
overselling an offered special and then canceling order
I order a "today's special value" which was an Acer laptop computer. They showed the amount sold and remaining throughout the day. A few days later I got an email that they couldn't send it because they didn't get them from the manufacturer but they were trying until 2-19. Today I got an email saying my order was canceled and when I called them, they said they couldn't get them in. I told her I thought that was wrong and right next to illegal and, of course, being customer service, she just kept saying "I'm sorry". This was a supervisor I was talking with. I think a business that sells to millions of homes should have products available that they tell you that you have secured one.
Problems
The home shopping network is a complete fraud! I started the order process…my order was canceled…nobody at hsn knows why but yet the money was taken from my account. I reordered several times and spoke with several supervisors who all assured me they would fix the problem but each supervisor had a different excuse for why the order was canceled. These people don’t have a clue what is going on. At one point they had held 4 times the amount they were supposed to hold and then you have to wait (In my case one week) before your funds are available but yet your order was canceled. Don’t order from the home shopping network! They make it so difficult for you to return anything that you give up!
I called for a return lable and as told I have to pay for the returnpostage. The sound bar they sent me is not what I ordered so I should not have to pay to have it retuned, but I do it has never been like this before I called the service depapartment and the lady said you can return your item but you pay return postage. I do think they shoud stop saying retun if you are unhappy to make sure this is what you want because you will have to pay return postage!

Have been buying hsn for over 20 years.. thousands of dollars, spent..never had a negative experience with customer service. My account was blocked as of today. Reason too many returns. No thank you letter for my 20 years of loyalty.. just for returns that were justified. Allergic reactions... defective jewelry.. wrong sizing. Its my right to return. Now I cant buy from them again. Im looking at my Sony tv that I just bought last year. Loyalty means nothing to them.

In January I called the company and asked to pay the entire bill off. I paid about 100$ and thought this was a done deal. In March I got a new bill for about 32$ and a 30$ finance charge. I called the company and paid for the LAST charges for the items. I refused to pay the bogus, very high finance change. I wrote a letter to World Financial Capital Bank in March and still have no response.
Yesterday I got a phone call from a collection agency stating that I still owned money on items purchased from HSN. THAT IS A BOLD FACE LIE. World Financial Capital Bank is trying to collect over 80$ in finance charges that have accumulated over the last 3 months. After reading online I now know to file a complaint with the FDIC on World Financial Capital Bank as so many others have. How do I file a formal complaint on home shopping network? They are well aware of the bogus practice and they do nothing about it ! This is a way of preying on the elderly. I will never shop on HSN again.

I order a comuper three weeks prior to my complaint, it was estimated delivery on a friday. Took friday off. Called hsn.com they said it will come on saturday, called later, the said it will arrive on monday. Tried to make arrangements between ups and hsn because i wan not going to be home at that time. Ups tried to gave a solution over the phone, hsn.com had the authority to change dates but would not. Most of the time they (hsn.com) argued with me insted of trying to help resolve the issue. HSN.com customer service sucks!

I purchased a I Pad on Sale through Home Shopping Network, Paid, What I thought at the time, a very fare price, I watch the Add, for a good 20 minutes I mad sure I knew What I was getting, Through the entire “show and tell” they mad it sound like this was the best deal on Ipad - and no one else would sell this product this cheap, Well I order the product and waited 3-4 days before it arrived ( 4 days late, although I paid extra for faster delivery, Later I learned it would have had not mattered, it would have arrived 7-10 business day, regardless) no problem I was excited to get 450 dollars IPad for 250, The box was brand new, everything was warped neat and all parts were in their places, I plugged in the device and waited to get the IPad charges completely as it was directed in the owner manual, I waited several hours the light never turned green ( as it was supposed to) next day I start using the device, in my surprise it was very slow and free of any software that they had promised included in the Ipod, I had to go on line download all the software manually one by one with many difficulties to get to the websites, the password and ID that was provided by the vender was not working, several calls to un cooperative tech supports, finally I got all the softwares downloaded, this took several days, I notices the IPod was getting very hot and slower, just after using it for 1 to 2 hours, I brought that up to their tech support, they said if it got worse, we will send you a new battery, after 5 days the battery complete quit working and was not holding any charges, so They asked me to take the battery off and give them the number that was written on the back of the battery, while I was taking the battery off I noticed lots of dust a broken CPU board parts that was glued together inside of the IPod, I was very angry and called HSN and demand a new IPod, I was told it was 32 days and they are not going to honer their 30 days replacement warranty because I was 2 days late, I said the IPod was Refurbished and used, they said ..so what, you had 30 days to notice this and send it back, you chooses to keep it and now you have an option to send it back to the factory and you are responsible for the shipments both ways..now I have to send it back to original factory to be repaired and it is going to take 4-6 weeks OR longer before I get the IPod back ..Be aware of Refurbish products sold in HSN, the IPod I received had been used to the point, It has been buffed and waxed! to make it look new, of course its hard to notice this until you take it apart or remove the so called protective thine plastic cover off, then you would notice the scratches, small cuts, dings Etc;, this device had been in possession of some other person / broken then fixed and sold to you and I under a brand new device ..be careful, many complains about this kind of behaviors have been filed in BBB which I did not know at the time .

Faulty product
Don"'t buy the joy mangano eyelglasses because if you do expect the bows (Ear pieces) to fall off. I purchased three sets and everytime I put on a pair the bow falls off. I called hsn — they tell you to call ingenious designs who give you the run around. Finally after many calls I was promised that replacements would come. They still haven't and it has been over 2 months. I called hsn who promised to help if ingenious designs didn't take care of the situation. I called hsn last night and was told they wouldn't help. Why is hsn selling items they do not stand behind? I thought both companies were reputable, but I have learned they are out to sell not take care of their customers!

In April of last year I purchased a set of "kitchen Logic" ceramic knifes and peeler from HSN. Recently I noticed that the blades on the knifes were chipping and was forced to discard the food that I was cutting as we were unable to find the chips. I contacted HSN and was given a number to contact the manufacturer. [protected]). When this number is called you talk to an answering machine where you are told to leave a brief message and a number where you can be reached and they will return your call before "the end of the next business day". What a joke, in one blog about this product the consumer has been waiting three months. HSN admits that this product is unsafe but they are unable to do anything in this matter. Shop elsewhere, go to retailers that stand behind the products that they sell and someone that cares about Your safety.
Ingenious Designs is actually a subsidiary of HSN. I purchased an IMAN travel bag and the handles literally ripped off the second time I used it. HSN won't accept any returns if beyond 30 days period. They tell you to call "the manufacturer" Ingenious Designs, founded by Joy Mangano. It's quite a racket. They won't remedy my situation. I was an HSN customer for over 10 years. I cancelled all my auto ships and will only shop QVC going forward. QVC has much more stringent quality policies. HSN sells inferior product.

Hsn falsely offers "flex pay" options to break up the payments for an item over 2, 3, 4 or 5 periods. it's a sales technique to make items appear more affordable. what they don"t tell you is that when you opt for the flex pay you may be billed for two flex payments in the same monthly billing! I can't believe there has not been legal action for false / deceptive advertising! I just got a statement with 2 vitamin products which were both on"3 flex pay"(which is good because each was over $100) and the statement shows charges for"1 of 2 flex pay"and"2 of 2 flex pay" on the same billing. this is an hsn credit card, so not a case where they have no control over how charges are billed.
I believe this is misleading and should be a violation of consumer protection and/or good faith and fair dealing laws.

I also experienced many billing issues, this one mentioned and others, trying to pay off full balance, feeling like HSN could do nothing after I called and told to call credit card , who keeps billing me, even though I paid off account already. Supposedly 2 times per their credit customer service. I closed the account. Never opening another one.

I ordered a gateway quad core laptop from HSN with my HSN card was on a Today's Special so got it for a real good price. Ordered it on 3/12/11 said estimated arrival date 3/31/11. I went online to check my order status said CC declined so I called customer service they said it wasn't that the CC was declined they Cancelled my order because someone from their company called me and left a message to make sure this wasn't fraud but since I didn't call back they cancelled my order. I NEVER received a phone call from anyone regarding this order this is why I never called back. The representative wasn't any help and actually kind of rude. I spoke with a Supervisor got the same story with all these apologies but still no laptop they can't help me it isn't in stock so can't re-order it for me (yes it wouldn't be in stock it was a special value or whatever they want to call it). They offered me a $50 credit what good is it I will NEVER order from them again! I was telling one of my co-workers about this and she said the same thing happened to her but it was a computer she ordered and then she said about a week later she showed they cancelled it and when she called them they told her it was because the product was sold out! If you do order from HSN don't get your hopes up that you will actually receive your purchase.
You discovered recently what I've known since 1994: HSN is not reliable, their customer service is marginal, and WHEN THEY SCREW UP...YOU ARE OUT OF LUCK! However, the credit card security problem you are having is more serious: I've been there, done that. My bank also USED TO fail to call me when a major purchase was made (I pay monthly for this security service), and I would be very ticked off that they didn't provide the service they promised. HOWEVER: they would let the purchase go through. If I called them and contested the purchase as being fraudulent, they would nullify the purchase and credit my account. You need to talk to somebody important at the credit card division of your bank and straighten this out PRONTO! Good luck.
wont let me return items after cancelled my account
I orered a lot of clearance clothing itmes only to have my account closed right after for returning too much stuff. When I bought this stuff it was with the promise of a 30 day money back guarantee if I need to return something. I returned it lst week to their warehouse and when I called about a missing return shipment to them yesterday that i had previously refused, they told me I couldnt return anything that my account was closed. They already received my return package and it is just sitting in the warehous I guess to be returned to me. I am contacting my credit card company in the morning to refute all the charges. They entice and encourage you to buy buy buy telling you you can always retun it if you dont like it and then this. What a racket.

Return policy sucks
HSN will not accept returns that were Christmas gifts if you purchased them prior to October 1st. That's insane! I can return things to QVC, Kohls, Penneys, etc. with no problem as long as it is returned in January and have done so. They are sending my items back to me. It's stupid of them to lose a customer and pay for return shipping (and I used their return label so they've paid to send it twice) rather than give me a refund. I've canceled my membership and will no longer order from them. I suggest anyone else be careful about doing their Christmas shopping early, or any shopping with HSN.
I ordered aKeith Urban 50-piece Deluxe PLAYER Acoustic-Electric Guitar Pack
on 4/23/16 and tried to cancel the order on 4/24/16. The order has not shipped and according to the site it is being packaged. I was told that I am not able to cancel, it must be done by midnight the day of the order. I was not aware of this policy. I was told that I need to wait for the order to be received and then pay to return it. I find this a very poor return policy.
I stopped shopping there last year. I only shop QVC and ShopNBC now. It was the best thing I ever did. I have saved SOOOO much money! I think that is a few years HSN is going to spiral downward, they have burnt so many once loyal customers.
i hate HSN, it is a hack shopping site, I hope they crash soon, They have over priced crap. I have seen the same things if not better quality in the stores for less money. They charge a small fortune in shipping and tax, add up all you have spent in shipping on HSN, you may stop buying with them. I hate the CS, they are condescending. Most of the time it is an HSN glitch that causes problem but they make the consumer suffer. Try to shop less and less at this place. QVC is so much better, with a higher quality control

Purchased a pocket video camera from HSN and because I purchased it more than 30 days before Christmas, they refused to exchange or allow me to return it for a refund. Personally in this time of lost jobs, lost homes and higher prices - I think that a policy that causes people who put faith in a company to be out of their hard-earned money and to be left with unusable products is shameful and dishonest. Kmart has an extended return policy which allows you to return substandard items and products for up to 6 months in most cases. While I don't expect a company like HSN do be that generous, I do think that 30 days on an item purchased as a Christmas gift and that is clearly defective should be handled in a customer friendly way. Every place I can lodge a complaint will hopefully over time put a place like HSN out of business. This is a company that has no concern for their customers and which clearly do not stand by their products - many which are substandard. This is the second item I've purchased from HSN that has not worked. A margarita maker had to be thrown in the trash. After using it only three times, it just stopped working. I didn't bother to deal with HSN about that as I had it for over a year but clearly HSN is selling crappy products. My suggestion: utilize stores and websites that offer more generous return/exchange policies, do a little web surfing and check out places that lodge complaints about businesses before giving them your money. HSN's prices are not the best. After looking around, I found the same camera for cheaper somewhere else and the price I paid could have purchased a pocket video camera from a better known name brand like Sony or Kodak. As consumers, we are the ones who keep places like HSN in business but we have the power to render them useless when they don't treat their paying cumstomers with honesty, courtesy and respect.
On sept 30 i purchased ring with protection plan they had charged my acct. and now i was waiting for the protection plan in writing in mail. I didn’t get the protection plan as of yet in writing so i called and they couldn’t find the order # which they sent me in e-mail. so now i see they charged my acct again so i called and the supervisor said she found the original order # but how convenient the other people couldn’t find it when i called 10 times about issue but she stilled charged my acct again for the money. i want everyone to know that they are a rip off as she said she never charged my acct for it and they did because i was charged 164.35 that day and that was including the protection plan i will never shop with them again and just beware if you do that you may get charged 2 times for something.and the supervisor and the cust service people don’t know what they are doing.

I placed an order on 11/26 for a Todd English 14" Paella Green Pan-An HSN Exclusive-as of this date 12/16 I still do not have it as UPS CANNOT deliver to a PO Box-During the ordering process, I had a specific discussion as to sending it to my PO Box as the last time I sent to the alternate, it never made it-NO mention was made as to a problem with a UPS/PO Box conflict-Strike 1-on 12/13 I called customer service and was told to wait a few more days-no mention again as to the UPS/PO Box conflict &"Since It Was Sent By Mail There Is NO Tracking Number"-Strike 2-today12/16, I again called Customer Service where lo & behold I was told it was returned 12/14 because of the inability to deliver-I was told the earliest I could get a replacement was 12/22-like it was a favor-This evidently did not take into account that after 20days I would NOT have the item to give as a gift at the "Out of State" party I was to attend this weekend-NO overnight shipping was available even after I offered to pay extra-STRIKE 3 - The attempt to register this complaint at the HSN website was also met with futility- would welcome a legitimate response, not an empty apology as to why I should even consider doing business ever again with HSN again.
Should make a good story at the party though.

I ordered a tv and placed it on my cc with the 4 payment flex payment option. I had more than enough credit available. I noticed two days later that the same item was now only available with 1 or 2 payment option. On day 3 after I placed the order, I received a call from their security department. They told me that because I chose to ship to another address other than my own, I would have to answer some security questions. I agreed. The first question asked was who my auto loan was with. I don not have an auto loan nor have I had one in over 25 years, so I answered does not apply. Whom do you do your banking with? I answered none of the above because the did not list the bank I have my 15 year account with! They asked for the last 4 numbers in my ssn. All the numbers they read to me started with 5. Mine starts with 7 so of course I answered none of the above. And the best one is when they named 4 persons who may have lived with me in the past 10 years. I have lived in the same home for over 18 years, and I would think that I would know who lived with me, BUT HOW WOULD THEY KNOW! THIS IS BS.

This has to be by design. I placed the order, using their "secure website" I typed in the address I wanted the item shipped to when I placed the order. This make no sense with one exception. It sounds like they did a credit check, didn't like what they saw, and cancelled my purchase. I said to them, well just ship it to my home address, and they said because I failed their security questions my account is locked and cannot be changed.
I will be looking into this to see if this is legal and if they can be sued. I know what my credit is. If they stated that purchases are based on a credit check I wouldn't have ordered anything from them.

Wow, , , , , , , , , , , , The SAME EXACT THING happened to me. I placed an order for a flat screen tv ( LG), and a wall mount for it . They shipped the wall mount, yet not the tv . Unlike your case, NO ONE called me though . I called them 4 days later to ask why my tv wasn't shipped and they gave me the same as they did you. 2 security tests, which they say I failed twice, then told me to call back today and speak to a security supervisor ( JOSE ) . So I call back today and this very rude SOB acts like someone did HIM wrong. He then goes on to blame his " Vendors" for the obscene delay, and tells me he can do nothing more for me . What? HSN has "frozen" my account, therefore I cannot place another order until this ISSUE is resolved . Jose however shows no regard or interest in promptly rectifying this.

A few days later I looked at my order to see the CC was denied? I called HSN and they blamed the bank. I called the bank, they blamed HSN. Something involving the expiration date, but I did not have my card since this all was in one process, and this was an immediate purchase. If this is a glitch in their system, I wonder how many other customers got duped into opening a new account. HSN has my phone number and email and they never contacted me either, but even so, I did not know what the expiration date was as it hadn't arrived yet so this was between the bank and HSN.
I called the bank after losing my purchase and canceled the card, and called HSN to let them know I no longer want to be a customer.
HSN is trying to collect money from me for certain installments and Comenity bank is collecting the same money for the same merchandise. I have never missed a statement Payment in 10 years and they are both wanting money for the same items. A scam that is for sure.
I feel duped by HSN just like you! I only wished I came across your story first before placing my order! I originally purchased a tv from them. Upon receiving it was damaged. So i had it sent back and waited for my replacement. A couple days after sending back I decided I no longer wanted this order fulfilled. I wanted to cancel it all together. I didn't want a replacement/exchange, just my refund. Well for some reason, when I called to check status of the order so I can cancel it, I was told so many Bulls*** as to nothing can be done because updates on their system hasn't been updated and nothing is showing on my account. They were waiting for vendor to update their system first so they can see exactly where about the order was at in the process. Toile a long aggravating story short, I was unable to cancel that replacement shipment even tho at the time I had called to cancel, it was not already packaged but still sitting in the warehouse! Now I'm expected to receive a product I no longer want and pay for the return shipping because I don't plan on keeping the tv. Just a waste of time and effort for me. Never will I buy anything from HSN again. Their shady customer service and order processing methods are all a big scam to get your money one way or the other. Very disappointing service I received this time in the years I been a loyal customer. No longer do I support HSN and their poor business tactics. It's a shame.
HSN duped me into opening one of their credit cards when I ordered a Christmas gift for my husband. They gave me a $20.00 discount which seemed like a good deal... Well they guaranteed Christmas delivery on the item so since I hadn't received it yet I decided to call them today and find out where it was in transit. Guess what?! They "over-sold" the item and it is now back ordered, will not be delivered by Christmas and if they are unable to get it back into inventory by Jan. 17th the order will be cancelled. I asked them when they were planning on contacting me with this information to which they replied that they didn't have my email address on record. Funny they were able to email me a 15% off your next purchase from HSN coupon code the same day I made the purchase! I will be cancelling the worthless HSN credit card that I have NO intentions of ever using. First and last experience with HSN was NOT a good one. Customer service manager offered me an apology and a $5.00 credit to my account - WOW how generous considering now I need to find another Christmas gift for my husband in the next 24 hours...

If this is a glitch in their system, I wonder how many other customers get sucked in. They have my phone number and email and they never contacted me either, but even so, I did not know what the expiration date was as the card hadn't arrived yet so this was between the bank and HSN.
I called the bank after losing my purchase and canceled the card, and called HSN to let them know I no longer want to be a customer. Google HSN to see all the complaints about them.

Home shopping network is a complete fraud!
I started the order process on 9/16/10... My order was cancelled... Nobody at hsn knows why but yet the money was taken from my account. I reordered several times and spoke with several supervisors who all assured me they would fix the problem but each supervisor had a different excuse for why the order was cancelled. Today is 10/9/10 and my last order placed was again cancelled! Today the reason is different from all other reasons.
These people don't have a clue what is going on. Maybe they are working with the banks to hold your money hostage because at one point they had held 4 times the amount they were supposed to hold and then you have to wait (In my case one week) before your funds are available but yet your order was cancelled.
Crooks, crooks, banksters crooks. Don't order from hsn. They are frauds. They apparently didn't want to honor their television ad and make it so difficult for you that you give up. Not me I am reporting them to ag/doj/fbi.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
