It was 11:25 pm on a Sunday night on 13th October 2019 when I finished work and decided to grab myself a vegan Cheeseburger (No Tomato, add peri-peri sauce) on the way home. I went through the Hungry Jacks Drivethru in Ellenbrook and placed the order (Order number 1137). After picking up the order I drove 12 km home only to find a beef burger with egg, bacon, and tomato packed in a vegan burger wrap paper. I was furious to find out that my burger tasted absolutely nothing like a vegan burger when I took the first bite without noticing the ingredients. I am highly religious and have never consumed any type of meat in my life. It is ridiculous to experience such horrible unprofessionalism especially when you have special dietary requirements. After a long day at work, I had to drive back 12 km to the restaurant to replace the burger with what I originally ordered. It still doesn't end here. I did receive an actual vegan burger, however, this time there was no vegan cheese in it (even though I was charged for it) and whoever made the burger decided to add pickles in it. Vegan cheeseburgers don't have pickles. It tasted horrible and I had to chuck most of it in the bin. I previously had a similar experience with Hungry Jacks Beechboro but I decided not to speak about it as mistakes do happen but this experience was an absolute disappointment. I pledge to never visit any of the Hungry Jacks restaurant ever again. And also I will leverage this on all social media platforms to bring this to people's attention mostly on Vegan forums. Hungry Jacks staff are extremely unskilled and don't know their job.
