not taking food allergies seriously
On Aug 23, 2018 my brother and I stopped at the I-Hop in Cleveland, TN for breakfast. I ordered the beef tips without mushrooms I explained to the waitress that I was allergic to mushrooms. She wrote it down and said ok My food came out with mushrooms I told the waitress my food has mushrooms She took it back to the kitchen telling the cooks not to add mushrooms that I was allergic to them I heard her tell those guys Who couldn't hear her It took what seen to be five mins or less to bring my food back out I checked the beef tips I didn't see any mushrooms I ate one and half chunks of the tips when my mouth because seem to be numb, the outside of my mouth was irritated itchy and on fire Eyes burning Back of ears itchy evidently the Cooks scraped the mushrooms off of the food and serve me the beef tips that had mushrooms still on them I spent two days at Tennova Medical Center ER for the actions of these guys not taking food allergies seriously which could lead to the death of someone
falsely accused
At flint Michigan location after paying for my bill with credit card, my wife, daughter and myself went to our truck to go home when we were approached by the manager and her employee (our server) danelle and they claimed that I did not pay for our bill. I showed the manager the copy of the receipt and she proceed to argue with the server to confirm that we were the people who did not pay for our meal. Danelle said we were the ones that did not pay. I then went inside to show them my receipt to prove my innocence. And danelle said that my receipt was incorrect and I told her that the last 4 digits on the reciept matched my card and my name was correct on the reciept which also matched my card. I have never been so humiliated at an establishment before. Along with the fact that they scared my 8 year old daughter into thinking they were going to have the police take me away. The manager did apologize for the treatment but damage already done!

I was there eating breakfast Saturday morning, 8/25 when I had seen the host. He was a young black gentlemen, he seated us and was very welcoming and warm, the General Manager, her name was Shandra, was having him clean up around, at first I didn't see no problem but as she was telling him a line was forming and she then began to cuss at him in front of the guests then proceeded to have the other Host, Harley I think, she had her leave to run an errand for her and she never came back from the time I was there. The GM had caught my eye by the way She was treating her employee who was doing everything she asked and never complained once. These employees deserve better leadership than an hateful woman. This is not the only occasion I have came to eat here and she was also cussing in the back at the cooks, and I could hear from the dining area. New management needs to be taken place or I will not come back! The way She treated her employees was ABSURD and uncalled for. As hard as that young man was working, he deserved to be treated better instead of being worked like an old horse. Only thing she was missing was the whip! I eat here very often and until new management is hired, I will not be coming back and I'll let all my friends know. Multiple occasions of the same behavior is NOT OKAY.

Today my wife and I ate at the IHOP on Skibo Rd. Fayetteville, NC your locator is going to say elsewhere because we have satellite internet. Anyway this young man in a tee shirt seemed to be the manager off duty, becuse everyone was greeting him, and some waitresses hugged him. He and the waitress stared at my wife and I, we ate and left and not 30 minutes afterwards we both had diahreia bad, I had to go theee times.
This has happened every time we eat there, and my next complaint is to the health inspectors. I suggest you tell them if they put soap or visine or metamucil or whatever in the food again they will ne fired, which is better than being sued. I have two attorneys, and a private investigator I use for my business. I wonder how many are illegals, and on drugs, many almost all have tatoos. Used to be tatooed people could not get a job in a restaurant because they can get hepatitis from the process. We are always couteous, and I tip around 20-25% so why poison us?
My wife and I have been dining at IHOP for several years usually at the Newburgh, NY location.
The food has always been superb, but more importantly, the serving staff has always been attentive, courteous and efficient.
Management treats their staff with the utmost respect and since we have been going to the restaurant. There has been very little turnover.
We felt that it was important to provide this feedback to you.

takeout order
Call to place takeout order, am put on hold. Wait 10 minutes, no response. I hang up and call back, cause people get busy and accidents happen, I'm a server, so I get it. Woman takes my order. I live ten minutes down the road, go to pick up food expecting place to be moderately busy, or short staffed. Nope, before I walked in (10 minutes after placing order) three lady's left. There was no one else inside. So there's no reason for them to leave me on hold for so long. Lady meets me at counter, tell her I'm for pick up, she makes super lame excuse about the phone. Whatever. She goes to grab my food and I hear (server or cook I don't know) yelling and messing around In the back. Like I can hear her from the lobby, all the way by the front door. Hands me food and I think that is that. I get home and nope, they forgot part of my order. Like, eggs, hash browns, sausage the whole Shabang. And the food I did get looked disgusting. So at this point, I'm mad. They're slow, but they have time to goof around and can't even put a Togo order together, and are rude and unresponsive on the phone? That's just rediculous. So I call back, tell them the deal and ask for refund. Manager tells me he's not authorized, understandable not his fault, but instead of taking my name/number for GM to contact me, he tells me I need to go up there and hunt her down. So I have to go out of my way cause you guys made a mistake. Are you serious? I just hung up on him, Beyond lazy and unprofessional. I don't even care about the money, frankly I just flabbergasted by how rediculous this was. I am never ever coming back, and I'm sure they don't give a flying f, cause obviously they have zero initiative and don't give a crap about anything. Dissapointing, you can do better guys, I've been there, it's really not that hard.

Ronkonkoma ny. If I could give negative stars I would. Rotten smelly lettuce brought to our table all brown and inedible. Mozzarella sticks came out burnt with cheese all out, no sauce or plates. Asked for the manager at which point a young girl with a voice that sounded like Mickey mouse came out and asked us how she can help. I asked, you're the manager because she looked like she was far too young for the position. Told her my complaints, she said she would take so.ething off the bill. Did not seem to truly care nor did she appear to be mortified by our service so far. We left to go to the good steer which was great! We told the people who work there they need new management. Worst service ever!

The food was served cold and the building was very dusty. Bacon was served cold the eggs was served cold the Browns were served cold the coffee was cold place was very dusty. Replacing very dusty and and as though it hadn't been clean breakfast was also served without Coast which would normally come with a breakfast terribly disappointed probably will never return

I went in with my friend about 4pm.. no one in the resturant..I had ordered a spicy chicken sandwich atms asked for the chili sauce onit since the last time they didn't put it on. The waitress comes back and brings my friend food and tells me the sauce is frozen so i can't have it. I told her can u defrost it. Meanwhile it took her 15 mins to tell me that. My friend is and has Been eating. They bring my food extremely messy and I had made a joke well the cook myst of been mad since he threw it all over not to mention with wilted lettuce. I couldn't even eat it, it was so messy.. now an hour had past and finally got my new sandwich and asked for it to go. Also in the pics is what theysay us by.. dirty dishes.. need I mind u the place was empty..I ..was still charged for my food andno discount..was given either.. very poor customer service. Good morning I am filing this complaint because of the service that was give and the condition of the bathrooms. I visit your store # 3238 Sunday August 19, 2018. When me and other guest arrived there were many employee standing around the front desk, none of which acknowledged us. we were standing for some time before one of the employees Named Willy came out of the back and had us seated. Once seated we were there for forty five minutes before our waitress came to the table. While I must say she was courteous we were still sitting for some time. Next I went to the bathroom to find it in a very bad condition. on entering the bathroom the waist can was spilling over, there was trash all over the floor and not a commode that had been flushed. I found this to be highly unsanitary. when coming out of the bathroom with wet hand because the was no paper towels i person at the front desk pull out a foll of paper towels from under the desk and ask did I need them. At this point I was not only discussed but furious. I requested to speak to the manager who name is Nate. I share my experience with him. He was more concerned with me contacted corporate. Not to mention that the staff were standing around in clusters while people were waiting to place their order. When I asked nate why they were all just standing around, he told me that he had five people in training. I shared with him that it is not good practice to have five trainees on a busy day. He then promised to make sure that our food will come out hot to which it did not. I am very disappointed and questioning if I should every visit your store again.

I submitted the complaint a few days before june 25, 2018. On june 25, I received a response, along with case # 679490. A few days later I received a call from ihop "guest relations?" saying that they are looking into the problem. On july 20, I submitted a reminder. Today is august 19; still waiting.
Ihop corporate "guest relations?" must be as slow as their restaurants.

I am writing this review on your IHOP in Portsmouth, Va. It's hard to put into words just how horrible the service was at this restaurant today. The manager and assistant manager at this location do not have an adequate knowledge of how the process should flow or how to respect employees or customers. They need training on customer service, time management, respect for the individual- both customer and their employee and a refresher on exactly what their roll is within that business process.
My family visited your store this morning for breakfast. We placed our order, then waited over an hour to get any food. When we got our French toast, it was cold...the rest of the "split decision" came in waves... Waves that were several minutes in between. Our waitress kept apologizing to us for what was apparently not her fault. She placed the orders, but the kitchen area was severely lacking in either help or ability. The man at the table beside ours asked to speak to the manager, but she refused to come out and talk to him. Instead, she sent out a male waiter to apologize. Our waitress was treated with disrespect and a lack of common decency both by co-workers and the manager. I can't emagine what she endures on a daily basis working there, nor why she would want to continue working there. I expect that part of the managers roll is to handle problems as they arise, however she refused to talk with customers who had complaints.
As an additional note, all the Caucasian customers were put in one section with a Caucasian waitress...? So I believe you also have a discrimination problem as well... That problem appears to relate both to your customers and employees. This is a management 101 no-no.
I visited the Portsmouth location web page...unfortunately after my visit. Do you as a management team read the reviews? They are horrible, and all reference poor service at this location. The I hop in Los Lunas has very poor customer service. I have tried to attempt to eat their three times within the last 2 months and every time I go in there it takes at least 20 to 30 minutes before anybody comes and takes our drink order and then comes back and asked us if we want anything to eat. Then I have sat and watched other people come in as we're sitting there waiting and they are seated and their drinks are brought to them and then they're asked if they're ready to order when we're still sitting there waiting for someone to even offer us our drinks. We have complained to the store manager it does no good. The first time we went to eat there our waitress took forever to come get her order and we didn't see her there for the longest time and then she finally comes out and apologize because not only was she the front Hostess and the waitress but she was also the cook seriously people can't you hire more people to get help in that place. I know personally I will not be going back to that place and several others who have complained as well and I'm sure nothing will get done about it but I just thought I'd post this just in case.

This ihop took the bite. Not busy but still had to wait 20 min to be seated. Waiter wasn't that pleasant to talk to. Food was warm & it felt like sitting under the heat lamp. Coke had a bad taste & the waiter admitted that last week they had an issue but when I asked why he didn't mention it to me, he said he didn't think I would taste it. I spent almost $25 & I have never regretted IHOP before. BUT BECAUSE OF THIS TIME, I just Know I'm never visiting again

Hi I'm making a complaint and also something I think should be broughten up At the Austin Texas Koing location...lately there's been a lot of marijuana smoking outside the establishment in the back couple of the employees names are Kianta Freeman and Taylor Ellis, lydia also one of the managers is also comdoning But also selling marijuana at the job to named davon or donte there's been complaints before bout the smell outside but having the young man as a manger nothing gets said nor anyone gets in trouble I use to b a manager there and I dont agree to the things at all Mainly night shift doesn't keep up to work not trying be rude or racist our night staff is African Americans so night crew acts out and different then day
belgian chocolate mousse pancakes
Stopped at the Appleton, Wi. IHOP this noon and ordered two Belgian Chocolate Mousse Pancakes just to try them. After the waitress brought them, I noticed there wasn't any mousse even on them and she never even came back to check as to how things were, so I couldn't even flag her down to tell her. When she finally got around to bringing the bill she asked how it was and when I told her there was no mousse, she said to go to the checkout and she'd take 10% off my bill. The service at IHOP has deteriorated a lot over the past year and the staff acts as if they're doing a person a favor by waiting on them. But they have plenty of time to laugh and talk when they're supposed to be working. Don't they realize that people tip according to the service they receive? My husband and I went into Ihop on Saturday during dinner time to try on of the new burgers. Waitress Anna K 420 waited on us. I first asked for UNsweeten ice tea. and received sweeten tea. and then was told there was new tea being made. We also made noticed to how very dirty it was where we where sitting. The help complained about who was suppose to do it. We received our food, which was so very greasy. Had to ask for sauces and it just was not a pleasant experience didn't get tea until almost done, but did have water. My husband and I always go to the restaurant for breakfast and now I understand why. We will never go back and eat in the afternoon, because bottom line no one wants to work and make it pleasant. Here is information on ticket Chk 4509, The amount of the check was 26.56 and that was with senior discount. The only thing that was good was my hamburger.. Thank you very much for allowing me to tell you this.

I am highly upset. I took me and a sibling out to eat and ordered the sirloin tips breakfast with no onions or mushrooms well done. When my food was received the insides were pink and had blood . I asked the waiter to cook it more so that it would be well done. When he returned my food it was burnt and hard. I also ordered the 2x2x2 and the pancakes were hard.

When attempting to make a call for pickup this business just let the phone ring. This happened four times. On the fifth, sixth, and seventh time we got a busy signal. On the eighth time, someone picked up and then put the phone down as we could hear what was going on in the room. On the ninth through 14th time, we got busy signals again.
If you don't want people to order, just pick up the phone and tell people to not order. Don't put customers through a run around.
management cursing and disrespecting employees in front of guest
This complaint is coming from an ACTIVE DUTY SOLDIER. I am a regular attending the ihop in rock hill, at least 3-4 times a week. I know every single employee and when they hire a new employee, today I went went in with my grandparents because they were in town and had never been to an ihop before. From what I can assume the manager today, has yet again cursed out another employee, I'm honestly getting sick of this! Like good management would pull the person to the side and make it a learning experience, not making the server feel like complete crap. I've been coming to this ihop for a quite some time and I see it happen almost everytime! This is truly ridiculous... I'm so outraged that I can't even bring my children or wife around this place anymore, I seriously think this manager should be fired or at least have a re-evaluation to see if he should even be considered for a management position. I've seen and done a lot of crap, that I have to deal because of my job but this is a franchise who should keep it professional at all points. Children and senor citizens shouldn't have to deal at all with this behavior from a manager.

I've been to this restaurant a few times. But however the last two times, I've been treated like [censored]. Last night a waitress came up to where I was sitting talking to my waitress, and started flipping out on me due her thinking that the cook was being rude to her. She continued to swear at me, and tell me to keep my f*cking boyfriend is check. The cook is my husband, but I don't get involved in work stuff. Then she continued to yell and cause an issue. Then the assistant manager spoke to the cook and the waitress, the problem was not solved. She came back out and still continued to talking crap. As I go to leave another waitress that is friends with her decided to call me an over weight [censored] in front of a table with customers at.
Husband spoke to the boss, and nothing was done. He didn't check video or even put a stop to it. I've been to this restaurant several times and never had a complaint. Now I'm filing this complaint and calling the head person that owns these stores. Being a paying customer, I shouldn't have to deal with the way I was treated and talked too.
