Indian Railways missbehaviour of ticket controller

Today it was a shocking and very bad experience that i had in pune railway station.
I went there to see-off my servant who is going to tatanagar from pune. Initially I bought him a ticket
of general class as tickets were not available for sleeper class.
Then I approached one ticket chequer and I requested him to convert the second class ticket to sleeper class after paying the difference amount. As I was having second class ticket so it was his duty to convert that ticket into sleeper class after taking the difference amount. Instead of this he was asking for full amount.
Later on he misbehaved with me and threatend me to put me behind bars.

This all drama continued for 5 hours and later on i took leave by taking a lesson that never to raise voice against any injustice . just stand and watch the drama from the mob.

Complaint agans duty tc for a/c coach, train no 1005 dated 06/02/2009. name of tc mr bendre.

My complaint against tc bendre as below i
Was buy a ticket from lucknow jn to pune via kalyan for 2108 [ lucknow ltt ] super fast 05/02/2009 in 3ac pnr no [protected] it was confirmed up to kalyan jn. from kalyan to pune I can travel by any super fast train in 3ac class onward journyey. lucykly on 06/02/2009 train no 2108 reached at kalyan junction right time and I board the train no 1005 mumbai osmanabad express at kalyan junction on 06/02/2009.
I asked very respectly tc mr bendre to allot one birth or seat upto pune. before he checked my ticket he was angry on me and shout without asking me why you board on this train? I told him I have a ticket first you check this and then tell me whwt you want. again he shout dont teach me railways law first I will check then tell you and stand near the door of compartment do not stand with me. I told ok. after 15 minuts he checked all coaches come back to his seat. I again asked what happend sir again he showed his misbeahver he shout railway is not your own property and I am not your personal servent there is no vacancy in three tier ac you go to sleeper class and find there or go to genral compartmet. that time three more passangers was there and this tc mr bendre was shouting them also and told I will see you at kuruduwadi jn. they also like to launch complaint agains him. theirs pnr no is [protected]. when train reached karjat I saw there are three nos of birth was vacant but mr bendre didnt allowed me to sit there, I dont no why he angry on me and all other passangers. I think he is not satisfied with his job or he is mentaly retierd? which three seats was vacant I am providing the nos 24, 39 and 62. I told him sir three seats are vacant nobody is there, very roudly he told me but I dont want to provide you. I told him I will give complent agains you. he told me go I dont scare any one so many mlas and ministers I am keeping in my pocket. then I told him I will take strongly action against you. then he started use badword in marathi language and told me this is not up bihar this is maharashtra. I told him I am also from maharashtra, ani mee tumchcya viruddh takrar nondvina ahe. then he told me in marathi jaa kay uptayecha upat * after reached pune I went to platform no 1 near chrt board and saw the coach no b1 birth no 24 reserve for mr pradeep karhade m 50 pnr [protected] pune to lur/ birth no 39 reserve for mr ranjeet patil m 24 pnr no [protected] pune to umd / birth no 62 reserve for mr anil m 52 pnr [protected] pune to lur. my journey was as below on 03/02/2009 pune to agra by train no 2147 pnr [protected] 3ac, agra to lucknow on 04/02/2009 by train no 3240 3ac pnr [protected], and lucknow pune on 05/02/2009 by train no 2108 3 ac total kmtr app 3400 and I am 51 years old I never feel tieredness at compliting my 3200 kmtsr journey but I feel fisiculy and mentaly tiredness in this 150 kmtr journey because of mr bendre ilresponsible tc. that three hours I was stand near the toilet and kept my laguage near the coach attandence laguage. my rquest take legal actinon against tc mr bendre and avoid the hearesment of indian railways respected costomurs. this is the my bad experience. main chattisgarh ke bilaspur ke paas akaltara ka niwasi hu mere mummy papa ko rakhi ke din apni bahan ke yaha bhatapara jaana tha jiske liye maine akaltara ke railway staiton me karib 11:20 me phone kiya akaltara raiway station ka no-hai [protected] jisme maine 3 baar phone dial kiya lekin mujhe saahi jaankari nahi mili waha par jo bhi phone uthata hai wo boltey hai ki jd aa rahi hai lekin puri sahi jaankari nahi batate hai hum logo ko sahi jaankari naila jiska no hai [protected] se lena padta hai so please humare akaltara me ek aise staff ki posting karey jo sabhi ke hith me kaam karey thanks

I am a daily pasenger from Baruipur To Dalhousi by bass.Every day Total Pasenger late because Baghajatin Rail brige.8 months ago Railway not taking acction for the brige work.Pls take a acction for this brige reparing.

Indian Railways ticket issue problem for physically handicapped person

Hi
I am payal thaker. My brother is physically handicapped, while travelling by train to get the concession he has to go personally to book the ticket and show the certificate.
1) . He has to stand in the queue despite lot of difficulty while standing.
2) . The ticket window is at so much height that its become so difficult to give the papers there. He fall twise while doing this process.
My suggestion is why they need all this proof while issuing a ticket to physically handicapped person while they can cross check the same when the person is travelling by the train by a ticket checker.
This i feel is the descrimination of the human right even after giving them concession in the ticket.
I will appeal to indian ministry of railway to alter the rules for physically challenged person and pass some sensible rule inwhich such person dont hv to suffer while booking a ticket.

my suggesion is to 1) pl. startissuing e-tickets to ph passengers. 2) pl.amend the rull of being present personally while booking the ticket, it is unneccessary & inhuman treatment to p.h. being present at the time of booking.

Hi,
Can some one tell the exact concession for Phisically handicapped..
Before two days i booked a ticket in Sleeper class for my mother(Phisically Handicapped)...The actual cost is 167, if it is 75% concession the ticket fare should be 42rs. But they charged 130 rs.(Both for my mother and an escort)..
Can someone pls. let me know what is the exact concession for PH.

I am pankaj bakshi myself physically handicapped but I want to know why we have not get facility to book a e-ticket by internet at home because all of my brothers they have to stand in the queue despite lot of difficulty while standing have the ticket and show the certificate. I also a physically challenged person, am woring as software engg.

But for booking train ticket every time i could not use online.

If our indian govt, give an option to book to ticket thru online for physically challenged person, it would be great for us.

Am expecting that we can get it soon.

Mr. Birendra I am desgree with your complain because before complaining on any body you must have to think from his side.As Mr. gyan TT of train was performing his duty and he doesn't have any power to leave you without taken penalty.You must have to know the rule before charging to any body .Only knowing pnr no. and seat no. doesn't clarify that you are a genuine passenger and as per rule you should be treated without ticket and this was happend in this case.One thing that you should keep in your mind that your ticket is money value thing and you must have to keep safely.In this case as after paying penalty and completion of journey you can get refund from railway administration for this you must have to write to zonal claim office and send your original ticket alongwith your penalty receipts.I think we must feel happy in cooperating and following rules as these rules are made to protect us from fraud persons who are more laborious than us.The station master is not the whole and sole incharge of indian railway evrybody is responsible for his job .

Sub: Misbehaver by T.T. Mr. Gyan Singh
In Train no. 2445(Uttar Sabkranti Exp.)From Delhi to Jammu.
Dt. 22/12/2007.

Dear Sir,

With reference to the above i would like to inform to you that, We, 1.Birendra Kumar Gupta 2. Smt. Ruby Kumari Gupta 3. Miss Jyoti Sharma 4. Rajesh giri 5. Ranju Giri & my daughter were planing for touring of Vaishno Devi Darshan and Ajmer Sharif Darshan.

According we taken the reservation in train no. 2323 from Kolkata to Jam mu. railway had given the connecting train by Howrah New Delhi Exp. (Howrah To New Delhi and New Delhi to Jammu by train no.2445(Uttar Sabkranti Exp.)Arrived time of HWH New Delhi Exp. was 5:30pm at New Delhi station on 22/12/2007, but the same train was reached at 9:40pm at new Delhi Station .
Due to short of time I ran along with my family Member towards Uttar Subkranti Exp. Train. We interred in the train compartment after train was started . My friend Mr. rajesh Giri left in New Delhi station. He left in New Delhi platform with our train ticket and some luggage.
We seated in our reservation seats than contacted with T.T. Mr. Gyan Singh .We informed him that my friend Mr. Rajesh Giri has been left in New Delhi and he has our train ticket .
Further I had given him PNR number, Ticket Number and seat Number along with my identify proof . But Mr. Gyan Singh told me that we will treat as without ticket.

Further he had done the misbehaver with me . He uses the abuse lounges. He forced to thrown in Panipat Station to us. After that Mr. Gyan Singh trusted and slapped in my cheek.After that my wife came before me but he again done the mishbehaver with my family member.

After this incidence we call to police men, one was Sardarji and another was Beard person and informant about the above said situation. They cooperated us. After convincing by them to T.T. Mr. Gyan Singh he was ready to give us a birth with the clause against total fair plus Rs.250:00 as a fine and Rs.500:00 extra as a bribe money per birth.And he penalty to us of Rs. 3796:00.as per details His challan no. 369337.dt 22/12/07.

During the said incidence I inform to my friend Mr. Rajesh Giri over mobile about the situation of the train . He contacted with S.M. at New Delhi .He cooperated to him then S.M. called in my mobile by friend's mobile.

My wife told to Mr. Gyan Singh that S.M.delhi was in line but he has not ready to talk with S.M. again he done the misbehaver. Due to pressure by the passenger of the train lastly Mr. Gyan Singh talks with the S.M.

Because of our schedule was already fixed so we given him the money and taken the ticket Forproof. I enclosed here wityh a photocopy of the ticket for your reference and record.

You can also investigation verify from the all the passenger of train no.2424.I would like to request you that please take the necessary action Mr. Gyan Singh for misbehaver with us.

Indian Railways misbehave and threatning by ticket counter staff

Respected sir,
on 18 november,2007 I was travelling by 3152 down (jammu tawi express) from gomoh junction to chitpur (kolkata) with my family, but sudden change in my relative's work schedule they also planned to travell. when I went to buy the ticket from the ticket counter of gomoh junction that time I requested the staff to give me two full ticket of sleeper class and one half ticket of sleeper class for3152 down (jammu tawi express) from gomoh junction to chitpur (kolkata).in return he gave me one and half sleeper class ticket no. [protected] and one general class ticket no. [protected].
When I asked him why he has given me one general class ticket instead of a sleeper class ticket then in turn he stated in loud voice "I have not taken contract for your whole family and abused me also and threatened me that you get lost from here or I will call the r. p. f. staff".
When I went to meet the ticket counter supervisor
Then I came to know from railway staff that he has gone for lunch to his residence.
In turn I went to the ticket collector's office and explained them whole incident but first of all they were not able to give the name of ticket counter staff and they were not ready to give me complaint book. but when I insisted then they gave me complaint book and they could not help us.
Lastly I lodged a complaint in the railway complaint book vide complaint receipt no.531774 dated 18 november 2007.
Time:1430 hrs
Following are the details :-
(1) reservation ticket no: [protected]
pnr no: [protected]
(2) sleeper class ticket no. without reservation:[protected]
(3) general class ticket no:[protected]
(4) my ircrc membership no:[protected]
I asked in ticket collector's office that if in mail/express train a sleeper class ticket can be issued without reservation then why general class ticket was issued and if it is not permitted then how sleeper class ticket was issued without reservation.
this thing I have brought to your kind notice and it is my request also to take the necessary action against the concerned staff.

Please start one train From Mumbai to Hissar JN. Via Ahmedabad, Jaipur, Rewari, Bhiwani, Hissar.
Otherwise extension Mumbai Jaipur train to Up to Hissar.

We will very thank full to you for this because many passenger will be very happy and this route will cover 50% haryana and 50% rajsthan passenger.

railway me sare aam maa aur behno ka apmaan kiya jata hai..lafango ke dwara. jo iske against me aawaaz utha te hai unki jabardast pitaai bhi ho jati hai. in lafango ke darr se pure train ke kisi bhi boggy ka koi bhi insaan virodh nahi karta. jo bhi loacals daily travel karte hai unhone apni jabardast unity bana ke rakhi hai..parso hi jab mai patna se gaya "Ranchi-Hatia express" se jaa raha tha toh...MASAUDHI junction ke liye jane wale sare log mujhe ek numbr ke kamine nazar aaye..jis boggy me mai baitha tha...usme bhi kareeb 25- 30 log jabardasti reservation boggy me ghus gaye..mai bhi galat tha kyun ki mai bhi reservetion boggy me ghus gaya tha..par mai jis birth pe baitha tha woh khali tha...lekin baki sare lafange sabhi ko jabardasti dara-dhamka kar utha diya aur baith gaye. kya mahila aur kya bacchi aur kya jawaan aur kya buddhe log..inhone sabko utha diya. aisa lag raha tha ki inka aatank sab jaantey hain..isliye kisi ne aawaaz nahi uthayi. it was a really ridiculous situation inside. they were speaking in silly languages. sari MAA aur behne baithi thi aur wahin par woh log "madarchod" aur "behanchod" ya "lauda" jaise words apne talking me use kar rahe the. (sorry .mujhe ye silly words likhne pade hai kyun ki situation samajh me aaye, agar mai sirf silly word likhta toh situation kitni buri hai ..ye samajh nahi aata). sab ke sab undicipilnd larke the. jab ek ne kuch khane ke liye liya toh kha - kha kar sab chhilke logo ke upar gira diya. par kisi ne kuch nahi bola darr ke maare. phir niche ek side ki seat par ek chhoti si bacchi apni MAA ke sath baithi thi uske paas ja ke 3 larke khade ho gaye. us larki ki umar 12 saal ke kareeb hi hogi. wahan ja ke apna chinese mobile nikaal kar bahut hi silly bhojpuri song bajane lage..oh my GOD ..sab log dekh rahe the par kisi ne kuch nahi kaha..(maine bhi nahi) us larki ne duppatte se apne muh dhak liye aur apni MAA ki taraf muh kar liya. phir bhi woh bajate rahe. aakhir me woh bol padi.."plz yahan mere kaan ke paas mat bajao..udhar ja ke bajao.." par aisa laga unke kaan pe kuch aawaaz nahi gayi..aakhir woh larki phir se muh dhak li..uski aankhon me aansoo aa gaye the. sare train ke log use dekh rahe the bt no one had dare to come forward. tabhi mere bagal me baithe ek buddhe ne kaha" are babu gana mat bajao..waise bhi bahot bheed hai..pareshani ho rahi hai" unogo ne dekha aur phir hansne lage..aakhir me us buddhe ne uth kar virodh karna start kar diya..itne me bhi train ke kisi bhi aadmi ne saath nahi diya. lafango ne us buddhe ko chup chaap baith jane ko kaha warna maarne tak ki dhamki di. aur unki insult karne lage..jab baat badne lagi toh achanak us buddhe ke bagal me baithe ek aur aged aadmi buddhe par hi chillaya " ab accha lag raha h ai na..jo thode se ijjaat ke baal bache hai woh bhi utaar denge ye log, inse muh mat lagao..sab masaudhi ke log hai, roz travel kartey hai, ek baar aawaaz lagayenge masaudhi junction par na ki "maaro- maaro...ek masaudi ke log ko peet raha hai toh jitne bhi 150- 200 yahan ke local log utrenge na ..sab buri tarah maarenge laathi aur dando se..in sab ko mai jaanta hu..mai bhi roz travel hi karta hu aur mai ye roz dekhta hu..bas chup chap kisi tarah se masaudhi aur jehanabaad tak paar ho jaiye ..tab tak jo bhi kartey hai ye log ..inko karne dijiye.."

kahan hai raiway me safety ki guarantee dene wale log? railway ki police garibo se unke baggage par 2 - 3 ruppayye lene ke liye hai? aur TTE without ticket walo ko pakad ke (sirf dehati moorkhon se) paisa kamane ke liye hoti hai.
kyun nahi RPF ki team saade dress me boggy ke andar baith thi hai? kyun nahi inko pakad ke jabardast pitaai ki jati hai? kyun nahi koi aisa numbr public ko diya jaye ya usi train me sare boggies me chhote chhote poster laga diye jaye ..jis par help line number ho taki train ke sab se piche wali boggy me baithe RPF ke jawaan ko chalti train me bhi inform kiya ja sake ki kis boggy me kaise log hai? aur help maaanga jaye...aakhir chalti train me kaise inform kiya jaye ki kisi ke behan ki ijjaat looti ja rahi hai? railway ne ek bhi no. diya hai? aur agar hum inform bhi kare toh woh kaise help karenge

railway ke police hijdaa hai...aur pura railway department bhi..mai railway department se kehta hu " plz call me..mujhe RPF ke jawaan aur woh power de do..mai sirf 2 dino me pura situation change kar ke dikha dunga..chun chun ke maarunga ..sab saade dress me baithenge aur pakad ke jabardast dhulaai karenge...puri planning ke sath..

MY MOM IS TRAVAILING IN KERALA EXP{2526} SHE HAS STARTED HER JURNY 04/10/08 FROM COIMBATORE TO MATHURA JAN.IN COACH NO B-2 BIRTH NO IS 01 .
IN THE NIGHT AROUND 10 O'CLOCK SOME PEOPLE CAME AND THEY STARTED DRINKING IN FRONT OF HER AND THEY SATRTED MIS BEHAVING AFTER THAT SHE CALLED T.T.E. AND SHE REQUEST TO CHANGE HER BIRTH, HE HAS GIVE 12 NO BIRTH, THE NEXT DAY 12 NO BIRTH PERSON CAME HE HAD ASK HER TO LEAVE HIS BIRTH AND HE WAS MISBEHAVING WITH HER T.T.E ALSO CAME HE ALSO DID MIS BEHAVE FOR CHANGING THE BIRTH WITH HER.
SIR SHE IS ALONE IN THE COMPARTMENT AS A LADY IF U WILL NOT PROTECT LADY IN TRAIN ITS A VERY SHAME FULL FOR UR DEPARTMENT AND FOR OUR RAILWAY MINISTER MR LALU PARSAD YADAV ALSO.

SO PLZ KINDLY TAKE ACTION AGAIN SET THOSE PEOPLE WHO WERE DRINKING IN TRAIN AND THE TTE ALSO.
SIR MY MOM IS FEELING VERY FEAR IF ANY THING WILL HAPPEN TO HER TOTALLY U AND UR DEPARTMENT WILL BE THE RESPONSIBLE FRO THAT.

The Bangalore City railway station is dirty.There are no clean and dry toilets.The platform numbers and the exit dirctions on the footbridge are not adequate. the Monitor fixed in the platforms at a high level are in need of a great cleaning operation specially at the rear side of the monitor. More sitting space os required in all platforms for the aged, women and children and the handicapped.

The parking lot has to be cleaned and the attendents in uniform.Lot of garbage floats around Traffic cops near the entry and exit points is essential.

Indian Railways refund not done

Hi

This will be my second mail regarding the money refund — how long will it take to get my money back — since I read from the terms the money will be credited back in two or three days — still its not yet been credited.. kindly look into this.

Respected Sir/Madam

I have booked ticket from Chennai central(MAS) to Thane(TNA) on 13-Nov-2008, by giving my ICICI credit card number and CVV number. I am very much sure that I have approved payment only once by giving my CVV number. I also received the confirmation with the PNR-Number [protected]. Journey date is [protected]:45 AM, MUMBAI EXPRESS. Rs. 762.00-/-

Then later I checked my Booked ticket option to take printout and found it shows 2 extra tickets booked with some other different PNR numbers, with 2 different coaches and my credit card was charged 3 times totally. Rs. 762.00 * 3 = 2286-/-

Transaction ID PNR Number
[protected] [protected] -This is the ticket generated first time and I received the successful transaction confirmation.

Let me know how it is possible for IRCTC to book tickets for the same train and same passengers three times. I filled only one form and got the confirmation only once. Credit card and CVV number is confidential and how they can use it 2 times extra without my knowledge. How they get information for next two times to book tickets for the same train and same passenger details. According to me all the information given first time should be deleted from their cache memory once the first ticket is alloted. But when I called Customer support of Chennai IRCTC they told its your banks mistake they have released the fund 3 times for the same train and IRCTC will book the train tickets how many times they are releasing the fund (This concept is wrong, My ticket information should be deleted once from their temporary memory once the first ticket is alloted and it should not allow to request for the second time). Also they told if I want I can cancel the other two ticket where I have to bare Rs. 40 per ticket. Come on guys First my credit card was charged thrice without my knowledge and I have to loose my money by canceling my tickets. We called ICICI customer care they told that they received the request for 3 times for the fund so it was released thrice and we requested bank to escalate this case and they have done it. I have send emails to IRCTC regarding this no reply from them.

The below tickets are generated automatically which I have not approved.
So kindly check this issue which is very serious and return my money back 762 * 2 = Rs. 1524, back for the below tickets without deducting any charges. Looking forward for quick reply.

IT IS VERY COMMON THAT POOR PASSENGERS ARE DECEIVED.
ME AND MY WIFE BOUGHT TICKETS FOR AC TWO TIER AND THE TRAIN CAME WITH ONLY AC THREE TIER.ON ENQUIRING WE GOT A REPLY THAT IS VERY COMMON, YOU CAN GET A REFUND AT THE TICKET COUNTER.BUT WE ARE QUITE SURPRISED TO SEE THE RETURN TRAIN ALSO HAD THE SAME PROBLEM.
THE GREAT THING IS THAT THE REFUND GOT FROM THE DESTINATIONS DIFFER BY RS 84/HOW IS IT POSSIBLE, NO PROPER ANSWER?
WHO WILL PAY FOR THE INCONVENIENCE WE HAD IN THE TRAIN?

Dear sir,

I purchased three tier A/c tickets thru my credit card for 2618 Mangla Express under PNR No.[protected] for 5th May train i.e. at the time of travelling I kept the duplicate copy of my identity proof of Driving licence instead of original but one of the railway staff asked me to produce the original driving licence other wise he asked me to pay the Rs.7113/- extra for not keeping the original proof. Due to this I have paid Rs.7113/- in cash and got the receipt also. Secondly TTE told me that your eticket purchased payment of Rs. 4872/- you will get thru credit card only after submission of the original penalty payment paid receipt to railways.

After completion of vacation I submitted all the relevant documents i.e. etickets, original penalty amount remitted receipt etc to IRCTC Baroda office on June 4th, 2008 thru speed post and again forwarded the copy of documents twice to them for refund the payment of Rs.4872/- which I paid thru credit card but still I am not received any refund amount of Rs.4872/ from them.

You are requested to kindly look into this and do needful.

Due to error message in the your host computer system the booking was done twice for same family, same date and for same train ( Rajdhani Express 2951) Booking date 1-3-2007 and boarding on [protected]. The PNR nos for both the tickets are [protected](used ticket) and [protected](unused ticket) as per Mr. V. P. Indoria's letter dt [protected](Ref No. 2003/IRCTC/ERTD/Refunds/E-tickets) "The refund will be proceed by Zonal Railways". But till today I have not received any refunds (Rs.5305) as well as any correspendence

I have booked my ticket vide ticket no. [protected] & PNR no. 244.3032135 and train no. 9225 from Bathinda to Jammu for IInd Sleeper Class and the date of Journey was 14.10.2007 and the seat no. was 56 of S-3 but the train cancelled due to unaviodable circumstances and I had to return from Bathinda on the spot. When I approached the booking office for the cancellation of the ticket, it was closed. On 15.10.2007 the railway station master mansa refused to cancell my ticket rather he gave me Ticket Deposit Receipt 632618 of Rs. 222 and said he would send it to New Delhi and a cheque will be sent to you from Delhi after some time. But even after the passage of 7 months I have not received any single penny or cheque. Even I wrote two three letters regarding this to your Delhi Office but no result. Indian Railways About train compartments

I traveled in 3rd AC coach with my son who is only 3 yrs old from Nagercoil to Chennai in train no. 0612 Chennai Express (date - 11/11/2007). The 3rd AC coach was full of cockroaches and when the passengers enquired the TTE about this, there was no proper response. Most of the passengers spent a sleepless night that day owing to this problem. Moreover, the PEST TREATMENT was done only on 28/07/07 by a Madurai based Company called "PEST CONTROL INDIA (P) LTD", Tallakulam. When the pest treatment was done only on July of 2007, how could we find so much of cockroaches in November? This shows that the PEST CONTROL company has not done any pest treatment and, god only knows, whoever has got the money that has been allotted for this treatment!?!

Am one of the passenger travelling in Thirumalpur train, from Kanjipuram three groups of guys getting into the train from Walajabath to guiny, they travelling by foot boot, when the train starts from the station they starting to eve teasing the girls, if on the way they saw any girls means they shouting like "hoi" "hei" and also they showing their hands to that girls, and also they making whistle, this is one matter.
When train starts from Chengalpattu they doing this same job, this train won't stops other stations between Thambaram, so they shouting, showing hands when train reaches to platform, lot of passengers disappointed of these guys act, this is happening daily and also happening in this train only, one day I asked to them they said who r u to say this, I felt shame and seated quilt, if I saying lie means u can ask the passengers who all are travelling, u can ask to station masters also, please take any action of these guys, I already forwarded this letter to RPF, but no use no response and no other action, this is happening in this train only, all passengers are scolding that guys, if they did any minister or other higher officer daughter means police will take action know, kindly make any action of this issue, u know at that time that girls mentally upset, and also they are fearing, and also they are feeling bad, you are saying that eve teasing the girls is not prohibited, kindly make any action and give punishment to that guys..Please this letter is writing behalf of all passengers. Please sir write this matter on your paper and make them to take action.

This is concerning about misbehavior in Arakkonam Jn railway station ticket counter no 4, on 19 th feb 2009 at 11.05 pm (Night).

I was going to buy advance ticket for next day to chennai journey, due to heavy queue in morning i always brought ticket at one day before. when i back to home i ask the Up and Down ticket for Arakkonam Jn to Chennai Central was Rs 24 (EMU train) i gives Rs 30 to the respective counter no 4 ticket staff (that time the only counter will open at 11.05 pm on 19 feb) he said to me give Rs 4 as change, but that time i have no change, In behind they displayed Rs 5 coins and Rs 1 coins rows, i asked regarding no change from myself, he said then you come next day to brought a ticket! why they will interface my personal work to suggest to come on next day. i will argue with him, this is not to tell like to come tomorrow, i continued argue with him he suddenly said go out and collect from beggar, i am very heartbreaking about that word he said, I will leave that place without brought a ticket. Rest of night I am no sleep due to that word alleged on ticket counter staff.

Please take into the consideration for higher authorities in this issue, to make cruel action that will misbehavior the fellow passenger

He has been taking bribes from various sources assuring jobs in railways and airways. This bas been happening from the past so many years. Still the rascal has not been punished even a single time for his doings. Also he is a dealer gets loans from banks and sponseres for terrorism in entire chennai.

I traveled from Vishakapatnam to Chenni on 16th & 17th Jan by Madras Mail, train number 2819 in Second AC. My PNR nymber is [protected]. I forgot the one bag under berth 37 and the coatch was passed for cleaning. I went back to my residence and tryed to call and complain about my missing lagguage. Since I travelled on 2'nd AC there is no chances of steeling that lagguage by some one. I came back to the railway station at 12:00 PM and enquired about the missing bag. SM asked to contact station inspector. Station inspector told that he did not get any such missing reports and refused to take complaint. He asked me to lodge complain to police. I went to police station. They did not take complaint and took details from me and said that they'll coordinate with the Vizayawada SM and revert to me. Mr. Raj Gopal took details from me, he did not gave any complaint number nor he took written complaint from me. When I asked about his contact details he gave his office land line number as 044-[protected]. I think there is some fissy about my missing laguage. Since I traved in 2'nd AC there are no chances of lossing the laguage. The railways employee must have received the same and taken by some one. I feel that they dont want to enquire about that. Indian Railways plight of the indian railway

It is about a worst incident happened in reservation compartment while i was traveling From Trivandrum to Bangalore by Bangalore Express with my friends.

Three Passengers entered into the train from Trissur and they were creating nuisance to the co passengers . After some time the scene which we have seen was really shocking...
One among them (looks like a high class)was lying down on the floor in such a way that his one leg in one lower berth and other in the second lower berth .He had already passed urine in the next cabin thinking that as toilet and that too besides passengers luggage and sandals.

We girls really afraid and was about to inform this to TTR.But strange thing is No TTR was there in any of the sleeper coaches and he was sitting in AC.Somehow we informed this to TTR.He told police will enter from Coimbatore police station and will take care of this.But sad to say nothing happened.About 5 Police men came but they haven't done anything .They told us to wait till Erode and raise complaint there.We strongly told them to get a solution for us and we cannot sit like this till Erode.But they didn't hear anything and get out of the moving train.

We totally were in fully desperate condition.After that some co passengers really helped us.One old man came into action.He ordered all the three to get out from there and also told TTR to keep their ticket. Thus the situation was under control..

All this is to say that the Railway authority (Railway police & TTR's)is totally irresponsible.

Railway Authorities will not be there if we are in some critical condition inside train...

The railway authorities did not issue the MST to me.To add to my problems they did not even tell me as in when they can do the same.I have to commute daily from ghaziabad to ITO, and being a woman u can imagine how tough it can be, without a MSt.I don't Understand that when i am paying and asking them repeatedly then why are the concerned officials not doing what they are paid for.Mr Lalu Prasad or Ms Mamta, i don't expect them to look into this, all i want is that everyone knows that world's largest railway network is also world's worst one.

Today 13.11.2008 I was travelling from Delhi to Mathura on 1058 Dadar express.I was sitting in the reservation compartment as I was having MST.

Near Kosi Kalan (UP) 4 railway reserve police official has entered in the compartment & started checking the persons which don't have reservartin tickets.In front of everybody they have snatched the money from the pockets of passenger who don't have the reseravtion tickets without T.T of Railway.

This is our Govt who have deployed them for our help or snatching money from our pockets.Our Sr official & Mr Laluparshad Yadav should ashamed by this act.

Sorry to say our" Bharat is Mahan"

Sir,

I am a daily commuter from Bharuch to Anand by many trains. Mostly in the morning by Gujarat Express. It is very pity to say that some of your employees are traveling in the first class with their relatives and friends daily. One man who is traveling with his lover every day in the first class without even a ticket or pass when checking the railway staff they will simply tell that staff.

Most of the time all the seats of First class are occupied by RPF Staff and Class IV employees and their relatives. No action is taking by the checking staff. On 25th while traveling in Jamnagar intercity from Bharuch to Anand there was no space even for standing in the train. In Baroda some passengers have get down and I have occupied along with my co-passenger the seat no.13 and 14, after some time the conductor of the coach has brought two persons and asked me to vacate the seats we have vacated the seats and the squad was checking the tickets these two personals who have seated at 13 and fourteen have either ticket or rail pass. This kind of action is doing by your staff to be stopped immediately. Can railway staff make up/down and leave the Head quarter without permission? If not so how they are making updown daily from their residence to workplace.i.e from ahmedabad to vadodara.

There was two First Coaches in Sourashtra Express now the same is reduced to one why?. This cause very inconvenience to daily First Class Passengers and season ticket Holders. The One First Class Coach reduced should be replaced with immediate effect.

Really Unfortunate. The ailing Staffs dont deserve to get salries as they are getting salary out of the ticket of the concerned passenger. Indian railway should immediately enquire who were the person negligent in acting and should be punished.

My self was travelling in IInd AC from Indore to Vadodara on 18-12-2007 by Train no. 9310 Indore Gnc Express.
I have reserved ticket under PNR no. [protected].

During the travelling in the train it was found that AC of the train is not working properly more over lot of cockroachs were found in the compartment.

Due to non performance of AC a huge suffocation was felt throughout the night, more over the cockroach byting was another problem was felt.

The matter was so serious that not only I few of the compartment mate could not sleep through out the night.
It is requestedto the higher authorties that please check the problem and since the travelling was horrible please return the excess fare taken for AC as compared to the SLeeper class.

It is really sad that one of the largest employers in the whole world has such scant regard to the people who made this organization called the INDIAN RAILWAYS the largest organization.

I fully endorse the views expressed by the person and such anti social elements be strictly punished to set an example in future.
I find the TTR equally responsible in the act. Considering the fact that there a lot of women travelers in these trains and most of them would be traveling alone, this scenario is really scary.The lady showed the conviction to act against the accused but there may be a lot of instances when there are silent sufferers.

I request the authorities if listening to take some fruitful steps so that the sagging image of the railways is once again resurrected.

Indian Railways misbehavior of ticket checker

On the dated 06.10.2007,

While I rarely travel in Sleeper class or general class but unfortunately due to some urgency traveled by Train "Mumbai to Jaipur" . I started from Mumbai and destination was Bharuch so taken ticket of Superfast train from Mumbai to Bharuch. I have passed through two humiliating situation. First, I enter in the copartment in que and at the gate RPF/GRP police standing to ensure that first come get seat first but inside the train Gunda types of people standing front of every cabin to charge Rs 20-40 from each passenger, these people protected by police.

2nd and most humiliating is coming of second dacoit as ticket checker, he has asked me to show the ticket when I given him my ticket he asked me Rs 400/- . Then I asked him to show me your book that how this much penalty calculated, he denied to show and when I asked his name he pushed me outside because nobody was asked him. I never intended to deny for penalty but my right to have the information for which I am paying. Because of Govt. giving commission on collection make the ticket checker robber.

I would like to submit the following few lines for your kind information and necessary action.
I reserved my train ticket for 2 AC on 10/04.2008 from Hubli to Chennai for the day of 17/04.2008. For VSG chennai Express for me and my wife(52) . But on the day one ticket for me was conformed and for my wife was not conformed and it was RLWL/1. The ticket issued counter I was advised it is easily available on that day don"t worry.If not on the train the TTE will issue any seat/ some other mode.On the day in the train the TTE (Conductor) came, I asked the conductor to issue me any seat or some other class.But he write in my ticket one is conformed and other WL/1. I know that.He told me wait .I was waiting a long time he come to me and murmur and he said " can't do any thing any way you travel your own risk, and gone away not allot me any seat /berth/sleeper class.I was travel in the path way near lavatory, with one berth my wife got she travelled in the side upper berth.She was aged 52 .she also got incovenient to climp in the top to travel.In the night travel I was suffered with out sleeping and inconvenient.My journey was regretable.
Kindly, take necessary action on that and atleast refund my money accordingly.

Indian Railways change of train route

Train 2321/2322 has its route changed and 2357/2358 following which the passengers of grand chord route are facing serious problems whole gong to mumbai and coming back because it is the only train for the above said place catering to millions of passengers. It is not understood that on what grounds has the ministry of railways taken a drastic decision affecting many. Do the concerned really care for the common people whose voices are not heard?

Indian Railways no ticket even after payment!

I tried to book the railway ticket from internet from chennai to delhi on 30th sep. After payment I got a message "your session has been expired". And the amount of the ticket has already been transfered from my account.

My self I am Sriram aged around 37 years and I am 6” 1’heght.What I am expressed my agony that when i was traveling from Ongole to Bangalore in Seshadri express i feel the travel is as hell in a situation that I was allotted SIDE UPPER BEARTH on 17-10-2009 the upper fan was hit my head and the pain was un bearable finally I understood that The railway authorities are failed to reinstate the seats in correct position of SIDE BEARTHS which were dislocated to provide 3 seats while seating arrangements

i encountered a severe misbehavior during the process of getting reservation for my father in a train. my father had to travel from bilaspur to nagpur and then from there to hyderabad in consecutive time period.the clerk sitting at the reservation counter got us the reservation from bilaspur to nagpur and told us that there was 'no room' in the train in which the reservation had to be done from nagpur to hyderabad. he took the whole amount for the journey but didnt get us the reservation for the next train that we specified.my first reaction was a suprise as i had already checked the availability of seats in the specified train.i told informed him about the same. he very rudely replied and denied to check it again. he was not at all ready to listen to us and just started shouting on us. i was dissappointed as i had already wasted my 45 minutes time standing in the queue and my inconvinience was but obvious. i along with my sister went to the enquiry counter as it was next to impossible for me to believe that all seats in a train could get reserved in 1 hour duration. in the enquiry counter the clerk as expected told us that seats are available in the train. so i told him about what all happened with us in the previous counter. a lady clerk who was watching us since last hour called us to the next counter and got our seat reserved.

i am issue waitlist tickets from the irctc internet eticket
but ticket is not confirm & ticket checher say you are without tickets & you pay ticket charge + penalty
& say eticket automatic cancel & credit refund in your account
so please valid waitlist etickets or cancel eticket so refund full print amount ( no deduct any chargers )
& sir tatkal tickets booking not 5 days not 2 days but dest option is book 3 days
& 9017 saurashtra janata tatkal quota seat increase present 33 seats tatkal quota (best option is 72 seat)

Hi,
Recently i purchased ATVM card and used it for 3 months.
After some time the card could not be read my the ATVM machine. So i asked the issuing person to replace it. He promplty agreed to do it but also charged my 10 rs saying that the card is maintained by CMC.

Why should customer pay for something that is defective and which should ideally be replaced by the vendor? Is this the way of looting public and making railways profitable?

Sir, I have a doubt. Pl. clarify. If more than one passenger books a single ticket to a particular destination, and if any one of them alight one station before the destination, can he take a photocopy of the ticket and show at the gate. If so, whether any attestation is required in the xerox copy of the ticket. Kindly clarify.

Indian Railways officials corruption

I went to the Sarojini Nagar railway reservation counter on the 18th of April to get a ticket for Pune from New Delhi for the 20th of April. Before leaving, I made sure from the Indian Railways website that there were three tickets left in the tatkal quota on Jhelum Express. But when my turn came, the person sitting at the counter told me that there was no ticket available on tatkal on that specified date and train. When I insisted, he said he would help out but I would have to give him a bribe of Rs. 100.

Since it was vital for me to get a ticket for the 20th and also because I didn't have the time to pick up a fight, I was forced to pay him of Rs. 100.

So apart from the service charge of Rs. 300 for a 3rd AC ticket, I also had to pay an "extra service charge" to this railway official!

I have heard complaints in the past about such demands for money made by officials at the Sarojini Nagar counter. Railway Minister Lalu Prasad who by all accounts is trying hard to provide world-class services to the passengers should also take note of such instances of corruption and impose strict punishments for such officials.

The PNG (Panipat / New Delhi / Ghaziabad) mail is a regular train from its source to destination. The problem is that there is only one ladies compartment in the train. We all know that there is a huge no. of people travelling through this train, as a result of which it becomes very difficult for us to commute in such a suffocated train. Few days back, a child had died because of the rush in the train. It is extremely pathetic that after so many complaints nothing has been done to take care of this problem.

Sir,
Today I went to book 8 tickets for my family from Kota to Ernakulam.
I reached the dakaniya talav reservation counter jst before 6 AM. But, I am surprised to see that many touts were present before me and that were having a large number of bookings. When the reservation counter opened the touts were first to book tickets and they were having a bulk no of tickets to book and I can do nothing but to wait for my turn.
When I check the seat availability their were 88 tickets available for 3rd ac in Marusagar exp.
After all my number came and the person sitting at the booking counter said that you will get this ticket in waiting or you pay me rs100 per ticket and I'll give you confirm.
I could do nothing but to give him a bribe of rs800 as I'd no other option.

Now, my question is that why the railway officials are not taking any action to penalize booking touts and also why I've to give a bribe of rs.800 when the seats were available.

I had been trying to book Tatkal e-tickets for my journey to kolkata from NJP. Everyday from early morning the irctc site works fine till 0759 hrs. As soon as the clock hits 0800 hrs, the site stops responding for about 30 mins and by that time, all the tickets get exausted. Being an engineer I understand that the site is deliberately jammed as other sites are accessable. I have also lodged the complaint in the irctc call centre but nothing has changed. I have also noticed that during the tenure of previous rail ministry, this problem was not severe as I have travelled in Tatkal quota in numerous occassion, but during this ministry, this problem has become giant. It is unfortunate that common citizens are deprived to facilities and everyting is controlled by the touts.
Wake up Railway minister, its high time that you address these issues instead of fighting in Bengal!

Dear Sirs,

Last 5 days I am trying to get sleeper ticket on Netravati express, 6345, morning 7 O'clock to I am ready to book takal ticket, upto 8 O'clock everything is normal, 8 O'clock when enter for ticket, the computer is saying "Sorry you can book e ticket only after 8 hrs.
same message is continuing upto 8:20, what is this ? who is responsiblity for this type of error purposely showing the internet for helping the Agents. Last week I had gone to ticket from CST counter. morethan 500 people was their in the que, but 90% people was Agents and their steppinies, joke is this agents 90% from U.P. before 7:45 they starting their drama, The RPF Police their own people, they may get good bribe. You can sent someone for see this drama, This Agents and Police how close. poor public will not allowed inside before 8:15am. What is going in CST? Who will take responsibility for this type manupulation? Total CST Officials only supporting the Agent. What is duty of DRM? Everybody want money? I had seen many time RPF is collect haffa from periwala (footpath business people) Even anybody can see this people doing their business in the compund also. No public is reacting?

hello,

how is that always when we go at the counter to book the tickets there is no berth avaliable, but when we go throught he
agents they are able to give tickets which ever days and whcih ever class without any duficult and with extra charges.
i have a strong feeling that the entire ticket booking controled by the agent, and at thimes when we get into the train we find there are enough berth avaliable...

This is Sunny Kumar Guliyani as i am totly disappointed with the railways reservtion centre. When i visited over the railwayreservation centre at H Nizamuddin to book ticket of my sister husband he is in the Indian Navy and he has pass from Indian Navy From Delhi to Baliya and i visited over there to book the ticket from New Delhi to Banras the executive sitting over there name Mr Bhardawaj told me that he is not going to book my ticket i am taking the tocket till banars and the Pass is till Baliya Since the Banaras is before the Baliya he deny to book my ticket and misbehaved with me and using voulgar langaugae with then i met his chef over she told me take in wrtiiren from the Mr Bhardawaj when i agian ask for ticket and therating me if i will come again he will beat me. Then i again me his cheif and told the same thing instead of taking the action she told that you can go into the counther i will see him from back then i again ask him same thing his happen his cheif told him that wht is the problem why you denying to book the he replied that mam nothing that he is giving me the wrtiien about any he want the ticket till Banars instead of Baliya and not ready to give me how much Kilometre is Baliya from Banaras and his cheif exective told him that book the ticket but did not take any strickt action against him. So i am very disappointing with this happing. not even i saw he is taking the Bribe from other to make the confim ticket.

My problem is regarding the improper behaviour of the ticket checker at the BHOPAL RAILWAY Station.. My momma and daddy was passing thru the station. They were travelling by Rajendranagar-indore express from Patna to Indore. However, by mistake they told me that the train will arrive at about 10:30 am. So, i was getting ready for that particular time. But when i call them at 9.00 they told me that it's about to reach the station.

so, i just hurried up and reached the platform. At the time when i call them, i was at home so i have had to hurried otherwise i was going to miss the train. So, without taking the platform ticket i entered the station. when i was returning from the station, TTE asked me about the ticket and told him that i don't have.. I told him all the circumstances and then he started shouting at me. I told him that if u want i can now get u the Platform ticket, but he didn't agree with me and escorted me to his mates where many of them were present. All of them started humiliating me..
so, according to me it was not justified. Sometimes u should see what are the circumstances of the person as a/c to me Sometimes CIRCUMSTANCES ARE MORE PATHETIC THAN RULES..that's it. I think railway should have to work upon this.

I have two problems 1st is

1) About side middle birth Railway added this birth but don't think about people incontinence in setting and caring there ledges if there are already two person in side birth and they have 2 or 3 bags then 3rd person where keep there bag(s) and this condition create irritation. Last month I was traveling to durg from muzffarnagar I had faced this problem because there were already bag(s) so I had to keep my bag parallel to my birth this also create problem to the people who goes to one coach to another other wise Railway strictly follow the rule to carry ledge in limit because people carry number of bag(s) or there must be a separate place to keep passenger(s) Bag(s) so that there won't be any problem.

2) Travelling by rajdhani (Bilaspur to New Delhi 2441) yesterday the coach was very-very bad it was like general coach after sleeping on the same i am having back pen. there no water was there in coach after bhopal.AC was also not working after so many complain it get rectified this is very bad condition for rajdhani so please do the needful for the same.

Dear sir

This is to inform you that i regularly travel in DANAPUR TATA( 8184 )EXPRESS and i find that its such a long route train starts from patna and ends at tata i mean over 13 hours it takes to reach final destination but the train has no pantry which makes it very difficult for the passenger to eat.i request.

secondly i would like to draw your attention to the pathetic condition of the railway station of tatanagar in jharkhand which is one the industrial city of india but its only cleaned when any minister is coming or any visit of higher ofiicial is planed also it requires a facelift in the form of new consturction, painiting, seats etal. i request you to kindly look into the matter.

Indian Railways train schedule

Hi,

This is related to train schedule. previously train between pune to ahmedabad called "ahinsa express" was running on friday from pune and on sunday from ahmedabad. now, from 1st dec 2006 onwards, train schedule is changed which affects lots of students and employees working in pune who sufferers a lots for the same. now, on week end, if they which to go to gujarat and want to come back on monday morning, they must have to use private bus.

Thats the request from every student and employee of gujarat.

Hi. My name is Nisha Shah. I work at an online marketing agency at Santacruz. A shocking incident happened with me last Friday on 13th November 2009. I usually travel by the harbour line from Khar to Kings Circle everday back home from work. I don't have a fixed train time but take any ST train.

I got a little late from work that day. I boarded a 7.56 PM CST train from Khar station. I have a I st class pass. 8' o clock is not really late and there is a good enough crowd in the trains. Ladies I class compartments are a little empty compared to II nd class. I got a seat and settled down with all my stuff- my purse on my lap, mobile phone in my hand and my gym and tiffin bags at the side.

It was a routine trip, some more ladies/ girls boarded from Bandra. The comparment was almost full now with only two seats left next to me. Everyone was indulged into different activities – someone was reading a book, the other was on her cell chatting with someone, one was listening songs on her Ipod and so on and I was there sitting calmly as I was really tired after a hectic work day.

The train was moving towards the next station (Mahim) and suddenly it halted in between Bandra & Mahim at the creek (Bandra Khaadi as most people call it). Many a times, the harbour line trains halt there for a signal. It was pitch dark outside.

Suddenly, I heard noises “ Chor Chor” coming from outside and seemed like coming from a distance. It was a male voice. But then somehow I was tired and didn't bother to check whats happening outside. None of the other females also got up from their seat.

The girl sitting on the opposite row was peeping outside the window out of the curiousity to check where the noise came from and I was just looking at her. Well, I was seated in a way that my back faced the doorside. Suddenly I see a dark hand approaching towards my left hand and when I look up I see a tall, healthy and dark man. I don't remember his face at all now though. I got really scared and I started screaming. Immediately and simultaneously, the females sitting on the opposite row who noticed the man started shouting “chor chor”. The men in the I st class came to the Jaali in there to check why so much noise from the Ladies comparment.

This man came in and smartly in front of everybody flicked the phone from my hand and jumped out of the train. The minute he jumped, the train started.

Everything seemed to be so well planned. The “Chor Chor” was so intentional in an attempt to get someone come at the door or to distract attention. The man came inside the compartment just few seconds before the train started so that he could easily jump and no one would want to get down at that khaadi.

It took me few seconds to realise what happened to me and that my cell phone got flicked in such a fashion. Everyone around became hyper. A female called the police helpline. Another helped me to block my number as I had a post paid connection. Some started shouting that there should be a Police inside the compartment. Some got scared.

I got off at Kings Circle and went to the Railway Police there. They did not even write a complaint as the accident happened before Mahim, so I had to report this to Bandra Police Station. Just imagine, when I was entering into the railway police station, there was this man who had just lost his 10 gm chain in the same train and was there to lodge a complaint.

My sister was trying to reach me and she called on my cellphone. The worst part is that a guy actually picks up my phone. My sis heard a bunch of guys giggling and laughing. She became suspicious and she asked who it is and where are they speaking from. The robbers 9there were moe than 2 people) tells her that we have stolen the phone and speaks to her in an abusive manner. My father in law also called on my number and they spoke to him as well in an ill mannered way. Only after my father in law behaved as if he was a Police and calling from a Polcie station, they hung up. What GUTS!

The next day, I went to the Bandra Police station and filed an FIR. I also lodged a complaint at the Bandra Railway Station.The authorities there were very co-operative, however, they had a very pessimistic attitude. They kept telling me such complaints keep coming and that no one is paying heed. They have complained to senior officials as well but no serious action has been taken so far. They also told me that recently in february they lost one of their constables at the same place as he was trying to catch the thieves and he was killed.

It's been a week now and so far I haven't heard from the Police or the Railway Station.
I don't have any hopes to get my phone back. But my major concern is the safety and next steps.

These thefts are very regular especially at the Bandra Mahim creek where the train halts and especially the harbour line is at risk as it's the first track close to the Khaadi. Thefts are also a common scene in Mumbai, but the way it happened at a peak time was shocking. What if the guy had a knife or banged my head. All I want to convey to the Railway authorities is that when you are aware that this patch is risky, why hasn't any action been taken so far. If you can't catch the goons, atleast have some safety meausures there.

1.The area is pitch dark. You won' t even realise if someone is standing there or hiding there. Put some big flood lights there so that atleast you can know if someones there. The first half of the creek is a little better thanks to all the lights that come because of the huge hoardings. Nothing that the railways guys have done.
2.Put up fencing especially with glass on top in a way that no one can enter into a train like this and jump back.
3.Lastly, have a police official especially in Ladies compartments especially for late trains. This only happens for few days when any such incident is bloaten up by the Media.

As next steps, my plan is to meet the PRO for railways who sits at the Churchgate station building. I don't want my phone back. All I want is some preventive measures to be taken to avoid such incidents to happen again in future and specially at the Bandra- Mahim creek. We talk about Mumbai being a safe place, where is the safety?

Why aren't railway authorites doing anything? Even the Bandra station master tells me that they are aware such incidents happen and that there are dopers, drug addicts and thieves especially coming from the slums behind who have been behind all this, but there is nothing much that has been done. In fact, he was surpisesd that I had come in to file a complaint as mostly people never take any action. They think it's a waste of time.

All girls and guys who travel by train, please BEWARE of such tricks especially at the Bandra – Mahim creek. Avoid standing at the door. And if you are unlucky like me, it might even happen if you are actually sitting inside. I am still surprised how did he figure out I was holding a phone in my left hand. Someone might try and distract you but don't pay attention

It's been a week now but each time my train passes from that creek, I pray to God that please don't have any halt today. My heart literally stops for a second and I hold my bag tight out of the fear that someone will just come in and snatch it as well. It was indeed a Friday, the 13th for me and I will always remember this really bad incident for life.

This is related to 2RJ/3JS Jharsuguda sambalpur DMU Passenger running between Jharsuguda and Sambalpur and 4JS Sambalpur Jharsuguda DMU passenger. The distance between both the stations is only 49 Kms and travel time is 1hr 05 minutes but the train departs 1.00 hr late every day from Jharsuguda which is its originating Station and accumulates late on the way too. Consequentially it also departs sambalpur at an unknown time basing on the late, with almost no passengers due to its unscheduled departure time causing loss to public money. It is unfortunate in which route buses runs overloaded trains runs on loss. Will the Railway ministry will look into the matter and take steps to check the loss of hundreds of man hour loss of students and employees using this train?

I was on delhi station to travel from delhi to aurangabad against above ticket. at delhi station train is on plat form no.9. on this plat form indicator shown bogi position s-12 to s-01 from engine but when train came 5 min. late on plate form at that time position of bogi is vise-versa (s-01 to s-12 from engine). so many people rush on plate form to catch there bogi. why this indicators shown wrongs position of bogi?

Indian Railways overloaded trains

124 up valsad fast passenger train as we all know is the lifeline for the people staying beyond virar as we dont have the local available yet. Along with the passengers, a lot of workers and students also travel in this train. A lot of people from this train have andheri station as their destination, but as the train does not have a halt at andheri they have to getdown at borivali and board the slow locals. Specially the students are suffering a lot as they have to board the fully packed train from borivali. So wont it be logical if we give 124 valsad fast passenger a halt at andheri, which is just another station on its way to mumbai central. In this way a lot of people will be benefited and at the same time a lot of load from the mumbai locals will be reduced.

Indian Railways threatening passengers

I am a passenger having a wait listedticket traveling, from yesvantpur-vishakapatnam, on 26th june 07. it was a serious issue likely to keep in front of officers of the indian railway (happening in that train). the people involved in this case are - all the bed roll staff in 2 tier a/c coach.

Their job is to stand and identify the people who are looking for confirmation of tickets (at any station), then they approach you individually asking for 500/- for providing a reserved seat (I don't know how can they do that).

I having a pqwl 1 ticket has got confirmed latter at kr puram, till then tte advised me not to enter into the ac coach. I waited up to 1 hr and then approached tte (in the mean while these bed roll staff were troubling me by saying they will conform, if you pay 500/-).

Due to some canceled tickets, tte has alloted me the berth in the coach. these bed roll staff came again for the 5th time near me and asking for 500/- otherwise they threatened me that they will cancel my confirmation on complaining to tte. similarly they troubled other waitlisted passengers and took money 500/-).

If we leave these issues like this - soon the indian railway will become stale-the image will get fade in the eyes of the travelers.

The lady passenger sitting in front of me had paid money 500/- for no reason. these people are threating women and fellow travelers. why such things are happening? who are these people indulge is such activities, who are the officers are responsible to take action on these trouble makers?

I am also sending this letter to tv9 and other media.

I came to Chennai central by Coromandel express train no:12841 on 8, 1, 2012.
My ticket PNR NO: [protected].
I am a senior citizen.
An railway official by name of Mr A.Chinappan ( HTE OMS B MAS ) approached me and asked for
travelling ticket, which I duly produced. He asked for age and ID proof. As the passport which I was
carrying was in one of the suitcase, I requested him to let me go as it was too difficult to open a packed
suitcase. He was adamant to see and instead of requesting, he started abusing my son who had come
to pick me. He used very abusive, slang language in tamil and his talk was nothing to do with
original matter. He cursed that all muslims are liars and they should be put in jail.

I got angry on hearing this remark and tried to intervene, but he pushed me at the shoulder by
his official leather bag. He was so rude, so shameless and much religiously biased.

He took all my luggauge to the weighment counter and fined for excess luggauge which
I readily paid by Excess Fare Ticket No: AE 0190495 dated 8.1.2012.
At first he took money but refused to give receipt, saying that receipt will be given tomorrow as it has
to be signed by his senior.

This was the limit, I demanded his ID card and insisted on receipt, . After much grumbling and cursing he tore
away the receipt and handed over to me.

I have lodged this complaint Deputy Station Manager Southern Railway Chennai Central ( Receipt no: 372688
dated 8.1.2012).

Please take serious action against Mr A Chinappan.
An written appology must be given by him.

I am living in Mumbai and holding monthly season ticket from CST to THANE and MANKHURD daily I have to get down and catch train at CSTM. some time I use to go to Mankhurd and I use platform no.1 where your ticket cheking staff having office and I saw there lot of people brought as without ticket traveller. Are you sure that your staff is doing right becouse they all are innocent tresspasser what is your Vigilance Department doing. Under your nose 6 to 7 TC's group making money and you are sleeping in AC cabin shame?!

Complaints in written must be lodged.If complain book is not been provided
by the authority whether in running train or off the train one should send there complain through registered post and keep track on it.If these people did not listen then send a RTI application and asked for status.Complain is a tool that keeps these corrupt people under check. Fight for the right.You pay for it and the railway is bound to provide service. I appreciate the efforts of passengers who complain it is not the matter of his or her but the whole community gets benefit.
Do not argue or get short temper, just ask for complain book and lodged a complain with witness or without it.

Sir,
I had booked my motor cycle to be despatched fron Nasik road station to Faridabad station on 10th of April. The Receipt No. is B120299 dated 10/04/2008. But it has not reached its destination till date. I enquired at Faridabad railway station parcel deptt. several times for last 12 days. They are indifferent towards the arrival of the parcel. When I asked about the where-about of my motorcycle they are just telling to search at New Delhi Railway Station. I went to New Delhi Railway station and they said to search at old Delhi Railway station. Is it my duty to search the motor cycle like this after paying railway the transportation charges? I am in a fix what to do now . I am a student at Management development Institute, Gurgaon and Faridabad is very far from this place and there is no system of communication through telephone from out side to the parcel offfice. Please help me out .

i want to told you that i am living in the city bhatapara which is 45 away from bilaspur and 64 km away from raipur
the state capital. i want to inform you that in the booking office it is opened for 8 hours daily in these eight hours 6 to 7 hours the booking office officers are active with the person which are included in the black marketing of ticket (say dalal) and it is open only one to two hours for the common person. for writing the complain against these i first go to station master to obtain complain book but he did not provide me he told me that contact bilaspur gm office for these and told me to talk on the number [protected] but when i call on this number he told me that do not disturb me call on raipur for these matter.

Indian Railways problem with the train!

I am living in Vrindavan Distt. Mathura, State- Uttar Pradesh, from here only one train is for Mathura this is only 15 km railway route only one train goes from here that is rail bus. That train will go 5 time in a day. But from last 2 years there is a problem in that rail bus. It stops for 15 days due to technical problem. But no technical problem in this train only officers are doing like this because they don't want to run this. And they are showing this track in loss and telling if loss remain this train will we off.

I was travelling by 2323HWH NDLS Expres on 20/12/08, which came late 2-3 hrs late at kanpur.which may be normal to you, because i think u donot boughter about customer satifaction, moreover i am on doubt any result will be there after my complain.
Most astonishing is that there was no sitting plan proper, you add third seat on side birth, no proper seat no.things become more worsened when there was no TTE.Finally after three hours i could find out two man wearing black jacket in AC 2 gossiping .Mr sudhansu kumar &Mr KD Aggarwal came after some time and told that only 2 man is for hole train .so it is not possible to attend hole train and they remain thund.This is the attitude of ur men.i think most of the people are not satisfied the service u provide.
When i asked why u have so late, they replied local people like Rura side they are still on board and they all are travelling without ticket, so it is the best way to avoid confrontation.
Although train suppose to go direct Delhi but number of station chain pulling make the halt several places.there was no police in the train to control the same .This is the way u want to maintain?Sad very sad.

Reaspected Sir,

I want to pass this comment to indian railway govt. that now these days the shedule of the local trains and the schedule of the Expresses is disturbed due to the fault of the all station masters.

The train comes on the plateform after 10 minutes before its announcment.

Here, I am talking about the disturbed schedule of the trains between Delhi and Palwal. Some time it is found that the all job employees get trouble during the return from the job.

Dear Sir, as a citizen of this country I wrote all this, because the train schedule has become a serious problem in these days.
Some time the passangers abuses to the Indian Railway Govt.

So, please issue the notice to the all station masters about this problem& take a possessive action to stop all this activities

Sir,
I travel frequently by Visakhapatnam-Hyderabad Godavari Exp. Recently the railways introduced additional bearth in between side upper and side lower which is now named side middle. It is of great inconvinience to the passengers travelling by the train. Four people need to adjust in one seat in daytime. Also the adjustment of luggage in the space under the seat is becoming difficult ( ten passengers in case of RAC in one coupe). Even as the passengers are expressing inconvinience, the railway officials are in no mood to pay attentions to passengers grievances. In the process of increasing one bearth per coupe the railways did not make modifications to their online software. Passengers are alloted bearths as if there is no Side middle bearth. The person with a specific bearth location ( ie Middle) might have to sit somewhere else ( for example Side Upper). Also the bearth numbers that were alloted at the time of booking are changed in the chart causing a lot of inconvinience to the passenger. But no railway officials have seem to be concerned with that.

Sir,
i was supposed to travel on 01.04.2008 to vellore for medical treatment of my mother, who is a disabled person and requireds minimum facilities specific for the patients requiring wheel chair. she cant move by herself. but to my surprise i found no any disabled compartment HOWRAH-YASHNTPUR (train no 2863) express(leaving Howrah). i was taking my mother to cmc hospital at vellore. but to my despire i had no other alternative but to cancell the trip for a medical treatment. i also gather information this unavailability of this disabled compartment is very common and happens in other trains also. i request to your honour since indian railway has provisions, it should be made available for those who are in dire need of it.

Indian Railways delay of the train

I booked ticket for travel from gorakhpur to kanpur by train no. 1123 for 29.06.2007. my pnr no. was [protected]. the arrival time of train was 00.10 hrs at gorakhpur. the train arrived at 07.30 hrs at goraphpur in trun it reaches to kanpur at 4.45 pm. due to this I could not attend the office on that day.

There is no email id where I can lodge the complain. due to this much delay the indian railway should reduce the fare by 50% at least & refund the remaining amount to passenger.

My Self Shrinivas Mahendrakar.i want to inform about one problem, while my jounery from Gulbarga to Solapur with Train Hussan Sagar Exp

On Gulbarga Station for getting a normal 3 class ticket for Hussan Sager Exp(Train no 2702) on 03/05/2008 I had Straggled for 45 Min at station ticket counter, with more 50 people five ticket giving counter, ( ladies, Man & senior citizen all in the all 5 Q)

For this I want for asking complement book at your Dy.Station Manager, after 30 min getting every officer I the got that Book. and written it, I have copy of it (.it seems getting you suggestion /Complaint book also we need your Station Master permission)

This not stopped here it self.. One person who say him “Special Scrod ( I am sure about he not TT, )” he was watching this thing, And while my Journey he came to me( Fully Drunken with alcohol) at 3 Class abused me and fined me for Rs 325, , I don’t know why he done so (he was Drunken fully that time I have not arrgived with him more) the Receipt No:J406431And my TICKET number is [protected]

Did this Drunken Special Scrod belong to India Railway?

Can please some one Clarify this why he as taken this money?

I have all doc with me, TICKET, Complaint copy, Fined receipt if you needed ..

Subject : Eratic Suburban Train services

I am a resident of Virar (Mumbai suburb).Ever since we were promised of starting a regular train service on the newly laid lines between Borivli-Virar, the same seems to have been forgotten by Western Railway.

The WR authorities lied us that new rakes would be coming by September 07 end, but till now nothing is in site and people have to travel like animals. Shame on you Western Railway !. Central Railway's service is far much better than yours. I never come across any complaints from people residing in CR that their service collapsed, etc etc. A straight line from Church gate to Virar cannot be properly managed by you.

We are fed up of your service and people here have demanded extension of BEST bus services (Borivli to Virar). WR trains neither arrive in time nor there is any system left.

WRs name should appear in Guinness Book of World for providing late, erratic service to its consumers.

I boarded 2802 Express in NDelhi Station on 16.4.07 for Kharagpur on New Delhi Puri, Purushottam Express. There were more than 100 passengers in a compartment meant for 72. Indian Railways violation of trust by mysore railway employees

Nature of problem: violation of trust from mysore station master and other railway employees.

I have reserved 4 tickets to travel from mysore to chennai on 28th jan 2007 in satabthi express. 4 tickets includes me, my pregnant wife and my cousin and his wife.

Unfortunately railways decided to start the satabthi express from bangalore instead of from mysore due to time delay. the commitment from mysore station master and other higher officials given to all the satabthi passengers was " railways will be organizing 3 bus to pick up all the satabthi passengers from mysore to bangalore along with one railway representative in each bus. and satabthi express will start at bangalore if only all the passengers in the 3 buses reach the bangalore station and train.

Including me there where 10 people was on the 3rd bus to reach satabthi express at bangalore. shocking news was that satabthi has left bangalore station before we reach there. with the frustrated discussion with railway employees on bangalore station, the railway representative from mysore station has escaped without our knowledge leaving us alone. railway employees in bangalore station are not ready to help us as these decisions are made by mysore station and they also confirmed that they cannot allot us any seat in next forthcoming trains to chennai as all the seats are full. some how we reached mysore railway officials over phone, again they committed us to make alternative arrangement and asked us to wait in bangalore station. I waited with my pregnant wife in bangalore station for hours and hours result the mysore railway officials went to there home for weekend celebrations. this is completely a violation of trust my mysore railway employees to the indian railway customers / citizens.

My pregnant wife suffered lot by getting in the chennai express at late hours 23.00 in bangalore in unreserved compartment.

The liluah footbridge has been badly distructed and needs urgent rennovation, the stairs of footbridge seem fragile ...as, it is form of daily communication of many passengers like me and parents...it is necessary that it must be rennovated soon to avoid any unwanted circumstances...

At the time of payment Amount is deducted from account but ticket not booked.

kindly refund deducted amount as soon as possible.

At present the Qtrs no 385k TBM chennai divn...in which I am dwelling is very poor in condition, during rainy season the rain water pours through the roof and enter all the rooms casuing damage to electrical wires, switches and other house hold articles...

for your information we all have experienced many a times Electric Shock more over the roof is withering and it may crack and fall at any moment, which may cause serious injury to us. i have attach d photos of d condition

Pls.i request the railway authorities to look into this issue... i have many more compliant to IOW / TBM.. but no responce thre..

Here in my flats Mr. G. Ravi Varman is living. He is a Railway Government Employee. He got transfer from Hyderabad to Vijayawada in same Railway Department. But he didnot go to Vijayawada by telling a lie that he is suffering from Severe Back Pain. ok. Thats all right. But he is telling to all neighbours that he is making fools all railway government employees. He is doing wrong by avoiding his work moreover he is making you fools by telling lies besides that he is telling all railway government employees are fools like that. one thing i must tell with confidance that is he is not suffering from back pain because he recently shifted his house from our flats to another area. He him self shifted all his bag and baggage to new house. From this scene it is avidant that he is not having any back pain. so please take my complaint as a advice to your department and take proper action on Mr. G. Ravi Varman to avoid people to make you fool.

This is to the notice of southern railway department, that the
train charminar exp running from chennai to hyderabad & from
hyderabad to chennai always runs 3 to 4 hr late, resulting in
hytek travel for the passengers. This Friday (30/05/2008) charminar exp took at 7.03pm from Secunderabad and reached
chennai around 11.30am in the morning that almost 3& half hour late. Its schedule time of arrival in chennai is 8.15am.

And the Charminar exp from chennai to hyderabad sunday ( 01/06/2208) took around 6.13pm in the evening and reached
Hyderabad (nampally) around 10 am thats around 2 & half hour
late.

This is not only the case i have travelling with this train every friday & sunday to & fro from chennai to hyderabad for more
than one year this train charminar has reached on time only
on few occasion. We passenges feel very uncomfortable while
traveling for nearly 17 to 18hrs, normal jounrney hour is 14hrs.

Pls.i request the railway authorities to look into this issue. becos
this train never runs on schedule time, always runs min. 2 to 3 hrs
late.

Hello Sir,

am a regular traveller from yeswanthpur to Mangalore, the problem is with the delaying in arrival to mangalore, as per the train schedule the train should arrive mangalore at 8.15am, but now it is reaching at 1pm.

When i travelled in march 2008, the train used to arrive at correct timing. why from past one month it is arriving at 1pm.

Appreciate for your earliest reply.

I agree that the commuter had to suffer the burns for the mistakes committed by the railway employees at Mysore. I think they should file a consumer case against the Railway authorities and get compensated for the disturbances caused by this event.
