Plasterboard
I ordered some boards for a renovation. When first delivered they had put their fork through the bottom 2 boards completely erupting them and then placed a pallet on the top full of adhesive which has marked the wall surface of the top board and the board was for taping and jointing. After sending 3 emails which were ignored I finally got a response due...

This company has no phone support, everything is online by their website. If you do send in an email, they may not even respond.
Even after purchasing a large quantity of product, you cannot purchase an additional amount without paying the outrageous shipping fee, and you have to wait for the product to arrive.
This company does not want to work with the customer!
Desired outcome: Would be dreaming if you thought they cared about customer service.

RE: Order# V0054185 Order Date: Order Total $5, 259.79
I have experienced a very angry, cruel and demeaning experience with the Management team of Jonathon Barber and Kathy Barber with Insulationforless.com. I have never been handled with such disrespect, while attempting to order insulation product and afterwards attempting to receive service or communication.
Insulation for less does not have a customer service telephone line to handle any inquires or concerns, therefore after a series of email correspondence attempting to process an online order with no avail, I requested a call from the company. Mr. Barber spoke to myself and wife with absolute disdain and anger to place an order and degraded us as consumers. Mr & Mrs. Barber are not polite.
Thereafter, once the product arrived, we had further questions and concerns about the quality and amount ordered. After several attempts to communicate via email inquiry, since there is no call center line nor customer service agents, and they both refuse to respond to our inquiries and communicate out of respect. It is vital that consumers have a communication line after the order, yet the policy of the poor managers is to ignore a high paying customer, out of state.
Jonathon Barber possesses no customer service etiquette or open door policy and is harsh and rude with customers... I began reading other reviews that reflect the same about his disposition and behavior.
Unfortunately, there is no corporate office or president to voice our complaint to. I am assuming this complaint will fall into the hands of the Barbers and I'm afraid we will not receive any closure.
Seeking a refund and justice.

As a result, only 14% of 7 complaints are resolved. The support team may have poor customer service skills, lack of training, or not be well-equipped to handle customer complaints.
Horrible customer service
I recently researched insulation products and found myself on the insulation for less website. I had several uestions about the insulation but found that all the phone numbers led to a dead end, directing me to send an email. I reluctantly sent an email stating some of my needs and questions but due to the complexity of my interest in the product for a manufacturing process I really needed to speak to someone so I requested a response by phone.
Instead of a phone call I received an email response that was far from adequate for even the few items I put forth in my request.
A phone number was provided with the email so I called it. The recording turned out to be the same as the other calls I had made and it became increasingly obvious that this was a one man operation designed to run on autopilot. I eventually found a way to leave a few messages and I finally received a return phone call. The man I spoke to was no doubt the owner. Noone else could have kept a job as a customer service represenative while being such a biligerant jerk. The guy was clearly mad at me for wanting to actually speak to a person. How dare I not just shut up and fill out his online order form. He basically yelled at me, challenging me to point out what email answers he had given that were not satisfactory. He accused me of not reading the website as I should have been aware that they only answer questions via email and never by phone. His arrogant rudeness was shocking. Did he not know I was just a customer that wanted to possibly purchase a ton of his product? He has no idea the size of the order I had to place with him or the reoccurring OEM orders my company would have potentially made every month.
Our conversation ended with him confirming that I had two choices. Either ask any and all questions and buy online or go somewhere else. Well, for certain, I am taking my business elsewhere. Thank God I did not spend a dime with this jerell before seeing his true colors. My heart goes out to all the other people who have been screwed by this jerell that I have read about after the fact. It wasn't hard to find people who had been crossways with this guy regardless of how much propaganda he puts on these complaint sites to counter people's claims. Believe me, I have better things to do than write this, but sometimes you feel that as a consumer, you owe it to your fellow man/woman to at least sound the alarm.
My advice, spend your money elsewhere.
I've had the same experience as everyone else. Rude obnoxious and even hung up on me in mid conversation. When I email asking even more questions he discovered I was an engineer and knew what I was talking about and he told me to buy someplace else he didn't need my business.
There's a video on YouTube that explains that the only way to get anywhere near the R value they claim is it must be used a tested. The test is a 24" x24" 2x4 box. The product is draped across it with a 2" air gap. Then the top and bottom of the box has 3/4" plywood screwed to it so the box is air tight and encapsulated.
Then they run the test. Note that the video doesn't use prodex in their example but it shows how all products like this are tested. Interestingly enough he recommends just using just using the heavy gauge aluminum foil designed for roofing which is fairly cheap and then insulate if you wish but you likely won't need it if you vent the top of the shaft.
Avoid this company at all costs. I had 2 large metal barns, 3 car metal garage and shop and a house I was interested in doing.
Rude owners. That's the nice way to put it. Save yourself the time. The positive reviews have to be fake.
Good luck
Double Charged on Shipping Charges- Refuses to refund the Difference
Here is the direct email correspondence with Kathy Blajerski-Barber:
"Hello,
Recently, I ordered a roll of 4x50 Prodex Insulation, order # V29431 and took advantage of your Buy One Get One free sale. Sadly, once again, I am enormously disappointed with your company and it's shady policies, but I am giving you the opportunity to make this right for your long time customer. I have been a customer of yours since 2008, and orders on your website show orders dating back to Aug 2009, when you re-built your site.
Let me get to the point: On the order #V29431, placed on 5/15/2015 and delivered via FedEx today on 5/19/2015. Not only did you charge me 2 shipping fees of $18.00 per roll (and delivered the rolls in one package) for a total of $36.00, you also charged me 2 residential delivery charges of $4.50 per roll, for a total of $9.00, when there is only 1 package delivered.
You also raised the price up from the last order I placed from $109.95 per roll (plus shipping and delivery fees) to $139.95 per roll in your Buy One Get One Free scam. Effectively, what I paid only 1 month ago for the same roll of insulation (a final total of $131.45, and those shipping rates were $17, not $18) has now become a total of $184.95 during your Buy One Get One Free Scam, effectively making this Buy One Get One Free special you are running, a Buy One Roll, Get Another Roll for 1/2 off.
And my last order, placed on 4/10/15, was lost in shipment, and almost 2 weeks later, your company FINALLY decided to ship me another roll, costing my customers time, and costing me money from new orders.
Before that, just 10 days prior, I ordered the same 4x50 roll, and guess what? Yes, my charges were again different. You charged me $99.95 per roll, and I could go on, and on, about how your price changes on the website every week, and your shipping charges are never the same either.
But you know what, I have kept my mouth shut, and purchased your products for the past 7 years, hoping that something would change, and that your shady policies would stop. Boy, I was wrong. It has only gotten worse.
With all of that being said, I expect a refund of the difference you charged me for the dual shipping fees, as well as the dual residential delivery fees, for a total of $22.50. I should also ask for a refund of the price increase you instituted just for this sale, but I'm going to be the nice guy here, and only ask for $22.50.
I expect a response to this email, and a refund of $22.50 immediately.
Thank you for your time!"
I received a response from Kathy indicating that I had accepted the terms of the sale, and no refund would be issued. When I responded indicating that the Terms and Conditions did not state that I would be charged for 2 delivery charges, and only have 1 package delivered, her response was the following:
"You agreed to the price. How we package is not of your concern. We will not address this issue again. We have removed you from our email list and wish you well."
Not only did Insulation4less.com refuse to make this right, and refund the dual shipping charges (which is all I was asking for), Kathy was extremely rude in her responses, and their company consistently fluctuates on prices, and runs unethical business practices, including raising the price on the product for a sale, and then lowering it back down after the sale, and shows no remorse or concern for their customer when issues arise, such as my last order that mysteriously got lost in shipment, and it took almost 2 weeks to receive a new roll of insulation, as well as refunding this small and insignificant amount of money for incorrect shipping charges, which should be done, not only because it is the right thing to do, but also because a company should want to keep a customer they have had for 7 years and not want to brush them off and be rude to their longtime customer.
I expect this company to resolve this dual shipping charge issue immediately.
Fake promises, still no delivery
My family bought insulation products from the company www.insulation4less.com. We paid and got confirmation info, but after that total rubbish started. They sent different emails every day and promised that soon they would deliver order. Each day I got such emails, but they still haven’t provided it. I was furious and asked them to stop and return money back, but they suddenly stopped to communicate with me. Maybe someone has any ideas how to return money back, please contact me then or leave a comment. Thanks.
Prodex Insulatino
I love Prodex Insulation: I bought a lot. I have insulated over ½ my attic with it. I also bought the double stick tape from Insulation4Less along with the foil tape. Here is what I think about installation – it is easy. I had fiberglass insulation with a poly vapor barrier covering the insulation and rafters. I stapled the poly to the rafters and slit the...
