unhappy about billing
I would like to voice out my complaint. On the 12.02.16 I registered for an Intec course in Graphic Design, I paid an amount of R1300 as a deposit. 14 days later I received my study materials, during the course of 2 weeks I decided to start my assignment as I was excited. I then realised that the course is not for me then requested to change. I have since waited for the change to happen, during the course on the month an amount of R599 was deducted from my account, and I had stated that I would pay by hand, I then reversed the amount due to the fact that I had not received my new study materials for Events Management. This month my account was debited again, and I reversed the amount, because I cannot be paying for something that I do not have, now I have been receiving calls and smses telling me that my account is in arrears.

I registered with Intec College beginning of October 2015 for the ICB Office Administration diploma which is a 3 year course. My first year is to obtain the National Certificate in Office Administration. On the 23rd of November 2015 I received my text books and found that 5 text books were missing although according to a Zaeed from their stores department all 13 units were shipped. I immediately contacted Intec college and informed them which books were missing and was told by their call center that they would escalate the matter to the relevant department. I continuously called the call center to find out where these books were and each time was told that the matter would be escalated to the relevant department and to their manager. I then lodged a compliant on Intec's website and a lady by the name of Claudine from their complaints department did contact me and assured me that she will look into this matter and get my books to me - this was the beginning of December 2015. The whole of December I had to call all the time and follow up as to where my books are and each time was told that the matter will be escalated to the relevant department and that somebody would call me back. Nobody EVER calls you back. Beginning of January Claudine called me again to query if I had received my books as she had gone on leave in December and had thought that my query was resolved (whatever). I informed her that it had not and that now I was getting irritated considering I had paid up front for my first year and that my first exam was to be written on the 15th of February 2016 and I did not have all the text books to study for that exam. I also told her that Intec's 72 hour turn around time was a load of rubbish as it was passed 1 month since I lodged my complaint. She assured me she would look into this. She then called me back to inform me that their system had made an error and had indicated that all my books were sent and it was not an Intec fault. I find that to be a very untrue statement. Somebody had to indicate which books were being sent. So now, they had to reorder my 5 units and that these books should arrive in January. She kept extending the date and eventually said that they would be shipped over night by the end of January 2016. Well guess what? Today is the end of January 2016 and I still do not have my missing 5 units. My exam is now 15 days away and I cannot fully study for it. What makes it worse is my next exam is in May and I do not have any of those books to study for that exam. I find Intec's response to complaints and the manner in which they handle their complaints completely unacceptable. All I want are my 5 missing units that I paid for in order for me to complete my studies this year. They are now interfering with my study time as I only have x amount of days to study and being a mom and full time employed does not give me much time to study. This now adds extra pressure. So Intec College, where are my 5 units?
exchange of 'outdated' textbooks
I registered with Intec in January 2015 for the Technical Financial Accounting course. I was told when registering that because I have paid for the three courses upfront, I will receive all my textbooks together. I said to the consultant that I dont want all the textbooks at one time as I must complete one level at a time. My main concern was that the textbooks might change from last year to this year, the consultant told me not to worry as I have 2015 textbooks and they would be valid for this year. In November 2015, I received correspondance from ICB stating that my second level textbooks have changed. When phoning Intec, I was told (very rudely) that there is nothing they can do at this time and I must call back in January. So I tried to phone in January, no answer. When I did finally get through I was told to leave my number and someone will get back to me within the day, that was three days ago. I have sent numerous emails and only recieved one feedback to say 'issue being esculated'. The fact of the matter is, I have paid for my studies up front. Now that the two textbooks have changed (my middle level books), Intec want to charge me again to receive new textbooks. I feel this is not right as I have already paid for textbooks... which I can now not use. I feel Intec should take those books back and supply me with the new ones. I also feel that they should respond to emails and phone calls.

awaiting certificate
I registered for basic safety and electrical with intec college in 2013. I was supposed to be credited with my certificate upon my completion, but I was told that I wont be given an award without a practical, when I registered for the course it excluded the practical material and I paid full for the course, but not its been almost I and a half year since im waiting for the college to decide weather ill get my award or not. The service has not been good, all the the time I call I get the same answer from these consultant, no one is able to assist me.

lack of response on refund - 60 days overdue
This letter is to complain about service I received from Intec College. I cannot name anyone specifically as I get through to different Call Centre Agents each time and my complaint actually lies with your Cancelations Department and the Department that is supposed to pay me back my money. I have no access to those departments so feel free to choose someone and find out what is going on.
This is to inform you that after I am done with complaining on Social Media and to the National Consumer Board, and anyone else I can find who has something to do with protecting consumers from large, thieving companies like you, I will be moving onto Small Claims Court.
I will no longer waste my own airtime following up and begging someone to escalate my complaint (this has been done over and over again – to no avail!) to pay me back, I will no longer take unpaid time off work to locate documentation and call your Call Centre and send through mails.
I registered with you on the 30th of October 2014. Due to lack of service and your own breach of contract and agreements, I cancelled my contract with you in January 2015 but after all the documents and certified copies of everything you demanded, the cancelation was only acknowledged at the end of February 2015. The cancellation was accepted on the 23rd of February 2015 but you dragged it out and it was only “officially” registered on the 10th of April 2015. I am sure you do tis just to make it a terrible process to cancel. After 90 days from the 10th of April, you had not paid me back. You are in breach of your own terms and conditions for the second time. It is almost the 10th of September 2015 which means you are 60 days late. In spite of this, you still sent me a statement claiming back R350 for admin costs – what admin?!?! The admin I have done trying to get my money back?
I expected a much higher level of service from your company, and I am quite disappointed, disgusted and frustrated with your complete lack of concern over taking and keeping someone’s money. Is your company doing so badly that my small amount of money is worth fighting for? I don’t understand how, legally, you are allowed to do this. I cannot comprehend that you will rather force me to go and take more unpaid leave and drag you into a courtroom than just pay me back as promised?!
Is this how you treat all your customers? You made a verbal claim on one of my many, many follow ups that you would immediately blacklist a person who did not pay their education fee – so how does that not apply to you?
If you go back in your recordings you will be able to trace how many phone calls I have made over the last 7 months – trying to get this sorted out.
Is this what you do so that people give up and don’t bother? I can assure you I will not give up. I will continue this until you pay me what is owed and you will not take off any fees for any admin because I have done all the admin. In fact, when I get to the courtroom, you will have to pay me for the unpaid leave and airtime that I have wasted on you.
It just confuses me that a massive company like yourselves will play games like this and force people to go to unrealistic lengths just to get you to adhere to the terms you set out.
I will be starting an investigation to find out exactly how many people are affected by your disgusting lack of ethics and make sure this is made public knowledge with all the facts.
Just running a search on google brings up a terrifying amount of complaints about your company!

mislead on course available won't refunc
On the 21st of January 2015 we applied to enroll Bianca Nel for Intec Coreldraw x 4 short Course Certificate Sibahle Magcu helped us to submit all documents and send us an invoice [protected], we had to do a payment of R5727.00. This was transferred into Intec's account on the 23rd of January 2015. Two days later Sibahle Magcu phoned me and said they don"t have this course anymore and we must change to an adobe course this is not what we wanted and cancelled our application with tho procedure they guided us with. And we requested a refund. We had to submit loads of documents and since the end of February 2015 we are still awaiting our refund. We could not help this girl to enroll at another institution as we awaiting our refund. Every week we phone and email just to hear the payment went to finance in Durban but no one could give us a contact number of person to talk to in finance and still no money.

Last year I applied for a course (First Aid level1). I competed all the documents and registration and made payment in full. Few weeks later I enquired about my study material only to be informed the course was discontinued.
This was last year Oct. I requested refund and had to complete documents and submit. I enquired around Nov - Dec only to be told that the information provided isn't enough. So I resubmitted. It's now end June and several emails and complaints later being told is been addressed and feedback will be provided.
I registered with intec during the month of February 2015. Karen helped me with the registration form and the documents I needed was incomplete and Karen was of sick so I spoke to Andre he helped and I changed from one course hence I knew I was not registered yet cause Karen was not at work to assist and Andre told me that I was not registered for the Project Management course and registered me for Human Resource course. After paying the human resource course they send me the Project Management Course books via courier and the courier left my books with someone woman where I stay. After a week that's when I received my books after the lady not knowing me and trying to get hold of me. I decided to study the Project Management Course and cancel the Human Recourse Course. I have send through all the required document during the month of April 2015 and no response. I have been calling intec on a weekly basis to find out how far the process if of the Cancellation and Deregistration so I can get my refund but uptill to day I have not received any response or confirmation on how far the process is the only thing I would here is that it needs to go to management it needs to go to management. I recently completed my Diploma in Financial Account (full programme) with this institution and have not yet received my award. Everytime I enquire I am told that I will be getting an update or feedback with 48 to 72 hours and that never happens - I am the one who always has to keep nagging them for feedback. The attached shows all the subjects I completed for the Diploma and I got all this information from them so I do not understand where the problem is? My student number is [protected].

Just to give you an idea of the level of service thus far:
5 Consultants and 5 phone calls later, promised to refer this to procurement.
3 Consultants and another 3 phone calls later promised to refer this to management.
Your Facebook page has made 2 promises ( to contact me) they never kept.
I have completed 7 online forms via your website for someone to contact me.
Nadeema from the complaints division promised me on the 10th of March that she would give me feedback by 12pm on the 11th of March. ( None received).
Shakier ( a manager?!) promised to phone me back by 5pm yesterday. ( I am still waiting).
There was never any mention of a delay in study material which should have arrived on the 20th of February, however there was no hesitation to take a deposit or deduct a premium off my account and not provide feedback. This is by far the worst service I have ever received from any institution.
Kindly advise how this problem can be solved by close of business today?

NO BOOKS NO FEEDBACK
I have registered for a course with Intec on the 25th Nov 2014. I was told that i will receive my books in 21 days. It is now the 13th Jan 2015 and no one is replying on emails. No on is phoning me and informing me where my books are or when it will be delivered.
I call them everyday and ask when i will receive my books, and everyone keeps telling me that the supplier is busy with STOCK TAKE and they do no know when they will be done. No one can call the supplier, they have to wait for the supplier to get back to them.
They keep sending a request out to who knows who to find out regarding books, but no one gets any answers. I need to start with my course ASAP.
paralegal diploma
I have registered with Intec College on the 08 Aug 2012. I have received my books by he end of Aug 2012. Novemer 2012 was the first exam session and there was 2 months left to study and for me as a new student I ask them if my course is going to be extended because thy send m book late and I have a letter where they confirmed that my course expires the end of November 2014. No when I submitted my assignments for my last subject they tell me my contact is over and it would not be marked and they would not assist me with queries. I mean this is really not fair because I am now being deprived of my right of finishing my course on time while they did not do their job properly! And I have prove of the letter dated 28 August 2012.
incompetence
I find it hard to believe that through sheer incompetence I was registered for a course that is not even as yet available at INTEC. Apologies were made, but no further feedback was communicated to me and no response to emails or phone messages to call me back was or is answered. I am simply registering for matric biology. As seen through my emails. But now, I am waiting for 3 weeks. Where I have been assured that within 5 days I will have my student number and soon after that my books. I had to get angry and phone at least a dozen times, to find out that I will not be called back and that I was not told that I was registered for a course that would have no value to me whatsoever.
Now a guy phones me from INTEC, stating that the course I want is either unavailable or not yet active. I paid my deposit asap. Now I want my money back and the answer is "Someone will phone you within 48hours. We have a backlog". It is now Friday, I expect my call no further than Sunday. That is 48 hours. If not, I will be heading to small claims court and getting a lawyer that INTEC will have to foot the bill of.

I registered with Intec in December 2011, they only allow debit orders on their application form, Nelly who registered me also said only debit orders, no EFT allowed. I was told I will make my first payment January 2012, then told end of February, no debit wet off and when I phoned accounts they told me they are having problems I must EFT it this time, end February, and that this will not happen again. Then I received an invoice showing my payment end February and stating I owed it for end of March only, but I am up to date. So my next payment is due end of April, I haven't received another invoice till today 14 May and this is a statement dated 30 April, so I get it 2 weeks late. On this statement it shows I owe 30days, 60days and 90 days, when in fact I only owe for end April, which has still not been debited? This is the worst company and service in history, I sorely regret signing up with them, and this after I waited longer than the 21 days for my books as well...NEVER USE INTEC, THEY NO NOT WHAT THEY DO! What they say and do are opposites, everyone has a different story and nothing gets fixed...so spare yourself the agony of dealing with them...

I enrolled 3 subjects in Jan 2018, 1 of the 3 subject was wrong after months of communication to the student support I have not received any help. I would advise everyone not to register as the service is non existent
I understand completely your frustration with Intec. We enrolled my daughter in January 2012. Paid the full course plus courier charges... on the 18th Feb 2012 received her confirmation of enrollment with student number and all. ever since then we were waiting, and mailing for the study material... to be told in April that they do not have the material, but is trying to "source" the course material. we then opted to cancel the studies, as this is totally not acceptable, and requested a refund. today - 16/05/2012, we have not received ANYTHING - no study material, no funds, no absolutely NOTHING. I would honestly love to know who exactly controls these educational institutions, for someone has to do something about the state of their service.
Non refund
I registered with Inect for my daughter and my son stood as gaurantor because I can't. We cancelled shortly after registering her and was told we'd get a full refund back and it was communicated as URGENT. Well after many, many emails and phone calls later it is now FOUR months later and I'm told the same old line every single time...they are investigating and will follow up but have heard nothing from senior management. I want my refund. I communicated to Intec that I am a single mom and need my money but still nothing. HOw is it possible that so many people complain about the same thing and nothing seems to be done about it?

I have registed to study Supply Chain Management at Intec College on the 16th June 2010, paid a registration fee of R7, 823, made arrangements with the student advisor that I shall collect my study material from their branch in Braamfontein, in July 2010 went for the collection of my study material, Intec failed to provide. Contacted Intec College in August 2011, still no material was provided, sent an email of cancelation of the course and requested Intec to refund my money. till today Intec have not refunded my money several times.

I have heard nothing from senior management except "sorry for inconvenience" or "they phoned me to no avail". Unfortunately after investigating MANY similar complaints, I've come to realize they respond with the SAME reply to everyone! I want my refund as it is almost R 2000! How is it possible that so many people complain about the same thing and nothing seems to be done about it? A certain Melvin Moodley seems to be the person to act upon this. I am desperate for this money as they thrive on interest from other people's monies that don't belong to them. Please help!
I agree because am in the same position right now.I registered for a course in 2011 Feb and was given wrong information by the student consultant which resulted in me paying more than I was suppose to pay.They told me in 2011 that we will refund you.In Feb 2012 I told them that I needed my refund.I was told to fax my bank statement, I did and the waiting period they told me 90 days.A few days later I phoned to make sure everything was ok, they told me I must fax again.I did as they said and they told me everything was ok.On 28 Feb I phoned again and I was told they did not receive my documents.I send them again and promise 90 days from 28 Feb2012.I waited and on 25 May 2012 I phoned to check and they told me just wait till month end of May 2012.Today 29 May I phoned they told me I must wait another 90 days .
Before all this drama they used to send me statements that I owe them.I faxed proof of payment .Another statement came again saying I have to pay .In the mean time they with held results.I faxed proof again and I got my results.After a few days they told me they were going to remark the exam. I waited and got the results after three weeks.After that I waited for my award.Nothing came until I phoned and I was told they did not know if I wanted the award.For GOD'S sake, if someone passes the exam he or she must be given the award.

Hi my name is joeline. Im a student at intec colledge, I payed my last settelment like 2weeks ago, so I phoned and I phoned and every single time they put me through to several diverent people and none of them seems to help, all that they must do is to clear my account at the colledge so that I can recieve my next study material so I phoned the ncra national credit recovery agency and they send me the settlement letter and they told me I must phone the colledge so that they can clear it from their systms, finnaly I spoke to carla and I emaild and faxed my settlement to her... No responce then I spoke to a brain and he said it will be done in 72 hours... That was last week thursday the 19th of january... Today I phoned the same number and quese what... No one can help me, and they said I must phone the ncra... Now im fed up. Im sad. And im verry disapointed cause no one can help me... I littrely got 6 numbers infront of me and none of them are useless... Even when I phone the same number as last week thursday its always I different person and no one has a recall of a brain nor a carla! I mean seriousely... What is going on? I need answers and I need my study material a. S. A. P.
