ITV Peston Show Jeremy Corbyn/Liz Kendall

I agree with many regarding the petty and viscous attack on Mr Corbyn by Liz Kendall, but my other concern regards journalist impartiality.
Many will have studied the long awaited Forde Report and I'm certain Robert Peston MUST have done so too.

Mr. Corbyn is clearly exonerated in the report with large sections highlighting the difficulty in processing complaints due to deliberate withholding of vital information by factional groups. Lets not mention the uncovered overt cruelty, racism and diverting of finance by the same faction...
The Ford Report is surely a golden opportunity for serious in depth reporting?

These days on so many news programmes it seem that once a narrative is established it simply cannot be questioned, I'm old enough to have grown up in the glory days of TV investigative journalism, when wars were questioned and Governments held to account, it's very sad to see major 'news' programmes going down the tabloid headline route.
If I had a God I'd pray for the ability of journalists to stand back, look at 'claims' and say, 'Is this really true and correct?' Instead it feels like 'raising hackles' through the creation of scandal has replaced news.

Kendall should have been held up to the same scrutiny as Mr. Corbyn, failing to do so, after a report uncovering corruption, institutionalised racism and deceit within particular Labour Party factions, is a choice and in this case a very poor one.

Desired outcome: I feel fair coverage of the findings of the Ford Report would improve vastly the trustworthiness of ITV reporting compared with that of the BBC. Surely that would increase the perception of fairness?

ITV Peston

Liz Kendall, a guest of Robert Peston on 11 January 2023, made allegations against another guest, Jeremy Corbyn, which Corbyn attempted to point out had been entirely disproven by an official report known as the Forde Report. Rather than pursuing that fact Peston continued to permit Kendall to insult Corbyn as though his most valid point, which had been barely audible since a good deal of the time people were talking over one another, had either not been made or was of no interest or relevance. The whole thing felt like a deliberate character assassination, and no impartiality whatsoever was displayed by the host.

Desired outcome: A public apology to Mr. Corbyn which includes a correction to Liz Kendall's allegations.

ITV Peston on ITV

On the recent edition of Peston on ITV, Peston allowed MP Liz Kendall to make utterly false and misinformed claims and slurs against Jeremy Corbyn with regards to antisemitism. It was a total character assassination and the host simply allowed this to happen without challenge or correction.

Jeremy Corbyn, former Labour leader, was found innocent of any wrongdoing by the EHRC reports and this was further reinforced by the Forde Report. Jeremy Corbyn is not and has never been antisemitic, and it is quite clear that this slur was used as a political tool to remove him from office and to wrongly remove the whip. The claims have no foundation or basis in truth at all and for ITV to perpetrate these lies once again is absolutely despicable.

Jeremy Corbyn has won two peace prizes - do ITV really think that these would have been awarded in there was any hint of wrongdoing or alleged racism?

ITV, and Peston in particular, need to issue an apology to Jeremy Corbyn live on air on the show, citing that the Forde report supported the fact that this alleged issue was grossly overstated, and that Liz Kendall's remarks were nothing but slurs on her former leader. Anything else would be unacceptable and ITV need to take ownership and have accountability for the slurs they allowed live on air which will and have caused reputational damage to one of the only honest, hardworking MPs in Westminster currently.

I trust that you will rectify this matter post-haste.

Desired outcome: Public apology live on Peston on ITV and correcting the mininformation and downright lies spouted by MP Liz Kendall.

ITV Peston ITV Wednesday 11th Jan 2023

I tuned in to watch & was shocked to see how Liz Kendal was allowed to lie directly on the show in regards to Jeremy Corbyn not dealing with antisemitism whilst leader of the Labour Party, the claims she made were out & out lies which went unchallenged by the host Mr Peston, the host & ITV must be fully aware that Mr Corbyn was vindicated by the Forde Report & the Aljazeera files which the MSM consistently ignore. This was an extremely unfair & untruthful account of the facts & i feel it was yet again an attempt to publicly humilate Mr Corbyn for political gain & a full apology to Mr Corbyn should be forthcoming.

Desired outcome: Public apology & the true facts aired on the show.

ITV Peston show

The way Peston allowed the humiliation of Jeremy Corbyn - ex leader of the opposition by Kendal - failed runner up for leader- was shocking. He should have intervened but seemed to enjoy the spectacle. He allowed her to accuse Corbyn of antisemitism which has been proven to be untrue. She should have been made to apologise and the show needs to think about attempting some form of unbiased reporting! Disgusting

Desired outcome: An apology on the next show

ITV Peston

I do not wish to complain about the program or Robert Peston.
I wish, however, to complain about the behavior of Liz Kendall MP towards Jeremy Corbyn MP. She was aggressive from the outset and she had a totally disrespectful approach to him.
Whether one agrees with another's point of view, there has to be some form of respect from people who are supposed to be the nation's representative.

Desired outcome: Liz Kendall MP be advised to tone her approach down with people whose view she may not share.

ITV Peston last evening 11/01/2023

I always watch this usually informative and fair presentation, Last Night 11/01/2023 I watched with interest to see if for once, Jeremy Corbyn would be treated fairly by the Media. I was disappointed, Liz Kendall began her usual diatribe about Mr Corbyn's 'supposed' 'Antisemitism' Corbyn retained a dignified presence during her litany of untruths. The matter she referred to he has been cleared of completely. WHY did no one pick her up on this? It is fascinating to me how the attacks on a thoroughly decent and truthful man are allowed to continue! The current Labor Administration under Starmer has actually ejected several long standing Jewish Members from the Labour Party! Corbyn had many good ideas which would have benefited us all, but not the wealthy! So he had to be dishonored, ably assisted by Labour Party MPs who stood to lose 'perks' under his Leadership. THAT was never going to be allowed to happen, was it? So a thoroughly decent man was, and still is unfairly, trashed. Meantime, the rich get richer and the poor go hungry and cold! By allowing this woman's comments to go unchecked you are supporting this state of affairs, I am deeply disappointed. Valerie Matthews

Desired outcome: Rectification of this in a future programme.

ITV Jeremy Clarkson.

Disgusted that this monstrous figure is still being employed by ITV. You give credibility to a man who has shown himself to be violent in speech and action. His comments re Markle were disgusting, an appalling and disturbing influence on young people, and may well come under the legal category of hate speech. From your point of view, he is an absolute negative for your shareholders and your advertisers.

ITV Jeremy Clarkson remaining as host of Who Wants To Be A Millionaire

In light of Mr Clarkson's recent article published in The Sun newspaper regarding Meghan Markle, I wish to complain to ITV about their decision to retain him as host of one of the channel's more popular programmes. This decision reflects badly on ITV as a whole and shows the management to be tone deaf and insensitive to public opinion of Mr Clarkson. Furthermore I personally refuse to watch any future programmes (ITV included) involving this vile man.

Desired outcome: Sack Clarkson and ensure that he never appears on mainstream TV again.

ITV Jeremy Clarkson

I am disgusted at the vile comments made in the Sun by Clarkson about Meghan Markle. No apology can compensate for the hurt done to the lady or the damage to all women by his revolting words.

Clarkson should never be allowed to broadcast in this country again, & persisting in using him as a presenter is extremely detrimental to your organisation.

Desired outcome: Remove Clarkson from all ITV broadcasting

ITV ITV sport

Dear ITV,

Date Sunday 18th December 2022.

I would prefer for ITV sport to report sporting matters, why am I having to listen to a millionaire (Gary Neville) tell me about his political views when on ITV.

You should sack that self opinionated Labour millionaire as he spoiled my World Cup final day ! not happy you allow this to happen, pundits should stick to sporting opinions and leave news to news channels .

John robinson.

Desired outcome: Yes please get back to me if you want to ?

ITV ITVX app

I had already written complaining about the new ITVX app, it hasn’t changed, I’m forever restarting my router and uninstalling and reinstalling the app, it really is not worth the subscription I pay, if I pause the program, when I press play it freeezes then plays from the start, you cannot fast forward or rewind.the app appears to be completely unusable.

Regards

Mr M Gough

ITV Richard Madeley

Richard Madeley interview (if you could call it that) with Mick Lynch consisted initially of him ranting at Mick Lynch and every Lynch tried to talk Madeley just shouted him down not allowing him to speak The other person on GMB had to intervene

This was not fair or even handed interview

This was a form of bullying and was a bad example of how to conduct a interview

Desired outcome: This form of interviewing should not be allowed

ITV itvX

I've just watched catchphrase love the program but every single advert was for itvX. I don't mind being advertised to, but I do object to having a product shoved down my throat at every opportunity the advertiser got.

The average consumer gets advertised to a lot, too much in my opinion. I watch TV to enjoy the program that's on, but the same adverts over and over or the same product over and over completely spoiled my enjoyment of said program.

This is a rare thing for me to complain, I just feel so strongly about being told over and over to watch something on itvX just so they can advertise to me again. They treated me and every other viewer with little or no respect just to get us to watch their streaming service, for which they are charging advertiser's a premium.

Desired outcome: A kick up the [censored] for ITV.

ITV Coverage of world cup England bias

have stopped watching the world cup coverage on both BBC and ITV due to the talk and coverage of Englands next match, England's injury etc . Even on matches of no England on the pitch they get mentioned. Wales v England, it was all about England. In the case of two home teams unbias is called for. If they talked about other teams in half time or the actual teams playing I would actually watch. I get Ur a English company but there is other fans in the United Kingdom. Of every team in the competition. If England go out I will start watching again as the commentary might be unbiased and no footage of England when they are not the two teams actually playing. I was looking forward to the world cup but the commentary has put me off. Bias should not exist in any form.

ITV World Cup football coverage

I would like to express my utter disappointment regarding your panel covering the world Cup football of Portugal Vs Morocco. As a football lover and an English fan I found your panel to be biased and failing to give a little credit on merit to the winner Morocco. They even found that Portugal played bad football instead by defying reality. Never even mentioned that Portugal failed to equalised against 10 players ... I can understand if it was a match against England but no it was two foreign countries playing football. I disgusted with your panel and feel that itv is responsible for it. I felt like I was watching this in Portugal.

Desired outcome: Discipline or get rid of such panel culture. I would like to know their real reason too.

ITV One sided news coverage of National Health Service

I have been watching the news recently and there are numerous stories told about lenthgy delays for ambulances and hospital treatment. There is never a good story.

In my case in early September of this year, I was taken ill at home, my wife dialled 999 and an ambuance was at our house within a few minutes, in fact, whilst my wife was still talking to the emergency services on the phone. That ambulance did not have the medication I needed, so another ambulance was sent for and was also at the house within several minutes.

I was taken to the John Radcliffe in Oxford, admitted immediatly and treated immediately. In fact I was being wheeled down for a brain scan as my wife arrived at the hospital. She had followed behind the ambulance to the hospital and had to park the car.

This is excellent and very prompt service.

Please broadcast this in the news to give a balanced view of the current situation in the NHS.

If you wish to contact me, my name is David Cooper, my email is [protected]@Outlook.com and my phone number is [protected].

Desired outcome: please broadcast my story on the news for balanced coverage.

ITV Pampers advert

Today 30th November 2022 in the commercial break at approximately 7.45pm of Emmerdale, there was an advert by Pampers, the product for babies.

In the advert that state's 'it cares for your baby' it shows a mother and her baby in a bed (maternity ward I believe) baby in mother's arm's, BOTH! WEARING A MASK!

THIS IS DIABOLICAL! and FAR FROM CARING!

The UK Government website stated in March 2020 and it is still on the website to date, that the so called Covid-19 threat was downgraded to be less dangerous than the seasonal flu!

Also no one, not even scientists have ever isolated the so called virus.

This advert is DANGEROUS TO THE VIEWERS.

Desired outcome: Immediate removal of the advert and educating all involved!

ITV Ed Chamberlain

I am writing to complain about Ed Chamberlain, itv racing presenter.

He is so condescending and sarcastic, nearly every time he hosts the show.

For example today, he was critical of the lady holding up a mat for the injured jockeys club, she is only trying to help those in need.

On his high salary, he does not care.

Also, he is in love with his own voice and views, he needs to present and no more.

He is also rude and always making fun of others, it would be esdy to make fun out of him.

Please think about taking note of his manner.
