ITV subtitles on itv3+1- sky

We always use TV subtitles 888 to watch and hear TV as we are hard of hearing.

I have been watching ITV3 and ITV3+1 recently . ITV3 subtitles are very good whereas the same program
on +1 suffers from delayed text. missing lines of text and even completely missing text for acouple of minutes. I particularly checked 3 versus 3+1 on Mon 6th Oct 2008 when I watched Midsommer mapping on both channels one after the other. The above faults manifested themselves frequently.
I was watching on Sky Freesat.
I had some difficulty in finding a complaints procedure - I trust this e-mail reaches the right quarter and would appreciate an acknowledgment if it does.
Also if there is a more direct communication method I would be pleased i you would let me know.
Incidentally I live near Bristol BS20 7JA

ITV programme timings

I am really annoyed that I have missed the last episode of Doc Martin due to an apparent rescheduling of the programme from the time advertised in Radio Times. The programme, scheduled for 9 p.m. was shown at 8 p.m. and replaced at 9p.m. by Trinny and Susannah. In my opinion any replacement programme, i.e. Trinny and Susannah, should be shown at the time of the programme it replaces (in this case 8 p.m.) and series with a regular time slot should be shown at the scheduled time. I look forward to Doc Martin as I am sure many people do, and tonight switched on at the regular time only to find I had missed the programme, the last in the series. This was extremely annoying. If changes to the timing of a programme are necessary would it not be better to show the programme later rather than earlier to ensure that people looking forward to it still have a chance to see it and are therefore not disappointed. I think this is highly irresponsible of ITV.

I am currently unable to receive ITV and had planned to have it taped by a family member. They were horrified to find they had missed it as it was scheduled for 9pm in all the listings. Does anyone know if this will be shown again? I am furious about missing it as it's one of the rare decent programmes on TV these days and only having access to the terrestrial Irish channels I've not much to lookn forward to.

I'd like to know exactly why it was rescheduled in any case, I really can't see any good reason for this.

ITV non delivery

I ordered books and audio book cd over the phone from an infomercial for Dean Graziozo's Real Estate program and accidentally ordered one too many books. The call alone took forever because of all of the adds to try to get you to order all kinds of monthly billed items which I did not want. I tried to call back to cancel one of the books but had to leave a message and they guaranteed that I would get service within 24 hrs. It took over 5 days and by then they said that the shipment had gone out and would have to return one when I got it. I should have received it in 5 days becase I asked for express shipping and did not get it for 14 days and it did not contain the audio book cds that I ordered. Now I cannot get through to talk with anyone about it and am stuck with the charges already on my bill for the book I do not want and the audio book that I did not get!
DO NOT ORDER FROM THESE PEOPLE or GET READY TO GO TO COURT!

ITV Talking rubbish

Good afternoon,

I just wanted to let you know how unhappy some of the comments made today on your show about infertility made me. After trying for a baby for over seven years it is so sad that people can just say things without realising the affect on people. Saying such nasty things like 'People who want to start having a family shouldn't leave it late and should leave work and concentrate on having one'.

Me and my husband work hard don't claim any benefits and like a lot of people work hard for what we have. We would love nothing more than to stop work and have I.V.F for the family that we want so bad... after watching our friends over and over again have children. As this is not a free treatment we would have to pay and also pay for normal everyday things (Mortgage, Rates and general things) and to do this we have to work.

Jane McDonalds closing comments said it all 'I wish that it was that easy' at least there seemed to be someone who understands.

Mrs Leanna Jones

I joined his online business and paid him $500.00. Then later on they wanted more money to have people call after he was advertising on ITV about vitamins. I dropped out of his dead history business before the 3 month refund policy. They closed in 2008 and never refunded my $500.00 back. Now I see he is with some new company on TV selling products after he ripped off many people selling for him on ITV days. I still want my mone back.

ITV schedule changing for gaelic speakers

WHY WHY WHY WHY WHY

Any time there is actually something worth watching at night on ITV, the STV broadcast is RIDICULOUSLY changed to some absolutely, totally, horrendously, rubbish melodramatic "traditional" Scottish dance/music. As a Scot myself, I can categorically and definitely say I don't need:

* Numb3rs - "Identity Crisis"
* Ceol Aig a Chaisteal
* Fir Chlis
* Prince Caspian: Premiere Special (ALSO Tomorrow on ITV 1 Scottish from 12:30am to 1:00am)

ESPECIALLY AS 98.8% OF US DON'T EVEN SPEAK THE LANGUAGE OF THE "SCOTTISH" PROGRAMS (GAELIC)
[Cite: Wikipedia "Scottish Gaelic" - 2001 Census: Population 5, 062, 011 Gaelic&English Speakers: 58, 652]

ESPECIALLY, ESPECIALLY AT IT'S USUAL TIME OF 11.40pm !

HEED MY ADVICE & PUT CONAN THE BARBARIAN ON TONIGHT, OR FEEL MY WRATH

What on earth is going on with stv? They are losing viewers in droves because of their abysmal programmes.
Tonight I was looking forward to new episode of Midsomer Murders - what is stv viewers watching? Yet another repeat of Foyle's War.

Get a grip stv, you are going down fast.

I watched a clip of you've been framed this evening at approximately 8pm. During the clip a small child was being bitten and pursued by a kitten. The child was very distressed and was making attempts to escape the attack and fend off the kitten. My concern is that this was being filmed whist the child was so distressed. You've been framed felt this to be in good taste therefore aired it. Also whoever submitted the recording will have been paid. Personally I was disgusted, professionally I was astounded! The child was subjected to a physical attack by an animal and emotionally abused by whoever was filming the incident. In my professional opinion this was child cruelty and far from appropriate viewing. Children being harmed is not a laughing matter. I would be interested to hear your views on my comments, as a matter of urgency.

ITV smoking on the set

In the episode of 'Coronation Street' 2nd July 2008 actors were smoking on set thus contravening 'No Smoking' laws. Deardry and Liz were seen by millions of viewers smoking unnecessarily on the program. What sort of a message does this send to children and all law abiding citizens?

re: Comment by Loz
That's possibly one of the most ridiculous things I've ever heard. The original complaint about showing people smoking relates to a matter of personal choice. One can choose whether or not to be a smoker.
Your comment about homosexuality is suggesting that one chooses whether or not to be homosexual. It is a well established fact that homosexuality is not a personal choice but defined by one's biological makeup. You can't choose to be straight or gay any more than you can choose to be human or not.

Okay I'm sorry, but two menopausal women with mouths like cats bottoms and frogs in their throats is hardly an enticement for children to start smoking. To the contrary I think that's enough to put any child off of the thought of smoking. They weren't breaking any laws, the new smoking laws do not regulate outdoor areas or TV sets.

Every episode now seems to promote smoking. More and more scenes feature characters smoking. This is giving out the wrong signals to the public. Given health problems of cast, eg Liz Dawm, Anne Kirkbride, this is totally irresponsible.

ITV scam and cheating

The euro football matches are now shown during peak viewing. We love watching important british matches and have not the slightest interest in this tournament. We are not in the damn thing due to incompetent overpayed british players. So why are we having it shoved down our throats. Show it yes, there are people interested but only on itv [protected]- or whatever. Not on our main terrestrial channel, the prima donnas have bankrupted many pubs in their uselessness.

ITV refund

I ordered the book and found the program to be too expensive to do. Colonic treatments and organic food, what a rip off. I too tried to call customer service for a RM (return merchandise number). Finally you must call the 800 number on you credit card statement, then they give you the run around after being on hold for 50 minutes and tell me that someone will call you back. I finally called again and got my RM #, sent the package back requesting a signature of receipt. The company received the book on 11-18-07 and as of 12-12-07 I still am being told the refund is pending. What a rip!

ITV unauthorized credit card charges!

My wife ordered the Kevin Trudeau weight loss book on 8/12. She was charged 14.95 for the book, 9.95 for shipping and 9.95 for express shipping. Here are the complaints:

1. The book cost 14.95 and the shipping cost more than the book.

2. The book was ordered on 8/12 and was delivered by UPS on 8/28. 16 days after the order. Is that express?

3. We want to return the book and cannot contact customer service. We want all our monies back.

4. On 9/13 we were charged $19.90 on our credit card from ITV which was not authorized and had to report it to our bank which is investigating.

Beware people!

I hate to burst your bubbles, but alot of the complaints against ITV Ventures are true. I was an IBO a number of months back. When you sign up, you pay the $498.00 for joining. There's an ongoing monthly charge thereafter of another $90 for training and to be able to take calls. What they intentionally leave out is that you will need to continue (often) to replenish the kitty in order to take calls. Bottom line, you do pay $5-25 per call. They're really smart. They make this business walk and talk like a duck, but it's not a duck. It's a scam. Yes, I did make a little income, but my expenses far outweighed the income. The person above is right. It's more about getting people in the business. The product calls (which are far and few between) are the hook point. It looks legit, and not like other MLM's out there, but it's not. It's just a fresh new way of packaging a scam. You're better off buying into a franchise that's well know. I've learned my lesson. If it sounds too good to be true, it is!

ITV and Kevin Trudeau are thieves. I ordered three books in March 2007 after watching Kevin's informercial. I authorized a one-time charge (that included S&H) to my credit card for the books. I was adamant about not being charged for, or receiving anything other than the books. (I believe the call was taped so there should be a record.) ITV billed unauthorized charges to my credit card from April to November 2007, for a Newsletter that I did not request.

I contacted my credit card company to dispute the charges. To make a long story short, the cardholder service supervisor said that I was "ignorant," and there was nothing the bank could do, because I did not contact them sooner. Needless to say, I have cancelled my credit card, which was in good standing prior to ordering Kevin Trudeau's books, via ITV.

Buyer Beware!

I cannot get through to the billing department to cancel whatever service I am being billed 9.95 per month for? I never signed up for anything, nor did I consent to anything to be charged to my account!

I am reporting my complaint to the better business bureau, also the federal trade commision, and my credit card company. There has to be a way to cancel these charges?

I have now read NUMEROUS complaints against Kevin Trudeau (by customers) including sanctions made on him by the U.S. government Federal Trade commission for reckless and false advertising. The FTC reports that Kevin Trudeau has been manufacturing some of the products he proclaims to be cures in his books. It's no wonder the books are free. He has been required to pay fines of at least $500,000 and keep an escrow account for reimbursement for future claims against him. See website, "Quackwatch." I remember when he was on QVC or another home shopping network for Atkins products. I almost made the purchase today..the customer service person told me the books were excellent. I asked if she had read them. She said no d/t time constraints but that she will be...I had read the book a little in the Health food store and wasn't too impressed...but the infomercial was soooo mesmerizing. After giving her my credit card number, my gut told me not to do it. And now from this website, I have learned that the customer service rep has been charged anywhere from $5-25 for my call. This is outrageous. There are so many complaints on being overcharged repeatedly on so many complaint websites against Kevin Trudeau. Many of the customers are disabled and on fixed incomes. It seems like this is the true All American Scam. It's Barnum and Bailey's, "a sucker born every minute," approach. Kevin Trudeau seems to be hitting us where it hurts~our worries and concerns over our health issues. And it seems like he knows every loophole in business law in the book...when he gets caught on one thing, he goes in for the kill through another way. Buyer Beware. Very Aware...

First off, the ITV products cannot all be found at lower prices in health stores. The only product you may find is Sea Vegg.
Secondly, I work for ITV and have found the company to be extremely professional.

The complainers need to realize just how new and revolutionary this home business concept is. You can start a business at home taking live calls from TV viewers who call in to order products.

We have only been taking live calls for 6 months! The company is great, the business model is unique , and the concept works. I am accumulating new customers every week and building residual income. Get ready for this company to explode.

On the ITV plug for his book on Weight Loss, he says all you have to do is get this one thing over the counter. It doesn't even mention anything over the counter, it talks about high dollar shots. If Hollywood people are doing it, then why do most of them lose by diet and exercise. They could afford this miracle cure. I saw the original book after and he endorsed coconut oil, Digestive enzymes, vinegar, and yerba mate tea. So what's the 1 thing over the counter that is suppose to work. He originally endorsed Atkins and now all these other products which he is getting a kick back from or he wouldn't be able to mention them in his books. What a millionaire from fraud.

This is the scoop - ITV promises residual income taking inbound calls from home of products aired on their infomercials. The package that they push to purchase is $499 and does includes around 15 products that you are stuck with. A lot of these same products (different brand names) can be found at vitamin/health stores at a lower price, by the way. Then you are placed on a monthly auto shipment of $129/mo + S/H + tax. It's quite expensive. This includes their so-called training cd's and more products. Then it is $59/mo. to take the inbound calls and around $20-25 per call credit. ITV touts this program as "simple," and "anyone can do it." You do need to have a good amount of sale experience to do this, so that is a lie right there. Additionally, you cannot schedule the shows, only the business opportunities, unless you would like to wake up at 2 a.m. and take calls. Most of the schedule is the biz opportunity. When taking calls, if a caller is not interested or doesn't have the money (the product prices ARE NOT displayed on the shows) then you lose your call credit. Hang-up and prank calls and Canadian calls are all eligible for call credit refunds, however; ITV completely ignored about $100 worth of call credits after I repeatedly submitted requests. There are numerous technical difficulties and inferior customer service. ITV claims it works alongside its "business owners", however, they are not supportive and in fact quite rude when you call in for help. Bottom line, there are plenty of other opportunities out there to take advantage of. And yes, ITV is an MLM, even though they say that that is just a component of the business. You are pressured to sign up new IBO's and on their adverts they claim you don't have to do this. Stay away from ITV!

Beware!

ITV is a SCAM!

They proclaim that you can sit at home and answer incoming orders at your own time and convenience.

What a bunch of bull.

First-off you have to PAY for the incoming calls ($5-25) per call. Then after you've deposited hundreds of dollars in the account in order to receive the calls, you can't even schedule the time to receive the calls.

In other words, YOU CAN"T ANSWER INCOMING CALLS for their products! The only time available for answering incoming calls is to PUSH THE BUSINESS of signing up new IBO'S or Individual Business Owners.

There is no residual income possible if sll you're doing is signing up other order takers that can't take orders!

I ordered the rice n shine product from itv ventures. I too, paid for express shipping, yet it took five weeks to get here. I then discovered that they put me on auto-ship; for which I did not sign up for. Because of that I received a bounce check charge from my bank (I only keep a small amount of money in that account for certain things). I finally got a hold of 'customer service' - got a reference no. sent it back--they have their product back, and I still have not been refunded after 5 weeks. I also think they owe me $29.00 for the bounce check charge. I have ordered other products, such as think and lose (which has amazing customer service) without any problem.

Beware people!

ITV entirely fraudulent business

Product was not what the infomercial lead me to believe. When placing my order the operator asked if I would like the order expedited to be received in 3-5 business days for an additional $9.95. I said yes. Then I actually received the product in 11 business days. So, I feel I was mislead on that point as well. The book came with instructions for their return policy and stated do not return product w/out an RA number. It included the cust. service number and hours of operation. When I called they were not open during the hours they listed on their instructions and the message states completely different hours of operation. I called back when they were open for business and waited many times for a representative to help me and no one picks up to help. I finally called from my cell phone so I could continue working and decided to wait as long as it took (this way I could see exactly how many minutes I was waiting on hold for help, it was 23.2 minutes) some one answered and said they had an extremely high call volume and that a representative would return my call within 24 hours with my requested RA number. It has now been 28 hours and of course no one has returned my call. I believe this business to be entirely fraudulent and they should not be allowed to benefit financially from trusting folks such as myself. I listed 4 specific incidences where they have either flat out lied or at the very least misrepresented their company. They need to be investigated!

The item regarding the XL bully dogs. Had no one notice the head harness was covering the poor dogs eyes. Clearly it was put on incorrectly by its “responsible owner” neither Richard , suzanna or the floor staff picked up on this! Poor poor dog.

Yet itv continues to show images of the same dog and its badly fitting harness on the News really!

Comments made about Nigel Farages shower in the jungle. Her derogatory & ageist remarks are the kind that she would have been quick to call out if they’d been made by a man. This smacks of double standards & not very professional

I assume you support the wearing of a look-a-like Palestinian scarf by your reporter (Young) in Gaza. Should your cover of news events be non-partisan? Clearly the wearing of Hamas/Palestinian look-a-like garb is not unbiased reporting.

Friday the 9th September 2023. 19.45pm to 2020pm

Finally after half an hour, itvx loaded so as I could watch my chosen programme.

No doubt I will have the same problem when I want to watch another episode

It's really about time that this problem was sorted out...you advertise these programmes and yet it either buffers or freezes

Why does the news have to mention Emmerdale. It is quite unnecessary as I am sure those who watch it regularly know it is on after the news. Infuriating!

As you covered this UNICEFT CARITY soccer match and gave it good time, I was shocked to fine the female presenters were dressed for a night out rather than a charity soccer match. The charity shirt would have been more appropriate.

I found this very inappropriate
