Jagex Runescape update(s)

To whom it may concern,

I've been a regular customer of jagex for awhile, I've been a member for 2-4 months at least. I left runescape for a little while, and when I came back alot has changed. Part of this update was that players can no longer drop trade.. I personally Thank You for that, because lvl 3 merchants who only plays the game for the sole purpose of becoming the "richest" player, since I thought it was a role-play lifestyle choice, is not anymore. I found out that after long hours spent training my mining, woodcutting, fletching, fishing skills to gain money, I cant even make a profit anymore because of the so called "trade amount limit"- I'm very disappointed. I was happy becoming a member now and then, so i can find customers to sell my hard earned items, but now.. I cant even do that.

what happened to choice? arent players free to be warriors? to be wizards? to be miners? woodcutters? fishers? - now we have no choice but to fight and gain quest points just so that we can trade higher amounts of items and make money.

Again, good job on the "drop trade" update.. but you seriously killed off my lvl 3 merchant. Its freakin useless. I used to mine runite ore in the wild at lvl 3 so i can sell them for 10k each, I cant even do that without proper quest points.

So to whoever thought at this "trade limit" idea was a good one.. You're an idiot. plain and simple. I love runescape, but that one particular update is a pain in the ###.

Jagex Ridicoulas 1 day ban

I am a long time player of runescape and i was appauled to find out that jagex listens in to my clan chat while i understand why swearing publicaly should be punished, however, i do not see how it can be offencive when i am talking PRIVATELY to my friends on a PRIVATE talk. This is an utterly useless rule especially as the swearword itself was not even spelled properly!

This is a redicoulas rule yes but i still would not complain if i could at least try to fight this and get my account un muted but as i am a gree level player i cannot even do that!

Again this is still not so bad, i can wait a day and go back on after registering a complaint (like this one) but instead of being able to go streight from runscape hompage i had to search the internet to find it, so at the VERY, VERY, VERY least you could put a link to this on runescape!

As you will no doubt be wondering "you say this but you probally dont have a solution" i would like to say that i do have a solution: have an option on the clan chat that makes a message appear to thouse entering the chat "you are entering a chat that may contain offencive language in it, do you wish to continue?" or something like that.

Jagex has the right to listen to your "private talks" you could be plotting anything as that would mean to Jagex. If you want to talk freely then try Windows Live Messenger or Yahoo Messenger and even if you misspell the word it still counts as an offense don't even try to say an offensive word. Jagex tries to keep the game safe and fun for everyone to enjoy.

Jagex Unauthorized charge and denial of it

Ordered two month subscription, runescape or "it comes up Jagex ltd. on my bank statement, charged me the 12.00 for two months and also a 61.09 charge for which I still have no idea what for since they are denying the 61.09 charge completely and I even obtained proof from my bank, attached it in the e-mail to them, and they still deny it ever happened. Horrible Company! Parents better beware! They should be sued, I'm betting there are more out there since there is literally millions playing. Please if there are any more that are out there, let's get together and start a class action lawsuit against them. They should NOT be allowed to even exist with these kinds of scams.

I have made a new account on runescape because i havent played it in a while and so many things have changed, so i decided i want to give all my money 800k to my new account so i did and that worked, then i changed my mind and decided i would tranfser it back to my old account but it didnt work it said there is a 25k limit. so i researched that problem and i heard of a way of bypassing that which was to get killed so when i drop it my other account can pick it up. i tryed that and i only left 25k behind and lost all the rest. Im so furious, Im also sure that many other players of the game hate this 25k limit rule espiecally if its the same scenario as mine where i want to tranfer stuff from my own accounts. If there is anyway you could fix this problem for me and possibly give me my '###' back please email me.

i would like 2 know why my account has been banned. I was playing in a normal browser (chrome) and suddenly logged me out it had happened earlier and I didn't know why it did so i logged back in, and now i am permanently banned and i was doing really well. if you would like to discuss more about this the i suggest you should unban me. Also when i click show evidence it wont load so i am assuming this was a mistake and it better be because i enjoy playing runescape as it adds a fantasy world in my imagination with witches wizards warlocks warriors etc... Finally i would like you to please fix this and soon as i would like to play along side saradomin against zamarok.

Jagex has the word gay listed as a swearword. I understand that there are many players in runescape who are young and may use the term offensively, however there are many other words which you can get away with. For instance, dam, shut up, ### and any combinations with ###, butt and any combinations of butt.

The list is extensive. Is banning the word gay in any way of teaching people about tolerance and understanding? I understand completely the need to stop offensive material, yet this seems totally out of proportion. I am aware that many people use the word gay to mean bad or stupid when referring to someone else, but banning the word sets up in children's minds that they shouldn't use that word in much the same way that some people refrain from saying black to refer to african americans/englishmen etc.

I have attempted to contact Jagex and runescape through customer support, asking why they feel they need to ban the word gay as well as explaining why I feel it is more damaging to have it listed as a swearword, yet nothing has come back.

In the general sense the word gay is not offensive. I strongly hope that the many young players will not register this ban subconsciously, and be nervous to speak about the ranges of sexuality that our society today accepts.

Jagex Poor service

I was playing Runescape when some idiot was going around saying that Runescape 3 was out. (How many other fans are being suckered into going here too! I, being a real fan of Runescape, went to find it at Runescape3.eu. Shortly after this, I realised my account was trying to be hacked, so Jagex Runescape decided to lock my account. I filed all the necessary appeals needed to prove who I was and all my recovery questions needed. I was then told to wait 3 days for approval. I did and so far nothing has happened and it looks like I have to appeal from the start again with yet another repetition of all my recovery questions again! In the meantime, I am paying for an account that I cannot use. Also, if someone else has hacked my account, they would not know my recovery questions would they!? They might just be dropping all of my things for someone else to pick up! What the ###! What brainbox is running this show? Helloooooo, if I know my recovery questions, then I am the real owner!

i have had my account locked and my password changed and also a pin attached to my runescape bank all in a week i did not do this and i would like to know who has done this as a runescape member i feel that it would be courtiess of yourselves to invesigate this as i may know who is doing this and all our probs could be solved

Jagex Stupid new updates

Runescapes errorto try to make it fun for us
I used to play runescape until it got banned for people hacking my account and swearing on it. Also now it is permenantly banned.

Now i have started playing it again and the stupid 3k tradeing rule has just made stupid for everyone. Now you cant even make a profit. All people want is either a maybe 20k tradeing diffrence of no tradin diffrence but still keep the pricing so people cant get scammed that much.

If they do follow up my complaint please could you ask them to eamil me.

I've been playing runescape for about half a year.Runescape is getting gayer and gayer.Jagex workers, changed the health, weapon, trading limit updates back the way they used to.I say this for everybody when I say u guys are really gay.

Jagex Fraud and scam

Okay this is a total load of bull! My account axis10045 has had a few bad runs with breaking the rules. I admit that It's my fault that I was wreckless in how i behaved. And after around 9 months, I had 5.7 black marks. Okay well today when i logged in, i was branded a racist by a random person (believe me i am not racist). Anyway 4 hours later i log in... and BAM! permanent mute!. I was like OMFG! So i went to check what i did wrong, then i gasped! my black marks rose by an entire 10! i had 15.7 black marks! I was like "oh my bloody god!" It was so unfair. Since when does 1 report give you a perm mute and 10 black marks? hell! my account will be banned (very ikely) by tomorrow as i am over the 10 blk mark limit. I have been forced to end my membership subscription and although probably in vain, appeal the offense. I am really mad as this is my main account.

Jagex Bad business practices

Fu* jagex - do not let your kids play runescape! They will take your child's money like they did to mine and ban you for no reason what so ever. One huge scam! No service, automatic responses. Banned because my brothers account name was "anice luver1" - anice being his girlfriend.

My brother bought a full years membership for $55 usd, they banned him 12 hrs later and kept the money. Parent be aware, by jagex not having customer service they can ban your childs account and keep your money with out any further notice!

Do not trust jagex!

I've been banned for "macroing, " which I don't even know how to do. Jagex conveniently provides no evidence, so you're guilty just because they say so, and you have no opportunity to appeal. The "appeal" page is bogus - they never pay any attention to it. They do not refund your money, they lie, they insult your intelligence -- they have the worst customer service I've ever encountered. Do yourself a favor and don't buy a membership. I was a loyal customer for 4 years and they screwed me.

I got banned too they claimed I was macroing but I haven't been able to play because of computer problems. kind of hard to macro without a computer. Clearly they ban randomly with cause or evidence.

I payed for membership, and two days later they locked the account because they "have evidence" that someone is using my account, yet whenever i log in, it ALWAYS shows MY ip address...the account has been locked for a week now and the appeal is still "pending" their bull ### customer service is costing them their customers and soon enough they will go bank rupt. can't wait to see the day. Did i mention that my account is a member? the appeals should be faster for members -.- I won't be issued any credit for the time my account was locked...

Jagex Family matter

This is the only way I can speak to my brother sence I am in foster care. For the last 24 hours or more I have been permently muted. Sence thin I have not been able to speak to my brother. He trys to talk to me but thinks something is wrong sence I dont and cant answer back. I know now that I have broken some rules. But did not know anything about how to appolgise or the importance of the appeal. My brother is my life. Hes all I have dont take that away from me. I beg u.

Exactly and jagex will suffer for ruining their game. If you want justice go on the runescape home page and look at the players during peak hours. its down to 100, 000 now. before all the updates it was 3-4 million. Way to go Jagex by ruining your game. A fast fact for any Jagex member viewing this. : Real World Trading was the only thing keeping your game alive. Congratz on destroying it.

jagex changed everything ok i no i said change the tutoral but i meant also u let ppl talk because i want to talk to other ppl when i make new accs.but NO u just had to say no dont let them talk it idk bad or something!
all i ask is that u let us talk when we make other accounts or im oing to tell everyone tht is a member on runescape to not play ruunescape anymore

Jagex Scam and cheating

My son plays the game bought some items to assist with playing the game, oh the company changed hands and they will not supply us with the $80 of items he bought but gave a discount of 25% on other items ($65). he then bought more $65. Then on friday march 17th all the items he had bought were gone and they will not give a reason. They said someone must of got his password and took them. They could of been the ones that took it in 3 weeks he spend over $200 and it is all gone and they will not help. What a big ripoff, so beware.

They are NOT entitled to give you your money back. You purchased the subscription without checking out to see if your computer would be able to run the game. Everyone else who plays Runescape has a computer that can handle the very small requirements. Go to another computer to play the game, otherwise you are not getting any money back.

Jagex Scam and stolen account!

Ok so here's the deal, My account was stolen because someone somehow has gotten a hold of my transaction receipt's I am believing that they have to know my email password I am guessing maybe I have a keylogger program on my pc, but that isn't the problem see the problem is for one I can not receive my account back fully because I can not contact this company I am a UNITED STATS based player of a UNITED KINGDOM based game I should of known there was a problem before i started, so anyways to the problem the account of mine is no longer in my hands but they are still withdrawing money from my credit card? Ok I have had enough I have spent over 50 dollars trying to contact this company every number a place gives me to call either gives me another number to call or says they have nothing to do with jagex, ok so i finally got the actual jagex number wow and yes i have it i have supplied it and so every knows it please look 0022-[protected] that is the true jagex number call it see what they have to say about you're problem. That's right an automated voice message machine that says they don't receive phone calls. Ok so you don't receive phone calls and you don't send email's back, so here's my question do you receive lawsuit's? A 100 million dollar company can not afford a business phone for problem's like this? Any help would be nice.

I was permanently muted on my account for no reason, but other players continue to say things like "kill yourself" in the game with no repercussions. They haven't shown me any proof as to why I'm muted, but continue to allow players to say other things without any consequences.

They keep your card on file even after removing it from their systems. If you don't stop automatical renewal of membership their system will re-add and charge ur card again. They will do anything to keep charging ur card

I've reached out to CS multiple times but have not been able to get any traction at my account to be looked at. The account was quickly banned which makes me think it was an automatic system ban. I've spent money on Membership and feel my account was unfairly banned.

Payments to Jagex will be for one of our online games such as RuneScape or Old School RuneScape. Players can make payments either to purchase membership for our games, or to buy virtual currency to spend within them.

To investigate further please reply with as much of the following information. This information will only be used to identify the specific payments being charged to your card. Rest assured we will not require the full card number, nor any security information such as the CVV code.

The information we need is:

• The first six digits

• The last four digits

• The expiry date

For example: 1234 56xx xxxx 7890 MM/YY

With this information we can find any payments being charged to your card and investigate further.
