I bought a car from Jenkins Hyundai Of Ocala on 5/30/22
I bought a car from Jenkins Hyundai Of Ocala on 5/30/22. I had a leased Acura and some cash, and Hyundai was supposed to pay off my old vehicle. However, Hyundai took 14 days to pay off the vehicle, which caused the buyout price to increase by $374.50. Acura started collecting money from me, but Hyundai claimed it was my problem with Acura. To protect my credit report, I had to pay Acura on the last possible day, 7/9, hoping that Hyundai would eventually pay. Unfortunately, Acura marked me as a late payment, and it negatively affected my credit score by 100 points. I've tried reaching out to the GM of the dealership through several visits and emails, but I haven't received any reply. In my opinion, it seems like they are trying to take advantage of a senior citizen.
On their website, they say you can get a $25 Amazon gift card if you come in for a test drive
On their website, they say you can get a $25 Amazon gift card if you come in for a test drive. So, in the third week of December, me and my family went to the dealer after making an appointment online. When we were there, I gave them the form they needed to give us the gift card. After a week, I asked Jason ***, the business manager, about the status of the gift card. He said, "I forwarded your email to Erin, our Internet manager, and she will process your $25 gift card. I appreciate your feedback about our salespeople, and we will keep training them to make our customers happier. Thanks, and happy holidays, Jason ***." But even after that, I sent many emails, and I still haven't received the gift card up until today.
I had a bad experience with the folks at Jenkins Hyundai Of Ocala, especially Barry
I had a bad experience with the folks at Jenkins Hyundai Of Ocala, especially Barry. They were really pushy and made me feel uncomfortable. I bought a new car from them in August , and when I went in for an oil change, they kept trying to pressure me into buying another car or leasing one. I kept saying no, but they wouldn't give me my car back. Barry kept insisting that I didn't understand what a great deal he was offering. After almost 4 hours, I finally gave in just so I could leave. But then, 20 minutes later, I called them back and said I changed my mind. I just wanted my car back. When I went to pick it up, they treated me poorly, disrespected me, and even insulted me. I feel like they discriminated against me because I'm an older woman.

So I took my SUV to Jenkins Hyundai Of Ocala for a fuel tank warranty
So I took my SUV to Jenkins Hyundai Of Ocala for a fuel tank warranty. My car, which is from up north, has some rust issues. They told me that only the blank tank is covered under the warranty, so I would have to pay for any other parts on the tank. I was also informed that if they had to order all the parts and use them, it would cost me a whopping $1500.
After waiting for 4 weeks, I stopped by to check on my car with the technician. We noticed that the filler neck wasn't in bad condition, and I had already mentioned that the fuel pump had been changed about 2 years ago.
When I finally went to pick up my car after 4 weeks, I was shocked to see a bill of over $1500. Not all the parts were used, only the small stuff, along with the filler neck and fuel pump that we had discussed and taken pictures of. These two parts alone made up 2/3 of the total bill.
To make matters worse, this was supposed to be a warranty job, but they still charged me $400 for labor. I'm definitely going to check with the ComplaintsBoard.com and then contact the Attorney General. This whole experience has been frustrating and disappointing.
On Sunday 9/11/2022 me and my hubby went to Jenkins Hyundai Ocala to buy a 2017 Hyundai sonata
On Sunday 9/11/2022 me and my hubby went to Jenkins Hyundai Ocala to buy a 2017 Hyundai sonata. We took the car for a spin, signed the papers, had our credit checked, and were told the car is ours. The next day we came back to drop off our old car and get our Hyundai, but they said it was already sold and someone was coming to get it. The manager tried to explain that their computer messed up the VIN/stock # (like, how did they not notice it was still on the lot for a whole week after it was "sold"?). They offered us a really rude replacement car instead.
Re: HYUNDAI MOTORS - REIMBURSEMENT REQUEST FOR $1328.23 PLUS 6 MONTHS INTEREST My engine issue
Re: HYUNDAI MOTORS - REQUEST FOR $1328.23 REIMBURSEMENT PLUS INTEREST FOR 6 MONTHS My engine was replaced by Hyundai in March . Jenkins informed me that a complimentary vehicle wasn't an option; instead, I had to rent one and await reimbursement. I followed their instructions, submitted all necessary documents to Hyundai Reimbursement, and have been persistently contacting them bi-weekly to reclaim my expenses. Despite their assurances, I've yet to receive any compensation after 6 months. I'm also dissatisfied with Jenkins, as my attempts to reach their supervisor have been ignored. Moreover, their refusal to provide a courtesy car was disappointing, especially since other dealerships did offer one to their customers. I'm hoping for a resolution to recover the funds owed to me.
On 2/26, I talked to a salesperson named Alison M*** about wanting to buy a Hyundai Palisade Limited at Jenkins Hyundai Of Ocala
On 2/26, I talked to a salesperson named Alison M about wanting to buy a Hyundai Palisade Limited at Jenkins Hyundai Of Ocala. We had a phone call and exchanged a bunch of text messages. Alison said that she got approval from the GM to sell me the car for MSRP + 2,000 + tax + tag. We even had it in writing in our text messages. She encouraged me to come all the way from Winter Garden, FL to Ocala, FL to check out the car and discuss my trade-in. Alison texted me saying, "If we can't agree on the numbers you want, we'll pay for your gas for the trip...". So, I made the 62-mile journey (124 miles round trip) and met Alison, who then introduced me to another person named Tierney. It took Tierney about an hour to get the car ready for a test drive, and then another half hour to prepare some financial information for me to review. When I looked at the financials, I was shocked to see that the prices were thousands of dollars higher than what Alison and I had discussed. On top of that, the dealer only wanted to give me $3,000 for my trade-in, a 2011 Toyota Sienna with 94,000 miles (I ended up selling it to CarMax the next day for $11,400). When I expressed my surprise about the difference, Tierney, the guy I was talking to about the finances, became rude and disrespectful. He gave me back my keys and told me to have a nice day. So, I drove back home and later that evening, I reached out to ask about the promised gas compensation for the 124-mile round trip. They ignored me for 3 days until I mentioned involving the ComplaintsBoard.com. Finally, they responded and said I wouldn't get a check, but I should have asked them to fill up my tank at their gas pump. That doesn't make sense because it's a round trip, so I would have only gotten half of what I used. I expect them to send me a check for the 124-mile round trip's worth of gas.
My hubby and I went on vacay and got back on June 3
My hubby and I went on vacay and got back on June 3. There was a real strong smell of gas comin' from the garage where my 2017 Hyundai Santa Fe was. My hubby took the car straight to Jenkins Hyundai in Ocala. On the way there, the check engine light came on. They told my hubby it was a fuel leak and had the car for over a week and a half for fixin'. They charged us almost $800 on August 11. Then, I noticed a real strong gas smell from the 2017 Hyundai Santa Fe. My hubby took it back to Hyundai and they said they couldn't find any problems. They suggested droppin' the gas tank, which would've cost $2000. While my hubby was waitin' at Hyundai, I looked up recalls for a 2017 Hyundai Santa Fe. I found a service bulletin sayin' that any vehicle, new or used, that came in for service should have the gas cap checked 'cause there was a problem with the gas cap sealin' right on that vehicle. I sent my hubby the bulletin info while he was at Hyundai. The bulletin said a diagnostic check should be done and there were two codes that would come up showin' it was the gas. My hubby asked the service advisor what codes came up when they did the diagnostics the first time. The service advisor said there were no codes, it was just a visual inspection. My hubby tightened the gas cap on August 11 and the smell hasn't come back since. We've been tryin' to contact the owner, the general manager, and the service manager, but they keep givin' us the runaround. We want our money back 'cause we think it was just the gas cap and there was no problem with the fuel line. The service manager gave my hubby the number to the warranty department and after two weeks of playin' phone tag, I finally got through on Friday. He said he didn't know why we were given his number 'cause that was just for the dealership.
I went to their dealership for a free alignment
I went to their dealership for a free alignment. Their employee, Francheska, told me I could come back and get it because of the recall repair. On 4/29, I went to the service center to get the recall issue fixed. They gave me a quote for some services my car needed. I told Francheska that I couldn't afford those services or the tires. I said I would go to a used tire place instead. She said I could get the tires elsewhere and still come back for the FREE alignment because of the recall repair. I asked if I could still get it without the other services, and she said yes. Later, I made an appointment and explained the situation over the phone. The person I spoke to didn't give me their name but said they would honor what Francheska told me, even though she was fired. I asked them to make sure it was correct because I lived over an hour away. They said to bring the paperwork for the recall repair, and they would honor it. On the day of my appointment, 5/20, I arrived at the dealership and they said they wouldn't honor what Francheska said because she was fired. I asked to speak to the service manager, and he said he wouldn't honor it. When I asked to speak to the owner, he said, "He's out on a yacht. He's never here. We work and he sits out on his yacht." So they wouldn't let me contact the owner. The man was really rude, he kept interrupting me even though I asked him to let me speak. He said if I went to Publix and an employee promised me steak and I came back the next day, they would never give me the steak. I don't see how that's the same when this is about an expensive repair I can't afford. I feel like he was being prejudiced against me because I'm low income. He literally said, "How would doing this for free benefit us? It wouldn't. So why would we do that?" I can't believe how they treat their customers. Also, many employees didn't have their faces fully covered to avoid corona exposure, and the guy handling my car wasn't wearing a mask or gloves. I have someone at home who is immunocompromised and could die if they get the coronavirus. I'm shocked and will never buy another Hyundai car. I wouldn't recommend anyone else to do so either because they teach their employees to lie to customers about free service, only to make them pay when they show up.
