This place is terrible... No such thing as quality control... Do not shop here. Bought bedset pieces and was promised 1-2 week delivery and came after a month. Not only did it arrive late, it came damaged! The manager khan kept denying pieces were not damaged and had the audacity to say that no furniture is supposed to be in perfect condition... If I order furniture I expect to be brand new. Why would I order a broken bed? When you sold it to me, you were so quick to sell but when it comes to delivering products you send me damaged products. Before they deliver the items they dont even check if its in good condition.. They deceive you at the store and once youve paid, they dont care about you. My bedset arrived cracked and broken dents everywhere. I didnt ask for refurbished furniture.. These were new pieces I bought for my new home. Really disgusted with the quality and customer service/ care received. After sending multiple pictures of damaged set received, he didn't even apologize for the inconvenience. Three deliveries were made for this one order and each time there was mistakes. Really disappointing customer treatment. If I had known I would've saved my money and went elsewhere. Not one apology for the inconvenience that I went through. I hope someone reads this review before purchasing blindly like I did.

Around 2021 It started peeling everywhere, oh I then contacted guardsmen warranty and they told me that they do not cover peeling of the furniture it's a defect and for me to contact Jennifer Convertible. I am very disappointed after recommending Jennifer Convertible to my friends, coworkers and family. I spent approximately $2400 and have furniture peeling on me, Even In the areas where Anyone Rarely sits. It's peeling in the seams on the headrest and the seats. I purchased a sofa & loveseat from jennifer convertibles brooklyn location on 7/2016. As of late 2019 my sofa started to peel. As stated on my receipt the sofa & loveseat is supposed to be 100% leather. Genuine leather doesn't peel. Jennifer convertibles fraudulently represented their furniture. I contacted store which was closed down and warranty dept to avail.

I called for repair of a Sofa back in march and it was investigated and by the techinician from Jennifer convertibles. They then said that it would be cover by the Guardsman insurance. Bought a sectional in Dec 2017. They came to replace left arm of sectional but did a poor job. I then called Guardsman and they don't cover the repair saying it is stress. How they know it's a stress tear I have no idea without seeing it.
I went to Jennifer Furniture and was told by them that after 1 year the repair is not covered despite that it was done poorly.
So in effect, they repaired a bad situation and actually made it worse plus they won't fix it and Guardsman doesn't want to know anything about it.
The couch itself is actually not used that much at all since only 2 of us live in our house at this point and rarely if ever sit in the living room. It is wearing really poorly after only 3 years of ownership.

We have no children living in our home. We called back in december 2018 and complained of the same problems on both pieces of furniture. "the seats had collapsed and sitting down destroyed my wife's back. More importantly we have had no parties nor guests in our home"
jennifer referred us to guardsman which complaint could only be processed on line. 2 months later a technician showed up to our home and agreed that the cushions and support were indeed defective.
Now after waiting over 2 weeks for a call back, i reached out to guardsman.
I was told that the report said all ok? i asked for supervisor and as usual they gave me another telephone contact after 29 mins a man got on the phone and stated; "the store did not included defects in the support of the cushions so no one is responsible.
My suggestion never purchase from jennifer convertibles nor a guarantee from guardsman.
Both will be sue in nassau county courts and reported to newsday and the bbb.
delivery and set up of my furniture
My name is Quanisha Cuffey of 118-01 201st Place St. Albans NY 11412 and on 3-31-19 I purchased a precision queen bed, Mattress, dresser and chest order #2917. Mike Perez the general manager sold me this bed and set up delivery for 4-16-19. The delivery arrived without the proper amount of screws. They left and my bed was not assembled. I called the store and was told that I would have to wait till Monday leaving me with no bed to sleep on. Mr. Perez who at this point was very passive and showed no care for the matter only stating that there was nothing he could do. I had to stay in a hotel until I could make arrangements to find a place to sleep at during this horrible experience. It is Monday and I called the store and spoke to mr Perez who was very sarcastic stating "it's only 11am I told you I would call you" he also stated in a very condescending manner the warehouse is aware of it and that he would call me by 3pm. I am very displeased with the service and treatment in which I have received due to a mistake on your company's behalf. I would definitely like some kind of reimbursement for this major inconvenience and experience that your employees have put me through. Your response and actions in this matter will be greatly appreciated.
sleeper sofa and loveseat
This set was given to me by my children less than 2 years ago and it is literally falling apart. I've tried switching pillow positions, etc. which is difficult because the fabric doesn't go around the entire pillow. The furniture pieces are obviously "caving " and the fabric disintegrating! I purchased a queen size foam mattress for my Jennifer Convertible sofa which has a queen size air mattress that no longer worked The salesman Ben# 6374 sold the foam mattress to me I told him that it was for the large sleeper three seater . I explained that the current air mattress was about 54 inches wide and the standard length about 71. It was delivered on July 11 2018 it was purchased on July 5. The total coast was 402.85 which included a 70.00 delivery charge. The Mattress DOES NOT fit .I called the store to get a mattress that fit The salesman said he had to charge another 70 .oo . All I want is a mattress that fits 55 inches so I can use it. The store was unable to help at all they just wanted 140.00 70 for pick up and 70 for delivery not fair it's unbelievable how the store wants me to pay for delivery again

Last year my husband and I, in preparation for furnishing our home in the next 1-2 years, applied for a Jennifer Convertibles credit card. I did not plan to use it until summer 2018, but we wanted to open the card up in order to plan our budget.
Without notice, our credit card was closed due to inactivity. The customer service rep told me that the bank is here to make money and that it's not illegal to close my account without notice.
1. Duh! Of course you want to make money...and you were about to since we were shopping for a new bedroom set in August. But since you did not give me the courtesy of a phone call or letter, I did not have a chance to let you know.
2. Wow! So because it's not illegal it makes it right? What about customer service? Our credit score went down a couple of points because closing the card changed our credit utilization ratio. But you don't care about that, huh?
Jennifer Convertibles is in business with a terrible bank: Synchrony. I will never EVER shop there. And I will make sure to tell everyone I know how shady their business dealings are.

Ashleegh 4 piece Chelsea Lounge Set.
I was promised the order to be delivered in 3 weeks. It still has not arrived.
When I call the store salespeople such as Charlie are rude and does not pass on messages.
Different and contradictory excuses such as a back order which I am not informed about are given.
Cynthia the manager assured me the set was on the truck on Sunday 15 April and I could get order by Friday 20 April. I have arranged to be home and have had no confirmation of delivery.
I have called customer care and given the number of the area manager. Number [protected] Ext 5202. There is only an answer phone. The names of the manager as given by Customer Services changes for example Mr. Atta or Hussein. I left a message on 4/12 and have had no reply. I left another message and no response.
I ordered a recliner and it's order was also delayed.
I am very upset about this very poor service from Jennifer Convertibles. I had heard about them when I lived in South Africa and was so looking forward to my purchase.

I ordered furniture in november it was delivered december 9th and the delivery drivers damaged the sofa and table. I had no furniture so I needed to keep the damaged goods. I was told that they would be repaired or replaced. Today is march 24th and I am still waiting on a replacement table and someone from management to call me regarding a refund! This whole process has been unacceptable and I will never recommend jennifer convertibles!

On June 30, 2017, I purchased a convertible sofa after sitting on it in the showroom. The sofa arrived on September 12. The seat cushions are almost 3 inches thicker than the ones in the showroom and our feet don't touch the floor. I was told that it was because they had not been sat on like the showroom ones, which I knew was untrue, so I even brought the new one to the showroom and took pictures comparing them. Please see attached photos.
I was then told that perhaps the manufacturer added more cushion and that the change was within the design specifications.
After weeks of haggling over the phone with my requests to have them return the sofa and give me a refund, they said that they would send a service technician who would either fix the problem or provide them unbiased information to determine if they would have the sofa returned for a refund. They finally sent a service man on October 12. He told me that the cushions were definitely over 2 inches thicker and that if he took some padding out, the leather would crease and crack. When I called Jennifer back on October 18th, I was told that the service man wrote in his report that the cushions should be replaced with metal spring cushions. However, the manufacturer does not make metal spring cushions and so there is nothing that they will do for me and I just have to live with it.
So far, no one has sat on the sofa and it is totally useless to us. What's more, they were very nasty to me and hung up on me twice.

I just left your Milford store, I was there yesterday 10/7 and purchases a living room set, sofa and love seat and a wall unit. when I was going to thru the paperwork, I took the measurements on the living room that I had purchase, and it was to big for my living room. so 10/8 Sunday with 24 hours of the contract I went back to the store after I left church. spoke with the same salesperson I had yesterday explain the problem. I was going to change it to a smaller sofa set that I had also seen on the store. She was busy so I offer to wait. As I was waiting 1 hour I started to feel this numbness on my hand a weird sensation on my chest so I had to her to cancel the order that I will be back tomorrow. since I was going there tomorrow to purchase a mattress too. she said to me that she could not cancel my order. that she had put time and effort. I told her so did I. I had save the money to buy it cash. I told her what I was feeling and she tells me that she didn't feel good either. that I wanted it cancel within the time frame, and that I will be back tomorrow. she was upset and told her co-worker and to me in from of my grandson (13 years old) that now all of a sudden I was sick. Like I was lying. I did not appreciate how I was treated by her today. I told her I wanted the order cancel. she wrote something on the paper the time and 3 letter and cancel. I am not sure if this has been cancel she did not go into the computer at all. I am on my way to the walk in now. I am very upset with the sales person. that is no way to treat anyone. I did tell her I was going to the hospital and maybe she should too since she was not feeling well herself. I hope my order is cancel
sofa chemical used
I purchased a sofa from Jennifer Convertibles and received my order before Christmas which I was please with and the crew that did the delivery was very nice.
I had notices that there was some kind of chemical smell from the sofa that they used to treat the fabric. But I thought that the smell would go away so I aired out the room. The smell did get a little better. Here's the problem I can't sit on the sofa without getting an allergic reaction - running nose, burning eyes and sore throat.
So we called Jennifer CS and they said I waited too long and they cannot do anything. The reason why I waited was I didn't know my allergic reaction came from sitting on the sofa because normally I sit on a chair. So I tested it and sure enough it's the sofa. The chair did not come from Jennifers. The CS rep said to have the sofa cleaned. This sofa is brand new? I will never purchase from them again and will go to Consumers Complaints.

Publicpublished review 1/19/17 I called guardian initially within a week to submit my claim that was 10-10-2016. The girl on the other side said she is emailing me claims paperwork and also will mail the papers. I am still on the phone with her for 25 mins and no email has come through so she said it will take like 1 hour to get email as their system is slow. 2 weeks passed and no email or no postal mail 10-27-2016. I called again and spoke to a guy and before we finish the conversation I get the email.. I emailed them pictures and mailed them claim papers on time [protected]. (according to guardian you have to submit the claim within a week and the sales rep john at the jennifer convertibles on northern blvd flushing explained that guardian needs the claims paperwork submitted within a week and so I did.) I get an email after 4 weeks stating that they have received my paperwork but nothing mentioned about getting the pictures. Called guardian last week [protected] asking for an update and guardian says my claim was denied because they got the paperwork late. Guardian intentionally didn't send paperwork and email on time so they can deny claims and get away with consumers hard-earned money which jennifer convertibles trap their consumers in a very tricky dirty way of doing business to get extra cash from guardian.

I bought what was advertised as a leather sofa from a Jennifer Convertibles furniture store seven years ago. There was a one year guarantee. Within two years, the sofa started to peel, shedding pieces of "leather" on one's clothes and the carpet underneath. I called the store, which had closed, and then called their number for customer service several times, but was put on hold unattended literally for several hours. No one ever responded to my calls and messages. After this experience, I did some research to discover that many others have had the same experience. The sofas fraudulently advertised as "leather" were not in fact, leather, and would peel inevitably only after the one-year guarantee had expired. The materials were cheap and fraudulently advertised, the customer service awful, and as a consumer or an interior designer, one should never buy from this company. I give zero stars for this company. If you want to buy quality leather furniture, go to West Elm, Crate & Barrel, or Pottery Barn.

@Ellen 111 I am sorry you went through the same experience I did. I purchased an Entertainment Wall Unit and it came in deplorable condition. You are absolutely right about Khan. He is the WORST store manager I have ever dealt with. No customer skills whatsoever, rude, dishonest, and a liar. He told me the same thing about the furniture. "You should expect imperfections, and I don't understand why a few imperfections are the end of the world for you" Well, because this is a brand new piece of furniture. And forget about the store VP, Fred Cohen. Another piece of ... work. No wonder they both work for the same store!.
Hopefully people read this before they make a purchase here. HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE STORE!
