So I ordered a puppy training pad for large dog (see screen copy of the website) and I received this (see second pic). The training pad could hardly fit a Chihuahua. My dog is 7 months and large...
I consider the ad is deceitful, yet Jumia will not refund?
2700 Ksh sure are not worth a law suit but you should reconsider before losing a customer over your own mistakes.
The so-called training pad is unused and in its original box. Please take it back.

I ordered for an hair clipper with an order number [protected], mpds [protected]-6479 on the 6th of March, 2019 and it was delivered to me on 15th of March, 2019. When I wanted to use it the next day, 16th the clipper became very hot and the white cover melted before then the clipper couldn't cut even a strand of hair. I faced a fraud case last Friday the 8th of March at 9:49am from Jumia One Egypt and in spite submitting two complaints with more than four calls, they were all faced by full neglect from their end. What they only did is disabling my transactions' history tab, however they didn't know that I have already took screen-shots from everything once the fraud case took place.
When I got no response till today, I requested to be talking to a higher or a senior level person but they refused, so please accept my apology for sending you directly, but am sure that professional multinational entities working outside Egypt will handle my case on a high level of priority and will make sure that corrective actions will be taken to avoid recurrence, specially that the same incident happened more than once with different customers, where sample of Facebook posts supporting this could be presented if required.
Appreciate your kind attention to my case through directing this email to the concerned person/department within the group so they can ensure that Egypt team will deal with it in a proper way up to the severity of the case and based upon Jumia's Group security protection standards towards its customers and their data.

I purchased the above laptop from Jumia in January. Was advertised as new with new OS. Warranty one year and refund. Initial issue was an obvious scratch on the cover. Second issue was operating system crashing and not updating indicating not original.
Took the laptop back after I saw the scratch, was within 7 days. Convinced to take the laptop back by Jumia westlands branch. Told I could bring it back for a refund after 7days of purchase.
Issue with Operating system came next, took it back now demanding a refund as this is obviously a refurbished laptop and not new as advertised. Note by this time, the item is no longer on the app and the seller cannot be found on your app indicating you have removed them and suspect their authenticity.
At this point, I was told I would not get a refund and that the laptop had been repaired. We demanded a refund as what was sold was not what we thought we were buying.
This has been a headache to say the least as I have made trips (from work) to try and resolve this issue. I have requested to speak to a manager, but have yet to speak to any.
I was called today informed that the laptop is not in industrial area and if I don't claim it within 7days, you will re sell it, meaning my 42000 has effectively been stolen by Jumia and your sellers.
This is extremely disheartening to say the least. Needless to say, I will never shop with you. And am actively informing others of this.
I have also filed an official complaint with the consumer association and also with the Kenya consumer rights empowerment forum.
I have finally accepted the futility of getting an honest response and action from Jumia and only request the laptop be brought back to westlands for me to collect as this is closer to my work. Barring this happening, I will probably have a major issue at my work place trying to get time to travel all the way to enterprise road from parklands on a weekday.
This is a last ditch effort to try and get someone senior to assist me.

I place an order which i paid for on the 14th of january 2019 it was suppose to be delivered to me the 21st of January.
I paid before delivery and i have not get gotten my package...all i get is messages that i will be contacted to plan my delivery. At the end of the day, no contact will be made to me . i tried contacting them my self and all i got was switched off for 2days. But i still got a mail from jumia saying they tired to contact me but couldn't reach me.
Another deliverying agent was allotted to me...he did not reach me and when i contacted him, he said he won't be coming to my station as am the only one he is supposed to deliver package to. At the end of the day, i did not receive my paid order and i still got a mail saying they could not reach me and that my order failed.
Today the 28th of january i was sent another mail saying they will call me to plan my delivery...i waited for jumia's call and there was still ni calls. I tried calling them but all to no avail.
Am really disappointed at the treat. I mostly do pay on delivery and d packages reach my doorsteps on time but now i paid before delivery, am getting so much discouragements.
What then is BUSINESS ETHNIC when big company like jumia can not be sincere with their customers?

Ever since I made the order I haven't been so lucky with Jumia online shopping, and soon after the cancellation of the order it became an even more difficult journey with the staff at the Jumia customer care center. After numerous difficult and calls and annoying promises of an 8 week recovery waiting period for my refund; which I found strange since the SDG700SE diesel generator, order #[protected], I ordered was never delivered and by now, that waiting period has long been gone, I was determine to put an end to this charade, so, on January 12, 2019, I once again called Jumia's customer care center and was told that the moneys had already been refunded to my account; since October 8, 2018. I found it very disturbing; since I have been tracking my account ever since this ordeal begun, however, she went further, by encouraging me to contact my bank, and even suggested that if the refund doesn't reflect on my October, statement, then I should obtain a printout of that statement and file complaint at me to contact my bank, and even suggested that if the refund doesn't reflect on my October, statement, then I should obtain a printout of that statement and file complaint at

With that in mind, I visited; Stanbic IBTC Bank, my bank and requested that they look into the issue, in addition, I requested a bank statement reflecting the dates in question: 29/9/2018 which reflects Jumia debiting my account and 08/10/2018 which clearly undermine any assumption that the staff members at the customer care center may have that a deposit was made into my account by the Jumia finance section. As a further matter, I requested that my bank look into the issue which I feel that is of deep concern since no one at Jumia involved in this issue has never attempted to contact me raising many red flags.
I like to ask for the reimbursement of the full amount of moneys taken by Jumia; (N321, 950), from my account without delay;
Attached is a copy the bank statement reflecting the withdrawal and no-retuned refunds at any time during the month of October, assurances claimed by the staff at Jumia's customer care center.
Enough is enough, it has been over 4 months since promises were made to refund my moneys by Jumia customer care center and we are yet to see this happens. I suggest that the principals at Jumia take this opportunity to look into this matter and make the necessary changes to how this company handle customers.
I look forward; in the coming days, to a resolution to this problem

Milk boiler and it was delivered in a horrible state, there was burnt milk in the bottom, it was used and the base was cracked with the electric cables poping out, it is used and resold and this is completely disgusting and your customer service is even worse telling us to wait 14 days for the refund! I placed an order on december 31st on jumia egypt website. After 15 minutes I sent a request to change the address and received a confirmation email for my request. I received a rude call telling me that my request is not possible and I have to discuss it with the delivery guy.
