Refund
Dear all,I would like to file a complaint against the online service Just Answer. Even though it was said that only a online service trial charge will be taken off my credi card, they deduct both the service charge and the full monthly subscription. I tried to cancel, which is almost impossible to do,and after 1h i finally manage. They did cancel my membership but are not giving back my membership charge even though I paid for the trial service charge. I even contact the Vice ptesident of the company via email, as their Customer service page keeps crashing( what are the odds ,right? ) so he only reply that my membership is cancelled. I need your help with this refund, also because the service is an absolute scam, they copy paste answers you will find if you type on google. Ridiculous.
Desired outcome: Requesting a full refund on the monthly membership charge of $46 USD, they are more than welcome to keep the trial service fee.

This Company too over $400 in Unauthorized Charges from my Bank Account
I asked these people one legal question back in October of 2021 about Tenant Law and paid $5. I had even spoken to someone and told them that I did not want to sign up for a membership. That next year I check my bank account and from January to June of 2022 this company has taken over $400 out of my account, sometimes taking multiple charges within the same month out of my Checking. I only discovered this due to an unrelated issue. Outraged, I called "Just Answer LLC" to have them explain themselves telling the Rep I only used their service ONE TIME. She confirmed that this was true, from way back in October, but the woman who answered the phone really didn't care to. She told me that they couldn't refund me my money back because their trial automatically turns into a membership and it was my responsibility to cancel. When I tried to explain to her that I never signed up for a membership and that I even spoke to someone on the phone and made it abundantly clear that I didn't want a membership, but she responded back with absolutely no remorse. The Rep on the phone apologized, saying that I was unfortunately on the hook for all the charges. She wasn't worried about who I spoke with before, or if they had given misinformation or whether the person actually did their job right or not, the company was just going to stick me with the bill and I was going to have to pay for their negligience and lack of professionalism. The only assistance I got from her was when she flatly told me that "Just Ask" could cancel my membership so that I wouldn't continue to be charged moving forward. It angered me because I NEVER had a membership. She ultimately denied the refund and I absolutely hated that I ever did business with such a shady company. I would advise all consumers to stay away from this company because they've proven that if they make a mistake, you will have to pay for it. There is no accountability, they keep your money fully well knowing they haven't even provided you with a service. How is it that this company can justify keeping that amount of someone's money and didn't even perform a service anywhere equivalent to that is MIND BLOWING!? There's no real customer service; in fact all the Reps that have answered when I've called have had accents like they were all Vietnamese, which makes it harder to feel like you can get real sympathy and real customer relations. I literally paid $414 dollars for just ONE QUESTION, and that is "Just Anwser" business model.
Desired outcome: I want a response and a FULL REFUND of all of my money. I have a total of $414.00 worth of unauthorized charges that you took out of my account.

Answer to a tribunal question
I saw this as a way to answer a legal question I had. It came up when I was looking for Citizens Advice. I agreed to pay £1. Although I posted the tribunal pages that were relevant, I did not get an answer, just told me what was kn that page, not what I was liable for or the other party. This was in May, but I did not keep the name of the solicitor, as I did not expect to be charged £50!
I told them that I was not happy and that I wanted a refund of £5, and to cancel the whole process.
I have just received my statement on which is the amount of £50 has been unlawfully taken. I want it all refunded.

Service Question
Social Security Question- I asked how much raise I should be getting. I wasn't satisfied with my answer or the two charges on my account.
Desired outcome: Please refund
Stealing
6/3 2022. 7:45 am. JustAnswer.com advertised answers in minutes. regarding speaking to a lawyer. 3 hours later, I called customer service, for the 2nd time. The advice was, also supposed to be free. I fell for paying $5.00 to them. I explained to the customer service agent, Mary, what had happened. I paid, and got a runaround. She went off in a vein, that annoyed me. I told her, I looked them up, and many complaints, had been filed. I shouldn't have done that. I said, customers had been bumped up, to premium membership, and suffered financial loss, when they couldn't get a refund. There was an attempt, to answer my question, made. even a second attempt, but I followed the advice of, of the chat assistant, and left the computer, where I later noticed the attempts, had been made. I considered myself, free from blame on missing them, because I was earnest, and was following the chat assistant's advice. I asked for a refund, for my $5.00. I deduced I wasn't going to get it, or get any help from them. I said, I would sue them, but I didn't mean it, actually I did, but it would be unproductive to me. I'm not sure. They got me mixed up by their behavior, which is why this complaint is coming out the way it is. By all moral standards, I should sue. But, would it be worth it. I don't know, that is undetermined. Overall, I don't expect a phone call, that was arranged, and promised to me, to come. If anything, I'd sue for distress, they caused me. Overall, just a frustrating experience.

Charged for answer even though I canceled
I thought I was signing up for a free trial and had the option to cancel. I canceled within 24 hours and they still charged me a $46.00 subscription fee. I have emails that say I signed up on May 25 at 4:09 p.m. and I canceled on May 26 at 12:21 p.m. I even told the tech who contacted me that I didn't want my question answered (I did not have the information he asked for).
Desired outcome: Refund $46.00

I inadvertently clicked on this website looking for a doctor, who I discovered was in America. I paid around $2 to keep going, now I am being charged $66 automatically on my credit card, which I did not authorise. I am in Australia and obviously thought I was dealing with someone in my country. My enquiry was on 3 April for $2.00. One the 6 April I was charged another $66.00 and then again on 6 May.
Please cancel this service, as it looks like another payment will go through on the 6 of this month. I would like a refund, as indicated before, I live in Australia and you are in the USA and I did not authorise. Please advise you are doing this. Please advise, Margaret Cincotta.

I asked a question on just answer and they charged me a dollar. Then the following day they deducted 46dollars from my Mastercard without my consent. Desired outcome: I need my money back into my Mastercard
Incorrect order
I have been using justanswer on and off. I deactivated my account on March 13 because it doesnt make sense to keep it because i used it only for vet purpose. The monthly fee is 50 dollar. So i reactivated my account and posted one question and it was answered. And charge of 50 was posted to my credit card. No problem. I am happy to pay for the service. But when i tried to use it again, i was told that i only paid for a question? Why would.it make sense when one question is 50 dollar, and the unlimited questiom membership is cheaper?my email is [protected]@outlook.com
Desired outcome: Please refund or authorize my member access to justanswer till June 13th.

Payment for service was made on 2 May 2022 and then duplicated on 29 May 2022.
I searched the internet for a solution to a computer problem. The advice I received was good and fixed my problem.
But as my receipts show I have been charged twice for the advice.
Desired outcome: Refund of duplicated payment.

Misleading fees
I was asked to pay 1 euro for a trial for a question and subsequently, 38.58 GBP was taken from my account. Firstly, the 'expert' was not able to answer my question any better than i could. I immediately contacted support to ensure that I would not be charged anything further as i noted on the website that there was a 40 euro charge monthly after the trial.
I demand my money is refunded. I will make this my mission to reveal how scummy this company really is.
Desired outcome: refund

There charges are not as advertised
On 5/24/22, at approx 6:00 PM, I accessed the Just Answers website and read the terms, one of which stated, "Unlimited chats. $1 one week trial and cancel anytime. I needed information on my new puppy's health so I thought I would try a trial. I filled out their form, including some information about my pet and went forward and discovered I was required to pay $32 in order to communicate with a vet. That was completely contrary to what their advertising said. At this point, I assumed I could still cancel and I would get a refund. Shortly thereafter, a vet contacted my by cell phone. I have arthritis in my hands to typing on a cell phone is not comfortable, and I told her that. She said we could use the computer. I went back to my computer and there was a button to receive a phone call from the vet instead. I clicked that button and was immediately notified of another charge -- $28. I have no idea what this was for. I continued to communicate with the vet and determined this method of help was not for me. The next day, I contacted Customer Service for a refund and cancellation. I was told the $32 was not refundable. I asked what happened to the $1 trial hype and he said that it states the $32 is not refundable. I want to know what happened to the $1 trial and how I was supposed to use it. This is a complete rip-off and I do not appreciate being taken advantage of.
Desired outcome: I want a refund of my $32, immediately

expert advice
I was working on a 2009 Mercedes e350 air conditioner and was stuck... couldn't get any tool around a very tight nut to remove it. Desperate for help, I went to JustAnswer; was told there was a $1 fee to join , $34 if I chose to get help from them. At 6:50pm I paid the dollar After 15 minutes of no reply or expert and being told to go to the free site, I went to a store and found a wrench that worked. At 7:36, their autobot replied by email, pretended to be a person, asked who I was and said they were on it:
Eric, Automotive Repair Shop Manager

HIUse a 1/4" ratchet set, using a stubby ratchet, and a swivel socket
I saw none of this until i came inside around 2am. Never had another chance to see or read the useless suggestion which I had given up on hours earlier. When I did see the email, I sent a reply that I had indeed tried those actions and could easily demonstrate that they did not work. I then cancelled my membership giving their soution a zero on a 1 to 5 scale. Got a reply from their Customer Care VP at 2:19am on the Apr17th saying I had successfully cancelled. Three days later, a billing on my card arrived for $34. They billing for the $1 was dated Apr17. I wrote asking for my money back offering to let them keep the dollar in spite of the gross overpayment it represented. No response.
Desired outcome: Reverse the charges. Stop scamming vulnerable people in need.

Membership fees charged
I asked a question to a lawyer this morning. I entered payment information and it said that it would charge me $1 and if not cancelled it would charge me $46 membership fees. I cancelled it as soon as I finished my conversation with the lawyer only to get charged the $1 AND $46! I talked to a supervisor only to be told they won't refund me and she hung up on me. I am absolutely disgusted.
Desired outcome: My money back!!!
