JustAnswer Charged for answer even though I canceled

I thought I was signing up for a free trial and had the option to cancel. I canceled within 24 hours and they still charged me a $46.00 subscription fee. I have emails that say I signed up on May 25 at 4:09 p.m. and I canceled on May 26 at 12:21 p.m. I even told the tech who contacted me that I didn't want my question answered (I did not have the information he asked for).

Desired outcome: Refund $46.00

JustAnswer Lawyer just answer

I paid one time fee of $5 and chat talk once now received request for $60 payments. Can someone please explain to me why? In April I contacted via website now payments request have appeared on visa cash app for $60 dollars I was told contact merchant there’s no phone or email to do so

JustAnswer Scam - charge showed up on my credit card (PayPal) without authorization

I just got a PayPal email stating that I was charged a monthly fee of $46. I never authorized this, don't know anything about JustAnswer. I tried contacting them and only got a recording. I filed a case with PayPal. This is a scam.

Desired outcome: I want the $46 removed from my account.

JustAnswer Medical

I inadvertently clicked on this website looking for a doctor, who I discovered was in America. I paid around $2 to keep going, now I am being charged $66 automatically on my credit card, which I did not authorise. I am in Australia and obviously thought I was dealing with someone in my country. My enquiry was on 3 April for $2.00. One the 6 April I was charged another $66.00 and then again on 6 May.

Please cancel this service, as it looks like another payment will go through on the 6 of this month. I would like a refund, as indicated before, I live in Australia and you are in the USA and I did not authorise. Please advise you are doing this. Please advise, Margaret Cincotta.

JustAnswer Fraud

I asked a question on just answer and they charged me a dollar. Then the following day they deducted 46dollars from my Mastercard without my consent. I contacted them and something like a robot keeps sending the same message that it was refunded but i havent received the money yet. I need my money back

JustAnswer Incorrect order

I have been using justanswer on and off. I deactivated my account on March 13 because it doesnt make sense to keep it because i used it only for vet purpose. The monthly fee is 50 dollar. So i reactivated my account and posted one question and it was answered. And charge of 50 was posted to my credit card. No problem. I am happy to pay for the service. But when i tried to use it again, i was told that i only paid for a question? Why would.it make sense when one question is 50 dollar, and the unlimited questiom membership is cheaper?my email is [protected]@outlook.com

Payment for service was made on 2 May 2022 and then duplicated on 29 May 2022.

I searched the internet for a solution to a computer problem. The advice I received was good and fixed my problem.

But as my receipts show I have been charged twice for the advice.

JustAnswer Misleading fees

I was asked to pay 1 euro for a trial for a question and subsequently, 38.58 GBP was taken from my account. Firstly, the 'expert' was not able to answer my question any better than i could. I immediately contacted support to ensure that I would not be charged anything further as i noted on the website that there was a 40 euro charge monthly after the trial.

I demand my money is refunded. I will make this my mission to reveal how scummy this company really is.

JustAnswer There charges are not as advertised

On 5/24/22, at approx 6:00 PM, I accessed the Just Answers website and read the terms, one of which stated, "Unlimited chats. $1 one week trial and cancel anytime. I needed information on my new puppy's health so I thought I would try a trial. I filled out their form, including some information about my pet and went forward and discovered I was required to pay $32 in order to communicate with a vet. That was completely contrary to what their advertising said. At this point, I assumed I could still cancel and I would get a refund. Shortly thereafter, a vet contacted my by cell phone. I have arthritis in my hands to typing on a cell phone is not comfortable, and I told her that. She said we could use the computer. I went back to my computer and there was a button to receive a phone call from the vet instead. I clicked that button and was immediately notified of another charge -- $28. I have no idea what this was for. I continued to communicate with the vet and determined this method of help was not for me. The next day, I contacted Customer Service for a refund and cancellation. I was told the $32 was not refundable. I asked what happened to the $1 trial hype and he said that it states the $32 is not refundable. I want to know what happened to the $1 trial and how I was supposed to use it. This is a complete rip-off and I do not appreciate being taken advantage of.

I just had an extra £35 from my account without my consent. But can't get in touch with them to get it refunded. I paid £5 for a question answered and ended up with total for a question £40. JustAnswer Unauthorize monthly billing

Hi ,

I reached out to the company for assistance with some legal advise. When I was contacted I said I longer need the service . I have never used the service . I did not agree to a monthly subscription . This is a fraudulent activity and Iwill like to be refunded.ORDER NUMBER [protected]

Since Oct 2021, my credit card has been charge 86.00 monthly . The last payment was April 29.

JustAnswer expert advice

I was working on a 2009 Mercedes e350 air conditioner and was stuck... couldn't get any tool around a very tight nut to remove it. Desperate for help, I went to JustAnswer; was told there was a $1 fee to join , $34 if I chose to get help from them. At 6:50pm I paid the dollar After 15 minutes of no reply or expert and being told to go to the free site, I went to a store and found a wrench that worked. At 7:36, their autobot replied by email, pretended to be a person, asked who I was and said they were on it:

HIUse a 1/4" ratchet set, using a stubby ratchet, and a swivel socket

I saw none of this until i came inside around 2am. Never had another chance to see or read the useless suggestion which I had given up on hours earlier. When I did see the email, I sent a reply that I had indeed tried those actions and could easily demonstrate that they did not work. I then cancelled my membership giving their soution a zero on a 1 to 5 scale. Got a reply from their Customer Care VP at 2:19am on the Apr17th saying I had successfully cancelled. Three days later, a billing on my card arrived for $34. They billing for the $1 was dated Apr17. I wrote asking for my money back offering to let them keep the dollar in spite of the gross overpayment it represented. No response.

Desired outcome: Reverse the charges. Stop scamming vulnerable people in need.

JustAnswer Membership fees charged

I asked a question to a lawyer this morning. I entered payment information and it said that it would charge me $1 and if not cancelled it would charge me $46 membership fees. I cancelled it as soon as I finished my conversation with the lawyer only to get charged the $1 AND $46! I talked to a supervisor only to be told they won't refund me and she hung up on me. I am absolutely disgusted.

JustAnswer Fees

After paying my joining fee of $2.06 on April 19 2022 I was charged $74.16 on 19 April, which I understood was for a lawyer response. Then I was charged $74.16 again on 18 May even though there were no further questions or responses.

Please refund $74.16 back into my credit account and cancel my 'membership'.

I am not happy with JustAnswer.

I sought legal advise n Monday, May 18th and was asked for only $1, refundable, and promised connection with a lawyer. My card was billed $46 for a monthly membership, and no legal expert provided any service. I immediately canceled membership through every way available and asked for refund. Only response was to contact "[protected]@justanswer

com" and no responses received. email was sent to me with a temporary password to login, which was not accepted.Very deceptive and now seriously suspect.

JustAnswer Just Answer Appriasal

JA is the equivalent of modern snake oil salesmen! Contacted them regarding an appraisal/identification of two antique chairs. I in no way agreed to a monthly charge of $60 to my credit card nor did I intentionally become a 'member'. Of course they told me I did not read the fine print (so fine it was printed on a gnats a**). Avoid them at all costs, nothing but bad news and unwanted expenses.

Desired outcome: Would like a refund of my "membership" expenses, but know that fly-by-night companies don't care who they rip off.

JustAnswer Deceptive practices

I found ja from a google search. Typed my question and then the site says for $1 the question will be answered.. Like a trial. Next thing I know, ja charged me both the $1 and $46 for a monthly subscription. I immediately requested a refund and cancellation. The subscription was canceled but they refuse to refund my money saying I used the service when I submitted my question. Also they say, we assume you read the terms. There was never any mention of a subscription, only the $1 to try. This company should be shut down for fraud and theft.

Desired outcome: I want my $47 refunded.

I did get an answer. However, the deceptive bait and switch I received for immediately canceling the same day as to not pay the "membership" was unbelievable. I wish I had seen the complaints before I paid my "$1" that ended up charging my credit card $60. I called to speak to Customer Service which is of course, outsourced out of the country. That same person must work for all the crappy companies. And was told they gave info up front of what I would be charged. In essence, NO REFUND. STAY AWAY FROM "JUST ANSWERS".

JustAnswer The expert application

I have 10 years in the field of healthcare patient advocacy where I advise patients on things such as Social Security and Military Benefits I am not a lawyer but my experience is there. I put my application in for an expert and I was declined right away with no explanation, that does not make any sense.
