Kettle and coffee machine.
We have 6 Kitchenaid Artisan appliances. Recently we have need to replace a kettle after 8 years, although not ideal we accepted this @ circa £175.
Our Coffee Machine is 2.5 Years old and has stopped working. Given the quality of the products we can’t believe it’s happened again after such a short time. The brand is top end premium we expect a life span on these products to be a lot longer that we are witnessing. The machine turns on but does not run the water through or heat the tray.
Microwave door
I think this is a faulty door on my microwave. It is now cracking down in the lower frame of the door. I have not gotten anywhere with customer service saying it’s just cosmetic. No, this is the whole door that is cracking. I have talked to customer service and they said it’s cosmetic and won’t cover anything. I feel it’s faulty. I spend a lot of money on this stuff and it’s pathetic. It looks like crap and my appliances are still there four years old.
Desired outcome: Replace the door please
30” 5-burner gas cooktop
The lettering on the cooktop is illegible. The lettering is so faint it is impossible to read. Even the Kitchenaid logo is a very light which looks like it has been bleached off. The picture on website clearly shows black lettering which is very easy to read. The controls were covered during installation. I didn't even think to check for this. After contacting Customer Service and explaining my issue, they told me the lettering was “correct.” Whether that means it is in the correct position or spelled correctly, it is very evident that it is not supposed to be so faint that you can’t even tell where the burner’s low or high setting is or which burner you are turning on with each knob.
Desired outcome: Replace unit with one that has lettering dark enough to read in a lit kitchen.
Refrigerator runs all the time making loud a noise
We bought our new Frig in November of 2022 and its only a few months old. We have had three techs from your company come out to check our Frig and each time he says it's running just fine but he agrees that it is loud. We paid $95.00 dollars for an independent tech to come out and he said it shouldn't run all the time and it is defective and to file a complaint. This Frig was $2500 and it should not run all the time - how is that energy efficient? The noise drives us crazy and its even hard to hear the TV when this Frig is running. All the appliances in my kitchen are from Kitchen Aide and I use and love them, but this can't be right to run all the time. I would appreciate if someone would let me know what the next step is - if a replacement would do the same thing.
Desired outcome: To fix it or replace it would be the best outcome.
Kitchen aid refrigerator model: krsf705hps04
We purchased this frig from an appliance store in Milford, Ohio in October 2022. It was plugged in and the freezer side would not cool at all. I called and had a service person come out as they wanted to try to fix it. I told them that I didn't want to have it fixed and that I wanted a new one delivered because that is what I paid for. We had a new Frig delivered and it worked just fine for 4 months and just stopped making ice and the temperature in the freezer would get no colder than 30 degrees. We have had 3 appointments and on the 3rd appointment, finally the repairman put some gauges on it and figured out that the problem was in the internal system and would have to get someone else to look at it because he didn't have the training.
I'm really disappointed with the product and definitely not recommend it to anybody purchasing.
Desired outcome: I want a new Frig delivered because that is what I paid for.

I am writing to express my disappointment with the KMT4116ER toaster that I recently purchased from your company. While the toaster itself works well, the catch tray is too small and unable to accommodate the number of pieces of bread and bagels that I typically toast. As a result, many pieces become trapped and are difficult to remove, causing frustration and inconvenience.
I have been a loyal customer of KitchenAid products for many years, and I expected better from a brand that prides itself on quality and durability. I believe that a larger catch tray would greatly improve the functionality of the KMT4116ER toaster, and I hope that you will take this feedback into consideration for future models.

Hot water pot
I purchased a Kitchen Aid electric hot water kettle from Amazon (SER nbr. XX4300598 model KEK1522CA) It worked properly for about 6-8 months and then began shutting off before reaching a boiling point. This hot water kettle was still within the Kitchen Aid factory warranty period so I contacted the Kitchen Aid Warranty Department and was sent a replacement appliance (SER nbr WXA4900822 model nbr KEK1522CA) The replacement when it arrived was an obviously refurbished appliance. The red paint on it was poor at best. The signal bell, indicating the appliance has reached boiling temperature, is almost inaudible and the lid opening function does not properly open the lid to permit faucet filling without manual assistance. The replacement appliance does still heat water fully to the boiling point. I am truly disappointed in the reliability of the first electric kettle and even more dissatisfied with its replacement. I purchased The Kitchen Aid electric kettle specifically because I liked the looks of it and felt that for the extreme cost it would be a highly durable appliance. Just for your information, this kettle replaced a T-Fal electric kettle that was over twelve years old and performed perfectly all twelve years and its cost was about $25. At this point I would be very cautious in consideration of anything under the Kitchen Aid label. Please advise regarding the above feedback.
Customer service not exchanging for model
I have had kitchenaide coming out to fix my refrigerator since february. This morning kitchenaide called and said they would issue a new refrigerator. So I wanted to get a different model of kitchenaide and the lady told me I would have to pay the extra $700 for the model krmf706ess. I explained that it is the same price as the old refrigerator krff577kps if I were to go thru home depot or lowes. I asked if she could issue me a check so I could get the refrigerator I wanted instead of the other style and she told me no. I don't think it's fair I waited this long to get another refrigerator and kitchenaide not work with the customer so they would have a good experience. Since I don't have the extra $700 I ended up going with the older model krff577kps. Also the lady I talked with was very rude and not wanting to help any way at all! This is one unhappy customer! KRSC500ESS01
The icemaker stopped working on my KA Refridgerator KRSC500ESS01. This unit is 3 years old. Seems it is the wiring harness at the lower left door hinge, which isn't long enough which causes the wires to sever. Seems to be a design flaw in the unit.
I've contacted KA for service, and in researching, the only way to 'fix' is to install an entire freezer door assembly. There are however youtube fixers who are able to splice the wires and re-adjusting to enable the door to shut without eventually causing harm to the wires.
Desired outcome: I'd like to see a recall of this refridgerator, and a replacement refridge. Also, ideally, the design flaw fixed prior to a new fridge replacement.
Dishwasher
I purchased a white Kitchenaid dishwasher on February 7, 2022. One month after the warranty ran out the paint started to bubble up and peel off the front of the dishwasher. I feel like this a factory defect and it should be taken care of. I have a technician from Fields Factory Certified coming out to look at it on Tuesday, April 4.

KitchenAid warranty repair.
On October 28th, 2022 I initiated a warranty service request with KitchenAid for a dishwasher purchased on June 24, 2022. On November 16th the authorized repair technician arrived and identified 2 parts needed to fix it.
As of today March 10th, the repair service and KitchenAid have not been able to provide the parts and effect a repair.
I have had several conversations by phone with KitchenAid customer support trying to resolve/escalate/review/expedite ect. including Feb. 6th when I was told by Angela that one part was in stock and would be 'put on hold' while the second part was located. I was told my case was tagged "High Importance". I was told the "Escalation Department would be communicating with me. I was told that they will have 21 business days to fulfill the parts needed and if that time lapses I could move forward with an Exchange.
At some time before March 8th I did receive one part shipped directly to me but not the other part they said they "put on hold". The part shipped to me was very poorly packaged with minimal bubble wrap in a too large box...as a result the part was damaged beyond usefulness with several broken plastic pieces and bent metal.
On March 8th I followed up with customer service (Escalation Department did not communicate). Once the phone tree did provided a human to talk to that rep could not assist, and transferred me to the wrong department. After a couple more 'hold' and 'forwards' I spoke with Daisy and I was able to help direct her attention to specific notes and dates on my claim. Her information did not have the claim Escalated and she began that process. I requested to speak to a supervisor and was told that one would call me directly within 24 hours. Ronda (Consumer Care Lead) called me within a few hours.
Ronda claimed that previous information I was told was not accurate. She now extended the timeframe to produce both parts another 10 business days until the EOB on March 22nd before any other support consideration would be accepted.
Desired outcome: Please refund my purchase price or immediately arrange for a replacement dishwasher. I've been hand washing for over 4 months now waiting for KitchenAid to fix this dishwasher.
Refrigerator
3 year old Kitchenaid refrigerator, model# KRFC604FSS01, needs a new compressor. I lost all the food in the freezer. This began in mid-February and finally diagnosed end of February. In the meantime the fan was replaced ($600.00) and because freezer stopped working lost about $500.00 of food. Now I find out that the cost of the compressor which needs to be replaced is not covered. I am livid that a $3000.00 refrigerator would need major part replacement. I would appreciate compensation for my food and cost of the part.

I have 2 of these fridges, both failed with in a week of each other, appears to be a bad coil. It is outside the warranty by 15 days they will replace the parts but not the labor to fix. KitchenAide is not the company they were, I was told that they would cover parts and labor now I'm told parts only. This will be the last product I will buy from Whirlpool. This past Nov 6 my ceramic cooktop cracked so I called parts department for a new ceramic top , they said I should get it before thanksgiving I kept getting emails your order is shipped and on its way , the next day again I get the notice ,
The next day and the next day, finally I call FedEx and say what happened to my shipment , the said it was returned to the shipper over a week ago , I call KitchenAid parts one again waiting 24 min. To speak to someone again , was told by the person I would have to wait until their warehouse logs in the return, I say huh , I call back in a few days and was tol it was checked and that I would have to re-order the part again (mind you I already paid them for the order) I said ok so I reorder with the info and when finished I was told that the part I order was on back order now hmmm? Hence Christmas has come and gone and here it is Jan 30,23 and no part still, nothing like buying American

We moved a lot and had installed several Kitchenaid dishwashers in past few houses. Usually we moved away after 4-5 years, but the dishwashers never failed after we installed them.
In our most recent house, we purchased all new Kitchenaid appliances: dishwasher, fridge, and wall oven. The dishwasher motor just died, just shy of 3 years. (Wall oven fan is failing also, that's another complaint I'd write.)
Kitchenaid only covers its motor for 1 year. I called them and was on hold for 45 mins. They confirmed they couldn't do anything. I did tons of research, and it seemed many of these dishwashers (and other brands that used the same motor) were failing within a few years.
I'll not purchase Kitchenaid appliances anymore. It used to be the gold standard, but now it seems to fail quickly. I'm going to just buy a different brand that costs less. If it fails, at least I didn't shell out almost $1,000.

Range model kseg950ess with aqua lift technology
I purchased this range on November 30, 2020. My first complaint is that the oven takes an excessive amount of time to preheat. I reported this to Customer Service on October 30, 2021, but problem was never resolved. Next, the temperature of the oven once it's up to temp isn't accurate - it takes FAR too long to cook anything. I contacted Customer Service again on January 18, 2023 (well over 1 hour on hold).
These are both serious problems, and essentially make the range dysfunctional.
But the far more serious issue is that the range is not self cleaning. The Aqua Lift technology doesn't remove oven splatters except for the floor of the range. Range side walls and rear wall remain stained, and impossible to clean using the methods identified in the User Manual. This range should NEVER, EVER have been marketed as self-cleaning.
Desired outcome: I want to return this range for a full refund so I can purchase a self cleaning range.
Mini chopper
Purchased and not used for a while... then this Christmas used once relatively successful after having to watch how the thing actually turns on a few times on the video which IMO should not be required. Went to reuse 10 days later and would not turn on at all. I would definitely not recommend this... the online link I was sent was also useless as it only defaulted to Australia and not my country which is New Zealand. I purchased this online and I presume it came from Australia as US plugs don't work here.

Awful Service, Nightmarish Return Procedure, Unprofessional and Terrible Process
I ordered a bowl mixer and found out that it had lead in some of the accessories so I immediately called customer service to cancel the order - waited 45 minutes on hold. They told me they would cancel it but 2 days later the charge appeared on my credit card. Called them again to resolve this (waited 55 minutes this time) and was told they would check into it. Never heard back. The item finally arrived a week late so I called a third time (on hold over an hour this time) and was told that a pre-printed label from FedEx would be emailed to me in 1-3 days. I have no idea why printing a label would take three days, Amazon and others can do it within 24 hours. It has been 5 days and the label is still not here. It is a weekend and I cannot contact them because Customer Service is available only Mon-Fri from 8 am – 8 pm. I then called a second time for the label, 5th call overall. Turned out they had the wrong email (which was nowhere close to my email so I have no idea where it came from). I gave them the correct email. It has been 4 more business days and still no label. I will have to call YET AGAIN. This is the worst online buying experience I have ever had and I buy a lot online. Terrible, awful, frustrating, I am livid. I will never buy from KitchenAid again. They tell me that after they receive the item, which could take several days, it will be 7-14 days before the return item is processed and then another 7-14 days for my credit card to be refunded. So it could take more than a month to get refunded. Unbelievable…

To Whom it may concern, I am writing this email out of complete frustration.. My wife and I have purchased top of the line KitchenAid appliances and are beyond disappointed. For starters our first refridgerator lasted approximately 6 months and it went bad and we had to have it replaced. Once we recieved the new unit it lasted almost 2 years then lost all cooling function. Now onto the third unit that we purchased and currently have is approximately 1year old and is now broken (will not cool). We understand that things happen but this is totally ridiculous.
We have a service tech coming thru KitchenAid but it will be approximately two weeks so that leaves us with no refridgerator again! That now leaves us without a refridgerator for a total of six weeks between the three refridgerators. We have another home to purchase appliances for and I can honestly say KitchenAid will not be our choice! We purchased the expensive units thinking it was better quality but we have been burnt three times now. Anything you can do will be greatly appreciated.

This is mainly a complaint about service. I purchased this appliance in 3/2021 for about $4,000; because of supply chain problems, it wasn't delivered until 5/2021. The install required cabinet modifications, so it was difficult to find a company willing to do a small remodel. It was installed 7/2021. The microwave portion malfunctioned 14 months later (9/2022), so it was out of warranty. Their authorized service provider came out and ordered a part. He returned 11/2022, but could not repair it; he said it was unrepairable. I contacted Kitchenaid 6 TIMES in the hopes that they would give me come consideration, since the life of the product was so unacceptable. Each time I waited over 45 minutes on hold, and each time I talked to a different representative. A few thought that there was a chance that KitchenAid would back up their product. Once I was told that the authorized service provider had failed to submit the proper paper work about the failed unit. Once I was told that the authorized service provider had refused to call them back and suggested I contact the repairer directly to expedite matters. I did this and was told that since it was out of warranty, the repairer was not required to submit paper work, and another time they said they had already done as KitchenAid requested. Since I had to leave the country for the month of December, I finally gave up and purchased a new appliance. Not a KitchenAid.
Desired outcome: Just let other consumers that this product did not have a normal life time, and KitchenAid's Service was very poor.
