Service from a manager
My husband and I went to dinner 7/12 @ 6:15p at your location 4601 City Lake Blvd Fort Worth, TX 7132. We checked in and was greeted by Jeremy (one of the managers) who asked for the telephone number, which I gave him, and we were seated. In the wait time there was a party of 11 and a party of 3 that came in after us. The party of 11 was seated, the party of 3 was seated while we were still seated. My husband stood to ask when we could expect to be seated and Jeremy begin to tell us that the party of 3 was Landry's members and had priority seating. When my husband mentioned to him so were we, we had no apology for the delay or being skipped over but he continued to say that we had only been waiting 9 min. The hostess standing next to him had even told him she needed him to take us to table #15 but he said to her "skip them" that is when he seated the party of 3.
My concern is when my husband pulled him to the side he continued to minimize the disrespect by reminding us of the fact we had only waited 9 min. He eventually wanted to seat us but still never apologized that we felt disrespected. We recently purchased the card and not sure at this point we will use the card since we experienced this level of disrespect. Managers need to understand that everyone has a choice of where they spend their money and it's a choice. Jeremy made the choice very simple for us and I wanted you all to know. I understand you are a large company so us making this decision does not impact your bottom dollar.

Desired outcome: An apology is important
Uncaring manager at rainforest cafe in disney animal kingdom
March 20, 2022 approximately 3:30 pm. This is my second time sending this complaint with no response back. 3 adults and 2 children were seated at RainForest Cafe/Disney Animal Kingdom. As we were eating a lady on a scooter came through the isle pushing our table forward which knocked over the chair my small 6 year old granddaughter was sitting in. Luckily she did not hit her head on the concrete table. The scooter lady quickly left as we were attending to my granddaughter. We requested to see the manager “Kevin”. In speaking with him he was very uncaring and proceeded to tell us about someone running over his foot with a scooter. He just stood at our table and walked away. When our waitress came to the table we explained to her what happened. She showed my interest in the situation and talked to the manager about comping the $10 meal
My granddaughter had bruising on her knees where the table pushed into her legs when she was knocked over. Due to the rude manager I would never recommend this restaurant to anyone
Desired outcome: I would like to have an apology and we’re not requesting our whole bill be covered but $10 on an $80 bill and no acknowledgment from the manager was very upsetting.
The arrogant manager. At the chart House in Jacksonville, FL.
On November 28th of 2021 I called the chart House in Jacksonville, FL. and requested a reservation for New Year's Eve. The person who answered the phone said she would check with her manager. She came back and said they are accepting reservations for New Year's Eve. I reserved for 12 people. She took my phone number. And she wrote the reservation down. I have enclosed a copy from my phone's register showing I made the phone call on November 28th. On November 29th I purchased several gift cards from the Landrys site totaling $140, to be used for New Year's Eve dinner.
The day before New Year's Eve one of the people wanted to add their daughter to the reservation and called the restaurant. They were told there's no such reservation. When contacted me, I was visibly upset and called the restaurant. The manager told me please don't raise your voice and I told him my voice has not been raised yet. What happened to my reservation? He said you don't have a reservation and he said besides we have a problem with staff and we are cancelling reservations. In addition, he said, the corporate policy is to take no more than eight people. In a reservation. Now you can imagine the embarrassment I had in front of all those guests that I made this reservation for and I had to tell them I'm sorry the night before New Year's Eve we have no place to go.
I understand Covid is causing problems but with a restaurant chain like yours should at least have the decency to call the people and let them know that they have to cancel their reservation. This guy just lied and said I never reserved anything. I live in a rather affluent neighborhood and we eat at the chart house regularly. This is totally unacceptable, and I will let people know what happened here.
Desired outcome: I want my gift cards refunded.$140 worth. I have the copies of them.
Inflexible covid cancellation policy
My group wants to cancel a reservation for 10 people due to the Covid surge in Houston. Many people in my group HAVE covid or have fears of getting it (they live with unvaccinated kids or immunocompromised older parents). The restaurant would not allow it and said we had to still come or be charged a $1200 cancellation fee. This was escalated to the director of sales, who was rude to us on the phone, and although she offered some options such as lowering our food and beverage minimum, she would not allow a cancellation without a high fee. I feel that in times of pandemic and sickness, this restaurant/sales director is insensitive, and does not care about the well-being of their patrons or employees. This kind of mindset does not work in our world. Not only is it bad for business (a huge group of us no longer wanting to be future patrons, plus word of mouth), it's also bad for society, to willingly spread sickness in exchange for some dollars.
Desired outcome: Simply a penalty free cancellation
Discrimination from staff
I am a returning customer for the last 10 years to the Daytona in Beach Chart House. This is the first time that I have ever been treated with such a lack of disrespect. It was completely obvious that I was being discriminated against because I walked in wearing jeans and a biker style T-shirt. I arrived with a group of nine other customers and requested a table at 5:15 PM. I was told that there are no reservations until after 9 PM that I could come back. Luckily for me I knew that there was a happy hour downstairs at the bar. I took my party of 10 downstairs to find that there were no available tables. We stood waiting for a table for over an hour as there were several other bikers downstairs. Periodically throughout the night I walked upstairs to see how busy the restaurant was. We ended up leaving at 9pm and the majority of the tables in the restaurant were never sat at. My group spent over $1200 and I will never return to this restaurant again as apparently my money is not as good as others not dressed like bikers.
I do have to mention that I spoke to the manager on at least three different occasions trying to convince him to let me sit at one of the tables available in the upstairs portion of the restaurant. Three different times he advised me that the restaurant was going to be full and that we would not have time to complete our meal. I advised him that my group already knew what they wanted to order and we would not take up more time then need it. All three times the manager said there's nothing he can do.
My pay
I work for Landry's Corporation in Kemah Texas. I did direct deposit and entered the wrong bank number. My check went to the wrong account. It has been over a month and I am still trying to get my money. My bank JSC, requested a R-06 -Letter of Indemnity form and Landry's HR department and Kemah keeps telling me they don't know what that is and neither does corporate. Well after investing myself Landry's bank with Wells Fargo and they provide R-06 forms. I am also filing and EEOC complaint for discrimination. Since I have been requesting my check and to get this fixed for over a month Sarah in the HR department had come into our restaurant and made false allegations against me. I continue to work daily and do my job. Even my hours have changed. I work just night now and close by myself. I am a 19 year old college (U of H) pre law student who is just trying to receive my money for the hours I have worked. My name is Caitlin Beafneaux I can be reached at [protected]
Desired outcome: I would like to receive the money I am owed. Caitlin Beafneaux [protected]
Chart house Savannah, Georgia
We had reservations and the hostess called less than 2 hours before our reservation time saying they had a repair issue. I understand things happen but no other options or days were given. Unfortunately there was no fine dining available anywhere else in Savannah due to such short notice! Way to ruin the one evening while in town!

Bad management
I was dining with 2 of my friends at Chart House. The waitress spilled wine all over my dress accidentally, than a manager came and got my information and said somebody would call me from their headquarters. Than someone called me, and asked what I did with the dress, I said nothing yet. She said I can send it to dry cleaners and they will pay for it. The next I called I said my jacket smells alcohol and wine, too. Can I give it to dry cleaners as well. She said sure. Anyway, I submitted receipt for $25, than nobody ever called me back. I was wondering what happened after a month and called back. They said they can't pay for this for an unknow reason. I called Chart House, talked to GM and he said corporate does not allow him to talk. So, he is a general manager and can do nothing about an incident that took place in his restaurant. Than again somebody from corporate calledme and offered a gift certificate of $25. That was ridicilious. They have the wirst management I have ever seen in my life. Not only, they damaged my dress but they were uncorporative and rude.
Deceptive Business Practices
When you advertise your happy hour, then put restrictions on what you can order without advising the patrons until after they have ordered, is deceptive business practice, unethical, and a plain rip off!
As many have wrote, my wife and I have enjoyed the Chart House in Dana Point California for more than twenty years. We were just dating when we first visited this beautiful place overlooking the Dana Point Harbor.
On 06/22/11, we reserved a table on the patio for family and friends. A first for our friends there, and our sons grad night celebration. We immediately ordered a round of drinks and began to chat. We then saw a waiter bring these prime rib sliders to the table next to us and when asked by our server if we would like the "Happy Hour Menu", we said yes. Within a minute, the manager whose name was "Jim" came out abruptly and stated in a monotone format "You can't order from the happy hour menu, nor do your drinks fall under the happy hour prices". WHAT?
Jim says that when we made our reservation, he put us under a dining mode when indeed I stated "drinks, and appetizers". One round of drinks, and three orders of sliders @ $235.00. BALONEY! I wrote corporate, corporate forwarded my letter to Jim, Jim called me the following day with the same line of BS he spewed at our table that night. No apology, no restitution, no nothing!
We observed Jim chewing out the servers after wards for their honest mistake. No manager should govern his employees with fear tactics, and should have just honored what we had been told to avoid the awkward situation that Manager Jim created. You made a few extra bucks off of us, but have now lost thousands because of it. Nice going Jim. Very superb job!
Landry's Inc, Chart House, and Jim are suffering a serious case of denial here. To bad we won't be back, but you can bet your bottom dollar that this story will go viral very soon. Views are not everything.
Avoid this establishment by all means and spend your hard earned money elsewhere! Thanks for nothing.

ridiculous non helping phone numbers
My sister works for one of their restaurants in Portland. She works the banquet room, which is catered, and all food is already paid for by the customer. At the end of the event, leftover food goes to the garbage. Before Landry's bought the place, the food was offered to the employees, but now if employees want any of the food, they must pay $20/month for the privlege. Also, no more purses allowed. Employees must carry any belongings in clear plastic bags, meaning wallets and tampons are visible. No respect or trust for their employees.
Jeff,
You are right! Is not only deceiving but one who works for them feels like working for the mob. The owner, Tilman Fertitta, is coming from one of the oldest mafia families in the country. They do not give a ###! That's their attitude! They just bought two of the most reputable restaurant companies recently - McCormick and Schmick's & Mortons. They already jacked the prices more than 30% while reducing the quality of the products. Frozen mussels at a fresh seafood restaurant and more expensive? WTF? This knob, Tilman, loves shrimp and corn so almost every dish will have the backward ingredients at a premium price. Just do what I and my friends do: stop giving money to these jerks... Golden Nugget, Rainforest Cafe, Ocenaire, Claim Jumper, McCormick and Schmick's, Mortons are a few brands that were destroyed by this megalomaniac clown. Let's visit unchained stores. Peace.
