I purchased this refrigerator on March 3, 2015. In November 2018 both the ice dispenser and the water dispenser stopped working. I live in Santa Fe NM and there are no LG service people. I have called LG now about 10 times to get some sort of support and have gotten zero. Basically they have told me I am on my own because it is no under warranty. I requested getting some instructions so a local appliance repair person can work on it. They refused to supply any instructions and this refrigerator is very complicated to work on. I have called many service people within a 100 mile radius and the people who had worked on LG stopped because they were not getting the support they needed from the company. We replaced both dispenser boards and that did not fix the issue. I hired a plumber to get the water pressure checked and it's not the water pressure. I changed the water filter in spite of the one that was installed was only three months old. We checked all the connections.
I now know from reading different sites how poor or nonexistent service is from LG. I am meeting with a class action attorney to see what it would take to file a class action lawsuit against LG. I am now stuck with a three year old refrigerator that does not work. It seems many people with different LG products that are new are stuck with defective products that LG will not fix and will not support at all if they are no longer within the one year warranty.

The washing machine has had problems ever since we purchased from lowes, april, 2018. Repairmen have attempted to fix 4 different times even to point of replacing the springs, ***it did not repair anything! professional appliance attempted to repair? nothing, problem still exist. It knocks and rocks violently it has been said the balance ring, ? springs? improper clothing in tub, so ridiculous.
smart phone lg3 brought about two years ago stopped recognizing sim.
Have bought lg3 spartphone about two years ago at 'home center' - one of the biggest retail stores in my country israel.
The phone stoped to function after a year and a half. It was repaired at station service in israel according to guarantee. Six month later it stoped recognising the sim. It operated only with wi-fi. I contact again the repair station but it went bunkcruptcy. I ctc the retail store but they do not sell smart phones any more and since it ismore then two years, there is no guarantee and they can't help. I cocntacted the labe of the official importer lg smartphones to israel. They claim they do not repaire phones not purchased through their store. So i'm stuck with almost new phone which costed me about usd 400.- and no place to repair it. Private repairing labs i tried to fix it do not want to deal with it. What do i do now ?

My 3 year old washing machine has some issue since September 2018. I contacted Customer Service and was informed they will be ordering a spare part from somewhere and to date it has not arrived. Recently, I get a confirmation that LG technician will be coming in by so and so date -no call to inform, no technician showed up and the worst, the spare part hasn't arrived. I question what they expect us to do. Wait for the spare part or dump the machine and buy a non-LG because for sure I dont intend to have this experience again.
People that have visited and heard the LG washer react violently while washing have said How Sad it that LG cant repair their equipment. My parents moved into a new home 4.5 years ago after loosing their previous home to a tornado. All of the appliances were LG. Over the past year we have had to replace everything except the stove. The stove is now not keeping its temperature and the surface is showing major ware. My parents are in their late 80's and cannot afford a new stove. I don't understand why all of these appliances have failed in such a short time and all just after the 4 year extended warranty ran out. Is this normal with LG? I'm wondering if they could get some kind of a coupon or discount to replace the stove. They have spent $6, 800 on appliances this year already & just don't have enough for a stove. They would have to cut back on medications & save for months in order to replace it.

I wish to lodge this official complaint against your bad marketing team in response to the gift redemption bad experience.
1. We have purchased a TV 55UK6300P at 25/8/2018 because you are offering sound bar during the merdeka sales.
2. After about 1 month waiting, we try to call to LG Electronics (M) Sdn Bhd to check on the status. We have been passing around to different department and it landed at the marketing department. Marketing department ask us to provide detail which till now 12-Nov (3 months after the purchased), we have no yet received the free soun dbar.
3. We have again called for 3 more times at different dates, the standard answer given by the marketing department is wait in queue.
I wonder if you need more than 3 months to redeem a gift for LG Electronics (M) Sdn Bhd, it is kind of cheating your customer. Your free gift affect our decision in selecting a better product/brand/customer service which will give us better experience overall.

This refrigerators compressor failed. I lost all the food in the refrigerator and freezer. When I try to call Sears for service, they put me on a 5-week wait for an appointment. Who can do without a refrigerator for 5 weeks? The biggest issue I have is that these linear compressors LG used are a known issue. They fail miserably 50% of the time. Nobody else will work on them, and when I called LG, they referred me back to Sears. And Sears won't make the service a priority. The LG agent gave me a technicians number in my area, but when I called them, they said they will not come out and replace the compressor for the very reason that they are failing months after they replace them. So, what good is having an authorized LG technician when they won't work on the LG product because of its inferior nature. Shame on LG for manufacturing and installing a well-known defective product and not taking any measures to replace or repair these failing compressors. I spent over 3 hours on the phone with both LG and Sears and got nothing but the runaround. Nobody would address the seriousness of my problem. I have been without my refrigerator for over 2 weeks, and no normal human being can afford to be without it for another four or five weeks waiting for an appointment for service. I had a great deal of respect for LG before this, since I had several of their products and liked all of them. However, I am deeply disappointed and have lost total respect for LG because of their lack of customer service and support for their defective products. It's bad enough they make a product that they know fails, but it's even worse to know they don't back it up after it does fail. I feel as though they just want their product sold and out the door, and then the consumer can deal with the problems on their own. Very, very, very, disappointed.
What is really sad is that technicians, store sales people, and others all are aware of LG's Appliance issues, and cringe when they hear that you have an issue. They all are steering customers away from LG appliances. So your reputation is slowly deteriorating, and your company seems to not care or be interested in helping the consumer that spent good money buying their product. Again, shame on you!

I have an LG Stylo 3 and I do not overcharge it I make sure to take it off of the charger when the notification lets me know that it's fully charged and to remove the cord. But I find that even with very little use maybe one to phone calls the fingerprint power button gets extremely hot and has burned my finger to the point of blisters. I bought LG fridge from 4 years and still under the warranty, the fridge stopped working and I called their customer service accordingly.
A technician from LG checked my fridge on 2/10/2018 and he described the problem on his visit report and he ordered the required spare parts.

LG electronic company not replacing their faulty product I purchased washing machine on may 2017 I'm glad about it. I purchased an LG dishwasher from Doğan Dayanıklı Tük.Mal.San. ve Tic.Ltd.Şti. in Turkey on 03.10.2018. Technical Service came on 05.10.2018 and very quickly without giving a lot of information they went. And I am the owner of the dishwasher but they didn't wait for my control and signature. When they were at home I asked why they were putting machine so near to wall they said LG is smaller than the old one. I didn't believe and measured it but it was same & saw the right part of the LG dishwasher was damaged & I looked at the package of the dishwasher ıt was also damaged from the same part. I called both the service Ayes and the seller. Technical service came & agree that there is damage part on the machine right-hand side and also saw there is a damage to the package on the right-hand side. They said to wait for 2 or 3 days you are right and we will report this to the main office we will call you about the result. But they didn't call. I called them and learned the main office regret the form and send the reason to the seller. The seller said don't panic we will help you wait we will speak today, tomorrow, next week... I think they are waiting for 30 days. So they will not change. Both the seller and the technical service are playing like a ball with me. Please help me. This event and this faulty product are not suitable for LG Brand name.
P.S. And also there is not an owner's manual in English for the dishwasher. But there was an English issue for the washing machine.

My wife, Kathleen, was researching on a new washer and LG was one of them. Kathleen called their Product Support dept. to inquire if the attachment hoses was included with their model. The answer was an astounding 'yes', upon which Kathleen verified that the unit would be purchased for delivery in Alberta. 'No problem' was the reply. So, with the washer delivered and no hoses included we purchased new hoses. Kathleen has been trying to get reimbursed for about 2 months. Her calls have been dropped. She has been promised a return call which never happens. Been transferred to US and Philippines, suggested that she has lied. It is apparent that LG is the type of company that promises everything but delivers on nothing. And all this for $25. CDN. If they renege on $25 imagine what they will do on their warranty. Scary.

In 2017 we bought fridge and dishwasher and we paid gross price with VAT. Based on local law regulation embassies have right to not pay VAT, we received the necessary document from Ministry of Foreing Affaires which confirms our right to take VAT back. We have sent the file to your distributor in Alger, but he refused to pay us back VAT. We are trying now more that 1 year to speak with him, but nothing has changed. I asked your office for West Afric to help me - after their e-mail algerian office called me ocne again to say we do not care about your rights, we will not pay VAT back.

Everything works on this refrigerator except cooling. The refrigerator is approximately 3 years and has stopped cooling. Serial 503krre0k366. Apparently the compressor is not working. Called for a repair and scheduled but the repair person was a no-show. Called back and apparently, NICK at your customer service department did not put the right address in the system. Your tech could not be reached by phone or doesn't answer. Michael another customer repair answered the phone and is trying to reach the tech who did not show and would call me back by the end of the day to see if the tech ever showed. I have my appliances registered with LG and I see no reason as to why an error with the address occurred. Food is rotting by the minute. I still have no answer and no repair. Life is NOT good with LG.

My Kenmore Elite which is an LG refrigerator was purchased apx. 1 1/2 years ago. It stopped working Oct 4th Repair man came out Oct11th and since then I received 2 parts and am waiting for the third part . They said it was shipped yesterday. they have no idea when it will arrive . I paid $3, 000.00 for this refrigerator so I could use it. I have never had a refrigerator break so quickly. The compressor and other things. This is clearly manufacturer defect. Sears is also not helping . No one is taking care of this problem.. In addition to this the parts are still under warrantee but they want me to pay 330$ to get this fixed. Well hopefully they will fix it. Its been 3.5 weeks with no fridg. This is way too long!
Since I have spoken to many persons and found out that this is standard for LG refrigerators that the compressor goes out and it takes a month to repair. You can be sure I would never buy a LG or sears product ever again.
