LG Refrigerator LMXS28626D
I want to report the horrible time I have had with my refrigerator. I bought this refrigerator in 2018, and since 2020, I have had nothing but cooling issue after cooling issue with it. The compressor was changed twice, and the condenser and dryer were replaced once each.
I currently have an extended warranty on it, but it is hell to get LG to acknowledge the extended warranty. When I finally do, they send multiple technicians that do not resolve the issue.
Recently there have been several attempts to figure out why the freezer suddenly stops producing ice and the refrigerator suddenly starts to warm up. So far, nobody has been able to fix the fridge, and no one can get it to keep cold. They suggested I set the freezer to -2 and the refrigerator to 37, which has yet to help. We are losing tons of food that have gone bad, and we must keep buying takeout food like Chipotle, Jimmy John's and Panda Express because we cannot cook anything. We are currently a household of 6, and to say the least it is very expensive ordering takeout daily. I am recently recovering from a stroke, and my mother who is living with us at the moment will be having major surgery soon. I expect to be reimbursed for all of the takeout that we have to buy, due to your companies negligence.
I've attached to this email all the dispatches, including the chat transcripts from 2020. At this point we want a refund of what we had to pay for this fridge and the takeout food that we have to continue to buy until is resolved. This is an outrage and we are extremely upset about this. We have never been able to enjoy this because it was getting repaired so much.
Desired outcome: I want a refund so I can buy a fridge that works.
LG Refrigerator
I am hoping for some help here. We purchased an LG refrigerator in 2017 with a 5 year extended warranty. This weekend, it just stopped cooling (compressor issue according to LG). All day today (February 13, 2023), I have been on the phone with LG customer service and every appliance repair place for 50 miles from my home. No one will even touch this refrigerator. LG just keeps telling me to call this provider or that one and when I do I am told they do not work on LG refrigerators. LG tells me to call a local provider. I explain that I have already done this just to get back "I assure you we will find you a service provider." 12 hours later, I have no refrigerator, all the food is in coolers with ice hoping to save it, and still no calls from LG or a provider. I even told then to just come and pick it up and refund our money. I don't need a huge paperweight in my kitchen. Still I have gotten nothing from LG.
Desired outcome: Fix refrigerator or refund cost so we can purchase another one.

It is working very badly lately due to noises in the rotation of the axis. It is a noise in turning and spinning. It is an unbearable noise, annoying to all the neighbors. I feel helplessness and disappointment before a brand like LG, in which I have fully trusted and that guarantees me 10 years.
Is this really what they want for their customers?
I have invested a lot of money in this washing machine, hoping that its duration would be long. I don't believe in planned obsolescence. I would like to receive a gesture from you.

I bought LG package of 4 appliances. I bought all from Lowes in Columbus Ga. I had to return the refrigerator because it was too big. Lowes did not have the smaller one so hey reimbursed me the money and I went to Home Depot and bought the refrigerator there.
My range has stopped working. I have had the lg technician out 2 times, with 2 other appointments that they did not come. The schedule the appointment from 8-5 so I have had to wait 4 times, all day with 2 no shows. They will not give me an RA number to pick up this NEW range that is not working. I have been without a range to through the holidays.
The refrigerator was delivered from home Depot's delivery team. When they left, I went to open the bottom drawer freezer and the handle can off on the left side. I thought that it would be a simple fix to just tighten the handle, wrong! The handle would still come off. I had lg send me a new handle. I put the new handle on, and it still comes off. They were supposed to call me back but after multiple attempts, I can't get anyone to help me with this. After the handle has hung so long it has scratched my new Lg refrigerator. I need some help getting both of these appliances returned!

In 2017 I bought an LG Electric Range from the nearby Lowe's Hardware Store. I haven't had any issues until last week when I noticed there was a discrepancy with the oven heating. There's at least 150 degrees difference between the thermometer and the oven. I also noticed the self-cleaning option of the oven wasn't working and it takes a great deal of time to preheat. Unfortunately, I didn't buy the warranty plan from Lowe's when I bought the range. When I contacted Lowe's to repair the range, I was told they wouldn't fix it because the manufacturer's warranty had expired, and I didn't buy the warranty plan.
After contacting every appliance store in the area, I quickly found out that there's no one is willing to fix the oven without either a warranty or if I bought the appliance from the store in question. To make a long story short, I found out there are no qualified LG repair services in the entire state.

Crack lg fridge shelf, wall, tracks
Purchase an top of line LG fridge in 2013. It is not my first fridge but it is by far the worse fridge I have ever had:
Within the first few years the following problems appeared (most of them I was able to fix myselfnwith replacements parts)
2015: The ice distributor latch broke and latch will not open automatically anymore.
2016: cracks started to appear out of the blue in door bins, under the bin, on the side of the bin and were the bin attach.
2018: door latch broke unable to clos3 the frige properly, new latch was purchase and fix
[protected]: remaining drawer and drawer cracked and the whole drawer module is now un-leveled
[protected]: Crack are now appearing in the inside of wall of the fridge.
2022: The fridge have stop producing ice

LG Stylo 5 wireless phone
12/19/22 My cell phone shut off on its own then proceeded to catch fire in my hands. Thankfully I was able to throw it in water to put the fire out. I was very lucky that I did not receive any burns. My house filled up with smoke within seconds and my smoke alarms were set off. my phone completely melted. I had to order a new phone from At&t. I would like to be reimbursed for any charges I incurred b/c of the LG phone malfunctioning.

LG Laptop 15Z980-R.AAS9U1 LG gram 15.6" 8th Gen. i7 Processor Ultra-Slim Touch Laptop
I purchased this very expensive high end computer mid 2019 ago from Best Buy. Shortly after I received it, the computer was totally non-functional. Upon calling Best Buy they stated that the only option was for me to send the computer to China for repair. I did send it to China which left me with no computer at all for months. The computer was returned to me in October of 2019 and yes it then would turn on and boot up but the following were disconnected inside the unit and non functional: Fingerprint reader, built in camera, microphone. Upon contacting LG and doing my own troubleshooting they are to this day non functional. LG completely skirted the issue and never have cared to resolve the problems. I boxed the unit up and put it on a shelf and have never used it till now. I would like to use this machine but just cannot given that several of the items they tout about it don't work.
Desired outcome: I want LG to pay for this to be corrected and the fingerprint reader, the camera, and the microphone that are all internal to be re-connected inside the unit and made functional.

I ordered a tv from [protected]@lgsupport.com on 10/16/22, the tv was never delivered from the trucking company. It was scheduled for delivery 8-10 times then pulled at the last minute. I cancelled my order on 11/22/22. I have yet to receive a credit for the purchase. The trucking company that lg used is unreliable. I have never had this kind of trouble when ordering online before with any other company. I have phoned lg several times & I am not satisfied with their service.
Desired outcome: Please refund the full price & I would like an apology for the extreme inconvenience this whole thing caused.
Refrigerator
Purchased an LG refrigerator with ice maker and water dispenser for over $2500. Purchased with it, the recommended water line to attach for the water. Noticed there was a plastic taste in the water from the refrigerator even after flushing many times more than recommended. Thought this would go away. Several months later, still the same taste. Called LG and was told to replace the recommended water line with a PEX food grade line. We purchased a new water line (expensive) and the plastic taste did not go away. Then we removed the line from the refrigerator and tasted the water and the water tasted fine. This proved that it was not the water line creating the problem, but it is coming from the refrigerator itself. Called LG and they said we have to call a plumber. Explained that there is nothing wrong with our pipes, that all water tastes fine until it is hooked up to the refrigerator. They refused to send a technician and said we'd have to pay for one to come in ourselves. We are still under warranty! I wrote to the BBB and then LG said they would send in a technician. He tasted the water and admitted that it tasted fine as long as it wasn't connected to the refrigerator but said there was nothing he could do. He gave us a reference code and said to call LG and see what they will do about it. Called LG and their answer was for us to change the line to a PEX food grade line. Which is what we already did. LG says it's not their problem and nothing they can do. Stuck with either tasting plastic which may be toxic or having purchased a very expensive refrigerator and not able to use the ice maker or water dispenser!
Desired outcome: A tech to admit to LG that the taste is coming from the refrigerator and if it cannot be fixed, replace the refrigerator or refund us the amount it would have cost if we purchased a refrigerator without an ice maker and water dispenser.

Hi, we bought refrigerator in October 2016, it has 10years of warranty, in March 2018 First we raised a complaint about not getting cooled immediately after 2days service executive visited they changed the mother board as they told us it was not working after that again in March 2022we had a same complaint of not getting cooler and this time they took almost 1week to visit in the mean time it stopped working, they changed the mother board 3 times back to back in a span of 15 days even then it was not working they told there might be a problem with compressor and they changed it they also changed the gas then it started working again after 4 months it had a problem but they changed the mother board, now again there a problem it's making a loud noise

This is my 1st and most likely will be my last LG product due to horrible customer service and literally no one able to fix the refrigerator. I bought it from Lowes back in January of 2019. The only reason I went with it was because it was the biggest refrigerator in the store at the time for under $3000. I paid approximately $2600 for it. It went out randomly in October 2022. I quickly called after realizing what happened 2 days later when having to throw away my food from the entire fridge. Over the course of more than 2 months now, I have been without this refrigerator. I've spoken to over 10 different reps, given 7 different CNN#, sat on the phone at least an accumulative of 5 hours, had cases cancelled on at least 5 different occasions, and I've had to explain my situation EVERY SINGLE TIME I spoke to a new rep. LG could not find anyone to come and attempt repair. It clearly is the compressor which apparently is an LG widely known issue. They asked for a purchase order. I went to Lowes and they stated they do not maintain records past 90 days. I informed LG of this over a month and a half ago. They said then I would have to accept the fair market value. I asked what it was and they couldn't tell me. I said well I have no other choice. December heading into January, I still have not received a check from LG. They have given me the run around on every call. I never receive calls or emails like they say I will. They constantly text my wife sending threatening texts of closing cases which they have done. The crazy thing is all the stores and repair people I have talked to have said the same things... stay away from LG appliances. They look nice and have lots of nice features but they rarely last past 3-4 years and you can't find anyone to repair them. I want an equivalent and working replacement or a refund of what I spent. Not even 5 years old and I had to throw away most of my food from the fridge and freezer. LG should be ashamed. Over 2 months and no fridge...
Desired outcome: Either a replacement refrigerator of similar characteristics or a check/refund of the $2500+ I spent for this item since there is no one to fix it.
LG Refrigerator model LFXC24726S/02
This French Door refrigerator with freezer drawer underneath stopped working at all. Food spoiled in Freezer. Called 3 local repairmen who won't work on LG because of all the compressor problems they have. Finally had an LG Authorized repairman come out. Very nice guy. Assumed they could replace the compressor. The fridge is 8 years old and compressor is under 10 year parts warranty. Parts were shipped to my house the day before the repair was scheuled.
Repairman told me, the compressor was bad, there was a freon leak and there was another issue. He told me that the fridge was on it's "last legs" (after 8 years!), and that if it were him, he would buy a new one, since the repairs would be half the price of a new fridge and there is no guarantee that other things would go wrong soon.
He admitted that they are only made to last 7-10 years.
This planned obsolescence is absurd for an item that cost over $2,000.
LG and other manufacturers should be ashamed.
Won't buy LG again. Just spent over $2,000 on another brand. I hope I get more than 8 years out of it!
Also spent $125 for repairman to walk in the door, look at the fridge and basically tell me to buy a new one. Ridiculous customer service and lack of "standing by your product"!
Poor quality, no service
Currently dealing with them to fix my fridge. First report to LG on 1/11, and every time they will tell you to wait 2 to 3 business days when you have already been waiting for weeks.
Resolution case manager has no resolution for the issue. They said someone will call you back but never. I have to call LG and I have to call the contractor many times, but it is still not helping. Its under warranty but not providing loan fridge in the first instant when identified the issue, and leave me without a fridge in Darwin, where is an average 30ºC and currently is summer Wet season. I just want a working fridge, but they can't make it happen in 6 weeks time. I have been waiting for more than 6 weeks now but possibly will go through Christmas and New year period without a fridge. What an 'AMAZING' Christmas present from LG.
I'm not surprise actually as they fixed my microwave for 6 weeks by sending back twice to complete the job a couple years ago. Both microwave and fridge bought brand new within the warranty. I thought LG has good quality products that's why I bought it but turned out I was completely wrong with that.
Desired outcome: Replace a new fridge or fix immediately within next few days before Christmas.
LG front load washer
I purchased a new LG washer & dryer in August 2022 for our Airbnb in Warrensville, NC. Three months later (November 26th), the washer stopped filling with water and was showing an OE error message. I live in Texas so I'm not able to be there to check this out personally but my cleaning crew informed me of the problem. They tried the obvious fixes, making sure the drain hose wasn't kinked, cleaning the filter, unplugged and plugged to do a reset, etc. I called in a repair request to LG and reached a CS agent in the Philippines who insisted I must go through the entire troubleshooting list before he could schedule a repairman. I had to pay my cleaner to make a special trip out there to try running washing machine cleaner through the cycle, as the customer service agent insisted this would fix the problem.
Obviously it did not fix the problem because there's no water filling up the machine to even run through the cleaning cycle, so I had to make another call to LG Customer service to request a repair. No one ever actually answers the phone. I just get the voicemail system every time. Initially I did receive a call back from Sandy at National Platinum Services (which I think may be the local repair agency but I'm not really clear on that). She insured me I would get a call back within 2 business days to schedule the repair. That was two weeks ago and no one ever called me back. I've tried numerous times over the past couple of weeks to reach them. I've left multiple voicemails for them with no return call.
So here I am with a brand new washer that doesn't work. I'm paying my cleaning crew extra every week to take our linens offsite to be washed. And I'm stuck in this endless cycle of automated voicemails, getting absolutely NOWHERE. And side note - guests don't have access to the laundry room. It has only been used by my cleaner and myself, less than 50 loads.
DO NOT BUY LG PRODUCTS! Customer service is NON-EXISTENT!
Desired outcome: Please call me to schedule the necessary repairs for this machine that's still under warranty. I would like a working washing machine.

I purchased this fridge in 2021 and every door shelf is cracked and one completely broke apart. Now I’m reading hundreds of reviews of customers dealing with the same issues. Why are you not using better plastic? Terrible business practice. Unfortunately, I am not going to completey abide by your request because harm did come to me and therefore, it is important to be specific. LG does not get to look the other way on this and that is exactly what they will do if I cannot prove to them and when I name these people, they will recognize them as employees and know I speak the truth.
First, please please do not respond back steering me to LG complaints or Corporate office. I have already done that and got no where. This is a terrible company with no shame. Their esculation team was awful. So far, I have contacted the local news stations, my bank, and I am also a professional writer. One way or another, the public will be notified of my story and if I can prevent even one person from experiencing what I just went through then I will be at peace. No human should go through this. LG was supposed to service my fridge because a recall was issued on a part and they were supposed to fix it. Instead, they took my money, charged my card, the tech no showed, and their eculation team told me they do not make it a habit of issue refunds. I explained that the tech never showed up and they said "too bad" and that they were still keeping my money. I was in such shock that I actually had the representative from the corp office actually repeat herself. Her name was Chasity. I hope to god it is on their "quality assurance" tapes because then they can hear this woman telling me that LG is not refunding my money while at the same time acknowledging that they are aware the tech never showed. I was horrified. She told me "so sorry" but they will be keeping my money. So now I have a broke $2000 k fridge, they acknowledged the part was unsafe and recalled but won't fix it. It was unbelievable. I cannot believe service companies are allowed to not send the tech and keep the money you gave them for the service. I trusted them which is why I gave their service team my credit card. My bank said this is a fraudulent charge because they charged me and no service was provided. They started to scramble and act like I cancelled the appointment but I actually have a text from them telling me the tech was not coming. The text from them is proof and documentation. The tech was named Michael Reigle. While they said they were sorry that Michael chose not to show up nor did he call me and this was the second time I got stood up. Yep, you read that correctly. LG company made me take off work twice and wait for 5 hrs each time only for no one to show. They hung up on me several times trying to avoid my calls asking for my service money to be refunded since no service was provided and when I took it to escalation, Chasity called and said they have not plans to give me my money back. That is theft.
Desired outcome: I want my $125 refunded, a new tech (Michael Reigle no showed twice) the recalled compressor to be replaced, the service to be done on a Saturday because I already took off work twice and I want the labor fee waived.
Not standing behind the quality of their product and not honoring the warranty
November 12th the refrigerator stop cooling and its not even an year old. The warranty would cover any thing that needed to be replaced. However, since the 12 of November up until today (dec 2). LG has been giving us the run around. Lied several times about a company coming to fix the issue but upon talking to the actual company they had no knowledge of the issue from LG. This has actually happened with 3 different companies including Lowes who would replaced the refrigerator if LG would agreee to it. They continue to lie and no one has come to fix this issue...They stated that we cant get a refund and at this point i dont think they are going to honor the warranty...its going on a month and we had to throw away alot of food due to their horrible customer service. We need it fixed or our money back. LG has got to be the worst experiencewe ever had

Refrigerator
We have an LG refrigerator that the compressor quit working and was still under warranty. We contacted a repairman who keeps the compressors in stock because he said they have a 100% failure rate. I contacted LG and was told to get an itemized bill and contact them again for instructions on how to submit the bill. When I contacted them for instructions, they refused to honor the warranty saying the repairman would have to have stated the compressor was still under warranty prior to ordering the part and repair of the refrigerator.
Desired outcome: LG honors the warranty on the compressor and reimburses us for the cost of the compressor.

I cannot count how many times I’ve brushed against knobs and they have turned on. Last night could have been a disaster if not for a very good fire alarm system in my house. I carried in a very heavy box from Costco full of foood and set it on my stove. I didn’t realize when I set it down it turned on all 3 burners on left side. I went back outside to get more groceries and was delayed maybe 3-5 minutes when every alarm in my house went off. The box was on fire. Not shouldering, a 2-3 foot fire. Everything was ruined and what a mess since a blast ice coffee container was one item there was coffee and me, Ted plastic everywhere. It took me over 2 hours to clean the mess… it burned, y counters but thankfully I have corian so burn marks came off with steel wool.
This is not the first time this has happened, it’s just the first time a full fire erupted. I mentioned it to my house cleaner that said every time she cleans and brushes against them they turn on. As far as I’m concerned after last night and 150.00 of groceries in the garbage this is a recall issue or the very least new knobs that fit tightly.
I’m sorry I didn’t take photos I was so upset cleaning the mess it didn’t occur to me to take pictures.
