I will never purchase an LG appliance again. Nor will I ever do business at Conn's again. Both have zero customer service.
In October 2006 we purchased an LG dishwasher. That is when the nightmare began. We bought it from Conn's (a fitting name by the way). 33 days after we bought it, we got an "LE" message on the LCD display. After some research, I found that meant a problem with the motor or wiring harness. I called Conn's and told them that I felt I should get a new machine. They told me it was outside of the 30 day window for replacement but they could send a technician out. I told them that was not right and I would never do business with them again. I was told "I'm sorry you feel that way sir". Since then, we have had 2 motors, 1 wiring harness, bent rails, new rack, drain hose leak which flooded my family room, another wiring problem and last week we got "LE" again! We have spent hundreds on service calls, countless hours complaining to LG (who doesn't care) so we diecided to cut our losses and buy a new dishwasher. After coming home from shopping for a new dishwasher, guess what the display on my washing machine (purchased before the dishwasher) said. You guessed it "LE"!
LG is awful and so is Conn's.

[protected]) This is a number that I have come to know by heart! Not by choice! You may recognize the number as the number for Customer Service for LG Appliances. We purchased our DREAM LG Appliances, Refrigerator, Stove, Microwave and Dishwasher for close to 8000.00 back in Feb. 2008 from Bernie’s in Waterbury CT…and have nothing but trouble ever since!
After doing what we thought was research in reference to company and integrity we found LG was announcing a Cross Licensing Agreement with GE. What better company, GE is a household name that has a lot of history in the United States and one that stands behind their products. GE happens to also be one of the biggest players in the wind power industry that is up and coming. This information meant a lot to fiancé and me as far as energy conservation goes. We had read a quote by Young Ha Lee the President and CEO of LG Electronics and Digital Appliance Company. He stated that “the licensing agreement would enhance the ability to deliver WINNING PRODUCTS and move the company further toward the goal of becoming one of the top global brands in consumer electronics and home appliances.” This could not be farther from the truth as far as we are concerned. We have had a number of service calls on our stove and have had many parts replaced….only to have the stove still not work! I came home only yesterday to find the freezer had flooded my kitchen floor in solid ice chunks. That is a whole different letter…so let us only concentrate on the stove, the reason I am writing this letter to begin with.
After the trouble we had we decided to research complaints on LG appliances to see if we were the only ones out there experiencing these problems. I thought…after all, that since my fiancé was a contractor and had some experience in buying quality products for peoples homes and referring a number of his clients to Home Depot to purchase the LG products that we had made the right decision when It came time for us to buy new home appliances. We were we sadly mistaken, and are extremely disappointed! Needless to say, with the purchase of our second house finalized we will not be purchasing LG products to furnish it with! Nor will my fiancé be referring clients from his contracting business to purchase any LG products!
In these economic times, you would expect a company like LG to deliver quality items to ensure that customers return. As I stated above my fiancé and I researched the complaints and found that it was not only us experiencing such trouble. Below you will find a number of comments made In reference to LG products. The reputation of LG is on the decline…I only hope that GE is not involved in this.

I could go on for hours with the extensive number of complaints found online. I will however stop here and say; that if we do end up getting the stove replaced at this point it has been such a hassle. We both work over an hour from our house, and as you can imagine it has not been easy getting to our house to let the service guys in not once, but 5 times. I have had to take PTO from work to make it to the house for the designated service calls. Not to mention, the meals my fiancé and I have had to pay for to be able to eat. Eating out or having to schlep meals to my mothers to cook has been a complete nightmare!
The straw that broke the camels back came on Christmas Eve when finally the stove was said to be fixed. We invited family to our house for “7 fishes”, a family and religious tradition. The oven decided that once again it was not going to work. So…with 15 people at our house and over 150.00 dollars worth of fish to be cooked what were we to do? It took over 5 hours to cook (and still wasn’t done right) on convection oven with the temperature saying 500 degrees. Needless to say, Christmas Eve was a disaster and my family went home hungry. We may as well have thrown 150.00 into the garbage because that is where all the fish went! We did not appreciate spending our hard earned money on the stove to have it fail us.
I thought that my fiancé and I had been reasonable when dealing with all of the service calls and time taken off work. I feel that we have been more then understanding. The problem is that at this point I feel from my gathered information that I would like to receive a refund on this disastrous purchase or to be authorized to purchase a different more reliable brand.
I do not want another LG product since LG doesn’t stand behind their products. The LG appliances look very good, almost commercial grade…great addition to your kitchen so long as you don’t have to use them. Not only are they DANGEROUS with the turning on and off by themselves, but are the most unreliable pieces of equipment available. I will make sure via word of mouth that none of my close friends, family, and or co-workers makes a purchase from LG in the future!

I purchased a dishwasher and refrigerator from LG and have had nothing but problems. The dishwasher stopped working properly after six months and the ice maker in the refrigerator works intermittently. I cannot get an authorized service technician to repair them as I am told that there are none in my immediate area, thus making it my responsibility to have the items repaired. I have spent many hours on the phone with LG, and also on their Chat line, but have received nothing but platitudes. I want my money back, because I entered into this purchase in good faith expecting products that functioned, not decorative models. It is not fair that I have to spend more money to replace them. Something has to be done. We sit and take what these large companies hand out and there's nothing we can do. Yong Nam and Young-Ha Lee should be ashamed of themselves for selling defective merchandise and ignoring the complaints of hard working people who trusted them and their products. They are just common thieves!

I have had several issues with this refrigerator. First of all someone in the home didnt close the door all the way and when that happens the refrigrator shuts off. Once this happened the ice began to melt in the ice maker and ran all over my new hardwood floor causing $2K worth of damage.
Next thing the water tube that feeds the ice maker ruptured and leaked all over the fl, oor causing damage. Then the drawer slides broke inside and it just goes on from there.

model : WF 566107 TD sometime during the 3rd week of November 2009. In response, the company deputed a person and attended the same on 21.11.2009. After attending to the problem, he advised us to enter into the AMC, for which I had paid Rs. 882/- towards AMC charges vide HLP No. JJ 32093 dated 21.11.2009 (copy enclosed). As there was no water supply on the day of repair, it could not be tested. However, on the following day, the machine continued to pose the same problem. Again a complaint was booked, but nobody turned up. Thereafter, over a half a dozen calls were made to the company but nobody turned up till date.
The above casual attitude is not expected from a company like L.G. This has caused me serious inconvenience besides financial loss. I bring this matter to your notice for a response before I decide further course of action in the matter.

Dear Members,
I bought LG 22" LCD TV monitor on 27/08/2009(Bill Attached B.jpg).
I bought seeing promos given by LG company (To see the promo see LG WEBSITE)
I completed all the formalities to get my DTH service according to the LG IT CLAIM FORM ( See A.jpg)
And couriered it to Spectramind Marketing Pvt. Ltd. as mention in CLAIM FORM on 30th by Doc. No. 3137 through First Flight.
Now after a long time, i got a letter (c.jpg) stating that I have not attached Invoice Photocopy. Which is absolutely incorrect and I believe it’s a game played my LG company. As I have send all the documents as mention in "LG IT CLAIM FORM" and I also believe that there might be more customers cheated by LG Company.
As mention in (C.jpg) letter from Spectramind Marketing Pvt. Ltd., I cannot even re-submit my CLAIM FORM.
Now what can I do to get my DTH Free service with 6 months subscription free.( as promised in the promos during that time)

I Purchased an LG refrigerator (Model LFC25760ST) on July 29, 2006 and recommend that anyone avoid their products.
I just happened to open the door late last night only to discover a nasty burning plastic smell and an unusually hot climate. Everything on the top shelf was warmer than room temperature. I quickly discovered the light panel was melting off the screws holding it in place; brown burn marks on the wire housing and the plastic above the light housing bubbled.
After searching the internet, I discovered at least 80 reports of the exact same problem - some fridges had started on fire. Knowing the potential that this easily could have progressed to a fire while our family was sleeping, I unplugged the fridge.
LG is going to fix it at their cost, but cannot guarantee that it won't happen again and of course, will not replace it with a new fridge or reimburse me for all of my spoiled food. I had to throw out everything not only because I turned it off for safety, but all foods were infused with the smell of the melting plastic.

Just happened to me this morning. Opened the refrigerator doors to grab lunch and the top unit and lights were hanging down. And I could smell something burning. Started touching the bottles in there and everything was hot. Butter in door compartment was melted. Total horror. Called LG and like others said, they know about this. She asked me if I changed the bulbs and I said no, they were original. She told me to remove the bulbs. When I did, you can seen brown burnt marks all around where they were. Repairman is coming Monday so I have no refrigerator for 5 days. Have no food anyway since it all had to be tossed. Makes me so nervous had I not found this. And will the problem be fixed or can this happen again down the road. I always thought LG was good, have dishwasher and tv, but will never buy again in the future. Life is not good today.
We purchased this product from a big box store around 2007. The ice maker failed after 4 years and flooded our kitchen. I was disappointed in LG's response, and elected to not replace the icemaker due to out of pocket cost and fear of future failure. I figured I'd keep the refrigerator anyway, since it was relatively expensive.
This past weekend, I went into the kitchen in the morning and smelled burning plastic. I opened the fridge only to find that the temperature control and lights had melted to the point of dropping from the ceiling of the fridge. it was hot inside the fridge to the point where the butter had melted and dripped out of the compartment and down the door. There were visible scorch/melting marks on the light compartment. I think if I had not been home this weekend, it would likely have caught fire.
I think this fridge is a fire hazard, and caution anyone with this unit.
Being a consumer who doesn't want to waste money, I wanted to rig the machine so that it's not a total waste. I screwed the control panel back into the ceiling, and replaced the bulbs with low wattage (and low temperature) LED lights. It seems to be okay for now.
I will be replacing this fridge in the near future, and will not buy another LG product.
They replaced the light kit over 3 weeks ago and I haven't had any other problems (so far!). They shaved off the bubbles and repaired the cracks and holes with plastic (kind of like liquid nails I guess) and white tape. The new light kit conceals any hint of a problem before. I did not want my fridge either but I wasn't about to pay out of pocket for a new one. I would definitely call your homeowner's to make sure that it is documented for future reference (hopefully it will never be needed). Good luck with LG and stand your ground with them until it is repaired to your satisfaction. We also have LG front loader washer and dryer and also 2 LG TVs. We WILL NOT purchase any other LG products at this point ever again. They have lost a loyal customer b/c of their attitude and willingness to repair/replace my refridgerator. Best of luck! Erica

And that is the other thing, what about all the bubbled plastic? What a disaster.You see, that's my fear is that it will happen again! I don't even want the refridg anymore. That is a great idea, I am going to contact my Homeowners insur as well. Thank you so much for the idea. The other very sad thing is, I don't have money to replace it. Lori, i can tell you that I wasted about a month going around and around with LG and the different levels of management. You get a bit further with each different person. No one was very helpful or concerned about my "peace of mind" and finally, they offered to remove my fridge and write me a check for $800 which wouldn't cover a new one. I finally suggested that they send someone who could repair the lining of the fridge (with plastic and tape by shaving off the huge bubbles and filling in the cracks) and they installed a new light kit into the ceiling. They assured me that the new light kit will not short out like the previous one. I did contact a lawyer and found out that there is a product liability case with LG for this particular model and I am stil considering whether or not to pursue that route. Basically, I thought I should receive a check for my purchase amount and then I was going to go buy another brand's refrigerator for my peace of mind. In the end, they always win unfortunately. I did contact my homeowner insurance company to let them know that I have a potential fire hazard in my home so they can document if anything were to happen again.
Oh my Gosh...this just happened to me last night. I came home late and opened my fridge to melting parts and the bulbs were hot as hell, everything was ruined. I am so thankful to GOD that I came home when I did. I have 3 dogs and 1 cat, and so help me, if there would have been a fire, LG would be in very big T-R-O-U-B-L-E! So far, LG said they will send a tech out to replace the parts, but what about fixing the problem? I am very afraid to even have the fridge anymore. The representative was very rude on the phone w me. I am so furious right now and I have NO piece of mind!
We just had the same problem, but luckily I caught it before it could do any major damage. My unit is a similar but different model, the LSV22860ST, about three years old. It seems LG tries to change the model fast enough so that a large number of complaints do not trigger a recall. The best solution appears to be to change out the lightbulbs for lower wattage and cooler bulbs, although this does not solve the underlying issue of the lights staying on when the doors are closed.
We just had the same problem with the burning in our LG French door refrigerator. We just called LG and we have a service call set up for tomorrow morning. All plans to leave the house alone today have been changed. This is a serious defect in an appliance and the refrigerator should have been recalled! We too, have several LG appliances all of which have had problems.
Are they waiting for a fatality to happen?
I just noticed this exact scenario this morning and called LG to report the problem and I was SHOCKED to find out that this is a known issue and they will send someone to repair the burned unit. I am thankful that I caught it this morning or else I could have come home to a burning home. What has happened to RECALL notices or notices sent to owners of particular models informing us that there is a known issue and resolving the problem BEFORE your house burns down? We own LG tvs, washer and dryer, and another refrigerator, but I will think twice about purchasing another LG appliance. I am thankful that I paid attention this morning when I pulled the milk out of the fridge when I an normally still half asleep.
I have had the same problem of the lite cover melting and spoiling the food. After the second time that I had to pay for this, I have replaced the lights with 3 watt LED appliance lites. They are not as bright as the 2 60 watt bulbs but are ample.

Really speaking, when we Indians are feeling proud to say that most Foreign companies are earning on the talent of Indian scholars but most renowned company LG is treating their customers of no value. When The company is compaigning themselves to be as best service providers and in their name itself they say LG Care, then why to make such ugly announcments and fool the customers. For past 20days we have made 2complaints for repairing spilt AC (2 nos) for the same problem and is still lying unattended. This complaint is lodged from Mundra (Gujarat) location where the weather shoots up to 46 C and to leave in such rigorious conditions is next to impossible. More smiling is when one complaint is not attended by anyone then how can they ask to lodge another complaint for the same job. When this big brand company is not even bothered to take care of such customers then what forces them to make the people buy their product and struggle who are already in pain after working at location like Mundra. Our complaint nos. are Co9A2900860 & C09B0710701. It looks really unpleasant to lodge this complaint against Major brand of India LG. If this company is humiliating their customers then how can we expect minor brands to flourish the name of our country. Its a real shameful act.

I bought a cell phone LG-KP 320 from a store called mobile shop, Radioshake Hyperone, 6th of october state, Egypt. 2weeks later the soket of the charging place was damaged. I took the cell phone to the repaire center in Egypt 98, MuhI Din Abu El-Ezz St., Mohandissen. They answered this damaged part specfically is not under the warranty, eventhough the waranty is for one year. I agreed to pay 20L.E. just to check the problem, and they will inform me how much I should pay in 4 days from then. I called after 4 days, they answered sorry it is unfixable, the charging suket is connected with the whole board of the cell phone, and the only solution for me to buy an international charger, to charge the battery of he cell phone every time I want to use it!

We have purchased LG Plasma TV 32PC5R on 26th Dec 08, from DK Electronics, Hauz Khas, New Delhi, for Rs 27, 000/-. Our TV picture started giving problem within a few months, and only one black thin band or multiple bands but no picture will come, intermittently - photo enclosed. We logged 1st complaint nearly six months ago. The company checked but said it will not repeat. Since then consistently the complaint has been recurring. We took pictures from camera and showed to compny reps on following complaints. They kept on denying the complaint as the screen was ok for the 5 minutes when the company person came. Then the frequency increased. Then we were given complaint numbers 109C5260942, C0992001518, C09A1307769, during the past two months. The last one was dated 13 Oct 09. On the last three visits the problem reproduced in front of company rep, Shubhprashant, luckily for us. They said they will replace the part but have been giving excuses since then. The rep was more interested in selling us an annual maintanance contract. Once they brought the part and the rep said he had got the wrong one! We have a picture of the part too, enclosed. Today, Nov 1, 09, when we called we were told by their rep Aditya Srivastava and Khitij that the complaint showed as having been solved at this complaint number, and that the problem was of no picture; clearly the complaint definitoin had been tmpered with, and without checking with us the complaint as closed.
Any advise will be helpful.
Please do not buy LG TV's. Their behaviour is not only unprofessional but fradulent. And this is despite the fact that we have additionally an LG 2-door side by side 700 litre fridge and an LG A.C.-BTW we had problems with the A.C. service as well. This is how they treat customers who buy so much equipment from LG.

I bought my wife a LG Dishwasher about two (2) yeras ago and is very happy with the product.
The unit I bough broke down about two weeks ago, indicating a water leak and damage to th unit. Error code EI. I contacted LG to find out wher I could find an agent as I am stayimng in a small town in Limpopo. We do not have the Infrastructure as in big towns. They reccommended an agent in Burgersfort where I stay. The person that gave me the datails was Lee Ho Hip.
I contacted the LG agent, and he send out his people to come and fetch the unit. The nedaxt day, they brought the unit back, and I had to pay the R400 for the "so called" work they did on the machine. According to them, there was a blockage that they cleared, and replaced a filter or something. (I did not pay them the money, as I wanted to test the unit first). My wife tested the unit that night, but it is still giving the same error message, and the noize is still in the machine.
On numerous accounts, I have contacted the Service provider, but until now, he has not come out to check the unit. It has been a week now. What am I to do now? Is this the service I get from LG? The contact details of the Service Provider is: [protected]. (Paul)

I bought my LG Washing Machine WF-S6607 washer & dryer set in May of 2008 and have taken great care of these machines. Just 8 months ago the machine was not working. I've been in contact with LG & Home Depot Complain No. 010023 where they've fixed my problem but they takeout my Machine Sensor and the connection make direct at that time.
Now on 21st of October 2009 when I Turned on my Washing Machine after 5 Second it will be stop and make alarm to come up on “Rinse MODE”. Again I complained to LG & Home Depot where they came and informed me that the Machine cussing trouble due to the Missing Sensor.
I told him, the machine has a 1 year warranty on it. Why not they install at that time when Machine was under warranty. He informs me that Sensor was not available at that time even now! I don't know what else to do. I've wasted so much time of course trying to do everything possible. I've reported to Manager Consumer affairs, but it failed to contact them, I don't know what else I can do! I spent so much money on this machine.
My whole family has been using this brand since ages and such customer services lapses soil the reputation of your company.

Hello, I would just like to bring the following events to your attention for further investigation.
Sunday, October 4 2009:
My LG dishwasher model LD-2052SH starts to “arc” and I see sparks and what seems to be flames underneath. I immediately unplug my machine from the wall as I don’t want to risk starting a fire.
Monday, October 5 2009:
I duly call LG SA to inform them of this problem. [protected] spoke to a very polite lady informing me that the product is still under warranty and my call has been logged and that they have a 48Hour service policy. A technician will contact me before then and arrange for the problem to be fixed.
Friday October 9 2009:
I remember that I had to be called by the service department of LG SA and thus make my own call to follow up. I speak to the service / technical dept supervisor who tells me that Stan will call me back and make an arrangement.
Later the day Stan phones me and arranges for him to come to my house at 4pm Monday 12 October. I duly make arrangements with my wife to come home from work early because our machine will be fixed.
Monday October 12 2009:
Stanley arrives a bit late (traffic is hectic I understand) luckily for me to be home and explain what I saw and the action I took. Machine not opened, Stanley says problem is the wash pump. He will arrange for one the following day and replace it in the afternoon.
Tuesday October 13 2009:
Due to the fact the I have my own business and customers to provide a service, I forgot to phone Stan for a afternoon appointment. Later in the evening I remember and arrange for a 3pm meeting the Wednesday.
Wednesday October 14 2009:
I confirm with Stanley that he will come and fix the machine that afternoon. He says that he will be a bit late and to expect him by 6pm. 6:30 pm (Traffic again) Stanley arrives with the wash pump. The machine gets taken apart and problem inspected. The fault was a plug in the wiring harness which caused a short circuit in the electrics and started to burn the wiring and the protective plastic. Pump will be replaced and Stanley feels that he needs to fix the plug that caused the problem.
We arrange for a time early in the morning to meet and fix the pump and the wiring harness. We agree to 10am and I say that I will phone him to meet.
Thursday October 15 2009:
I arrange my whole day according to the 10am meeting to get my machine fixed. On my way to my house I call Stanley to fix the machine and tell him I will see him in an hour which will then be 10am. I wait at my house for an hour. I call Stan who then tells me that he would only be able to be at my house in the afternoon. My wife then makes arrangements to get off work early. Stanley doesn’t not show up. My dishwasher is standing in my kitchen in pieces. My wife and I can hardly move in there let alone cook. Arrangement made for Friday afternoon.
Friday October 16 2009:
I call Stanley and tell him that I’m on my way home at 1:30pm. Stanley tells me that he will be driving back from Balfour and he will then see me in two hours. That will then be 4pm. At 3:30pm I see two missed calls on my phone. The number not known to me but I call back. The technical manager answers and explains that the wiring harness that needs to be replaced is missing because LG has moved offices. Stanley will be sent to come and assemble my dishwasher and wait for the part.
Conclusion:
I has now been 15 days since my dishwasher very nearly started a fire in my house.
Between my wife and myself we have arranged our time FOUR (4) times according to the service person’s needs. My machine is still not fixed.
It is Monday again. Week 3 and I have not heard a word about how the problem will be resolved.
We cannot do our washing because the tap feeding the washing machine also feeds the dishwasher with a Y-connection. The dishwasher is still not connected because it is still not fixed. My maid that only comes once a week, will not be able to do the ironing. I will have to pay her for another day to come and iron hopefully Saturday as I do not know when the machine will be fixed.
At this stage I feel that I would like to have the dishwasher refunded. As well as my TV, Washing machine and Refrigerator. As all of these carry the LG brand and I have been let down. Numerous times. For one machine. Imagine the future frustration standing in my home.
Never will I buy LG products again. Life’s not good with LG.

I purchased a LG 42LB1DRA LCD TV in June 2007 based upon CNet and other recommendations. January 2008, just 6 months out of warranty, the picture went out. $150 replaced 3 capacitors. The authorized repair center stated LG put in the wrong size of capacitors, meant to last a short period and burn out quickly. The capacitors weren't big enough for the power supply. Now again, October 2009, the remaining 7 capacitors had to be replaced as our picture went out again. LG will not honor any repairs. I stated this product should have been on a product recall list as the cheap undersupplied capacitors were wrong for the TV. We paid $1700 in June 2007 for a tv and have spent over $300 in 2 years for repairs that were a manufacturer defect. All LG states is it's out of warranty. Of course it is - as they put in parts to run 1 year and that's it.
DO NOT BUY FROM LG!

i brought a tv from comet, 3 and a half years ago with a 5 year extended warrety, which over a month ago whe had to make a claim for accidential damage, within a few days they sent someone out, they came then they had to order the part about a week later they come back with the part, but did not fit, so he said he had to go back and order another, so after another well over a week. which as business working days, myself and my partner had to phone them constantly to find out what was going on, they keep blaming it on different departments, and then they would say someone will phone you in 48 hours still no phone call, or even letters, so we rang again, go passed about then said the service centre was closed, so someone will phone at 10 am a certain day, still no phone call had to phone back yet again, then was told there was no information from the enigeer, then 2 hours later manager phones back and they just sent it to service centre, by which it is now going into 4 weeks, and now they are saying they are writing it off, and and that a letter was sent to us on the 8th of september. but still no letter even to todays 24th of september and today they are saying it as not been with them as long as we are saying we feel that we are just being passed about, feel that nothing is gonna come of this, and feel that this is are only to express are feeling and help other people to not make the same mistake as use, by buying extended warrety and buying the tv in the first places from them. as in it is miss sold extended product. we have sent a complaint letter over a week and a half and they say they still have not got it even up to today.

This is my second submission and second complaint. The LG refridgerator we ordered from #1 appliance quit working after 3 days. So, now we have a stove that arrived damaged on 9/8 and still is awaiting pickup so we can get a refund, AND a refridgerator that cost over $2000 that doesn't cool and we lost all the food we had in the freezer. #1 said "take it up with LG, and LG has no service center near us so we are still awaiting for them to find an appliance tech to fix the problem. Do not ever buy from this company. They take your money immediately upon ordering, but do not deliver for a month, then it looks like more months if returns are done. If they do this to 100 people and make interest for 1 month off all their orders...that spells fraud!

We Purchased a 32" Plasma - LG make from Metro Hyderabad May 2008 . We never used it since only my mother watched TV. When the TV Stopped working we complained to LG and they deputed some who came and told us the TV tuner circuit or board has gone due to bad Cable signal and collected Rs 200 for a device that prevents that, he promised to repair the set then one day he came with a board and replaced it only to realise that it did not match so another complaint then he came back and took the board and disappeared . After complaining again and after a month he returned and replaced the board but the set did not even start. Even the DVD we were able to watch is gone.
Then LG sent another mechanic and he ran away after seeing the situation . Today after complaining another time he has come and told mother board is gone. Now they are saying warranty is over and the repairs are chargeable even the mother board which was ok.

i have several complaints about the arrons store in olean new york. First i went to purchase a lg plasma tv they told me my monthly payments would be a certain price. I asked the guy 3 times he says that would be the price. I went in early to make an early payment that gave a a larger price that wasnot the price they told me. I went into arrons the manger chris and another worker sam was very rude to me. Also i was told it would take me a week to get my tv. I said im not paying a week without a tv so we had to load the tv on our truck to get it. I called several times to store mangers and testa leasing they don not call u back. I told arrons to pick up the tv over a week ago they have not picked it up and they are fefuusing to give me july money i paid a head on the tv. I do not recomend anyone to buy anything there. I will tell people i know to go to other stores not arrons. That is the worst bussiness place i have ever seen and over priced.

Our 50" Plasma TV by LG blew the plasma tube because of a "short" per the repair tech. The TV was purchased in Jan 2006, repair is over $1500!
I have several other TV's in our house never a problem and one is 20 years old.
The LG tech said this is common on that model and he reccommends a fan behind the TV to prevent heat build up.
Apparently there is a design issue, yet LG will not fix unless we pay.
The tv is on a stand about 18" from wall, not a heat issue at all, sounds like LG is junk.
Moral to the story, do not buy junk from Korea. Avoid LG
