Membership agreement
We became members in January 2021 and paid USD $9,500. The agreement was that the cost of the suites would be fixed.
We paid a monthly fee towards a balance of USD $5,500, making the total cost of the agreement, USD $15,000.
At the time of the agreement, the daily, per person rate for the all-inclusive fee was USD $75.00.
In October of 2022, we were informed of an increase in the fees from USD $75.00 per person per day, to USD $130.00 per person, per day, an increase of 73%.
I compared the cost of staying at the resort with these new fees to a typical package deal for a comparable resort. It would cost us more to stay at Lifestyle.
I can book a two weeks all inclusive at Punta Cana, flights included, all in for USD $4,850.
If I book with Lifestyle, my cost is:
• Royal Suites - One Bedroom for two weeks: $599 x 2 = $1,198
• All inclusive for two people for two weeks: $130.00 x 2 x 14 = $3,640
• Flight for two people, round trip: $2,647.
• Total: $7,485
That’s an increase cost of USD $2,635.
At the time we signed the deal we were told that the daily, all inclusive rates hadn't changed in years and weren't likely to. I can understand increasing due to inflation, but a 73% increase puts this into the realm of a bad deal.
I've tried working out a solution with management but to no avail. They're sticking to their prices. There's no benefit to me booking with Lifestyle.
I've refused to pay anything further into this deal. I don't intend to use their services or resort. At this stage, I have to consider this as an bad investment.
Desired outcome: I would like that money refunded.
Vacation win win
While I do have a Lifestyle Vacation Plan with LHVC, I found when I got back from vacation there was an unauthorized charge on my credit card for $3890 labelled at Vacation Win Win. The emails I just found were on 1/12/2023. I had no contact by either phone or emails over a Vacation Win Win plan.
I was away on a cruise on 1/12/23 and did not have access to my emails when the document was sent, my credit card charged and documents supposedly signed. I figure Lifestyle Vacation Club must be responsible since they had my credit card from reserving a week at the Cabarete resort in the Dominican Republic. They also must have had a copy of my driver's licence from previous stays so used that for a scammed sign of documents. I was not aware of this, had no access to emails and could not have agreed to this. I had no idea LHVC was committing this kind of fraud. I had stayed there before and their sales tactics can be a little agressive for their resorts, but this is absolute credit card fraud. Hopefully the credit card company can get the charges reversed.
Desired outcome: Please refund my credit card and cancel any documentation of the vacation agreement.
Retaining our money illegally
Hello there,
Our story is pretty similar to other complaints to your Board. We arrived to Punta Cana on February 11, 2023. Once out of the Customs, we were approached by a young man who offered us a free day at Lifestyle Vacation Club. We had to pay US$20/person which were going to be refunded to us at the time of the visit.
We were told to call this man, Olly, the one that met us at the airport, one day before the day we would want to visit in order to place us on the list and arrange transportation.
We booked the visit for February 17, 2023 and were taxied to Cofresi Beach and offered breakfast. One hour later, Olly came back and walked us to another representative, named Alta Gracia. Alta Gracia put us in a golf cart and for the next 5 hours we were taken around the Club and offered alcoholic drinks. We visited the rooms and apartments and the V.I.P benefits once we sign a Membership contract. The Membership, as she presented it to us, was one time payment of the Membership and the tipe of fees that we would be paying. We were also told that we would pay #$250 per week per booking of a Junior Suite which we said it would be enough for the two of us. We were told that we would have to pay $130/day/person for all Inclusive, because the Junior Suite did not have its own kitchen. We asked what happens if we have guests. We were told that there is the option to upgrade to a two bedroom or a suite, paying a difference on top of the $250 fee. We were also showed how the members can rent out their accommodation and make money. We were pleasantly surprised and we agreed to go to the office and see what is the Membership Fee. during the visit I was asked several times how much money/what is my Credit Card limit. Needless to say, when we did not want to pay $23,000, nor $10,000 for membership so then a Manager named Junior showed up and offered a Tryout Package Deal for 23 weeks per year for 25 years, for $4,600 one time payment. We agreed and were signed the contract with what we thought to be the benefits and the flexibility presented to us at the time of the visit of the premises and accommodation options. We were offered an envelope with all the magazines and a CD presenting the properties in Mexico, Dubai and Cabarete where we said that would like to most likely book first, taxied back to to our place. I took a second look at the contract are realized that I was not given the Rules of Occupancy, but I thought it would contain regular conditions like you have at an AirBNB. Monday, February 20, we had the Orientation Video Call while we were home in Canada with Gerald Vincent. So this was when all the restrictions came out of the woodwork, and we were told that it is 23 weeks spread on the 25 years, which would make almost one week/year. There were a few other things that were misrepresented to us at the time of the tour, so I just stated that we want to cancel the Contract. We were told that as per the cancellation policy (which was never discussed at the time of the contract discussions) we are within the 4 days of grace period when we can cancel, but pay the $1600 admin fee. I said that I never saw the Cancellation Clause and and he said that it was in the Rules of Occupancy, whose hard copy we were not given. Gerald e-mailed me only the copy of the pages regarding cancellation policy where on page 31, under a paragraph called "Membership Agreement" (a second one?), at the very bottom of the page the conditions of cancellation are mentioned. I told him that it should have been part of the Contract and not of the Rules. He tried to offer us different other combinations, but at this point we had lost all confidence and trust in his words and realized that we were fooled into signing that contract. Anyways, we finished the video call with our unequivocal request of cancellation of the Contract and refund of our money. The request was never acknowledged and I was sent different kinks with username and passwords to access out benefits, including from InTrave'l Agency, that not only did not open but unsubscribed and blocked. After me blocking the InTrave'l Agency, Gerald Vincent sent me another e-mail wanting to have another videocall which I refused. I kept asking for the Cancellation and the refund. At a certain point he sent me a new Modified Contract with the flexibility that we wanted and 40 weeks for the 25 years. I responded that due to the Breach of Trust, we are not interested in any further offers from LHVC, we just want our money. Then later on, and after threatening that I will involve the Ministerio De Turismo and the Consulate in Toronto, I got an e-mail saying that they have reviewed the contract and that I had no proof of the Breach of Trust or any misrepresentation of the Membership benefits and they see no reason for me to cancel the contract. So, at this time, they are illegally holding on to our money, because even by their "rules" we were within the 4 days of the cancellation grace period which again, conveniently were not specified to be calendar days or business days. The whole contract is ambiguously drafted, on purpose, in order to confuse the potential buyer of membership. The $1,600 for admin has no merit seeing that there 6-7 pages of Contract Templates and there was a Saturday and a Sunday between the date of the signing of Contract and the Monday of the Orientation Call where we had already requested cancellation of the Contract. Unfortunately the document is in .pdf format that it looks like it is not supported y your system. I could attach it to an e-mail if you give me an address.
Desired outcome: Please help us get our money back.
All inclusive
Arrived January 30 for 11 days and Impossible to have white wine at regular bars. Have to walk to VIP pool or beach during the day.
As I drink only white wine and a pina colada once 3 days and my husband drink no alcohol, we do not understand why we can’t have white wine easily during the day
We spoke to VIP services as we are members and no help
Program economic segregation
The sun was shining brightly in the sky and the waves of the ocean were crashing against the shoreline. I had finally escaped to this dream vacation I had been planning for months. I had arrived at the resort looking forward to a week of relaxation and much-needed rest.
But my joy was quickly replaced with disappointment when I was informed that the resort divided its guests into different categories based on the color of their wristbands. As I looked around, it was clear that some guests had access to certain areas, restaurants, and pools that were not available to other guests.
I became overwhelmed with frustration and anger as I realized that I was being discriminated against based on something as arbitrary as the color of my wristband. I felt isolated and alone as I was escorted off the beach and restaurant I had been visiting because I did not have the right wristband.
I felt my heart sink as I realized that the discrimination I faced in my everyday life had followed me here on vacation. I felt humiliated and embarrassed as I watched other guests openly enjoy the same privileges that I was denied. I had come to this resort expecting to be free of the discrimination I faced in my regular life, but instead I was faced with the same racism and prejudice.
I will never vacation at this resort again. No one should have to feel the same sense of isolation and injustice that I felt that day. Vacations should be a time to escape the discrimination and racism of everyday life, not be subjected to it.
Desired outcome: To make a balance or equal reciprocity for all. If people are going to be seperate the land needs to be separate. Also it needs to be clear where colored wristbands can and can not go. No one should be humiliated on their vacation.

L’adhésion nous a coûté 50000$ CAN et on était censé pouvoir voyager partout à prix modique! Mensonges!

Purchase of 55 weeks on 25 years in 2006
Hi, we purchased a timeshare package of 55 weeks in a Junior Suite on 25 years. So far we have used only three weeks. We still have 52 weeks to be used in the next 8 years. We paid 10,000$ cash at the time we sign the contract.
We regret this purchase because it is practicaly impossible to reserve and obtain what we sign for.
We quickly realized that to go to an RCI resort we had to make a reservation years ahead. How can we know what our situation will be in 2-3-years? Then we realized that even trying to go back to LHVC was difficult. A few years after our purchased, we showed up LHVC to request a Junior suite. We were told we had to purchase the all-inclusive, then at $60/day/person. Our contract says the all-inclusive is not included because in 2006 the all-incl. was optional abd we had opted out. We finally got our JSuite without the all-inclus. Now we are trying to go back again and can not obtain anything without paying 130$/day/person for all-inclus. which is now mandatory. It is not our fault if the all-inclus. is not optional anymore.
Desired outcome: We want our contract to be respected. We are responsible to pay 199/week for a Junior Suite and we do not want to pay 260$/day fo food! This is outrageous! We want to be at LHVC in Puerto PLata not in Cabarete or elsewhere. Thanks
Club membership
I signed my membership agreement Jan 8, 2023. After I realized I made a mistake and don't want to be a member I asked to cancel our agreement next day. The LHVC representative told that the contract can not be canceled, threatened me by law suit and offered to delay my payments. I agreed just in case I cannot cancel it I at least will have better option to pay. That happened Jan 9. Today is Jan 11 which is within 4 days of the contract signing date and according to LHVC policy I should be able to cancel the contract freely but they don't willing to accept my cancelation.
Desired outcome: Please refund my purchase of a membership for full amount.
You can cancel within 4 days only, after that your money is gone. Even within those days you will loose about 20% of the price, this part is not refundable.
We came to agreement after discussion with managers.
Please let me know how can o cancel my membership it’s a big mistake to become a member and is very expensive
VIP vacation club
My Name is Adeline Boucard
In September 2020 I went on vacation to Puerto Plata. I stayed at a Lifestyle Vacation Resort club within a day as a check in, and some guy knock on my door. Even on my door said do not disturb. He said he was going to take me to lunch the next thing I know I wind up at a club Office and he kept telling me asking for villas to make sure they show me villas. I didn’t understand what that means. Needless to say I was misled into signing a membership club they had offered to buy my old timeshare which I thought was a good idea at the time after that the sales people try to force me into giving them a lot of money for deposit which they have gotten at least $12,000 of my money . I didn’t understand so the next day I went back and told Ramon I change my mind I wanted to cancel. He said to me it was not an option, so I sell stock. they never told me about they cancel policy in advance , because they said they were not a timeshare They were a vacation club It was never stated upfront and even the agreement was so small they give you a photocopy what you could and could not even read. They are very pushy very aggressive. They don’t like to take no for an answer kept on asking me to give more cash, Thank God my bank would not allow me to increase my credit limit to $4195 for 5 installment payment Otherwise they would’ve got me for $30,000 out of my pocket. I when I got home now I’ve come some financial difficulties so I’ve been trying to reach out to them telling them I change my mind I want my money back so that’s when they are sending the same Roman guy who telling me it was not an option telling me all the cancellation was for four days I missed the deadline It’s very bad over there. They have people chasing tourist like knocking on your door following you around ,unless you signed up for a VIP CLUB you You do not have access to the best restaurants, I pay $500 for 5 days for the all-you-can-eat buffet , there was not much of a Buffet not many selection. The food was bad , and the beaches, unless you are wearing a VIP bracelet. The beach is for regular people is nothing but a three dirty mattresses in a small area off the beach.
Desired outcome: My money back
I 'm sorry I didn't understand your comments

Our right to rescind
Went in to rid ourselves of our timeshares. Since we already had a contract where we had to work through Global Resort Transfer Inc. and it was NOT working they said they had an in house team that would handle it for us. After signing the contract they told us to work with Global Resort Transfer Inc.
We finished the contract, in a rush with papers being thrown in front of us to initial and sign. We had to be back to our room and packed for then to transfer us to a new location (because of contract), we never asked for this, they said people expect it. The next morning (Monday) we went back to rescind. The lady from customer service (i think) said nobody was there and to back to room and they would contact us. As you can guess, that never happened. Not Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and we went back to office on Thursday (last day to rescind) and saw Jose Gonzalez. He said to go back to room and write up modifications for the contract that would make us happy to continue with the contract. We did and when Jose arrived we showed him our list (everything revolved around disposing of our timeshares). He said he could not OK this until legal approved. Jose went back to office then returned and told us legal was gone for the day and he would have to talk to them in morning. Jose signed that we had an extended recission period until MODIFICATIONS were made to the contract, they never were made. (We never saw Jose again and nobody knew where he was) Finally our last day there Jeffry Nunez (another new person, like every step of the way) took over. He showed us the contract and it was amended (spelling of timeshares and locations they were to handle which they entered incorrectly. Like the spelling of Wyndam and New Smyrna Beach rather than Smyrna Beach, etc. We signed a paper that we accepted the AMENDED contract. No modifications were ever made. And when we tried to exercise our rescission (per contract with Jose) they would not and never have contacted us to resolve the issue. We sent Registered mail, regular mail, their chat service and email and NO response.
Desired outcome: We should get to rescind. Villa charge should only be Sunday night.

And as of today 2/10/23 STILL not a word! What kind of a company is this... I suppose a fraudulent one.
As of January 30, 2023 still NO reply. It is like they are out of business, but they are there to steal your money!

Put up in a non-working villa
We arrived late on 10/22/22. We were put in a 3 bedroom villa. One bathroom had a sewer smell to it. The next day our water ran out. We called and waited for a repair. The bathroom sink was plunged and black scum came out of it. They refilled the water tank but it ran out again later that day. We called every day until they finally gave a new villa on day 5 of our week visit. Our concierge Rosmelinda promised us a voucher at checkout for our all-inclusive fees but of course it was not there at checkout and nobody had any idea why we would get one. I left 2 messages for the manager but did not receive a call back. I chatted with customer service and was told they never give out vouchers. Lie after lie and extremely poor service. I paid full price for a non-working villa for 5 of our 7 days there.
Desired outcome: Refund of resort fees
A world of scams and deception, we was forced with lies and deception
Is it worth it to buy a membership for lifestyle luxury vacation club?
I worked in the Time Share industry for 12 years. Never ever by a Time Share. Not from Marriott or anyone else
Time shares have maintenance fees. Those fees are almost as much as the cost of renting the SAME ROOM. All you really get for your $20,000 time share purchase is about a 15% discount on the room.
And those maintenance fees are in perpetuity — i.e. forever. So when you die your kids’ll be stuck with it.

Penthouse purchase March 2022
We would like a response asap regarding the $23,000. we spent for a penthouse at DR. The issue is we were told a lie that the purchase will allow us to be able to travel all over the world for the price per week we purchased, 250.00. This was not true as we have found all we got was $250 a week is good only for DR resort only. The trips that were free to Cancun and Dubai are not available, etc. We want to be free from the last part of the scam that we still owe for WinWin Vacation club that is being charged for payment for the next 10 years to a TJMaxx card... this club is 3,200. but after 10 years will cost over 10,000. This was not explained and how they can bill for future payments is beyond me. We want our money back. We were sold something we cannot use and in the meantime we have nothing to show but access to DR resort which we do not want to go back to EVER! Please respond so we can discuss how to be reimbursed for such a lie.
Desired outcome: Want to have this 23,000. refunded and the 3,200. canceled asap.
Lifestyles Holiday Vacation Club Dominican Republic
We traveled to Punta Cana LHVC March 2022 and was offered a "tour" of the resort by a high pressured sales person who was very pushy and offered drinks to us all while promising if we purchased a membership we would be able to travel all over the world only paying the penthouse weekly fee of $250.00. We were not told we would have our credit card billed for the next 10 years to pay off a Win-win membership and that the fees would include another travel company Intravel membership as well. We were also shown certificates offering 3 free weeks to use the resort in Dubai and Cancun as well and these certificates were removed from the paperwork during the chaos with having the paperwork reviewed and organized. We now own a Penthouse at Punta Cana only for only $23000. and our credit card is billed 79.00 every month for 10 years for a $3000. Win-Win membership that over 10 years will cost us $10,000.! What a SCAM! Beware if you visit this resort, don't purchase anything as they are all liars and scammers. We offered to pay cash and they insisted on using our credit cards in order to get more cash over time.
Desired outcome: We want our money back and want to have our WinWin membership canceled ASAP. We were lied to and have no interest in returning to the Punta Cana resort. We don't want the Penthouse.
Cancelation policy is a Fraud
I went there with my family for a day pass trip “All Inclusive”, I signed up for the membership and tried to cancel the next day, they give you a big book and Rush you to sign, when I try to cancel the cost I would need to pay was almost as high as what I paid for the membership. I tried to take a cheaper one, and they stated they don’t go down with membership. Now I’m stuck with a membership and a debt that I’m sure, I won’t be enjoying.
Even though they said I had 4 days to cancel, they refused to do so even within 24 hours.
Desired outcome: Cancel membership and give my money back.
Part of what they did with me / reassured with out & out lies. AND now have to deal with collection agency for owing them 1/3 more after they ripped me off for $12000+...SCOUNDRELS!
timeshare
My family went there from our RCI timeshare and ended up joining the LHVC timeshare and sold our RCI timeshare to them. we never had our orientation while we were on the resort and was there 5 additional days after buying into this timeshare. when we got back to the states and a few months later they contacted us to do the orientation and once we found out that the things that was told to us was lies and the supervisor did not want to honor what we was told we asked to cancel and give us our money back. they refused and said we had 4 days to cancel but it we would have had our orientation while we was there we would have cancelled and then we would never had paid in full. we were never told that we had to email our deeds to a different company and now we are being charged late fees and i can not get a straight answer from this company. i ask questions but all they keep saying is they can not cancel it and give our money back. this goes all the way back to April of 2021 and i have emailed the supervisor manager and have had for an update for almost a month to finally getting a response that someone be contacting me asap well today i get an email from someone basically not answering none of my questions but stating that we had 4 days to cancel the contract. keep in mind i have only have waited almost a month to get a lame response that didn't even acknowledge the lies they have told my family. i hope no one buys into their lies stay with your current timeshare as it is way cheaper. with RCI it would cost us $249 for a 7 day plus the all-inclusive but now it is going to cost us over a $1000 plus the all inclusive. we were sold a big dream for them to piss on us at the end. Now my family doesn't even want to go to this resort and i completely understand as i don't want to do business with LIARS.
Desired outcome: give us our money backhonor us what your salesman told us
Club membership refund
On June 3, 2021, we purchased a club membership with Lifestyle Luxury Vacation Club (LLVC) which we later found that the company name was Lifestyle Holiday Vacation Club. Before we signed the agreement, we asked what would happen if we later did not want the membership and we were told that we could just sell it back for a full refund.
On May 19, 2022, we sent an email to two of the four VIP managers stating that we want to sell our membership back and get our refund as initially told we would be able to do. No response received.
On May 21, 2022, we sent a similar email to all four of the VIP managers letting them know that we want to sell our membership back for a refund as initially noted and stated on the agreement we signed. Have not received a response nor an acknowledgement. On this same day, I submitted an inquiry/complaint on the current website - https://lifestyleluxuryvacationclub.com/, requesting for assistance in obtaining a refund for our membership fees.
Desired outcome: Refund
Hi can you please advise me on how to cancel this membership I paid $55,000 2 months ago now they say I cannot cancel and get a refund customer service is very bad. Please email me at argentinaliranzo@ gmail com thank you
Lifestyle Luxury Vacation Club/ Hilton Habtoor City Scam Alert
This is not technically a scam, but the act of trying to make you sign an actual contract (under UAE law) in which you will get scammed/robbed/fleeced in every possible way. This is the reason why they still have managed to keep it going. Secondly, they are targeting Western tourists exclusively, who wont have the time/resources to fight legally in the UAE. Thirdly, they seem to have the full cooperation of the interests running the Hilton in Al Habtoor City. Now the Habtoors are rich people and you may wonder why they would allow their premises and their names being used in the scam rather than leaving it to some Lebanese/Egyptian habibis. Maybe they are facing hard times. Or maybe their just being drunkenly negligent. Or maybe they do this sort of thing. They love doing business with Israel and even rushed to open an office there when ties normalized. Currently they are pushing EVs which makes no sense (UAE is a fossil fuel economy duh...or maybe they dislike the fossil fuel industry which gave birth to the modern UAE). Whether or not thet are Jewish is matter of opinion. Their scams reek of something non-Emiraati. Also, these folks are literally drenched in booze (Even rotten Muslims tend to be more discreet about booze).
So this is how it works. Ever heard of a vacation timeshare? An American company called RCI sells them. You can sign up all by yourself right here. But not so fast.
First you arrive in Dubai airport and notice a legit looking Vacation Club called Lifestyle Luxury Vacations wanting to give you some offers and get your contact info. But look closely, they are only approaching travellers who look loaded and they confirm that you have citizenship of some Western country.
Next, they send a taxi to a free lunch at at the Hilton at Al Habtoor city and a promised free marine cruise (The three buildings including the Hilton are run by the Habtoor family). You assume that you may get to see some good vacation/travel options, but no, they want to talk to you one-on-one. They first confirm that you are intend a Western citizenship holder and not some Third world jumper. This is the point where I got spooked.
The idea behind getting you on the 39th floor of the Hilton is to wow you. These couldnt be some Lebanese/Egyptian habibis. The Habtoors have all the money in the world, you must be grateful for the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity yada yada.
You notice they have also called in other travellers who also get the one-on-one treatment. The person talking is usually a Lebanese Habibi. His "manager" is a creepy Haitian who looks like a pimp. And his higher ups appear to be either Egyptians or Emiraatis. There is no lunch. Just a snack.
They are trying to sell you an RCI membership for approximately $10000 USD. On the RCI website, a one year subscription is for $159 USD. But they never use the name RCI. I figured out after noting the website the salesman was logging into.
But thats not all. This is supposed to be an exclusive once-in-a-lifetime offer from Al-Habtoor himself. Some of the additional benefits are described here. There is definitely some kind of connection to the Dominican Republic (so thats where the Haitian comes into the picture). But remember, the aforementioned link leaves out alot of what is promised, which is...
Complimentary stay at "5 Star" Al-Habtoor properties. Yes, they sell the scam as one being generously offered by Habtoor so that plebs can also experience his garish, boozy and distasteful hotels. Yes, they try to sell the package as a Habtoor package.
You get to experience being taxied in a Bentley which i assume runs smoother than a Camry.
You get vacations in the Dominican Republic even though you never intended to visit that godforsaken country in the first place.
You get discount on boozing (liver cirrhosis here I come).
No mention of prostitutes but I get the feeling they are on the menu.
They become more pressuring and insistent. You must sign the 100 page contract right now (Spoiler: it has to be signed in UAE to be legally enforceable...they cant let you walk away or sign it online later).
The more reluctant you get, the more the price drops. I managed to bring it to $1200 just for giggles.
You will also notice the salesman getting cagey. For example, I am allowed to glance at the 100 page contract only if I promise to sign it! I am not allowed to keep any brochures or even take photographs of it because it explicitly links the scam to the Habtoor properties. Their website on the other hand steers clear of the Habtoors but you will eventually find them lurking. For example they promise access to the cheesy La Perle Circus, which is on a Habtoor property. They promise access to the Andreaas Beach Club, which is again a Habtoor property. Lifestyle Luxury Vacation Club is itself on the 39th floor of the Hilton Al Habtoor City.
I also managed to talk the salesman into giving a free tour of the hotels, just for sheer amusement of peeking at what kind of creatures inhabit this world. It is clear that the salesman had
Access to all Habtoor hotels.
Was well known by hotel staff.
Organized the meeting in a special area of the Hilton Habtoor.
When you refuse and walk out, you will notice the Egyptians or Emiraati higher ups shaking their heads at the "loss."
They will hope you just go home but if you create a scene, you will get your free taxi back. I managed to make a useful friend with the taxi driver who confirmed what was going on.
As for the cruise vouchers, they are given but since you did not sign up on losing $10,000, they are never arranged. The organizers simply ghost you.
This is my experience. But there is more:
Life style holiday vacation club SCAM!!
My complaint is regarding Lifestyle vacation club and it's third party lender Trinity resort services. My family and I went on a vacation to Dominican Republic. At the resort where we stayed (viva wyndam tangerine) there was a guy there that approached us and invited us to the near by resort life style hotel for an afternoon of lunch and a chance to see their property so we can possible book our next vacation there after doing a comparison. We got there and was offered drinks right away and thrown over to a sales guy who took us on a tour and kept asking if we wanted more drinks, he then sat us down and started to fire away a sales pitch and tried to get us to purchase a membership that he swore was not a timeshare, my husband and i was hesitant and kept insisting and at times sounded downright demanding, during the meeting i got this awful headache and started feeling woozy, he kept us there for 4hrs and before i knew it i was purchasing a membership worth $11,000, halfway through looking at the agreement i started feeling like this was wrong and i should back out so i started asking additional questions to the lady who brought the paperwork told me to hold on then proceed to bring the same sales guy back to convince me again, i had such a headache and started to feel cold so i ended up signing the papers because we had no way to get back to the hotel unless they dropped us back because they had picked us up. I thought i better sign this so they can take me back to my hotel. Needless to say when i got back from my vacation and sobered up i realized the magnitude of what transpired and felt sick to my stomach. I emailed lifestyle hotel asking to cancel my membership they said no that the 4 days had pass and if they did they would minus 4,000 for admin fees, and contract fee. I called my m/c company and that's when i found out that the charge on my card was from trinity resort and i have 14 days to cancel, i have called and email trinity resort services and no reply to this day.
Vacationers beware of these sales people on the resorts that innocently invite you to come to their resort for a day, its to intoxicate you and swindle you out of your hard earned money
Desired outcome: I want my money back and my contract dissolved
Yup. They told us we had 3 days to change our minds and get our money back. I signed the contract and dozens of pages of their book and paid the fees, then went back to my room and did more research and saw all of the negative reviews. Decided it was not for us, Went back the next day for the promised refund but NOOOOO! On one of the many pages we had initialed, they showed me that I would owe thousands in admin and contract fees! These people are NOT truthful. They also charged us for another vacation club at $4000 which we were never advised of and made it seem like this was part of the transaction. STAY AWAY!
Lifestyle Vacation Club Scam
I went on holiday at Lifestyle Vacation Club in Puerto Plata in December of 2015. While on vacation on Dec. 22, 2015, we were approached and offered a tour of the facility and surrounding area. When we declined they started putting the pressure on and asked for 5 mins of our time to talk about how great the tour is and the tour options off the resort. During those 5 mins they offered us a beverage. I accepted a Jim Beam and soda. This was my first drink that day. After consuming half the beverage, we reluctantly agreed. When we were headed to the golf cart, they urged me to take my beverage with me and enjoy it on the resort tour so I did. By the time we got to an offsite luxurious yacht club location (red flag, we were the only ones there), they broke out the contract. By this point they brought me a 2nd Jim Beam and soda as they talked through more of the promises of a VIP membership. The villas, the private chefs, the opportunity to rent out and make money back, no black out weeks, the VIP limos to and from airports, VIP bottle service, etc... Half way through my 2nd drink I blacked out. While blacked out from their spiked drinks, they coaxed me into handing over my credit card which they ran for $11,000 USD. I have the document that says, "I Authorize to deduct from my credit card in favor of CMS- Lifestyle Holidays Escrow Agency Inc" and it is blank, it was never signed or authorized by me. I tried the next day to cancel with no success and again when I got back to the States by calling a company representative with no success. I would like a refund for the full amount paid.
Desired outcome: Please refund my money for the full $11,000 USD.
Same thing happened to me and my wife , we were confronted by a guy at viva resort who offered us food at a different hotel .
When we arrived at the hotel the first thing they did was to offer us alcohol and gave us a tour of the hotel then they gave us food ,30 minutes later we were in an office.
They made us sign papers
And ask me to pay them 8000 grand, I told them that that was a lot of money so he lowered down to 4600 grand so some how I agreed after so many insistence from the manager.. I do no remember what was said during that …they gave me 20 years for my membership after saying it was only for 4 years.
I want my money back now…
Lifestyle holiday vacation club/vacation win win
I was lured to their property in cofresi puerto plata on 01/02/2022 by one of their agents at the resort where I was staying, under the promise of a day pass in a sister property, but when I got there I was greeted by a salesman who started giving me spiked drinks and give me a 5 hour sales pitch while taking me around the property. I told them several times I wasn’t interested but he kept putting pressure and asking personal financial information. I kept refusing so he brought two more people to put pressure on me, I fell dizzy and kept refusing but they kept giving me different prices and offers to make me sign. I was offered a contract for 8k and the agent took my card and swiped it for a split payment under two different companies. So when I was back in my senses the next day once the drug they gave me had cleared up and went back there to try to cancel, the agent took me away to a baseman so the prospected people to be scam wouldn’t hear me complaining. Then she proceeded to be patronizing and give me the run around not to cancel the contract. I knew I had 4 days to cancel but they claim I would be charge a fee of 1600 plus the 3890 from the second company, I never agreed to make business with. The agent kept giving me excuses and trying to trap me with other contract but I had to take my flight. I tried to cancel the transaction with my credit card but They didn’t help me as they claim the second company transaction was non refundable, even tho I never agreed to buy that additional product. They are scammers and something had to be done so this doesn’t happen to other people. They lure you under false pretenses, put an incredible amount of pressure, force you to sign a contract under the influence of spiked alcohol, and then charge you under two companies to keep your money. Stay away from them!
Desired outcome: Refund my 3890 from the company I didn’t agree to make business with. I already had to pay $1600 cancellation in fees for a product I never wanted
Absolutely unethical, lying scoundrels!
They should all be in jailer what they put us through...as with many many others.
So what happened to the contract you signed?
Could they sue you or what?
I ask you because the same thing happened to me and I like to know if those contracts are illegals?

Hi, it IS a bad investment. My experience with them was to get them off my back and cancel but I didn’t cancel right away and later I couldn’t. If you don’t pay, they’ll send a collection agency after you, based in USA. I’m in the process of disputing my balance of $2700 which I refused to pay after I had gifted them around $8800. We’ll see if I succeed. I plan on fighting them tooth and nail. The way they conduct their business is unethical and predatory.
