School pictures
You pride yourselves on this online ordering and every year it is never right, we never get our pictures I have to call every year. I just spent 40 min. on the phone trying to understand a foreigner! I have spent thousands of dollars over the years with your company and now it is by far the worst it has ever been. The prices are sky high and you never can get an order right. This was the last year I will ever order pictures from your company!

School photos are getting more and more ridiculous
For the money Lifetouch is charging for the pictures, they have to be outstanding. Good resolution and photographer has to be an experienced one.
Also since Lifetouch teamed up with Shutterfly, you can order your pictures through Shutterfly. But how can you customize the pictures if school photos have Lifetouch logos on them. Everything clashes! Who thought of that brilliant idea? Can we fire them? We take school pictures every year for a long time now. NOT ONE has logos on digital files. That way you can customize any way you want on Shutterfly and it's gonna come out good. All of a sudden 2022 decided to be different. So put the school years "2022-23" and "Lifetouch" logos on the back of the prints. Why do they have to kill the whole shot? And they put those on 2 bottom corners. My daughter's photo was like two of her sleeves of her t-shirt had those logos ON HER SHIRT IN REAL LIFE! And then when you talk to customer service, apparently they can't remove those. NOWHERE in the preview OR the order it says that the logos are gonna be on the final print OR the digital file. Yet when it's all paid for - that's exactly what you are getting. 2 digital files are $30. Enough said. I'm not even ordering prints. THOSE ARE DIGITAL! And I had to pay somebody else to remove and retouch logos and flyaway hair out of those pictures! It's getting ridiculous.
She's gonna stay the same age on all pictures all the way to high school.
Desired outcome: I would like for company not to put logos on the photos anymore, just like it was before.
School pictures
I have two children in different grades. Yet both sets of pictures look like someone ruffled both of my children's hair then snapped the picture. Every year the pictures gets worse. Does your photographer not give a care about what photos they produce? Seriously, the pictures suck and of course no info on picture retake day available. Sorry not sorry, I guess I will just have to find another company to take my children's pictures and we can just skip the over-priced and crappy pictures your company produces. FYI not my first complaint to your company. It will be my last though.

Sports photos
Once again, our school district used lifetouch for yearbook photos and sports photos. They are ridiculously poor quality. I mean terrible. The team photos are blurry to the point you cannot make out individual faces. The individual photos are unacceptable. They were taken in the bright outdoors yet the players have such a shadow on them you can't even see their uniforms. This is one of my kids senior year and she is cheer captain and the quality of the photos is truly heartbreaking.
Desired outcome: Better quality photos.
Photography
My son goes to a daycare and my daughter goes to public schools. LifeTouch went to both to take school pictures. I have to say these were probably the WORSE pictures I've ever seen. All the parents complained amongst each other and the teachers. Just terrible. I guess it's an acceptable photo when your kid has their eyes shut. My daughters school picture, her headband isn't even in the correct place on her head. Wouldn't you think the photographer would stop, adjust her headband and encourage her to smile. This is just a terrible company and I've asked our daycare to start using someone else who wants to take good pictures. If you would like to speak with me you can reach me at [edited]. Desired outcome: Get a photographer who actually cares about what their doing.
School Pictures
My son got his school pictures taken in mid September. I order and pay for these pictures, which is an astronomical amount for a few pictures. The money is taken out of my account right away. When he is supposed to bring his pictures home 3 weeks later, the only thing he has is a slip saying here is the picture, buy these pictures. I tried the chat feature at Lifetouch which was absolutely no help. I called and the woman explained to me that his name wasn't matched with his picture. What I want to know is, then what? Apparently nothing happens after that. No one contacts you about these pictures or anything. So now we have to wait another month to get the pictures. I shouldn't have to pay for this, I should get my money back.
Desired outcome: I get a full refund and my pictures in the mail.
My daughters high school pictures
The quality of these photos for the the price is extremely poor. She clearly has a green shirt on and the pictures we were presented with show her shirt is gray? How can the quality of the digital camera be so poor that it would turn a green shirt gray?

School photo
I am so disappointed because I can’t log into my account and message them or see my order. They don’t show a email on their website and only allow the school to message them by forcing you to pick what role you work at the school. They sent me a picture of my son in landscape with the wrong background and this one is so corny. It was the only photo I ordered for a wall and the rest are just magnets. I hate this background! I am not available during their business hours as I am a flat rate worker and cannot stop working unless it’s an emergency. They have no problem letting me into the part where you can order and pay the money but no way to correct orders that are messed up. I paid extra fee for the nicer touch up. These are kind of important years of my child’s life that I want to capture and they’re making it complicated when it doesn’t need to be complicated.
Desired outcome: I would like the 8 x 10 landscape photo of my son with the fall background with the high priced touchup that I paid for.
JC Penney's studio quality and service
The employee at the studio was very personable, efficient, and precise in routine. However, the quality of the photo prints were noticeably lower quality than that of our other family portraits taken in the past at JC Penney's for several years. Also, the 3 10 X 13s were creased as though they had been crammed into the envelope. I just spent 45 minutes on the internet help. I was most concerned about repeating future sittings at JC Penney's (I bought the club plan that lasts 2 years). This summer at camp we took, with a cell phone a family picture that was crisp. That picture is much better quality that the JC Penney portrait. I had to draw an x on my 10 X 13 print, take a picture of it, and attach to an email in order to get it replaced so I would have it without the crease. That is fine I get that, but I had to request an additional email stating what is being done along with a case number. I feel like I just ruined my picture and now I am hoping that it will be replaced. I have little confidence after this experience. The is more CYA than there is of customer care.
Desired outcome: First I hope to get the replacement picture. I wish to hope that I can have a better experience. I hope that customers who see this will tell me that I had an unusual experience and should have better experience next time.
Trainer
Aug. 30, 2022: Dodge City, KS: I overheard the lifetouch team as they were breaking down, the trainers name was shawna or Shawnee. She really made the young man she was training feel badly about his disability. He has a TBI (from what I gathered) and she basically told him he shouldn’t work there because he couldn’t retain things! His memory has issues from what we over heard in the hall. We were mortified for him. I left with my friend and saw him less than 15 minutes later. His window was cracked and he was sobbing to someone on the phone. My heart BROKE when he asked “mom am I dumb?” Made me ill.
Just in case you want to know Mr. Ryan? Our “speciallyabled” kiddos LOVED you. You did a wonderful job, and your trainer should be demoted or fired. We turned at the light and heard nothing else. I’m ashamed I should have went in and said something right there! I do not work at the middle school though. Tried to file it online and was given a number that we could not reach anyone.
Desired outcome: Trainer should be let go or educated about ANY special needs and demoted. I would NEVER allow her near my own child who also has special needs and will be making sure next year she isn’t around my kids. What a terrible person.
The photos that I received cut off my granddaughter's right hand
My granddaughter attends Youth's Benefit Elementary School, and she had her pictures taken in her kindergarten class. I ordered the pictures

I was only given the option of one pose, but several different backgrounds. I placed my order and I received them over the weekend. In the pictures that I received her right hand, which is up in the air in the pose it cut off, so the pictures look ridicules. The hand was not cut off in the prints that I looked at and picked for my order

Photographer was inexperienced and refused to use background we specified (plain white) even after phone call and at sitting. He was insistent on themes and props like little explorer, which we communicated several times we did NOT want! He used cheesy props and backgrounds that looked cheap and dirty AND he wanted a toddler to do specific poses instead of capturing the child’s personality. On top of that the props (hats, pen, and binoculars BLOCKED most is not all of our kid’s face! Lifetouch sucks because they want to send use back to the SAME studio and can’t guarantee we won’t get the same photographer who I doubt had a background check done!

Prek class photo
I ordered my child's class picture online on 4/29/22. The picture was taken on 5/5/22 and orders were distributed to students on 5/26/22. However, my child did not receive one. I asked her teacher and she didn't know why we never received a photo. I contacted LifeTouch myself the following week and they were unable to locate her class photo because there was no photo under the order number. I provided the picture day id and they STIILL could not locate it even with the school name, teachers name, child name, etc..I've called multiple times and each time I get the same response: they can't locate the photo and call back after 2-3 days. I called AGAIN today 6/15/22 and they still cannot locate her class photo 3 weeks later. I honestly don't understand how this happened. I don't want a refund because I want the only photo of my child with classmates she will never be in a picture with again. So disappointed.

School id badge
I called 4 times trying to get a new school ID for my daughter. This is what the school instructed me to do. I was told several times that the ID was being mailed. The ID never showed up and it’s been months. It’s ridiculous that a company this large, that services many schools cannot mail a simple ID to a child. I even offered to pay for the ID. I’ll need is a school ID for my child with her spring picture on it. Is this really that difficult for a big company? If it is then you guys probably shouldn’t be running a company.

Missing photo and site doesn't work
I ordered my great grandson's preK pics at least 2 months ago. The one with his cap and gown is the one I wanted more than any of them but, I ordered several poses including the one with cap and gown. I get the photos and the ones I got were great but, the one with the cap and gown not in the package. I have tried many times to order it and nothing works. Called many times and spoken with several different people and given new codes to use and still can't get on the site. Then, all of a sudden the site doesn't even work anymore. I have called several times about this and even chatted with them on the site in text. Everyone of them said they would report it. I was able to get the pic in my cart but, it will not let me check out. The page just keeps refreshing over and over. What does it take to get my pic please? He was taken March 20 2022 and these are the only memories I have of him and that one in his cap and gown is the one I will cherish the most. If I can ever get it! Please help me! I am including his pic that I took a picture of when I was online looking at them on their site. Not a clear pic since it was taken of a pic on their site but, you can see the one I am looking for. If I could just get to my cart to check out I will gladly pay for the ones in the cart. Please help me before it is gone forever... just like he is now. My heart is breaking!

Hello,
I am Sara Gonzalez, the administrative assistant at Dozier-Libbey Medical High School. Our Point of contact for Lifetouch is Jenny Wright. I had such a good experience with Lifetouch at the Middle School that I didn't think I would ever have as many issues as I did coming over to the High School. The year started, Rocky. In our 1st photo session, I told Jenny that we would take pictures of all the students one day and catch any students that could not be here the following day.
We have a total of 750 students. Lifetouch sent us 2 people. 1 to photograph and the other to print ID because they couldn't get the second camera up and running. There were so many errors these days. We had photos of students' foreheads cut off, pictures of students blinking, and photographs of students' t-shirts and no face. It was complete and utter chaos. We just received photos of our senior Panoramic, and it's not the best picture of them. Before Lifetouch left us, they showed us a lovely picture of our students in the formation of a 22, which is not the picture we received. I emailed Jenny about the mix-up, and she quickly responded and wanted to see the photo sent to us. I took a picture and sent I to her and heard nothing back from her. Fast forward to Senior Prom that just happened on 5/20. Jenny had called me a few weeks before going over the dates and times because she was afraid that the team might get stuck on the boat. I assured her that we would give them enough time to get off. That was the last we spoke about prom. Lifetouch never showed up to our prom. Our teacher had to take out her phone and begin to take pictures of the students as they got into the event! That is my last straw with Lifetouch. We worked so hard to put the event together, and to have such unprofessionalism is entirely unacceptable. Had we been notified ahead of time that Lifetouch would not be there, we would have booked a different photographer for the students.
I emailed and let her know that no one showed up and asked about the status of the mix-up for the pictures, and I have not received any response. A teacher of ours who had Jenny's personal number called and texted her. We received a weird message back the Manager had called them off? We received no notice of cancellation from Lifetouch for this event. I signed a new contract to continue with Lifetouch for the next year, and I'm fully regretting it because if this is how it's going to be, I would instead go with a different company that will take better care of us.
Desired outcome: I would like to be released from the contract so I may chose another Company to do photos for us.

We were disappointed with the 5th grade picture pose. Crossed arms should not be required for school pictures. It looks like a judgemental or rebellious pose.

Privacy violations and terrible customer service
The company sent me a picture of a random child even though I had never heard of the company before or signed up for any account or service. I can't believe they sent photos of someone's kid to a stranger, this is very unsafe and a privacy violation. I received this email on May 6th, 2022 at 7:02am.
I reported the incident to their customer service which only served to waste hours of my time with no result.

When the pictures finally arrived they were of a child that I do not know. I'm not understanding why I can't receive what I paid for.
