Microsoft email from general manager, public/ online sector uk derrick mccourt

This email states that I have won 845, 000.00 GBP in an Online Microsoft Award 2015. It also asks me to provide my personal details and not to tell anyone else about this to avoid the draw being void. I live in Australia and am sick and tired of these spam mails. It also includes a photo of both Derrick McCourt - General Manager, Public/Online Sector UK, and is signed by Michel Van Der Bel - Managing Director. Apparently at the bottom of this spam email it states that it was sponsored by Satya Nadella who is apparently the CEO/Chairman that sponsored this draw. I need for you to have this reported to the proper authorities before I go to my authorities and report being spammed. I would like you to report back to me at: jf.[protected]@bigpond.com Debra Fisher

Microsoft unauthorized credit card charges

My visa credit card has an unauthorised credit card payment made at Microsoft - 39 Miami, Miami, Fl. merchant reference 2524635 . The charge to my account was US dollars 1453.05 and the information I have is that 'signature used' as opposed to PIN. This charge was made to my account on November 20, 2015. I returned from the US on November 7th and I have currently have my card in my possession. How then could it be physically used for several transactions last week. I would hope that Microsoft have cctv and could track the individual who presented the card - assuming they were also asked for additional identification as is normal.

Microsoft made a withdrawal from my checking account. I told them I do not have Xbox nor have I ever ordered anything from them. He asked for my card # and told me that they made no charge to that card. I gave him all the info and all he said was sorry. I'm on a fixed income and now I will not have enough money to pay my bills for the rest of the month. I am pissed! I need my $64.64 back in my account now.

Microsoft xbox one controller

My son saved up to buy a fancy Xbox controller . Just out of the box a few weeks it stopped working . Brought it back to the store after buying the extended warranty . AS the thing was not 90 days old yet had to deal with Microsoft . Spent three hours on the phone with tec support . Nice guy did what he could so it was set up to get a new one . Then came the bomb shell, you being my son must pay the shipping . What is this about it's new it's not working you can't bring it back you have to pay half the price you paid for it to return it . I got a better idea we all wise up and stop dealing with Microsoft . Shame on you Microsoft ripping off kids for there hard earned allowance .

Microsoft surface pro 4 pre-order

I'd like to express my huge disappointment and terrible customer interaction I experienced with Microsoft recently. I pre ordered the Microsoft Surface Pro 4 on 6 November, encouraged by your great advertising and marketing that you will deliver promptly on the release day. These are the facts of my experience with Microsoft: - the pre order was processed smoothly and received an email shortly after to confirm order - around ten hours later, I received an email stating you were having problems processing my order due to difficulties with my payment - I quickly logged into my PayPal accounts to verify the payments had been processed and saw your transaction had been authorized, order placed and payment pending - at this point, I tried to update my order payment details and I received an email advising my order was cancelled - I called customer service to solve this issue, your consultant advised my order was fine, she could see it was being processed and it will be delivered as promised- reference number SRX1311914184ID. An email was sent to support my call and its outcome - the next morning, I checked the order status and to my annoyance and shock it still shows as CANCELLED - I contacted customer service again to finally resolve this issue that should not be happening - your consultant advised I had to order the product again as the previous one had been cancelled. NOT HAPPY! The payment has been suspended in my account and I have no access to these funds until it is cleared. WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOUR SERVICE? I am a supporter and fan of your products, have faith in your integrity and customer satisfaction. However, I find myself totally dissatisfied, disappointed in Microsoft and cannot believe the incompetence from your team. I expect so much more from your brand. I have now decided not to order the product and my faith in Microsoft has forever been marred.

Microsoft ms office 2016 for mac - sold under false pretenses

Before purchasing MS Office Home & Student 2016 for Mac, A Microsoft Sales rep. answered "yes" to some very direct questions about being able to record macros in this version of Excel. After purchasing the office, I quickly realized the version of Excel that comes with this MS Office suite does not have the ability to record macros. My questions are: is this version of Excel 2016 supposed to have the ability to record macros If "YES", then my version is flawed and needs repairing if "NO" then this product was mis-represented to me by the MS Sales Rep. and I will need: a full refund - WITHOUT deactivating the purchased products (which I have come to understand may not be an option), or be provided a version of Excel that does have the ability to record macros. I should also mention that I spent over 6 hours online, spoke with over 20 different MS "help" agents - many of whom simply disconnected the line, and NOT A SINGLE ONE could answer the basic question I have above. The only alternative I was provided was to create a single online support ticket for $499 - just to ask a question, and not dealing at all with the issue that the product sold doesn't operate as advertised. Misrepresenting such a product is fraud - plain and simple. Forcing me to pay $499 to deal with the problem is extortion. Microsoft should be incredibly ashamed on both fronts! You can not sell a car to someone saying it comes with a steering wheel, and provide one without - only to ask for more $$$ to see if that model of car was supposed to have a steering wheel included in the first place. I have also now understand that there is absolutely no recourse, as the SALES department refused to deal with the question about selling the product under false pretenses, and the TECHNICAL dept. continues to refer me to the $499 single support ticket - again only to ask a question about a product that only cost $150. MS online support is a COMPLETE JOKE. There are no experts, unless you are willing to shell out $499/question. I respectfully ask that this post be answered directly by a MS Sales or Technical representative, with answers on all fronts.

Microsoft unhelpful tech support chat

I contacted MS technical support chat on 10/11/2015 about importing address book files from my old Mac to a Windows 10 PC. I could not find the contacts application or similar function on my PC, or clear instructions on how to do this. The tech support chat ended as soon as it started. The rep ended the session, telling me MS doesn't support Apple products and I should contact Apple. (See snapshot of chat below). This was very discouraging and disappointing. First, the rep failed to recognize that my problem is not with an Apple product, but how to transfer data files to the PC. Second, this certainly is not the way to treat a new customer, especially over a minor matter. If the rep didn't want to talk, he could have directed me to online resources. I am still searching for clear instructions to import the data files. The MS support forums are not yielding clear answers. I hope they do better next time.

Microsoft windows 10

Windows 10 is a fraud. I updated for free and immediately it deleted my printer, office (Word/ Excel/ etc.), and many other capabilities I am suppose to have (and are paid for). Also, when I log on, it takes a long time for Windows 10 to bring up internet. Originally it took 15 minutes but tonight it was over an hour before Windows 10 would allow me to use internet. When I type in simple things like "Bing" or "Men's Denim Jackets", Windows 10 tells me that it does NOT know what those are. Also, when Windows 10 does work, most of the time I am still unable to do searches easily because Microsoft created Windows 10 to splatter the news all over the screen to where you are unable to find the search box and it is near impossible to remove the "garbage". If I want "garbage" (News) then I can search for it on my own. I do NOT appreciate Microsoft deciding for me when I should look at the garbage (news)! I complained to Microsoft about that and certain other problems, and well, I may as well complain to the doorknob! I recently was able to print something off after re-programming the printer back onto the computer. I am hoping this problem is permanently fixed and will NOT be deleted again, but, I have NO confidence in Microsoft! I am finally fed up with Microsoft' fraud. Microsoft cannot say that I am being unfair to them by warning others about Windows 10. I have been more than "patient" and "understanding" since Microsoft installed Windows 10! To all those being solicited by Microsoft to "update" to Windows 10: Why don't you consider getting an Apple Computer instead?!?! I have NEVER had an Apple Computer, but, I have heard that they don't have the problems, aggravation, and heartache like Windows does. I am seriously considering looking into Apple because Microsoft is a failure and disappointment. If Microsoft has any honor, they will repair my computer on their end and also add the time I have NOT had "Office". "Office" has to be renewed every year, and the time I have lost service, I want them to replace that time! It would also be nice if the head of Microsoft apologized and gave me an explanation why his company defrauded me and caused me all this unnecessary grief. I know! I know! The "repair", "replacement", "apology", and "explanation" are actions that will only take place in my dreams and NOT in reality. It is the sad "fact" of reality.

Microsoft they made my games unplayable

For several years I have had a subscription to MSN Games, $6.99/month, allowing me one "free" game per month. I had about 30 games, but recently received a message that there was a required upgrade, which I obediently installed. The result was that only about six games continued to work. I contacted them and after a significant wait received a message that included links to re-download some of the games, information that some were no longer available, and an offer to substitute other games. The list I was given consisted of kinds of games that I do not enjoy and would not pay for. Some of the new links worked and some didn't. I informed them of this and received another message with additional links, which did work, and instructions to pick whatever 16 games I wanted. I sent them a list of the 16 titles I chose. Now I have a new message. Guess what? Back to square one, with links, which don't work, for a few of the "new" games, and an excuse that "older" games (August of this year!) were no longer supported. I have asked them to either give me working links or my money back but I hold out little hope.

Microsoft windows 10

In the early part of Aug., 2015, I acquiesced to repeated advertisements for a free download of Windows 10. Just under 2 years ago, I had bought a Laptop Computer, that had Windows 7 preloaded on it, with the expectation of upgrading to Windows 8 which was due out in short order. The purpose was to replace a desktop computer with Windows XP which had been abandoned by MS.
Windows 7 was giving me such a headache to use, I figured that I might as well go onto Windows 10 as to waste time on Win 7, learn it, and then wait for MS to abandon it.
Not only did Windows 10 not download (or maybe it did), but it also took down my laptop entirely so that not only do I not have Windows 10, but I no longer have Windows 7. Likewise, I can no longer use an $800 (2 years ago) laptop and I have no access to files stored on the unit.
A local MS representative, unable to correct the problem has offered me the option to drive, at my time and expense, to an MS store to see if they can correct the problem, or to pay for a local technician to try to correct the problem. If I'd had any idea of the risk, I would have left well enough alone.
.

I'm now using windows 10. My printer is connected to another desktop running windows XP. Now, I have problem printing from my Excel or Word. Seems windows 10 can detect the particular printer but fail to communicate with it. Even more surprising, I can print a Publisher file without any problem. So, is it Excel fault or Word, or the server PC, the printer, my PC or windows 10..? None of this ever occur prior to having windows 10. Please send me solution

Microsoft poor licensing support

26 - 27/08/2015
Support ticket number
[protected]
The problem lies with updating hardware and the closing of windows licenses to the device involved in the hardware device.

First I would like to note that if you change a cpu, motherboard and ram card the license for your computer will become invalid.

Why is this a problem?
With the new release of windows 10 which is provided as a "free" upgrade the are higher resource and hardware demands yet if you upgrade the device to support the demands the license will become invalid.
Now this is a issue due to the fact that sales personnel will guarantee the windows license is a lifetime supported offer and you are not told that hardware upgrades will invalidate the license furthermore the MS website assures you that if you contact support the problem can be resolved.
After speaking to 7 support technicians and being constantly sent between one and the other the problem was not resolved and I was informed to buy a product I have already bought for a computer I have already licensed at full price including a price hike since the original purchase.

Desirable solution - allow users who have upgraded major hardware to obtain a new license for free via support after proof of purchase has been confirmed and deactivate the redundant license after finalisation of help procedure.

Current solution is black flag windows and never support micro[censored] ever again.

Microsoft credit card non-security

On 3/10/15 I ordered software from Microsoft Store, using my Amex card and my alternative E-mail address that had never been used before. That Evening, FIA Card Services called me to report suspicious activity on my AMEX card. Several very large charges had been made, including one at Nordstroms. Both Nordstroms and Microsoft are based in Seattle and I conclude Microsoft has a very serious problem with their "secure" ordering line, and/or, the integrity of their billing employees. Via U.S. Mail, I directed Microsoft to cancel my Outlook.com E-mail address that had never before been used, and also had FIA Card Services decline all the bogus charges.

I have a problem with Microsoft and their claim filing process. I recently filed a rebate and sent it through the mail. The claim process is not the same had I filed on line. When you submit a claim through the mail you are required to supply additional product information. When you file online all they want is the barcode and store info. The only reason that I purchased the microsoft product was because of the rebate. Had I known that they have such a double standard when it comes to product rebates I would have gone with someone else.

I received a charge on my credit card for a year's subscription to X-box Live. When I asked my gamer about it, he said he had canceled that. I called the service and found out that my son had indeed canceled the subscription, but had not canceled the automatic renewal. They refunded this year's payment, but I guess I paid last year for naught. HOW CAN THEY DO THAT?

I have purchased 2 X-BOX 360'S within the last 5 years. Both of them got the RED RING OF DEATH. The last one is 10 weeks outside of the warranty, and Microsoft will not do anything about it. It's evident that the X-Box has major flaws and Microsoft knows this. They will not stand behind the product they sell. I will not be buying another product from Microsoft!

Microsoft impossible to cancel the order

I placed order on the website www.microsoftstore.com. I bought computer and software from them. I was really shocked, ‘coz I wanted to cancel my order. I had some personal issues. I went to the website and tried to do it online, but it was impossible and I needed to contact the seller. I tried to reach online chat agents. They were online, but they didn’t communicate with me and no one replied to my emails. I wonder if there are people, who have the same problems and what have you done in such situation, please post comments.

Microsoft windows 10 operating system

In the very near future, Microsoft will be releasing the new Operating System for computers. It's Windows 10. And, Microsoft promotion on this is...that it can't be purchased in stores. Also, it will ONLY be available by means of a subscription. At the present time, Microsoft hasn't stated whether it will be a monthly fee or a yearly fee. And how much the subscription will cost. Bottom line ? Without an active subscription, you won't be able to use your computer (being...without an Operating System, your computer is nothing more than a paperweight).

be warned about Alibaba.com. They list you sellers who are no sellers but frauds.
Please don't lose the money.
I ordered a product and never got it.
Also be sure that LeadWay Courier is a fraud site. They ask you for customs clearence. Don't pay, it is cheating.

Microsoft would not cancel an order

Ordered something on sunday July 6, 2014 and cancelled it an hour later. They still processed the order. and shipped it out on Monday (7-7-14) and took $749 out of my bank account. The order should have arrived on Tuesday (7-8-14)but didn't arrive because of all the phones calls to stop the shipment. Then I find out they want me to send the order back before I will receive a refund. (didn't get the order). My bank told me to call again (was calling all week to recoup my money) I call today (7-11-14) and they say that they have to wait for order to reach warehouse and within 5 days after that I will be refunded. The way I see it is the order was canceled and therefore should not have been paid or shipped. I cannot get a refund until next week. I have already paid for my merchandise through Amazon, so I have $1, 400 out of my bank at once. And can't get my money back. I cannot complain to Microsoft, I am directing to customer service with no resolution. If amazon can cancel an order after placed immediately why can't Microsoft corporation do the same? Sunday UPS is closed.
