Review: MiniInTheBox - Great Website for Affordable Products with Free Shipping
MiniInTheBox is a great website to buy from. The best thing about them is that they offer free shipping to almost anywhere. The free expedited shipping is especially awesome, as I received my package in just four days. The prices are also great, and even though you may find a product for a dollar or two cheaper on other sites, the free shipping deal makes it worth it. Other sites may sell you a product for a lower price, but then charge you more for shipping.
I recently purchased a neat little quad from MiniInTheBox, and it was exactly as described. The only difference between the product I received and the one advertised is that mine had a plastic mesh over the top and the propellers, which is meant to protect it from crashes. I will upload pictures later. The box came neat and clean, with no bumps or damage.
Everything about the product was perfect. I was surprised to see that it came with a LiPo battery rated at 300mAH, but that also means that it may not be easy to change the battery to a higher rated mAH. The flight time is really short, only around 3 to 5 minutes max, depending on if you're a novice flyer or not. If you're constantly crashing it and changing the pitch, the battery time will be even shorter. The recharge time is around an hour, and I recharged it via my laptop's USB port.
The quad is crash resistant, as I crashed it into a wall and had some hard landings, but it survived. However, it's important to note that it's not indestructible, and it will break if you have one good bang at the right angle. The remote is made of clumsy plastic, but it works well as it should. It has a fake antenna on it, and personally, I think the remote should have been a little smaller, as it's not a B2 bomber, but a mini quad, and the remote is bigger than the quad itself. Also, the remote requires 6xAA batteries.
Overall, it's a good piece of toy, and you'll have fun with it. Of course, you'll have to master flying quads first, or you'll just be banging it into walls and ceilings and having hard landings. It has nice-looking LEDs under each propeller and on the fuselage, which I personally think takes a good amount of battery, shortening the fly time.
Mixed Experience with MiniInTheBox: Higher Prices, Hidden Fees, and Website Issues
I recently made a purchase on MiniInTheBox for a total of 76.20 pounds. I was excited to receive my order, which included a car charger adapter, plastic antenna, car seat cover, sticker, and wheel cover. However, my excitement quickly turned to frustration when I received a text from DHL stating that I needed to pay an additional 36 pounds for the parcel.
To make matters worse, I discovered that the prices of the items on MiniInTheBox were actually higher than on other websites like eBay and AliExpress. I felt like I had been tricked into thinking I was getting a great deal, only to end up paying 2-3 times more for each item. I wish that MiniInTheBox had put a lower value on the items to avoid the extra tax fees that I had to pay.
When I tried to change the delivery address, I found that the website option didn't work and there was no one to talk to. I was disappointed that there was no live chat or contact available to help me with my issue. In the end, I decided to buy from eBay or AliExpress instead, where I could contact customer service and get quick refunds and loyalty points.
However, I was surprised to receive a phone call from China on Monday, July 18th. They informed me that they had refunded me the 36 pounds that I had paid for the duty tax to DHL. I had never received a direct phone call like this before, and it was a pleasant surprise. They even asked me if I could remove my negative review or write something positive about the refund.
Despite this positive experience, I still had some issues with MiniInTheBox. They had sent me a car air refreshing separately from the parcel due to the liquid inside. Unfortunately, it was going to my old address and I had no idea when it would arrive or if it would even be received. I didn't want to waste my time and petrol going to check, so I assumed it was lost.
Overall, my experience with MiniInTheBox was mixed. While I appreciated the refund and phone call, I still had issues with the website and the prices of the items. I would recommend shopping around on other websites before making a purchase on MiniInTheBox.
Mixed Feelings About MiniInTheBox LED Light Bulbs: Poor Quality and Misleading Description
I recently made a purchase from MiniInTheBox and I have mixed feelings about my experience. Firstly, I must say that the salespeople were not very helpful. I had trouble understanding them due to their poor English and it seemed like they didn't know much about the products they were selling. I ordered two LED light bulbs that were advertised as 9W devices, but when I received them, they only consumed less than 4W when driven by 12VDC. Additionally, the full wave bridge rectifiers were only operating in one direction, indicating that they were defective. Both lamps had the same issue.
I contacted customer service and they were quick to ship me a new set of bulbs. However, they did not provide me with any tracking information. It took around 16 days for the bulbs to arrive, depending on when they were actually shipped. This time, the rectifiers worked, but the LEDs were still only 5W devices, despite being advertised as 9W bulbs. To make matters worse, one of the bulbs had fallen apart or was never fully assembled, and I could see that the LED substrate was labeled "5W".
In LED lamps, heat rejection is critical for long life, so a thermal path from the LED substrate to the heat sink is crucial. However, there was no thermal compound or adhesive between the LED and the case, so it was only held in place by tension on the electrical wires. The back of the lens kept it from getting too far from the heat sink, but this was not enough to keep it cool. While the design was interesting, it did not match the claim for how much power it consumed or how much light it put out. Customer service did not seem to know how to deal with this issue.
The appropriate solution would be for MiniInTheBox to change the product description on their website to accurately reflect that the bulbs are 5W LED bulbs, not 9W bulbs. They should also insist that the manufacturer provide test data to support the life projection. While I appreciate the customer-focused attitude, I am not entirely satisfied with their approach to quality. This was my first order, and it was only one item type among many that they carry, so it is possible that this was an anomaly. However, I will be more cautious and inquisitive before I order from them again.
In terms of pricing, the price per lumen for the bulbs I received was comparable to very high-quality Cree bulbs available off-the-shelf at Home Depot. These bulbs come with a three-year warranty and do not have a 16-day delivery delay. Therefore, there is not a significant price advantage for buying what I consider to be a lesser quality product from MiniInTheBox.
MiniInTheBox Review: A Big Scam - Avoid at All Costs
I recently made a purchase from MiniInTheBox, an online retailer that offers a wide range of products at affordable prices. I ordered a small USB cable, but unfortunately, it has yet to arrive. What's worse is that I have been bombarded with spam emails ever since I placed my order. Despite my attempts to unsubscribe from their mailing list, I have not been successful. This is a clear violation of international laws that require companies to provide a way to opt-out of receiving promotional emails.
To make matters worse, I have been unable to contact customer support to inquire about my order or to address the spam emails. The company claims to have a 24/7 live chat, but I have not been able to find it. When I tried to contact them through a buyer ticket, I received a generic response that was completely irrelevant to my inquiry. It was clear that the company did not care about my concerns and was only interested in making a sale.
What's even more concerning is that there are no company details anywhere on the site. This lack of transparency is a red flag and suggests that MiniInTheBox may be engaging in illegal activities. It's clear that this company is a big, illegal scam that should be avoided at all costs.
In conclusion, I would strongly advise against making any purchases from MiniInTheBox. Not only have I not received my order, but I have also been bombarded with spam emails and have been unable to contact customer support. This is a clear indication that this company is not trustworthy and is engaging in illegal activities. Save yourself the trouble and shop elsewhere.
MiniInTheBox Review: Frustrating Experience with Shipping and Customer Service
I recently had an experience with MiniInTheBox that left me feeling frustrated and disappointed. I placed an order on November 7th, 2015 and made sure to triple check my address before submitting my payment. The website stated that the estimated shipping time would be 10-20 business days, which seemed reasonable to me. However, after waiting for 20 business days, I decided to reach out to MiniInTheBox to inquire about my order.
To my dismay, I received a standard reply that stated they had contacted the Air Mail courier and asked them to prioritize the delivery of my order. This seemed like a canned response that they give to everyone who asks about their order. I decided to wait another 10 business days before contacting them again, but once again received the same standard reply. It was as if they didn't even read my message.
Christmas came and went, and I still had not received any of my packages. I decided to demand a refund, which took way too long to receive. I had to send multiple messages and insist on a refund before I finally received my money back. What was frustrating was that I received different replies from different people, which made the process even more confusing.
MiniInTheBox demanded that I refuse any incoming packages and have them resend to their warehouse. However, it is now January 10th and I still have not received anything. It seems unlikely that all three of my packages were lost in transit. I also noticed that they changed the order date on my orders page from November 7th to December 27th, which was strange.
Another issue I had with MiniInTheBox was that they charged extra for shipping insurance, but it seemed like they never intended to send the package in the first place. This felt like a money grab to me, and I can only imagine how much profit they make off of people who don't know how to stand up for themselves.
I have read other reviews from people who ordered around the same time as me and did not receive their orders either. I would advise others to stay away from MiniInTheBox and find other websites that are cheaper and more reliable. If you do decide to order from them, make sure to persist and insist on getting your money back if you don't receive your order.
Mini In The Box Review: Delayed Express Shipping with Insurance Order No. *******[protected]
- Problem with Order No. ***[protected] (Express shipping with insurance), goods are not shipped yet.
Hello, I recently had an issue with my order from Mini In The Box (www.miniinthebox.com). My family and I ordered goods for a total of ? 102.74 and prepaid via PayPal (PayPal IPN) on October 22, 2014. We chose the Express Shipping (3-5 days) with insurance in the same shipment.
The order was split into two separate shipments from China and one from Europe as one of the products was available from their warehouse in Europe. The first shipment (valued at about 3 Euros) made from the European deposit was shipped with PostNL Parcels always courier insurance with the same shipping and it arrived perfectly packaged and without any delay schedule (posted October 24, 2014, and arrived October 31, 2014).
However, the second shipment (valued at about ? 96) that was shipped from their warehouse in China had problems. On the Mini In The Box website, it was being shipped by UPS always express courier insurance on October 28, 2014, and for the same shipment comes the correct code for tracking the shipment 1Z31Y1Y***461 be used on the UPS website.
Unfortunately, the problems started when I went to the UPS website to track the shipment of goods. UPS communicated on October 28, 2014, that "Order processed: Ready for UPS." This means that the order is ready to be shipped but still has not been shipped after more than 6 working days (obviously already excluded from these Saturdays Sundays and holidays).
I was unable to contact the assistance of Mini In The Box for an explanation on this issue and to ensure that the goods are shipped and will arrive in the anneal schedule. It was frustrating that Mini In The Box (www.miniinthebox.com) did not provide any channel of assistance on its website with these problems with shipments. It was impossible to contact anyone on these issues as they do not provide an email address or contact form for help always about this type of problem, due to their one and only.
However, after some time, I was able to receive assistance and my problem was solved. I am happy that Mini In The Box was able to resolve my issue and I am willing to change my rating of their ecommerce store from one star to a higher rating.
In conclusion, Mini In The Box (www.miniinthebox.com) is a good ecommerce store, but they need to improve their customer service and provide more channels of assistance for their customers.
Misleading Advertising and Slow Shipping: My Experience with MiniInTheBox
I recently had an experience with MiniInTheBox that left me feeling frustrated and disappointed. I had ordered what was advertised as a waterproof cover for my Samsung Galaxy J1 phone, but when it arrived, I quickly realized that it was not waterproof at all. The front of my phone was completely exposed, and there was no covering over the camera lens, flash, rear speaker, or buttons.
I reached out to MiniInTheBox, assuming that they had sent me the wrong product, but they agreed to send me a second waterproof cover without requiring me to return the incorrect one. However, when the second cover arrived, it was exactly the same as the first one. It was then that I realized that MiniInTheBox did not actually have a waterproof cover available, and that their advertising was false.
I tried to point this out to them and asked them to remove or correct their advertising, but they have not done so. The cover is still advertised as waterproof on their website, which is misleading to potential customers. I also tried to leave a review on their website warning others that the cover was not waterproof, but they refused to publish it. It seems that they only publish positive reviews and do not count negative ones.
Another issue I had with MiniInTheBox was the shipping. I paid extra for the Postal Expedited shipping method, which was supposed to take 5-8 business days. However, both times I ordered from them, the delivery took over three weeks. This was frustrating for me as I was traveling around Australia and it was difficult to coordinate delivery with my location.
On the positive side, the non-waterproof covers that I received were well made and fitted my phone perfectly. However, they were of no use to me as I already had a simple back cover, so I ended up giving them away.
Despite the frustration and disappointment I experienced, I will say that MiniInTheBox's after-sales service was good. They responded to my customer service tickets quickly and were apologetic for the inconvenience. They even refunded my money promptly when I determined that they could not supply the product that they advertised.
Overall, I would caution potential customers to be wary of MiniInTheBox's advertising and shipping times. While their after-sales service is good, it does not make up for falsely advertising a product and misleading customers.
Disappointing Customer Service Experience with MiniInTheBox
I recently had an experience with MiniInTheBox that left me feeling frustrated and disappointed. I ordered an Apple watch band, but accidentally selected the wrong size. I quickly cancelled the order and placed a new one for the correct size, assuming that cancelling the original order would be a simple process.
However, I was shocked to see that the order status changed from "Pending" to "Shipped" just three hours later. I contacted customer service, but they told me that it was too late to cancel the order and refused to refund me. Despite having already purchased the correct item from them, I was effectively forced to pay double the price.
This experience left a bad taste in my mouth. MiniInTheBox's customer service, dispute resolution, and general ethics were some of the worst I've ever encountered. As someone who works in e-commerce myself, I was astounded that they would ship an item that a customer had raised a ticket on, without even attempting to resolve the issue.
After posting a review of my experience, I was contacted by a representative from MiniInTheBox who was much more helpful. While it's disappointing that it took a public shaming to get the level of service I deserved, I must say that Flora went above and beyond to resolve the situation. She allowed me to keep the wrong-sized item and organised a full refund for it, which I received promptly.
I'm also happy to report that the watch band itself is of good quality and looks great. If not for the issues I had with MiniInTheBox's customer service, I would have given them very high marks. However, given the poor experience I had, I can only give them a 4 out of 5.
Overall, I would caution other shoppers to be careful when dealing with MiniInTheBox. While they do offer a wide range of products at competitive prices, their customer service and dispute resolution processes leave a lot to be desired. As a consumer, you deserve a certain level of service, and if you don't receive it, you should always take action.
Poor Customer Service and Long Wait Time for Order from MiniInTheBox.com
I recently made a purchase on MiniInTheBox.com on July 8th, 2017 (order number ***) and I am still waiting for my item to be shipped. I opened a ticket to inquire about the status of my order, but the response I received was not helpful at all. The customer service representative simply stated that my order was in the processing phase and would be shipped out no later than July 18th, 2017 using Air Mail. They also mentioned that the package normally takes 10-20 business days to arrive, which is a long time to wait for an item.
I was confused as to why it would take a whole week after payment for the item to be sent. I asked if they hold orders and do not send them out promptly to save on delivery fees or if customers could wait a few days before paying for their order to shorten the time from payment to actual start of delivery date. I wanted a simple and clear response, but instead, I received a generic answer that did not address my concerns.
I then saw a button that said if I was not satisfied with the answer, I could contact their supervisor. I did so and asked the same question again. The response I received was the same as before, which was not helpful at all. I was frustrated and decided to cancel my order. I am glad that I paid through PayPal, so I know I will get my money back.
Overall, my experience with MiniInTheBox.com was the worst ever. Their customer service was non-existent, and I would not recommend this site to anyone, especially friends and family. It is a shame because I was excited about my purchase, but the long wait time and lack of helpful customer service ruined the experience for me.
Beware of MiniInTheBox: A Frustrating and Scammy Experience with Chinese Online Retailers
I recently had an experience with MiniInTheBox that left me feeling frustrated and scammed. I was searching for a specific charging/aux wire for my bluetooth speaker and found one on MiniInTheBox for a price that seemed too good to be true. I was excited to see that the estimated shipping time was over two weeks sooner than on other sites like Ebay and Amazon, which would have taken a month to arrive from China.
However, after doing some research on Site Jabber, I discovered that MiniInTheBox was also shipping from China, despite listing a physical address in California on their site. This made me skeptical of the legitimacy of the site, especially after reading numerous complaints from other customers who never received their orders or had trouble with customer service.
It's frustrating to see so many Chinese companies trying to sell low-quality products through American sites and not delivering on their promises. I've had similar experiences with other online retailers in the past, including one that listed a physical address that turned out to be an apartment complex. It's clear that these scammers are using addresses as a tool to appear as a legitimate online retail store and trick people into giving them money.
What's even more concerning is the sheer volume of orders these Chinese syndicates are dealing with on a daily basis, with thousands of return requests to add to the daily count. It's no wonder that customer service is often botched and unhelpful, with agents from China trying to talk to us "on our level" and disclosing "inside information" about "distribution chains."
As a consumer, it's important to be vigilant and do your research before making a purchase from an online retailer. Look for BBB complaints and pay attention to what elements on the page lead you to believe that it is a trustworthy site. Don't be fooled by dynamic frames, stock photography, or login credentials.
It's also worth noting that companies responding online to criticism or bad reviews is no longer a reliable indicator of trustworthiness. Scammers are creating their own fake negative reviews to respond to, in an effort to make it seem like they are taking care of their customers.
Overall, my experience with MiniInTheBox was disappointing and left me feeling scammed. It's important for consumers to be aware of these types of scams and do their research before making a purchase online.

Terrible Customer Service and Shipping Delays: My Experience with MiniInTheBox
This company, MiniInTheBox, is the worst I have ever had to deal with. I order stuff online all the time and this company is just worthless. First of all, it's a 10-20 day delivery, which is not a problem for me because I am a patient person. So, I ordered my item on Sept. 18 and waited. A month goes by and I got online to check the status of my order, but it still said "processing" and the estimated shipping date was Oct. 22. So, I waited again. Yesterday, on Oct. 27, I checked again and it still said "processing" and that the estimated shipping date was still Oct. 22.
I looked everywhere on the site for a customer service number, but I couldn't find anything except a form you can fill out and then they will email you back when it's "resolved". My email got a response saying that since the item I ordered was in an "unexpected high demand", the item will be delayed and now won't ship out until Nov. 11. If it ships out on the 11th, that will be almost 3 MONTHS before it's even shipped, and that doesn't include the 10-20 shipping days.
This is NOT okay, this is NOT how to run a business. I am a PAYING customer, and if I pay to have an item by a specific date, then the company I order from needs to make sure I get it on that date, or at the very least get in contact with me and tell me it's going to be delayed. This was supposed to be a gift for my sister's birthday, and now I am going to have to buy another gift so I am actually able to give my sister something on her birthday. Instead of telling her that this company doesn't know how to run a business and who knows whether my item will actually be shipped on Nov. 11 like they say or "delayed" another 2 freaking months!
I strongly advise you not to buy anything from these people. They are just $#*!ing worthless!
Warning: Disappointing Experience with miniinthebox.com - Be Careful When Ordering from Overseas Companies
I just wanted to share my experience with you all, especially those who are looking for good deals on products. I recently ordered two Galaxy Note 4 wallets from miniinthebox.com on September 17th. I paid for the "Express Expedition" shipping option, which promised a delivery time of 2-3 days. However, it has been a few weeks now and I still have not received my order.
The first notification I received was on September 18th, saying that my items had been shipped. The second notification came on September 19th, stating that my items were in a Hong Kong center. On September 22nd, I received another notification saying that my items were still in the same Hong Kong center, but were ready to be shipped to New York. The SF Express shipping company's last update was on September 22nd, stating that my items were still in Hong Kong and ready to be shipped to New York.
I contacted customer service to inquire about my order and was told that this type of shipping usually takes at least a week. I explained that I had paid for faster delivery and received a second response apologizing for the delay and offering me a 50% rebate to choose another item. However, if I wanted faster delivery, I would have to contact the carrier myself. I suggested using the rebate to speed up the delivery, but I have not received a response from a supervisor after three days.
I am very disappointed with the service I have received from miniinthebox.com. I am not even sure if I will ever receive my order. I want to warn others to be careful when ordering from overseas companies. The same products can often be found in the US and shipped without any hassle. These companies may offer lower prices, but they often come with a lot of problems and stress. Please be careful and do your research before placing an order.
Unreliable Shipping and Poor Customer Service: My Experience with MiniInTheBox
I recently had an experience with MiniInTheBox and I have to say, it was not a pleasant one. I placed an order in January and after two months of waiting, I still had not received my product. I opened two tickets with the business, but they automatically closed without any resolution. I was left with no product, no customer service, and my money was gone. It was a frustrating experience and I would not recommend doing business with them.
When I reached out to MiniInTheBox, they responded with an apology and an explanation that the package was shipped via postal mail and occasionally, packages might get lost during transit. They suggested that I choose standard or expedited shipping for faster and more reliable delivery. They also offered a full refund for my order, which was appreciated. However, their response was not without its flaws.
For one, they did not clearly state their location on the site, which could have helped me understand the shipping process better. Additionally, their customer service was not easily accessible and my tickets were automatically closed without any resolution. Finally, their request for me to "wait patiently" was not a satisfactory response to my frustration and it felt disrespectful.
Overall, my experience with MiniInTheBox was not a positive one. While their prices may be tempting, I would caution against doing business with them. It's important to have accessible customer service and clear communication about shipping processes to avoid frustrating experiences like mine.

Miniinthebox.com Review: Worst Online Retailer Experience Ever
I recently had an experience with miniinthebox.com and I have to say, it was not a good one. In fact, it was the worst experience I've ever had with an online retailer. I made the mistake of ordering from them on September 15th, 2017 and paid for Express Expedited shipping (2-3 days, and $12). However, processing took 5 days, so I should have received my order by September 22nd, 2017. Instead, it arrived on September 28th, 2017, the same day I received a message from miniinthebox.com telling me my order would arrive in 7-10 days due to a hold up in customs. Needless to say, I was not happy.
After receiving my order, I realized that it was not what I had expected and decided to return it. This is where things really went downhill. I contacted customer service and requested a refund, which they agreed to. However, it took several messages and a lot of back and forth before they finally agreed to refund the entire amount of my order, including shipping. This was on September 29th, 2017.
Fast forward to October 13th, 2017 and I still had not received my refund. I contacted miniinthebox.com again and was told that their attempt to refund the money to the credit card I used had failed. They instructed me to send them a request for funds via Paypal, which I did. Now, I am supposed to get my money in 3-4 days, but I am not holding my breath.
To make matters worse, miniinthebox.com has been less than helpful throughout this entire process. They have been slow to respond to my messages and have even tried to cast doubt on my assertions. For example, they recently sent me a message here (at Trustpolit and not miniinthebox.com) saying they paid my refund and that I didn't pay them via Paypal. While it is true that I did use Paypal to request my refund, I was instructed to do so by Carla in customer service because their attempt to credit the credit card I used had failed.
Overall, my experience with miniinthebox.com has been a complete disaster. I would not recommend doing business with them to anyone. They are completely incompetent and have caused me nothing but frustration and stress.
Disappointing Experience with MiniInTheBox: Delayed Shipping, Out of Stock Items, and No Communication
So, I had a bit of a rough time with MiniInTheBox. I ordered a part and a phone case on September 7th, and they said it would arrive in 5-8 business days. But guess what? It's now October 10th and I still haven't received it! I checked my order status and saw that they didn't even ship it until September 23rd. And to make matters worse, the other part I ordered is out of stock and won't be restocked. That's probably why it took so long to ship the first part. I didn't even get an email about any of this, even though they send me marketing messages all the time. I had to go to the website and check my order status to find out. And to top it all off, they haven't even refunded my card yet! I ordered both parts together to save on shipping, but now I'm paying more for the part I actually wanted because of the shipping costs. If they had told me the part was out of stock, I wouldn't have ordered the other part in the first place. It's just a big mess. I tried to post a review on their site, but apparently my email isn't confirmed even though I get all their marketing messages just fine. I requested a confirmation email, but I never got it. Ugh, it's so frustrating! I just want to know when my parts will arrive and when I'll get my refund. And why didn't they tell me any of this in the first place?
MiniInTheBox.com Failed to Deliver on Faster Shipping Promise
I placed an order on February 1st on MiniInTheBox.com and paid extra for 5-8 business days shipping plus insurance. I thought that by paying extra, my package would arrive on time. However, my order was received, processed, and shipped on the same day, but I noticed that there was no change in tracking information by the 10th. I decided to contact customer service to inquire about my order.
After submitting my ticket, I received a response from the customer service team. They apologized for the inconvenience and informed me that they had used Postal Service to ship my order incorrectly. They provided me with a tracking number and a link to track my package. They also mentioned that due to an extremely busy schedule of the customs, it's normal that I still haven't received the package because it's still in transit. However, if I do not receive my order by March 11th, I should contact them as soon as possible. As a token of their apology, they offered me rewards worth shipping fee 4.71 USD.
I was disappointed with their response. I paid for a certain service, and they forgot about it. Instead of offering me a refund, they offered me rewards on their site. I didn't need the money; I needed my package to arrive on time. I paid for faster shipping, and they failed to deliver. People have deadlines in their lives, and they need things done at certain times. If they know they are incapable of shipping quickly, they shouldn't advertise that. This kind of misrepresentation is inexcusable.
In conclusion, if you don't have a month and a half to wait for your order, forget the whole thing. MiniInTheBox.com failed to deliver on their promise of faster shipping, and their customer service response was unsatisfactory.
Mini In The Box: A Nightmare of Customer Service and Order Errors
This website is a total nightmare! If you have a problem, good luck trying to get in touch with anyone. I mean, seriously, you can't even send an email! I placed an order and it never arrived. I'm pretty sure it was shipped to the wrong address, but I had no way of letting them know. I couldn't even find my customer order number or any information about the order. You need that number to contact anyone in the company, but it was nowhere to be found. Months later, it magically appeared, but it was too late. There was nothing that could be done, and I STILL couldn't contact anyone. I don't know what you're supposed to do if you haven't placed an order and need information or have a question. You need that number for even the slightest chance of getting in touch with Mini In The Box.
To make matters worse, I noticed a charge on my bank account for an order I never placed. I had no idea what the item was, but it was apparently shipped to the same incorrect address as the first order. At least it was returned and I wasn't charged, but I still couldn't contact anyone at the company. It turns out that the website failed to update my current address, even though I had entered the correct information after I moved. I am beyond frustrated with this company. There is no way to make returns or correct order errors. I am extremely disturbed by this latest incident.
Update: I recently discovered that Mini In The Box is now selling products through Amazon. I've never ordered anything from them through Amazon, but I'm curious to see if they've improved their process. Amazon has a feedback system in place, so I hope they've taken that into consideration. Unfortunately, Amazon isn't the easiest platform to communicate directly with sellers, so we'll see how it goes.
MiniInTheBox Review: Overpriced Cheap Stuff, Unreliable Shipping, and Poor Customer Service
Always pay with PayPal! They provide buyer protection, which is essential when shopping online. In case you never receive your item, you can always dispute through PayPal!
MiniInTheBox has a huge selection of products, but most of them are cheap stuff manufactured and packaged in China. Some of the items can be easily bought at your local dollar store for 1$, but MiniInTheBox would charge it for 5$ with shipping, which is not worth it. However, most items do what they are supposed to do, and their descriptions are accurate.
Shipping is a big issue with MiniInTheBox. None of the shipment was on time, so if you want a quick fan for your summer event next week, go somewhere else. The tracking service is a lie. I bought about 7 items with tracking, and they separated my purchase into three separate shipments, but only one of them gets tracked. When I inquired about this with customer service, it took me a few attempts before they started giving me a real response. They did explain to me that their products come from different manufacturers, which is why they separate their shipment. There was no pre-warning about the shipment separation, there was no consent, and on top of that, the tracking website they provide never works. Guess what? The items without tracking are still missing after 1.5 months.
Customer service is not the best. They respond fast, but their responses are mostly irrelevant to your question. They will use stock responses most of the time. I hate to do it, but I had to bring up PayPal and threaten them that I will dispute the transaction on PayPal before they started giving me a real response. They will also close your ticket without your agreement.
Overall, MiniInTheBox has a huge selection, but they are all overpriced cheap stuff. Their stuff does work, but it's cheap. The arrival of your item is not guaranteed, and shipment is never on time. Customer service does exist, but they will provide stock responses until you bring PayPal and dispute on the table. I would not recommend MiniInTheBox.
MiniInTheBox Review: Broken Product, Broken Website, and No Support
So, my family friend recently made a purchase from MiniInTheBox, and let me tell you, it was not a great experience. They ordered a pressure washer thingy, which cost them over $100, and when it arrived, it was completely broken. Water was pouring out of the machine, and even the battery got wet, making it unusable.
They tried to contact the website by filling out a ticket, but nothing happened. The website seemed completely broken, and even the code was messed up. By default, the page's code was broken, so the browser wasn't even submitting a ticket at all. I had to enable CORS violations in the browser to get around this issue, but even then, nothing changed. There was no email or interface to show that anything had happened.
Overall, I would not recommend using MiniInTheBox. The website is just broken, and they are selling goods. It's mildly annoying, to say the least. I mean, blunders happen over other competitors too, but at least I can open a ticket there, show proof, and get my money back, no biggie. But here? It's just not worth it.
So, if you're thinking about making a purchase from MiniInTheBox, I would advise against it. The website and support need to be fixed before it can become a great website. Thanks for reading my review, and I hope I saved you a few dollars.
Unacceptable Bribery: My Terrible Experience with MiniInTheBox
Wow, I can't believe it! I had a terrible experience with MiniInTheBox. I ordered a product and expected it to arrive within the 10 days they stated, but after 30 days, I still hadn't received it. To make matters worse, I had moved to a new address and MiniInTheBox couldn't even try to change the delivery address. They forced me to cover the extra return cost and charges, which meant I was charged 50% for a product that was returned to them because of their late delivery. Their customer service was quick but rude, and it was the worst shopping experience I've ever had.
But then, something even more unbelievable happened. I received an email from someone claiming to be a supervisor at MiniInTheBox. Her name was Tammy, and she apologized for the inconvenience and offered to help. However, her email was full of spelling and grammar errors, which made me wonder if it was even legal.
Tammy explained that my order had arrived in Sweden on the 18th, but due to an address issue, it began to return to sender. She said they hadn't received it back yet and provided a tracking link for me to check. Tammy also mentioned that the shipping method I chose was the cheapest and took the longest time for delivery, which was 10-18 working days (14-26 calendar days). She said they couldn't change the shipping address due to transit.
Then came the shocking part. Tammy offered me a special solution. If I updated my review on sitejabber to show that the case had been taken care of by her or removed it altogether, she would help me apply for a direct full refund without waiting and without any fee deducted. I couldn't believe what I was reading. Was this even legal?
Overall, I would not recommend MiniInTheBox to anyone. Their customer service was terrible, and their offer to bribe me to change my review was completely unacceptable. I hope others can learn from my experience and avoid shopping with them.
