Vacation packages
Don't do it! You have to sit through a timeshare sales presentation for every vacation you go on, in order to get the discount that monster promises you. That is the only way monster gets paid for you going on these vacations. You get put in crappy rooms because they are their marketing rooms. We were lied to and told you don't have to go to a sales presentation but you do. We had to sit through almost a 3 hour presentation with our small children and got badgered for them to get us to sign up for their timeshare. It was awful. Do not sign up unless you are ok with this. The only way you don't have to sit through a presentation is to book one of their properties. Then you have to pay at least a $300-$500 cleaning fee along with taxes as well.
The sales agent who sold the package to us told my wife directly, after she specifically had asked, that you do not have to attend presentations. When calling guest services they told her that they are sorry the sales agent mislead us but we signed off and it was included in the paperwork. This paperwork that was given after you paid for the package. No refunds whatsoever. They do not give you all the details over the phone.
Desired outcome: Refund
holiday reservation
My experience with Monster Reservation Company was nothing short of a scam. The reservation process turned into a nightmare due to the deceptive practices of their agents. I had planned a family trip to Myrtle Beach for five people, but the agent misled me by stating that the reservation was only for four individuals. However, she claimed to have a solution: if I booked a reservation for another location like Orlando, I could later transfer the accommodation to Myrtle Beach and include all six people. Of course, this came at an additional cost of $99 on top of the $150 final price.
Skeptical but hopeful, I asked the agent if this transfer option was guaranteed. She confidently assured me that it was indeed possible. Relying on her word, I proceeded to make the payment of $260. However, when I called two days later to initiate the transfer to Myrtle Beach, I was shocked to hear that it couldn't be done. Not only would I lose the $99 insurance fee, but I would also need to pay another $99 if I wanted to change the time or location to avoid losing my initial $150.
To make matters worse, the agent had also deceived me regarding the location of the alternative destination. I was told there would be a nearby beach in Orlando, but in reality, the closest beach was a 25-minute drive away, and it was merely a lake infested with alligators. When I tried to address these issues with Monster Reservation Company, they showed no remorse and seemed content with their deceptive practices.
Upon speaking with a supervisor, I was informed that I couldn't prove the conversation had taken place or dispute the matter with my bank. Apparently, the company only records the agreement to pay and go to the chosen location, conveniently neglecting to document the preceding discussions.
In conclusion, my encounter with Monster Reservation Company was an utter disaster. Their agents deceived me at every turn, promising transfer options and misrepresenting the locations. The company's lack of accountability and refusal to address the issue left me feeling scammed and cheated. I strongly advise against using Monster Reservation Company, as they seem to have no qualms about deceiving unsuspecting customers for their own gain
Desired outcome: get a refund of my money 26 dollars . i donot want to travel with them as i am expecting more distrustful and cheating
Vacation Package
I purchased a vacation package from monster travel for a total of $800 plus dollars. I've tried making reservations and booking with them on several occasions. Each time I've tried to book with them the dates were not available. I asked to be refunded because they never had any availability for my travel dates. I was told I can not be refunded because I was passed the refund period. I am demanding a refund. I have purchased a vacation package and I am not able to use it when I need to. SCAMMERS.
Desired outcome: Be fully refunded for the vacation package I purchased. Which is a total of $871.
Booking of storm damaged properties and not disclosing that prior to taking non refundable booking fees.
I recently booked travel to Daytona Beach Florida to stay and use this vacation package while attending daughters college graduation. I booked this on March 28, 2023, and requested the Plaza resort and spa. I was told it was not a guarantee but would most likely be accommodated and would receive a call within a few days to confirm. A week later I called back to complain about not confirmation call and after, my daughter, who was attending Embry Riddle Aeronautical University, told me that the Plaza resort was closed for the entire year and would resume operations in 2024. That would explain why i could not get ahold of the Plaza resort and spa by phone. When I got through to Monster Reservations group they did tell me that the Plaza was not guaranteed as i was informed but there were several other locations that they were going to place me at such as the El Caribe resort and the Best Westen Anu Tiki inn. I informed them that I would like to stay closer to where the graduation was being held and would like a refund. I was told that i agreed to pay the 150 fee and would be refunded that money back to my card on my next stay and the 99 dollar fee for white glove service was nonrefundable. I then informed them that the reason i was cancelling more than 30 days prior to my travel was that the property that i was asking about and was initially told was available but not guaranteed, had major foundation damage and would not be open for the entire year that means it they are not keeping up with the conditions of the properties that they are selling and representing as quality locations to vacation at. The conversation ended with someone with customer service will get back with me. That has not happened yet. Furthermore all of the other locations in Daytona Beach have minor to major damage that makes them not the locations portrayed by monster reservations group, the other two locations i was going to be booked at the El Caribe and The Best Western Anu Tiki Inn had major damage to sea walls, recreation areas and other facilities at each property that monster reservations group did not convey to me. I am totally dissatisfied with them
Desired outcome: Refund of the vacation package price i have not used and paid for.
cruise certificate
I am retracting my previous 5 star review, which was based on the agent who tried to help me. Monster was supposed to provide me with a cruise certificate which was included in the package I purchased. They have failed to provide it or to make sure I received it. Just "thank you for your patience" for something that never arrived in the mail. SCAM SCAM SCAM BEWARE, TRAVELERS. The agents are apparently not well trained to really help customers. They try but all they can say is "thank you for your patience." Then I get an email saying "recap of your conversation" which is not a recap, but just says call us anytime. There is nothing the agents can really do to help. They are not well trained. Every agent I have talked with has had a different story. My cruise certificate was supposedly shipped but never arrived, and every agent has had a different version of how or when it would or might arrive, with no idea of what to do when it didn't. SCAM SCAM SCAM BEWARE!
Desired outcome: Get my 2 cruise certificates, both purchased, supposedly sent, neither has arrived. Totally unacceptable customer service - nice reps but differnt story from each one.
Pre paid vacation.
Paid for 4 vacation in adavanced with no expression on vacation they sent us to Orlando for a tour that was supposed to be Disney property and indoor heated pools ext . When we are the first thing they did was get our credit cards on file before we went to room. The room was dirty. There were roaches and we called the office they said it because it backs up against the woods. The tv where out most of time the restaurants where closed there where no indoor heat pools we went on tour they apologized for our room and misunderstood we told them we where leaving and not getting our grandkids this was not what we paid for. We have not been able to use the rest of our vacation they keep telling us they will call back or mail the cruise trips to us. Still nothing.
Desired outcome: Be able to use our vacation or full refund
Maybe you can help!
Monster error in booking
I booked a trip to Cancun Mexico for 2 adults. Was told to wait until I received my conformation before booking flight. I got the confirmation email so I booked 2 round trip tickets to Cancun. My trip is scheduled for Oct 17, 2022. Last week I received a call to confirm everything. The representative was going over details and verified our ages. They had our birthdates wrong. This resort has an age limit under 72 years of age. My husband is 82. Now i'm told we can't go this this resort. Also told no other resort in Cancun. You agreed to reimburse my resort fees. However I am out my airline tickets. I am told you will not cover that cost. It is not my fault your company made the mistake. I waited for conformation per our conversation it is not my mistake. I expect to be compensated for the ticket cost. They are none refundable. Your agent refused to let me speak to a manager to resolve this issue. I will cancel ll further dealing with Monster in the future but need resolution to this issue
Desired outcome: reimbursed airfare
Monster Reservations Group, Pigeon Forge, TN
I planned a trip to Pigeon Forge through "Monster Reservation" April 10-14. I made an initial deposit of $150.00 with my credit card which was to be refunded to me in cash after going to the presentation April 14th. April13th Jessica called to see if I was on my way to the meeting. I told her I was scheduled for the 14th. After the discussion with Jessica, I was shocked being told it was Wednesday and not Thursday. She asked if I could be there within the next 45 minutes. As we were getting ready, she texted my wife that the room keys had been deactivated. We very quickly threw our belongings in the car and left for the meeting place. We were not about to leave our things in the room after being told our keys were deactivated. We called Jessica as we arrived at the stoplight to confirm we were arriving. It had not been 45 minutes since our conversation. She informed me she sent everyone home. No one was there to give the presentation. She said it was people like me that came up there and just wanted a free vacation and it cost her $500.00. I noted my checking account had been hit for $300.00 without my authorization around April18th. Upon arrival I was asked to sign in by the desk clerk on call and I asked what I was signing. The desk clerk answered "Just for our records to show you were here so we can collect from Monster Reservations to avoid any ghost charges. Upon leaving so quick, I left my cellphone charger, my razor charger and toothbrush charger. This was a trip I should have never taken. I am asking for help. As for the room, it was not clean. My wife cleaned the bathroom sink and bathroom before we used it (we had Clorox wipes, etc.). I went to the front desk to ask them how to turn on lights over the bed and the desk clerk responded, "They are there just for looks". One more question. If this cost Jessica $500.00 out of her pocket, why did she send the ones who show the seminar home knowing we were on our way? Making the decision of sending everyone home, she was the one that made the choice she had to pay $500.00 out of her pocket. Not us. We made every effort to be there within the time told me and we were less than 45 minutes. I would never send everyone home knowing a potential customer would soon be arriving. That is not professional. You know how to get in touch with me. I look forward to hearing from a professional employee with Monster Reservations.
Thank you,
Doug Donley
Desired outcome: My desired outcome is that I am compensated for my unauthorized charges.
I also booked a vacation thru monster in Gatlinburg TN. I also paid for upgrades that were supposed to be resorts however after arriving the motel we were put in was far from the room we were sold on or "upgraded to". When I contacted "Global" for the info to go to the "the tour" Jessica said there had been a misunderstanding and apologized because the tour had just began and the next tour was on a tuesday which we were scheduled to check out that day, when explaining to her that wouldn't work for us she said I would have to pay the stay in full. So when we showed up Tuesday morning Jessica came out and said she sent the lady home whom was intended to do our tour. I told her we were on time why would she do that n she then said she was going to need me to leave that obviously I had a attitude problem and she wasn't gona put up with it, I refused to leave and talked to a rep with monster and after about 45 min of explaining the situation she was told to refund me partial of my deposit. The people don't have a clue what they are doing or what you were even sold! They truly hope to get your money for the trips and never schedule your trips! Easy money I guess, poor service unacceptable rooms but their slogan is they guarantee your best vacation ever! Well believe nothing they say it's all bs and their reps tell you whatever sounds good to sell you on this vacation I promise you will regret buying!
Did you contact your credit card company?
Service
The sales person contacted me and told me I could upgrade to their lifetime trip service and that they would send me out a book listing all the trips. That was in May and the book was due to arrive in June if is coming to the end of July and still No Book. I have contacted them several times to see if they could provide me a tracking number or delivery date. They just tell me it was sent out and they will send out another which still hasn't arrived. SMH! If they can not get that correct how can I be sure they will book my travel correctly?
Desired outcome: They desired outcome is to send me the BOOK so that I can plan my trips.
Monster Reservation Group
I was lied too they from the sales department i was told i would have to pay taxes on my stay. i was not told it cost me another non refundable 150.00 to book a vacation an was also told if i have a letter for my pet it would be ok only to find out i have to also have a lisence for my pet to prove its a service animal.
they never asked my income now thats another issue. Im refusing payment on my credit card. thank you for getting my hopes up for nothing.

Desired outcome: my pets be with me with a letter from my doctor know booking fee.
Out $1k for protecting my family
Summary: I'm out nearly $1K USD after being a "Customer" of this company since 2017 and have only stayed on 1 property less than 24 hours and left due to terrible conditions for my family.
I was sold a travel package in 2017 with the ability to reschedule. I believe I paid around $300-$350 all said and done in 2017. Over the years they would call and I never did get one scheduled.
I finally decided to take a trip to SilverLake Resort Orlando with my wife and 3 kids March 2022. I booked and then had to call back and change the dates. Susan Cardana was very helpful with that and nice.
Fast forward to my trip and we arrive 3/17 at 5pm. Got placed in Building 19 at SilverLake Resort when we arrived.
Upon entering the building 19 it reeked of Marijuana (he building, the elevator, etc). Not an ideal welcome family. We get to the unit on the top floor and the unit looks clean but just has this dirty feeling. We attempted for 3 hours to draw a hot bath for my wife and infant and no hot water. Beds were awful and uncomfortable. Come 10pm this evening my wife and I decided to pay the money and go stay elsewhere at a better property for our family.
Friday, when I left at 9am I went to SilverLake Desk and no manager was around to help me when I needed help leaving. I provided the ladies my phone number and name and asked the manager to call as I have complains and I will not be attending the Saturday Session that I am obligated to attend as this resort is not acceptable. No call no return.
Once we return home and I call Monster. I get Stella Helton who I give all my complaints to and she was very understanding and nice and recorded it I believe. Over the coming day she would request documentation and receipts to the other property I had to go stay at. It's been 19 days and no return email or call now.
At this point Monster has charged me $500 for no show and SilverLake Resort charged me for 4 days of resort fees and taxes totaling $155.08.
I do not recommend
Desired outcome: Refund $500 fee and SilverLake 3 days of resort fees and taxes not used.

phone call they refunded my money
I'm sorry you had a miserable time at Silver Lake Resort. My family has stayed there before and everything was fine. Granted, it is not a prime resort like the Westin/Marriott, Wyndham, Holiday Inn, or others that we belong to. But we didn't have an experience like you. Heck, one time at Vistana, which is an excellent Sheraton resort, we had a toilet that overflowed the first time we used it. It became a family joke. We cleaned it up and had a spectacular week's vacation. We've never had a bad experience with a timeshare resort (other than the sales presentations...ugh!). Sure a mishap every so often, but that happens sometimes. Better luck with your next vacation. I have a vacation package with this group so I was Googling and found a few complaints. Good luck to me!
Reservation
We want to book a vacation with Monster group which we bought 2 years ago but due to Covid lockdowns, we have not been able to use the package. Now we are ready to go but have not been able to talk to anyone from Monster. I put 2 requests on phone, and one online but have not received any responses from them for the past week.
Desired outcome: Either get someone to help us book a vacation, or refund our money.
Booking
I have only used this 1 time and was in a cheap motel but dealt with it I have tried to use this again and of course always booked no matter when and where I want to go always I tried to book in april for june still all booked no place open to stay stated it was peak season well when I paid for this no blackout dates and was to get a place as long as I booked 60 days in advance but that wasnt the case I am very disappointed with this company promise to put you in a nice place btu never can book always full
travel arrangements
Monster failed to follow thru with a confirmed reservation I sat with them after paying my fee. The hotel did not recognize my reservation and was fully booked upon my arrival.
Monster did not have any availabilities to the locations and dates I attempted based on their list of resort/hotel affiliates posted.
Andrew Fenderbosch does have some pleasant employees during phone conversations, but Monster clearly does not have the resort connections for availabilities that they advertise as I submmited my money up front.
Monster Vacation Group SCAM
They will tell you for signing up you will receive additional free stays, tickets to shows and events, and that you will stay in the best resort. What they don't tell you is that it all goes downhill before you is the the places you will stay will be overrun and dated. Places you can literally book online for less through other companies. Once you attend the 90 minute sales pitch and decline their offer from the person that went from wanting to build rapport to know ignores you like a scorned lover because you said, "NO" you are then put on a list that once you call to schedule your promised free stays, they NEVER have anything available. They ONLY want to schedule you in what they call "Promotion Destinations" meaning places where you have to attend another 90 minute show, although you were told in their phone sales pitch that after the FIRST show you would NEVER have to attend another sales pitch, which was yet another lie.
I have made repeated calls going on a full year and each time I hear something completely different from what I was told by the previous rep in regards to their policies and procedures.
Desired outcome: Refund my money
Hi I paid for a vacation last year and I was told that their was no time limit on when we take it. So in January they gave me a call wanting me to choose a date I explained to them that my wife had broke her hip and back and would not be up to going any time soon but we would shoot for Feb at time it was Jan. 10 days before the trip in which I had to deposit $150.00 for the room another $100.00 for just in case we skipped out and that’s not counting the $ 648.00 I originally paid. I explain we are an elderly couple and it just doesn’t look like we will be traveling anytime soon so I would like my $150.00 deposit back I was turned down but later they had a change of heart and said they would give me back my deposit. By this time I am so mad that I told them just cancel and give me a refund she refused so as of now I am out $748.00 and plus I haven’t seen that $150.00 back in my account So very displeased with this company How they can just treat people this way is beyond me I even said look mam I’m not trying to get it all back I understand that you worked up a package trip and sent us an brosure but I would of exspected most of it. I will not give up Sincerly Douglas Rogers
Stay Away -- It is a Scam!!
In late May 2021 I was called by their people, and lead to believe they were working with Hilton Vacation Club (which I am a member) and RCI. They sold me on three cheap getaway vacations in what seemed like nice resorts. In September 2021 I called to schedule my first trip. The questions they demanded I answer were very personal in nature, and since I am a retired person, it's no one business what my income level is.
I low-balled my income, and was offered motel options in shady parts of town in various cities in Florida. ALL BECAUSE THEY THOUGHT I WAS LOW INCOME!
I made four different phone calls, asked for the supervisor on each, which they refused. I asked for my money back, and was told no. Currently, I am working with America Express to help me with this horrible organization.
IF SOMETHING SEEMS TOO GOOD -- IT IS! Stay Away from Monster Reservations Group!
Desired outcome: Return of my money

Vacation Package and Free Vacation
This isn't a total scam but it's about as close to one as you can get before labeling it as such. DO NOT SIGN UP OR BUY ANYTHING and demand to be removed from their list or they will call you 5 times a day. The trip I booked came with and "additional free trip" which I negotiated to two free trips (that's when you have to know it's like the wild west there. I picked Myrtle Beach because how could they screw that up right? Well it may as well have been a retirement home in comparison to what was presented to me multiple times on multiple calls. I'm not going to get too far into this other than say I spent the money to file a civil suit -- that's how much this experience has and continues to bother me. I tried to use the other two trips and the scheduling has been off twice (I even called to confirm the week before and they had me scheduled a month later twice, costing me over $800 in flight/travel expenses I could not be refunded). My lawyer believes I have a strong case but you never know when you're dealing with slime like this. That is why I am briefly voicing my experience, because people have a right to know the truth if they do their due-diligence.
Desired outcome: A satisfactory or better experience, I'm not unrealistic
I am sorry for your experience. I knew when I paid for this it was too good to be true. It sounds like I’ve thrown good money after bad 😟
The $698 was for all these free trips. Looks there is a fee wherever a person wants to visit. Have I got that correct?

I signed up to receive six vacations and a bonus vacations for $600. I was told that I would only have to attend one meeting/presentation on my first vacation and would not have to attend any other meetings/presentations on any of the additional vacations. When I just attempted to book my first vacation I was told by a supervisor that I would have to pay a deposit for an additional $150. I want my money refunded to me because I was lied to when signing up for these vacations. I am extremely frustrated with the response that I received and the lies that I was told by the sales agent who sold me the package.
I own many (too many) timeshare units with multiple companies. ANY time I go to a resort I ALWAYS have a minimum $150 deposit put on my credit card. It is for future room service charges and the possibility of damage my family may cause. I have ALWAYS received my full deposit back, less any valid room service charges. I sometimes have to pay a "resort fee" of about $10/day when resorts have special amenities, whether I use them or not. It is just the policies that are popular in the industry. Go and have fun like I do!
So called resort they recommeNded and sold stay at
Stay away from this company. The resort they told us was so nice was a disgusting joke. I'd compare to a stinky retirement center. They refused to give me my money back even though we didn't and couldn't stay with them due to the smells and filth. Please do not buy from this group. They are scammers preying on excited vacationers. Stay away! Sometimes the saying is true. " if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is. Pay extra or find another company to book through.
Desired outcome: Refund
Service
I have been dealing with them for almost 10 years. I have yet to experience any trips. I go to make a reservation and there is always an additional charge. They will call me About once a year and offer to fix everything always for a fee. I have paid $8000 over time. Each time I go to the web site all the trips cost additional money. Each time they call I am assured they want to save my trips for more money each time. I received a call in October and was assured by this man that I would receive an email and when all my trips were consolidated they would send me a letter. I did get a letter to verify that I had paid another $500. I was told they would wave all fees except tax. When I go to the website again all trips have a fee. Again today I received a call wanting to save my trips for a fee. I want to know what I get for my money with no charge except tax. No one will help me resolve this.
Desired outcome: A list of the trips I have paid for or my money back
I am confused!?!? Below is your comments
“ I have yet to experience any trips. I go to make a reservation and there is always an additional charge. They will call me About once a year and offer to fix everything always for a fee. I have paid $8000 over time. “
You later state that you received a phone call from someone @ Monster and that they are going to consolidate your trips ? Then out of no where they just charged your account for a additional $500.
Who charged your credit card $500? I don’t believe it’s Monster Reservations Group. I believe it’s RCI.
Reading that letter I am under the impression Monster is just the company that books your reservations not the company that you bought the vacations from. Do you follow me?
