I went to my local store today as I do appox 4 times a week. Appox 2.30 I was checking out on a self checkout my total was 31.11p so I put 2 £20 notes in which came straight bk out so I put them straight back in and it took them, only to see the screen saying please put more money in? I called a member of staff and he was trying to sort it which seemed to take forever, to then be told that the security man had said to him she only put 20 pounds in, which then I panicked and went to my purse to make sure as I had just drawn out 100 pounds, I still had 60 left so tried to explain again that I wasnt going mad and it hadnt fallen anywere that I put in £40, I was then told by the same man on security that I had indeed only put 20 pounds in, I was then embarased as everyone was looking at me, so I just said to him can I look plz and he shouted that I wasnt allowed and then said loudly again you only put 20 pounds in, so I said are you saying I am lying as I was seaching my bag and everything again, he just looked at me stupid, and alot of people were staring at me, I suffer from bad nerve problems after just getting over breast cance and losing my best friend to her killing herself, I than waited for a manager which took over half a hr and I was having a panic attack these are not nice, to be told I could take my shopping home as he was going to trust me to be honest? Till they checked the till at the end of the day, and I said the same to him I put 40 pounds in and he said well the till isnt showing that, I then left red faced and shaking drove home rung my friend and she came straight away, I have never know this before in my life and I am waiting for the manager to ring me which I know the till will be up by just over 8 pounds, I dont know if I can go back down at the moment as I have a migrane now so going to bed instead of going out for my t with a few friends, I hope you are going to do something about this I felt like a thief, thankyou paula townson, my email is [protected]@rocketmail.com
Desired outcome: compensation for me missing a evening with my friend and haveing to go to bed early with a migrane
Multiple issues. Morrisons dunoon.
I have previously been a supporter of Morrisons Dunoon and have put that in writing.
Sadly no more!
On Monday evening 8pm My wife and I did a largish shop there.
The first thing that was obvious is how very cold it was, Siberian. My wife and I had thick jumpers on, winter coats, hats and in my wife's case gloves. It was bitterly cold and this was in the whole store not just the refrigerated areas. It was so sad to see the store staff wearing gloves and were undoubtedly miserable. Where is the care and concern for those employees? Also it makes the shopping experience extremely uncomfortable and unpleasant for shoppers.
Secondly, As mentioned we had a fairly big amount of groceries, there were no tills open and manned. Only self service which don't always work effectively and certainly not great for large amounts of shopping. Eventually, what appeared to be a manager instructed a member of staff to open up a till for us. Unfortunately an old person albeit with less shopping was directed unceremoniously to the self service, she appeared upset and struggled along with her basket. It would have been so easy in terms of practicality, care and concern to fastrack her through the same now manned till!
Thirdly, having endured the above, we were truly shocked by the prices of goods on offer. Yes, we know about inflation, but to me there is certainly excess profit making by Morrisons.
We have calculated it is cheaper to use fuel, take the ferry across to Greenock return and do major shops at Aldi which we will do now.
This is a truly shocking state of affairs and Morrisons have a long way to go to restore our faith and trust!
Desired outcome: Ensure there are enough staff to keep some manned tills open.Turn the heating on.Be much more competitive on food prices, price match Aldi.
Morrisons cafe blackburn
My wife and I went into the cafe this lunchtime around 12.10. We had never been in before and are unfamiliar with your procedures. When she approached the two women behind the counter to ask what to do they were reluctant to leave off nattering to each other and when they did they didn’t seem to understand the question and just stood there with their mouths literally hanging open. Fortunately, a young man in the queue came forward to help her and we got our tea. One of our cups was mucky, with a large lipstick stain on the inside of the rim, there were no teaspoons and the larger spoons were quite disgustingly dirty. We are surprised that a leading company like Morrisons should employ ignorant, and entirely unhelpful people in public-facing roles and we’ll certainly never go near this cafe again.
Yours,
T. Boden
Desired outcome: Although we won’t be benefiting personally from an improvement in service you really ought to work on making one. An apology too would be appreciated.
Delivery driver
Good evening,
I am writing to you as I would like to make an official complaint, today Monday 30/01/2023 me and my husband were driving through a main road in Cardiff (Wales) - (City Road) at 14:36pm when we were backing off in queues of traffic from Albany road, there was oncoming traffic from other roads also, cars beeping all because traffic was congested as we got onto city road and could see the road clearer, one of your delivery drivers had double parked his van for well over 30-40 minutes restricting oncoming traffic/trucks/buses causing a backlog of traffic and also causing an obstruction which could have resulted in a fatality as there was blind spots from both directions as this road is already very narrow and cars parked either sides of pavements it made it impossible for us to even pass, as you can see in the picture attached we kindly stopped to allow many vehicles through as it simply wasn’t fair for the backed up traffic on other roads, in all this time one of your delivery drivers driving that Morrisons truck was no where to be seen was not unloading any deliveries whatsoever there was space for the truck to park on the opposite side of the road.
Desired outcome: I would like a thorough investigation done and for you to train your delivery drivers to be more courteous and sensible when potentially delivering goods as next time this could have resulted in something far worse.
I also would like to complain about a Morrisons delivery driver. This morning 25/02/2023, my son left the house just before 8.30am to drive to work, we live on a private road which is quite narrow but if people park correctly then it’s possible to get past. This morning a delivery driver was parked so that no vehicles could get past. My son waited for 20 minutes and was late for work at a new job. If this was an isolated incident I probably wouldn’t have complained but the same truck stopped me from getting to my house about 3 weeks ago. On that occasion the driver was in the back of the van sorting out his next delivery. It’s just totally unacceptable.
Salad bar
I asked once what time the salad bar closed and I was informed 7pm. I have now been on six occasions today being just now at five to six and the salad bar has berm closed down every time even at half past five. The fish counter as nd hot food counter as lol closed down. If the store I supposed to bd open until 8pm then dug are these facilities closed. I think it’s disgusting that whff Ed n somebody finishes work and wants something from I store that is supposed to supply these products that it I’d never open when it dhoikc be. I am a chef and we are open until 10pm and we serve until 20pm if we like it if not. I am sure I as m not your only customer is unhappy with this service. Please could you get back to me as I xm very unhappy with this situation.
Desired outcome: Return of information regarding the correct opening snd closing time my email address is [protected]@hotmail.com
Home delivery
Hi
I placed an order for my elderly parents who are unable to get out of the house at the moment it was delivered on Sunday 22nd January 2023 however the delivery driver was very unhelpful and quite rude to my parents and stated that “this job will kill me” and also complained about the parking which is not my parents issue and also did not use his trolley and carried the crates which was also odd …. there was also some cappuccinos opened with two sachets out which was odd the order number is [protected] my parents were left quite upset by this delivery we have never had any issues before with your company
Kind Regards

Car parking at Wetherby Store
I am a disabled customer, blue card holder. I attended your Wetherby store on 12 January 2023 parking up at 13:56 in the disabled parking area, whereupon I had my lunch in the cafeteria paying £9.38 with my debit card. I then did my shop, paying £115.77 on my debit card. Bank receipts available.
I then left the store at 17:18.
I have now got a parking notice [protected] requesting £100.
I do not see why I should be paying for such a charge as a disabled person shopping at your store. Please will you reverse this charge immediately.
Thank you.
Regards.
Sue
Desired outcome: I wish the parking charge removed and an apology
Pizza making staff
I went to Shrewsbury Morrisons this even as I do every Friday. Upon approaching the pizza deli I was greeted with “I’m not making any pizza I’m making them for my shelf! I politely asked if there was any chance I could have 2 large pizza’s? To which I was sternly told no! I was even told I couldn’t have one of the ones that were made as she wouldn’t be rapping them for another 40 mins. How can I possibly be declined to be served a pizza at a pizza making station. My children were very upset they weren’t allowed pizza. This member of staff was more interested in trying to tell me how lucky the shop was that she was in work as she’s really poorly and should be at home. All I wanted after a hard week at work was to do my shopping without being made to feel uncomfortable for asking for a service that your store offers.
Maybe some customer service training is needed for this member of staff?
I don’t appreciate how I was spoken to, as a result I’m considering shopping elsewhere in the future.
Customer service
I went to Morrisons St. Helen's on Friday 27th January at 6.50pm. On entering the store I went to where the pizzas are made and there was a big queue and only one staff member serving. I carried on with my shopping and went back at 7.15 pm and asked the girl behind the counter for a meat feast pizza, she said the counter was closed. All the ingredients for the pizzas were still out. I then asked could she make a pepperoni pizza that was on the shelf into a pizza, she said the machine was switched off. I said this is terrible customer service esp as when I first went there was a big queue.
I then spoke to a manager and made a complaint but he didn't seem to care just said would speak to her and that she should have really made me a pizza although they close at 7pm. No signs anywhere to state this. I then had to buy extra ingredients for the pizza
I then went to the tills and it was all self serve and no staffed tills open, it was chaos. It took me 20 minutes to scan and pack my shopping
Thanks, Michelle

How cold the aldershot store was
On Wednesday the 25th jan 10.30 am, myself, my elderly mother and my friend thought we would treat our self’s to breakfast before grabbing a few bits of shopping. It was so cold that none of us could take our coats off and had to used our coffee cups to warm our hands up. It was so uncomfortable as I have a pain condition that is effected by cold and is very painful and my pore elderly mother was shaking. It completely spoilt our food and will certainly not be retuning to the cafe which is a shame as the food was very nice.

Desired outcome: Better Service making sure the customer is not conned by over charging
Instore heating
I did my weekly shop at your store in Swinnow Road Leeds 13 earlier today, and found the store to be freezing cold inside.
I understand that fresh produce needs to be stored at a low temperature, as does dairy and frozen products, but the whole store was absolutely freezing, and the staff were having to wear outdoor clothing and gloves to keep warm.
The young girl who served me on the till was so cold she was actually shaking she was so cold.
My understanding is that, in general, a workplace should maintain a temperature of "at lease" 16 degrees C.
I am amazed that your staff have continued to work there today, and I would seriously reconsider shopping at your store if this becomes a persistent issue.
I also shop in Tesco's and Asda, and have never had this problem in any of their stores.
Desired outcome: Some improvementt to heating conditions for your staff and customers.
Online delivery

Meat feast pasta
I finished eating the pasta and noticed something black, I thought it was a black bean so I tried to pick it up with the fork.
I then heard a crunch and realised it definitely wasn’t what I thought it was.
After further inspection, I saw it was in fact a black beetle. You can see the wings, outer protecting shell and the legs in the videos I have.
I had to run to the toilet and ended up throwing all the pasta back up in disgust. This kind of contamination in food shouldn’t be happening. It’s outrageous.
Desired outcome: Whatever can be done possible. I’m absolutely sickened
Topside beef
We purchase almost all our meat from Morrisons and have rarely found it anything but good quality. The joint we cooked on Sunday was frankly, awful. We lost over a third of it to fat and gristle which meant that a £10 joint barely fed 4 of us. I cannot remember ever getting a joint so bad. We have a picture to back this up.
We purchase it from Harwood Morrisons on Monday 9th January 2023.
Cafe, chef and manager
Weybridge. 9th Jan. First visit since pre covid. Cafe is a shables no cutlery, serviettes or candements. OR customers. What was once a thriving communit cafe with excellent breakfast menu is now like ghost of itself. Ordered vegisatian break fast recieved a mould brown avocado, uncooked cold vegetarian sausage, uncooked cold Portobello mushroom over cooked poached egg. Told the chef he should be ashamed of himself serving such food. Lovely girl on till refunded me and issued to see the manager. After waiting 10 mins I went in search, spoke to a staff member who after informing me the manager was 5yds away, stated non of the staff use the cafe now as food so bad. The young manager was giggling with other staff.. so kept me waiting. Informed of the problem he was unprofessional asked him was he an experienced manager as the store is no longer the vibrant friendly store it was. He informed he did not like my attitude and walked off. 😒 The lifts were not working nor was the decending escalators. Yes I was angry but he could have dealt with the situation better had he been more experienced with his eye on the ball.
Desired outcome: Install managers who are experienced and able to return the vibrancy to the cafe and store.
Apologies for typos am dyslexic
Service from staff
I was in the Morrisons plymstock branch Plymouth yesterday 7.01.23 at around 15:45 purchasing some flowers and two balloons to let of for my late mothers anniversary, I was directed to 3 different areas then advised to go to the Tabacco kiosk. The man that served me (I think his name was Dan) firstly refused to serve me and told me that unless I’m buying tabacco or lottery, so I informed him I was told to come to him to get the balloons inflated. He said no again so I told him I would purchase a scratchcard. He seemed annoyed at this but proceeded to serve me - he then placed the un inflated balloons back to me. I reminded him again that I needed them blowing up to which his reply was “ yeah I’m going to get someone to do it” his attitude and mannerisms were awful and I nearly cried there and then. A lady (called jo) was working on the other side in the cafe and shouted over she would help and then took myself and my 9 year old son to get it done. I was trying not to cry because of how rude the man that served me was but jo really helped and her customer service was impeccable. This man was rude from the start of my transaction to the end and had no person skills. This gentleman had none of those qualities and made me feel like my custom was not wanted or needed. I understand that he was not to know I was going through something but basic customer service skills should be a necessity. Morrisons is our local supermarket and we spend over £100 there each week but his attitude has made me question where I shop. And I’d assume something Morrisons prides themselves in.
Desired outcome: I would like for him to be made aware of his actions and aware of the impact his Attitude had on me that day. A day that was already tough
Cafe area
Dear sir or Madam
I use the cafe in Morrisons Bredbury most days of the week and have always thought the terrible noise made when chiars are moved at the tables by people moving the chairs about is so annoying !
I have seen several adds for rubber covers you can fit atthe foot of the legs of each chair would resolve this problem ?
And with this comment in mind if and when you buy future chairs for any of your super cafes it may be a good ides to order chairs with some kind of rubber on the foot of each chair thus eliminating the noise ?
Regards John
Desired outcome: Hoping you do something about my suggestion ?
Customer service
I ordered a food waste bag on Too Good To Go at the Edgbaston store at around 4pm today for collection by 5.45. I walked across 45mins to collect only to be told there weren’t any and that there shouldn’t be any on the app - however there were still some showing as available. So it will be an hour and a half of my time wasted.
On speaking to the customer service manager she was understanding but another staff member, James, joined in the conversation towards the end. Along with explaining my frustration at the complete waste of my time, I also asked what was done with food waste, as I am also a food waste hero with Olio. Whilst the customer service lady listened to suggestions he was incredibly dismissive and was talking over me and clearly not listening - which is strange as he chose to join the conversation. He really didn’t give a favourable impression for your store - especially with regards customer service.
Desired outcome: Listening costs nothing
