marijuana all over... motel 6 virginia beach motel 6 virginia beach 4760 euclid rd virginia beach 23462 va us +[protected]
Good morning, my name is Anthony Fadelle and myself and 2 other coaches along with 6 high school athletes stayed at the above mentioned Motel 6 in Virginia Beach. This was all of our first times to Virginia Beach and the first time we were competing in a National tournament. The experience all around was very unprofessional and uncomfortable at the Motel 6. When we first arrived I had asked about the use of our tax exempt form for our team, no one ever followed up on that during our 3 night stay. We arrived on Thursday the 22nd of March. We got our 3 non smoking rooms on the 3rd floor. We settled in and then we headed out to the convention center about 4:30pm. As we walked out into the non smoking hallway it REEKED of marijuana, the entire hall. The front desk said they would look into it. When we arrived back to the hotel about 10pm, the entire hallway smelled of marijuana smoke again. We were in a dilemma, we have never been to Virginia, most of the hotels were full because of the National tournament and the ones available were extremely expensive. The actual rooms had a stench of marijuana smell as well. The staff also did not turn the beds or empty the trash and as a matter of fact did not replace all of the towels the first day. The second day we headed out at 6:15am on March 23rd and again the hallway reeked of marijuana for us only to return that night around 815pm to the same smell, but almost like they just finished smoking. Even our pillows if you put your face into it smelled of marijuana. They also did not turn over our beds again nor empty the trash. This happened obviously again on Saturday the 24th. We left around 645am to the left over odor of marijuana, I mean the entire 3rd floor hallway REEKED of it. As I said, Saturday was more of the same, except someone came in and put new towels but left the beds as is, covers on the ground and pillows just placed on the bed, again the trash was not emptied. We felt pretty helpless, here we are 16 hours away from home, we drove from Miami to Virginia Beach for our first National Tournament, the last thing I had time to do was complain to management, but the last thing they wanted to do was deal with was anyone. I will explain... The morning of Sunday the 26th we headed down to get coffee at 6am, we made the mistake the other 2 days going before 6am and there wasn't any coffee ready. Well on Sunday the staff was cuddled up on the couch in the lobby together! Not in the back were no one could see, but right smack in the middle of the lobby. There was no coffee being made this morning because they were cuddling. The front desk lady and another gentleman with his Motel 6 uniform, they both were wearing at the time. I explained to the gentleman I needed to check out, because the front desk clerk had her head down and cuddled on the guys arm, she never even looked up or acknowledged me, and he told me to just put the keys down and Im good. I explained that I needed to make sure all 3 rooms were on the same card and that they would be charged to that card. He reluctantly got up and checked on the rooms and said they are paid for. I said ok thanks and asked for my receipt, I was told the printer did not work, which might be true, but this was crazy. I also would like to mention that they check us out on Saturday the 24th by mistake and cancelled all of our keys, but the lady at the front desk that night was able to just give us new keys. Sunday morning was also not any different, waking up to marijuana smell all through out the hallway. We raised the money to come on this trip and if we could have found another affordable place we would have, but for us, these high school kids deal with this already, I just did not like them exposed to that every time we were in the hotel, or not having coffee made because your cuddling, or not emptying the trash cans, or not turning over the beds. I truly hope for some type of accommodation towards my account, I honestly would like a refund for all 3 rooms as I said we traveled 800 miles and 16 hours, and honestly I have stayed in a lot of motel 6 hotels in florida and never came across this. I just think its wild that this was happening on the NON Smoking floor. I truly hope you are able to accommodate me in some way shape or form, this trip was very expensive as there were 10 of us in total and 3 rooms and everyone had the same issue in each room, from no trash picked up to no beds being turned over. I would truly request a refund and I hope my future reservations with other Motel 6's wont be hindered by this complaint, but we will not be staying in that Motel 6 in Virginia Beach again, and this is going to become a twice a year trip for our team and we will average between 3 to 8 rooms over the next several years. Thank you in advance for your help in this situation.
do not rent list
I am an ex employee for motel 6 in midvale I had to stay due to some issues and I was put on the do not rent list because I don't work for them anymore and the morning front desk person don't like me because I left bull crap I would not send anyone to this property.in my eyes that is discrimination and they dont explain why they put you on in the first place but that is okay I now what goes on there and they people that work there, they go to work drunk and high
room not clean
February March 23 I stop at the Motel 6 El Paso Texas.
Night manager took me in and assign me with room 141, this happen at about from 21:00 to 22:00.
This day I drove from town name Freer to El Paso and only I was looking for is to clean shower and clean bed.
I was wrong on both parts.
When I took off bed cover, I found black long women hair on the sheets and in the bathroom floor.
I went back to the front desk and ask manager is to change bidding's.
Her answer was "no one here and I can give you clean sheets and you can change yourself". I replied, no way. At this time she offered to switch me to room 136.
What is upsets me the most is this your company representative have no idea how to speak to the customers and she not provide me with the receipt. Also, was no light on when I open doors in both rooms.
I took photos and can provide you with if needed.

quality & service
My friend and I are staying at a Motel 6 in Phoenix Arizona. We are currently still staying here because we are unable to book any other hotels. But there have been some issues since we arrived. Upon entering the room we found trash behind the nightstand, leaving us to believe that the room was not properly cleaned. Again, not being able to find other accommodations, we stayed. A couple of other things we found were as followed:
- bathroom door does not close properly (seems to be off the hinge)
- The tub appears to be chipping but looks dirty upon arrival
- The toilet cover appears to be broken (it is not on the center of the toilet)
- bugs appear to be crawling out of the sink and also the tub
We arrived back to the hotel late last night, so we obviously tried to sleep in. As of 9 o'clock this morning, we have been hearing constant noise ( furniture moving, somebody running/ banging on the wall, door slamming...) we did call the front office to let them know and was told that nobody was saying in that room and that they were looking into it. Upon our own inspection we found children, that appeared to be working with the housekeepers, running in and out of the room. We decided to leave the room and come back hoping it would be over, but it is now 7 PM, and are still hearing very loud noises. Front desk (Steven) seemed to be unconcerned with this issue, and also seemed to be under the influence of something. We paid more than the standard rate of a basic Motel 6 and do not feel like we have received the experience promised by this chain for the money that we paid. I do have pictures of this particular room if needed.
Thank you for reading this, and I hope it helps improve the experiences of future guests coming to this hotel.
cleanliness, maintenance, smell
I checked into the Motel 6 in Gadsden, Alabama on the night of 3/17/2018 to get some sleep while en route to Gulf Shores. I requested a non smoking room and was asked to sign a form stating there was $150 fee if I smoked in the room. Since I don't smoke, I was happy to sign it. Once I got to my room there was an overwhelming odor of cigarette smoke. We found cigarette burn holes in the comforters and sheets. So why am I signing a $150 form for a non smoking room? And why give me a room that it's painfully obvious people smoke in when I asked for a non smoking room? Also, there were holes in the bathroom door, mold in the bathroom ceiling, the bathtub wouldn't drain out the water, and stains on the carpets. I was highly disappointed in the rooms condition and obvious lack of attention by the staff and management.
services
Apparently you cannot medicate with medical cannabis for anxiety and depression in these rooms. I reserved a room little to find out they decline my stay because I used cannabis for medicinal purposes in a smoking room and now I'm left with my monies to be refunded in 3 business days and a rainy night in my car. I will be contacting the BBB in regards to this harassment.
motel 6 location employees and grounds.
I am a heart patient trying to get some rest, had a very tough night. Was woke up from yelling maids in the hall. Then less then 5 minutes later, alarm to building was set off.Fire dept showed, then never came in the building. I have used motel 6, 3 times in the last week.2 in Reno area, and here.I would like to be comped a night stay.Back parking lot filled with broken down cars, and unregistered Vehicles abandoned.Drug use and transactions in back parking lot.Trash everywhere.Broken glass all over property.
Front desk advising me not to park in back lot.Seemed strange. If they need security here, then hire as needed.Does not feel safe here.Need to be compensated for my abrupt, and unfortunate stay.Do many shady characters hanging around on property.
Destroying a good building.
service
On February 28th my cousin Alexandria Rodriguez and her 18 month old baby checked in to motel, 6 in Pueblo CO. Alex has Lupus a home health worker checked on her daily and a therapist came once a week to work with the baby. They had thier room paid for on time all the way to March 14 when they were asked to leave. Reason was they where told they had too much stuff. An 18 month b a by tends to have alot more than older children and Alex had what was left of her belongings after an undisclosed forclosure, uprooted her. She wasn't loud, rude and was treated unfairly. She was charged 58 $ a day even though 3 adults and one kid was listed online for 50$. If they do not want paying customers what is it they do want? Also all vent filters were filthy no knobs on the stove which had good caked around knob stubs, and roaches.
overnight stay
I purchased three rooms for myself and my family for the night of March 13. We were woken at 7:30 AM with very loud electric saws and renovation sounds.. The renovation was occurring right across the hall and the workers didn't even bother to close the door. I complained to the front desk clerk who said she was sorry, but offered no resolution to the concern. This continued working very loudly for an extended time and we finally decide to vacate our rooms
recent stay at motel 6 in salt lake city
March 13, 2018
Dear Customer Service,
On March 10, I stayed at the MOTEL 6 in Salt Lake City located at 55N 400W Street. I did not have a good stay.
I am an experienced traveler and over the years have stayed at Motel 6 many times.in other words, I know that Motel 6 is a discount chain and I was prepared for a no-frills, yet comfortable experience.
Instead I had a bad experience.
Some of the lack-of-service aspects don't rise to meaningfully affecting my stay, but I am going to share them anyway, so you have the complete picture.
At check-in, I was told I'd be staying in the rear building. I had checked in after dark, and when I pulled around back I immediately noticed the exterior lights of that building weren't on, so I found my way to my second-floor unit [room 251] in the dark. I am an adult male and the darkness was no big deal, and by the time I returned that evening the lights had been turned on. But what would Tom Bodett think?
When I entered my unit, I found the dead-bolt was inoperable. Again, as a male that was no big deal. I wasn't worried about my safety and could rely on the chain-bolt. Had I been a lone female, I may have felt differently.
The room was utilitarian and clean, except for a used plastic cup on a high shelf in the bathroom area. I surmise it was too high for the cleaning staff to see. Not a big deal, but not expected.
I turned on the TV, but there was no signal. TV was advertised as coming with the room. But I wasn't there to watch television, so I let it go.
When I got up in the middle of the night to use the bathroom, I turned on the bathroom light and startled some insects in the tub who darted so quickly back and forth, I couldn't tell what they were. At first I worried they were cockroaches, but identified them as silverfish. Startling and creepy in the middle of a sleep, but not cockroaches or bedbugs, so no big deal.
The next two items were big deals.
I had noticed when I got into the room that the bathroom faucet had been [recently?] replaced and was not matched to the sink. It was ill-fitting but worked fine and I had no problem with that. Then the next morning I tried to take a shower.
Evidently the same cracker-jack plumber had replaced the water valve in the shower. There was hot water; there was cold water; but there was no mixing them. I had to stay out of the shower spray and dip a washcloth into the hot water to wash myself. That was a deal-killer in terms of my stay at Motel 6. I could do without a deadbolt or TV, but I 100% expected that a shower was included in my stay.
I went to the front desk and complained at check out, listing the deficiencies to the clerk so they could be remedied for the next guest, and to hear his response to my complaints. The clerk did not apologize for any inconvenience I encountered. Instead he implied I was at fault for not calling the front desk when the TV and deadbolt didn't work. If I had, they would have moved me to another room. If I had done that, I probably would not have encountered the bugs or the bad shower. What?... this was all my fault?
I stopped him from continuing his scripted response and suggested he could have started the conversation with "I'm sorry your stay didn't meet your expectations" and he replied that he was just going to do that when I interrupted him. But then he didn't apologize; he continued his scripted response. I asked the clerk for his name, but he said he couldn't give it to me.
I left Motel 6 completely unsatisfied.
My question for you, Motel 6, is why would I ever stay with you again?
Sincerely,
Chris Lawrie

Made reservation to stay 5 nights. Been using Motel 6 for about a year. Was put in a smoking room and told I can change to non-smoking the next day. The next day I was told it couldn't be done after I had paid. I did everything I was told to do. They still refuse to give me a non-smoking room. I got up a 5:00 am to inform the front desk like I was told to do. They told me they couldn't do nothing until 3 pm. At 4 pm I was told that they couldn't switch me to a non-smoking room. Last time I stay at a motel 6.
motel 6 tucson az airport
Just checked in and there is what appears to be a homeless many sleeping in the interior stairwell. The carpet in the hall looks like it hasn't been vacuumed in years there's what looks like animal fur all over. The shower is stained the grout is black and the bathroom wall is falling apart and moldy. If it wasn't midnight and I hadn't just drove 900 miles I would leave immediately.

On 3/10 18 i reserved a room for my mother who is terminally ill with cancer, about 7:30 we went to the room to hear the people in the next room fighting and arguing. We called the front desk to complain nothing was done long story short they had keep my mother up until 3:30 in the morning. Not cool i spend alot of money with ur company and would like to be refunded for the terriable night my mother had there. Thats the leadt u can do
Thankyou Terri Redd
the stay as a whole
My husband and I are very devout motel 6 customers. We checked into this one without incident. The phone in the room did not work and had to be routed through the adjoining room for us to have phone service. The remote control for the tv. Would not operate the power or volume. They finally got one that operated the volume but not the power. I went to take a shower to get ready for work, and the handle on the tub was stripped. They maintenance guy had to come in so I could do something as take a hot shower. The owner, when my husband went to tell him about the shower said "I just took a hot shower." we will not be coming back to this motel in the future and recommend nobody else does either!
management/housekeeping/ customer service
I have been staying at the wichita ks airport motel 6 for about 3 weeks now.
Paid on time everyday, my boyfriend had gotten called in early for work yesterday and called the front desk to tell them, I was asleep in the room and as soon as he got his break at 1 he would come pay the room. He was told it would be fine.
Mind you we have spend at least 53$ a day for 3 weeks.
She says it is fine, 11am came around and I get woken up and told he has to hurry up, 1pm come and I wake up to his call saying he is about 5 mins away as well as the manager telling me we have to leave.
I told her he was close she argued and rudely made sure I was leaving.
I packed and got out of the room 2 mins later he pulls up and I go and book the room again.
I just went to extend another day and I am being told that I am no longer able to rent there because of the 1pm incident.
I have spent roughly 1200 at this establishments, along with, a whole week that house keeping "forgot to clean", had no towels, first room I was in the sheets were dirty had to fight to obtain clean sheets, ect. Just an overall terriable experience.
And now I have to move to a new hotel that I didn't budget for.
Staff members were gossiping about the situation when I went to pay, I am currently going through immunitive therapy for my cancer and waiting to move into my apartment henceforth why I have been living in a hotel room. This is the worst experiance I have had at a hotel, and the management and staff here are absolutely rude and unbecoming. And I was treated so poorly after I have spent a large amount to this establishment for atrocious treatment

The lady who runs this place is very rude. I made some complaints of some things broke in my room so I wouldn't be charged for them. She tells me if I don't like the way her hotel is I can check out and find somewhere else to go. The pictures on the website are no where near compared to what this room looks like. I have family in the hotel business and this is not how you run a business. People come here for a place to stay and feel welcome away from home. Not deal with rude people who doesn't really care. Thanks Brandi Miller
