In January 2017 I made my first-time-ever purchase of one item from Northstyle, which was later returned as it didn’t fit. No problem with refund, and I thought it was the end of the story as it should have been. However, on February 7 - and on the fifth day of every month thereafter - my credit card was charged $14.95 per month for "VIP" status. Unfortunately for me I didn't notice these charges for six months and when I did, I called Northstyle to refute the charges. The customer service rep told me I must have knowingly signed up and that "it would have been very clear to me that I was signing up." That is an absolute lie. Why would I sign up to pay a steep monthly fee for a VIP status to a store I had never purchased from before in my life and never purchased from again, it would make no sense for me to do that. She said I would have to call another number if I wanted to cancel my future VIP status, and the number she gave me was never answered. I called my bank to dispute all of the VIP status charges since I never authorized them. Since I failed to notice the charges on my credit card statement for six months (my fault for not watching more carefully, lesson learned!) they could only go back four months to dispute. When I googled it, I found numerous other people with this same complaint. BEWARE OF BUYING FROM NORTHSTYLE, THEY WILL RIP YOU OFF!

I have the SAME CONCERN about the VIP fee on my credit card. I DID NOT AUTHORIZE this. I had it stopped 2 days ago. Apparently part of the VIP fee is that you get free shipping. Well the item I have had on back order for many months has a shipping charge on it. When I inquired that I had already (unknowingly) been paying a $14.99 fee that included free shipping, the clerk said that once I get (if ever) my product, I have to fill out paperwork to get the shipping back. This is a SCAM! I will be reporting this!

Just caught this from my credit card company, as others stated. Didn’t check very carefully each month small charges but somehow, simply for making a purchase & return, found myself paying for some ridiculous monthly VIP enrollment of $14.95! Crazy! Watch out buying from this company

Hi had the same problem we were charged with our consent the amount of $14.95 every month from north style Vip for about a year. I am Trying to cancel with my bank. Question; will I get my money back? I did not see this coming, with this virus here, we are crunching our money right! Please If any one knows what to do...

Northstyle is still scamming in 2021. I made one purchase. Sadly, I did not realize they were charging me $14.99/month for the last year! I was totally unaware that "I had signed up" for this and am pretty sure I didn't. This is not something I do - no Costco/BJ's membership, no A Prime, etc. My credit card will not make good on this and attempts to contact the Northstyle customer service led to foreign language messages, unavailable numbers and hang ups (contact numbers had also been redacted from other complaint messages). I will be sure to tell everyone I know what a horrible company this is. As well as pay closer attention to my credit card statements. Lesson learned...

I was ready to fight! I called the number on the VIP legal agreement [protected] and William said no problem he will stop the VIP charges of 14.95 as of today! He was so nice about it and didn't ask questions, I was floored and forgot to ask for the money back... :)

Same thing with this company. Just found it after changing our credit card for all online purchases and this company and Blair VIP showed up. I backtracked a year to find a purchase that was made. Not sure how they can sign you up for a recurring charge when you make a purchase but no way we would have agreed to that. Lesson learned to be more careful and check each entry on my statements. That’s probably what their counting on

I too made one time only purchase and from then on I have been charged 14.95 every month on my credit card, which I am now going to cancel to stop this fraudulent charge!

My wife purchase one piece of clothing in February of this year (2022) and our credit card has been charged $14.95 each month since for the last 7 months. It is my fault for not paying close attention to our credit card account. I called to cancel the VIP but they will one refund only one month. Be careful when purchasing anything from them. If they offer to give you a 10% discount if you sign up for a free VIP account, beware. It is only free for the first month and then they begin charging $14.95 each month.

I bought a coat from Northstyle last year. No problem with unauthorized charges. I just bought another one last month. Already my CC company has alerted me to a 14.95 charge. I know Woman Within does this. Their clothing is cheap but good for staples. Northstye is not cheap and I expected more from them than these pathetic tricks.
