Opentip Review: Terrible Customer Service for Purchase Orders
I gotta say, I never thought I'd be writing a review about a company, but this one really got me going. So, we were trying to put together a fundraiser for our school and we needed to place a big order - like, multi-thousand dollars big. But here's the thing: schools can only order stuff using a purchase order. So we sent in our purchase order and waited. And waited. And waited some more. It took them over a week to get back to us! And then, after another week went by, they said they couldn't get in touch with the school. But here's the kicker: they only email at like, 2 in the morning! Who does that?
We asked them for a phone number so we could call them and sort things out, but they wouldn't give it to us. Can you believe that? We had to keep asking and asking, but they just kept saying no. It was like they didn't even care about our order. After three whole weeks of trying to get this thing sorted out, we finally had to give up and cancel the whole thing. It was a real bummer, let me tell you.
Now, I know some people might say that Opentip has good prices or whatever, but let me tell you: don't even bother if you need to use a purchase order. These guys are a mess. They're totally unorganized and they don't seem to care about their customers at all. So if you're thinking about ordering from them, just be warned: it might not go so well.

Hey guys, just wanted to share my experience with Opentip Store. So, I recently ordered some Classroom Uniforms Juniors Hipster Scooters in Khaki size 11/12 for my daughter's school uniform. However, when the skirts arrived, I was shocked to find out that they were adult size 11/12! I was so disappointed and frustrated because nowhere on their product page did they mention that these skirts were for adults/teenagers. This was clearly false advertising and an attempt to mislead customers just to get rid of their remaining stock.
I immediately contacted their customer service and requested a refund. However, I was informed that there is a 20% restocking fee on the item price. I was not happy about this, but I still decided to return the skirts because they were of no use to me. I filled out the return request form and made sure to indicate my reason for returning the product.
I also left a note saying that I want a full refund because their products are being sent back to them. I was so angry and frustrated that I may have used some strong language in my note, but I think it was justified given the situation. I mean, who wouldn't be upset if they received the wrong product, right?
Anyway, I shipped the skirts back to their warehouse and I'm currently waiting for my refund. I hope they process it soon because I really need the money back. I immediately called UPS and gave them the suite number, and thankfully, the package was delivered the same day. I reached out to Opentip.com via email several times to inquire about the missing pair of pants. On June 6th, I received a response stating that the first letter "X" represents a warehouse code and that if shipped from different warehouses, some items in the following list may arrive separately in different packages. On June 13th, I was informed that the item was on backorder and would be shipped out on Monday. On June 21st, I was told that they would contact the shipping department and process the reship as soon as possible.
Unfortunately, as of today, July 18th, 2018, I have yet to receive the missing pair of pants. I have reached out to Opentip.com once again to request a refund for the balance that I paid for the pair of pants that I did not receive. Communication with Opentip.com has been a struggle, and it seems that fulfilling merchandise orders is not their strong suit.

Warning: Opentip Store's 'Richardson' Hats are Sharp and Misleading
I got some hats from Opentip Store and they look like they're supposed to be Richardson hats, but they're not. The plastic inside the hats is really sharp and it hurts your head when you take the hat off. We never had this problem with any Richardson hats before, and we've never had any problems with Opentip before. We sent some of the hats back to them, but they still won't admit that the hats are bad. Anyone who tries these hats on can tell that they're bad. The black part of the hat (you can see it in the picture) is almost like chicken wire! So if you're thinking about buying these hats, be careful.

Terrible Experience: Delayed Shipping and Address Mix-Up - Do Not Recommend
This store is not very good. I made an order on a Tuesday and wanted it shipped to a different address. On Thursday, they sent me an email saying that the address I gave them wouldn't work and suggested a different one. I thought they knew what they were doing, so I said okay. But then it took 8 whole days for them to actually ship my order! And then, two months later, they kept bothering me about a $60 charge because they said my address was wrong. But they were the ones who changed it in the first place! It's all just a big joke. I don't recommend using this store. If you read the reviews, you'll see that they're all over the place.

This company is not recommended by me. I had a bad experience with them. It took them a long time to ship my item, about 6 days. They argued with me and said it only took them 2 days to ship it out, but I checked the tracking and it showed that the label was printed 6 days after I purchased. When I finally received my order, it was in a plastic bag with no internal packing or packaging. As a result, the panty hose were snagged and ruined. I was very upset about this. It took 13 days for me to receive my order, and when it arrived, I got 6 pairs of hosiery that cost $8 each, all ruined in a plastic bag. I tried to contact them to get an RMA and return the items, but they did not return my calls or emails. I suggest that if you bought from them and received damaged items, file a chargeback.

Not responding to order status
I ordered Ball Caps on 6/4/21 and was given an estimated ship date between 6/8 and 6/10. My order #4295202. It is now 6/14 and no caps have arrived. I have tried multiple times to contact the company for an updated status via website, email and phone. The contact through the website and email have both been unresponsive. The phone just rings and rings with no answer the times I have called. I am CST and have tried calling between 1pm and 4pm.

The item (foil fringe curtains) was ordered on July 27 and on August 6 the item still had not been shipped. When I called to ask about the status of this order they told me it had been shipped and provided a fake tracking number. The item had NOT been shipped and was only shipped several days later. At that point I no longer need this party item (party was now over) and asked for a refund. They said the item had already been shipped but that I could keep the item and they would still refund the payment. It's been several weeks now and they are now refusing to refund the payment. They have horrible customer service and consistently lie about everything.

I purchased around $860 worth of items from this website. I reside in Canada so I had to ship all these items to an address in the USA and re-ship them to my address in Canada cause the shipment rates opentip.com was offering for shipping to Canada was really high.
The first thing that went wrong was that I had waited for a month, and my items were not shipped yet! After calling the customer service for many times, they told me that some of the items that I have ordered are REALLY HEAVY! and it takes time for the warehouse to ship it and ... they're gonna charge me even more for shipping those! (To the USA ofcourse!). So I cancelled the heavy items .. and guess what .. the shipping charge that they'd put on my invoice didn't change AT ALL! When I questioned why .. they said the first estimation was wrong and they had to charge me this amount to ship the remaining items!
Second problem was about a bed-in-a-bag that I purchased. When I was buying this item online, I made a mistake in choosing the size of it. I chose double instead of king. I called them immediately after putting the order through online. I sent them three emails asking to correct the size of this item. They told me that everthing will be ok. I checked on this more than three times. When I recieved my items from the USA, I noticed that they'd sent me the wrong size! I'd already paid for the shipment of this item from USA to CANADA and I'd also paid international tax on it ... I was really pissed off. so I decided to return it, I sent the item back, it costed more than $82 for me to send this item back to ATAFA from Canada, but they told me that they'll just reimburse me for $15, which is the cost of the shipment with in usa. This is while I had already spent more than $50 to get this item to canada form the USA. Basically I lost more than $100 on this item! and ... no body is there to answer why in the first place they sent me the wrong size, after being contacted for more than 5 times about this?
Third problem was when one of my items was out of stock. I wanted to cancel it. it took a long time for them to reimburse me for this, and at the end i didn't get the exact amount that I was supposed to get! They told me there has been an error in the previous calculations, and they'd charged me less than what they were supposed to before ... so they have to adjust that and reimburse me less!
