boston store - unethical business practices
The Oro Gold store in the Copley mall uses unethical business tactics to make sales, plus the phone number listed on the receipt is a non working number (at least it was when I had my awful experience there several years ago). Several other people have submitted complaints about the same manager and it is shocking to see that two years later the same guy is still working at this store. The sales person put on this whole show about letting me use her employee discount so the products would be cheaper for me (after getting approval from the manager). When I got back to my hotel I decided that it was crazy to spend so much for beauty products and when I called the phone number on the receipt it was a non working number. I tried calling because the receipt said products weren't returnable despite the sales person telling me I could return them and I wanted to check before going back to the store which was far away. NY just opened a store and I really hope that they don't take part in the same tactics as the other stores seem to. By the way, since I couldn't get back to the Boston store to return the products I ended up keeping them and using them. I'm not impressed.

oro gold cream
I was approached by Oro Gold sales reps on Bond Street. They have a very aggressive marketing strategy and told me that if I use the oro gold exfoliator my 'dead-looking skin' would actually brighten up in a matter of days. I told them that I did not want to try the product but they said if I would just come inside the shop they would create miracles with my skin. The product itself is not something spectacular, not even mediocre. The gold leaf which is meant to get in the pores and cleanse them is too thick to penetrate deeper that the upper 1/5 of the epidermis. The miraculous exfoliation that you see is not dead skin coming off either. It’s the product’s chemistry (the cetrimonium chloride and carbomer) reacting with the massage motion you use to apply it. It is basically nothing but a cheap trick.
As the sales reps (now there were 2 of them not letting me go) kept insisting. I told them that I would not buy the product before reading reviews. They told me that I should buy it as they had a one off 50% sale going on "for that day" and if I would not be satisfied with customer reviews they would be more than happy to take it back.
I went home and read all the reviews about Oro Gold's dodgy reputation and decided to go back and return the product. The problem is they do not seal the products in anyway and later claim that they will not accept returns for hygienic concerns. A little notice behind the cashier says that they do not accept returns and any customer wishing to return a product should email the customer services.
I emailed the customer services. I should note that they do not have it listed on their website which is really sketchy. They did not return my email for two weeks and later told me that items on sale cannot be returned. The next day I went into the shop and asked the sales person for the refund he promised I would get. In a belittling way he said 50 pounds should not matter too much and if I'm worried sick about it he would give the money from his own pocket. He gave me his personal email address and told me to send him an email explaining my discontent. He never answered my email.
Oro Gold representatives circle around different branches so that they would not have to come face to face with angry customers.
I think their business strategies are completely illegitimate.

rude and discriminating staff
Lady came up to me a few months ago and said to me omg why is your skin so horrible and red, I explained I just had me eyebrows waxed, and walked away as she was so rude, I retured to carosel westfields cannington in western australia 5 weeks later for her to only approch me again and I told her she was so rude to me last time I would buy anything from her. now every time I go there she has the staff run up to me saying things not bad things but embarassing me infront of my husband and children, only to find out I cant complain as she is the manager... where can I complain higher as I sure westfields should have video footage
I too fell victim to the high pressure sales tactics of these people. After being given a free sample while walking through the hotel foyer of the sheraton waikiki, I decided to return to the oro gold salon to look into the eye serum. The young girl working then proceeded to apply products left right and centre to my face, bagged them up and presented me with a bill for $1000. To my eternal chagrin I paid it. She then got all excited and told me I had won 5 other products ( which she placed in my bag) plus a free facial. I returned to my room totally shocked, but decided to accept my facial as I felt I had definately paid for it. It was given to me by a young man and he spent the entire time trying to sell me more products, to the value of $4500. They obviously felt after my previous form that I was a good target. I spent 45 minutes laying on a table with this man putting the pressure on me to buy more Products. As others have mentioned, each time I refused the products the price got lower, but when I finally managed to escape from the shop with no further purchases I actually felt traumatised. I have to add too that its the worst facial I have ever had. They were not interested in pampering me, only in making money...
high pressure sales and physical intimidation
The salesmen at Ya Ya Beauty/Oro Gold in the Mall of America used high pressure sales and physical intimidation techniques to get me to accept a sample of one of their products. When reaching for the sample, another salesman came over and both insisted that I physically come into the store for another sample that was located on the other side. I stood at the threshold of the door waiting and was yelled at to go in and get the other sample. Unfortunately, I was so caught off guard by their aggressive behavior that I went in as they demanded. I suddenly felt like I was in a situation in which I was being 'mugged' and just wanted to find a way to get out of there..as I didn't feel safe. The sales man stood way to close to me physically, and kept telling me how 'sexy' I was. Without asking, he rubbed a cream under my eye and demanded I hold out my wrist. Again, I felt like I was being 'mugged' and looked around the store for any other kind of human help. The other sales people avoided looking at me. In the end I tried to get up from a chair he had me sit in and walk away, thanking him for the sample. He stood in my way very close in front of the chair so I couldn't comfortably get up. I repeatedly told him I wasn't able to afford anything he was trying to sell me, as I am in the middle of a divorce with three children. He kept on with various products until finally asking me what I could afford. At this point I felt degraded, humiliated, afraid and just wanted to get away from him and out of there. I told him probably something under fifty dollars. At that he said he could sell me the peeler for cost at forty-nine dollars. I quickly agreed just to get the heck out of there. I could care less about using the product or even if it works. Today I was violated. I didn't feel safe and felt I had no choice but to haggle my way out of a very traumatic experience. I'm going to have nightmares about this sales man! And on top of that, the store has a no return, no refund policy, so I can't do anything to reclaim my money. Again...'mugged' at the mall! Also, I will definitely boycott going back to the Mall of America if they endorse this kind of store and sales staff.
Sincerely,
Sad Customer

There are other similar recent experiences posted on the web.
A client of mine was the victim of similar practices.
The MN Attorney General has powers to investigate and enjoin unfair business practices, but does not do so unless they get enough customers to complain, so they are sure it is not an isolated incident, and so they can use the government resources to serve the public good.
So if you want them to stop, you may want to get a complaint form from the Atty General and submit the complaint.
So, if a gang of men in a van pulled up to you and 'demanded' you get in with them, you would be caught off guard by their aggressive behavior and do it?
bullied into purchase
I was pressured/bullied/fooled into buying two beauty products at a total cost of $74.36. The man, Matteo Bono, touched me, shoved the bag of product into my hand and said it was free but then said he would sell it at a discount for me. He made it extremely hard to say no and wouldn't let me leave for 20 minutes.

was pushed in to buying the day cream after i said i wouldn't i was in las vegas for a wedding & didn't bring much cash with me and the sales people wouldn't take no for an answer. I won't be buying this produst in the future.
thank you for your time if you would like to e-mail me my email is [protected]@hotmail.

dishonest business practices
I too purchased these products but felt I had spent to much money. I tried to return them and the owner or manager of the story told me they were not returnable. He failed to tell me this when I purchased them. He was very slick and did most of the things that were in other complaints.
I have never used these products because I am waiting for my credit card company to try to get my money back. According to the state of CA, if there are no refunds, then the store has to have a sign showing this. There was no sign nor did he tell me.
Hate scam artist. and this store and employees are truly are scam artist.

Check out the latest exposé on the Gold Elements store in Opry Mills Mall, Nashville, TN: https://www.wsmv.com/news/bbb-warns-about-skin-care-store-at-opry-mills/article_a1fd5ed6-a752-11e9-8e4d-37d9d4e8a6cf.html
I was practically pulled off the street, and before I knew what was going on had spent an insane amount of money on this crap. Who in their right mind would want this stuff, let alone the insane amounts of money they charge for these products.
I too was taken in by a mall salesman. I don't even think the products are honest, let alone the people. I see no sign of any vitamins in the ingredients, and some ingredients have some degree of toxicity. At least one was an artificial dye, but they tried to tell me it was just another name for a vitamin. And a few grains of gold will do nothing. One can buy a little flask of gold leaf for under $10 at the Royal Ontario Museum gift shop. This scam is unbelievable. If someone wants to do a deep peel they can get salicylic acid at the drugstore and or use egg and lemon juice. I am embarrassed to have paid anything for this "24k multivitamin deep peeling". It is just cheap junk.
I was "accosted" at my local mall by these stalkers also. Got swindled into buying some stupid peel and cream mask. These people should be reported to the police for basically temporarily kidnapping and stalking a person and not letting them leave until you buy something. I haven't returned to this mall because of these people. Who ever is in charge of allowing these kiosks into their malls, should be told by their customers that either get rid of these ###s or we won't shop here anymore.
I was practically kidnapped and my credit cards held hostage at an Oro gold store. I thought I was there for a free facial. Right after the man rubbed the first cream on my face, he started talking about the products and persuading me to buy them. After he took my credit cards from me to charge $3000 dollar to my cards, he talked about his other products, and charged more money to the cards that were still in his possession. At the end, when I was about to complete the sale, the man told me that I had to get the platinum for another $2000. I spent $8000 at that store total. To make things worse, the product didn't even work, in fact, my skin is now in rashes from those products. I left a message with them but they haven't responded back to me. I already refuted the credit card charges, and I have an appointment with a Dermatologist so I can have a statement from a professional in writing incase I have to go to small claims court for the full refund.
I had a similar experience with Gold Elements in Nashville, TN. After I filed a complaint against the company with Tennessee's Consumer Protection Agency, I was assigned an agent to mediate my claim with the company. I received that news in late November, and I sent that agency copies of all emails, blogs, and posts that I had made, as well as a detailed account of the salesclerk's fraudulent misrepresentation of the contract and the products. To date, I have not heard anything from the state agency, but I am hopeful that all will be decided in my favor and that I will receive a refund of the $3600 I was duped out of at the Opry Mills Aurarius/Gold Elements store.
All I can say is fight for your refund. I am glad that my credit card companies are nice and were happy to refund the charges pending investigations. It looks like they are going to be refuted after all. If you don't fight it's not going to happen. Don't just going and complain to the people in the store and ask for a refund and sit on it waiting for them to get back to you like they say, which will never happen. One thing I learned having a father as a judge is to have everything documented. When I realized that my face didn't look any better, and started getting worse because the products made my face rash up, I saw a dermatologist and made sure she had in writing a note saying that I am allergic to the products and to stop taking them. I also refuted the charges from my credit cards and explained the whole story. "Note" never by a product for a high price that you are not sure about with cash or a debit card. At least with a credit card they can't hold you responsible for SCAM charges, and you have it on record. I printed out my on-line statement that showed the charges before they were refuted. I have a record of the charges made. The sales man helped me to the car and told me that he put the receipt in the bag, well when I got home I couldn't find the receipt in any of the bags. No problem, I called my credit card companies to send me copies of the receipt just incase. They told me it would take about 2 billing cycles. I had them send it to me anyways, but at least I have my statement with the charges on it. I already made a consumer complaint with the California Attorney General. He wrote a letter back. They might not pursue an investigation, at least one made by me. However, my parent's are helping me, and they live near the store location, so I shipped them the products to turn in, and my father who is a retired judge, happens to know the Attorney General personally, so he will help me out. I think the guy that sold me the items and his supervisor are getting scared right now. Since I had the number of the sales guy since he texted me right after I refuted the charges I wrote him a nasty text message and I took pictures with my phone of the dermatologist note and the Attorney General letter so he knows I'm serious. He just told me that he was going to talk to his supervisor who tried calling me. I was advised not to talk to this company by phone because of how dishonest they are, and that there is a possibility that they will say I will get a refund but ignore me ext. ext.. I texted the sales guy to have his supervisor either text me or e-mail me, and I told him the reason is that I want everything documented in writing. His supervisor e-mailed me to give her a call and that they are looking at both sides of the case. Well I didn't call her. Instead, I replied to her email with everything I sent to the sales guy. I sent those attachments of the dermatologist not and the Attorney General letter. Also I had copied a bunch of links which exposed the Oro Gold cosmetic company. I think she is as scared as the sales guy is. Apparently, I demanded the correct shipping address for the company because a shipment that they have shipped to me had a phony address on it which wasn't recognizable so I took a picture of it and then refused it with a note saying return to sending and I showed on an attachment to the sales guy and his supervisor the phony address and demanded the real address. Everything is going smooth on my end. A few minutes ago the sales guy texted me an address he claimed is legit but I told him I already sent it to my parents in California to return.
I have been fighting for a refund for seven months, and I have a legal basis for such. I was a victim of fraudulent misrepresentation, and I have proof that I meet all six requirements for such a claim. To date, I have filed complaints with the BBB-Nashville, the Tennessee Department of Commerce and Insurance - Division of Consumer Affairs, the FTC, ecommerce.com, and the small claims court in Nashville. When the Tennessee Department of Commerce and Insurance tried to contact the company, no one responded. I have since forwarded a letter from the Gold Elements store's owner to that agency, and they are re-opening the case. The BBB-Nashville agency has also reopened my complaint, as I gave them full contact information for the owner (Assaf Amar/Amar Assaf), thanks to the lawyer's letter. Today I'll file a complaint with the FDA, and I plan to request a court date for small claims court if, by the end of March, I do not get a response to the letter I just sent the owner's lawyer. I cited the TN statutes that apply. This company is in clear violation of them.
This is very helpful
My daughter got lured by their "sweet-talking" sales pitch. I just found out about it when I checked her bank statements and I saw that she bought these Oro gold products amounting to $570. When I asked why she bought those products which she doesn't need coz she is only 19 yrs old, she told me that she got pressured into buying by their sales people who convinced her that she needed some creams and deep peeling chemicals. My daughter never had a skin problem, but she developed some skin allergies when they gave her a sample and that they convinced her that the "allergies" can be cured by their products. To those people who will be in the SF area, be very very careful when you go to Market st. There are sales people of these Oro gold products who are out to scam you of your money! These people have no business ethics at all, they shouldn't be allowed by the government to operate under false pretense.
I had a similar experience to all the complaints regarding slick, pushy salesmen and not being told the products were not returnable until after I'd purchased them. I contacted the mall manager, and they told me that the OroGold store was under contract with the mall to return unopened products within 7 days. The OroGold staff outright lied and made me feel like an idiot. The mall manager made sure I was able to return my products for a full refund. Don't trust the sales people or managers or customer service at the OroGold stores. They lie.
Orogold in Escondido does not do returns. The Salesmen in here flatter you into coming in to try creams on your face. I bought one of the creams, did not open it, and went back today to return. The Salesperson did not point out their "no return" policy and since I sat on a stool without my reading glasses for the eye treatment he put on me I was not able to read the fine print on the receipt. The sign is at the back of the store on a small standing sign by the register. The owner was abrupt and not friendly at all, he was practically rude. The Salesperson that sold me this product would not even look at me. Yes, this store is a scam, as noted in the last comment. I will certainly tell my friends, neighbors, co-workers and anyone I see that may be around if I am near Orogold. After all "word of mouth" and repeat customers are the best advertising their is! I plan on telling some of the Mall people too so they are aware that customers are being scammed.
I have found that it was very difficult to report them as being a rip-off... They seem to be so nice. They will introduce you to everyone they know. You make complaints to the customer service and they refuse to refund your money because of the note on the bottom of the receipt. They very best you may be able to do is to get them to give you more products. They will try to talk you into buying more and more products. Brag that you are getting a great buy and you must promise to never tell anyone what you paid.
The big thing is that there are no prices posted and you don't know what you are paying until they print out the receipt. Notice that the receipt is itemized with what you have purchased but not the price for each item. The only way I got anything is when I complained with proof that they overcharged me for products.
Those who have been in America long enough have married Americans and get them pregnant within a year. They get their green-card marriage then an anchor baby.
Stay away from anyone who won't allow you to refund your money in full if you are not satisified!

Retail stores and Websites of deceit. This company is truly a web of lies.
The "store" at Westfield Horton Plaza is not a kiosk is a permanent, full time location . Horton Plaza should feel shame for allowing this horrible company to lease in it's mall. I trusted a major mall to have respectible clients, well i was wrong. Hundreds of Better Business, FCC, yelp and other high profile review sites all with horrible reviews just like mine. Racism was also in high gear when the "lady" i was being conned by, went into a racist rant about the types of people she could NOT sell to, she clearly stated that she ignores certain races (and named them) because she could not raise the prices. It's sad since her "race" was the subject of one on the most horrible racist events in our history. People never learn.
SHAME ON WESTFIELD FOR NOT PROTECTING THE CUSTOMERS INTEREST . REMOVE THESE THIEVES AND SEND THEM BACK TO COUNTRIES THAT EXPECT TO BE CHEATED.
BEWARE BEWARE LADIES! Do not go in that store you will regret it. Liars and cheats.
Yes, Another bad review for orogold. It seems the mindset is to ripoff the customers. I was made aware of the brute force sales tactics prior to my visit but when i refused to go for it, my credit card was charged 7 times what i purchased. They were extremely fraudulent . It took a huge attack against them to get the charges off of the credit card. A Month later I had fraudulent charges on it from the same country as the Orogold store owner, what are the odds?

I have had a similar experience and have still not received any reply back from Oro Gold regarding a refund.
I'm in California and have started the process of fighting to get my refund and to get OroGold shut down in CA --by contacting the CA State Attorney General and the BBB-- after also being LIED to on Nov 25, 2012. I had the eye serum and the night cream applied under my left eye and when I asked, "Do you have a RETURN POLICY", I was lied to and told, "Yes, 90 days". The price was slashed two times for me, so I thought with the 90 day guarantee, why not. After getting home, 1 hour later, my eye was stinging from the eye serum and/or cream so I looked at my receipt to confirm the Return Policy and found "No Refunds. Exchanges within 90 days" written on the very bottom of the receipt, which had been folded and put in my purchase bag. I returned to the store on Nov 26 asking for a refund because of the reaction, to which I was scoffed at while told, "We don't do refunds. If you buy something at Christian Dior you can't get a refund and we are a better company, like them." I was also called a liar, when I said the Sales Girl told me I had 90 days to return the product. I have also filed a complaint with the MALL MANAGEMENT asking why they would allow a lying/cheating store in their mall, and they are now involved in the process. So for all who have been ripped off by OroGold, I say please file complaints with your State Attorney General and Mall Managers and request their help in getting your refund and request that these stores be shut down to protect future consumers! It is worth the fight to get the FULL REFUND, since we all have been charged so much, and there is power in numbers so if we all file complaints perhaps we could see OroGold TOTALLY SHUT OUT OF the United States!
deep peeling
I bought the Oro Gold Deep Peeling and the Ant-Aging eye serum at Vaal Maal in Vanderbijlpark on the 5th October 2011 by Shay. When I come back from town I put the parcell in my wardrobe. On Friday afternoon I want to clean my face I open the box and inside the holder there was a used empty holder. I think that was a tester. I contact Shay on Saturday moning and he tell me he will come back to me, but he did not take my Cell number or adress. Would you please contactr me?
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
I hope you took them to court.
I also feel very upset. I purchased orogold products in the Vaal mall in Vanderbijlpark yesterday. I was told lies from the start. Firstly that the product came from Itally, only to read at home - made in Japan. Then I was told you only apply the moisturiser 3 time weekly so this will last for one year, because the product contain gold, this man was also apparently the owner - Raphael! only to read the back of the box, apply daily - how does the owner not know his own product. I do spent R360-oo per month on my normal cosmetics. I have 4 kids and cannot afford more, now I will have to pay this scam for the next year and not be able to buy myself any nrmal not even expensive day or night cream! How can people live with themselves? A.
dishonest
I bought the Oro Gold exfoliator and hand cream from an agent at the Eastgate shopping centre, JHB under, I must say complete duress and false pretences. The agent showed me the product and I was really impressed. As I suffer with very dry feet not being able to wear closed shoes, the agent told me this would be very good for me. I purchased this product for R700.00 and was so impressed by the sales talk and demonstration, I came home and showed all my family and friends, to my dismay when I started to use this product, it actually does NOT WORK. I have to put the cream on 5 times a day to keep my hands and feet soft and moist. a week later my son and I went back to Eastgate and I saw another rep I called her and told her how disappointed I am in the product and that I want to lodge a complaint - I had put cream on my hands that morning about an hour before I got to Eastgate and she smelt my hands and said I had not used your product she then called one of her colleagues over and he smelt my hand and stated that I did not have your cream on my hands. i have sent an email to them to complain i could only find an overseas email no South African Local address to be found and the response was " we do not honour returns" and many people i have come into contact with have the same complaint
I had a similar experience in arpil-2018 in san francisco (powell street store, next to sir francis drake hotel). beware of sales rep (josef) and his store manager (aviv).
Their scam starts off by josef saying there's a world-famous skin specialist in town for a seminar and that this man (aviv) is paid tens of thousands of dollars in consulting fees by celebrities and other wives of rich businessmen. aviv happens to make a special visit to the store and gives you a free consultation. he tells you terrible things about your skin to scare you into buying all sorts of products you don't need at outrageous prices. unethical sales practice.
Josef also told me their lumior infrared led device was specifically designed for them by nasa (!). (false advertising - nasa developed this technology in the early-2000's for wound healing.) false advertising.
When I got home, I noticed the receipt said aviv was the "store manager" and when I did a web search on the product ingredients, there was nothing special about them - they are the same ingredients you can find in your everyday drugstore products (!). I asked for a refund and they refused (even though they reassured me *during* the store visit that I could return the product anytime because their number 1 priority was my satisfaction with their products). false advertising.
I then filed a dispute with my credit card company for fraud and unethical practices. only then did they send their customer service rep (meg collins) to work with me. when I explained the situation, she claimed she spoke with management and was approved to issue me a refund. to this day, I still have not received this refund.
*do not be fooled or bullied by these people. they are all scam artists.*
Nov. 2014
My daughter and I went to the Citrus Mall in Tampa and received a ticket for a free massage, facial. We went to check it out and before you know it we were both getting this awesome facial / massage . With every product they applied they would show you little balls of cotton revealing dirt and dead skin cells etc. after this demonstration they had a mirror and showed you the half of the face that was done so you could see the difference. Yes I did see a real difference . Anyway, all of a sudden there was sooo much fast talk
That my head was in a whirlwind ! They starting applying all different creams, serums etc.
saying you need this, and that .this goes with this for max. results. Long story short, I walked out spending close to, 2, 000 !' YES, 2, 000. Dollars. Never in my life did I do such a lame thing .i don't even know how I got sucked in but I did. Well the next day when i used the am.treatment no change like in the salon evening treatment, same no results. Ans. to this...lighting, and trick mirrors ! It's a Houdini illusion with cosmetics ! A friend of a friend who entertains doing optical illusions showed us how it was done ! OMG ! This totally flipped me out ! Best of all I'm stuck with it. Oh well, the old adage still stands, "If it seems to good to be true ...it usually isn't ." Buyer Beware !
I'm afraid to say that I have also been had by this crowd. The guy who sold me the products promised to follow up on a regular basis & wanted photo's on a regular basis & guess what, I haven't heard a peep out of him. People be firm and put your "foot" down & don't be afraid to say no. There are far too many chancers and sharks in this world who cannot wait to rip the next person off.
i brought the oro gold deep peeling, yup sales woman was very tricky and good at talking . the way they showed how it work on my hand look like magic make you think you have a lot of dead skin but by the time brought it home and use it on my face dose not work at all some dry patches on my face dose not go a way ...so i hate hate it so much then i look at the recieve it said exchange only within 14 days i mean if the product is really good it should they will not scared that you will return it, so people think twice about buying it ...
I bought two the oro gold products yesterday and I'm very disappointed. The sales man was very good at talking but didn't listen much after cuting the price 4 times. I said that I didn't have the money but he said I was getting a very good deal. And I can bring it back to get a refund. He would even let me go and come back just to check if I had enough money. He said I'll have to pay full price. After handing him my card I felt so annoyed with myself that have way down the road I turned back and asked for a refund. They gave me a rubbish story about saying I had to email the head office my transaction ID to get a number for my refund. I emailed them and they responded quickly but asking for a reason which I had already emailed them. They even requested for a picture and I also sent it. They then said that they couldn't issue me a refund. These people are liars and should be avoided at all cost. I'm out £100 and Christmas is not to mention paying the bills
I was at the Sandton Shopping Mall walking out one of the stores and this lady comes up to me saying come, come try this you will love it. I walk up to her telling my husband it wont be long and i need a new face product. She sat me down told me about an exfoliating gel. It looked amazing but my husband was not buying into this. She put a whole range for my skin infront of me and i was ready to buy then she pulled out a laminated card with a price of a bar of soap from R400.00 to a cream for R2 000.00. Then i asked what a bout a cleaner. She never could answer me so her friend very quikly said buy these products and i will give you this cleaner worth R400.00 free. When i read the label it was a body soap bar (lavender) then i suspected that these guys are not genuine. They were pushing there prices down and saying you would get this free etc. She told me that she would give me a cell no. and if i bought the product i would call her in the week and tell her i loved the product. I really started rethinking and then told her sorry but we dont have that kind of money to spend. They were not impressed. U must be thinking why didnt we get up sooner. They just would let us leave. Please ladies be careful.
I was so discouraged today when I tried to return the $ 400.00 worth of product that I had purchased just a couple hours earlier, to find that they have a very strict NO RETURNS policy! I even told the sales person over and over that I couldn't afford it, before I bought it! I am embarrassed to admit that even after telling him over and over that I couldn't afford it, he somehow STILL talked me into it! I am now thinking of selling some of my furniture just so I can put the money back in my account. What have I done? They are VERY Tricky!
i was recently told by a freind about these products (orogold) and i want to try them out, however i can not seem to locate any shop that keeps them in stock. I found their website and tried calling all the numbers and the numbers do not exist. I managed to get through to the number +[protected] but as soon as i requested for a physical address she quickly said she has to go and will get back to me, she hung up without taking any of my details *red flag* so now im scared of placing an order via the website since there is no way to track where these people are based and their products cost quite a lot to just want to do a transaction without knowing whom to call should you experience any problems with delivery or anything else.
Hello, those guys are present again in Sandton City Mall. Quite Pushy and again making up bargains...(written May 20th 2012)... was also pulled into their chairs, but was lucky enough to escape from them... :-)

Has reviews on their different products that I found helpful
All the Oro Gold reviews are fake sorry. The reviews are put up by Oro Gold employees.
return issues
After a high pressured sales pitch from the manager, who stated his family owned the company (which I highly doubt), I purchased some Oro Gold products to try. I was not told at any time that I would not be able to return the products if I was not satisfied. As I was driving home, I noticed that the arm Shai, the sales person, had used in his demonstration was beginning to itch, and that my left eye, where he had placed the eye creams, was beginning to swell. When I got home, I checked the ingredients, and realized that the products contained wheat proteins. I have a SEVERE wheat allergy. Granted, I should have checked the products more closely before buying, but having had this issue in the past, I took 500 mg of Benadryl to get rid of the hives on my arm and stop my eye from swelling and decided to return the products the next day. (Driving after taking that much Benadryl was out of the question.) When I tried to return the products, I was informed that they do not do returns and Shai stated that there was no way I had had a reaction to the products. As anyone with severe allergies knows, putting products on your body that you are allergic to is out of the question. I am now stuck with over $300 in products that I will never use. Be very wary of this company, their sales people, and their lies.
I high pressure salesman talked me into purchasing $300. From a kiosk in the Bay Brook Mall. Then he said something about a demonstration and had me follow him to the Mall Store where he turned me over to a high pressure woman who sat me down and instead of samples of how to use the things I had already bought, it was turned into a high pressure sales pitch where they talked me into buying an additional $4, 300.00 more. I am bi-polar and on manic days highly gullible to new ideas, etc. I tool the 4 big bags of products home but didn't feel right so I decided to sleep on it a day or two. When I felt normal again I began trying to negotiate a return of the products and was told about the no return policy. After stalling, false promises that the owner would call me, etc, I came to the conclusion that I needed to look on this site for possible help. I'm going to try contacting the mall manager today. If that doesn't work I guess I will hire a lawyer to get my $4, 630.00 back. The sales lady has tried every pressure tactic to get me to keep the products.
I had a very similar experience at an OroGold store in SLC, Utah. After a long high pressure sales pitch, and me trying to leave many times, I finally agreed to purchase products just so I could get out of the store - fully intending to return them. After the salesman ran my card, and as he was stapling the receipts for me, he showed me that they have a no return policy, and you can only exchange products for up to 30 days. I was furious! I could not imagine a reputable company that would not provide a money back guarantee. I tried returning everything, but they would not accept it and said I'd need to call the customer service number M-F (this was a Saturday). Monday I called, and the "customer service" gal said they could not return the products. I call the mall manager and complained and she told me that OroGold was under contract with the mall to return any unopened products within 7 days of purchase. So they outright lied, and were pushy, and rude. The mall manager called the store to tell them I'd be returning, and when I did take everything back, they were much more cooperative. I will never do any business with them again.
I had a very similar experience. The sales associates cashed me out conveniently behind the register where I couldn't see the no return policy sign. It was a high pressured sale. Now they're refusing to return my products. I've filed a complaint with the nj department of consumer affairs.
unethical practices
Dana, a vendor of Mazal Enterprise's Oro Gold cart in Ontario Mills Mall @ 1 Mills Circle #25, Ontario, CA 91764 - promised a "money back guarantee" several times during her ten minute product demonstration. Any sign stating their return policy was intentionally obscured and Dana stamped the receipt "NO REFUNDS" only AFTER running my credit card. I immediately protested to her trickery but she refused to honor her promise.
I contacted Ontario Mills management, Barbara Meaders attempted to secure a refund for me. Oro Gold was obstinate and further insulted me by offering a $100 refund for the $391.50 worth of products that I purchased.
I have been purchasing and receiving product with this company for 5 years. I do like their product and they are very forceful with their techniques so you have to learn how to work with them. I am writing this as I was so lied to when I started with their program as they are no longer are honoring what I was told at the very beginning. I am supposed to be getting refills for life of the everyday product but was told by the store owner at (he said he was the owner) Stonebriar Mall in Frisco, Texas, when I went for more refills, that I am only supposed to get refills for 5 years. He would give me nothing more. He wanted me to show him a contract, which I never received. I told him the name of the "owner" at the time that told me this and he just stated - well, he is no longer with the company.
I have made new purchases all along during these 5 years and as long as you are spending more money, all is great. When I push back, or try to get what was promised to me, it's another story. They change "owners"/"managers" at least once a year so I guess that is their way of getting away with all of this.
I have tried reaching out to the company via email and telephone - no one responds with emails and when you call, you can't leave a message, it always says no one is available and you will be disconnected.
What a way to do business! I would suggest to anyone that gets pulled into their store (someone is always in the doorway to stop you and start the sales pitch) don't go in, don't listen and don't buy. They will go down one day as they can only get away with this so long. I am warning everyone on every page I
assume is a way to cover up the Orogold name. Companies that are unavailable to reach are certainly not worth doing business with.
Although oro gold representatives are very nice I found them very pushy in sales. They prèy on people's misfortunes and refuse to allow u to return any products refusing to supply you with a receipt for your purchases and now are involved in a lengthy law suit against their business policies and practises.
I am glad to join you. The owner of the store in Nashville, TN, is Assaf Amar. I have his home address, as well as information on other places he has lived and people he has known. I have a list of addresses at which he has lived, as well as people he has known/crossed paths with. Please let me know how I can get this information to you. Check out this Facebook group: Tresor Rare scam victims unite. We may be able to communicate more easily through this site.
If you would like to join me in a deceptive trade practices claim.. please email me at 5454kirsten@gmail.com. I am gathering as many names as possible to file an attorney general complaint both in states and federally. I'm also filing a deceptive practices claim against the Houston Galleria - where this group under many names d'or24k, juvinesse, le pelle etc. has many stores and runs this scam through all of them. I think with knowledge of the simon mall management.
I have found over 150 complaints. And, if you have done research on owner information. Please share I have about 15 names .. but they all seem to be fake names. Trying now to get sales tax info for "true" legal names on each store. I'm retired so I'm working on this full time for now.

Your emsil is protected, I couldnt email you. See your post.
After pushing for almost ten months, I am happy to report that I received a full refund + the court costs I had paid to initiate a case in small claims court from Gold Elements in Nashville, TN. To all who have been duped and defrauded by these shady stores, don't give up! You can get your money back. Suing in small claims court is not terribly expensive, and you do not have to have an attorney to represent you. I filed as a plaintiff pro se, and I settled with the company two months before my court date, which was August 8, 2019. (I was able to select the court date, by the way.)
Congrats! You conquered them! My case is not the same but I hope to have same resolution. Tha ks for sharing your journey, I have filed to make everything more public. Thanks
Can u help me I also stacked at orogold scam they did not return the products and said that ur account is under legal action and u have to face problems in future
I just posted one screenshot from Bizapedia. There are many more that reveal the depth of Assaf Amar's involvement in Dead Sea cosmetic scams.
I just confirmed through online research that A. of Oro Gold notoriety and Assaf Amar/Amar Assaf of Gold Elements notoriety have crossed paths more than once. Both claimed residence at [protected]. They are about the same age, as well. Amar Assaf, the owner of the business that defrauded me of more than $3600, owns nine stores/kiosks in Opry Mills Shopping Center. Moreover, he is associated with Dead Sea products stores in Florida, Texas, Massachusetts, and Virginia. I have contact information on both of these men. Since they seem to have scammed many people, we may have enough now to start a class action suit.
About ten days ago I heard from the Tennessee Department of Consumer Protection--a division of the Department of Commerce and Insurance--that this agency will mediate my claim against Aurarius/Gold Elements. I will be assigned a representative to work with me. I sent this agency a 38-page PDF that includes emails, phone records, receipts, and complaints lodged with the Simon Property Management Group (Opry Mills in Nashville is a Simon property), as well as a summary of my "fraudulent misrepresentation" claim. I'll update once I hear from my representative. I did send the unopened shipment to the lawyer representing the "president" of Gold Elements in Nashville, but he returned it to me--I received the returned shipment on Friday, December 7. I plan to contact the State of Tennessee to see whether I can mail it to any state agency for safekeeping. Since I never was told what was being shipped to me, I don't want to open this box and inadvertently "accept" the shipment.
Lensor good luck and really hope you can as we all need to file with your state consumer protection and AG. Class action works too. Everyone needs to do something about their rights and stop these unethical liars. People who have been scammed, join forces, padd the word and tell everyone to stay away from this company and their extended other company names they now use. No more getting scammed. No more orogold lies and misleading and soon hopefully we pervile with our legal teams and governmental investigations and expose them all.
Hi i also have been scammed by them im in for the class action suit add my name Monica Welch

Dear Unhappy Oroscam customer,
We feel your pain, rightfully so. You have been scammed . Frankly your story is very typical. Many people out here now who have been a victim of this company had enough. Many have been a victim and out thousands of dollars. The stories are the same cross the US and we here other countries toom some states have gotten so many complaints about these thieves that are interested to do something about it. Some countries ban them I hear. People are getting united to get these scam artists legally out of our malls. For now the best way is to spread the word, use all social media and network, file a complaint with BBB, FTC, and file with your state consumer protection agency plus state attorney general. Expose them and the more people unit to do that the safer the consumers are and will be.
