Outback Steakhouse service

I heard a manager speaking to a host at the Bryant road outback in Lexington KY. I would like to report this as harassment. The manager mocked the host when she asked him for a paystub and I heard several other management level employees treating her in ways that I would consider unfair. Until I hear that there is some action taken I will not continue to be a customer any restaurants that are affiliated with Outback Steakhouse. I will be going to the better business bureau if I don't feel like action has been taken.

Outback Steakhouse pork porterhouse and 6 oz sirloin

We ate dinner on 11/29/17 at the restaurant on S. Abilene in Aurora, CO. I've thought about whether to send feedback or not, and decided, having been in restaurant management for years, I would want to know of someone's really bad experience.

My friend ordered the 6 oz. sirloin, well done, with fries. His steak was probably a 4 oz. steak (I've produced steaks and know weights by sight) and it was so incredibly over cooked. It was as solid as a brick, and not even a drop of resting juice on his plate. Yes, he requested well done, but that was ridiculous. He complained about his steak at the time and they took $7.99 off our check, leaving the price of his drink. That was nice. They also offered to cook another steak but given the amount of time it had taken to get our food, he opted not to wait any longer. We arrived around 7:30pm approximately, and it wasn't very busy, otherwise a longer wait would be understandable.

I ordered the pork porterhouse, medium well, since it was pork. But, I eat steak medium rare. I got the baked potato with it and a side salad. The side salad was the only thing that was edible. The pork was, again, so over cooked, there was no resting juice on the plate. It didn't have much seasoning either, at least not what I have had in the past at an Outback. The baked potato was well cooked, but had very little butter and sour cream on it. Once I had eaten the part of the potato that I could get the butter and sour cream to carry to, it was just dry potato. I chose not to say anything about my dinner at the time. My friend was already very upset over his and I didn't want to add to his ire.

We also ordered a quesadilla appetizer. Neither of us cared for it. I can't say it wasn't cooked right, but the taste was not pleasant. Maybe it was missing something. The flavors just didn't meld.

As I said, I have thought about sending feedback or not, but I valued the poor feedback over compliments because I could effect change with my staff. There are any number of things that could have been in play that night... new staff, short staffed, or just an off shift. I always told my crew that our guests should never feel any circumstances we were dealing with. And, poor food was just not acceptable at all.

In all honesty, and in my opinion, there isn't just one person that is responsible for our experience. The whole team is. There are at least three people that our food got past... the cook(s), the expediter and our server. Any one of them should have caught it.

I hope this is received in the manner it is being submitted...to bring the issue to management's attention so corrections can be made.

Thank you your time.

Outback Steakhouse seating/service

I went online to make a reservation for 7 pm. I arrived around 6:45 and was told about 25 minutes to wait. I waited over an hour to be seated and was not apologized to or offered compensation at all. I will not be returning for this kind of service! I worked in the food industry for 5 years and have never witnessed this kind of poor service or disregard for the customers inconvenience

Outback Steakhouse curbside carryout

I called in looking for the new location and the person on the phone could not give me directions. When I thought I understood where the new location was, I was mistaken so I called back in. The person answering this time laugh at me and was very rude. They also didn't name the shopping center where it was located, but would only name other general businesses (Target & Mission BBQ, there are multiple locations for each in the area).
Once I located the building I parked in the assigned Curbside Takeaway area and watch as the attendants had a lengthy conversation standing next to my order. I eventually received my order and took it home to eat.

I regularly get the same meal; medium rare 9 or 12oz Outback Special with a salad and mashed potatoes. They steak was over cooked to medium well and there was not any cheese on the salad.

Overall an extremely unsatisfactory experience from a chain that I continue to visit for their consistency.

Outback Steakhouse proprietor jeff arnold and hostess angelina

I used my OBS app to reserve a seat at 530pm for myself and my toddler for dinner. We arrived at 520pm to check in and was told it was a 10 minute wait so we sat. I noticed around 529p the rude young lady was seating other parties before us. I simply asked why that was happening and Angelina told me, " Your reservation is for 530p so your ten minute wait starts after your check in time." She looks at me rolls her eyes and seats another party. I ask her and a guy assisting her for a manager which they ignored me so I had to her up, walk to a back register and request a manager. At this time, Jeff Arnold comes out and I explained the situation and how rude she was to me, I then said she's lucky I'm with my child... he goes off saying we won't accept threats. I asked for both of their names and walked out the store. I was humiliated, disrespected and will never ever patronize another Outback. I am also filing a complaint for poor treatment of minorities. This place is despicable and he received poor ratings for service on many occasions. Outback should make better choices in proprietors to not tarnish the brand.

Outback Steakhouse vulgar language/ bad food

Family and I went as usual for dinner. Sat next to Kitchen and take out stand. Loud very abusive language constantly. MF this and that and so forth. Had to remake salad 3 times and still wasnt correct. Out of prime rib. Got unsweet tea instead of sweet. Unbelievable. Logans Roadhouse has began to take many customers due to the service at this rest.

Outback Steakhouse foreign object in my to go order

Ordered 2 steak dinners on 11/04/17. Paid for the order using a gift card that was received as a birthday gift. We picked up the "To Go" order and drove straight home. We took all the food out of the Outback brown paper bag and sat down to eat what we thought was going to be a great dinner on a cold night!

Upon My husband's first bite of his meal, he found a "staple" in his food. He spit it out and we immediately called and asked to speak with the Outback Manager at the Queen Street location in Southington, Ct. We explained the situation to the Manager named "Lou". He said instead of driving all the way back to the restaurant he would send us an Outback Gift Card so we could come in and eat dinner another time. Well, that didn't help us since we threw away my husbands dinner and ended up sharing mine. To date, we have not received a gift card or received any compensation for the meal we threw in the garbage. I feel as though the Manager blew smoke up my [censor] and clearly was not concerned that a metal object was found in my order. It doesn't take over a week to send some type of compensation. Please advise when I can expect to be reimbursed and provided a gift card as we were promised by Lou.

Outback Steakhouse food and service

On November 2nd I went to Outback for my birthday got there about 6 pm we were waited on with a wattress and a new trainie. They took our beverage order and returned with bread and our drinks...we both ordered the filet and unlimited shrimp I ordered my medium and his medium rare his was cooked good and my was almost raw so I sent it back. It took over 30 plus minutes before it came back overcooked and they return it with another sweet potato that was burnt not happy. He was almost done with his entire meal before I got my steak back. We ordered saute mushrooms and they brought us about half of the order because they ran out and said they will be us more after they cooked more...they never returned with anymore. Didn't make a very happy birthday...by the time we got out of there it was after 7:30 bad service. Restaurant wasn't even that crowded...just seemed like they forgot about us. I have never had issue with outback before. I told him they didn't even deserve a tip...he tipped anyway...I wouldn't have given them a $1. Our bill was about $68.00 plus he tipped $12.00. Not worth it. I figured I should receive some type of compensation for this bad experience. I know I will not return there is nothing get solved. Thank you...Kathy Deegan

Outback Steakhouse I am complaining about service.

Last Friday we visited your Jenkintown Restaurant. We were seated rather quickly but the server had to be new. He sat us with small plates but no silverware. We asked him twice and ended up asking another server when the salads came and we still have no silverware. We asked for lemon that took two trips. When ordering I pointed to the limitless steak and shrimp deal, he had only put us down for steak. He never asked how we wanted our margaritas...salt on the rim or not... They bought my plate out but not the rest of my party. I finally had to ask the manager what was going on. Ten minutes had gone by. They bought me a fresh plate but at that point the experience had been ruined. I haven't been to Outback in a long while and I will not be going back.

Outback Steakhouse outback steakhouse serramonte restaurant hostess

On sunday october 22, 2017 on or about 4:15 p.m. myself, my brother and my 84 years old mother went to the outback steakhouse at 371 gellert blvd. daly city, ca 94015 for dinner. upon our arrival there were 2 hispanic hostess to greet us. they did not greet us with a welcoming greet. the hostess waited for the other hostess to prepared the cutlery setting and proceeded to seat us in the bar area. we were not asked if we wanted to sit in the dinning area or the bar. my brother told her "don't you see us with my mother here who is 84 years old and you want to seat her at the bar." i told her that we wanted to seat in the dinning area that we were there for dinner. she frowned and proceeded to walk to the dinning area. as we walked behind her i noticed to the right side of the restaurant dinning area was full. another waitress walked pass her and made a statement. in the isle we were walking through there was a hispanic family of about 7 people sitting and enjoying their meal.
the hostess passed all the tables behind them and proceeded to the rear of the restaurant, sat the menus on the table next to the rear door. I noticed there were 2 elderly african american ladies dinning across from the area that was chosen for us to seat finishing their meal. I asked the hostess why she chose to sit us there. the waitress reply was "you heard what she said" i told her I did not, and her reply was "she said that side is full." I explained that I understood that the other side is full, but she passed up about 5 tables to sit us in the back. At that time the elderly ladies responded by saying "we thought the same thing, except we didn't say anything" my brother asked her why she chose to seat us in the rear and she proceeded to go back to the front hostess area. At this point we left the restaurant disgusted with the bias showed by the waitress. While leaving my brother explained to the hostess that she should read the book "Rosa Parks."
We request that the issue be addressed with that staff and compensation for their negligence treatment of us.

Outback Steakhouse server/service

My wife and I were intrigued when we saw the advertisement for steak and unlimited shrimp. When we told our server we wanted this but couldn't find it on the menu, she seemed frustrated that we wanted this promotion. After bouncing around that if we wanted it she would do it, she proceeded to ignore our table to ensure that it was too long of a wait for us to continue to want shrimp. When we finally could catch her, she acted frustrated at any request. She only had one other table to attend as we were having an earlier dinner to beat the crowd. I'm usually not one to complain, but we were really excited to have unlimited shrimp and a nice date night, but were met with a way different experience.

Outback Steakhouse service

My family and I dined in your restaurant on 10/14/17 for my fathers birthday. We had a party of 6. The restaurant was not very busy and we waited about 30 minutes to receive our drinks. We waited an hour to receive our salads. We had 2 small children and this wait time to receive our drinks and salads is unacceptable . Our waitress was one of the worst waitresses that I have ever had. We asked for extra napkins, refills and bread and she seemed to have forgotten about us. One fl the Asst managers came by and asked us if we needed anything. I began to lodge my compliant about the horrible service and lack of attention our waitress gave us. He said he was going to check on things and get back with us. Well, we never saw him again. That is such poor management and customer service. We all orders the steak for dinner. All of our steaks was so spicy from all the pepper seasoning we had to dip it in water to rinse off the spices. It seems someone got carried away with the pepper. Based on my dining experience I will probably not return to your restaurant . My fathers steak was not cooked medium well like he asked for. It was cooked medium. As far as I'm concerned this experience ruined my fathers birthday and our dining experience.

Me and my wife and 4 children love outback but our experience at winchester va was terrible... Our steaks where burned so we returned them just to get the same thing again. The shrimp where so overcooked you couldn't peel them.. A foot long piece of hair in my wife's salad.. The manager was not helpful and rude telling us that he's to busy to deal with our minor complaints. Outback is our favorite restaurant but this was unacceptable

Outback Steakhouse food, service and facilities

We dined at your property under construction in Voorhees, NJ on Friday Oct 13, 2017. We had one of the worst experiences we can remember. My wife and I arrived around 7pm and were seated within 10-15 Minutes. It took our server 15 Minutes to arrive to take our drink order. A table of 5 sat down across from us at least 10 or 15 Minutes after we did and they received their appetizers before our appetizer order was even taken. We ordered the bloomin pedals, it finally came to the table cold and didn’t appear to be cooked the same was they usually are. We told the server when we put in our dinner order. But she didn’t react at the time. My wife ordered a cheese burger and I ordered the chicken and endless shrimp dinner. Before the server arrived with my wife’s hamburger she asked for ketchup. The ketchup didn’t arrive but the burger did eventually (Unfortunately it was cold and the cheese had solidified. When the server finally returned again we asked for a burger that was hot. She took it back and brought our in about 5 or so Minutes, wife wife asked if it was microwaved and the server said NO, it was put on the grill. Well the roll was hot and hard as a rock and the cheese disappeared (totally melted away) and the pickles on the bottom were piping hot, so they couldn’t have put it in the grill with the pickles on the bottom of the roll. When she left the Burger my wife asked again for ketchup, before she knew there was a problem with the Burger. When she finally brought out a small soufflé cup of ketchup, my wife noticed there was something white mixed in. Since there was a problem with the Burger and there was no edible ketchup we asked for the manager.
The manager came out and and took the original Burger back and had a new Burger prepared. In addition he had a new bloomin pedal order made.
This entire ordeal lasted over 2 hours.
When we finally got our corrected meal, the table across from us had already finished their dinner and desert and departed the resturant.
In addition, the bathroom facilities were disgusting, there was no hot or warm water in mens or womens bathrooms and in the men’s room the toilet seats were not attached.

When we finished, we were never asked if we wanted desert. Just a check was left in our table.

I owned my our business for 20 years, I would certainly want to hear this type of feedback to insure whatever process is broken gets repaired and the customer is taken care of so they will come back.
Please feel free to contact me for either details/clarification.

Respectfully,

Jeff Missan

Outback Steakhouse takeout food order (incorrect)

10-13-2017
After a long day of customer visits and driving 500 miles from Franklin TN to Valdosta GA I was only hoping for a correct order to eat in my hotel room. I requested NO blue cheese dressing or blue cheese crumbles on salad. When I arrived back to room well it had blue cheese which I'm allergic too so I drove back to the bar and advised the bartender who took order. She apologized and said she get a new salad. After waiting a while longer she apologized and said they messed up the salad again, so a while longer she brought me a salad without blue cheese. I'm disappointed because she or a manager never ask if they could do anything to make this up - it would have been nice if they would have refunded the cost of the salad. I hope Outback management reads this and decides to make their mistake whole.
