Mixed Feelings About Overstock.com
As I delve into the reviews of Overstock.com, it's evident that customers have varied experiences. While some praise the free shipping and great deals, others express frustration with issues like late fees, canceled orders, and poor customer service. It seems like a hit-or-miss situation. If you're considering shopping on Overstock.com, it might be wise to proceed with caution and manage your expectations accordingly.
Great Service Love the Product
I was looking for curtains for my living room and seen the ATI Catarina Layered Curtains on pintrest advertise by Overstock. I fell in love with the design and decided to place the order although the length I original wanted was unavailable I order the next size up. Within minutes after I place my order I received a text from Overstock thanking me for my order with a update of schedule delivery. I responded to the text asking if I could receive the curtain before 25th they assured me the curtains would arrive by 24th. Well, as promise I received my curtains and they are as beautiful as on the website! I am very pleased with the customer service and the product. I am very big on customer service and the quality of product all which Overstock has surpass my expectations. Overstock has gain a faithful customer. Thank you Overstock!
Really nice stuff great prices
Things are usually a really good deal and are very nice quality. They are always as pictured and just as described. So far shipping has always been free for me. I have ordered really large items that needed to be returned that I thought would be a problem, but wasn't that big of a deal. For example, I ordered an 8 X 10 rug for my family room. It was so beautiful and just like the picture, but just didn't work in my room. I went on-line, and they helped me with the return even printed the shipping label. It was surprisingly cheap. Only $18 to ship it back. I thought it would be much more since the thing was so big and bulky. They told me where to drop it off. I think there may have been an little more expensive option to have it picked up at my house. I have ordered quite a few large home items from them and have been really happy with them.

Overstock went the "Extra Mile" for me!
I ordered a large piece of furniture with a delivery day that I knew I would be home. I received notice a couple of days later that it was shipped and would arrive on another day, That day I knew I would be out of the area from my home. Because I had moved to my new home from another state just the week before, I did not know a neighbor that I could ask to help with receiving the delivery. I sent a text to the provided Overstock number explaining my concern. Immediately they responded and said they would take care of the situation, and that THEY DID! The bedroom chest arrived on the original date stated. The Overstock Customer Service was wonderful. And, to connect immediately with a warm body rather than going through a maze of questions and never getting to anyone that can actually do anything is a pleasant change from today's very frustrating norm. Thank you Overstock for taking care of me! We
My biggest purchases will only go to them!
I bought a twin car race bed for my toddler boy whom is obsessed with everything cars right now and this bed is valued about $1500. The manufacturer of the bed had a defect on the lighting system and there was also a part that was not fitting properly. We love the bed overall and would do whatever it takes to fix the issue but it seems the manufacturer was not cooperating and Overstock is just so punctual in following through with all of their timelines that they had no time to waste with the manufacturer and worked with me directly to get the fastest most desired resolution to the problem. I appreciate this online company so much and because of this I always try to make my biggest purchases here as I trust them in handling the products, it's always packed with TLC and arrives as promised. They offer great value and quite frankly unbeatable service! I always get live personnel on the phone so amazon who?
International order without problems
I am located in Switzerland and ordered 4 canopy beds for my house in Thailand. Such nice beds with boxspring mattress and foundation are not available in Asia. Because of my concern about the high value and shipping, I contacted the international support. The kind lady on the phone explained all steps of the order and shipment procedure, and finally I placed an online order and paid with PayPal. I could track the inside USA collection and the shipment process with FedEx. After some days, the 400 kilogram delivery was in Bangkok at the customs. Here started a nightmare of import procedure, but with the assistance of FedEx, everything was solved and we received the beds in perfect packing and condition. Thanks to the good instruction manuals, assembly was easy went smooth. I thank Overstock and FedEx for the excellent service and always helpful support. Whenever we need special furniture, we will look at Overstock first and order from them.
This site has been nothing but AWESOME when I have
This site has been nothing but AWESOME when I have purchased from them. The shipping is $2.95 for whatever you order and they have tracking for your purchase. I believe I have ordered from them at least 10 times in the past year and have always received my items well packaged and in a timely manner. The items I've purchased have generally been small ticket items (shoes, boots, handbags, books) so I can't speak for their bigger ticketed items. I did have to contact customer service one time to see if an item had been shipped but I think I jumped the gun do to my son's constant nagging for this item LOL. I am also impressed by the company's ethics. They recently gave many of theur customers free membership into their o-rewards program because they refused to give in to state government demanding that taxes be charged in certain states. Instead of kowtowing to this they pulled their merchandisers from these states and gave what money they saved to their customers.(a free o-rewards membership and a $10 credit). You don't see this happening too often from any company. I have nothing but good things to report on my buying experience with overstock.com.
Turn to Overstock.com to get great prices and sales on a multitude of items
I was working with my Interior Designer to replace a dining room table that needed replacing quickly. We looked around at every possible store, manufacturer, and all on-line websites to no avail.
The table we were looking for was way overpriced, and untouchable for my budget.
I decided to look online to see if I could find something that was closer to my liking, without breaking the bank.
We went from website to website, browsing and comparing styles, finishes, and pricing to see if there was a match that compared to any high end furniture store, that we liked.
I remembered that Overstock.com had a vast inventory of many different products, from clothing to appliances, to just about anything one was looking for. So I clicked onto dining room tables, and my designer's eyes lit up, when I started scrolling down, viewing the large inventory some of the same furniture we looking at in the high end stores, at reduced prices at Overstock.
Luckily, we saw the exact table we wanted from the manufacturer we knew, on sale.
In addition, there was an added discount available in the time frame that I was ready to purchase the furniture.
Since it was a high end item, we asked for and received free shipping. Delivery was from door to door. As a matter of fact, the delivery company brought it directly into my dining room, as I live in a high rise condo, and could never have done it without having additional help.
The table was perfect in every way, and in the furniture store it was listed at ONE THOUSAND DOLLARS higher than what I paid.
Needless to say, my interior designer and I were overjoyed. No one could have gotten a better price anywhere. Even a professional shopper, as my decorator was.
Overstock one of the best in tougher times plus join the club! :)
We have all had some bad experiences lately with the shopping frenzy with covid! Right? Overstock has put it out there and does keep providing the best of service and shipping it can. I have purchased several items during this time because we also moved a business and to a new house.
So let me clarify how much this can mean when things also get shipped to the wrong address and Overstock sent us a new item because of that! That means a lot because even the could have said tough nuggies! :D So I don't think that was just a fluke. Also, we had some damaged items that were extremely large boxes aka. Chairs. The first representative was difficult in I tried to ask him how to fit these chairs in their boxes again to return them and then also to just get these in a car to return them? After some discussion, another representative through email did allow us to throw them away and replaced them- which was not fun either but part of life when ordering online. Since then we have had no problems and I have had purchased previously several rugs and items that had no issues.
Overstock seems to have much variety of items at usually the lowest prices as I am the "research queen" for the best deals! ;) With just the same investment for their CLUB you can also receive rewards for reviews (LOL which you all know I like) and also to give an honest one. Now, these rewards are nothing to think twice about because you get at times up to $12 -$8 apiece depending on the item price. So let's go! Right?! Also, Overstock is not shy about giving discounted promo codes so if you hunt or allow them to spam you - Yeah I said it but we all get it! ;) Spam is a part of our life ya'll! Let's face it! We can get money off so think of it as a job! Maybe you can see where the money is?
Overstock has now been in my life for many years but more recently the Club has made it better. I am a believer and it works for them because I go there first to see their stock and move from there. I know it's been hard for all of us during this time but I believe Overstock is trying to when some retailers are not as customer service focus. Thanks for reading! Happy shopping!
I am a comparative shopper and I often check several
I am a comparative shopper and I often check several sites simultaneously for the best deal before purchasing online. Overstock wins so often on price for the exact items I want that I joined their affinity program to get their rewards.
I find that their search function and item descriptions work better than some of their primary competitors. Overstock seems to the fact that it is important to have precisely consistent item descriptions, so that users can search successfully.
In the event that something isn't as wonderful as what it was supposed to be (it is so hard to know when buying online), customer service makes it right. You may have to voice your displeasure in order to get them to make it work out okay for you; but in my experience they will make it right.
I called to cancel an order once, when I had forgotten to link from an email so that a % discount coupon would apply, and the customer service rep offered to go into the order and apply the coupon. That's perfect customer service in my book.
Some parsons chairs that I ordered arrived with upholstery that was so papery and flimsy that it would not have lasted a year. I felt that they should cover the shipping back, as I was only returning them due to the unexpectedly low quality of the fabric. After some discussion of the problem, the rep saw it my way and Overstock covered the return shipping.
A Fossil watch that I bought WITH the Jewelry Protection option, lost its second hand within the first three weeks, and needed a quick repair to put it back in place. The first rep that I spoke to in the Jewelry Protection area said that it was still within the time period that required me to go through the manufacturer to get it fixed. I spoke to her supervisor and quoted from the jewelry protection information where it said they would cover it immediately starting at the time of purchase. He agreed with me, and said that they would take care of getting it replaced or repaired. The watch was no longer available, so they couldn't replace it and had to repair it. They supplied a shipping label, repaired the watch, and shipped it back. It has worked perfectly ever since.
I bought a rug, which was drop-shipped from the manufacturer, and it arrived with some glue spots on the front from the manufacturing plant in China. I called Overstock; they provided the return shipping label, and they had a second rug shipped out to me immediately, before I shipped the first one back. The second one is perfect. When they received the first one, they communicated very well via email, advising that they had received the first one back and had already shipped the second one.
Between their people and their systems, I give Overstock a full five stars.
Overstock.com's Return Policy and Customer Service: A Disappointing Experience with VIDAXL Seller
I recently purchased a sofa from Overstock.com, which was sold by a third-party seller called VIDAXL. Unfortunately, the sofa arrived broken with a cracked frame, making it impossible to attach one of the legs. I reached out to Overstock's customer service, but after three weeks, I still haven't received a resolution.
One of the biggest issues I had with Overstock was their online messaging system. It was difficult to contact the seller directly, and I had to resort to email. This was a stark contrast to Amazon, which logs every message and makes it easy to communicate with sellers.
When I contacted Overstock's customer service, they simply told me to contact the seller. I reached out to VIDAXL, and they initially said they would replace the sofa. However, after waiting a week for a return shipping label, I was told that I had to rebox and return the sofa to their courier for the return shipping. While they would pay for the shipping, it was my responsibility to return the item to the courier. This was a major problem for me, as I couldn't carry the sofa on my own and didn't have a car big enough to transport it. I was frustrated that this wasn't mentioned in their return policy on the Overstock website.
I brought this issue up with Overstock, and they said they would escalate it. However, the response I received was disappointing. They simply told me that the seller had offered to issue return labels, and that I would need to box up the item and drop it off myself. They also mentioned that their sellers don't have the option to have the carrier pick up the item. This was a major red flag for me, as it showed that Overstock cares more about their sellers than their customers.
Overall, I was extremely disappointed with Overstock's return policy and customer service. They are nothing like Amazon, and I would recommend sticking with Amazon in the future. Additionally, I found out that VIDAXL sells on Amazon, so I would advise buyers to be cautious when purchasing from them.
In conclusion, Overstock's return policy is overly complicated and requires ridiculous requirements. If you run into issues with a seller, you may have to make a claim against your credit card company. Additionally, I would advise staying away from VIDAXL, as their furniture is poorly made and cheaply manufactured.
Overstock.com Review: Terrible Customer Service and Coupon Issues
Yo, listen up! I gotta tell you about my experience with Overstock.com. So, I got this email from them with a coupon for 12% off. I was like, "heck yeah, I'm gonna use this!" But when I tried to check out, the coupon disappeared. Like, what the heck?! So, I called up their customer service and talked to this dude named Jacob. He was no help at all! He told me to delete my cookies and use a different browser, even though I already told him I was using Google Chrome. Then he tried to tell me that the coupon might not work on my phone, even though I never said anything about using my phone. Like, come on man, listen to what I'm saying!
Anyway, after arguing with Jacob for way too long, he finally talked to his supervisor and they gave me a measly $3 in-store credit for the coupon. But get this, they tried to shortchange me! The website clearly showed that the coupon was worth $3.96, but they tried to say it was only $3.71. And then they tried to tell me that the discount wasn't applied to the total price of the item. Like, what kind of nonsense is that?!
In the end, they gave me an extra $2 in-store credit for "all my frustration", but honestly, I don't think I'll ever shop at Overstock again. Their customer service is a joke and they don't even know how to do basic math. Save yourself the headache and shop somewhere else.
Overstock.com Review: Disappointed with Mattress Purchase, but Customer Service Resolved Issue
I recently made a purchase on Overstock.com on May 26th and received my order on June 4th. I ordered the Slumber Solutions Active 12 Charcoal Memory Foam Mattress. However, upon receiving the package, I was disappointed to find out that it was not what I had ordered. The mattress was not memory foam, as advertised, and was instead a flimsy and unsupportive piece of junk. I was so disappointed that I even dragged it through some human feces without realizing it.
I immediately contacted Overstock's customer service to complain about the issue. After waiting on hold for 10 minutes, I finally spoke to an agent named Mi***l who had broken English. I told him that I was not going to pay $500.00+tax for this mattress and that I fully intended to dispute it with my credit card. The agent then informed me that they would have to send a team out to inspect the mattress, which would take four days to arrange.
I was extremely frustrated with the situation, but I knew that I had to be patient and wait for the inspection team to arrive. In the meantime, I did some research on memory foam mattresses and learned that there are different levels of firmness and that not all memory foam mattresses are created equal. Some may have additives like gel, and there may be slight variations between different manufacturers.
Finally, after four days, the inspection team arrived and confirmed that the mattress was not memory foam as advertised. Overstock then offered me a remedy for the situation and fixed the problem. I was pleased with their response and appreciated their efforts to make things right.
In conclusion, I would advise anyone who is considering purchasing a memory foam mattress to do their research and make sure they understand the differences in firmness. Memory foam should be supportive and firm without being too hard, and it should contour to your body without creating pressure points. If you are not satisfied with your purchase, be sure to contact customer service and give them a chance to remedy the situation before filing a complaint with the BBB or other consumer advocates.
Overstock.com's Lack of Professional Service: A Frustrating and Disappointing Experience
I recently had an experience with Overstock.com that left me feeling frustrated and disappointed. I placed an order for a Serta Luxe Edition Grandmere Plush Pillowtop 14-inch Hybrid Mattress on April 1, 2021, and the money was taken off my credit card on the same day. However, over 50 days later, I had not received the product and had not heard from anyone at Overstock.
On May 21st, I contacted Overstock to inquire about the status of my order. Elsie V. in customer care acknowledged my request, and the next day, rep. York replied, saying it would take him 3-4 days to figure it out. However, it took 5 days for John J. An Escalations Specialist to reply, stating that they had tried to reach me at an old number and needed a current number to contact me to set up delivery.
I provided my mobile number, which was already attached to my account, and questioned why they had not emailed me. Three days later, Michelle P. An Escalation Specialist II, replied that I had given them the old number when I ordered, which was disconnected a year prior, and could not be accurate. On June 4th, John J. An Escalations Specialist responded, saying that the carrier had my new number and would contact me within 2-3 business days. However, it is now June 14th, 10 days after promising me 2-3 days contact, and 75 days after placing the order, and I have still not heard anything.
I am extremely disappointed with Overstock.com and their specialists, who have shown a complete lack of professional service. They were quick to charge my credit card the full amount and notify me that the status was "shipped awaiting tracking update," which was obviously a lie. They used this to justify charging my card immediately, but then did nothing to follow up on the order.
I have shipped and received many items and have never had a shipper have to call me to set up a delivery. Most supply email updates, but Overstock's specialist claims that "Our partners & the carriers they use will not contact you by email under normal circumstances as they will always make attempts to reach you by phone." However, not doing anything for almost 2 months is not normal circumstances and falls under non-professional service.
When I gave them my other contact number, they responded saying that I would be contacted in 2-3 days, which was already 9 days after I had given them my number on May 27th. Under these circumstances, I would expect a professional organization to have contacted the supplier and requested that they contact me immediately. Instead, it appears they are doing their best to dodge any responsibility.
This is the worst customer service of any company I have ever experienced, and there is a complete lack of professionalism. It took four different representatives to accomplish very little, to nothing so far. Overstock's response was basically to detail the order process almost identically to my complaint. They finished by saying the order would be delivered and gave me the carrier's phone contact so I could call them. They wanted me to do their job, one they found almost impossible to do. They acted as though that was normal.
It took 80 days before they delivered the product, and Overstock never addressed the fact that they took my payment when I ordered. In all my correspondence, they never addressed the 80-day delay or the fact that their representatives did virtually nothing after I contacted them. Overall, I am extremely disappointed with Overstock.com and their lack of professional service.
Overstock.com: A Nightmare Experience with Customer Service and Shipping
So, I recently made a big purchase on Overstock.com. It was my first time buying something expensive from them, as I had only used them once before for a small gift. I ordered a full King bed set, which included a mattress, box spring, headboard/foot-board with railing, sheet set, and mattress cover. A few days after I placed my order, a customer service agent contacted me to verify my billing address, as we had moved last fall. I confirmed that the address on the order was correct. However, several days later, I received two communications that one of my orders had just been delivered to our old address! I was shocked and immediately called customer service to let them know that it was the wrong address and that there was a second item scheduled to be delivered later that day, so I wanted to avoid that as well. They seemed confused and tried to find fault in my ordering process instead of being interested in catching the shipments and re-routing them to the correct address. I started receiving email and text notifications telling me that my items were delivered to the wrong address! I reached out to them in every feasible manner to make sure they corrected this, but I was told different stories by three different agents. Finally, I was told that a person was going to take care of it and follow up with me personally, but I never heard back from her. I continued to check my shipment schedules, and no changes were made to my delivery address. I continued to call and try to follow up, and eventually, the items were re-routed to me and my shipping address. However, every time I called customer service or texted them, I seemed to get someone who tried to give me a 'pat' answer, and I had to ask them to please read the account notes before responding. Weeks went by, and I wasn't getting updates, so eventually, someone named "Stefanie" started responding via email to try to give me some kind of update. However, they could not provide information on the bed furniture as it was a large item (obviously being shipped from China or another country). I tried to contact the shipper, but for weeks, I got an information unavailable page. Finally, I read that it was supposed to arrive at the local port (about an hour from us), and then I'd heard from someone to get delivery scheduled, but I did not hear anything. I continued to contact the shipper, who eventually ended with Schneider Trucking, and as of a few days ago, I got my furniture. I ordered these items at the end of May, and it took a month to get all five items. I have no problem with the actual items, for the most part, but I will never, EVER use Overstock.com again under any circumstances. Their customer service was far lacking in their ability to appropriately handle this situation, and then the shipping companies that they used were inept as well.
I know a lot of people swear by and have had good experiences with Overstock.com, and to that, I can only say, you were/are lucky. I hope no one ever has to experience what I went through when placing an order. I learned several things during this experience and will probably think very hard before making a large purchase such as this online. I thought I would take advantage of some Memorial day sales, little did I know it was not worth the frustration.
Overstock Review: Cheaper Prices, Slow Shipping, and Messed Up Orders
Yo, listen up, I gotta tell you about my experience with Overstock. So, I was looking for a sweet exercise machine and found one on Overstock for a way cheaper price than Amazon. But, let me tell you, their shipping is slower than a snail on a hot day. I mean, it eventually got to me and was fine, but I would have paid extra on Amazon just for their shipping and return services.
Then, I decided to buy a bundle from Overstock because they had a better price than Amazon and Amazon didn't even have the bundle available. But, when I got the shipment, the box was all messed up and the items inside were not what I ordered. I was missing an item and got a substandard item instead. It was like the person packing the items was looking at the wrong picture of the bundle. And, let me tell you, the box was flimsy as heck and the tape was coming off like a three-year-old taped it.
So, I tried to contact the seller, Focus Camera, but they never answered the phone or my email. I ended up contacting Overstock's customer service via chat and they were helpful, but I don't think they really understood what I was saying. They thought I never received the entire order, but I did. They ended up shipping me a new set, but it was the same problem all over again.
I even started getting calls from UPS asking if I received my item and the driver showed up asking about the missing item. It was a mess. I don't know what's going on with Overstock, but they need to work out some issues. I don't think I'll be buying from them again.
Unleashing the Power of Creativity: A Review of 'The War of Art' by Steven Pressfield
I had such a dissatisfying experience with this company that if they were to offer me any item in their inventory for free, I would not accept. If you think that is an exaggeration - think again. Not going to happen. These folks do not communicate with each other in their own company. The left hand has no idea what the right hand is doing. I placed two items in the cart on their website and selected PayPal as my payment method. I was redirected to PayPal and I accepted the terms of PayPal. In all my decades of using PayPal, at that point I am redirected back to the merchants site to conclude my order. Not this time, at that point the order was submitted and I only knew because I received a prompt email from Overstock thanking me for that order. However, I never submitted the order. I was never re-directed back to the merchants site to select any type of delivery options (of which the rep informed me there were no options) or review my order or submit my order. I never clicked any Submit or Place Order button. Yet this company states the order was placed "on my behalf". By whom? PayPal certainly doesn't do that and if anyone is going to do anything on my behalf they had better have my authorization to do so first. The rep I spoke to could not grasp this concept. Their website is flawed. Not functional. Another rep responding to my BBB complaint stated that I agreed to their terms and conditions, return policies, cancellation policies, etc. when I submitted the order. How am I supposed to know I have 30 minutes to cancel an order when I never placed an order? Again, rep is not able to comprehend I never submitted or placed any order and the problem is with their website. This company attempted to withhold shipping fees ($400+) from my refund for an order that I cancelled (that I never submitted) before processing was completed and before the items were ever in transit. A shipment had been created at the delivery company (I spoke directly to the delivery company) - but the items were never in transit at time of cancellation. I ordered a loveseat and sofa. The rep told me (on the phone when we were trying to clear up this matter) the only delivery method available for that order was outside the house. Now, I am over sixty years old and I am not capable in any way shape or form of lugging those items into my house from my driveway even if I ate a hundred pounds of spinach. There is no way on God's green earth I would have selected a delivery to have a loveseat and sofa dropped in my driveway. That should have been her first clue something was amiss. Had I ever been redirected back to that page for delivery I would have removed the items from the cart at that point and moved on to another company that offered white glove delivery. But I was not and I did NOT submit the order. Upon hanging up she said four hundred plus dollars would be deducted from my refund. I was going to pursue that otherwise but I immediately received two emails and two text messages from this company issuing a full refund for the order. What? Then about a half hour later comes the answer from the BBB rep reply that I had agreed to all their policies upon placing my order and I would be charged shipping fees. Again, What? The rep further stated that if white glove delivery is offered it would have been on the page of that item. I did not go through every item on their website to notice any different options for all their different items nor am I required to. Who's on first at this company? Still not sure as to status of refund for this order I never placed. Too many conflicting stories. And the wheels on the bus go round and round.
Overstock.com's Terrible Customer Service and Wrong Product Delivery
I recently purchased an Ergotech Monitor Stand 100-D28-B13 from Overstock.com and let me tell you, it was the worst experience I've ever had. Not once, but twice, they sent me the wrong model. The boxes had multiple stickers on them clearly indicating that it was the wrong product, but they still sent it to me. I gave them the benefit of the doubt the first time, but when it happened again, I was beyond frustrated.
I called them immediately and asked them to double-check before sending anything out to me again. They promised to talk to the warehouse the next business day, but I didn't hear back from them until two days later. They even asked me to send pictures as "proof" that they sent the wrong product, as if the warehouse workers were blind and couldn't see the stickers on the boxes. It was ridiculous.
To make matters worse, I had to lift a 64-pound box from the leasing office to my apartment door because UPS only comes after the leasing office is closed. I left work early to wait for FedEx delivery because I didn't want to deal with it again. I called Overstock every day, sometimes twice a day, and was patient and courteous with the representatives, except for one who pushed me over the edge.
After waiting patiently for over a week, Overstock finally admitted that the website was wrong and they didn't even carry the product. They gave me a full refund, but nothing in return for the extreme inconvenience I went through. The manager said they couldn't offer me in-store credit because the case was closed and resolved. Resolved for whom? Certainly not for me.
The best they could offer me was a useless 12% discount on my next purchase, which I refused because they lost all of my trust. I'll never purchase from them again. They did agree to give me "inconvenience fees," but they took it out of my purchase amount, which was unfair since it was their mistake.
I have a hard time believing that it was just a "mistake" when everything on the website matched the product I ordered. It makes me think they're running a scam and hoping customers will either accidentally open the box (meaning partial refund) or just accept the wrong product. I've never had such a bad experience with any other company.
I won't stoop to Overstock's level and make false accusations, but I will warn everyone I know about what happened to me. I wouldn't wish this experience on anyone.
Overstock.com's Lack of APO/FPO Shipping Options Disappoints Military Customer
As a military member, I know that not everything can be shipped to APO addresses. It can be frustrating, but I understand that the USPS has limits. However, I recently had a terrible experience with Overstock.com. I was trying to order a memory foam mattress topper, which seems like a reasonable item to ship to an APO address, but none of the options had the magic APO/FPO*** indicator that the FAQ stated must be present. I was confused about what items were eligible for shipping to APO addresses and what the shipper's criteria were. I found the USPS website and learned about the limitations, but I still didn't understand Overstock.com's internal limitations. Why would they have limitations at all? It seemed like they were limiting their own sales to valued military customers.
I reached out to customer service via chat, hoping to get some answers. The representative, Stuart, was not helpful at all. He didn't seem to know anything about the APO shipping process and was unable to explain why certain items were eligible for shipping and others were not. I was shocked by his lack of knowledge and the overall lack of care from Overstock.com. It seemed like they didn't prioritize making as many items as possible available to military families overseas.
I was frustrated and disappointed with the experience and decided to post the conversation on every rating website I could find. It was unbelievable to me that Overstock.com didn't seem to care about military families and their needs. I will not be shopping with them again.
Overstock sells fake Nestl sheets at inflated prices: A cautionary tale
I recently bought a Nestl deep pocket sheet set from Overstock in 2021 and I must say, I was quite impressed with the quality of the sheets. They fit perfectly, were super soft, and never moved or slipped off. One feature that I absolutely loved about these sheets was the straps that helped hold the fitted sheet on. They were 2 different colors (black for one end of the bed and white for the other) so you could easily get the sheet on correctly on the first try. However, the color of the sheets was more orange than red, which was a bit disappointing. So, I decided to order a new set from the same link to ensure I got the same exact sheets, only in a different color.
The sheets were priced at $52.99, but I was able to use a coupon that brought them down to $39.74 before tax. When I received the sheets, I was a bit surprised to find that my favorite feature (the black and white straps) were no longer there. I compared the new set to the old set and found that while the old set had the Nestl logo on all the tags, the new set had no logo or brand name whatsoever. I tried to contact Overstock to inquire about this, but all they listed was a number to text. I waited for an hour and a half for a live representative to respond, but I fell asleep during that time and the request timed out. Finally, I was given an email address as well as a phone number to contact them.
I emailed Overstock on 4/24 and included photos that showed the differences between the two sets of sheets. I also emailed Nestl to ask if they had removed these features from their sheets. Nestl responded first on 5/3 and indicated that there had been no product changes from 2021 through today and to reach out to the seller directly. As of today, 5/5, I still had not gotten a response from Overstock, so I sent a follow-up email before remembering that a number had also been provided, so I reached out that way.
The Overstock representative indicated that they could tell it was the same product because they had gotten it from the same 3rd party manufacturer, Sanders Collection. However, when I looked up Sanders Collection, I found that they are a bedding company in NY and they have 5 brands listed on their website that they sell, none of which are Nestl. I also looked up Nestl while on the call and found that the contact number he gave me for Sanders Collection matches Nestl almost exactly, with the only difference being the 1st two digits in the center section of the number are transposed, while only the area code matches Sanders Collection. I was quite surprised to find out that the sheet set, when bought directly from Nestl, is only $29.50 with no discount applied.
The Overstock rep started to squirm a bit and first indicated that they probably charge shipping that would make it about the same. No, they do not charge anything for shipping. Then he indicated that the 3rd party manufacturer most likely marks up the product price a bit for profit (which is why it makes no sense that they would involve a 3rd party). When I pointed out that they are supposed to be a discount site that sells items for LESS and I purchased an item at a 44% markup instead, he offered me a refund. Since it's taken me so long to get a hold of anyone there, I've now had the sheets 2.5 weeks and they're on my bed. I don't even have the package anymore. So then he offered me a coupon on a future order. I told him not to bother because now that I know how much they actually markup the items they are selling at a supposed "discount", I will never shop there again.
I highly recommend trying to price check any item you may be looking at on Overstock directly on the manufacturer's website, as the price will probably be significantly less. Also, I'm fairly certain that I got a fake item at a 44% markup, so I imagine most of their other items are not the real deal as well. I've ordered the sheets again, this time from Nestl (where I wasn't even charged tax, so $29.50 is all I paid). I bet I find their logo on these sheets.
UPDATE:
I received my sheets ordered directly from Nestl for much cheaper than Overstock and guess what - the logo is on all the tags and the straps are black and white. Overstock is selling a fraudulent product at a vastly inflated price. I've filed a complaint with the BBB. I want my money back. I'll even return the sheets to them if they send me the package and label to do it. I wouldn't have tossed it had it not taken weeks to get in touch with someone. Photos of new Nestl sheets added to show what the genuine article still looks like (same as 2 years ago, but a different color only because I ordered a different color).
UPDATE 2:
Got an email response from Overstock Executive Offices on May 19th that they are refunding my full purchase with no need to return the sheets and they are reaching out to the merchant to clear this up and the listing will be removed in the interim. Out of curiosity, I just pulled up the link. The link is still open (listed as Nestl sheets), and their full price is $51.99, although they are on sale for Memorial Day for $34.49 before tax... Still over the $29.50 final price I paid for the genuine article with no discounts applied. They clearly have no plans to change their ways.

I ordered 6 chairs on 8/3/23. The first shipment (3 boxes) only seats without legs or hardwares. I called and complained. The replacement shipment shipped to me. Against, 3 boxes (6 seats without legs or hardwares). I called complained again. The the 3rd shipment was shhipped to me 1 box (8 legs without hardwares). Then Overstock sent over to pickup the 1st shipment on the week of Sept. 25. Then an email sent to me stated Overstock will charge me for the replacement.
So Overstock charged me the full price on the subject order. But do not delivery the complete order. Please schedule a pickup to take the 4 boxes (3 boxes on 2nd shipment and 1 box on 3rd shipment) left at my house.
So in the summary. Order placed in 8/3/23. 3 incompleted shipments, 2 charges of full price and after 2 months, still not fullfill the order. This is not acceptable in any business.
Desired outcome: 1. Pickup the rest of the shipments (3 boxes from 1st shipment and 1 box from 3rd shipment)2. Refund the 2 charges in full3. Stop any contact after the issue is resolved. and remove my contact from your company.

Billing fraud
I was charged on 7/20/23 in the amount of $498.19. I contacted company to get my money back. Was told they don't have a billing dept. and had no way of looking up the charges without an email address or order number associated.
How would I have the info required. I could only submit proof with copy of charges from my bank statement. How do I get them to remove my bank info from the account who used it and get my refund.
Desired outcome: Would like my info removed from the account committing fraud, and my refund. I could only hope they would terminate the person's account.
Account should’ve been closed.
I payed off and cancelled my account June of 2022. I started getting a statement from Overstock stating that I had a balance. I was apparently charged the membership fee this year when I had already cancelled my account. I have called at least five times to fix this. I was assured that it would be fixed but I just received another bill with another late fee. I’m tired of calling and I just want this resolved.
Overstock.com Review: Be Cautious When Ordering Oversized or Expensive Items
Overstock.com is a good website to shop for small and inexpensive items, but I would advise you to be cautious if you plan to order anything that is oversized or expensive. My experience with them was not a pleasant one. I ordered some tiles for my master bathroom renovation on March 8, and I was told that they would arrive by March 19. However, the tiles got lost, and I had to call them to find out what was going on. They promised me a replacement if the original was not found by Monday, but they did not keep their promise.
I had to call them again on March 23, and they told me that no one had promised me a replacement. They finally ordered a replacement on March 23, but it was canceled a day later. I had to wait for the original tiles, which were still lost. A week passed, and I was still waiting for the tiles. On March 31, I was informed that the tiles were in the area, and I was asked to call to coordinate delivery.
I called the local logistics company to set up a time for delivery, but two days later, I was informed that the tiles were damaged. I was asked if I would like the undamaged tiles, and I said yes. However, on April 7, I found out that the third-party logistics company had put a hold on the tiles, and I could not get my hands on the unbroken material.
I called Overstock.com again and asked to speak to a supervisor. I was told that someone would contact me in 2-4 business days for next steps. I asked if I could speak to the team directly, but I was told that they only communicate by email, not phone. Bureaucracy is rampant, and no one seems to care. If I had not pestered them along the way, I do not think anyone would have called me back.
According to my orders page, this order has been returned, and the replacement order canceled. All I can do at this point is call Amex and cancel payment and hope for the best. If I had known on March 23 that I would still be waiting, I would have ordered from Amazon, who still had stock of the same tile at the time. They have not failed me once in 10 years.
In conclusion, I would recommend that you go elsewhere if you want to avoid the hassle and frustration that I experienced with Overstock.com.
Overstock.com's Terrible Customer Service and Delivery Nightmares
I am so mad and frustrated right now! I ordered a 5 piece bedroom set from Overstock.com for $1484.99 on August 9th. They told me it would be here on August 15th, but it's been over a month and I still haven't gotten it! I've talked to like 15 different people at Overstock and none of them could tell me where my package was or when I would get it. Finally, they said they couldn't find it and they would send me another one. They promised me they would use a different shipping company, but they didn't.
They kept telling me that it was going to be a "white glove delivery" and that they would set it up in my house, but when it finally came today, the guy just left it on my porch and said he wasn't supposed to help me bring it inside. I called Overstock and they said there was a miscommunication and they don't do white glove deliveries. Even if they weren't going to set it up for me, they should have sent someone to help me bring it inside. My husband happened to be home today, but if he wasn't, I don't know what we would have done.
When I called to complain, they told me I would have to pay a delivery fee if I wanted someone to come set it up for me. I had to ask three times to speak to a supervisor before I finally got one. I told them I wanted to return the furniture because I don't want anything in my house that reminds me of Overstock.com and this terrible experience. This is the worst customer service I've ever had!
Most of the time, I was the one calling them to try to figure out what was going on with my shipment. They promised me follow-up calls and emails, but I never got anything. And when I called back, I had to wait on hold for over 30 minutes just to talk to someone. I'm never shopping at Overstock again and I'm going to tell everyone I know not to shop there either. This has been a nightmare!
Thrilling and Heartwarming: A Review of The Hunger Games Trilogy
I have been with Overstock for over 7 years and bought a whole household of furniture, bedding mattresses rugs, and household items from them. I never had any payment issues. Last Sunday I received a phone call from a lady stating I owe $93.95 dollars and my account is Delinquent. I let her know this is odd and never happen before, At first thought it was a scam call. I could not think of what I bought and did not pay for. I quickly paid over the phone as she stated if I did not pay NOW there would be another $35 late charge. I quickly paid over the phone and hung up to call customer service. Then I found out it was a $19.95 charge for the Club O Renewal that I did not purchase. This was put on my account without my knowing. $19.95 for the renal and then- another $19.95 late fee and -two $35 late fees, two min $2 fees for interest all on an unauthorized charge. If that wasn't bad enough on top of all this, the next day I found out they reported to the credit bureau my account was delinquent. My credit was at 810 and just went down -55 points. I called in again to the service line, only to get a lady that would not listen to me, talked over me, and all she would say is "how would you like to make your payment today". I hung up and called back to get gentle man who was educated on how to listen and saw there was an issue. He stated the fees will be taken off, and all the changes related to the fraudulent renal fee. He was kind and very apologetic on what had happened: However, he stated he had no authority or access to the credit report, and I need to write a secure message to request the derogatory remakes be removed from my credit. Please see the response, (received 7/19) I have to wait up to 45 days. I called customer service again and was assured by a kind Lady Rebecca who assured me this will all be taken care of; The fees I paid that day will be credited back to me and the fees associated with this case will be taken off. I even have a case # 190 ***. They sent me an email asking me to do a review on the Club O rewards program. This story is what I wrote. They rejected my review (see the attached) Today 7/20 I had to go to the secured message as none of the late fee charges have been removed from the fraudulent transaction.(I had originally paid these with my debit card when the first lady called stating that she was going to add $35 more on if I did not make the payment that day while we were on the line) My account shows current but late fees are still being requested to pay. Please see the below. This has been a nightmare.
Overstock.com's Poor Record-Keeping Practices: A Customer's Nightmare
I ordered two pairs of Ray Ban polarized wayfarers from Overstock.com on May 29th. One pair was for me and the other for my boyfriend. It should have been a simple transaction, but unfortunately, it was not. When I received the sunglasses, they were not the polarized pair that I had ordered. I contacted customer care and they were more than willing to process a return for me. I sent back both pairs of sunglasses and they shipped me two new replacement pairs free of shipping charges.
However, there was a problem. The customer care representative I spoke to only authorized the return of one pair, rather than the two that I had ordered. So, I returned both pairs of sunglasses, but only received one replacement pair in the second order. To make matters worse, the replacement order was still incorrect, so I had to return that as well. The problem was that I had only been refunded for one pair, rather than the two pairs I originally purchased. It seemed like the record of the replacement pair being returned was missing, or the record of my return of the original order was missing. It was either one of these two possibilities, or they did not record that they had only sent me one replacement pair, rather than two. I believe that Overstock practices poor record-keeping practices, so it is up to the customer to be on top of it.
I contacted customer care and they looked into the case. One hour later, I received a confirmation of my return and notification that a replacement pair was sent. However, I did not want a replacement pair. I wanted a refund for the second pair so that I would not have to deal with Overstock again. I called customer care yet again, and the representative told me he would send me a shipping label. I was confused because I had already sent back the pair I needed to return. He then said he had no information in his records that I returned the replacement pair, to which I provided a tracking number. If I received confirmation that I sent out both shipments and they were received, and this information was available in my account overview, surely Overstock would have that information! After providing the tracking number, I was issued a refund. Time will tell if I actually get this refund, and if this refund is correct.
Overall, the experience of multiple and erroneous returns and lack of competence on the part of Overstock customer care was a massive headache. It was not worth it. If I had not kept a record of the shipments and when they were returned, and if I did not set up an account and monitor my purchases, I would not have been able to do anything about the issue. This was my first experience with Overstock, and it will be my last. Thank you very much.
Overstock.com False Advertising and Poor Customer Service - A Traumatizing Experience
I recently bought a Sun Joe electric lawn mower from Overstock.com for my sister-in-law's birthday. The product was supposed to come with 2- 48 volt batteries and a charger, but when it arrived, it was only the mower. I was so disappointed and immediately contacted Overstock's customer service. They told me that the missing parts were requested and that they would resolve the issue soon. However, I found out that other customers had already left 1-star reviews for the same problem. To make matters worse, the product description on their website was changed to say that batteries and charger were not included and the price went up by a hundred dollars. Luckily, I took pictures of the original write-up and our order.
I spoke to six different customer service representatives over the course of a week, but the issue was not resolved. Finally, I demanded to speak to a supervisor, and after 25 minutes on the phone, Bobby told me that we ordered the wrong item. I was shocked because I had photographic evidence that we ordered the correct item. Then he said we misread the item, which was not true. Finally, he said the item never came with batteries and charger, which was a lie because I had photographic evidence that it did. After all of this, he offered us a "free refund" like he was doing us a favor. I felt like it was false advertising and a bait-and-switch tactic.
To make matters worse, Bobby told us that it would take weeks to get the refund added to our credit card, maybe even a month. He also said that we had to pay for shipping on returns, even though it was their mistake. I was so frustrated and disappointed. My sister-in-law's birthday present was ruined, and we had nothing to show for all of our time and energy trying to resolve this issue. I felt like this whole thing traumatized me, and I will never order from Overstock again.
They didn't even offer us a discount on another purchase or anything. There was literally no effort to make things right. I don't understand how they stay in business or how they can treat people like this. They strung us along for two weeks, and it was a complete waste of time. If you have to order from them, take pictures of the product and the actual order, and then read the fine print before you buy from them. And pray that you actually get what you ordered. If it turns out bad for you, well, I warned you!
Overstock.com Review: New Phone or Refurbished? Buyer Beware!
I recently made a purchase with Overstock.com for a brand spanking new phone, but what I received was a used phone with a broken screen and missing accessories. I did a lot of research and decided to buy an older Samsung Galaxy model, but I didn't want to buy a refurbished phone. Therefore, I was willing to pay extra for a new phone which led me to overstock.com. They were advertising a NEW phone for about $50 to $60 dollars over their competitors. When I received the product, it was somewhat suspect, but without a past knowledge of what accessories came with a Galaxy phone and how it is packaged, I trusted Overstock.com that I was receiving a new phone - never used. It also advertised that it was an unlocked phone and would work with AT&T which it would not, and I had to switch to Verizon to have access to the Data stream, but that is a separate issue.
It turned out that the NEW Galaxy phone had a blemish on the top left corner that quickly showed its true identity as a crack in the screen that worked its way across the top corner. At this time, I just renewed my monthly dues with AT&T, and because the phone would not work with AT&T data stream, I was going to use my old phone for another month and activate the new phone near the end of the old phone's renewal period. I kept the new phone in its packaging that I received with it. After I noticed the crack in the screen, I contacted Overstock.com, and we arranged an exchange in which they were very cooperative and quick with getting a new one out to me. I was very impressed.
What I was not impressed with was the fact that the second phone they sent to me was NEW, and the packaging was completely different than the original phone. It also included accessories that the original phone did not include, such as the earbuds. Also, the battery was sealed in plastic separate from the phone, as was the back piece of the phone. The phone itself was wrapped in a sealed plastic with a screen protector on the front. This was completely different than the first phone that I received that was completely assembled and missing accessories. Therefore, it was obvious that the original phone was used and damaged.
I called them immediately and explained the situation so they could add it to my return notes. Originally we assumed the first phone was damaged on delivery, but that was not the full truth. It was a used damaged phone. I wanted this in my notes so when they inspect the phone, it will be clearly seen that the phone was a refurbished damaged phone. I packaged the first phone for shipping, and I will be dropping it off at UPS. I expect that it will be inspected and noted that it was a used damaged phone from the start and that I am not charged for two phones.
It is very upsetting when you have trust in a company, and they let you down. However, I must say that Overstock.com was very cooperative and quick with getting a new phone out to me. They were very helpful in arranging the exchange, and I was impressed with their customer service. I hope that in the future, they will be more careful with their product descriptions and packaging. Overall, I would recommend Overstock.com, but be sure to double-check the product you receive to ensure it is what you ordered.
Disappointing Payment Processing Experience with Overstock.com Support
I recently had an experience with Overstock.com that left me feeling frustrated and disappointed. I placed an order on their website and was charged for it, but then received an error message stating that the payment had not gone through. I immediately contacted their support team through chat and was connected with a representative named Matt.
Matt was polite and tried to be helpful, but unfortunately, he was not able to resolve my issue. He informed me that the charge I saw on my credit card was just a pre-authorization charge and that it would fall off within 3-5 business days. However, I explained to him that this was not acceptable as I needed the funds to be available immediately to make a purchase elsewhere.
Despite my frustration, Matt remained calm and professional throughout our conversation. He apologized for the inconvenience and suggested that I contact my bank for further assistance. While I appreciated his efforts, I couldn't help but feel like Overstock.com had let me down.
In the end, I was left with a decision to make - continue using Overstock.com or take my business elsewhere. While I appreciate their selection and prices, I am hesitant to use their website again after this experience. I hope that they can improve their payment processing system to prevent similar issues from happening in the future.
Overstock.com: Great Rewards Program, Terrible Customer Service
I gotta say, you can't really judge a store until you have a problem and see how they handle it. I've heard a lot of good things about overstock.com and their "top notch customer service" so I decided to give them a try when I moved into my new house. I signed up for their rewards program and got 5% back on everything, plus free shipping no matter how much I spent.
Things started off great, but then I ran into a problem. Here's how it went down:
Day 1: I placed my order.
Day 3: I got an email saying my order had shipped, but there was no tracking information available yet.
Day 5: Still no tracking info, so I called overstock.com. They told me I had to wait at least 48 hours before they could investigate and to call back tomorrow (even though it had only been 45 hours since I got the shipping confirmation).
Day 6: Still no tracking info, so I called back. They said they'd contact the warehouse and I should hear back soon, usually within a few hours. They said they'd email me when they heard back. But 8 hours later, I still hadn't heard anything, so I called back. They told me it usually takes 1-2 business days. But it was Friday, so now I had to wait until Monday.
Day 9: Still no tracking info or follow-up. I called back again and they told me I had two options: refund or reship. I asked where it was shipping from and they said California. I asked if it was Southern California and they said yes. I asked if it would ship out that day and they said yes, so I chose to reship.
Day 10: Still not shipped yet. I called and spoke to a supervisor who was apologetic but not very helpful. They told me I was given wrong information and that it should ship that day. They said they'd call me later with a tracking number.
Day 11: No follow-up from the supervisor and still not shipped. I called back and got the same supervisor, who told me she tried all day to get in touch with the warehouse but couldn't. I asked to cancel my remaining orders (2) and she said okay and put in the request. I hung up.
Shortly after, I got an email from the supervisor saying the original shipment was out for delivery. It arrived in the manufacturer's box, bubble wrapped on the outside, with the shipping label on the bubble wrap. But the person at the warehouse put the shipping label wrapped around the side of the box, so the barcode couldn't be scanned by UPS. This whole mess was caused by one employee at the warehouse who didn't have any common sense.
I replied to the supervisor's email with a picture of the package and the shipping label, but I didn't even get an apology. All they said was "we're happy your package came, come back and see us soon!"
Yeah, I don't think so. Goodbye, overstock.com!
Overstock.com Review: Terrible Customer Service and International Transaction Nightmares
I gotta say, my experience with Overstock.com was a real doozy. Their customer service is just plain awful, and it's like they're reading from a script or something. I live in Australia now, but I used my US credit card to buy something from Overstock. When I went to check out, it redirected me to this other site called Bongo International, which handles international transactions for Overstock and verifies credit card transactions. But I didn't get any confirmation emails from either Overstock or Bongo for three whole days. So I tried to contact Overstock's customer service through chat, and they transferred me to the international department. They told me it would take three more days for my order to process. But then I waited another three days and talked to another useless customer service agent who told me to wait a few more days. My credit card got charged twice by Bongo, but I still didn't get any confirmation from Overstock. I tried calling, emailing, and chatting with them again, but no one seemed to know anything about Bongo International. Finally, I got an email from Overstock telling me to contact Bongo. So I emailed them and tried to call, but they never responded. Their voicemail said they were only open from 2pm to 5pm central standard time. I told Overstock about all this, and they finally sent me an email saying I needed to verify my transaction with Bongo by clicking on a verification link. I did that, but still didn't get a reply. I was so frustrated that I called Overstock and talked to one of their supervisors, Mr. Fletcher. He said he was looking into it and asked me to send a copy of my credit card statement because he couldn't verify my order. I did that, but still didn't get a resolution. More and more customer service agents kept emailing me with apologies but no solution. Finally, Bongo emailed me saying my transaction had expired because I was supposed to verify my details within six days of purchase. They didn't even issue a refund, just told me to try again. I had to file a credit card dispute to get my money back. I blame Overstock for all this because I made the transaction on their website and they didn't take responsibility for it. But you know what? This whole mess led me to discover my new favorite shopping site, ASOS. They have amazing customer service, great prices, high-quality products, and free global shipping. I've already converted a bunch of my friends to shopping there, and I'll never go back to Overstock, even if I move back to the US.
Poorly Made Product and Customer Service from Overstock.com
I ordered a 9-piece Mahogany Oak Wood Desk Set for my boss on August 26, 2016, and received it on September 1, 2016. Unfortunately, upon opening the box, I discovered that both the letter holder and memo holder were broken. I immediately contacted Overstock.com to report the issue, and they assured me that replacements would be sent out.
However, the process of getting those replacements was not as smooth as I had hoped. I received an email from Ceceli P on September 4, 2016, requesting pictures of the broken parts. Unfortunately, I was traveling at the time and did not see the email. When I received another email from Sara P on September 8, 2016, requesting pictures again, I apologized for my delay and sent the pictures on September 9, 2016.
I received an email from Sara P on September 9, 2016, confirming that the pictures had been received. On September 14, 2016, I received an email from Tiff C, thanking me for my patience and informing me that she had initiated a return for immediate replacement. However, because their warehouse was not set up to send only the damaged parts, they would have to send the entire 9-piece set. Once I received the set, I was to remove the items I needed and take the remaining item to the nearest UPS.
I then received another email with a return label. When I called their 800 number to inquire about having UPS pick up the box instead of me lugging it, I was told that this was possible. On September 20, 2016, I sent an email requesting tracking information on the replacement parts. Shortly thereafter, I received an email from Robin M stating that they had canceled the replacement order. I was confused because I had not requested to cancel the order.
Fourteen minutes later, I received an email from Tiff C stating that tracking information would be sent once the item shipped. When I called on September 22, 2016, and spoke with Valerie, she informed me that they had canceled the replacement order because they had not heard back from me after requesting the pictures. This was a complete lie, and I was grateful that I had not deleted my emails. I pulled up the email thanking me for the pictures and read it to her.
Valerie apologized for the inconvenience and initiated another replacement order and a gift of $10. I received an email with tracking information on September 23, 2016. The replacement order arrived on September 28, 2016, but to my dismay, the replacement letter tray was also broken.
When I called Overstock.com to report the issue, I was told by 'Kymmie' that they could not speak to me and needed to speak with my boss. This was confusing because I had been dealing with them the entire time. I was frustrated that I would have to pull my boss out of a meeting to give permission for them to deal with me again to initiate another replacement.
This experience has left me extremely disappointed with Overstock.com's poorly made product and customer service. Although Valerie was helpful in initiating another replacement after they canceled, I would not recommend ordering from Overstock.com. Do your research and find the product elsewhere.
File Cabinet
I purchased a file cabinet off amazon not knowing it was coming from Here (Overstock). I received it completely damaged and smashed in. I had to pay to return this after hauling to multiple locations that amazon provided. I have yet to receive my refund and this has been almost a month no one will respond to any pictures or emails. I will be reaching out to my attorney moving forward. This has been the worst experience
Desired outcome: Refund in full as well as the shipping fee

I was not able to unpack or put the gazebo together until May 9th due to my Pool deck being finished. When the contractors went to put it up- it was not the quality I expected. We have high winds here in Florida and we do not feel safe to install this gazebo. It is in its original packing.
I would appreciate your re-consideration of the 30day return policy.
This is a lot of money for us and we can't use this gazebo.
Thank you,
Michi Porter

Overpriced products & price matching policy
After waiting for a week to see when my bed I ordered would ship, I reached out to overstock to ask for an update on when it would ship and was told it could be 4-6 weeks (this timeframe was not made clear when ordering it). The person I was talking to told me that I was still in my timeframe to cancel my order. I said, no that ok I still want it. Immediately after speaking to the customer service agent, I found the exact same bed for about 120 dollars less. I reached back out and I asked them to price match it. Overstock customer service told me I had to pay 20 dollars to become an O member to qualify for the price matching. I asked for an exception to be made and for them to consult a manager, they just told me again that I had to be an O member for price matching. I asked the agent to cancel my order that had been sitting in their warehouse for almost a week and they told me they couldn't guarantee that it would be canceled. (even though the person I spoke to 5 minutes earlier told me that I was still within the window to cancel my order). Don't be fooled that Overstock has the best prices. Make sure to check for the items they are selling elsewhere and not pay more for the same items.
Desired outcome: I would like a price match and to receive the same item I was ordering without having to re-order it somewhere else.
Customer service
I placed an order with Overstock on April 5, 2023 for a hot tub. There was a promotional price, and a popup provided another 15% off.
On April 16, 2023, I was shopping on Overstock for items related to the hot tub, when I discovered it had a further reduction. It was now reduced another $1000, although with my coupon the difference was $502.82. I opened a chat window with Customer Service to ask about a price match, which is what other large companies I have utilized will do in this situation.
In chatting with Anne, I was told a couple of different things which did not make sense to me. There was supposedly a rule that said since I had utilized a coupon, there could not be a price match. I then asked about cancelling the order, then reordering. I was told that since my order had been processed, I could cancel, but there was no guarantee it would go through. This order is not expected to be shipped and delivered for another 3-4 weeks, so that didn't make sense either. I asked about ordering, then refusing the first shipment, but Anne said it would cause an issue getting a refund on the first. I then asked for a Customer Service phone number, and immediately placed a call with my cell phone.
I first spoke to Ryan, who put me on hold to check, and was immediately disconnected. Not knowing why we were disconnected, I then used my landline to call back.
I then spoke with Jane. She was first skeptical and acted as if I was being cagey in using a phone number not associated with my account. I explained the reason. She then provided me with a new explanation having to do with the order being on sale AND using a coupon. We spoke for a few minutes, until it was nearing their customer service closing hours. I explained I was still not satisfied, would like to at least cancel to reorder and asked who I could speak to next. She said I would receive a call from a supervisor the following day. No one called.
Today, April 18 2023, rather than a phone call, I received a short email, with yet another new reason why I could not receive a price match. This had to do with the order and my request being greater than 7 days apart. He also used some fuzzy math which did not match the numbers on the date of my initial request.
In delaying his response, Richard L., Customer Service Supervisor, ensured that I could not cancel then reorder because the sale ended and the new price was above the price I paid.
I responded with a short email that based on customer service, I am finished using their company, and once this transaction is complete, I will make my interaction known to friends, family, and on social media.

Desired outcome: I would like the price matched, hence a refund if $502.82.
