discriminatory art
I noticed today that the in one of your Bloomfield Hills stores exclusively depicts people of the causation persuasion. One piece of art in particular depicts a Panara dining room full of all white customers seeming in a 1950s setting. This struck me as odd seeing as how Panara was founded in the 1980s.
I take offence to this type of promotion because it sends a very discriminatory message to customers like my family who are not of the white race but who have been patronizing Panara Bread almost from its inception.
Please consider diversifying your art. It may not mean much to some but to families like ours who look for diversity in public places. Please regard this as a public notice. Thank you.

D. Hines
rude employee
One of the I believe managers by the name Jim Owens was very rude to another employee I witness with my own eyes. He is not friendly at all. All the other people there are very nice but he seems like he has a chip on his shoulder. It needs to be fixed this is none sense. This is a very popular location but if you have rude people that run it.. that's not good for bussiness!
I go to the Panera in Voorhees NJ, I went in to order my French Onion Soup, the employee tells me its off the menu.
I was so shocked! that's all I come to Panera for any my Strawberry Smoothie, I will not return until they put the French Onion Soup
back on the menu. I was a card holder and I brought my family members there at least 2x a week! So you'll be missing a lot of business!
workers ready to go before closing time
We walked into the panera bread in aspen grove, colorado at 9:12 (They close at 9:15) to hear a resounding, "nooooooooo," from an employee, I looked around and asked if they were still open to which a very disgruntled employee barked they were.
They all hung their heads, stopped their cleaning and moped to make us our dinner. Boy, I sure didn't feel welcome! I worked in the food industry for years growing up, and one of the first things the taught me was that you aren't closed until the last customer walks out the door.
What happened to those days? What happened to the days when you made the customer feel welcome rather than shouting 'noooooo, ' at the top of your lungs when they walk in?
When the young man asked what brought us so late, I honestly think he was trying to make conversation, but I had it at this point, and I quipped that they are open until 9:15, "right?"
He said nothing back. I was harsh, but they deserved it! I think they should all be reprimanded or have to go through customer service 101!
people want to go home, they most likely had finished cleaning and closing up for the night when you walked in KNOWING they closed within 5 min, what you did was plain rude, they probably had to stay and clean up AFTER YOU for an extra 30 min to an hour and all you do is be rude and harsh? the people working there most likely had families or were children themselves. grow up.
dirty, service, food quality, personnel washing her face behind the counter
I have stopped at this location ~1x/week. Today tipped the scales. Floor littered with food and refuse, took 20 minutes to get my salad (there were 3 names ahead of mine), on food quality, I overheard the young staff person ask the manager, "are these the only grapes? They don't look the best", to which the manager states, "those are the only ones we have, so use them", seeing they were to go on my salad, now not so hungry. I think the culmination was when Jacqueline (staff person) washed her face standing behind the cash register and then proceeded to fix her hair. Now that the hair was arranged just so, she then
went to organize the baked items. No she didn't bother to use the sink where she washed her face, but chose not to wash her hands at all after arranging her hair. And no, there were no gloves being worn.
The food and refuse on the floor one can rationalize, with 'they must have been really busy', however, it seems to be the norm for this location when compared to the other Panera's in Madison. The rest IMO is poor management. The manager clearly hasn't trained his personnel and isn't in control of the facility or the personnel.
gonna eat elsewhere next time
Ordered a flatbread chicken sandwich, a chocolate chip cookie and a tea. Simple huh.
Got to window and give buffoon #1 my card. He walked away with it.
Buffoon #2 comes and tells me there is no flat bread. Fine. make it on whatever.
Buffoon #3 (who I assume is the night manager) comes and tell me the same thing. At this point I do not care what bread to put it on.
Buffoon #2 comes back and asks if I have been rung up. I tell him no and (oh by the way) buffoon #1 walked off with my card.
After I pay. they have me pull up to the infamous yellow pole (conveniently located) by the dumpster.
The line behind me is now five cars deep.
Buffoon #4 comes out and tells me that the French onion soup has been discontinued. I said WHAT are you talking about?
I am waiting on a measly sandwich on the wrong bread, a cookie, and a tea.
About ten minutes later, buffoon #3 delivers the goods. I ask if it is all here and he says yes. I repeated the order to him: a sandwich. some chips, a chocolate chip cookie and an ice tea.
I get home with a cold sandwich on some soggy bread, NOT a chocolate chip cookie, and a ice tea. I did get the chips, though.
I have been through drive-thru many times during the day and they have been good (probably because they are all girls).
These buffoons belong elsewhere.

Customer service
I observed on Sunday September 6 at 11:15 an Indian couple placing order and the Asian cashier helping them was not friendly and somewhat rude Then a white male with his child was next she was extremely nice and helpful to him. This is not the first time I have observed this practice with this cashier . I hope this is addressed soon and resolved location mosaic on gallows road

ugly, very ugly
While multimedia is promoting the sensationalized decline of mass culture into savage barbarism, this company is contributing to this dangerous trend by the display of animalise devouring of food. Panera food products are unsuitable for real human or domestic pet consumption and Panera brand media represents freakish behavior and mutations of decency. The inferior quality of this brand and the circus-like atmosphere at their locations is a blatant insult to the food industry as well as the aspirations human evolution. We will pursue efforts against this disgusting form of advertising as a threat to public well-being.
LOL, Panera is disgusting, I hate go there too.
credit card scanners scam
Complaint: The Issue with Panera (8531 Texas 151 Access Rd, San Antonio, TX 78245) and the steps I had to follow to resolve it: Please read
On 7/26/2015 I was at Panera Bread on State Hyw 151, San Antonio, with my wife. We ordered black beans soup, a sandwich and coffee for $14.09. I swiped my credit card on the scanner however the cashier said I have to use the other scanner and I did so. In few days I checked my credit card account online I found in addition to the $14.09 that was charged on 7/26 there was another charge of $44.14 charged in the same date on my card. What have had happened I guess is that the cashier did not cleared/ cancel my credit card information from the previous scanner, and a customer (with a big family) came and used the scanner with my credit card info still in it and their order got charged to my card (the $44.14).
I went to Panera on 8/1/15 with print out of my credit card charges showing the $44.14 charge that is not belonging to me and talked to the Manager and he was very understanding and happy to give me a credit back to my credit card. He scanned my credit card for $44.14 for credit (refund) and gave me the receipt. Surprisingly when I checked my credit card account I found another charge of $44.14 charged to my credit card again. This amount supposed to be credit (refund). Eventually instead of a refund, my card charged again for the same amount ($44.14). Now I have two charges of $44.14 showing on my credit card that are illegitimately charged and not belonged to me.
I talked to one of the managers (Lewis) back and forth for over a week with no progress in resolving the issue to get the (2 x 44.14) that have been illegitimately charged back to my credit card. Mr. Lewis wasted my time in calling him almost every day asking him for the refund, he was confusing and advised me to come over to Panera again with print out showing the charges and talk to the general manager to get the issue resolved.
On 7/18/15 I came for the 2nd time to Panera to meet the general manager “Mr. Memo”. He was so unprofessional, he did not even introduce himself to me or greet. He is rude. I feel sorry that Paneara hires people like him. At first he denied what happened to me and accused me of lying. Then after he talked with the Head Quarter he came to me and said yes this can happen. He didn’t even care to apologize.
I finally got my money refunded to my credit card on 8/20 however it was unexpectedly hassle in doing that. It took me over 3 weeks of frustrations, driving to Panera after my work when the issue could be resolved over the phone. And after all I wasn’t even compensated for my time and frustrations. I am a regular customer of Panera and truly love it. I would suggest the following:
1. Revisiting the card scanning machines and alert the workers, cashiers to make sure that they cancel any transaction that was scanned wrongly into these machines because these machines can keep card information and the next customer will eat free.
2. Panera to hire good customer service people who can keep customers happy and get rid of such rude people.

food
I have forever ordered a tomato mozzarella panini. Now, though it is off the menu and replaced with a tomato mozzarella flatbread. First of all, I have tried that and it is disgusting it is impossible to eat without everything falling out and oil or something tainting and sticking to everything. Everyone I know has always been able to customize what they want, but every time I ask them to put on ciabatta bread some tomatoes and mozzarella they refuse! Or they lie and just give me the flatbread.

4. Bread was not toasted. No grill marks, cheese not melted, tomotoe cold. Was replaced with a correct sanwich. poor experience
I stop by the camp hill panera at the camp hill mall every day sometimes multiple times a day.i have watched that location go down hill for quite sometime.this week one day no hot water for a period of time for making coffee.problem was remedied fairly quickly.today toaster was broken.i also tripped over a loose carpet tile by front door.there is a very large turnover with counter people which makes for difficulty in taking care of customers in line.for the most part management is poor.the dining room is dirty, you have to adk for tables to be wiped every day.since i am there so frequently i hear complaints of customers as they visit with each other. That location is in Dire need of a remodel! As a last comment yesterday the ladies room had a stall Empty of toilet tissue.
cleanliness
My husband & I visited the Wolf Rd Panera Bread in Albany NY & noticed immediately dirty tables & floors. The used plates & bowls piled high near the garbage cans. The food preparation area was totally dirty scattered with food on a very dirty floor. My husband visited the rest room & said it was very dirty. They also messed up our order. So we had to wait for our order to be corrected. We will definitely not go back to this location! I'm quit certain the health dept. would be interested to make a visit to this location! Please clean up your act! It was money that I had wished that we hadn't spent!

order
I went to Panera's after I picked up my prescription because I wasn't feeling well. I ordered a bowl of soup and a sierra turkey sandwich and a cinnamon roll. I got my soup, sandwich and cinnamon roll, what I didn't get was bread to go with my soup, chips to go with my sandwich. This is the second time I have had problems at this Panera's. Last time I ordered two sierra turkey sandwich's and I guess they gave me whatever they wanted to, because it wasn't sierra turkey. The people that prepare the food don't even speak to you, they act like they lost their best friend. If they don't want to work then they should leave and let someone else have their job.

wrongful termination
i would like to complain about the absurd actions of three baker managers in spartanburg sc. The head honcho, Steve and his 2 cronies Mike and Mary. After 4 years of loyal service i was fired for asking for evidence. Sounds crazy right? i was accused of saying something months earlier. i politely refused to get into a he said she said conversation over it, and i said why. It is because things are mis-remembered over time. I said that if you accuse someone of saying something you should have evidence. They acted like incompetent juveniles said it was ridiculous for me to ask for evidence of what i was accused of, That they would never lie or mis-remember anything, that i had a bad attitude, and i was fired on the spot. i told them to go #%^& themselves and to enjoy the fascism they obviously support. Here is my question for any panera cronies looking at these complaints: Is it policy to enforce fascist "right to fire" "laws" when your employees stand up to absurd and juvenile actions of the managers? i demand an apology for violating my constitutional rights. These managers abused their power when I verbally exercised my right to be free of unwarranted accusation. PERIOD. Panera violated my rights PERIOD.
I thought they fired her because they found out she was four years old once she demanded her mommy come read her a bedtime story, and give her milk in a sippy cup.
You are the one acting like a juvenile. Grow up, maybe if you acted your age you would not have been fired. Part of the reason you were fired was because you are acting like a four year old.
delivery service
I was so excited to see that we were getting a Panera Bread near my work. I went on line and created an account so I could order easier. First thing that caught my attention is that you cannot order for a pick up and pay for it in cash You must use a credit card for anything on the website so if you only have 30 minutes for lunch you can't just call and order then pick up and pay cash which is my first complaint. If you get a delivery and notice that something is missing and think you can just call the store well Surprise! Your call goes to a phone bank which in turn takes forever to get a person then you can estimate that your missing item will arrive approx. 30 minutes after your lunch is over. Now my final problem came today while trying to order using a credit card of course. One of the items was said to be unavailable but it would not tell me which item so I called for assistance, waited for someone approx. 15 mins then was told well lets just do this order over the phone. So let me ask you this, why have all the great service items if half the time they do not work. By the way when my order got here it had all the items I was trying to order in the first place. If it was not for 2 items on the menu I would give up on ever eating here again. The food is great! The customer experience is shall we say not so great. Oh and after my 15 min. phone complaint on the above items and my $25.00 order I did not even get a free cookie!
bias and discrimination, no customer service
I stopped even trying to order food at the Panera Bread Cafe in Studio City. The food was rotten and stunk, and the service completely nonexistent. I started to try and buy a few things at the Panera's in Sherman Oaks. In five visits, even when there was no line, I waited an average of 20 minutes to order something from the bakery. Today, after a 2 month delay, I went in and stood ready to order. After waiting for more than 5 minutes, watching various Panera employees scurrying around, ignoring me, a fellow walked in, and "BOOM", two women immediately said "Can I help you?" to him. I had to remind them that I had been there for 5 minutes before he walked in. The women gave me dirty looks. Finally, I got a bit of service, and as I have been doing for 2 years now, I ordered just an item or two, and left. The people managing and owning Panera's are so out to lunch and in denial, I wonder that the business still exists.
shift supervisor and general manager
The boses came to our cafe cos everyone here complained to ethics about the General Manager bullying abusing and playing favorites.
Plus she's a big druggie who buys pot and smokes it with her buddies. She moved her two friends into shift supervisor jobs and it ain't fair here. They are always high and the GM is terrible. She came back after bein gone and found out about the boss and and HR person talkin to everyone here and now she's worse than ever. Her buddie Julie is bragging to everyone that she lied for Taree cos they are best friends and how she lied abut our best manager here cos she "HATES"him. We all know she crushing on him but he's a married guy and big Christian so he won't have nothing to do with her. She is telling everyone that she's going to get him fired. This guy is a great manager. He is real good at his job and always does the right thing and he works harder than anyone here. The General Manager is Taree and she is telling everyone here she is going to set him up and get him fired. These two witches are terrible and just plain mean. This manager they bullying dont deserve this and somebody needs to do something about this GM and this shift supervisor. They should get drugtested and fired for smoking dope on there breaks and being high. This is such a crummy place to work and we all feel bad for our one good manager. Guess we'll keep calling the hotline til someone does somethin about Taree and Julie. We all hate this place.
food, cleanliness & hospitality
Worst driving experience in many many years. Don't even know where to begin. I guess it started when I walk through the front door and there were flies crawling all over the cookies desserts etc. Behind the counter. I should've left right then because the young lady at the front register was taking our order and trying to swat away the flies from her head. I ordered a basically a steak sandwich without onions or horseradish chips and a tea. My wife ordered a turkey sandwich chips and a water also french onion soup. Waiting for our order I went over to the drink bar to get my iced tea. I noticed a drink bar was a bit of a mess and needed cleaning and wiping down. I thought then that was kind of a hard being there was only four customers in the store and a lot of employees pretty much doing nothing. I got my steak sandwich and took one bite and noticed blood dripping from my sandwich onto my plate. They meet us barely seared almost raw. I guess some people like that i'm not one of them, not edible to me. My wife said her turkey sandwich with some kind of cheap press meet and was horrible also not edible to her. Even a potato chips were some sort of kettle corn hard/not good. Even my ice tea was terrible, the only thing any good was my wife's bottled fiji water. The staff was very unfriendly and non - concerning. So... We decided the best thing to do at this point was to just leave because we were really pissed off! To top it off with my wife stood up from the booth I noticed the back of her white pants have greasy food stains on them. Apparently from the booth she was sitting in that was never cleaned. Wow...! I wouldn't go back to panera bread if it was free... Any panera bread anywhere! Just for the record here is my receipt code number ; [protected]-2453-19 your order number was 129 with pager :vicky4. We took pictures of my raw steak sandwich in the back of my wife's pants...
take out order
Sent my daughter to Panera's for the strawberry poppy chicken salad. When she brought it home there was NO DRESSING the baguette was just thrown in the bag and I Was very upset..How can you forget the dressing for a salad? I called the store to make sure they would be open so I could bring it back and get my money back..I didn't even want another salad and was insulted when the manager said would a cookie help?. My husband and I go to Panera's at least once a week but we will. Not be going back or ordering take out! Having to drive back to the store made me even angrier! They should make sure that take out orders are double checked to make sure they are right/complete..
oh my god! not the dressing! please tell me this atrocity on humanity didn't really happen. I don't think I'll be able to sleep tonight knowing there are salads out there without their dressing.
Wow, the same thing happened to me! Got home with my salad & no dressing, I shouldn't have to check & see if my order is complete, that's their job ... IT'S NOT ROCKET SCIENCE!
restaurant general manager
Taree Goode is an awful Manager. She terrorizes the employees. She buys pot from the staff and smokes it on her breaks and then calls the associates names. She lies to her boss and puts on a good act when he comes to the store but that place is the worst. Why they don't fire her I don't know. I wish they would. I hate that place because of Taree.
