took my money
So I try to order a pizza with Papa Johns tonight 6/23/2010 around 8:06pm it took us 2x on the card number but she confirmed my order had been placed and paid. Delivery guy shows up and wants $15.58 cash??? I explained how I had already paid so he called his manager (Patti?) who took my card number again confirmed it and I received my pizza. Not even one...

My wife and I wre in the store and ordered a to go pizza. My wife just happened to stand up and was watching the girls behind the counter making the pizzas when she became very upset and motioned for me to come to the counter. She then told the manager that she was canceling the order because she witnsseed one of the girls actually eating AND touching (mouth to fingers) the cheese that she was putting on the pizza. I don't think that will get us to come back to Papa John's for quite some time...or any pizza delivery for awhile!
Hey, let's just all just stop going out to eat and ordering food from places and learn to GROW and prepare our own stuff...then we won't have to sorry about it, right? Can't say much for people being out of work though...can we? Too bad there isn't much respect for other people, huh?
Norman, don't worr about people who have nothing to say...they show their true selves as we see...
I will ignore anything from BlackIrish from now on (or any idiot that speaks that doesn't have anything intelligent to say). You don't know me or my wife, BlackIrish...so you will be gnored from now on...
BlackIrirish,
Grow up and don't call people liars before you know them! When my wife spoke out loud about it, why then did the worker and the rest of the employees get silent? Because they may have been caught? When you call someone a liar, it shows how low you are...
notes from a former pj employee
I recently quit my job as an in-store customer service rep at papa john's. I believe every accusation made against them here and i'm very sorry for that fact. Somebody wrote that pj's is a hostile environment, which is exactly why i left. I could no longer take the hostility bestowed on me by my mangers, and i couldn't take the hostility bestowed on the customers by my co-workers and managers. I really enjoyed getting to know my regular customers; believe it or not i remembered their names, their "go-to" orders, etc. I frequently gave my carryout customers extra sides of sauce free of charge because i think it's ridiculous to charge 80 cents for something so small. Anyhow, i was with pj's for nearly two years. I got a "promotion" which meant that i got to wear a different colored shirt and take on more responsibilities, yet i received no pay raise. When i asked about getting a raise, the gm just laughed in my face. There were many occasions in which i watched as the gm verbally assaulted his delivery drivers, calling them "worthless f***heads" and what-not. So many complaints have been filed against this man, and yet he remains. Why? As another unhappy customer stated, it's all about profit. He may be a terrible person, but he manages to bring money to the store, so he stays.
Here are a few things you should know regarding some complaints:
*if your pizza is late, it is more than likely no fault of the driver. It really depends on how fast the makeline is turning out their products, and whether or not the store is understaffed. Because, as i stated before, it's all about the profit, recently papa john's has been cutting peoples hours to save money, and scheduling too few people on any given day. That said, please tip your driver. They live off of their tips. If you can't afford to tip them, then you should probably pick your order up to save them the strife. Oh, and the delivery charge is not a tip. They get a measly cut of that and the rest goes to the suits.
*when dealing with a rude team member or manager, kill them with kindness. It sounds silly and i realize it may be hard to do in the heat of the moment, but trust me as someone who's seen it happen: it works! Managers/shift leaders in particular seem to get a sick satisfaction out of willing a customer to curse at them. Nothing pisses them off more than when a customer is able to bite his or her tongue and remain cordial throughout what should be a heated exchange.
*if you want the smoothest ordering process possible, i suggest avoiding ordering online. It may seem convienent, but in reality there are so many bugs within the system that have yet to be worked out that sometimes it's worse. Coupons don't "stick" and you end up being charged regular menu price, the system "bugs out" and somehow switches your order from delivery to carryout or vice-versa, and sometimes the order isn't sent through at all, or it is sent through but to the wrong location.
*be careful when paying by credit or debit card. If something happens and you have to make a change to your order or cancel it completely, it can take up to two weeks for the cost of the previous order to be deposited back into your account.

I just recently got fired well on [protected]. at the 72nd papa johns in Tacoma Washington. I got fired because I was tricked into snitching on the whole store smoking pot on the property during working hours and the general manager smokes pot with his employees even before the drivers go on the road to deliver. this is including myself. the gm also yells at his employees and treats them with complete disrespect. when a customer comes into our store they are usually welcomed by profanity filled rap music or the classic death metal blaring from the back. and of course a full staff of baked employees. no one dresses up to code and in fact the homeless population usually dress better. The day before my 40th birthday I came into the store hours before I was scheduled just like any day. I would make a pizza and bring it to the pot store and grab weed for work later that night. my gm is fully aware of this because I give him some during work and we would smoke together with a few other employees every night. when I went to get my pot I was tricked into taking what u would call a dab, which is just thc in concentrate. I felt very weird and was afraid I wasn't going to be able to drive so as soon as I got to work and before I clocked on, I went to my gm and told him the whole story and told him that I felt ok now but was told its going to get worse, the gm then decided to tell me to clock on knowing I was too messed up to drive. I feel he is my boss and the person I answer to and if he is condoning smoking pot on the job then that is on him. I clocked on and proceeded to bag up where I fell to the floor. I then went into the office and told my gm I couldn't drive and he just cussed at me and told me to get myself together and get back to work. I told him I had very bad cramps and am very dizzy and will go to my car and eat something. my gm left me to basically almost overdose in my car, clocked on my delivery for over 146 minutes. I came back in and I went home. The following days the only thing my gm said to me about this was you were lucky you didn't get fired, this was his response to me telling him I have decided to not smoke while I drive at work anymore. then for the rest of the week he started punishing me under the table as there was no record of this incident. meaning he never even wrote me up. the final straw was on super bowl sunday, one of the busiest days we got. The district managers were there and every one was cleaning and looked very professional for once...until the DM's left. 20 minutes after they had left an employee came to me in the back where I was cleaning and asked me why because no one else was, she stated that the managers were gone for a while and every one stopped fake cleaning as soon as they left and that she was surprised I was still hard at work. Are you serious? She then said she was surprised she didn't work Monday and that told me the new schedule was posted and it surely was, right on the door for me to see that my gm cut my work hours in half. needless to say I almost walked out but I must have a job to pay my bills so I just handled it the best I could and worked the whole night with constant tears running down my face. I closed with my gm and he did not say even one word. there is so much more to this story but basically I was then tricked into believing the dms knew of this incident and was told there was a meeting. when I came in to have the meeting both dms had no idea. they were just there to look at items that were in need of repair. I at that point just made the decision to come clean about everything. I was thanked for my information and then after three days I was brought in to sign a statement that contradicted my statement saying basically I feel its ok I smoke at work because the gm smokes pot...not specifying at work. I was the ONLY person fired from the store. Last year this same manager worked at our store for a short time as a gm. during his time at 72nd, being a gm, he would drink alcohol on the job and run the store intoxicated. He was caught and instead of being fired, was suspended for a week and then transferred to a different store to run it as a gm. I'm not here to complain in a blog, I want numbers I can call to report this franchise. I want justice! I want exposure and I want to make it so nothing like this happens ever again. I have been with this company for almost 3 years with no write up. well except the one my manager wrote up after I flipped out and announced that I was going to the dms. I need help! I need to know how to get this out there if you have any information please send me an e-mail at KBryant36604@tacomacc.edu thank you for reading
Which Papa Johns were you talking about. Richmond Rd? What is the managers name?
You are incorrect sir...Papa John's pays there drivers while they are inside the store 7.25 an hour and 5.85 when they are on the road...it is a dual wage assessment and is now at every PJs
I think you guys have just had a bad experience with particular stores. I work for a store here in Georgia and everyone at my store is absolutely wonderful (minus a couple turds lol.) We have a great team and plenty of staff. Everyone gets at least 30 hours a week (even the part-time employees) and our store manager is extremely willing to work with our schedules. If we say we can't work a certain day he has plenty of other employees to jump in a fill the shift. No requesting off or having to get an approval. We get payed well and our drivers make really good money. It breaks my heart to read some of these stories because I absolutely love my job and I intend to stay here until I complete my schooling.
What he said. Additionally, since raw dough is a health concern, they *have* to make sure that the dough is raw. If it is, they'll take drastic steps. Otherwise, since every pizza is cooked in the exact same oven, and no-one else complained, they're going to assume you're lying.
I would like to add that I am a full-time student who has a wife and two kids. I like most really depend on making good money. As a student it is hard to find work that will work with school hours. I worked at Pizza Hut for 2 years until a change in management occurred and I quit and went to Papa Johns. Unlike Pizza Hut, Papa Johns don't pay drivers 7.25 an hour, we get 5.85, and unlike Pizza Hut, Papa Johns sends the drivers on these amazingly far trips. For instance we have to drive to fort sill to service the military. It's on average 30 miles round trip, Gas right now is $3.67, we get our 5.85 + 1.30 delivery and it cost us at least $4 in gas just to get there. I've done the math I've made as little at $1.65 an hour (hence me putting in my two weeks) and for some reason the soldiers don't TIP! and no it don't matter what you do, they have the sense of entitlement, like we owe them because they chose to join the army! I brought this to the attention of the management but like the other employee noted above they don't care they said, "there's the door!" If I remember correctly Papa Johns training videos, they like to do anything and everything to keep their employees! What a lie, just like there use of only fresh ingredients, bull, if you notice when John talks about the "fresh ingredients" he is typically standing in front of a ton of canned tomato sauce.
now athough my exsperianc may not be that avaisive I was an employee for almost five year they say the shirt color don't matter they lied. it do.but what dont matter the little golden loyaly bagde.I have been work at papa john for 5 year in hopes of becoming maniger.read the book and every thing want to take the class as my maniger said i ll train you without training me or sening me to the places where i could be trained. decide on variouse accassion to sit in his office as i rand the store often telling other to leave. because his number one girl had this. also often having me to slap doe top abd cut the pizza deliver all in in one night with ou assistance or complaint i did so because i thought this was part of my manigment train.even thought i am not a maniger today I 'm am still proud of the hard work a put in there traveling three store every night to make sure pj's was on top of there game. it would have been nice if. i would have gotten the tittle even if it came without the money my fillen was truly hert. i tranfer a nother store.that wouldn't even give my the opertunity of becoming a regiler shift maniger.all that work felt like a wast and all i ever wanted was training. the opertunity to prove my self in a way i did. 5 yearsof working at three store every nightof every day. I mist out on my kids. mykids and b-day all holiday.all of that.
they used to have rice crispy treats and now they are gone
Papa Johns makes good pizza but after you eat it it gives you a stomach ache. They used to have rice crispy treats and now they are gone.

Rice crispy treats? I worked there 6 years and NEVER had rice crispy treats!
delivery map area
I searched Papa John's website using my home address for a store location and it populated the Austell Rd location as being 3.03 miles from my house. I placed a call to the store for the delivery order. I was told “We do not deliver to your location and to call the Powder Springs store location. I stated the map states the Powder Springs store is 3.64 mile...

I ordered small mushroom pizza and wings from Papa Johns Pizza, Middleburg Hts., Ohio, on Pearl Road. So I go in, tell him my name. He gets my two little boxes and then opens up the wing box to show me aluminum foil folded up with ranch on the side. I looked at him like? What? And? Then he opened up my pizza box and exposed my hot pizza in the air and showed it to me as if it was a diamond ring or something. And I told him to close the box already! I paid for it and left very angry and disgusted. Nobody has ever done that before to me. Does the Delivery guy go to your house and open up the boxes in front of you before you pay for them? No, he looks at the tag on the box to make sure he is giving you the right box. It just made me feel like, ugh, this guy just opened up my box of food. What else did he do to it before I got there. I also felt like he suggested that "ha ha, I opened up your box of food and there's nothing you can do about it". And I also felt violated and I felt like, are you that inept that looking at the tag receipt pasted to the box with my name on it isn't enough? Did I ASK for you to open my box of pizza? I want it to stay hot. Anyway, thanks for listening. If I call the manager, he won't care anyway. What do you think?
In many papa john's franchise stores the employees are REQUIRED to open at least one box from each order to show the customer the product. They do this for a few reasons...one, they want the customer to know they aren't afraid to show off the food they just made...and two, it allows an opportunity to identify an incorrect order before the customer leaves the store.
As for the guy who made this complaint...I'm no professional...but sounds like a clear cut case of bubble-boy envy to me.
Shut the ### up and eat my ###. He showed you your food before you took it, probably to make sure your dumb ### wouldn't complain about a wrong order or some ###. It's probably the same mother###er that cooked it too, are you going to complain that he touched it then? How the ### did you feel "violated"? If somebody can't even touch your ###ing box, perhaps take some ###ing cooking classes and make your own god damn dinner you stupid cum stained ###.
bad quality food
I ordered Three Pizza's today for a family reunion and The Pizza delivered caused health problems ( Indigestion and Stomach Aches) . The Pizza's looks like to bought from some other Cheap Pizza shops and packaged in the Papa Johns pizza boxes. On top of it, The Store said that customers does not have appetite for the Pizza. A very poor service and Poor Product from the known vendor. It seems to be that their popularity has gone on top of their head and now taking their customers for Granted by sending rotten & bad quality food.

sounds like a poor experience overall...please let us know which location to avoid...
wouldnt take order
Called at 9:45pm Manger Matt would not take my order said they were closed. They close time is 10:30pm. I called 2weeks ago about what time there really closed and the employee said its suppose to be 10:30 but it depend on the manger and what time he wants to close if not busy enough. This is CRAP and if u say ur open til a certein time they company should follow this rule. U are gonna lose a lot of business from this. ur competters have a set time and follow it WHY DONT U?
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
would you want to be stuck at a crappy job without a single order for 2 hours when you can be home spending time with your family? No, you wouldn't so get over it and YES Papa Johns does suck!
If it's a franchise, they can do whatever they want.
Get over it. Papa John's sucks anyway.
fraudulent delivery charge
Just placed an order for a 15.99 special and added a 2litter and when I heard 27 and some change as the total I asked what was the tax on the order...the tax amount was stated to me and then she said OH and a $2 delivery charge so I said ok and then went online to see what others thought. They need to up their menu $ amount cause as far as I am concerned a delivery fee goes mostly towards the driver and if not they need to look for a better delivery job or find a job in another profession...SOORY...but I would, cause the drivers are being used and customers are being GOT!...this will be my last time placing a delivery order with Papa Johns and sorry to the driver coming to my house...
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
If they charge a delivery fee, it should go to the driver, it costs the company no more whether it be delivered or picked up. if you cut out their deliveries and they could no longer deliver pizzas, they would go outta business. Another case of Corporate American Greed, screw the consumer. And to the ### with the size 14 shoe, Buddy I always answer my door with a 38 Special in hand, pizza man or not, step on my flowers and you will be wearing a size 2 shoe tough guy. Good PR for Papa Johns, I will shake your drink and damage your property...
Its ok...no matter where you work as a delivery driver...we remember the non tippers...case in point...if you order a drink...im going to shake it up so it explodes everywhere when you open it...if I am taking three deliveries and your is the first ordered I normally deliver first, but if its a lame tip or no tip...guess who gets it last? Oh and those nice flowers in your driveway or sidewalk...they might get crushed accidentally by my size 14 shoe...sorry about that...
I know for a fact that Papa Johns does not Give their drivers a cent of that delivery charge, they also pay the drivers below min. wage because they are considered "tipped employees". I don't know about everyone else out there but jobs are kind of scarce right now, I know people that have college degrees that are delivering pizza!
Also, delivery drivers are making less than the minimum wage when they go out on the road to bring you your pizza because it is expected they will get some sort of tip...
AND, many delivery drivers are doing this as a side job, not their main job, so basically they are sucking up their pride (something you have yet to do) and doing what they have to do to survive... It's called being a grown up!
At almost any pizza chain the delivery charge does not go to the delivery driver at all! IF you are too much of a cheap [censor] to tip someone who is bringing you your pizza you need to drag your lazy [censor] to the store and pick it up instead! The drivers are using their own gas and their own cars and so you need to appreciate a little and grow up a lot!
rotten customer relations!
I made the mistake of ordering a Papa John's pizza online, taking advantage of their $10 pizza special.
My order was for a half pepperoni, half cheese. Half, as in h-a-l-f.
I get my pizza 40 min. later, pay for it, open it up — and it's all pepperoni and extra cheese!
Calling the shop up, I politely point out the mistake. The person on the other end started to politiely blame the online ordering... then realized that, whoops, they made a mistake. "Er — sorry about that."
Sorry? Sorry? Is that all? I spent $13 of my money — incl. tax and tip, and didn't get what I blinking ordered, and that's all they say, is "sorry?"
No offer of a replacement pizza, or perhaps a free beverage or a coupon for something off my next order... NOTHING offered for my inconvenience of NOT getting what I flippin' ordered?
It was their mistake, their cook didn't read the online order properly — neither did the # on the phone, either, apparently, until he read it a third time!
Well, screw Papa John's, next time I order from Dominoes or a local pizzeria, who WANT my repeat business!
I'm not wasting $13 on Papa John's again, no way!

That sounds just like our papa johns in texas.. They unfortunately are the only pizza company that delivers here in our town and every time our order is wrong.. then when we call the store they blame us for them not getting our order right. The manager actually told us that he didnt believe us.. And the customer service is so bad we have made complaints to corporate office and still havent gotten a response. In my opinion they need to start replacing some employees..
rude managers, hostile work environment
I am a Papa John's "insider" who has been working at the Montrose location for a little over 6 months. The hiring manager is very unprofessional, and whenever something up front goes wrong, she is very rude to me, even if the problem was not directly caused by me. This store is a mess, and all the managers but one or two are incredibly rude to their...

After working for Papa John's for 6 years, I've seen MANY customers screw up their own online orders only to call and blame the store (I've been cursed out and called every name in the book!) Even when I would be presented with printed out conformation emails from the order, which clearly showed the mistake was made by the customer, they STILL insisted they didn't do it and it was our fault! Still, I do NOT condone how you were treated in that store and I would NEVER treat a customer like that! That is messed up and what you get by a company forced to hire spoiled teenagers with no work ethic and no care for the customers. Mommy and Daddy pay for everything they need, so they don't care about their jobs. They treat you however they want cuz they just don't care. I finally quit because after 6 years of complaining to my store manager and even up to the president of our franchise about them playing on their phones, ignoring customers, and disappearing every 10 minutes to smoke cigarettes, the only response I ever got was "They're just kids, what do you expect?" I even fired a couple for smoking weed behind the store only to get rehired the next day, because I couldn't "prove" that's what they were doing. It's BS and on of the many flaws of the food service industry!
delivery driver and kinda stalked... kinda
I ordered pizza two-three days ago during the day online and I paid $10 by papa card and the rest I was to pay in cash. The guy didn't have to call me, he came straight to my door and he confirmed how much I had to pay and I gave him that exact change he said I was to pay. Now the two days later (which was last night) I ordered again and my order was about...

I was just informed recently (December 2009) by my son, that the General Manager of the fast food pizza chain, Papa John's informed him that he was no allowed in the store. Facts: he was an employee of that store and quit without notice back in Feb/Mar 2009.
I am basically appalled and would like the complain filed wherever appropriate while I see information on this corporation's store policy as well as seek legal counsel on civil rights and businesses.
Thank you,

Papa Johns Seems to have gone down to the mode of Unprofessional Management in both the store's and above the store leaval Upper Management too, . It seems John S .. Needs to Clamp down on his management teams at both the corporate and Franchese Levels, . If the Franchesee's don't want to strightent up .. He can Choose to show them the door, . and go Elseware, . the Hampton Inn hotel chaine does this frequently with franchesee's which end up either joining another hotel/motel chaine or become an independent hotel/motel operation .. with out any grudges held against either parties, .
As I worked for them PJ Franchesee for a very short period in 2003 in Ocala FL area, . under the company of Central florida Pizza or Pizza of Central florida following Store's Store # 2800 Store # 1124 Store # 497 Store # 4340 Store # 4213 Store # 4115 Store # 3882 Store # 4137
Store # 4188, . They got taken over by force from corporate PJ under threats from the IRS coming in and taking the business Franchees Stores Over under the operation of Law due to the owner / Franchesees not paying Taxes and Employees income with holdings and Social Security Taxes with holdings both employer / emplyees soc, security payroll taxes, .
Out come was Corporate gave control of the Ocala locations over to another Franchesee and investors, . My short time with them wasn't very pleasent .. Management seemed to have its short comings and wasn't the same type of team players as I had worked with prior years ago with Domino's Pizza Corporate stores in south florida, . it just wasn't the same type of team coaching envoroment Domino's Pizza had under the Operation of its sole owner & founder thomas Monoghan once had...
I think what Papa Johns has had a lack of a serious experience with being Sued in a Court of Law because of there managers & Managements actions and treaments of others, . Treat People like Humans ... not Mechines or Like Robots . which is another problem.. there seems to be a lack of good atty's these days .. its just another signs of the USA's fall and decline .. which all are hand in glove . in one area or another area.
I shall post photos of the locations: that should make them feel happy : )
I ordered 2 pizzas from the Gonzales store, in Louisiana, on January 4th. To be delivered to my daughter's house in Gonzales. I called a 2nd time to give additional directions. It was at this time the manager "Carolyn" informed me, that they do not deliver that far out. So I requested that she refund my credit charge. She said " we can't do that." Your refund will show up in 4 business days on your statement. Well, it did not. So I called again on the 11th. This time I talked to a man ( I did not get his name.) He told me that credit cards were not processed until the night shift, so there were no charges on my credit account. Later that day, I spoke to Carolyn & told her the charge is showing on my statement. She told me it would be 5 to 10 working days. I know refunds can be done faster than this. I want my money back.
Please give this concern your attention in a timely maner.

I agree with the previous post. You should be teaching your son the consequences of quitting without notice.
junk mail
Have received on average 1 piece of junk mail per week from my local Portland, Maine store, along with the junk I get from every other company it adds up. We don't get this in England.
Have called their headquarters to no avail-it's down to the franchise, so I called the store who said they would take my address off the list. No point telling them your name, as one week you are "Pizza Lover", next week you are "current resident" or some other witisism.
Guess what the following week I get another, so I call the store again and ask when are they going to stop sending me their trash to dispose of (which is basically what it is) and the "manager" basically says he'll send junk mail for as long as he wants.
What an as*h*le! Judging by some of the other views on here it seems that is the typical "Papa John's Experience"
Every other company I have called is happy to remove me from their mailing list, as they realize it's a waste of their time and money. It's just a pity there isn't an equivalent of the "Do Not Call" list for junk mail.

I tried to call the manager, and he said that's company policy. refused to give me his full name and his manager's name. kept making excuses like - I've only been here three weeks and I'm doing what I'm told - but doesn't even know the name of the manager. the delivery guy was also very rude, and literally snatched the money from my hand after I said the pizza is cold.

better ingredients, better pizza, bad service!
I was at Papa John's last night. In the window was a huge "Free Cinnapie" promotion sign. It claims that you can get a free Cinnapie when you buy a large 2-topping pizza. So I went in and ordered a large 2-topping pizza. When my order was complete, there was no Cinnapie. When I inquired about it, they said I had to order "the special" to get that. And since...

On 7/19/08 we ordered pizza online at Papa John's website. The order total was $40.12. I also have an email from Papa John's stating the order total and location of pick-up. Upon arriving for pick-up, my husband was advised that the total was $59 plus change. When my husband questioned why the order total changed, he was told that's what the total is because we had ordered online. My husband advised the employee that he has an email with the proper cost ($40.12) and a local advertisement that also states the same items and pricing info which matched the same items and pricing online. The employee began yelling when my husband said that he wants the price as ordered and my husband asked the rude Papa John's employee for his credit card back. The employee then yelled at him again stating "Thanks, for wasting my time." There were several exchanges of words. My husband left. I called the store owner who said that online prices are from corporate and their system does not accept them. Our problem is, they advertise the prices which were the same on the order, their store window advertises the prices, and their online website also advertises the prices, and even processes orders for the Orland Park location. But whne you arrive to pick up your order, they tell you a different total! They cannot meet the advertised price according to their employees, they say online ordering is a corporate thing. We have the email and all of the information indicating what we were supposed to pay. The rude employee certainly had no reason to yell or to act as though they don't care. It certainly was a horrible and unnecessary experience. They should not be able to conduct business this way.

Since April, Papa John's pizza has cut the ingredients on each pizza by over 50%. Cost cutting measure means that customers often receive bare pizzas with sparse ingredients.
i ordered from papa john's at [protected]. not only was one of the toppings not there but it took them an hour to get here. totally unacceptable!
what a horrible company
I worked for Papa Johns for a long time and you guys should know some of the terrible things that goes on there. All of the complaints I've looked at here are problems that occur all the time and nothing ever gets done about them. Also it has to be the nastiest dirty cheating companyI've ever worked for or even heard of.
No one ever washes their hands, they use expired food well well after its gone bad. The manager I worked for couldn't have had more than a 6th grade education. I am finding it hard to even fit what I want to say into this.
I heard of kids peeing into the sauce. Drug use is very frequent. I've seen the manager give people food poisoning, spit on food, pick up old food from the floor and use it. Constantly uses the bathroom and tells everyone about what she was doing in the bathroom and not ever washing her hands not once.
They screw there employees out of every penny they can, they wont give you any support as in no workers comp, no unemployement insurance, no leave, anything that happens no matter what the circumstance is coming out of your pocket.
If someone gets injured or hurt or in an car accident while delivering they require you to call a special hotline (before calling a doctor or police) So they have a heads up on if they are liable for anything. I actually got yelled at for calling an ambulace before there lawyer hotline. Unbelievable.
What I'm saying is I WOULD NOT EAT THERE EVER. I have years of resturant experience and some places get a bad reputation for no reason. But they deserve one. It caused me a lot mental stress serving that crap to people and charging them like 32$ for 2 pizzas. But they smiled and kept coming back. so whatever.

I was a Manager at a Papa Johns Pizza and some of this is true. They do redate expired product, they do everything in their power to screw their employees, and they make their managers keep the stores under staffed to save money which is why you have the long delivery times.
You sound a little mad about something and are trying to get back at the store... I personally work at a Papa Johns and NONE of the things you are claiming happen...
why were you fired?

Today I had gotten ready to order a pizza from Papa Johns, knowing it was Super Bowl Sunday, we called about an hour before the game to make sure we didn't have to wait too long, after calling our local Papa John's #2196, we were informed that our pizza would be ready in 20-25 minutes. Hearing this, we decided to place our order for one large pizza. Keep in mind that we had ordered this at 6:01PM. (I checked my cellphone records) We ran to McDonalds to get our other food for the night and got to Papa Johns at 6:40, which should had been 20 minutes after our given wait time. I ran in to get my pizza, only to be told that I'd have to wait another 20 minutes. I thought it was kind of ridiculous since I had been told 20 minutes on the phone and had came 20 minutes after that, only to be told to wait another 20 minutes. I let it slide since I saw how busy they were and knew that it was super bowl sunday. After 20 minutes, we we're told to wait ANOTHER 20 minutes. I saw other customers that had also been waiting for a long time, they're orders simply just sitting there, they had to ask the cashiers to check their orders in order to get them! That is ridiculous! After waiting almost 40 minutes for my pizza and being told to wait another 20 minutes, I watched as the cashiers told a man who JUST walked in and placed an order that his pizza would be ready in 20 minutes. They blatantly lied to him knowing that all of us had been waiting for well over 30 minutes for our pizzas that we had ordered over an hour ago! What kind of service is that?! Around 7:40 the cashier to us that our pizza was in the oven and that it'd be ready in 10 minutes. Ten minutes later, guess what? She told us our pizza just got in the oven and would be ready in 10 minutes. It was then that I voiced my complaint and asked for my refund. This was at 7:50.
I understand that today is a very busy day for them but if they would have only told me my ACTUAL wait time (which was almost 2 hours) I would have just decided to cancel and buy from somewhere else. I had even asked before I placed my order how long the wait time was. Did they think that we we're idiots and wouldn't know how long 20 minutes was?! It was the biggest waste of my time, being lied to, to be told that I would have my pizza in 20 minutes, in 20 minutes, in 10 minutes, I was taken as a fool. Worst part is another man that had been waiting there for almost as long as I was had asked about his pizza many many times as he was waiting, only to be told "it's not ready yet". Finally, when I was waiting in line to ask for my pizza the final time, I overheard him asking the girls for his order again only to see the girls check boxes and then congregate to giggle. This is what she told him when he asked her what was so funny, "honestly sir, I don't know where your pizza is. I can't find the pizza, the box, or the label. I really don't know where it is." They tell him this AFTER he had been waiting for almost an hour and after being told "it's not ready yet". This proves that they didn't even LOOK for his pizza the last few times he had asked for them.
This is the WORST service I had ever experienced ANYWHERE. I am a very loyal Papa John's customer too, I have ordered from this Papa John's many times before, usually my order taken by the manager and I always had a prompt and correct answer as to when my pizza would be ready. I don't know if the manager or other workers knew that the girls were telling people that their pizzas would be ready in 20 minutes or not because I HAD heard people in the back saying they were really backed up. When I asked the manager about this, he simply said, "these girls are just teenagers. It is a busy night, it's really hard to differentiate between 20 minutes and 2 hours". Really? What kind of response is this. Would you tell someone that their pizzas would be ready in 20 minutes when you KNOW FOR A FACT that there are almost 10 people in your store waiting for theirs that they had ordered over an HOUR ago!?
Words cannot describe just how upset I am about this, the way I was lied to and taken as a fool. I only got home to barely catch the beginning of the 4th quarter. If I only had been told the correct wait time, I would NEVER have waited. She kept telling me 20 minutes, 20 minutes, pizza is in the oven. I don't know when ANY of that was true. I can assure you that if you called half the customers at this Papa John's, you will get the same complaint. As I was leaving, many of the customers that had been waiting an absurd amount of time told me "you are right ma'am. You are correct. I'm glad you said something". I assure you that I will NEVER be ordering from this Papa John's again.
You forgot that I'm fat too.
Hhhm... okay then?
KixStar has been successfully trolled.
It's getting old though, Irish. The problem is that most of the people who post complaints here are fully functioning adults who just like to whine about stuff.
Irish must have serious mommy/daddy issues. She tries to call everyone a child in every single thread. It's ridiculous.
Maybe when Irish applies for a job she can tell them how successful she was at being the biggest troll in message board history.
Everyone should have stopped at "When Irish applies for a job" since we all know that's not an ACTUAL scenario.
The same happen to me. Order a pizza from Papa Johns too and the girl took the money and went straight for the dough. I got my money back too. I don't play that either.
Really Irish? You're so weird. Do you troll any other sites or just this one?
