I visited Perkins Restaurant during my travels from a family reunion. I originally saw a commercial on TV. The food looked eye appealing. We located the store in Ames. We were greeted properly and seated the same. My problem was in the meatloaf. It was passable at best but basically what you'd expect from a restaurant. I didn't have a problem eating it until...I bit down on something harder than mashed potatoes, gravy or hamburger. Embedded inside my meatloaf was what i thought to be a piece of paper from a restaurant ticket. The manager was called out and proceeded to unfold the paper. He says it was the end off of a sugar package. To my way of thinking neither are ingredients in any meatloaf i've ever made or consumed. He apologized and said all of our desserts were on the house and my meal free. It sad but true... My 1st experience at Perkins will be my last. Finding paper or any foreign object while dining speaks to unclean, unsanitary and unsafe work habits. I will not be returning.
WE STOPPED AT PERKINS IN SCOTTSBLUFF NE. TO MEET WITH SOME FREINDS AND HAD BREAKFAST. FIRST THE COFFEE WAS COLD AND THE QUESTION I HAVE IS (JUST WHAT MAKES PERKINS THINK THAT THEIR COFFEE IS WORTH 2.00 A CUP.) IF THE COFFEE WAS AS GOOD AS MCDONALDS IS THEN IT WOULD BE OK. I HAD A LARGE STACK OF PANCAKES AND WHAT DID I GET FOR 6.00 BUCKS (5 VERY SMALL PANCAKES.. THE SERVICE WAS NOT GOOD HAD TO ASK 3 TIMES FOR SOME SILVER WEAR AND THEN HAD TO ASK FOR MORE COFFEE. I THINK I JUST NOT GO BACK TO PERKINS, IN THE PAST IT WAS GOOD PLACE TO HAVE PANCAKES AND THE SERVICE WAS A LOT BETTER.
P.S.
AT ONE TIME THE PANCAKES WERE AS BIG AS THE PLACE GUESS YOU GOT TO SAVE MONEY SOME WHERE
THANKS
discrimination
On June 9th my family and I entered into The Perkins restaurant in Orlando Fla. We were seated in a small section off to the right of the main seating area.
It was then that I noticed that we were the only Afro-American family in this section. Several other consumers before and after us were seated in the main section. These consumers were all Caucasian.
We were not served or addressed by any of the staff.
Although one waitress did enter into the room grabbed a booster seat and walked out never making eye contact with me. I watched other consumers being attended to by staff through small wooden poles that separated the two rooms.
There were plenty of seating in the main area to accompany my family. I was outraged by this addressed my concerns to the host that seated us and left the Perkins establishment.
Never have I been so humiliated and at the same time angry for myself and my family. My children have never seen the ugly face of discrimination this close up outside of a textbook. They will remember this for a lifetime!
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
The Bradford, Pennsylvania Location of Perkins continually mistreats its employees . Especially the African American ones . I am a Caucasian and I am currently employed there myself . I witnessed managers and co workers making racial slurs and I am disappointed and disgusted.
I placed a to go order in person. I ordered 4 scrambled eggs, 6 slices of bacon and 6 sausage links. It came to $14.20. I waited 35 minutes. The clerk apologized for the long wait and offered me a muffin. The restaurant was not very busy while I was there.
orlando is just a racist place-- there are a lot of ignorant white people that are there closed minded rude and a lot of white trash that works at places like perkins- they dont like minorities

We were down in Rochester Mn., at the Mayo Clinic for about a week last month. I have eaten ate Perkins all over Mn. for years; I will never eat there again, one time things go bad O.K. three times that week we ate there, The service was very slow that night and not that many people there! I just wish the food will come out of the kitchen at least half as good loooking as the picture on the menu! and if it shows a veggie with it that you want at least have enought made to serve it! I had the big plate and it was only half full of food, at least they could have gave a smaller plate so it didn't look so bad! Sincerely,
