Priceline.com hotel room

I bid on a hotel room for Las Vegas thru Priceline. Not knowing what I would get. The hotel they gave me for the price was more expensive than going to the hotel myself. The hotel they gave me also had specials going on, if I went directly to their web site( lots of comps ) which I could not get thru priceline . I called Priceline and they said they will refund some money back to my account to compensate the higher room rate, but I still don't get any comps. :( I called the Hotel, they said that I could not get any comps with the priceline reservation and the girl said that she would never use Priceline herself, because of this type of situation. I have used Priceline many times and was happy with what I got before. This is the last time. Paying more thru Priceline than what's it's worth was not good.

Priceline.com scam

Priceline is a scam. I bid $180 a night for a 4 star hotel in Miami and received a non refundable
non cancellable reservation at the Sonesta Bayfront Hotel. When I searched this hotel on
their website, I discovered that their standard room rate is $180 per night!

I complained to their customer service rep who told me that Priceline does not promise discounted rates. I was told that Priceline only guarantees that you cannot get a refund and you
cannot cancel a reservation under ANY circumstances whatsoever.

I was negotiating the subject airline tickets and only offered $500 each for two (2) tickets. I agreed to choose an alternate date, which I did and accepted. At no time did I authorize more than $500.00 per ticket (except for airport taxes, etc.). When it came back accepted, I noticed the price per ticket was almost $1, 200.00. I called my credit card company and put this on dispute. Please cancel this transaction against my credit card! I was baited and then the price was switched. I will fight this.

In addition to placing this in dispute with my credit card company, I filed complaints with the Attorney Generals' Offices of the States of Louisiana and Ohio and the BBB. Also, I've contacted my attorney and provided him with all correspondence and other information.

They took a bid I made from Corpus to Ft Myers, Florida and switched the departing city to San Antonio without my approval. They claimed that I agreed, but I never did. Because of Priceline's swindling, I paid over $ 200 more than necessary and now have to drive over two hours with a young child and spend hours longer in travel. The flight leaves at 6 a.m. from San Antonio. Priceline is very difficult to reach and in a scripted answer, the "customer service" rep and his supervisor refused to refund even though I NEVER agreed to switch to San Antonio from Corpus Christi.

Priceline.com advantage car rental refused to honor priceline.com price or

I booked a car through Advantage on Semoran and Hoffner in Orlando. It was supposed to be $127 for a week with fees and taxes. They refused to honor this reservation at this price that I booked through priceline.com. I had AARP insurance, they refused to let me take the car out with that. No matter what they insisted that I had to use their insurance. They have Toyotas which are all being recalled. They said that if something went wrong, even if it was under recall by Toyota, the driver was responsible. They gave me the runaround for nearly an hour, complete with computer mistakes, and going to the boss at least 3X, always insisting that I had to take a different car and always trying to jack up the price. Even when a deal was reached they had me sign an agreement, then THEN WITHOUT EVEN TELLING ME, THEY ATTEMPTED TO GET A SECURITY DEPOSIT, DOUBLING THE PRICE OF THE DEAL - ON A DEBIT CARD?

STAY AWAY - FAR AWAY FROM ADVANTAGE. CON MEN AND SCAM ARTISTS.

had the same problem with advantage in cabo san lucas. they put a $1, 700 deposit on my card since they didnt recognize the insurance that priceline sold to me.
then I had to cut my trip short and priceline refused to refund my unused days of insurance. complete [censor].
never ever ever use priceline again!

Priceline.com hipaa regulation violation

My daughter made a reservation for a hotel through priceline. She was unable to keep said reservation due to an accident.
I called priceline to see if she could get a cancellation. The representative told me he would charge her a 25$ fee per night. This was for three nights instead of the 215$ charge. With one stipulation I tell him what hospital she was at and the name of the MD. caring for her so he could call and get information about her and the situation. The hotel had no problem with the cancellation. This to me is a violation of HIPAA and privacy rites. PLEASE do not use priceline if you can avoid it. This is an unlawful practice!

Priceline.com refusal of refund request

I was extremely dissatisfied with priceline on a number of levels. I originally booked a 2 room reservation for the Holiday Inn Soho in NYC, though upon arival the clerk said only 1 room was reserved. Of course this made no sense since we were a party of 6, 2 adults and 4 children. They only had a room with a King bed, obviously unable to accommodate out group. They did have 2 Kings available, but of course would only honor the priceline rate for 1 room, that was not acceptable. I proceeded to check in to the 1 king, and called priceline, who was of NO ASSISTANCE at all. A CSR advised that I go back on-linbe and book the additional room, which I did however the additional room offered was NOT at the Holiday Inn, but at the Marriott 3 miles away, again NOT ACCEPTABLE. Again I called priceline to tell them THEIR idea had not worked very well, and asked that the room at the Marriott be released and my account not charged. Of course they refused to cancel the reservation. My next step was to call the Marriott directly who told me they had no reservation for my party, and that it seemed not to have come through. They too were not very helpful referring me to contact priceline, which I did, AGAIN! offering no service or solution for this problem/error. To summarize I spent the 1st 2 hours of my trip to NYC, with 4 kids in tow on the phone trying to fix this mess, and now to add insult to injury I am being charged for a room I did not use, nor want. I needed 2 rooms at the same property, not 3 miles apart. I am a single Mom who saved to take my children to NYC, for their 1st visit and to see my sister and her children, who I do not get to see very often, and what I experienced is INEXCUSABLE rudeness, UNBELIEVEABLE LACK OF CUSTOMER SERVICE, and TOTAL INDIFFERENCE TO THE SITUATION. Upon my return I have written topriceline.com twice, and have been told in no uncertain terms "not our problem, and no refund will be issued." When I explained it was THEIR CSR that advised me to obtain the 2nd room for the HI Soho online their reply was "you were just unlucky I guess." I cannot afford to be ripped off this, or any amount of money. I am a single (unemployed) Mom trying to raise 2 kids, after their Dad lost his job of 25 years, and has yet to recover financially or emotionally. Between my sister and myself we have now paid over $1230 for 2 nights in NYC on hotels (via priceline) alone. I am a native NY'er and I know NYC is expensive, but @ $615 each I could have stayed somewhere better than HI...but thanks to priceline I OVERPAID FOR A CRUMMY (AT BEST) HOTEL, AND THEY RUINED HOURS OF MY VACATION. Please be advised that I will be sending a copy of this to every newspaper, TV station and news program that I can find. I will not rest until priceline has refunded my money, and they are shown for who they are and how they treat their customers...LOUSY BEYOND WORDS!

Priceline.com Refusal to acknowledge cancellation confirmation number

To whom it may concern:

On December 23, 2009 I was scheduled to stay at the Ramada Inn in Clive, IA, having booked the room through Travelweb.com. The travel confirmation number is [protected]. We called the hotel to cancel as we had decided to travel on due to weather. The hotel told us we would have to contact the third party agent (Travelweb, a division of Priceline) which we did. We were given the cancellation number [protected] and told that a $2.35 fee would be assessed for the cancellation, to which I agreed.

Our card was later charged $49.68 from DPS Ramada, Clive even though we have a cancellation number. The hotel (whom I'm inclined to believe) states that they did not receive any cancellation and, therefore, charged Travelweb for the stay even though we did not arrive. Further, they state that their cancellation numbers are four digits and do not start with a 6. Additionally, they state that any charge originating through them would list "Victory Lodging, Inc." rather than Ramada Inn.

Travelweb states that the reservation is post stay, meaning I don't pay until I check out, rather than prepay, which means they charge me in advance.

Travelweb/Priceline also states that the hotel charged me and I have to take it up with them. The hotel states that Travelweb/Priceline charged me and that I need to take it up with them.
I'll never use Trvelweb or Priceline again.

Travelweb (division of Priceline) is a scam. The booking was a breeze and once they had my credit card information it appears that their service ended there. Mainly, I am currently staying through October 14th, 2015 at the Holiday Inn Express Express Hotel & Suites Dallas West (trip# [protected]) and the purpose of my trip is business for a Texas State University. While it is my fault for having booked with a third party (i.e. Travelweb aka Priceline) and not directly with the hotel ( I needed quick convenient booking online and searched on MapQuest led me to Travelweb - which I did not know at the time) I must say that the service or lack there off from Priceline/Trawelweb is appalling. As I am traveling on business for a State University I have a Texas Hotel Occupancy Tax Exemption Certificate which I attempted to present to the hotel, (as I have done with all my other travel thus far). They of course explained that it was booked through a third party and that I had to contact Travelweb and that they would be happy to work with them if needed. Long story short: was on the phone for 45 minutes with Travelweb/Priceline and they advised me that they do not provide tax exemption. Furthermore, they are unable to provide me with an itemized invoice of my purchase of hotel service (over $550) which would identify what amount of the charges are state taxes, hotel fees and room rates. The fact that they do not have an invoice availability with itemized information regarding what was paid in State Taxes vs. Hotel Fees to me sounds unlawful. I am writing a complaint to the hotel and urging them to remove Priceline/Travelweb as one of their authorized third party companies. I hope that this review will help those individual looking to plan their business travel as quickly and efficiently as possible - IT IS NOT WITH PRICELINE/TRAVELWEB! If you need an itemized hotel invoice for your business offices you will NOT get it as they do not provide it. All you will have is the Summary of Charges you receive upon booking the hotel and you can forget about them providing a service to exempt you from state taxes as it is probably not in their best interest to provide you with this service. Remember all they are out to do is get you to book and enter your credit information - once you have done that there is no going back! As you can see from previous reviews. I strongly AGREE that Priceline/Travelweb is NOT a service provider that values the customer and their overall experience. No repeat business for Priceline/Travelweb from me that is certain.

I am most disappointed with this service. We booked two rooms in Panama City, Fla for my granddaughters cheer competition, I booked it in August for November. we found out on September 23rd that the competition was cancelled, so I tried cancelling the rooms, they said they couldn't. That is the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard of. Our hard earned money gone. They charged me at the time I booked it. The reservation was for November. I was given a different phone number each time I talked to someone. I asked who else could I talk to, they said there was no one else to talk to about this. Their customer service stinks. NEVER use them, you'll loose your money! They should be ashamed taking people's money.

Had similar experience with TravelWeb.net booking.
thouhgt we were dealing directly with Days Inn Vancouver Ariport at a quoted price of $82 plus tax. we were Ok with that.
Assumed we would be charged when we go tot the hotel as we had been in the past.

BUt when our Master Card statement came, we had already been charged for both dates in advance. 6 weeks before the actual stay dates, and in US funds and for more than we thought. We very disappointed in Travel Web and will be VERy careful NOT to book with them again.

Should have thought something was up as the fellow on line asked our last name at least 10 timea s as he could not get the spelling right. Live and learn!

Booked a room for a Nevada hotel and was charged immediatly for it, which is unheard of. Tried changing the date online and thought it happened only to find out it was a no reply email. The customer service number gives you a dead end with no person to work with and says to contact the hotel if a problem. Stuff it we got the money. It also says that if you cancel they will charge you for it. Guess what they did that before the date of arrival. This needs to be spread throught the country. everyone get on your facebooka and any communication tools you have and get these frauds out of business or up for fraud.

WATCH OUT! Priceline has the "bait and switch" scenario downpat! Following is my letter to Priceline management and why I sent it.

Dear Priceline Management:

I am EXTREMELY disappointed in Priceline and can promise you that I have no desire to use your services again unless some proper action is taken to correct a Priceline error.
I purchased tickets (which CLEARLY say First Class Flights) from New Orleans to Bali, Indonesia via LA and Taiwan, yet when I went to choose seats, it would only give me Economy seat selection. I emailed your customer service dept before confirming and received a response which told me to pick a seat and then call the airlines to make a first class selection. This I did and Delta told me that I had not purchased first class tickets (even though my paperwork says I did and your customer service verified...Angela). Delta told me I needed to call you guys and have it corrected as the ticket purchase was thru your site.
I spent 56 minutes and 3 transfers on the phone with your "customer service and supervisors" and was finally told that for YOUR mistake the only thing they could do was cancel me with a full refund. Why would I want to do that and take a chance on NOT being able to travel on my selected dates. I have since found on line that several people feel that you "count on them not wanting to cancel for fear of not being able to get a flight on their travel dates". I even offered to email or fax my paperwork and email response from Priceline, to your customer service so that they could see what I was seeing. I was told "no, you are absolutely correct, we see that it was offered as first class flight, however you were given economy". I chose your site because I was offered a specific fare and seating at a specific price. You sold me something different. In this country that is called bait and switch and it is illegal. I chose to keep my reservation rather than take a chance on losing my travel dates. I am very disappointed and sad that Priceline has sunk to this level. All you had to do was honor what you sold. Tsk, tsk.
Unfortunately, as a frequent international and domestic traveller, it is my responsibility, to my friends and family that travel, to make sure that they are aware of this incident. I was even more alarmed when I began checking the internet to find that this is most definitely NOT an isolated case. What is even more important...I kept my cool, never used foul language, agreed to repeated transfers and holds, and did it all with ease and grace hoping that you all would do the right thing; you should have upgraded the seats at the cost that you sold them to me. You still didn't...:(
As a manager and business owner, myself, when I or someone on my team makes an error or makes a grave customer service mistake, I want to know about it and then take proper measures to correct and thereby deflect a marketing nightmare. I am hoping that, as managers, you all feel the same way. Here's your chance.

Unaware I booked a Days Inn room through Travel Web. I thought it was a Days Inn site. THe gentleman on the phone took forever to "book" the room for one night. He told me it could not be cancelled. Later I realized it was not the city in which I intended to stay so I called Days Inn to see if I could change the exact room, exact day to another city. THey said I had to call Travel Web and speak with them that they did not book it.
So I called Travel Web, explained it to the girl on the phone and then she looked up the reservation and said it was non refundable, non changeable. I thought this was ridiculous. THey are still getting their money but they refused to change it.
So, be aware when you book through these companies.

Priceline.com unsolicited phone calls

I was repeatedly receiving unwanted solicitation calls Wyndham Vacation Resorts, even after I asked them to remove my phone numbers from their call lists. They were calling on both my cell and home phone. I couldn't figure out where they got the information until I happen to go to Priceline.com and saw their advertising. I checked my profile and sure enough, both those numbers had been given to Priceline.com when I bid on Airline Tickets. I wrote several emails to Priceline.com requesting the contact Wyndham Vacation Resorts and have my number removed. They never denied selling it to them, they just repeatedly told me the could not contact them to remove my numbers.

Damage Resulting = Nuisance, Nuisance Nuisance calls every day on both my phone numbers. Priceline sold my personal information to Wyndham Vacation Resorts without my permission.

Priceline.com overcharged for hotel rooms

I booked a package deal (airfare and hotel) in April, for a Christmas trip. Upon check in on 12/23/09, I was told that the "no advance purchase, no promotional rate, NO PRICELINE rate" would have been $1164.14 LESS than the price that I paid through Priceline. Five attempts to resolve this price discrepancy through Priceline were ignored. Their supposed "best price guarantee" is only good for 24 hours after you book your package.
SAVE YOURSELF FRUSTRATION AND THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS BY NOT USING PRICELINE!

Priceline.com crooks

After checking out rates of hotels in Erie, PA with various travel websites (including Priceline standard booking site), I chose to use the "Name Your Own Price" option (which is prominently thrust in your face at every turn on Priceline.com). When prompted for the "# of Adults", I entered "2" since I have 2 adults and 2 children in our family. After submitting a bid for a hotel room for our vacation, I saw that my bid was accepted and a reservation was made at a hotel chain THAT ONLY HAS 1 BED PER ROOM.

I immediately verified this on the hotel website and called Priceline Customer DisService. They explained that the reservation could not be changed. I would have to check with the hotel to see if they could accommodate my reservation and if not, I was to call Priceline back for a change.

I called the hotel. They had just received the reservation electronically (took about 20 minutes). They confirmed that they did not have any rooms in the hotel that could accommodate my family. They told me they could not cancel the reservation. Priceline would have to do it. So I called Priceline back (as previously instructed).

Imagine my surprise and disappointment to learn that I was now stuck with a 1 bed hotel room for my family of 4 (2 adults, 2 children). I asked, pleaded, etc. with both Customer DisService and a Customer Relations "Specialist" neither of who could assist me. I was given a case # and directed to file a complaint on their website. I filed a complaint with their VP of Customer DisService.

The next day, I received a call back from "Ryan", an "executive officer" of Priceline. He proceeded to explain to me that they could not change their policy. It was a "contract" that could not be changed (even though the hotel room had not yet been occupied; my vacation was still 4 days away). After arguing my case (even offering to spend more money with them to take a reservation in another Priceline-serviced hotel)and explaining how dissatisfied I was with their "customer service", I told them that they had lost a customer for life. I also told them I would warn as many others as I can to NEVER USE PRICELINE.COM.

Be Forewarned - their practices border on deceitful and their "customer service" is NON-EXISTENT.

RUN AWAY AS QUICK AS YOU CAN FROM THESE CROOKS.

I was looking for an inexpensive get a way for my kids because since Im a returning college student, I hae not had the opportunity to take them on a vacatio. I decided to take them to downtown Atlanta area and stay in a hotel for the weekend and enjoy local attractions. I specifically wanted a hotel that had a pool was kid friendly. Well Iwent online filled out a profile along with my credit card information because of course it will not let you do anything without that inforation. Long story short, after putting in information it began its "search" and gave me one hotel, no ammenity information and of course because my credit card info was already taken, it charged my credit card immediatley! I called customer service to explain I wanted accomodations with a pool and thatI was willing to bid more and they would not budge. They almost sounded like freakin robots by saying" Im sorry mam but we cannot change or cancel reservations." I explained that we were specifically needing accomodations with pool and they didnt seem to cae one way or the other! Im done with Priceline and hope they burn in hell!

I too got the blown off by Priceline, I was a strong supporter of Priceline for the last 8 years until now. I spent over $400 for tickets for Disneyland Park in Anahiem and was sent a voucher to use. It states right on the voucher word for word" Voucher may be redeemed for the Disneyland Parks. Voucher will be required for redemption. The Guest Services told me they dont have any info on their system regarding my tickets for admission to the park. They check a total of six times and nothing, even the manager tryed and still nothing.

So I have to turn to my 7 year old son and tell him we flew over 3000 miles to Disneyland and cant go in the gate because our "Priceline Voucher " is not valid . All priceline can say is we can get back to you in 7days with a answer to why the voucher is not valid. Luckly I am a parent who has the financil means to dish out another $460 dollars to enter the park, but what about the families who don't have this fianancial mean, could you imagine. Shame on you Priceline!

So they get back to me 5 days later and blow me off saying I purchased tickets through them (Priceline) that are non-refundable and its my problem not theirs. Is it me or am I in the wrong, you got to be kidding me Priceline. Believe me the fight is not over, you have picked the wrong family to blow off and STEAL my 7 year old sons money, are you kidding me!

Priceline.com disability discrimination and misrepresentation of services

Priceline "upgraded" us to Inlet Tower Hotel in Anchorage, which is supposed to be a 3 stars- in the class of Sheraton or Hilton according to their rating system. They (priceline) misrepresented the quality and amenities of this smelly, dirty, poorly renovated flop house. They advertise on their website that there is a pool, there is not (see link at bottom). Nor was there room service, secure parking, any unfrayed upholsery in the lobby or room, nor sanitary conditions present. I have pictures, lots of them! I would like someone to explain to me what the Priceline's criteria is for a 3 star hotel. I've asked them in writing, and on the phone. I've received an autorespsonse to my email, but no one has followed up. Apparently Priceline's 3 star rating does not concur with any known travel guide.
I contacted priceline immediately after they had booked us. I let the representative know about the gross misrepresentation of services and about our physical disabilities that made staying at that hotel a problem. After more than an hour they said there was nothing they- or I- could do about it. The representative was smug, and he was laughing at us. In my experience thus far- no one at priceline really cares whether the room is any good, if the rating really fits, if your disabilities are accomodated, or if their customers are happy.
Pictures don't lie.

There was ice built up inside the windows and drafts strong enough to blow out a candle(we froze our butts off), mildew and missing tiles in the bathroom, frayed wires, whit-ish mystery stains of probable biologic origin dribbled and smeared on every flat surface (it looked like someone dribbled donut glaze and smeared it around), frayed wires, stains, dirt, cigarette burns, mildew, pungent smells, and poor renovation with missing molding and tile throughout. The only open electrical outlet was up high on a wall with no table, or in the bathroom.
Construction next door began around 7:30 AM. I had a magnificent view of the construction porto-potties, though the Priceline Inlet Suites Hotel ad said that all rooms had a beautiful view. We sat on towels and were afraid to take our socks off. The tub was beyond disgusting, with a soap ### ring and mildew aroud the handles, but we couldn't have used the oversized tub anyway because of our physical disabilities (the sides came up to my butt). We are physically unable to perform the type of gymnastics necessary to use that sort of tub without injury, as there was no step or seat in the tub. Both my wife and I are on antibiotics now because the frosty conditions in the room made us ill.
The front desk clerk was friendly and sympathetic to our issues, but was unable to switch us rooms. He (Scott) stated that they are chronically understaffed by management unless the owner was coming in. He said that there were only 3 desk clerks rotating 24/7, and that he wished it were different and he could do something for us. He encouraged me to fill out a complaint card, which no one has yet responded to.

Many people who stayed there in December were as unhappy as I was, and posted similar complaints. priceline is obviously aware that this hotel is not up to standards, and does not care. What they don't realize is that their reputation is suffering because o their lack of humanity. In the end, they'll go under, because being the customer, we always have the choice to use someone else. I hope they take this opportunity to correct these deficits in their rating system.

Step 2: Please notice the profitability, even during this recessionary period; it's the EPS column. Also, notice its growth over the past few years.

Step 3: Realize you're wrong, and it's not that they don't care, but it's just that individually, you represent an insignificant percentage of their business. Furthermore, while the room was clearly sub-par, this is precisely what you paid for. The optional fourth step here would be to read their fine print, and realize exactly what your agreeing to as the terms of purchase. Fundamentally, you're practically agreeing that a broom closet in the hotel would be acceptable; you have no leverage with regard to room types or quality, and that explains their low low prices.

Priceline.com booked hotel in wrong city

I used Priceline to book a three-star hotel for a one night stay in Appleton, WI, for 12/24/09. You must enter your credit card information before seeing the specific hotel Priceline booked for you, and the cost is non-refundable. I have no issue with this premise, since it is understood that one is sacrificing the certainty of a specific hotel in exchange for a reduced price. I entered an offer for $52 including all applicable taxes and fees.

The problem is that Priceline booked a hotel in the WRONG CITY, not the city I specified when I made my offer. I had an issue with this and contacted Priceline immediately, expecting them to either refund my money or book the hotel in the city indicated. They refused to do either.

According to Priceline, the city in which they booked the hotel is considered "in the city area" because "it is in our shaded city area on our map". The city, Neenah, WI is 22 miles and two cities away from where I'm visiting family in Appleton, WI. Had I wanted a hotel in Neenah, I'd have made an offer for a hotel in Neenah. Nowhere on the Priceline site does Priceline make any full and fair disclosure of a map indicating a "zone" that they, and only they, deem acceptable.

Priceline insists there is nothing they can do for me. I have appealed to them on every angle, but the bottom line is they billed my credit card (bank debit card) and they offer no recourse. I have decided to fight them on my own terms by contacting local media and the state consumer protection agency.

Any advice on how to handle this unconscionable company would be greatly appreciated.

Priceline.com name your own price - priceline - rip off

Priceline has very bad service. When it comes to name your own price, what you are not told is that they actually pick the times for you. I did not know before wasting $300.00 that you do not have a chance to select morning or evening flights. As I waited for the screen to change, my credit card was processed.

Since this was my first time, I thought that I could call and just get the times changed. No one in customer service was wiling to work with me. The first gentleman that I talked to offered me to pay $100.00 to change the time. I advised him that I did not have the extra money. He replied "Mam.. I am so sorry, the disclosure tells you that you cannot make changes. But I replied that the disclosure does not tell you that you will not get a chance to select morning or afternoon. I understood that the exact time would not be given, but if you have the chance to select late afternoon or early morning.. you can work with the schedule given.

Long story short .. I lost $300, Customer service nor any of the other departments wanted to work with me. "Keep in mind my friends... I never once asked for my money back"! When I asked to speak to a manager the customer service rep also told me that they do not have managers. What kind of operation is that!

My friends " Never Utilize Priceline" It is a big rip off !

Priceline.com "name your own price" rip off

While I've had satisfactory results from using Priceline.com in general, it wasn't the case when I opted for their "Name Your Own Price" deal when I recently booked a hotel room for a one-night stay. I clearly stated that I needed two beds in the room as I was not travelling alone to a football game out of town. At the time I booked, I wasn't sure if it would be my daughter or a friend travelling with me. On my second attempt, I got the price I requested (which was actually what I had been seeing in the ads). It was $45, but taxes, etc., brought the cost of the room to $61, plus I paid a $5 insurance fee. You cannot imagine my horror when I got to the hotel and found that the room had only one king-size bed! I was with a friend, but even if it had been my daughter, we would not have wanted to share a bed. It was embarrassing and the hotel had no other rooms available! I called Priceline and they told me the small print on the contract stated I could end up with any bed accomodation from singles to a king. Obviously, had I known this, I would have gladly paid another $20 or $30 to get what I wanted. It was very awkward as I didn't know if my friend thought I was trying to hit on her! LOL -- two senior females!
I thought Priceline should have been more straightforward in what their offer included. If you're travelling alone, this would work, but it sure didn't work for me! I ended up on a very uncomfortable cot for the night!

Priceline.com voucher / bonus cash scam

Beware of bonus cash from Priceline... I chose Priceline over other sites at first because they offered 2 nights of hotel voucher. However, you need to be very careful because the instructions are not included when you book your hotel. I expected the bonus cash discount to be taken off the Name Your Own Price total, but NO... that's not how it works. I wish they had instructions on the booking page, but they don't. I called customer service to explain the situation, how I ended up paying more then I would have if I had booked from the hotel directly even AFTER using the voucher. To my surprise, they are not doing anything about it... the website stole my voucher and I end up having to pay more because of all the service fees that they charge... SCAM

Priceline.com bait and switch fraud

So I just went to book a car rental on Priceline.com. I was quoted a price of 101.68, which I was fine with and agreed to. I clicked "confirm" and was led to the second page, which said, sorry, but it's 260.39. When I called them to try to fix it, their answer was this: "Well, we just didn't make the reservation at all, so it's ok." I didn't get an e-mail telling me that the reservation didn't go through, or anything. So why bother giving an confirmation number, etc. This gave the impression that not only did they complete the reservation, but they did so at more than twice the originally quoted cost. I asked them to simply match the orginal cost, and they refused. I talk to their initial customer service representative, Victor, and then finally to apparently "the highest court" representative, Ellen, who still refused to do anything.

I bid on a Hotel at the Denver Aiport. Priceline made a reservation at a hotel 15 miles from the airport. I objected as there are a dozen hotels clustered with in 3 miles of the airport. Priceline response is that "their teams opinion is that it is in the Denver Airport area."
I refused to stay at the hotel. Priceline refuses to credit my credit card which they have charged. I am an attorney and retired circuit judge. If they continue to bill my credit card I am going to file a law suit and let the judge deceide if 15 miles is in the area.

Priceline.com a terrible scam company

Me and my husband we were trying to buy tickets for family vacation.
We dont know what happened, just in one second, "The price was accepted" that was poped up!
My hus said he was writing a big money in the blank box for fun.
But he didnt push "buy my ticket now" button at all!(why he would click it!)
That was too much for us. We couldnt afford it. We were so sad to pay that amount money.
They already took the money from account. (Such a quick job)
So we called customer service, but that didnt help at all. Pretty much they kept saying, "In this case, We cant give any refund" OMG!
After several big argument, he crumbled the paper to meke rough sound and hung up!
What the! I couldnt belive what they did to us. And we talked to other person, he said there is a humble discount for cancellation! I guess he doesnt know what 'humble' means!
whatever that costs 100$ per ticket! so we paid 400$ for the trip even we didnt go!
If somebody wanna book a flight ticket from this company, I wanna tell them dont make stupid decision
like us!

Priceline is not some game playing site, once you are logged in with all the credit card info in place, you shouldn't be playing with "My Own Price" link. you filled up all the info, entered a huge number, what fun are you getting at it in the final screen?

Sometimes pressing enter would submit the form, you don't have to click the button by mouse. Without your attending you must have somehow pressed it. Priceline is a seriuos site, its no game. So you better be seriuos while playing with the site. The rules are clearly mentioned, its not cancellable or refundable.

Priceline.com deceptive advertising

I made a hotel reservation at 10:30 a.m. PST. On the web page it clearly stated that there was no cancellation fees or charges. I called at 2:30 p.m. PST to just change the hotel and was told that I had to do it the day before or I was going to be charged for the rate. I don't knwo how you cancel a reservation teh day before you made it. After talking to two "customer service " repressentatives, I received no satisfaction whatsoever. They never disputed the web site at all. The last representative told me to write their customer service department which I did. I received an auto reply saying that I was being charged. All this when all I wanted to do was change hotels. Now I would never recommend or use this company again. This is deceptive advertsising at it's best.

Priceline.com hidden parking charge for hotel rate

I booked a room on priceline.com. After getting what I thought was a good rate, I called the hotel directly and learned that parking overnight would be $27 on top of the priceline rate. I called priceline and attempted to cancel the reservation but priceline informed me that no refunds would be issued under any circumstances. It appears to be impossible to reverse any reservation made through priceline. Even my credit card company claims they can not dispute fees with priceline.

Moral of the story- Do not use priceline.com for hotels/motels without first checking with the actual motel for possible hidden fees not negotiated with Priceline. Do not change your plans, or become ill after using priceline. This company has instructed its employees to give NO leeway under any circumstances.

Did the price offer say it included parking? If not, why on earth would you expect parking to be included. Parking is almost never included, especially if the parking lot/garage is owned and/or operated by an outside company. Did the price say food included? Would you expect to dine in the restaurant and not pay? Travel Much?

Priceline.com scam on on-line flight reservation

Priceline.com has charged my credit card for over $3000 in disputed, I would argue fraudulent, charges. On June 27, 2009, my credit card company alerted me to the fact that instead of 3 tickets (for a trip I made abroad with my family), I had been charged for 6. Upon further inquiry, I discovered that Priceline.com had charged my credit card accounts for 3 plane tickets connected with Flight Request #[protected]. The funny thing is, I never made this Request, and I never received any notification e-mail from Priceline.com of having made such a request!

In the past, I had submitted three other Flight Requests through Priceline.com to purchase tickets on-line. They were not accepted, and they were listed as unaccepted (as shown via the "MyTrips" page in the attached photo). As the attached photo shows, there is no showing of Request #[protected]! Also, as the photo indicates, the Requests actually made, on the "same date" as Priceline.com claims, are drastically different. Given the fact that these Request Numbers progress chronologically, Priceline.com's claim that the Request was made on the same day makes absolutely no sense.

Its Customer Relations Department contends that I made the request on the same day, 6/27/09 with other attempted requests. However, the request in question is not shown anywhere on my Online Profile alongside other, legitimately made Flight Requests. The number in question is #[protected]. As you can see, it does not appear on the MyTrips portion of my page. Nevertheless, Priceline.com has persisted in charging me over $3, 000 in conjunction with this purported Flight Request!

Moreover, the Customer Relation's staff does not seem to care about this complaint. So far, they have not responded in any meaningful way to my submitted complaint.

Priceline.com says that because a Flight Request, bearing this number, exists somewhere in its system, that is what counts. I am responsible for the charges, regardless of the fact that I never purchased, or even knew, about this Flight Request!

The matter remains in dispute. I sincerely hope that Priceline.com will remove this disputed charge from my account. But in the meantime, it is an uphill struggle with Priceline.com's Customer Relations Department.
