Progressive Casualty Insurance Auto Insurance

I have had thee worst experience with Progressive Insurance, they constantly mess up my account, keep adding people in my home that don't live there after telling them several times, customer service is rude as heck, and i have the same issue when it's time to renew and it takes them about 8 to 10 irate phone calls to fix it. Every time i called i get told different things then they can never find the information i send in, one person see's it then the next person can't find it. Customer service is all over the place, currently on the phone as i am writing this and the rep can't seem to find my documentation that was sent on the 19th of July it is now the 26th i was told it would take 24 to 48 hours it'll be a week on the 28th. I keep being asked to send in the same documents over and over and over and over and over, why? Again same thing when i got the policy, they want to take your money but don't want to provide the service that you are paying for, I want this issue resolved immediately because these reps have no more times to be rude to me because their stuff isn't in order. I want to take this complaint as high as possible because i'm not receiving any result.

Desired outcome: I would like my policy to be fixed and not have to go through this every time.

Progressive Casualty Insurance Response time to a key locked in the car

On July 21, 2021 between 11:30 am and 12:00 pm, I put in a request to Progressive to send someone out to unlock my car, as I had my keys and phone locked in the car at Sam's Club fuel island on 54th Street in Chandler, AZ. The temperature was about 107 degrees and I am an 74 year old women. They took my information and said it would be about an hour. I called back after a hour and a half (1:30 pm) and was told that per there information it would be 11 minutes. They informed me that they would send a text to my phone when the were close, I again informed them the my phone was locked in the car and I was on a borrowed phone the gentlemen allowed me to give them his phone number, they never sent a text. I continued to wait, at 3:00 pm I call again as was told there was no ticket for my problem. I then needless to say went off, they said the would expedite the new ticket that they issued. I called my grandson to get my spare key he had to leave work and drive 20 miles each way. To have to wait over 4 hour in the heat and have someone leave from work is totally unacceptable, why do I have roadside assistance

Desired outcome: Would like to have Progressive informed and some type of complaint filed against their subcontractor

Progressive Casualty Insurance Salvaging a title without telling the owner of the vehicle

I was in an accident. Progressive's customer was at fault. It was a hit and run. I waited past the 30days to get a check to have my car repaired. They did sent me a check and I got my car fixed, however they salvaged my title and did not tell me. I found out months down the road when I had to renew my registration. I complained to the Louisiana Insurance Commissioner and Progressive and Progressive lied and said they told me. I never thought that Progressive would treat people like this. I understand if you have to salvage a car, but you must let the customer know. Allowing your reps to get away with this shows that you are a company that cannot be trusted.

Desired outcome: I had to pay $337 to get a reconstructed title and now the value of the car is less

Progressive Casualty Insurance My personal claim for body damage

I am fully insured with Progressive Insurance and have been for about a year and a half. I am in the process of trying to get my vehicle repaired and I have rental coverage. I had been set-up with a rental vehicle but when I contacted the rental provider they said they had the reservation but no vehicle available. That did not make sense to me so I contacted Progressive, waited on hold for 25 minutes only to be told by the representative - That is odd. I was put only hold another 10 minutes only to be informed that there were in fact all called for so me reservation meant nothing! The representative then told me he would get something set up and call me back. I told him I could not answer my phone at work so he said he would leave me a message. The message he left was not that I had a reservation, he was given me availability for the rental vehicles. It was late in the day on Friday so clearly I was unable to do anything about this until the following Monday.

So I am now on my second week of driving a damaged vehicle. I have a second job driving for Lyft in order to make ends meet but I cannot drive from them with my vehicle in the current condition. I called on my lunch break again, this time speaking to 6 different representatives because I was being transferred to the wrong departments. When I did get to "my claims rep." she was clearly annoyed with the fact that I was upset and did everything she could to upset me even more. When I asked for her name, she said "let me spell it for you" and hung up on me.

I called back immediately to customer service to have my policy canceled - you company obviously does not want to pay out claims to their customers so why would I bother continuing to pay. The lady I spoke with was very nice, she said I could have asked to speak with a supervisor - told her i did ask this but was told it was take 24-48 hours to get a call back, she said that was not correct. She then wanted to transfer me to Claims Support - are you joking! How many times do I need to get transferred only to be told the company I pay for insurance coverage will not help me.

At this point, I just want my claim paid out to me and I will figure out how to pay for a rental vehicle on my own! I will be canceling my insurance as of 7/16/21 once I get paid again and can afford another extra expense due to Progressive Insurance.

Progressive Casualty Insurance Auto crash responsibility

I own a towing company and progressive took responsibility for the crash that the other party was involved in. They paid the owner of the car and when they found out the auto was completely burned to the ground they refuse to pay the towing company or pick up burned auto. They knew the car was at a tow lot and will not take responsibility of the bill. I'm going to try this route if it doesn't work this way I will file suit with my attorney for three times the damages.

Desired outcome: PAY THE BILL

Progressive Casualty Insurance Accident Claim

I was involved in a car accident were the other party is at fault and insured with progressive insurance. So far the the adjuster that handles the medical part of this claim has informed me that all medical bills are not paid in full. They have a third party company that tells them what a charge should be. So I have been told without even a offer
To expect not to get bills from accident to be paid in full. They adjuster refuses to tell me or give any idea how they arrive at a amount. In my opinion I have been lied to mislead made to feel like a criminal so Progressive Insurance can save money at my cost. They take advantage of people telling them flat out lies. This company has excepted full liability of my claim according to them but it's at their discretion what is covered you have no say. So a bill means nothing. Absolutely worst company I have ever dealt with. The only way to recover it seems is through a Atty. I will contact the trade commission about the blatant dishonesty and misleading statements that you have no choice but to except what they say. I see no way to work with a company that tells you the way it is you have no say. Again the other party is totally at fault. You have no say in what is charged by them for insurance coverage the bill is the bill. Yet according to adjuster they decide not what bill says. You have no say. I would like to think the adjuster was just not able to explain but after speaking to his boss it was even worst. She indirectly called me a criminal The worst is the dishonest comments !

Desired outcome: Ability to send claim in without being threatened lie to or bullied

Progressive just gets progressively worse at everything…. They mislead you on premiums and accident history - initially saying they only use 3 years of data, then on renewal they suddenly use 5 years of data. They say they have 2 years to settle a claim, but this is not true on catastrophic claims. The actually told me to put my keys and title in my vehicle and they would tow my vehicle to the auction yard in another town (35 miles away) to be assessed); really? NOOOOOOO, you are not taking my paid for vehicle without handing me a check first. NOOOOO, You are not taking my title to an auction facility. And, YES, the Attorney General will hear about your shady business practices this week!

Yes, the ruined your reputation. Slanderous [censored].

Progressive Casualty Insurance crass behavior / non immediacy of claims rep

I take care of an 85 year old who needs feed on a regular basis. After having an accident that wasn't my fault I was left without a car. The next morning I called to get immediate help with a rental. The claims rep is Daniel Szalewski, and I am hoping that I can speak with a different claims rep who can get me a rental immediately.

Unacceptable behavior and professionalism with this claim, and this has happened in the past.

I am asking for a supervisor to call me IMMEDIATELY

Desired outcome: CAR RENTAL NOW

Progressive Casualty Insurance auto insurance representative

I had recently gotten in an accident on 02/13/21 with one of your customers who was insured with progressive that happened in fargo, ND. I am filing a complaint with how the representative ( Devon Brakke ) treated me when getting details about the accident that occur. I was not happy with him when he kept asking the same questions like he was trying to make me second guess myself on what happened to make it my fault. When i called him out on asking the same question he acted like he didn't understand or was confused when he knew exactly what i was talking about. He also asked me what the make and model was of the other car, for one its on the insurance claim you get and two that is the last thing I am thinking about when I get into an accident. I am not a fan of how you guys do shady business to make it look like the other person was at fault when they were not. I work in customer service and trust me i won't be recommending anyone to you guys. I am appalled at how you treat others.

Filed a claim sept 1st 2021, My car was declared a total loss. My 2017 toyota Camry was valued at 16, 064 dollars minus my 1k deductible. I agreed to that then my claims re came back to say minus the 2600 i owe finance. I asked what about my loan / lease payoff. uhhh she said oh your not upside down on your loan so it doesn't pay anything. so why am i paying for something that doesn't apply to me i asked. so said thats not her dept i need to call progressive. so i did, well i spoke to two different progressive agents and the both told me the same thing that no matter what the loan/lease payoff would cover 25% of the cash value of my car even did the math for me, then called my claims agent to explain it to her only to get hung up on. so now i'm here with no car, no money and no complaint dept. i guess i'll have to write the state dept of finance.

Progressive Casualty Insurance Failure to respond to claim

Re: 20-1829001 or 20-2738106

Good evening.

On August 11, 2020, the fence surrounding my home was destroyed due to an accident involving a Progressive Insured. The accident caused the driver to fly and flip over on our fence knocking portions of it off while leaving others in need of repair. The incident was reported and I was informed that someone would contact me. Over 1 month passed before I decided to send an email on September 16th to complain that no one had contacted us. I immediately received a call apologizing and was referred to a different gentlemen who asked I send additional pictures and assured me that someone would be contacting us. It is now 2 months since the incident occurred and neither the original rep nor the adjuster assigned have communicated with me.

I sent this email today along with an attached estimate in hopes of getting a response and take care of this situation.

Shortly after having sent the previous email with concerns regarding the response from your representatives on a claim filed on August 11, 2020. I received a phone call requesting that I submit additional pictures and was assured someone would be contacting us to follow up. 60 days have passed since this incident involving your insured which caused damages to our home.

I am extremely disappointed with the level of service we have received by not one but two of your representatives. In addition, we have received 2 different claim numbers and aren't able to obtain information on either one.

The negligence has caused our home to have further damages due to recent winds which caused additional damage to our fence. In addition, our yard has remained exposed to the public for two months and we lack the privacy and security due to this.

We have contacted a local company to assist with the repair and they have begun dismantling the fence since we feared it would cause additional accidents. We are asking that you provide us with the amount included on the attached estimate to finalize, repair, and install the fence and entry ways.
In addition, we will pursue filing the complaint as shared in the previous email over 3 weeks ago.

Be Blessed!

Progressive Casualty Insurance commercial auto / transportation business

Hello Progressive,

I have have my two personal trucks I own on auto policies with Progressive Insurance.

I have recently signed with your commercial insurance for my small grass roots transportation business that I started 16 yrs ago. We have 12 employees and have customers at this point were serving the grandchildren. We are a hometown business that have brushed next to famous people, and we have made contacts and great life long friendships in the past years.

I wrote a check for $18, 000.00 to start our policy. 20 days later they cancel us (cant say the reason of cancellation, it's top secret info) and leave us high and dry, did not see a cancellation letter until the end of December 2019, and left us with no insurance to operate without any warning. I hope the CEO finds this story interesting because I will get in touch with this man. I have the names of individuals who had their hand hand in this what I call "a group of people who like to put families on the street" and damage everyone around them. Shame on you Progressive, Flo would be upset if she heard this also.

[protected] is my direct phone number if your group would like to resolve this manner.

Scott A Davis, President of Priority Shuttle Transportation Inc.

Progressive Casualty Insurance pace arrow motorhome claim

We totalled our pace arrow mh in Mena Ark 10-16-19- have been corresponding with progressive for a month trying to get satisfaction on the loss. The adjuster never showed up the week we waited for him in a hotel room, and we finally had to rent a uhaul to tow our motorcycle home. After much paperwork and emails, we drove to humble and got our check for the Motor home.. we are very very displeased with Progressive.

We had just installed two new 15k btu a/c as an upgrade to the ones on the mh, and the wiring and everything that had to be done to accommodate the a/c- we had a onan generator and full take of gas and propane on board. The MH was at a salvage yard in Mena but the adjuster never showed up in Mena while we were there, he came 2 days after we were already back in houston.

We went today to collect the meager check they allotted us for the mh and the lady at the progressive office had Mr. Burnette sign off on the title and the mileage. The photo she showed us of the mileage was a false photo. It showed 118, 458 miles and was a photo of an LED read out from an odometer - our mh did NOT have LED read out, it was digital and we only had 69, 410 miles on it... there is no way the adjuster could read the odometer as the dashboard was demolished. - The pic he took of the odometer was not our motorhome,
that fact alone assures us that the amount the have given us for the motorhome is short buy thousands of dollars. His carelessness of the fact of the odometer leads me to believe that he did not inspect the motorhome interior as well as he should have. The salvage yard had the keys to the MH and they told us the adjuster never came.
The trailer we hauled the motorcycle in was towable but the right fender was ripped off and same was relayed to Ms. Ward at progressive. The only reason we used progressive is because I have been a 35 yr member of USAA and they recommended progressive. We have 2 motorcycles insured with progressive but will be changing and have bought a new RV but will not be using progressive.

Progressive Casualty Insurance my policy

I am incredibly upset with my recent interaction with Progressive Insurance. My husband and I were sent a letter that our policy was not going to be renewed unless we called and provided them with proof of residency. We were sent the letter on October 31st for our policy that was set to expire on November 3rd. We immediately (Oct 31 ) called and began the process sending the necessary documents. We were told that it would take time for them to receive the documents but that our policy would be retroactive for November 1st, since it was being worked on. Over the course of 4 days, we were told over and over again to call back and check on the status. I continued to do this until this morning when they said to wait 3 more hours and that as soon as the documents uploaded, they could renew our policy with the click of a button. During our final call we were told that they did FINALLY receive the documents I sent 300 times but now they cannot renew it because it expired. WHAT? I was clearly told it would be retroactive and I am disgusted with how I was cast aside and lied to throughout this entire process. I was made to jump through hoop after hoop yet I was still left having to start over. The lack of professionalism and customer care was atrocious. I will not ever recommend Progressive to anyone. Worst experience I could imagine. I hope you remedy this for other clients as it is absolutely unacceptable for a company to treat its clients.

Progressive Casualty Insurance claim management

November 1, 2019

Progressive Mountain Insurance Company
Claim Representatives: Ms. Kashima Edwards
Claims Generalist Associate: Ms. Anna Barnes
3950 Shackleford Road
Duluth, GA 30096

Re: Claim Number: [protected]
Insured: Ricky Lambert
Date of Accident: 09/19/2019

To whom it may concern:

It is with great disappointment and dissatisfaction that I write this letter. Progressive Insurance refuses to recompense a fair and reasonable value for the vehicle that was damaged by your Insured. I understand that as the insured's representative your efforts are to work for his best interest, nevertheless fairness and INTEGRITY are also expected. The data your company presented to substantiate comparative and loss vehicle adjustment caused distress to me as it was facetious, erroneous, and misleading.

The first deceptive action occurred when Progressive claimed in the Settlement document that the typical mileage for a 2007 DTS is 117, 000 miles. When actually, per the United States Department of Transportation Federal Highway Administration, the average American drives 13, 476 miles per annum. This is in line with historical data that reports that the average individual drives 12, 000 to 15, 000 miles annually. Therefore, a more accurate typical mileage per annum for a 2007 (12 years old) vehicle is between 144, 000 to 180, 000 miles. Exploiting information, such as 117, 000 miles is both wrong and misleading and is used to lessen the value of my damaged vehicle.

The second instance occurred with the refusal to consider the NorthStar Engine replacement at 83, 282 that was performed by Johnson Motor Company. This means that the NorthStar Engine presently has approximately 85, 938 miles. When an invoice was provided to a Progressive representative to show proof, I received a number of fabricated and factitious responses to contest that the motor replacement would add value to my vehicle. First, Ms. Barnes stated that due to the fact that the motor was replaced by GM and not paid for by me, it could not be given consideration. Second, Ms. Barnes stated that the motor was USED and placed in my vehicle with 83, 000 miles on it. She went as far as to lie and state that she had contacted Johnson Motor Company and confirmed that the motor was USED. I also contacted Johnson Motor company and spoke with the Service/Parts Manager, David, who confirmed that the motor that was placed in my vehicle was not USED. Furthermore, he laughed and stated that GM would not pay over $6, 000 for a USED motor. Again, this is the second instance where Ms. Barnes falsehoods were an attempt to minimize the value of my vehicle.

Third, the Progressive Adjuster documented SIGNIFICANT BUILD-UP on Engine. In speaking with the body shop, I was informed that the Adjuster did not lift the hood or perform any type of diagnostic testing to determine the degree of engine build up a present on my vehicle. This assumption was likely based on the age and odometer reading of my vehicle. This deceitful report was used to further decrease or minimize the value of my vehicle.

Lastly, with the use of the regional comparative strategy to determine Loss Vehicle Base Valuation, these factors should be considered to determine a more true value of my vehicle. In my presented counter offer, I utilized the same regional comparative strategy and found that the base value should not be less than $5, 000 if compared to other like vehicles with 200 miles with approximately 117, 000 miles (as determined by Progressive to see how many miles a 2007 vehicle should have been driven per annum).
In the counter offer that was presented, this clear data was displayed that refuted many of the reasons/mendacity, as to why my vehicle should be of more value than what Progressive has offered. Instead of consideration of the information presented, I was met with fictitious statements from Ms. Barnes. Again, this displays the lack of honesty and integrity that the Progressive representative has been employing with my claim and determining the valuation of my vehicle. Again, I do understand that Progressive will act in the best interest of their clients, as well as try to mitigate the loss to yourselves and your client. Nevertheless, this does not, and should not allow Progressive to use deception and dishonesty to diminish the value of my vehicle. It is upsetting and disturbing that I am not only being coerced and forced to accept total loss of my vehicle and take less than fair valuation for my vehicle, but also being insulted with demands that "if I don't take the low ball offer, that the Progressive Insurance claim will be closed and I will receive nothing, if there is not a response by November 2nd 2019."

Lastly, I demand a fair valuation for my vehicle with consideration and attention being given specifically to all of the information provided.
Please be advised that I will be forwarding this information and complaint to Progressive Insurance at the Corporate level to make them aware of the deceptive and insolent actions that have occurred.

Sincerely,

Mahogany S. Brown RN BSN

Progressive Casualty Insurance behavior is Ashley Justice, adjuster

Ashley Justice, adjuster for Progressive Insurance did not give me any kind of justified reason for denying me the liability in my case. She never let me give her pictures or the police report. She was avoiding my calls and my texts. She ruled in favor of her client without even giving me a chance to present my information. She totally prejudged me. Her phone number is 610-276-4758. She was totally one-sided and ruled totally on prejudged thoughts. Her client flat out lied about backing into me, and that was a good enough reason for her to deny liability on my case. The driver did not have a driver identification number on the police report. My case number is: [protected]. Is prejudging innocent people who just want justice, the base of the practices of this Corporation called Progressive Insurance? This is a total disgrace. This needs to investigated for I feel that I can't be the only victim of her prejudgments. All that I wanted was some kind of "justice" for my case, and I received the complete opposite from Ashley Justice. Doesn't this corporation have any standards for human beings? If they have any standards, they will not be found dealing with Ashley Justice. Thanks for all of your valuable time whoever may have read this statement.
