We booked 3 nights 17, 18 & 19th March 2020
Booking reference VHNWCWP
The Government advice not to travel was made 16th March
Upon receiving an email to this effect from ‘CEO, Federico J. Gonzalez, Radison Hospitality A B Chairman' I phoned Park Plaza on 16th March to request a refund
On 17th March, Alessandra, from the Reservations Team sent an email informing me that my refund would be completed within "14 days Maximum"
On 30th March 2020 I received another email from Park Plaza informing me that the refund could now take 90 days more.
I need Park Plaza to honour Mr Gonzalez cancellations policy promising free cancellation of all reservations up until 30th April as well as Alessandra's later promise to complete my refund within "14 more days maximum".
While I I can understand that key employees may find it difficult to process refunds at this time my own refund has been promised for 30th March latest.
I can not work at this time. I have loaned money to tide me over this difficult period on the basis of the Initial commitment to my refund within 14 days Maximum. Park Plaza is therefore causing me hardship by failing to make my refund as promised. I need the hotel to honour their original commitment.
Please honour that written promise to me and refund my payment.
Sadly neither the above email sent on 30/03/20 nor several further emails has received any response. I have now prepared a submission to the County Court for full recompense of £522.90 plus Costs of £60. I have offered the hotel 14 days to respond before I proceed with submission.
