RockAuto Order change

I placed an order, then realized I forgot to apply my discount code. I tried to call and email them so the discount could be applied but I couldn't get anyone. I tried to cancel the order within minutes of placing it but I couldn't do that either. When they finally replied by email, they said it was too late to cancel the order, and I would have to place an additional order and incur additional shipping charges.

Desired outcome: place the complete original order with the 5% discount code

RockAuto rockauto.com

Ordered a main drive belt for the alternator, a/c compressor and twice they sent me the wrong part. I ordered a Continental belt with the part number 460k6mk as listed on their website and not once but twice they sent me a 460k6 which is the wrong part number and the wrong part but also not even the same name brand that I ordered. One brand being some company called FVP and the other being "not joking" Import Milage Maker. I mean this can't be a serious product and why would I want to put an inferior product in my vehicle when I ordered a specific brand. False Advertisement and very open for a law suit. Even for something so trivial. Will never shop or recommend rockauto.com again!

RockAuto Jeep wrangler 2007-2011 driver side engine mount

Just over 2 months ago I ordered and installed new engine mounts for my jeep, the driver side mount was not in stock anywhere except rockauto, so I decided its simple enough a part to order there. I installed it correctly under qualified professional supervision a few days later. Over the last month or so my jeep has continued to drive like crap, I had the transmission rebuilt early this year and now it shifts like a box of rocks and the flywheel has become warped. It is absolutely awful, I inspected the drivetrain again today to find that the driver side engine bushing has completely failed it has collapsed and the motor mount bracket is now resting on the metal piece bolted on without any bushing material to suspend it. I do not abuse my vehicle and this defective part aside from cost of replacing it again has potentially caused me thousands more in repairs to my drivetrain. It is devastating to the condition of my vehicle and rockauto will not refund the part that remains warrantied for most of a year until I spend more money with them on a very simple and evidently failed component. No customer service means I am in the dark with this situation. I have worked very hard on building this vehicle.

Desired outcome: i expect a refund on such an egregiously failed part, i am not interested in using whatever replacement part they have to offer.

RockAuto Product never delivered / RockAuto called at 2am

I ordered parts for my 2015 Honda Pilot. After multiple delays in the shipping process and I get a notification that USPS has an issue with my address. Interesting since I get mail and deliveries at this address. I responded to their emails regarding the need to set up the return. Not sure why I need to set up a return for not delivering the promised product. If this wasn't bad enough, they have called two days in a row. The first time was at 2am and then next morning at 4am. Yes, they called my house at 2am with an automated call to tell me that I have process a return. You can't call them back, navigating the website for help is worthless and my return says it is authorized. The level of incompetence and lack of service is difficult to believe. Tell everyone you know to buy parts somewhere else, not worth any potential savings.

Desired outcome: STOP CALLING AND GIVE ME MY MONEY BACK.

RockAuto Serpentine belt

I ordered a serpentine belt for my truck. The options were with or without AC. I chose 'with AC' as that is the setup I have. When I received the belt and tried to install it I found it to be too short. After digging into the matter I found that my truck has a vacuum pump that was not in the description or options. Return was refused because I tried to install the belt and got a little grease on it. The problem is that the description was not accurate in the first place! I now have to wait for who knows how long to get the belt I ordered from somebody else.

RockAuto They state product shipped. FedEx confirmed did not

Placed order 9:43 am Tuesday June 29th, paid $18.99 for next business day delivery, June 30th. 4:58 pm June 29th rock auto email confirmed "your rock auto has shipped! Order number [protected]". Per Fedex, the order never shipped. The label was printed by Fedex but rock auto never delivered parts to Fedex. A total sham and lie. Even today, 24 hours past the premium date, the parts are still not to Fedex. I want my money back! I could have bought these locally. No I cannot drive my minivan to take my family on vacation and I have to rent at $129/day due to a holiday. This B.S. lie from rock auto is criminal. Rock auto has no customer service phone #, no on-line "live chat" and nobody responds to their on-line help forms. I am livid! Order [protected]

Desired outcome: I want my premium shipment charges refunded, credit $50 for my time. Do what you promise,. eBay and Amazon have real customer service.

RockAuto Wrong part listed for my vehicle on their website

I ordered a cabin air filter using my Year Make and Model. When it arrived it was the wrong shape and too large. I emailed them (no phone numbers to call for their customer service) and they told me to return the item. I asked in a 2nd email will I get a return shipping and I was told I would need to pay shipping back. Wait a minute, I entered my correct year make and model vehicle and their website showed a list of cabin filters for my vehicle but when it arrived it would not fit and now it's my fault because your website did not list the correct part? I emailed them back to advised their website listed the wrong cabin filter for my vehicle and I shouldn't have to pay return shipping but no return email back (and again no phone number to call which is smart of them to do that). The shipping cost to return the item would be almost the amount for the filter and so I had to cut and modify the cabin filter to fit my vehicle.

Terrible customer service from RockAuto.

Desired outcome: They never replied to my last email. Horrible customer service.

RockAuto My order 176532713 placed on may 5, 2021 was charged 2 shipping charges and order was in the same cart. Why is this?

The order should have been charged only one shipping charge, I would like a refund . I think Rockauto has made a mistake and I would like it corrected.

I tried all the options on the help page and did not get anywhere.

RockAuto tie-rod end order #[protected]

I paid for overnight and it took four days to get here. Why would I pay for something and then just be okay with being ripped off? I would like a refund for the overnight shipping I was charged for. I ordered it on May 13th and it didn't get here till the 17th. I paid for overnight because I needed the part to be here by Friday and with it not getting here till Monday really put me behind. I love Rock Auto and will still use them but now I know I can't pay for overnight. Also it would be smart of Rock Auto to put a place for people to complain or ask questions. Like a questions or concerns button because trying to get this refund has been a joke.

RockAuto Delivery leadtime and tracking information updates

Hi Rockauto Customer Service,

I have been buying auto parts from your company more than 10 years ago, however, my last order delivery is a pain on [censored] which was order on April 28, 2021 and tracking showed package left origin country on April 30, 2021, up till now, the tracking from DHL is showing delivery to customer country, which is more than 11 days in transit, believe I should receive even sent by US Mail,

In your website, there is no way for me to check with your company but only by this email, I hope this email someone from your company can take care of this soon and let me know what went wrong with DHL,

For customers peace of mind, coould you stop using DHL in your delivery choice which showed their service is far behind commercial acceptable standard both in tracking info updates and leadtime.

RockAuto Parts

Ordered parts paid extra for 2 day shipping ordered on 4/23/21 parts stated would be here 4/28/21. As of now some of my parts will be here according to tracking 2 days late. One of my parts has not even left the warehouse on the day it states in the my orders page on the day is is showing to arrive. Should have known better due to same issues with a previous order. DO NOT ORDER from here unless you don't need your parts for at least a week after the date it shows you will receive.

About the above order number, all I received from the postal service wa a return and shipping label from you. The mailman claims that they did not received anything else, or that the package was lost. He told me to contact you with the problem.

Enclose is coppies of what the mailman left me.

RockAuto Went up on price 5 hours later

I checked the price of a bmg water pump this morning with shipping and taxes and had my wife put that on my card when she cashed my check. I went to bed and when I got up some 5 hours later I used the same page I had pulled up this morning and placed the order and it didn't take. I got to looking to see why and this morning the pump was $16+, but later today it was $19+. Now some folks might not think this is a big deal, but it is akin to calling a REAL parts store and asking the price on an item only to get there and they have gone up on it. I have bought several items before with no issue and was probably going to spend hundreds more with them, but now I'm reconsidering. They sure shot themselves in the foot.

RockAuto Auto Parts

Horrible customer service. I paid for next business day delivery and 4 days later I still have not received my items. Aside from them making it quite difficult to contact them via their website, once I finally did, they basically said there is nothing they can do.

Since I paid extra for expedited shipping, I asked for that to be refunded since the service I paid for was not provided. They flat our refused and would no longer answer my emails.

Find another vendor to give your business to, these people do not deserve it.

RockAuto Movtec lower ball joint

Order no. [protected]
I ordered both right and left lower ball joints and tie rod ends.
I did the passenger side no problem. When I got to the drivers side I open the box and the lower ball joint had a slit in the boot. I sent it back for a replacement. The replacement I received yesterday and it has a hole in the boot. Now when I try to do a return you say your not comfortable with sending another part and want to do a refund. If I had known what a pain Movtec parts would be I would have ordered MOOG. Now I have Movtec on the passenger side I would like to finish the job on the drivers side with the same.
If not I need to replace both right and left lower ball joints with Moog. This is a great inconvienence. I have dedicated 2 days to this job and it's not done. It seems lately more than 50% of my orders have to be returned. Not Happy!

Desired outcome: 1. A Movtec lower ball joint that is not broken. 2. Replace both R and L with Moog

The parts actually arrived promptly on 1/1/21. My mechanic could not get me an appointment to repair before 1/7/21. Within two hours after delivering my car he called me to say that the fuel tank had a hole in it the size of his thumb. I went on the Rock Auto website to try to find customer service. There is NONE available, so I used there FAQ's and explained my problem. When I ordered the package of fuel tank, support straps and a fuel pump their website did identify that this was the last one in stock. I immediately ordered this package from another online auto parts supplier. I received an email on 1/8/21 with return instructions including an address.

On 1/15/21 I received an email that a refund was issued for the fuel pump and the straps. This did not give me a refund for the fuel tank nor for any of the shipping charge. A separate email was received on 1/15/21 that showed that a fuel tank was shipped. I no longer need a fuel tank.

I returned the damaged package on 1/14/21 at a cost of $72.44 and I also returned the unwanted fuel tank on 1/21/21 at a cost of $63.62. I had not received any refund for these shipping costs. I thank the complaints board for supplying the phone number for Rock Auto, so that I could call them.

I called Rock Auto and they called me back on 2/8/21 and informed me that I would not be receiving any refund for the $136.06 Fed Ex return shipping that I paid out.

Desired outcome: I would greatly appreciate receiving these return shipping charges.

RockAuto brake caliper

Bad part, Order# [protected] 11-1-20. There is no way to remedy this through rockauto. Beyond frustration trying to find a simple way on website to rectify.
Their indifference cost them my business though I'm sure they could care less.

This part was installed by myself within the first week of Nov. 20 and had started leaking by Dec.
The part is advertised as a top quality pressure tested unit. The manufacturer claims all adjustments are to go through Rockauto.

RockAuto Ignition coil

I have ordered parts from rock auto in the past, I have received my parts in a timely manner. On monday 03-01-2021 I ordered a ignition coil part. $34.00 was taken out of my banking account on monday 03-01-2021. I did not get a ordered number for the part. Today is thursday 03-11-2021 I have not received my part. I cant track my order due to not having that order number. I need my car to be running. Where is my part?

I just had to pay over $700 for someone to press in new wheel bearings on a NEW part. Why? The aftermarket companies can't apparently make ABS wheel bearing encoder rings that work. Replaced my 2 front knuckle hub assemblies specifically so I didn't have to use special tools to replace growling wheel bearings. This is a serious problem because now the wheel...
