rodenshiser plumbing heating a/c & electric is not good. they have big problems with how they do the work, talk to you, and help you in an emergency. be careful if you use them.

The service was good, but the price was too high. I asked for a detailed bill to prove the crazy amount, but no one has reached out to me yet. They charged me over $900 for under two hours of work and a $150 part. Seems like they're taking advantage of people.

Rodenhiser is a great company. They were really professional. Don was a pleasure to deal with. He had me up and running in under an hour. He checked everything from top to bottom and gave me some good tips on maintaining my HVAC system. He answered all my questions and was really great in all aspects of the service call.

Me and my wife, we're old folks, had Rodenhiser put in a new water heater and boiler for about $30,000. Then we needed a hole in our siding fixed and asked Rodenhiser to send someone out for a quote. They did and the guy quoted us almost $2,900 to fix two 4" diameter siding sections and beef up a doorframe for a new screen door closer. We were shocked! So we decided to do the work ourselves and it only took us about 5 hours. I wrote to the company about how they took advantage of us, but they didn't even bother to respond. I can't help but think they overcharged us for the work they did do. After reading other reviews, it seems like this is a common thing with Rodenhiser. My advice, stay away from them!

These guys came to our house to check out a fan in our attic. They said it would cost $1000 to fix. We said no way, my husband is pretty handy as he gets older so we don't need to pay for that. They charged us $69 just for coming out. My husband got the part for $130 and fixed it himself in 30 minutes. So they're charging like $1700 an hour for labor, which is crazy. I've read a lot of reviews and they always say they'll look into it and call back, but they never do. I think this company is shady for charging just to give a quote. They probably call it a service call when it's really just a quote. It's ridiculous that they can get away with it.

I gotta say, I've been pretty happy with Rodenhiser's work overall. But this last time, I gotta admit, I'm not too thrilled. The dude who came out to check on our boiler problem didn't really seem to know what he was doing. He couldn't get the thing running, and he didn't even really figure out what was wrong with it. Instead, he just gave us a bunch of options for repairs, with the cheapest one being almost two grand. Yikes. We ended up getting a couple other opinions, and it turned out that the problem was just a little sensor that had fallen off a pipe. And it didn't cost us anything to fix! We were ready to drop a ton of cash on a new boiler, but it turned out to be a super simple fix. So, I guess my advice would be for the Rodenhiser folks to try a little harder to figure out what's going on before they start suggesting expensive repairs.

Me and my wife had our furnace replaced by Rodenhiser Plumbing, Heating, A/C & Electric. Our old system was 22 years old and the igniter failed. We called them on a Saturday morning and they said they would send someone right away. The technician came within an hour and confirmed the failed igniter. We decided to replace the whole system and spoke with Rick, the HVAC Specialist. Rick helped us choose the right system and even helped us get a loan. On the day of installation, Tyler and Matt were the installation techs and they were polite and professional. Tim and Alex were the electricians and they found a fire hazard in our service panel. David, their manager, arrived and helped us replace the whole panel. All of the Rodenhiser personnel were professional and did a great job. We would recommend them to anyone who needs their services.

I called Rodenheiser on 2/19 at 8:30am because my water boiler pilot wouldn't ignite. I told the dispatcher what was wrong, but I missed their call back. They put me on the schedule for 4pm. The technician arrived within 15 minutes and said I needed a new pilot and flame sensor. He quoted me $889, which I thought was too high, but I agreed to it because I was cold and needed heat. The technician had to go back to the office in *** to get the parts, but he came back and finished the job in 15 minutes. On Saturday, I talked to *** (dispatcher) and got a call from a *** (Service Manager?) who offered me a $180 refund for my annual maintenance ***. I thanked him, but I still thought the $889 charge was too much. I asked for an itemized ***, but they don't do that. I still haven't received an invoice by email. I called on Tuesday and was told a manager would call me back, but I haven't heard from anyone. It's now Friday at noon. I talked to two other *** providers, and they said the same job would cost $300-$450. I think Rodenheiser's prices are too high, and I hope they can help me and others who feel the same way. *** V

Had them out 4 weeks ago to look at AC unit not working. They said they ordered parts and confirmed they'd be here in 2 days. We paid $1600 deposit on $3800 quote. After a week of not hearing from them, we called and were told they were still waiting on parts. We called almost daily trying to get an answer. Some days we were told parts arrived, other days we were told no parts arrived, and finally, we were told it was back-ordered. They NEVER reached out to us. We told them we had 3 kids at home that were hot at night and just wanted an answer to when this would be fixed. We got another company out for a second opinion who told us that it doesn't even look like someone properly looked at the unit as the mouse nest was still intact in the unit and no one could possibly see what was wrong with it without taking that out. The new company said the part Rodenhiser ordered would not even fix the issue. So after waiting 4 weeks - we need to get the second company to actually fix the real problem. I called Rodenhiser to refund my deposit and they want to keep 15% as a restocking fee for a product they don't even have and for a service that was not actually performed correctly. I can't even get anyone to call me back about this and I want to be refunded my full amount. I have been told someone will call me back 5 days in a row now with no response.
