no complaint, just remedies
This not a complaint but a response to those who have samsung refrigerator temperature problems. When the compressor is running both evaporators are charged and during a heavy ice demand a pf (Power freeze) condition occurs. During this time the fan in the refrigerator compartment is off and temperatures at both freezer and refrigerator evaporators will plunge down to - 20 degrees f. At such low temperatures cold air migrates down into the drain trough area causing the defrost water to instantly freeze, thereby forming a block of ice that seals off air flow through the evaporator coil and also plugs the drain holes with ice.
The fix to this problem is to unplug the refrigerator for 10 seconds then re-plug it in and the display will show the actual temps and not the set point temps, then set the freezer temp 0-4 degrees above zero.
not working
Purchased a samsung 42" plasma tv in 2006, spending at least $ 2000, with a one year warranty. A couple of months ago it just quit. I called samsung they gave me a company to contact. I called them 3 times finally got someone who told me the repair would be 1/4 what I paid for the tv & component. Told them okay said they would get back with me, that was over 2 months ago. I then went to the samsung site any that is the only company that they could give me for repairs. Hhgregg does not have to worry about me buying a product at their store again.
samsung refrigerator junk
Our stainless steel side by side Samsung refrigerator looks great in our new kitchen but it doesn't work. No one really knows how to fix it. Oh, they say they do and repairmen have come out three times to the house. We have paid for the visits and for a new part which did not fix the problem. I researched the large and complicated web site for Samsung and...

terrible reception on my phone U700 samasung mobile phone contract started with optus oct 2007 they sent phone away to be fixed however they claim it has liquid damage so won't fix it as i am an extremely fussy person with my phone i don't know how this could be the case however i don't know if that is the case if it would be a problem with the reception as they have told me to contact you as they can't help me thats what i'm doing my contract is for 24 months i don't this phone will even last that time worst phone have EVER had
this is crazy! I'm having the same problem with the Samsung U700 - on the other side of the world - South Africa. My phone also came back "water damaged" what's even worse is that my service provider - MTN - even complained that this is a rubbish phone. So, now I wonder - I'm only starting my complaint now - is there even hope that they will assist me? I am also paying a lot every month R500 - 00 without the benefit of the phone..I am extremely upset and dissapointed.
Hey buddy, ive had the same problem, ive sent the phone back once before, but ive had heaps of friends that have experienced the ### aswell, ive had some luck, after talkin to the a complaint officer and they said that they will put $60.00 on my account so that it could cover the cost of purchasing a temp phone, although it is a start it is hardly enjoy considering that i am paying 89.00 a month to use a "quality" phone and their service. i dont know what else to do, cause after hearing friends needing to send it 3 times before they consider replacing it with a U700, is just simply unacceptable.

defective refrigerator
Have just shifted to delhi and was setting up home. After a careful analysis of the market place and the products available, zeroed in on samsung products to take care of my requirements, but the experience so far has been horrible. And thought I need to warn all fellow members of the poor service being offered by samsung.
Around 15th april bought 3 samsung acs and 1 samsung refrigerator... Within a month of purchase I have had to call the samsung service center 10 times due to some problem or the other in the refrigerator. (Gurgaon service center complaint reference number [protected])... Its very disheartening and sad when one has spent so much money on a brand new product and within a month we need to start calling the service center. It is understandable that any equipment at any point of time can give problems. The issue is not that. It is how a consumer problem is understood and solved. In this case after so many complaints it is but natural that my faith in the product has eroded.
I have therefore asked the company to give me a replacement, as I cant have a new product giving me so many problems...
Its sad and unfortunate that despite having bought so many products from samsung in one go, there response has been vague and non committal... They have just wasted my time and energy, the response from the service center has been a constant "we will get back to you". This has been going on for the past 3 weeks without any concrete results.
I am surprised that a company of the stature of samsung has such a poor service track record in place
So future samsung purchasers better be warned.
defective fridge
Absolutely disgusting and regretful attitude of the samsung fridge manufacturers and their service centers. Somehow I have now understood the unscrupulous behavior of this company which appears to me as a bunch of crooks and swindlers. I fail to understand how the government allows these companies to function in india well knowing that this foreign company is here only to cheat their consumers. High time someone reacted from somewhere to teach these people a lesson in honesty and sincerity.
broken cheap plastic
I bought a samsung french door refrigerator 6 months ago and the deli door just came off. It has a cheap plastic nob that is pencil size and 1/4 of an inch. It came right off now the lid to the deli door won't stay on. I bought the extended warrenty and the appliance is only 6 months old and now I have to buy a new door because samsung will not stand by their products. The door is so cheap, we didn't even touch it, to open the tray you grap the tray not the door so I have no idea why it broke and now I have to pay. I will never buy another samsung product again.
I have the same problem and after trying to think of ways to keep the door from sliding too far left or right (which causes the door to come out) I decided to call customer service. They initially said that I had waited too long to complain and a service call fee would be my responsibility. They finally decided to cover the cost but are having a hard time finding a service representative in my area. I believe it is a design flaw they have corrected by making the shelf below the vegetable drawers stiffer. Then the hinges engage and keep the door from sliding too far left or right. I was thinking of trying to put "O" rings or something similar on the sides of the pegs that hold the door or maybe screwing the shelf up against the bracket between the vegetable drawers to keep it from sagging. They are supposed to call me back when they find available service. I otherwise really like the refrigerator and bought it because of JD Power ratings.
compressor motor break down
I bought the Samsung refrigerator, RS20NAMS model 4 years ago. But, recently it has broken down. The supplier says that it was the compressor motor which has broken and it need two month to get the spare part. What can be done to get the spare part rightaway? I'm in need of a refrigerator. I will be looking forward for your promptly reply.
refusal to mend a broken phone after 4 months delicate use
I bought a samsung mobile phone from argos in dec 07, by april 08 the screen was unreadable, I hadn't dropped it, got it wet or anything, it literally went potty on its own free will. Argos sent it away saying it would take 14 working days to be mended, oh yes they then contact me after I have waited two weeks to say they would charge me & pound;74 to fix it or I could graciously accept it back unfixed! I think not! I will take it up with head office and then use my customer rights.
we had a very similar experience having bought a digital camera at argos in summer 2009 by Dec 2009 it wouldn't load photos onto our computer we tried a neighbours computer and still it wouldn't work. The result was that they passed the buck saying we would have to pay the repair costs due to the camera being disassembled by an unauthorised agent! Which basically is their word against yours! How easy to try to get away with their costs, the letter we received looked standard and is probably used regularly to see just how many gullable customers they can get away with it with! This day and age is just fight after fight to get what you think would be a simple task done correctly!
SHAME ON YOU ARGOS. Mr & Mrs McGrann Rochdale store
regarding las posting argos sends to a general repair service not samsung
Sorry but Argos paid to have the phone send away and checked by independent engineers and it was found to be faulty due to your negilgence ( it was not a manufactors defect). Did you leave it in a car overnight? that is a common cause of mobile phone breakdowns it even happned to myself.
The Facts are
1.The phone was misused
2.Argos are out of pockect for engineer time and p&p costs (because the phone was not manufactor defect)
3. You have no rights if you Miss-use the item.
Sorry but people always blame someone else.
samsung ac & its services suck
I bought samsung ac model no-18qbhdc 17th april 2005, and within a period of 15 days it went for repair. Since then its gone for repair over twice every year. We've spent more than 5000 other than the servicing charges to the company, forget the financial losses its given us too much mental torture as we have to call 100 times before an engineer turns up, for over weeks we get false promises from the company that the engineer is on his way but no one turns up. Other than that the engineers are incompetent & dont do the complete work. Today an engineer turned up charged us rs 1000 for a part of the compressor which was not working, when we objected as the compressor is under warrenty he claimed that that particular part was not under warrenty, so we had to pay... But its just been 4 hours since the engineer has left & the ac is again not working. Dont know if anything will happen after my submitting the complaint here, but anyone who reads it should know that samsung ac sucks... I'll try my level best to sue them for giving us so much of mental agony.

Dear sir,
With reference to the above, please note that I have purchased the above model mobile knowing that hsdpa availability and the fancy advertisement of samsung. I also activated 1 gb internet package from the mobily the service provider for mobiles internet at saudi arabia. even after 20 days I was not able to use or able to activate internet through mobily settings. the very purpose of buying samsung mobile with hsdpa is wasted and the money spent for this purchase was an utter waste instead I would have purchased a nokia or any other mobile than samsung which could made me happy.
Another worst thing I want to stress is that the cd provided along with the mobile is not supporting vista. I really wonder how internationally branded samsung companies make such type of technical injustice to their products in this futuristic world technology in the field of communications.
Hence, considering my above complaints with respect to this particular above mentioned model (samsung model sgh-i600), please arrange to send the related soft wares so that what ever it is meant could be useful as per specifications especially the internet and confirm your statement as advertised for ultra messaging
I appreciate your early reply.

audio extension not working properly
Audio output speakers of lcd tv not working properly. Today (29/04/08) they have done some repairs for the compliant lodged on 02/04/2008 my regd bp no.[protected]. The problem is repeating again and again. Number of times repairs were carried out during the last three months immediately after purchase. Lcd tv inside speakers were changed and mother board also changed however the trouble was not rectified. Today I was stunned immediately the mechanics went out when I notice again the problem.
Really lot of mental tension I am facing. I request for replacement of the existing tv.
The customer should have been provided with a new piece otherwise she should loadge a complaint with comsumer forum for justice.
When a costly LCD TV was repaired number of times within three months of purchase i feel its the company should feel moral responsibility by replacing with a new piece. No futher torture to the consumer.

We purchased a samsung split-type airconditioner for our home office. They were fast in delivering the unit but their after sale service is very poor. After only 30 days of purchase the unit stopped working displaying an error code e2 03 on the indoor monitor unit. Their sub-contracted maintainance provider do not have technicians on duty during weekends (As their website claim they have) so we had to wait until monday for a visit schedule. It's been more than a week and until now, they couldn't figure out what's wrong with it.
After persistent calls, no one has come back yet to replace or repair it. Their head office customer service hotline just keeps on ringing, for a long 15 minutes until u just give up! They also have this habit of calling at the end of office hours just to say they are still waiting for feedback from korea to determine what's wrong with the unit. The error code e2 03 is not listed in their repair manual. I demanded a replacement but nobody is taking it seriously. I even suggested that perhaps they should pull out the unit so they can examine it at their liberty and just replace what they've initially installed.
I was told the official technician from samsung assigned in manila is on sick leave and we were told there are only 2 of them covering nationwide! How is that possible that you only have 2 official technicians to cover an entire country?!? Unbelievable!
We also called the shop where we bought the unit but they too has to wait for another unit from samsung. They also advised us we should not be too nice in talking to samsung agents and threat to sue or talk to the boss of samsung (Which is sooo hard to reach because they don't give their direct numbers) otherwise they wouldn't take u seriously.
They will make u feel you owe them to wait and just follow whatever they tell you.
Really pathetic service! I already filed a complaint to the department of trade and industry and demand for a refund if they couldn't fix or replace it.
I've always been a fan of samsung. We also have a tv and an entertainment system that's why we bought this air conditioner. Had I known this would happen, i'd rather spend a little more money for another brand. Now I fear for our other samsung appliances if they break down. Same old pathetic service i'm sure!
As of press time, we are still waiting for feedback from samsung technicians when they would report for work to attend to our problem.
Let our experience be a lesson to everyone.
My window type samsung air - conditioner is probably the most rotten air - conditioner in the world. . . And samsung service in the philippines is probably the most rotten in the world too! On top of this, the samsung philippines management is probably the most rotten in the world too!
My air - conditioner started to rust in just 3 months, same time as the remote controller starting malfunctioning. In just 6 months, the air - swing stopped working and in 10 month the samsung air - con unit started to give poor cooling performance. In about 24 months, the control panel stopped working and the climate control was stucked at 26 deg. C.
I called samsung for service, and you won't believe that such lousy service still exists in these days!
To make a long story short, samsung service sent incompetent technicians who made wrong diagnosis: mainboard is dead, i complained: why such a short service life? Adding to my horror: they don't have the parts and they have to order abroad! When it finally arrived after 3 weeks, they found out it was not the mainboard, but just the control panel! And they don't have the parts and they have to order abroad!
When the control panel arrived, they found out that the swivel motor is dead, and the remote controller is kaput. They took the remote controller for repair but until now i haven't seen my remocon again. I called samsung service and raised hell, because that's the only way you could ask them to fix your samsung within your lifetime, but to no avail this time.
They just don't care, they want your money for their appliances. . . Which break down in such horrifying short period, and they probably expect you to give up on their lousy service and just go ahead and buy another one.
In my honest opinion, samsung products are of poor quality, and their service is a joke!
I will never buy another samsung product in my life, and i will tell my children to do the same. Owning samsung is too much trouble !
lost in shipments 2 times
I purchased an online package deal worth $2911.99. The package consist of tv, official nfl football, nfl dvd disc and a samsung bluray player. I receieved the tv, football and dvd disc but not the bluray player. I complained to bestbuy about this and they ask me to keep on ordering or retrying using my credit card and they say they will re-imburse my money. I tried it couple more times to order it but the second time still got lost in canada post (Richmond b. C. Facility) I finally got my item on the third time but best buy won't reimburse my money. They reimbursed my money on the second re-order but not the third time. Also, most of their customer support are very rude. They will talk to you like you owe them your life. This store is a rip off!
product faulty
My partner bought me a samsung phone on 24th December 2007, costing £140.00, in mid February it started switching itself off and occasionally not charging . I contacted phones 4 u in Glasgow where it was purchased and was told to take it to their Motherwell branch for repair. I did so on 1st March and i was unhappy with the fact the staff member tried to sell me another phone and forget about the repair. Not good customer service. After more than 2 weeks i contacted them because i had heard nothing and was told someone should have contacted me. I was told the phone was beyond repair due to water damage and i had to pay £17 to get it back. I disputed the water damage story and having to pay to get the phone back and told them i was going to contact the shop. The staff member suggested that i had left the phone beside a boiling kettle. I have always used samsung phones and so has my family but i am disgusted with the way we have been treated, i would also like to point out at present i am using my old samsung phone which is 2 years old. The phone we purchased has obviously been faulty and i would appreciate your help and common sense in resolving this complaint.
I purchase a new Samsung i900 on 1st June 2009 and two months down the track, after charging the phone overnight, the phone played up the following morning.
The phone started vibrating after over night charging and when i took the phone off charge to check if the vibrating was due to a message received, it did not accept my screen pin. I most definately did not forget my pin as it was the same used for 2 years and used on aonther mobile set. I tried turning on and off, even tried using another sim card which was from the same phone provider and the phone did not want to respond to the touchs on the touch screen
I took it to samsung provided in Western Australia and they say its not covered under warranty because it has a phone lock.
May i add that there are two ways to unlock this phone! I have used them both. One way can be through the pin and the other is by holding down the unlock key!
I find it unbelieveable that they can not figure out whats wrong with it!
My previous phone was a D600 and i did not have any problems and now an upgrade made looks like the worst choice made. I am currently using the old phone!
I have a samsung phone that had the same issue. Different phone model. The keypad also gets so hot, you don't want to touch it. I sent it to Samsung (US) to get it fixed since the keypad was a defect and who knows what the deal with the screen was. They said they can't fix it becasue it's damaged. It would cost me $90 US to fix the LCD and then they could fix the keypad. I keep my phone in a case and used one of those LCD protectors. The screen looked as if it melted and that's what I was told by my local at&t store. Samsung told me that because of the LCD, the defective keypad was not in warranty. It's their fault! They sold me a defective phone! So, I'm out $300 and the phone is useless. What a great company! Never buy their crappy products again.
I had a U6oo also which they claimed to have water damage. Their customer service is without a doubt the worst out of all major mobile phone companys FACT ! Every samsung product I have had has broken within its warranty time, but not been replaced or fixed due to lame excuses from them. I was told my u6oo required a flex pack, and that it was getting repaired. This was obviously going to cost them too much soo they decided to claim it was water damage. This took them 36 days to do so ! Well over their specified 28days gaurantee repair time, and if not repaired within this time a new handset should be issued which also never happened. The phone came back in a terrible state with the battery cover borken !I had it looked at by a third party local repair centre. It was not water damage ! It was repaired for £1o. I am now taking legal action against samsung ! They are wihout a doubt the worst mobile phone manufacturer at the moment and should not be allowed to treat their customers this way !
TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN!
this mail is specifically a complaint of the Samsung Mobile dealers in PAKISTAN.
Actually i am a permanent user of samsung mobiles i had been using X100. D500, D600, E900 and now U600.
i was very satisfied of the samsung mobiles. But this time i am having a great problem. My SAMSUNG U600 set has got a black spot on its LCD. it started from the bottom of the screen and then moved on to the centre. And got bigger in a day. i went to the Warranty giving dealers MOBILE ZONE. They saw that its a big problem that will cost them about Rs 4000. they started giving excuses by saying that the set can't be claimed in warranty as it is damaged or it had a liwuid contact. i got shocked by hearing this that how can it be possible? The black spot had moved from bottom to centre, how can a damage can move? it can get bigger but can't move. but that spot had moved on. but still they do not agree and they are asking me for money Rs. 4000. Why? What does warranty mean?
there was some problem in the set by its own, not because of me it has never fall down and never had any contact to any liquid. I am Sure and i can bet on it. Then why they are not providing me my warranty rights.
they are just giving a bad name to SAMSUNG. My son had been using a nokia cell phone, he got problem with that then the dealers of that set, named ADVANCE TELECOM, took notice of that and they gave a new set replacement. WOW! This is the warranty.
But the SAMSUNG mobile dealers, MOBILE ZONE, are not even repairing the set and asking for the money. Isn’t it a matter of shame for them and for the samsung too.
In this way they are compelling me to use Nokia or some other company's mobile which provide a real useful warranty.
I want SAMSUNG Company to take a notice of it and provide me Warranty facility
My set is submitted in the MObile zone company but now they are asking for money. they have the set submitted to them with the R.O number RWP-21949 with the name of my son ZAIN

worst service by samsung in bangalore
I purchased samsung fully automatic top loading washing machine from adishwar's, rajajinagar, bangalore. The show room service person completed the deomstration in 3 minutes! And fled the scene without even showing us how to drain the water out. The brand new washing machine is now full of dirty water and we have not used it even once. Show room person says' it is not our responsibility'. There is no response from the customer care since 6 days!
After sales service is really worst!
Please do not buy anything from SAMSUNG. they have worst after sales service.
Please spread this word by mouth/mail/phone to whom ever you know. that is the only solution.
We bought a Samsung Refrigirator in 2006. It conked out in February 2009. We are still waiting for it to be fixed. We made several calls and threats and endearments to the Samsung Service people. The standard reply is, the part we need to fix the fridge has to come from Korea and it will take 3 weeks or more to procure etc etc. They keep saying the same story ad nauseum. Finally we moved to the US in April 2009 but we might return soon and we dont know what the hell to do with this conked out fridge.
I agree to this.I own a refrigerator which needed service. Its the 3rd day today after the compalaint has been registered. The executive came and he is not able to trouble shoot the issue.Geting postponed to the 6th and 7th day. What do i do
I agree to this. I am also the victim of their bad service. I have also posted my problem. I think now onwards I will also advise all of my friends not to purchase anything connected to this SAMSUNG. The way they are dealing with the customers are really very very bad.
People, if you don't want to waste your hard-earned money, and followed by endless bad services, don't buy anything from Samsung, hope people will not have the same bad experience that I have. I bought a refrigerator, really nice one, but it started to breakdown after 8 months. They never come fix it and have very bad customer services.
television giving shocks
Samsung tv gives very bad shocks - samsung does not care
Samsung tv (Model cs29 m (74cm) gives very bad shocks at the in and out terminals and antenna terminal. Be careful. You may be lucky so far.
You are fortunate if you do not perceive a shock, even if you have one such tv. But …….. Read on for full story…..
The above model gives very bad shocks from the day one. After repeated complaints, the samsung service team started giving telephonic advices how to test for a shock or how to get one.
Still more complaints…., the service personnel informed us that all their sets give the shock as if that is nothing new. I refuted their point that all tvs give shock.
Then one day they graced their presence; the manager was more careful about his life as he did not touch the set but asked his assistant to touch. The service personnel touched the set and got the shock. I showed them tvs like lg, phillips and akai which did not have any sign of shock.
Then the service man measured the shock potential by touching the set with his bare dry hands on a dry winter day. It measured more than 30 volts and he was wearing socks on his feet.
High technology team at samsung knows that it is close to result in a death.
The service manager tried to convince me with some technical lingo how modern tv sets give shock. I rebutted them in equal technical language.
On the advice of the manager, the service man removed a certain component from the set. I asked them what the purpose of it is. Or is it deliberately used by samsung to introduce a shock to human beings?
The manager informed me that it is a component basically to protect the set from lightening and high voltage surges and spikes.
I protested removal of such vital component, which will expose the set to dangers sooner or later. Samsung will happily wash of their hands after one year.
The set was then left in that condition in spite of my protests.
After another complaint, their manager from chennai made a long telephonic talk, bamboozling me with some more technical lingo, but the shock threat remains. He accepted his sets give shock but tried to prove that all tv sets give shock; only some may not perceive when they use cable network.
If all tvs made in this country give shocks, we as a nation are in for a shock!
Then this manager from chennai came and accepted that he was against removal of that component. He however brought a new printed circuit board and inserted in our tv.
Alas! This one also gives serious shocks.
It finally proves that all tvs made by samsung give dangerous shocks. Be careful.
No further action from them!
Samsung ignored my further mails and continue to sell their sets happily to hapless country men.
They do not belong to the class of nokia or sony.
It is dangerous. Any one of us can be next victim! It will not bother samsung.
What if, for them if some more get a shock in the multitude of millions in india?
Please help SERVICE MANUAL SAMSUNG CS29M21.
fraudulent charges
I ordered a tv from pricemad - first they upsold me and then sold me a tv for $1600.00 they attempted to charge my credit card $3000.00. Then when I called them about it they first denied it (Until I told them the cc company had called me) and then tried to say they placed the order twice by accident which still would not equal that amount. They then kept arguing with me when I tried to cancel my order and hung up on me
The guy on the phone went so far as to ask me if I was canceling the order because he was in new york and liked the yankees - no joke intended - he was just rude.
I bought a TV a little over a year ago and today I woke up and my TV wont turn on. I called Samsung and informed them of the situation. I was told that they are having a some of issues with some of their LCD TV's and that my problem sound like one of them. I was told that a repair rep would contact me. I called back because I wanted to know if someone could come out before two days because this is the only TV I own and I cant afford to buy another one. When I called back another rep told my that if the rep come out and the issue was not covered by the repairs that they were doing on would have to pay for the consultation and the repairs. I explained that I don't think that is fare that my TV was a little over a year and I paid $699.00 plus tax for this TV and now a little over a year I cant even watch it and now you'll are telling me that I would have to pay more money just to watch my TV. They told me that is they way it was. I told them I bought a 20" TV for $78.00 dollars that I had for seven years and even when I gave it away it was still working and it is still working and that was a off brand TV. They said they understand but that is their policy. And their customer service reps are the worst. They are as nasty as can be. I though Samsung was a reputable brand but now I am starting to regret praising their product and recommending all the people that I did to buy buy it.
I remember when you could buy a TV and it would last forever seems like these days you might as well buy the cheap off brand because they seem to be lasting longer than the well known brands. I think after this experience I will go back to he off brands and save some money.
Just and FYI anyone else that's having the same issue you can go to the Consumer Protection web site and file a government complaint against this company. The more complaints they get maybe they will force this company to do a recall or repair these TV's for free.
