What an excellent company! I had no heat so I called. Even though it Saturday and they were already scheduled, they arrived about 8 hours later. They repaired the unit quickly. They are the best HVAC company Des Moines!

I was so pleased with the Technician. She did an excellent job She not only fixed the problem but explained everything she did. Couldn't be more pleased. I'm so glad I bought my furnace and air conditioner from them. They give such great service.

Darien described each phase of his inspection and then informed me of the results of each phase as he finished it. At the end of the inspection he gave a complete review, including pictures. He was very thorough, personable and informative. Thanks, Darien!

Joey was fantastic. He worked quickly, explained everything, and presented an option that would help extend the life of my older a/c unit, saving me a ton of money in the near future. This was my first system check up with Schaal and I highly recommend them.

I had an issue with a gas line leading into the furnace that had a small leak. Schaals came out on a Sunday morning & ensured it was fixed and safe. They stayed until midamerican came to do their safety check to ensure nothing came up. Friendly and capable technicians!

Chaz came out to inspect our AC after we felt it just wasn't working properly. He was very friendly, courteous of our home, and did a great inspection. He was very upfront with us, not pushy at all, and we are very pleased with the service! I would definitely recommend Schall Heating and Cooling.

Christian was very professional and explained our issue in detail. He made sure we had air conditioning through the late night on a super hot day. Christian even took the time to introduce himself to our rescue dogs who were less than welcoming of a stranger late at night. I won't use anyone but Schall.

Terrific! Schaal assisted me in an emergency hot water heater issue. Found time to install on short notice and sent two excellent staff. Matt C and Juan were above and beyond in installing as well as very careful. Always masked and pleasant. Walked me through steps to reset should the pilot go out. Big

The best advertising this company enjoys is the satisfaction of their happy customers! That's it! A good product and great service given is its own reward. Word of mouth is its best advertising.

We had a new furnace installed by another company about a year ago. There were issues with it so we called Schaal. A few things were done improperly by the first company and Schaal fixed those issues and replaced the old whole house humidifier which wasn't working at all. Very professional, fair price, friendly and explained everything thoroughly. No pressure and they did a great job. Very impressed!

Extremely professional staff, answered all of my inquiries. We love the work & really happy with the outcome. We received furnace with air scrubber, thermostat, humidifier; water tank/heater, and central air system. We are thrilled with yr staff & their knowledge. All of the above was installed in 8 hours. The staff brought heaters to keep us warm on a very cold day. The clean up of our home was perfect, we are hooked on Schaals yall.

Schaal did a great job on my annual furnace cleaning and inspection service. This was the first time using Schaal and I will definitely call them back in the Spring for the AC cleaning and inspection. I've used other HVAC services in the past to clean and service my AC and furnace, and the Schaal technician really went through the entire system when others just inspected the surface. He spent considerable longer time inspecting my furnace, and in the end walked me through the entire system and possible issue so I was aware. Impressed with the technician and Schaal.

Yesterday, a Schaal service tech was here to do routine maintenance on out furnace. Schaal had bought the business the use to do maintenance on our furnace. This was the first time that we have had Schaal do maintenance on our furnace. The tech appeared to have done a good job of checking the furnace. When the tech completed his inspection, he told us that the run capacitor needed to be replaced. The price for the part was $186.66. We went ahead and had him replace the capacitor. The price of the capacitor seem very high to me and after the tech left, I started checking to see what I could get one for. The capacitor is a 4uF 370 VAC capacitor. Granger sells them for $6.05. On Amazon they range from $11.99 to $19.20. On a web site that sells parts for our furnace, the price for a 4uF 370 VAC cap is $2.51. It appears that Schaal is price gouging people on parts.

I had Schaal Plumbing, Heating, & Cooling do some work for me in November . They sold me an AC cover for $100. It's now January 31, 2022, and I've called a few times to check on my order, but I keep getting the runaround. I've been a customer of Schaal's for a while and have always had good service, but the new ownership seems different. I just want my money back. It's been 90 days, and I think that's long enough. The person who sold me the cover should honor my request.
