Selbyville Holly Kia is the worst dealership I've ever had the misfortune of shopping at in over 50 years. Their service is terrible, with a bunch of liars and ignorant employees. The list just keeps going on. I strongly advise you to stay away, FAR away.

I wouldn't even consider visiting this dealership. The way the management treats their employees is terrible. They constantly belittle them in front of their coworkers and customers. I wouldn't even give them a single star. I'd rather walk backwards across the country than purchase anything from this awful company.

The service manager at the Felton location is a terrible person. He spends all day hiding in his office and makes up excuses about being in meetings. He will also lie to you just to get you to leave. If you leave here with a smile, it means you haven't realized how badly you've been taken advantage of yet.

Selbyville Holly Kia sold me a truck that's currently being rebuilt out of my pocket. When I told them my concerns, they said it was looked at and normal for that truck. All they care about is making a sale. Now, I'm stuck paying all this money for a truck that's in the shop being rebuilt. I would give them no stars if I could.

If I could give 0 stars, I would. This place is a joke. I bought a car from them in 2017 and have had nothing but problems. I switched to another Kia dealership for my service and maintenance, because of this they will not honor my "free tires for life". When I purchased the car "new" with 1200 miles on it from being a demo, the trunk leaked - it was a nightmare to fix and they wouldn't give me a rental car or pick the vehicle up so I could go back and forth to work. I will never recommend anyone EVER go to this dealership or buy another car from them.

It's really hard to get a hold of them on the phone. The service department never picks up. I had to add my own oil twice before the next oil change was supposed to happen based on mileage. They forgot to give me a sticker yesterday to remind me when the next oil change is due. I can't even talk to a real person on the phone. Once, they put the hubcap back on my tire in a way that I couldn't refill it with air because the valve was covered. They seem to care a lot about how the waiting room looks, but I don't care if it's fancy or not, I just want good service. This is Christine Kay, and I won't be going back to Selbyville Holly Kia.

I would give zero stars but it wasn't allowed. The Holly Kia in Felton is the worst experience I have ever had. They didn't inform me that my car did not come with a spare. They lied and told me my tires were covered for a lifetime. I had my car less than a year and the tire blew and left me stranded in 94 degree weather with my children in the car. Refused to give me a spare and told me that the tire blowout wasn't covered. I asked to speak to the manager and was hung up on before we even spoke. I also called them when they opened and the entire staff was in a meeting at the same time, so there was nobody that could help me. They also messed up our car registration. When we went to buy the car the finance guys office was next to us and he kept dropping g the f-bomb. DO NOT EVER BUY FROM HOLLY KIA. THEY WILL LIE, STEAL, AND CHEAT TO GET YOU TO BUY FROM THEM.

Holly Kia of Felton and Selbyville had an engine problem in some of the cars and it left folks stuck. My engine croaked right in the middle of an intersection, and I barely made it across. They claim they'll pay back the rental fees once the repair is done. But they're also saying it might take weeks or even months to swap out the engine. Most folks can't cough up the cash for a rental on their own, and the engine maker should be the one covering it. Their way of doing business and how they treat customers is seriously lacking.

I got a problem with a new car (400 miles) where the wipers ain't working right. When I brought it in, they said no warranty work 'cause I put in a radar detector. That's a clear violation of the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act, in my opinion. I took it back, knowing they won't honor the warranty, and they wanted to replace a part that's already been replaced. Since May, I've been waiting for a GAP refund from Selbyville Holly Kia. It's supposed to be over $990. They said it would be mailed to me in 6 weeks, which seemed strange because other dealerships just give a check. I dealt with a guy named John, who said he would send it. But after waiting for over 8 weeks, I still didn't have anything. I called the dealership and Agnes told me that John got fired, so that's why I haven't received the check. She said it would be there in a few weeks, not 6. Well, it's been 3 weeks and still no check. The dealership is now praising John, even though he's not there anymore. I can't get anyone to help me with this issue. They keep giving me the runaround and ignoring my calls. All I want is the money that they owe me. I have all the documents to prove it. It makes me wonder if they're short on money and can't give it to me, or if someone there took my refund for themselves.

On April 25, I bought a 2020 Kia Optima Ex at Holly Kia in Felton, DE. I traded in a 2017 Kia Optima and was told I didn't gotta worry 'bout any return fees 'cause I was tradin' it in. Startin' in June, I started gettin' phone calls from Kia Motor Finance sayin' I owed a $428.00 disposition fee. I called the dealership right away, talked to Ben Braband, and he said don't sweat it, ignore the calls, we gonna take care of it. In September, Kia Motor Finance put a 30 day past due on my credit, droppin' my credit score from 832 to 732. I been talkin' to 'em all the time and I got all the paperwork 'bout this situation, all I want is my credit fixed. The bad mark still on my credit and I done lost thousands of dollars payin' more for my purchases 'cause of the credit drop. This dealership gotta be held accountable for this 'cause I did everythin' like a responsible citizen to get this fixed. They should be ashamed of themselves.

Once the upgrade was completed, my car's check engine light started flashing and it lost power. I called AAA and had the car towed back to Holly Kia. The service department rudely refused to help, claiming they were only "authorized" to install the upgrade. I was without a car for 5 days, trying to resolve the issue with Holly Kia. Despite multiple phone calls where they denied assistance, they finally told me, "You can either get a new engine or buy a new car. Those are your choices." When I declined, they cursed at me and hung up. Worried that they might sabotage my car, I had it towed to a trustworthy repair shop.

I got a car from Selbyville Holly Kia on 9/12 with salesman ***. They got an electronic 'payoff' for my old car, but not the 'dealership payoff'. This has caused a lot of stress for me. If it's not fixed by 10/31, it could hurt my credit. Kia sent the 'client payoff' instead of the 'dealership payoff', so there wasn't enough money to pay it off. Now they don't want to pay the 'dealership payoff' and they want to send a check on my behalf to buy the car. They're trying to avoid paying extra money, but it's not fair to me. They're ignoring the situation they put me in. Volkswagen, the other creditor for my old car, keeps calling me about late payments and fees. Kia is handling this in an unethical and unprofessional way. They should have resolved it by now. They should have overnighted the payoff to the other creditor and relieved my stress. This has been the worst experience I've had in over 20 years of buying and leasing cars. Also, when I got the car, there was some overspray on the passenger side that is stuck in the paint. The salesman took pictures of it, but it still hasn't been fixed. I left a voicemail about it, but haven't gotten a response. The ongoing issue with the payoff and the consequences I'm facing as a consumer are more important.

I made an online appointment with Selbyville Holly Kia on 03/30/2022 for 04/05/2022. I dropped off my vehicle at the dealership before they opened on 04/05/2022. I asked them to keep me updated on their diagnostic testing, but they didn't do that. They said they didn't think it was necessary, but I had to be the one making calls. On 04/11/2022, I contacted them to see if they had made any progress. I told them I would pick up my vehicle the next day (04/12/2022). On the morning of 04/12/2022, they called me and said they needed two more hours to work on it. I didn't agree to pay for two more hours of "diagnostic" time because my vehicle had already been at the dealership for six days, not counting the weekend. According to the bill, they only worked on my vehicle for two hours during those six business days. If this was going to be an issue, they should have told me that they needed my vehicle for a long time. Since I didn't have any other transportation, I had to make daily arrangements, which was really inconvenient. First of all, they didn't have loaner vehicles, and my insurance didn't cover rental cars for maintenance, only for accidents. Lastly, they overcharged me. It wasn't a lot of money, but I think they did it on purpose. They didn't provide any information about the time they spent on my vehicle, only the total charge. When I did the math, it didn't add up with the rate they charged. How many other customers have they cheated? I'm sure I'm not the first, considering their "F" rating from the ComplaintsBoard.com. It seems like Holly Kia doesn't care about complaints and doesn't value their customers. Be careful if you decide to go there!
