Shaw's incorrect pricing at checkout on digital coupons

The last 2 visits, I have had to have digital coupon prices corrected . The very first time it happened, I figured my loss and did nothing about it. The 2nd time it happened was a month or so ago...it was about a $15 discrepancy. The latest was 3/1/2023. There was an $8.51 discrepancy. I did get a credit both times...but I should not have to check my receipts to be sure I am charged correct sale prices and have to waste my time getting it corrected.

Desired outcome: Correct your computers to recognize if a digital coupon has been "clipped".

Shopped at Shaw's today Feb 14th at approximately 2:30 PM, one cashier open, no others even at the service desk over 12 people waiting in line with what looked like no chance of any register opening. Cashier came back from lunch and opened register immediately (thank god for her)! This store needs "self - checkouts" installed as this is not the first time...

Shaw's Payment...

Hello,

Since my cell phone was damaged and was not working well, my son made a connection with another provider, Stundup Wireless.
But since then and until today, I am very dissatisfied with this service, the Internet connection is very weak and there are constant interruptions, as a result of which the mobile phone is constantly restarting.
I don't know if there is still an opportunity to return to your service, but you will have to provide me with another cell phone, because as I told you, it was damaged and does not work well.

Shaw's Entire store

My daughter and myself have been shopping at Shaw's for years and years. Recently it has gotten worse and worse. Advertised items are not in stock and when you ask about it (mainly meats) all you get is the truck hasn't come in even though I shop at 7:30 on Sunday morning and the ad has been in effect since Friday. Today was kind of the last straw, everyone seemed to be stocking the aisles which they do every Sunday. Blocking the aisles so you can't even get to the merchandise. Today there where aisles I could not even get through with the shopping cart so I had to skip these aisles even though I wanted some things. The real deal that got me was when I tried to get some eggs and the young man really became annoyed with me when I was trying to find the eggs that went with the rewards program. He kept giving me dirty looks and walking away huffing. I know he has to stock but I am there to shop. I'm so sorry things have gotten so bad and that I may have to rethink my shopping place. I feel like an intruder and nuisance in your store!

Desired outcome: Stock overnight or very early in the morning and have your staff trained to not be inconsiderate, mean, and unhelpful.

Shaw's Deli inappropriate conduct

I’m a regular customer of shaws especially the Deli department. I’ve gotten to know everyone there by name and their positions. I must say how sick I feel at the moment I saw both the deli manager and her girlfriend and coworker in an inappropriate position in what was a black jeep in the shaws parking lot. This is not how management should be acting.

Desired outcome: It would be nice if these two were reprimanded for their actions as this is inappropriate, unprofessional and against shaws policy of individuals in relationships working in the same department. I’m appalled but this whole thing!

You sound like a serious creeper. Mind your own business,weirdo. If the two are not married there are no policies about dating your coworkers and working in the same department. You sound like you want in and they made u take a number. Just wow. 😂

I grabbed some wings from the wing bar and noticed the wings had actual feathers on them. I’m talking still attached to the chicken and sticking out. Once I noticed this I got sick to my stomach. I said something to the girl who was cooking them. She had piercings and a gothic like look. Wearing a hoodie she told me to “deal with it” she then continued to play with her phone.

Shaw's Dunkin donuts coffee overcharged - so upset

I was just there and got my groceries and when I got home I looked at the receipt I though I was overcharge. And yes I was... I bought 4 boxes of 10 DD Kcups original blend and the price on the shelf was 5.99 that is why I bought 4 but then I was charged 9.99e If I knew I would have bought the big box for less.

Shaw's Poor, old product - meat dept

I shop regularly at the Shaws located on North Main St. in Fall River MA. This last Saturday 12/3/22 I purchased a family package of hamburger. The label indicated it was packed on 12/2/22 and sell through date of 12/4/22. I put the hamburger in my fridge on Saturday 12/3/22 with the intentions of using it the following day 12/4/22. When I pulled it out of the fridge on Sunday 12/4/22 the meat was completely brown on the outside and the vast majority of the inside.

I have attached photos of this nasty beef for your reference. The final picture I have attached is of hamburger I purchased on Oct. 31, 2022 that was in my freezer. The meat that is 2 months old clearly looks 100 % fresher than the meat I purchased the day before on 12-3-22. I have filed a similar complaint regarding this store some time ago and the problem appeared to be corrected. As much of a pain in my [censored] it is to shop at Stop and Shop in Somerset MA. It appears that I have no choice. Food is expensive enough as it is but to have to throw away ground beef that you just paid $13.00 for the previous day is definitely a breaking point.

Shaw's Deli service/food

Literally the past few weeks when I go into the shaws grocery store in middlebury Vt after 3pm which is when I get out of work. That place is a mess. First off you have who I believe is the manager who is always saying she’s going for a smoke break, comes back and doesn’t wash her hands and jumps right in to handling food.

The other girl that’s usually there I haven’t seen before so I think she is new. Gothic girl with giant holes in her ears. She doesn’t wear a hat or hair net, no washing of hands or changing gloves when she goes from raw meat to cheese or slicing meat. She’s another one who is a constant smoker.

Very rude and messy. Those slicers are really dirty and my meat I get has black pieces of whatever kind of meat was sliced before. I filed a complaint with the Dept of health and food safety. The deli is always closed before 6pm so I have to rush to get there so I can have time to get what I need.

Desired outcome: Haul out that deli. Fire people who are not following guidelines or policy as this is a constant issue I see every time I go in there which is 5 times a week in the evening.

I work until 3pm every day so when I go do grocery shopping after that the customer service desk is always closed and the deli shortly after that time. No one is ever in the bakery or meat department either. I am so fed up with this place I can never get the help I need or buy the products I want. The deli is an absolute chaotic mess. Disgusting and filthy. The manager is a smoker and that’s all I can smell in her when she cuts my meat. I’ve never once seen her wash her hands after returning to the deli. From what I’ve seen the slicers they use are so nasty and never get cleaned. the most frustrating thing is half of their products are moldy and out dated not to mention their coolers are always broke and don’t keep food cold. I’m just never going back there again!

Shaw's Misinformation meat department also front end missed a bag of my order

This morning I shopped at store 428 because I was waiting for the pharmacy to open for a special prescription. While shopping the meat department I was looking for the just for u special on london broil. I could not find any so I asked for help. The seafood person was nice enough to help and brought out a cart from back and could not tell which product was on sale. Someone from the meat department came out and said here. I took the package and left. When I got home the package was top round steak not top round london broil. So therefore I did not receive the right price... Then I discover a bag from my order was missing. The bagger or cashier did not put it in my carriage I would return to the store but I live 25 miles away, the only reason I shopped there was for the pharmacy. I am very disappointed of the knowlege of the meat person (or he did not care) and the lack of attention of the front end personell. I always shop at the cohasset or marshfield store since I live in scituate mass and love the experience. I was at the store this morning at 9:08 am the cashier was greg the numbers on reciept are [protected] bar code on bottom is 000042800600502211190908. Shaw's Grocery manager store# 1430 medway ma

I am an employee at shaws medway. Looking to leave soon as I have a better opportunity and finish school until then I have been in the grocery department as one of the main recievers and have been at this store for 3 and half years. I am 24 yrs old and not afraid to speak up. Our manager Steve Mcissac is very unprofessional. We understand we're short staffed and it gets to be alot on one person but he hangs up on his employees mid sentence if you call out even if it's an emergency. I had just had a concussion many months back and was very nauseous and stuck on the couch one day I had called to call out and was explaining what was going on and mid sentence dial tone. Today a co worker of mine had an emergency with his pet that may or may not require surgery and was urgent. Dog btw. And same thing he hangs up mid sentence. Very un professional. When I had first transfered from deli to grocery was in deli the first 2 years I liked Steve. He seemed very nice and always said hi to me before I was in his department. Not even 2nd week I'm grocery maybe 3rd soon as I made a small mistake such as maybe put a wrong item on a pallet like once he asked me to put one item on a pallet with another and then another pallet separate with differnt items and basically I made a human mistake and juat mixed up one of the items and put it not where he wanted me to. His tone was just very negative and off putting. And each and every time soemtjing like this happens I would get more and more of a frustrated vibe. I began to feel like I couldn't ask him questions even tho again was new ish to his department still. Over time this got worse and now if I ever need to ask a follow up question or forget maybe what he told me to do pr how forget even asking a second time because it's either a very off-putting like what's erong with u ate you stupid type vibe. I also am transgender and have been on hormones for quite some time and I was earlier in the year getting naturally weaker from being on estrogen and testosterone blockers. One day and others I was moving a few heavy items in a cariage instead of carrying them down the isle because they were too heavy and he walks by and goes what did I say about using the carriage and was very sarcastically what are those to heavy for you while being ignorant as well like I'm not doing my job. I was moving items from my boat to the carriage to wheel them down to the other end of the isle and they were all items close together. I was working still efficiently yet I got that. I now could care less to be nice to him or even do my job well. I do bare minimum to not get fired now I get paid 17 an hr. Can't make a living or barely so I learned it's not worth my mental health or even self respect to take that. I plan to finish my courses and get away from this store soon as possible but like everyone else I have bills car payment rent family to support etc. At the end of the day it's [censored]ty shaws a very poor managed store and skemthing needs to be done by this company about managers like this. Steve mcissac should not have a management position in my opinion he gets [censored] done but it's no wonder they can't keep but rwo or three of us in that department.

Shaw's Weekly flyer for a week ending November 3rd 2022

Being a senior citizen and not getting my only check for the month until the 3rd or so of the month it's sad that this week's flyer all the coupons for Shaw's for u all expired in 3 days. Please take into consideration that you have a lot of elderly shoppers here in the Nashua New Hampshire area. A lot of us do most of our shopping the beginning of the month.

Shaw's Front end of shaws supermarket in braintree, ma 02184

I am a customer in this store and the poor cashier is the only one working. the employees and manager of the store is ganging up on this person. Nobody will open another register when the line is long. I am sending the names of these people at the front they are as follows: Angela Perkins the store manager I saw her bump into one of the employees on Sept. 27th 2022 at 8:40 am. Marylou Toma she goes on a coffee run daily, she also does her on company and has another employee ring up her order on register 8, on her number, she also goes and gets something to eat for the front to go with their coffee without paying for it. Dena Noone is at the service desk and the cash drawers are always short. Donna works at the self-service and she gives the cashier that is there at 6 am a hard time they all stand around and make this cashier to everything. The group of employees are very disrespectful to the customers when they ask to open another register. Lesley front end manager she is very rude and she is suppose too be a manager. Marylou also was out of work for over a week and did not come back with a doctor's note. Mark is another one who is very rude to customers. He is the manager of everyone at the front end. Mark and Dena and others are always late and don't punch in.

Desired outcome: I would like to have this addressed asap!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Shaw's Expired food on the shelves

Tonight my 7 year old child and I were eating frozen frittatas I JUST bought from Shaws this week, and I felt like they were a little off from normal texture-wise. I checked the expiration date, and it turns out they had a use by date of November 2021 (it is currently August of 2022).

If this was the first time I had purchased expired food from this shaws I would still be upset, but I probably would have just returned it. In the last three months I have purchased yogurt, orange juice, and other egg products that have been expired. Every time I go into the store I find something that is already expired. For more specific examples of expired foods I saw on the shelves at Shaws, I recently noticed several Noosa honey yogurts, a good amount of the goat cheese brands (and other cheeses), pre-sliced lunch meat, and much more.

I am a non-confrontational go-with-the-flow person, but this is a serious health hazard. It is only a matter of time before someone gets really sick - and it may just be me and my son after eating food that expired almost a YEAR ago!

If you would like a picture of the Jimmy Dean frozen frittatas I will take one and attach it, but all you have to do is go to the store and look through the perishables to find examples of expired food. I find expired food every time I am there.

Desired outcome: I would like products to be stocked according to FIFO, and expired products removed in a timely manner. Not sure if the address is entered correctly below - for your information this is the Shaws at 1175 Main St, Clinton, MA.

Shaw's Meats

I was at shaws on aug 9. I bought ribs , package said sell by aug 10. Came home and put directly in the freeze. Thawed them in the frig so i could cook them. And they smelled so bad. They were no good. You really need to be more careful with your meats. People can get sick. Not to mention the cost. People work hard for their money and to throw food away is awful.

This is the 2nd time I brought pink lady apples and they looked big. Bit into it and it was sooo bitter that I cut inside and saw brown. Threw all of them away. Shaws has gone down hill.

Shaw's Employees/expired food

Your employees are ignorant and blatantly rude to customers with store manager watching it all and laughing it off. Your produce and rotten and expired. Its clear that this store has given up, nobody is actually there to work, its a snowflake hangout for kids. I have witnessed employees going through customer data and talking about reporting them to the state so there kids are taken away. This is highly illegal and I will be contacting the proper authorities after this is completed

Shaw's Krista Springfield Vermont

Went to Shaws (Springfield Vt) this morning 7:02am, door was unlocked, but did not open. I pushed on the door, thinking it was stuck (I have seen that before), sure enough the door opened automatically & I walked in.

I was met by Krista, who angrily told me,

1, I had broken the door

2. The store was not open

3. Get out!

I was shocked & explained that I did not break the door; Kistra went into a speech about being tired of people coming into the store before it was open, etc.

etc. etc.! My response to this rude and unprofessional behavior was measured and equally as blunt!

After a moment I felt badly and went to Krista and told her that I was sorry I had upset her.

Krista continued in the unprofessional manner, until I asked for the manager, I was told that she was in charge!

Desired outcome: Guys, I didn’t do anything to deserve this type of nonsense! I am not a kid, I am not an employee , I AM A CUSTOMER and deserve to be treated as such! Krista needs some training!

Shaw's Customer treatment

I am an ex-employee.. I left if my own accord. I left because I was being paid LESS than new hires I was involved in helping to train (get up to speed). I believed than, and still believe, that I was discriminated against because of my age (63). I brought my dissatisfaction to the acting store manager (Mike) after he approached me while shopping at Shaws Norwood after calling in "not feeling well" for two days. "Not feeling well" is not synonymous with "sick". In seven months working these were the only days for which I called in.

Mike asked me to give him the opportunity to "fix" things and I said I had given him my two weeks notice and that that gave us plenty of time to talk as I intended to honor the two weeks notice as a gentleman ought. I, in fact, worked my entire schedule per my notice and promise. During that two weeks a series of changes occurred which prevented Mike from talking with me and resolving the issue. He left for his new position in Waltham and put in a 50 cent raise for me. This raise did not cover even half of the difference berween myself and the newer employees. It seemed to me to be a 'take it or leave it' since Mike never found time to sit down and talk to me as we had intended.

I am a customer only now and although I vehemently feel that I was unfairly treated I have had no inclination or intention to pursue this in any legal venue. But today a cashier (Roberta) with whom I have always enjoyed a friendly relationship told me she did not want me to come through her line any more. My vehement position about discrimination by Shaws she called "condemning us" . Her misguided interpertation and her misguided loyalty are unnecessary to her function and a temptation to me to call a lawyer.

How, in times like these, when companies across the board are desperate for help we (Shaws and I) should have ever come to this point is inexplicable. I was energetic, punctual, eager to learn and improve, a team player, and was always willing to work on off days or early as needed. I liked the job, the people and was a loyal customer long before I was ever an employee. I do not deserve anybody's scorn least of all a cashier's. I am sending this to emphasize that I cannot allow myself to be mustreated in this manner. Thank You

Shaw's Store

Friday June 3rd at 8:30pm.

Doug the manager was asked about the floor cleaner because it says over 79 decibels and they were using it around people trying to buy stuff in the store. Doug the manager was asked if they could shut it off. Doug’s response was we are the only store in Randolph to sell food we own this town and we can do as we pleas! OSHA can’t stop or fine this store eather.

Shaw's Shaws delivery

I placed an order for delivery and I did not think to look at the notes/didn’t think it would save from previous orders. I had written a notes for my previous delivery to deliver after 7:45 pm and my order window then was 7-9 pm. My order delivery window for my most recent order was 9-10 am and I wanted to be sure they wouldn’t get confused by this note so I chatted with an online chat representative and he said he would make a note to the driver saying they can deliver during that window and to delete the part about delivering it at 7:45 PM. I’m assuming he misunderstood me because the order was still not delivered at 10 am. So I decided I should just cancel the order at 10:30 am. I spoke with a online representative at 10:35 am (Jackson) and he confirmed that it was canceled. I was contacted by the Franklin MA shaws and I spoke with someone and they said they would cancel it at 1PM. The guy who was on the phone was very rude and yelling at me. He also kept speaking over me and wouldn’t allow me to explain that I had just spoke with a rep over online chat to change the note so they would deliver within the 9am-10am window. I’m assuming he was frustrated so he had another women call me (a coordinator) and I verbally told her I wanted to just cancel the order. She confirmed that she would cancel it. I wanted to triple check my order was canceled so spoke with another chat bot (Shirlene) and she confirmed it would be canceled. I still got the order delivered at 7 PM. I spoke with a representative over the phone and he was able to cancel it. I had to speak to 3 chat bots, 2 people who worked at the franklin shaws location and 1 representative over the phone to get my order canceled. My order number was [protected]

Desired outcome: I just needed my order to be canceled but the process was confusing and difficult.
