Website for ordering groceries is awful...
I spent an hour picking groceries only to find that upon checking out, I can't get past entering my credit card information. The month/year and the zip code are grayed out which means the "continue" button is also grayed out. When I called to get help, it took 15 minutes to get a live human on the phone. And she was no help. She just told me to shut everything down - including my computer - and start over. Just signing out and signing back in made me lose my pick-up time. AND the options are still grayed out which means I cannot place my order. What a waste of time. Back to Roche Brothers. I guess the reason they cost so much more is because their website actually works.
Desired outcome: Nothing anymore.
storage bage 2 for 1 sale
Shaw's storage bags were posted sale sign that read by one get one for free at Shaws in Medfield. At the register I was charged full price for both. When I pointed this out, I was not offered the sale price. I returned both storage bags.
Shaws needs to do a better job of programing their checkout registers to reflect sale pricing.

front end manager
I was in your Springfield, VT store #2531 on Friday, March 11, 2022 @ 10:51am. I was having problems with my foru sale items and the cashier Camille was absolutely wonderful and helpful. The front end person who canceled my order was very short and rude. She should probably not be talking to customers if she is going to be like that. Make sure Camille gets told about how great she was. You are lucky to have someone so helpful like her. Also make sure the front end person gets talked to about her attitude.
On Monday 8/22/2022 at Shaw's store at Springfield VT, I had a stroke 2005, COVID2-3 YEARS ago I decided to go with my wheelchair. Shaw's employee, Krista, she helped me from my grocery list. At the aisle for apple cider vinegar, Shaw's employee, a man told his Shaw's manager, CHRIS (men)"CRAZY WOMAN"; that was ME, very hurt & I told Krista about this; Krista did not reply at all.
I told Shaw's employee, Kathie about Shaw's employee, a man, told Shaw's Manager, Chris 'CRAZY WOMAN". We agree to called Shaw's store.
Twice, I called at Shaw's Store; no answer at all, WHICH is NOT GOOD for CUSTOMER SERVICE. Frankly, take my business elsewhere for groceries.
Also, have several cameras with 8/22/2022 between [protected] aisle 1 apple cider vinegar & I was there with raspberry dress, brunette short hair with purple glasses in my burgundy wheelchair with Krista, Chris, & man's Shaw's employee: like to APOLOGIZE SINCERELY for RUDE behavior. If Shaw's store does call me for Shaw's man employee apologized; however, if Shaw's store never calls me, we'll all I can write is ABSOLUTELY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE at Shaw's & further, I shall NEVER go to Shaw's again & take my BUSINESS ELSEWHERE.

What is Going on? I Am terminally ill and I have been shopping at Shaw's in Randolph ma Since 1972! Granted I know we are trying to recover from an awful pandemic, however your store is naked it looks like it's going out of business you offer things that are on sale I go there first thing in the morning on Friday and the shelves of beer with the sale tags! You don't even have Shaw's spring water

Bacon rapped scallops
The bacon rapped around the scallops is brown and grey. That’s not food safe at all. I do had ate it I would be in the hospital right now. This needs to be taken care of.
Desired outcome: Check in and inspect more often and some type of coupon compensation or something.

I stopped going to this Shaws. on Belmont Street in Brockton for a while since there were so many issues with this store. I wss in a hurry so I planned on stopping here quickly since I had a bunch of rewards. I did my shopping quickly which was not easy since they are tearing up all the isles and have items all over the place a real safety issue. I got to the register and there was only 1 register open with a line going around the corner. I looked at the self checkout and there was a line there also. Plus you cannot get cash back at self checkout so you have to go through the register. I asked a employee why there's only 1 register open and she said nobody wants to work. I ended up leaving and going to Vicentes.
I Guess It Is Every Shaw's! What A shame I Loved Shaw's! Albertsons have taken over everything has gone downhill the price is the sky high and like I said there is absolutely no stock! The thing that gets me the most is to advertise things on sale and go there first thing Friday morning the tags are there for the sale but there's no items the shelves are naked! And not to have them in their brand name items available! On top of the fact the employees are so mean and so angry!

Over the past several months I have witnessed many confrontations during shopping & checkout by a particular employee there named "ALEX". This person is rude, highly aggressive and dangerous.
I have seen him threaten other employees and cause loud verbally abusive arguments. I am a victim of this employees malcontent & agressive bad attitude.
During shopping last evening, 12/23/21, I was acosted by this same employee "Alex" as he was again nasty, swearing & highly aggressive and in an extremely vile & violent manner. It was loud & very "public". It was an embarrassing situation and demeaning.
Several days ago, while shopping I (again) saw this same male employee "ALEX" fighting publicly in the front of the store with a 16 year old female, yelling violently, swearing at her causing a scene that invovled other employees trying to stop him. He harrasses others while and during work, particularl;y during checkouts. Terrible, atrocious attitude.
After speaking with managers there, it appears they haven't terminated his employment because "They are hurting for help" at the store.
This is appalling, inconsiderate of patrons and this employees onging flailing, yelling and volitile verbal attcks on myself as weel as the 16 year old employee female is disgusting and hugely irresponsible of the store to allow it to escalate numerous times and still continue.
Numbers of other patrons have had similar complaints about this individual "ALEX" to managers therem without action or resolve.
After speaking with another manager I learned that his vile & violent outbursts are ongoing and they have "warned him" dozens of times. That he was "on notice". That was several 'events' ago!
This employee is highly aggressive, rude and constantly swearing publicly, verbally, loudly and has continued this charade for months. This is NO WAY to operate or manage a grocery store. This person should have had his employment terminated months ago, and this is also according to many other employees as well.
Its a terrible thing to experience, the vile language, engaging argumentatively with patrons/customera and with other employees.
This is hugely unacceptable and ceratinly NOT isolated to any one event and outburst by this employee. He should NOT be employed by Shaws and certainly not around customers.
This is disgusting and continues to "somehow" evade actions.
Desired outcome: This individual should be terminated from this employment immediately.

I usually don't complain but felt the need to say something. I was in the Shaws store in orleans, MA. last week and had a rather disappointing experience with a cashier. The woman didn't make eye contact the entire time, mumbled under her breath and didn't say hello or goodbye. It was rude and made me uncomfortable. She needs to work on her customer service skills. Her name tag said Corrine I believe. She was tall and average build, probably about 40 years old.
I don't need a phone call or a coupon or anything, I just want this woman to be spoken to about proper customer service. Thank you for your time.
Please have a conversation with the cashier so that she doesn’t make anyone else feel uncomfortable too.

I was surprised and disappointed this morning to see that one of the workers at The deli counter at Shaws in Cohasset was not wearing a mask despite the fact that they are constantly handling food, meat slicers etc. Apparently masks are "optional" with employees at Shaws in Cohasset since most employees there wear a mask but about ten percent do not.
In another odd twist Shaws is now strongly encouraging customers to bring their old Shaws marked grocery fabric bags with them when they come to shop[. Why? This is a very risky way for Shaws to save a few pennies while exposing its customers to the risk of the Covid Pandemic.
Why doesn't the health and well being of your customers to say nothing about your fellow employees matter? Have you somehow missed the fact that a new Covid varient is on the rise?
Have you done nothing to educate your employees about Covid 19?
Desired outcome: Shape up and take the new rise in Covid 19 seriously.

Saturday afternoon I went to the shaws in franklin, as I was going to checkout, the cashier was on her cell phone texting, did not even say hello...the cashier was an older women, and extremely rude, no high, how are you. As I left I said thank you, and nothing was said back, not even a look. I felt as if I was being a bother to both the cashier and the bagger.
Checkout clerks
Disappointing to say the very least on how some of the cashier clerks are being trained.
From obvious eye rolling when someone forgets their number to get their savings to not even saying your basic thanks while they get their receipt.
It's just basic, common curtesy. I've even witnessed some cashiers walk away and not attempt to bag, just completely walk away without a thank you or excuse me while a person left struggling with packing stuff.
They behave as if we're ruining their lives by shopping there.
Misleading ad
I went to my local Shaws in Wakefield MA to grab a few things. I picked up the flyer and saw a few items on sale for 3 days. It said something about digital discount which I never heard of. I picked up two packages of roast beef and a bag of red grapes because of the sale prices. When I got to the register I learned I had to register online and apply for the discount ahead of time. Really? Is that even legal? I left the items with the cashier, paid for my order and went to the service desk. The girl there was clearly not interested in my complaint and didn't hide it. I know she has no control and she doesn't make the policy but geez at least have some empathy. It appears Shaws doesn't want my business which is good to know because there are lots of options in my area. Why do you hassle your customers and make them play your stupid game? You love to boast no more coupons but you came up with other hassles. Are millennials running the show there?
Desired outcome: Give me the damn sale prices as advertised! Of course I would have to go back which pisses me off even more.

I was targeted, profiled, conspired against, plotted on, lied to as the victim of a systemic process of hate. African American employees are completely prohibited and not allowed at this store. You can inhale the hate when you enter the store. How they've managed to get away with this ignorant nonsense is a mystery. Terrible, environment, horrible atmosphere, very bad people. Not only embracing but displaying extreme hate and racism, they should certainly be exposed and punished. Although wrongfully terminated, I never want to go near the place again!
