Unauthorised removal of funds from my AMEX card
I have discovered today that this company has been taking £9/month from my AMEX card for the last 8 months without my consent. Apparently according to AMEX ccompanies typically in the travel industry (they quoted EasyJet to me), in their T's&C's they have a tick box somewhere in there that if you do not tick you are automatically signed up to this company.
Be aware...this is happening more and more and is according to AMEX Not illegal, they are simply making use of the fact that few people these days go through the T's&C's to any detail as we have all become more TRUSTING of the Internet. Their address is
54, Lambard Street
London
EC3V9EX
Please feel free to mail them.
Since discovering this, I have lso discovered that companies such as SYMANTEC (I qoute this one as they did it to me) are providing tick boxes in T's&C's which if you DONOT tick means you are signing up to automatic renwells. They refuynded me but in general we should all be aware that Internet Shopping is NOT as SAFE as we have all been led into believing over the last few years...BE AWARE READ T'S&C's.

Unauthorised payments from my account
On closely checking my internet bank account i noticed a pattern of £10 each month since February being taken from my account. This appears to have started after ordering flowers through Interflora for my aunt in Ocean City, Maryland, USA following a bereavement. I have contacted them to cancel and will see what happens but I would like a refund and for people to be alerted to this scam

When I ordered recycled cartridges from InkJet superstore.com, a window popped up for a $10 discount. I completed the application because I thought I had to complete the form in order to get the discount. Should have known better since InkJetsuperstore.com already had ALL my data, so why would I complete it again. My question is, WHY do what I would consider reputable online businesses allow this type of ripoff of the consumer? Lucky for me, I caught the $12 charge to my credit card immediately and followed up with Shoppers Discount. On 12/6/2010 I talked with Patricia and explained I had NO intention of paying $12 every month for a discount on" I didn't know WHAT!" She was VERY NICE, explained I had completed the form, had my email address on file, I explained I didn't realize I would be getting charged every month whether or not I got a discount on anything or not. She agreed to take off the charges on my credit card. This is such a smooth operation, very accomodating to removing the charges, but how many never get removed and they make a ton of money. My OTHER CONCERN - if they are this unscrupulous, they now have my credit card information and IF they ever get shut down, they can open up another company and have millions of credit card numbers.
LESSON LEARNED - NEVER sign up for anything other than what you are ordering. This company is making millions on innocent subscribers like me. ALWAYS check your credit card statements and verify EVERY charge on the statement. Joanne Leonard
I have been Through this before with these people. I was able to get a phone number the last time. I cannot find one this time. This is stealing! So far I have found more than one 12.00 credit stolen! Last time it was numerous. My job takes me away from my home & I did not catch it as soon last time. I want my money! I did not give permission for this.
I accidentally enrolled in the shopper discont program May of 2007 while trying to quickly purchase tickets from Fandango. In June I noticed the charges and called the company to have my membership cancelled. It took me awhile to find out that they had switched my enrollment to anothe DBA reservation rewards and continued charging my account 10.00 per month up until February 2010, it is hard to believe that it would be possible to scam hard working people by slowly charging individuals and get away with such a farce, and in addition reputable company's would allow them to do so with their blessing. I will no longer purchase anything from company's associated with this artful scam artist. It would be different if the company actually offered a product but as far as I can tell thier only product is coupons I can find anywhere on the web.
I recently checked my account and found that the company called Shoppers discount has deducted £10 out of my bank without my knowledge.
I do not remember being a member and even if I were, what am I paying them for?
I wish to take this further as this is theft!
I do not buy anything from them, how they even got my bank details, I do not know..
My lawyer needs to hear this, I am on a low income and can not make ends meet as it is, what more when a company decides to swindle me of my hard earnd £10?
I discovered Shoppers Discount has been charging me 12.00 per month on my credit card. I never authorized this and have absolutely no idea how they obtained my cc number. Since my daughter uses the same card for legitimate college expenses and doesn't always tell me what she ordered I never noticed the extra charge for something that had appeared legitimate. I have subsequently discovered that this company pulls this scam on other consumers, hoping they do not notice. MasterCard provided minimal help, as they tell me they only cancel the last charge, not previous ones which had been paid.
I was contacted by someone in the company saying I had just been selected to recive a free $250 gas card and a $50 wal-mart card. I asked where they got my number and he siad i must have given it to wal-mart. I told him I have never given my number to wal-mart and he said well i don't know mam but you are recieving this for free. He went on to tell me about this and then told me all i needed to do was pay the $3.90 shipping fee. When I told him I could not understand his accent very well he put his ceo of the company on right away. NOw what ceo of a company is standing right there. So then when I asked him where they got my number he said from some goverment agency. The CEO of the company started to become upset with me and was very rude to me when i said I was not going to give him my credit card number. He raised his voice and said "do you not understand what i am telling you? you can get a $250 gas card here all you have to do is pay the shipping!" While he was on the phone i was researching this company and found this web site. So I told him he was a fraud and this was a scam and not to call me again and I hung up. He then called back and asked what happend and I hung up again. So far he has not called back.
This company has taken £10 twice from my account in May and June 2012. I don't know them. I have never signed a direct debit or standing order with them and neither do I have any contracts with them. I've written to them by email - no response. How do I get my money back? To make matters worse, I re-quoted my bank details in the email because my bank could give me no reference number for them.
Since booking easy jet flight last year cannot stop shoppers-discount taking money from my account
never bought anything form SHOPPERDISCOUNT.C and I am charge 8 pounds every mounth - for what!
£10 a month has been taken out of my account without my permission
Unauthorised debit
I have had a number of payments of £10 debited from my account without my authorization. I believe this may have happened when I have made purchases on the internet when looking to find a discount code, but I have no idea as to how they got my account details. I urge internet shoppers to be aware of this scam.
I have contacted the bank to file an official complaint and try and get a refund.

Fraudulent charges
The problems likely started when I bought something from Buy.com, and somehow my Amex account started getting billed $12.00 by Shoppers Discount. Charges in the same amount were also placed on my Amex account by a similar company, Reservation Rewards.
Altogether these companies placed approximately $180.00 on my Amex card. Amex has reversed some, but possibly not all of the charges (I need to spend more time scrutinizing some previous Amex statements.
These companies are affiliated with a Norwalk, CT-based company called WebLoyalty.com
I have reported these unauthorized charges to the office of my State Attorney General's Consumer Protection Division.
Folks, these are hard times. With the economy in meltdown mode, electronic debit scams are a growing problem. Please be vigilant. I had difficulty scrutinizing my financial statements for several months last year because of vision problems that required surgery on both eyes. Don't let these scams happen to you!

Dont' buy anything from BuyItDirect website as they would automatically assign you fraudulent record of Shoppers Discount and then would start stealing money from your card.
money taken from my visa account
Dear complaints board,
Having just read some statements given by people having money taken from their account unwillingly the same thing has happened to me.
shopper discounts has taken eight pounds from my account for ten months, I feel so angry that I just didn't realise, early on.
I contacted the Halifax visa company who has not been very supportive over this matter. they said that i will probably get one months payment back. I had to cancel my so called subscription via an automated phone call to shoppers discounts giving out my visa number,
they had my email address already and have not replied to me via email as they said they would.
my visa company said that if i didn't cancel my subscription I would have to pay the monthly bill even if I cancelled my card. As you can imagine I will cancel my visa when this is sorted out.
I have been with the Halifax for over twenty years and this is the way they treat loyal customers.
please be aware people reading this you are not as protected using your visa via the Internet as you may think.
yours sincerely
elaine .

I just called them and they were reading off a script saying that the when you sign up, the terms and condition page does mention a 30 day trial and a subsequent 10pound fee - which is also mentioned in the confirmation email.
I told them that was not the case and that I should get a refund. She then said she could refund me the last month's fee but I asked politely if she could refund me everything and she said the max she could refund was up to 3 months and anything before that has to be done via a claims form which was emailed to me. They were friendly and polite, no need to be rude!
Re the above comment, I have just phoned shopperdiscount and is all transpired from a previous company I bought from called musicnotes.com. I buy sheet music from them for a few pounds and shopperdiscount say I willingly entered into an agreement with them to join shoppperdiscount and gave them all my credit card details and an electronic signature. She did try to say at first that someone else who has access to my card could have done it but no-one uses my card (unless it had been stolen which it hasn't). I was able to cancel my 'monthly direct debit' of £10 and the person I spoke to agreed to refund me the £10 as I hadn't used the service. I did tell her it was a scam which she denied but at least hopefully I will get the promised refund. It has made me very wary of which boxes I tick and I will never use Musicnotes.com again.
Good luck to everyone else who has unwittingly fallen for this scam.
I purchased some items from M & S online and have just received my credit card bill. I was surprised to see an additional amount of £10 had been taken from my account by shopperdiscounts.co.uk. I would never have given my details to anyone else other than M&S and am about to find out how this was taken and how I can get it back and prevent any more payments being deducted. The only reason I use a credit card is so I do not have to give my bank account details online and thought it was a safe way of shopping. Obviously not!
I have the same experince as those above. In my case when I used Interflora. Barclays were useless in addressing my complaint. It has taken me 4 months to sort out. Complain to the money grabbing companied who get paid by shoppersdiscount.co.uk to uses their sites to scam us. I will not shop through Interflora again they are co-conspirators in this scam!
I was caught by this after using my Barclays Visa Debit card with EasyJet sixteen months ago. Every time I spotted it on my account (it used a variety of names, some abbreviated) I searched but could never link it with anything I was subscribed to. Two months ago I cancelled the card but two more payments went through. I phoned the freephone number below that I found on this site and was told that 3 months will be refunded into my account immediately and an e mail will be sent with a claim form attached. I was told that by clicking the box for a discount, I gave EasyJet permission to give out my bank details. I will not be using them again. But who is to blame? I took my statement to my bank and was told nothing could be done but to cancel the card, which was not correct. Surely banks should be informed and deal with these cases. I took the operator's number and name so that I can follow it up if necessary. I was careful not to accuse them of scam but said it was bad working practice. But it is a scam.
PHONE THE FREE PHONE NUMBER [protected] and be firm but polite. DC
I got caught by this after using interflora. Call the number above - be polite and firm. Tell them the terms and conditions were NOT made clear. Let them cancel the debit and then tell them that you would like to apply to have the money refunded. They should refund at least a couple of payments without question.
I looked up the internet site shopperdiscount.com and found the telephone number on there site.
PHONE THE FREE PHONE NUMBER [protected] and explain to the operator that at no time would you have agreed that they could take money from your account, no-one would agree to a company having there credit/debit card details and taking money whenever they like. You should not have any problems getting the money back as the operator agreed right away to refund my money. Good Luck
why can't i obtain there number and phone up
I have already posted about this company, and left the telephone number to phone from the u.k . The number is [protected].I had booked a flight through Easy Jet last June and unknown to me as I had ticked a box that flashed up offering a £10 discount off my next flight. Easy jet passed my bank account number to Shopperdiscount.com and they have deducted 11 payments of £8 per month from my bank account. I phoned the above number and was told that under there terms & conditions by ticking the '£10 discount' I was agreeing to the firm deducting £8 a month for the rest of my life. I gave Easy Jet my bank account details in good faith and they had no right to pass these details on without my permission. I have been told I will get 3 months payments refunded into my account immediately and a claim form will be sent out to allow me to reclaim the rest of the money.
unauthorised credit card payments
I have had monthly payments taken from my credit card by Shoppers Discount.co.uk. I have not signed up for this. I rang their telephone automated system and cancelled it today but explanations and how to get re-funds of unauthorised withdrawals is proving impossible.

deductions from my credit card
I booked flights with ebookers and paid by credit card, however since then i have been scammed by a company called shoppersdiscount.co.uk. They have deducted two payments of £10 each from my credit card. I did not authorise this and it is proving very difficult to cancel this monthly deductions. I am furious so beware everyone! I am very very careful when giving my details online but somehow someway this has happened to me so it can happen to anyone. The telephone number i have supplied for this company was given to me by my credit card company. I have used this number to cancel and i can only hope it works.

We booked a hotel through Ebookers in May and now realise that a totally unauthorised withdrawal of £10 each month had been made from our credit card to 'Shoppersdiscounts.co.uk' since then. We shall not be booking any venture through Ebookers in the future and advise others to do the same.
I have bought nothing yet and they have taken 2 payments of £10.00 how do i get hold of this crap company as my credit card company cannot cancel this direct debit which i did not set up
steve
Yes, I booked flights with Ebookers on 23rd Feb 09 and used my credit card. I have recently noticed two deductions of £10 (one on 25th March 09 and one on the 25th April 09.
I contacted my credit card company to query the charge and they instructed me to contact Shoppersdiscounts. I did, but couldn't get any joy. I will need to contact my credit card company ASAP. I know I didn't give my PIN number to this so called Shoppersdiscount - I only completed the transaction with Ebookers - then I was offered a £15 voucher to use against any future flights I may care to book. The rest is history. I will never use Ebookers again!
Margie
I to booked a flight with e-booker and now shoppers discount are taking £10 each month how can they do this.
B.E.A.
I bought a ticket from NATIONAL EXPRESS and got mugged by SHOPPERSDISCOUNT.CO.UK. They tell you, you are entitled to a £15 voucher and mug your credit card withoput warnig or notice. I have made a formal complaint to N-Express and await their reply. BE VIGILANT, THERE IS NO FREE LUNCH IN THIS SOCIETY.

Unauthorised deductions
I have just discovered, late in the day that Shoppers discounts has been drawing $£8.00 per month from my account, since the middle of 2008.
I have never heard of them before, and have certainly never knowingly authorised this payment. I suspect ot goes back to an Easyjet purchase, which I used that particular debit card for quite a lot.
The bank (Barclays) is less than helpful, implying that it is all my fault. They call it a "Continuing Payment Authority" and claim that they are powerless to do anything other than write to Shoppers Discount.com and politely ask them to stop drawing it.
Even closing the account may not achieve the desired effect, although that's what I'm going to do, immediately.
The Bank went on to say that they are well aware that it's a total scam.
So, CAUTION! If you buy from Easyjet, the cost could be a lot higher than you think. Easyjet casn only be described as a willing partner to this fraudulent scam, and in effect so is the Bank.
As a further warning, another unauthorised payment on my account, again apparently a "Continuing Payment Authority", is to GoToMyPC, as a result of running the 30--day trial they offer. I told them I did not with to take up the programme, and indeed when I tried to use it as a check I got the response "Your Trial Period has ended". They are deducting £13.49 per month and once again the Bank says that they cannot bar the payment because, get this...
"We do not know who the payments are going to when they are demanded, we only find that out when it shows on your account 5 days later. So we can't prevent payments going from any particular account to any particular recipient. The payments will only stop when they stop demanding them."
"Even if you know its a complete scam?"
"That's how it is."
Aren't Banks wonderful? Lose trillions of their customers' money on ridiculous investments that a 10-year old could have said were dodgy, pay themselves obscene salaries, get bailed out by the taxpayer, and just cannot prevent payments of their customers' money, held in trust by them, to complete crooks, even when the account holder tells to stop paying out his money.

I am also getting £10 a month deducted from my account. I do not know what it is for.

Unauthorised debit from my Credit Card acount
Dear Sirs
I note that you have deducted £8 from my British Airways American Express Card detailing Mail Order on the 8th January 09.
I never authorised you to deduct from my card nor have I ordered anything over mail order for you to be able to deduct the money without my authorisation.
I am quite taken aback to note that you are able to do such a thing which is totally unethical and alarming from my point of view.
Please refund the money as soon as possible and explain why and how you are able to deduct money from my credit card account without my authorisation so that this does not happen in future.
If i do not hear from you within the next couple of days I shall take the matter up with the Trading Standard Agency.
Yours faithfully

These people took £200 from my Visa credit card over a period of 20 months from November 2009. This resulted from my purchase of a rail ticket from theTrainline.com . I have managed to recover all the money by phoning Shopper Discounts and Rewards and telling them very firmly that I wanted all my money back and would never give up until I got it. I had to sign an "additional refund request" from them to get it. I faxed this document and also sent it by recorded delivery.
I have just seen my account & saw £10 deduction from shoppersdiscount.com, searched them on google & found out they are thieves, I am 100% sure that I have never given my card details to them, recently I bought something first time from amazon.com & this is what has happened to me. I am sure I will get the refunds from my bank & they are the one who will chase them up. please do spread about them & make aware as many people as you can about this scam.
Farhan (London)
I know i didn't subscribe to them, despite what they may say, they access your card number from the purchase information you use to pay for whatever it is you are buying online.
I would never subscribe to this, and i would never do it from my savings account, which is where they have been stealing my money from.
However they may dress this up it is theft. Dont be fobbed up with them trying to persuade you that you did somehow knowingly subscribe, that is total crap and i will not be happy until all my money is refunded and when they are stopped from doing this to unsuspecting people.
I have just realised that I too have been conned. £20 has been deducted from my account without me ever knowing about this firm. I rang them, and they easily agreed to cancel my membership (what membership? I never joined them!) and refund one of the payments. I then had to fight to get the other one back as well, but the girl eventually promised to refund both payments "within the next 10 days." We shall see. Apparently I "joined" at the end of making a booking with Ryanair. Booking with Ryanair is NOT the most pleasant of tasks, but I certainly never knowingly joined anything, and they must have got my details from the Ryanair site. Nasty.
This is happening to loads of us, i have just realised they have been accessing £10 per month for months from my savings account.
I have reported them, and i have contacted Watchdog BBC.
I have also just noticed 10 pound taken out of my account for the last 3 months and i dont know who these people are . Can anybody tell me the number to call and put a stop to this
Yes beware I was taken for £10 by this company in April 2011. I purchase from a Firm J.D.Williams (Premiereman, a reputable firm. However when paying your accopunt a red message comes up, "Click here to receive £10 discount" It does not say that Shooperdiscounts will charge you £10 per month to do so irrespective of whether you have made any purchase or not. Just beware. You can cancell the unwanted membership but it is not easy to do so.

i have also been conned into paying £10 a month i just thaught i was been careful with my money and saving as much as i could as i was buying christmas presents for my kids. i bought clothes from m&m direct and can remember signing up to claim my rewards if i spent so much at certian shops online.
i never gave them any bank details what so ever only just found out they have been taking £10 since september 2010, if i ring and demand a full refund will i get it back?
this is not acceptable and how can these get away with it, its day light robbery and yes this should be stopped.
they sound so convinsing that your saving money but really they are stealng it.
i can believe how many people have fallen for this money trap including myself, im really annoyed with myself now because how stupid have i been but you know the well known saying "IF ITS TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE THEN IT GENRALLY IS!"
THIS SHOLD BE STOPPED BEFORE SOMEONE IS REALLY RIPPED OFF JUST THINK OF ALL THOSE SINGLE PARENTS AND OLD AGE PENTIONERS OUT THERE WHO THINKS THEY ARE SAVING MONEY WHEN REALLY SOMEONE IS RIPPING THERE EYES OUT
I phoned "shopper discounts and rewards" up on [protected]; as I hadn't realised that £50 had been taken from my account. I simply asked for the account to be cancelled, and all money be returned. No fuss.
No need to get aggressive, they seemed quite happy to refund. At the end of the day I didn't read the small print, so essentially it was my fault. Not theirs.
Scam
Just be careful when ordering anything online. If you see anything that says Shopper Discounts and Rewards after you "checkout" through online buying, quickly click out because it may seem like it is still part of AllPosters.com or whatever website you are using and it is not. They do try to trick you and people don't even realize. Then this company takes your credit card info from your order, charges a 1 dollar activation fee and begins charging you 12 dollars a month. I luckily noticed it right away and called to cancel, but just make sure you demand ALL your money back because they will try to tell you that they will cancel it and you will have services for the next month (paying through what they have already taken). Demand they cancel it immediately and demand a refund. There is a website and phone number that has contact information and customer service hours. It is a shame that companies like this make money by taking advantage of people and that companies like allposters.com call themselves partners. There is a website that lists all websites that use Shopper Discounts after "checkout", but just keep your eye out. For more complaints search on this website for Shopper Discounts AND Rewards instead of "&".

Fraudulent Service
When shopping on the TigerDirect.com website beware of the Shopper Discounts & Rewards Membership application. I can’t believe this type of service is allowed to do business. Fraudulent is the only word I can use to describe it. I will no longer be shopping at TigerDirect.com, ever! I have been paying them for many months. It just slips past most people’s radar when looking at the credit card bill. I am totally pissed off at these two companies as well as myself.

Hello,
My name is Elizabeth. I came across your posting when I wanted to know more about this company.
When shopping on the TigerDirect.com website beware of the Shopper Discounts & Rewards Membership application.
Now, do you believe that your heading should be TigerDirect.com and not Shopper Discounts?
Have you thought about maybe TigerDirect signed you up for this company and not Shopper Discounts.
I am sorry, but I have read all the complaints for this company and everyone said that they started at another company first. So I believe that the person that you should inform everyone about is TigerDirect.com
Thank you
Shopper Discounts Scam
I purchased some electroninc items from BUY.com. They popped up a question asking me for discount offers. Thinking that it would be a notification on the products that are on discount, I responded yes.
It eventually went to another company called SHOPPERS DISCOUNT and they are charging me $12 per month for this subscribtion without my knowledge. It started appearing on mey credit Card Statments. Fortunately I came to know when they charged for the second time . I googled about it and found out about this scam on this website. As others have done before I too called the no. that appeared on my credit card statement and asked them to canel my membership and refund the amount deducted. The agreed to refund the money in 3 days but did not said anything on what will be the means to get this refund.
Has anybody who has posted complaints about the same has got refund from them ? If now how to get it and whom to approach ?

We just found out this company was doing this to my husbands ccard since 2008! We have called his ccard company and they told us this is an ongoing SCAM! Great! We have canceled our ccard and got a new #! Hopefully my husband's ccard company will be able to refund this money (under FRAUD) for the last 2 YEARS! Ugh! Btw...first it was $12.00 for a "shoppers discount" then 2 months later it started charging an additional $12.50 for some "rewards program"! My hubby is upset that he didn't notice these charges month after month!
i bought some D&G light blue from Fragrancenet. they sold my info to some rewards company and i was receiving checks for up to 30 dollars for shopping online. At first i didn't know what was going on. i thought that they were rewarding me for spending so much. but when i looked further into it, it was another company. They were deducting money from my bank account. Most of the time it was 12 dollars and sometimes it was a dollar. i just don't know how they can sell your bank info. i had to cancel my credit card and close my bank account.
Top it off by selling me water down perfume. I also bought Brittany Spears perfume. I think that one too was watery. NEVER AGAIN
I bought some flowers on Interflora in November, and never noticed that I was being charged £10 ($16) each month by shoppersdiscount.co.uk (unfortunately, I tend not to look to carefully at my credit card statement). When I did, I went onto their online site and cancelled. I used my email address as my membership number. I then called them up on the phone, the receptionist (or call center operator) agreed to refund my £30 (£10 per month for dec, jan and feb) within 10 working days.
I shall post in ten days to say if I have gotten it back.
I was informed by the 800 number on my visa bill that it was due to a purchase on Fragrancenet.com; even though I did purchase articles I never authorized the shoppers discount enrollment, only sorry I didn't research this sooner. So I may be burned with 3 months charges @ $12 per month. Forward my complaint to Better Business Bureau.

I was just hit with this $12/monthly fee. My info was passed on when I purchased something from allposters.com. I have been told I will be refunded but I don't trust them. I am just upset about all the money they have taken from others.
We need to unite and report all these businesses to the Better Business Bureau. It is not right for our credit card information to be passed on without our permission.
If all of us complaint to the Better Business Bureau we have a better chance for these companies to be shut down.

OH MY GOD! i have been being charged by this scam company sind 12/2007 along with RESERVATION REWARDS
Shopper Discounts and Reservation Rewards are the same company. I am trying to get a full refund as I cannot figure out how i did something so stupid. This is a useless service to me.
I just realized, I have been hit by this scam. Reading all the above responses and comments, I called the 1-800 #. However the representative only helped me partially by providing only half the refund. I remember buying something from Buy.com, but never ever subscribed to ShoppersDiscounts or used any of their services for anything. My experience is similar to other postings, but not sure how I can get my hard earned money back. It's outrageous to rob people of their money in this economy. Does anyone have a way of dealing with these people ? How can they openly steal the money ? Even if they charged the credit card under some pretex, they should refund the money if asked to as someone like me never used their service or directly subscribed them. PL advice.

I just got scammed as well. When we called and asked to have our membership canceled and to be refunded they said that would refund for three of the charges, but there were more charges than that. Did everyone else who complained get fully refunded?
My mother in law just got scammed by this webloyalty program from homedecorators.com. Independent of what Mary O'Reilly writes, this IS a scam and any company that uses this service is perpetrating this scam.
Needless to say, we will never visit homedecorators.com again and will stop using ANY site that offers this webloyalty program.
Unauthorised Deduction
I cannot remember how I came in touch with this company. I never benefitted from any of their services. I think this misfortune began with the order I have placed for some business cards long ago with vistaprint.com online somewhere in June 2008. It was one-off purchase and all transactions were settled. But when I checked my Barclays bank account today I...

My husband ordered from allposters.com, and as part of the check-out, we were offered a $10 discount. Clicking on that link caused our credit card to be charged $12 every month by shopperdiscountsandrewards.com. What a scam! It wasn't until 7 months later that I realized these charges weren't something I'd bought online and forgotten about. Fortunately...

After purchasing on Interflora I was asked if I wished to get £10 discount on future purchases. I agreed and since November 2008 a sum of £10 has been deducted from my current account each month

£10 has been being taken from
My account for some time, I am not aware of what this is for and do not believe I have authorised this.
Please can someone tell me what this is for and how I can go about claiming my money back?
I have had £10.00 a month stopped from by bank account by shopperdisc. for the last two years. obviously with out my knowledge. I have now stopped it but want shopperdisc to give me evidence that I aggreed for them to do this. And to also tell me what benefits or discounts I have been offered by them. This all started when I bought tickets from ryanair.
I have also been coned by this I have been signed up since April last they have taken a £170 in total without me knowing about it, I have managed to get a 3 month refund just by calling the number, they are very quiter to offer you some money, but are adament that you have done this willingly and that is not a scam which it F**cking is! I will have to claim for the rest, they are sending me a form via email; they also said i had entered my email twice and that I had agreed to this, when I would never do so. We need to do something about this inform watchdog or the papers! I KNOW I WILL BE DOING BOTH HELP ME TO STOP THIS!
This happend to me after useing the trainline.com Be carfull!
I've just found the same - as it was £10 a month, I presumed it was a mobile phone top up or something like that, only they continued as I went onto a phone contract! Has been going out since Nov 2009 - £210 in total. They said they'll refind 3 months and I have to send in a form for the remaining amount. Fingers crossed I get it back.
So so so annoyed with myself for not looking properly at my statements and stoppping this earlier. I just had no idea how they would get my bank details? Apparently mine happened from ticketmaster - once again, I will never be shopping with them now. Why would organisations ever sign up to work with these guys? How is it still continuing? Is it legal?!? There is no dorect debit on my account - so I don't understand!
I've just seen it pop up in my statement. I hear they refund what they took, but will they refund me the bank charge for going overdrawn? As the money came out the same day a bill was due and I didn't think i'd need to check my account to see if it was all there, as I knew the money was there! So now i have £50 plus of charges for being overdrawn. And now I have to wait a further 3 years to get my credit history good enough to apply for my mortgage!
I too got scammed on Shoetailor .co.uk. I followed the advice on this site and rang them. I was so angry and it showed - I got my money back, so thank you.
What worries me is how these people linked to all these different sites GET OUR BANK DETAILS. Something very dodgy is going on and I feel there should be someway we could report them to the police/trading standards/ whatever. Anyone know if there is anything we could do?

I've just checked my account and these ### have taken money from my account without my authorization - How do they do that? Steve
I did sign up myself with this discount offer myself but found it completely useless...as I don't use online service at all...I called the number u hav given above. at first she said she has sent me emails but i havn't received any so I just told her to close my account and refund me then she said she can't refund me because its a membership not other...( I don't know what she meant by other...! ) but amazingly after I told her I was told I would be given refund if I wasn't happy about the account in 3 months (thats what they said anyway..) so I hope I will be refunded in next 10 days as she said...cheers..!

oh god...it was a con site..! and i was even told that i don't pay anything..i only found out when i saw a deduction of £10 per month . whats worse is that my bank lloyds wasn't sending me statement and i only found out just now. thakns for posting so many comments, they were helpful and i'm cancelling this con account right now..!
I've had £10.00 leaving my account since April 2010, it's now February 2011. I first had to phone up my bank to see how far back the payments went, then I had to phone up the Shopper Discount line [protected]) to get my refund. To be completely honest, it's a scam only in the sense of them not telling you they're taking the direct debit, they are offering a service and therefore, will never be stopped. It's up to you, i've been told today that the past 3 payments will be paid straight into my account in the next 5-10 days meanwhile I have to use a claim form (which is emailed to me) to get the other 8 months back. It all seems too straight forward at the moment, but i'm hoping i'll at least get the first £30.00 back without any more fuss.
The best advice I can give is phone the number in this comment, answer a couple of questions, then ask for every payment they've taken from you back, because they're con-artists.

unauthorised deductions from my bank account
It seems that since I booked flights with Easyjet over the internet in Feb 2008 I have had £8 per month taken, by Shopperdiscount.co.uk, and without my knowledge. It also appears to be a regular and similar complaint by other Easyjet customers.
I have e-mailed Shoppersdiscount demanding cancellation of my so called 'membership' and a return of my money. So far without acknowledgement.
This must be highly irregular and probably illegal. How can they do this on such a wide scale?

i recently booked a flight with BMI and 2 weeks later found that shoppersdiscount.co.uk had deducted
10 pounds from my credit card.. no way did i agree to pay 10 per month for discount offers from all sorts of brands.. i booked a F**king Flight..!
why do creditcard companies accept this charge.., as when i spoke to mint credit card fraud line, they said this is very common..! also why the F**k does BMI allow this to misleading scams function alongside their official booking website..
be careful when booking flights.. do not accept a 10 pound discount off your next purchase with BMI as this is what you sign up for..!
rant over.. will try and cancel the agreement.. however no chance of getting my tenner back..
scandalous..
