On 8/2/21 I made a payment online in the amount of 172.28 at sce my bank shows the payment paid on 8/3/21 but sce shows it not paid but they took the money. I called on 8/9/21 after I received a late payment notice in the mail. Ispoke with christian id# cn6038 he said it shows them taking the money on 8/3/21 but it was not updated yet so I asked him for a confirmation number he came back and said it was not paid so I asked him which one is it is it paid or not and why did he say it was paid first. He said its not paid so I asked to speak to a supervisor so I spoke to kesha id# 3292 she said it was not paid and they have not received it I told her I had a bank statement showing it paid on 8/3/21 she said contact sceols@sce.com and email the statement with an explanation and account number so me and my wife did that still my accounts not updated and it shows late. Cant you guys do your job properly and if not retrain them. This is terrible customer service. My account number is [protected] please correct this mistake.

No access to SCE.com
I am having trouble accessing my account so I can pay my bill(s)!
I am locked out of any access online and I do not have access to my full account number, because I was on paperless billing. No paper statements are available. I have changed passwords numerous times and each time I am told that my information does not match what is in their files How can I resolve this issue? My account must be terribly past due by now!

Billing for june
In June I paid a bill for $199 that covered my previous balance. This month, in early July, I received a bill for $219 and the itemization showed that I still owed from March through June. But, all of that had already been paid in June for the $199. The representative told me the $218 was just for June. How is that even possible, when my balance was zero and the itemization list shows me that I'm getting charged again for each month that I previously paid off that came to a total of $218. It makes no sense. This company is a complete rip off. It's run by totally incompetent scammers.
Desired outcome: Correct my balance for what I owe in June.
My may 2021 sce bill was double my normal billing for this time of year. I am contesting the extra charges on this bill.
My May 2021 bill was double my average monthly bills. I contested the extra charges. I received a letter saying the charges were correct. I am contesting these extra charges. I did not use any extra power, air conditioning, lighting, new electric products etc. I have spoken to several SCE customer service reps. and have been told the extra charges stand and I am with out recourse to resolve the extra charges.
Desired outcome: Adjustment of the said bill, to the average monthly billing. Remove the excessive charges.

we live out of state. Missed a payment due to change of address and banks now they insist I make cash only payments. I don't like in California anymore but pay utilities. I can't make a cash paymet. I don't live there. Found a way around to pay online. Now, it says can't take payment, try again later ...for months! payment late. THEIR 800 NUMBER is never answered. Never. won't take my phone number (which they repeated to me and was correct) for a call back. Says wait is 2-3 hours if I hold. I'm getting an aneurysm trying to talk to someone OR JUST TRYING TO MAKE A PAYMENT! their machine says mailed in payments will take more than 2 weeks to apply but won't say how long... a month? two months? never? This is insane. They need to hire more reps to answer phones. Also, they want people to pay in person? what about SOCIAL DISTANCING?
Desired outcome: I just want an option to pay my bill remotely
Trespassing - Hot Line Construction
For the SECOND time, Edison contractors have trespassed on my property. The first time, I had a new dog from a rescue, and I had no idea how he might react to a stranger hopping over my fence. Had he bit the man, he would have been put to sleep. THIS IS A SERIOUS PROBLEM.
This time, a contractor called Hot Line was being used to service the area. Again, a worker jumped my fence - despite a NO TRESPASSING sign. This is against the LAW! Yet, they repeatedly do this. The worker started taunting me through my door! SERIOUSLY! When I confronted the contractor, he demanded access to my property - and when I denied it, he suggested I would be responsible for any fires in my area. I called Hot Line and got a call from his boss who bullied ME about it. He literally threatened to have police there to secure entry to the property next time.
Hot Line directed me to an SCE/Hot Line "liaison" person, who took my report. No follow up, nothing. Hot Line is a bunch of thugs pretending to be construction workers. Three of my neighbors also complained about the same project. SCE obviously doesn't care about their reputation, but the safety of their customers should be their concern. The photos below are before and after photos of their work on a pole that is too short.
Desired outcome: SCE should contact Hot Line and demand that their contractors be trained in handling situations involving the public. They need to be made aware of trespassing laws and permit requirements for blocking traffic and so on.
SCE has easement rights as described in your title/deed/disclosures. They are not trespassing. They should have contacted you prior to preforming any work however.
Thanks guy who knows nothing about the situation. They ARE indeed trespassing and in any case they don't have easements for the entire property - only for accessing their equipment. But no worries, we can have a judge determine if they are allowed to trespass. Others here have identified similar problems with SCE contractors and their intimidation. This NEEDS to go to court so that a judge can rule on this... your personal assessment and determination of the legal situation notwithstanding.
Excessive/unfair billing charge
I recently sold a house that had a solar lease. Tha lease was transferred with the property to new owner. Escrow closed December 2020; new owners moved in mi December and I called to cancel Edison account. Account number: [protected]. Account was current at that time. However, recently I received notice of additional charges totalling about $750 (approximate) on the e-bill! This amount has now been transferred to another Edison account I have, account number [protected] which now totals $900! I recall checking the ebill of December-January and it stated SETTLEMENT on it! I called Edison and was told I needed to speak to someone in the Solar Division but somehow the connection was lost while being transferred. Since then it has been impossible to get someone on the phone about this strange charge! I completely dispute this chage since I was NEVER involved in any settlement of this account, and certainly dispute such additional charges as being unwarranted and undeserving for me to pay! WHAT REASON EXPLAINS THESE EXTRAORDINARY CHARGES?

Trespassing without Cause
Edison worker trespassing without justification. No storm, No power outage, No down wires, Two homes on either side of the property with doorbells. Signage Posted No Trespassing. I asked worker if he saw the No Trespassing"sign and if he could read them... he said he could. Nope, he just did as he pleased and then threatened to cut my trees down.

Write up., document incident. Provide policy to employee(s) Consider contacting homeowner if unnecessarily entering their property when 'No Trespassing" notices are/were posted. Employees should not threaten to cut trees down to homeowner. My trees are my property, and thousands of trees in the mountains are of far greater concern than trees located across the street. Stay away from my trees, stay off my property. If you have an issue, contact me before imposing your will. There was no emergency, there is no emergency, there will be no emergency regarding my trees. these are healthy trees on the other side of the street and in no way pose any danger to your power lines. Overbilling
For years you have overbilled us. We take pictures of meter and it clearly shows every month that you are charging us the wrong amount of kwh!. On Aug. 18th a payment was made and you are stating overdue! You have the wrong kwh read for Aug. 11th, I have a picture. Get you facts straight. Your customers are tired of being manipulated/bullied! I will be gathering enough people to file a class action lawsuit against you, this ongoing monthly having to deal with SCE has taken a toll on me. Your excuses that it will be "fixed" next year is too late. Enough is enough. I have sent three emails to Robert Rojas from SCE, no response. This is unacceptable. Medical baseline extension
After numerous calls trying to navigate their crappy automated system I finally managed to speak with a real person. I needed to request an extension for the time required to update my medical baseline information do to the unavailability of my doctor during the current COVID-19 crisis. I was essentially told that I was S.O.L. and that my doctors office should have something in place for me to get the required documentation. I tried to explain that it was not possible for me to do that right now. They would not hear it and told me that was all I could do. Absolutely the worst company period. They have a monopoly on the power and know it. No need for customer service when people have nowhere else to go!

I am being overcharged for electricity. I have called SCE and they say that they think my neighbors are tapping into my power. I am only home 3 days a month and we have a surveillance system at home so it would be impossible for anyone to tap into our power. They told me my meter is hooked up to their computers and as such my bill is accurate. They are ripping me off and I am a senior living on a fixed income.

My name is Prentice Head III and I am the Pastor of St. Paul Baptist Church in Long Beach Ca. We have Southern California Edison, they provide electricity for our church. We had a death of one of our members who was poor, we helped out the family as much as we could and for that we made payments arrangements with the electric company, we were never disconnected, we made every agreed payment arrangement. Southern California Edison is now demanding $1975 security deposit which is excessive and unfair. We need help resolving this matter. If there is anything you can do to get the deposit waived will be greatly appreciated. God bless
edison easement fire hazard
Edison or a representative from Edison removed shrubs / bushes around the utility poles. They did not take the removed shrubs / bushes when they left. This is not a fire hazard. This is the second time this has been done and the original shrubs / bushes are still there. Please send a crew to pick up their trash, this is a bus stop and a traveled area where it could be a fire hazard for our home and the children at the bus stop.
care income verification
I applied for the CARE discount for SCE and when I began the application process the application asked if I was getting any government benefits like food stamps or social security disability or medicare, I get all of these benefits. SCE says that applicants who get these government benefits don't have to do the income verification but I was required to do so anyways. I complied and sent in my tax info and other info that SCE requested in a timely manner. Then I got a letter stating that they had not got any of my info for over 60 days which is a complete and total lie. I have proof they got my info because they responded to my submissions of documents. When they sent the letter stating that I had not complied they also took away my discount in June going into the summer months, the most expensive time of year for me because I live in the desert where itis very hot and A/C units run full time during the summer months. I reapplied and went through the process again to get the CARE discount and I was approved in September after the height of the summer heat and now I am stuck with an electric bill that I cant pay because of my fixed income. This is wrong and should not happen to anyone. The program was set up to aid those like me who can't afford the high rates SCE charges for electricity. But they left me with my pants down in the middle of summer. My discount should be retroactive and they need to go back and redo my bills from June - September with the discount.
I was also notified by SCE that due to a recent data breach, my information was exposed, ironically, I specifically addressed this very safety concern and was afraid of this. This is yet proof and another reason why I fear for the safety of myself and family (home invasions/identity theft/fraud) ect.

SCE does not and I repeat, does not reasonably accommodate disabled households, does not reply to emails unless (cpuc) which biasly take SCE's side despite verification submitted. I filed a complaint against SCE, received a disturbing response via cpuc all while being threatened to be removed from the care program. Everyone knows that the mail has gotten messed up during COVID-19, yet, when I repeatedly informed SCE of sending documents repeatedly, instead of resolving the matter and putting be back on the care program, they removed me and have blocked me from trying to reapply to the care program. I have screenshots of this. Not only did SCE violate my disability rights, for everyone in the household including myself, they have failed to put me back on this program, my bill has spiked up to about over $2900 every month, have no regard for minors, myself, and other family members who rely on a breathing machine/medical device, whom are all disabled, in what I believe is retaliation after filing my original complaint with cpuc. SCE is the worst, they lie and are very rude. I can verify all of the above allegations. SCE violates the ADA on many levels. This has been going on for over 1 year.

SCE must have about the worst customer service in the world. Nothing but runarounds and unanserved calls and no callbacks, except to put me back in line for another wait and callback, which just repeats the process. I have made about 15 calls on a very simple item, and spend about 2 hours waiting for an answer, which never comes. I guess this site is just to vent our anger, and I doubt that SCE pays any attention to it. The only complaint that matters is one filed with the PUC.

I have not received any bill since March 2019 and I called SCE 6 times and talked to different customer service representative for my problems. They just kept transferred me different departments. I called again last month and they finally told me that their computer is suffering problems and they are fully aware of the issue but they will send a technician to survey my meter again. The technician again missed the appointment date and never show up. Two weeks after the appointment date, they showed up today and claimed they ran the bell which they did not cuz we were at home. They again left me a note to call, I have been on the phone for a hour already. I don't know how SCE survive this long because this is the most inefficient company and worst company in any possible way that you can even image. I hope there is another alternate way to this traditional power supply so I can cut this company off.
permission to operate solar panel on march 26 2019 I talked to customer service many times but they never care

Semper Solaris helped my property 12202 Timlico Ct, Moreno Valley, CA 92557 installed Solar Panel on the roof on February 2019. Southern California Edison finally approved on March 26, 2019.
My solar panel generated 600-700 Kwh per month. I thought that sce was going to deduct my 600-700 kwh from their bill every month. But it never happened. I called sce customer service many times, letting them know my solar panel project was approved on Mar 20, 2019. They said they will take care of it in 1 to 2 billing cycle.
However, they never deducted any kwh at all, pretend not knowing. I called them at March, I called them at Apr, I called them on May, I called them at June, the most recent time I called them was July 23rd when they emailed me the bill. They always said they would take care of it in next bill. But it never happened.

I feel you pain. We got PTO on May 6th, our bill has not been changed either. We also need to call every month for "bill extension". It is very irritating and frustrating. Our time is also valuable too to be on the phone with customer service every month for at least half an hour. It seems like no one wants to help. Who can we talk to to solve this issue?
electric bill keep going up!
Moved into 1 bedroom apartment over a year ago and noticing my power bill keep going up when I use less electricity. I guess SCE needs the money to help pay off the many law suits its facing. This is truly upsetting - there is nothing to do to recover hard earn monies going to a bad company.
Someone needs to start another Class Action Lawsuit to protect customers who are being ripped-off via over charged power bills...

Our average monthly bill runs anywhere from $70-180 depending on month, this month, we received a bill for $350, I called and they said that the bill was accurate due to high usage, I explained that our usage has actually decreased and yet our bill was double our highest bill. I'm furious, there is obviously some mismanagement of metering or something similar going on. Temperatures haven't been higher in my area and we use less lights now then ever to conserve.
