over charged and won't refund
We have three phones and for at least the last year there have been four automatic deductions taken out each month for these phones. So I have been automatically deducted for a forth phone for an entire year! I have talked to 11 different people at straight talk to have this fixed. I have been told the bank has to charge the money back, the bank has to call straight talk to get it charged back, and lastly that straight talk can't fix it because they can't issue me a new credit/debit card! I have been talked to rudely, sarcastically, and hung up on. I have been told their are no supervisors to talk to... I have been told these transactions can't be stopped because I don't know the phone number or serial number for the forth phone that I do not own. I have changed my card information only to have it updated on t forth line as well without my consent. Today I have finally then in touch with a refund department to to have this issue resolved but my next step will be a lawyer.
This company cannot keep their lies straight
Again, I am on the phone with another idiot from Straight Talk. I was on hold for nearly an hour for a supervisor before the CSR (that's a laugh) disconnected the call. The second call, I have been on hold for over an hour waiting for a supervisor to supposedly finish a call. I think they are outside smoking weed.
A few weeks ago I was in the hospital and my service ended. When I returned home last week, I renewed my service. Big mistake. Since then, dead air kicks into all of my calls. I have to reboot the phone and then when I make the call, dead air kicks in after 10 minutes.
The lock screen kicks in and ends all of my calls. This happened on a 911 call. I was told that the lock screen is supposed to end the calls if one has been on the phone too long.
WTF? Excuse me? What was that advertisement of unlimited talk, text and data. As far as text is concerned. I cannot text. Too many connection problems. It took me 2 days to have a text go through. I sent one text and it multiplied to the recipient to the point, she called and complained about me over texting her.
When I make a call it takes two to three minutes before a call is dialed and connected and it locks up the phone. I have to reboot the phone and wait for that scanning media card before I can make a call. There was a fire in my apartment building and I cannot rely on Straight Talk to have that call go through. That would be too much like right.
I was told that I would have to return the phone and wait up to 10 days before I receive my replacement phone. Now mind you that I paid for the service for 30 days and I will be short on my paid service.
Did I mention that I had surgery and I need a phone for emergency purposes? I was told to borrow someone's phone or go search for a payphone. Excuse me? Does the idiots at Straight Talk know that other people work and that payphones are not available. I was also told to use a older straight talk phone. I do not have another Straight Talk phone. I sent them back.
I have contacted an attorney about filing a lawsuit against this company. There is one about the fraudulent unlimited service and the slowing down of the data speed. Since I reactivated my phone, it is working way below 3G, let's just say it is working at 300 baud dial up modem speed.
I cannot get my emails. I have to reboot the phone in order to get the emails. I cannot keep bothering my neighbors and jeopardizing my health due to unethical policies and negative training.
THERE ARE NO SIGNS OF INTELLIGENT LIFE AT STRAIGHT TALK. Customer service is very poor, there's no such thing as common sense. The FCC should step in and make Straight Talk get their act together or go out of business.
I did not have this problem of being on two phones to solve a problem when I was with AT&T, Verizon or Sprint.
I bought a hawaii ascend y for 160.00. I used it for 2 months and it stopped working. I sent it back to the on June 10, 2013 and still waiting for them to send me a replacement. I called them 15 times and just keep getting a run around. They even sent me a bogus tracking number. This company is a big scam.
I have had 2 straight talk phones and in a matter of weeks they stopped working...this not a good company
Straight talk has debited money from my account three months in a row and are claiming that they did not take money from my account. I have contacted them repeatedly about this issue and they refuse to help me . I. Need to know how I can get my money back this is ridiculous!
Email them at ST.CorpResolutionTeam@straighttalk.com. This is the right people you can ask for help just need to send them your name, cell number or your phone serial number. Just got my problem solved.
I tried to email them at ST.CorpResolutionTeam@straighttalk.com and they were able to solve my problem. Just send them your name, cell number or your phone serial number for them to assist you.
I tried to contact straight talk via the internet in regards to calling canada from the states. I was then directed to a site that could help me for about $60 dollars. I could not get a straight answer immediately as to how to complete my call.
Straight talk is the worst provider. I talked to several techs to activate phone.I checked the zip code before I ordered the phone. The phone that I purchased works only on verizon towers and could not get any service. It takes up to 30 days to refund your money.
my phone which service is paid, has not been letting me make out-going calls on 9/10/10 and 9/14/10 my phone number is [protected]
Unable to refill minutes on line or by phone.Phone busy and online will not take pin number. It is distressing to go through when you need a refill.my phone number is [protected] pin code [protected]'Can you help me?Email of family susanellis138@yahoo.com
Still waiting on my phone. They just tell me lies. Oh it will be here then not here. It will take 7 to 10 days. What are they shipping it from the mayflower. I dont know. So fed up going to see a lawyer.
failure to disclose material info on packaging or ads
I bought an introductory package, then added three months service, for a total of four months.
After establishing service, I discovered you do not allow phones to be used as a WiFi hot spot. This was not disclosed in any of your literature. I quickly moved service back to AT&T. So, I’m not using your service.
Please make sure the three month extension is cancelled. Do I get a partial refund on the introductory 30 days?

I’m screwed out of $200.
Even for the purely optional three month purchase.
Great way to do business.
I’ll have to tell others
If you purchased the plan with the intent to use the phone as a HOT SPOT then why didn't you ask if that could be done?
In addition, if it says in the contract that you can NOT tether other items to the phone then what made you think you could?
phone activations byop program
Straight Talk Wireless has some problems with their customer service. I tried to activate a phone for my wife and have spent over six hours trying to troubleshoot why it cannot call out. The problem here is that nobody in India wants to help me. They just keep saying something like thats not possible, and then transfer me to a different person. At some point the call is dropped, and I have to call back all over again. Their computer will not let you ask for a representative. If you dont do what it says, it will end the call for you, just like the live straight talk people. I realize that AT&T and Sprint are lacking in this area also. Right now they look good.
I was very frustrated about my phone that was not working with some questions that was not clearly answered on the phone with the CS, and found this thread with the emaill address: ST.CorpResolutionTeam@straighttalk.com. And with an awe! I was refresh and satisfied for the help and hardwork that the representative done for me. If you want help and satisfaction, just send them your name, cell number or your phone serial number.
I had problems on my phone of not able to make and receive calls and the people at this email address helped me fix my concern. I know that the email is going to the company themselves but the people handling these emails are very good. Give it a try. The email address is ST.CorpResolutionTeam@straighttalk.com. Send them your name, cell number or your phone serial number.
Bought a Nokia 6790 phone for $214.99 from Straight Talk on Aug.20, 2011. Returned the phone because it did not pair with my car hands free link blue tooth. Straight talk denied receipt of the phone and did not credit my account. Stole my money.
This will be quick and to the point. The customer service needs to re-enter training for another 20 yrs. Very disappointed! If smart stay away. I received my phone today and the battery was not charging properly so I called customer service and they could care less. I just feel if I spent my money purchasing your products you would at least have the decency to resolve my issue. Totally not happy!
All i keep getting is the run around from this company. They tried to tell me because i ordered so many phones i can not order another one. Screw them if i am paying money out of my pocket what does it matter to me if i do or if i don't. The customer svc is really bad and it's not worth anyone's time. Mr. Randall Richard's was very rude to me and trying to tell me bogus stuff. I will never deal with them again
My name is Dennise i had a account with you but the phone had been off for about a mouth now so i would like to transferred my old campany cellphone number to my straight talk. So how do i do that?My email ddejesus79@hotmail.com.
Straight Talk give away customers information on there website, this is common knowledge here is an article on what straight talk are doing to fix this issue: http://wontek.com/news-and-opinion/latest-news/straight-talk-security-warning
They are doing nothing!
I can not believe I waist 75 minutes of my life activating a phone card. I established my account 3 moths ago, and every time I call to activate my card, takes forever. Extremely bad costumer services
Have been trying to get through tooo coustemer service for three days and nothing yet, BUT EVERY TIME I do call I CAN NEVER UNDERSTAND ANYTHING THEY ARE SAYING. BUT as tar as there coverage its great just wish there coustemer service was as good
customer service terrible
Straight talk is the worst cellphone provider I have ever dealt with, the customer service sucks, they hire people from overseas who barely speak or understand the English language to reduce costs. The customer service reps are unskilled and not trained properly and don't know how to do they're jobs correctly. I was on hold for over an hour with customer service and they hung up on me, then I called back and asked to speak with a supervisor and they hung up on me again, my cellular data is not working on my phone which is why I called. And they gave me the run around telling me to try stupid things like turning on and off the phone waiting my time, and still were unable to resolve my issue, this is my 4th time dealing with data problems with straight talk, after reading online they are being sued in a class action lawsuit for cheating customers on data by throttling or completely cutting service off for customers, they lied about providing unlimited data and only providing a data cap. Never deal with this company again.
I bought a blackberry phone online in march of 2015 I have been on the phone with them for at least 40 hour as of April the 1 of 2015 they have sent me 3 different sim cards and none them have work 1 worked and all I could do was calls no text or internet so I bought another card to add text and inter net well it didn't add any so I called again the person shut my phone off and put the number on a new sim card that I didn't get so I called back to see where the new card was and was told that one was never ordered cant be put on a new sim card I told her that it happen and she kept telling me I was wrong and the phone cant be shut off so I have been without a phone for over a week Not bad enough I just had back surgery and need a phone
stole my money
I bought a service card for my cell phone for $45. I added it to my cell phone via my serial number on their website. My phone got deactivated because they added it to someone else's account and they refuse to do anything about it. They continuously blamed me, no it was their website, and they refused to give me the number to someone higher up. They also hung up on me once and refused to provide their names. I am contacting a lawyer first thing in the morning.
Canceling my service and losing my business cell number
My cell number is my business number. My problems began with BYOP program. I was given an Samsung Gs3 on the Verizon network. I purchased the activation kit from Walmart. That included 30 days of voice, text, data and sim card. $ 60.00. Found out from Straight talk that the activation kit did not have a Verizon sim card. So they had to send me a sim card. Got the sim card in the mail and it didn't work. So they sent me another sim card. (Time wise about 3 weeks total) Tried to activate the nest sim card with customer service. The Rep. set the phone up with a new number. NOTE: A number I didn't want or needed. Before the Rep. got off the phone. I tried to get him to change the number back to my original number. He told me, that it would take an hour or so to change over. Ended call. Couple hours later, no change to my original number. Called back and got told it was changed over again. No Luck ! A couple of days past and I attempted to get the number changed. Finally, they got me to a advanced technical support rep. He got the number changed to my original number. All is ok. But, in the middle of all of this. I was asked to add more minutes. So I did so. The problem of adding the minutes was it went to the wrong number. Not to my original number. A number I was not using, but it is still on my account. Last week, I called ( Approximately Jan. 15, 2015) knowing my original phone end date was 1/21/2015. I wanted to have the minutes transfer to my original number. The Rep. said she changed the minutes to my original number. So, I assumed all was ok. Well, yesterday ( 1/21/2015) my phone went dead. Same day, called from another phone and tried to get my phone reactivated. Not only could I not get my phone reactivated. Customer service said they couldn't locate my number and the number belong to Verizon wireless and it couldn't be retrieved. Traveled to a Verizon store and asked about the number. I was told that the number belonged to Straight talk and no one company has proprietary over numbers anymore. So someone is lying. Bottom line, is why cancel my number. I thought cell phone companies had to hold the number for a certain amount of days or even months. They still owe me cash for my unused minutes. Today, I transferred to Verizon and set up an account. But, still don't have my original number. I have a Work van with large cell phone numbers all over it. Brochures, letter head, work shirts, jackets and business cards with my original number. It will cost me a lot of money and not only loss of business. This has to be the sorriest company in america. Next to ATT. Another sorry company to deal with.
I pay every month on my cell service with Straight talk and when I make calls later on my service is disconnected..I loose over 1 to almost 1 1/2 weeks of service because the way they have it set up..They have my payments going into the same month I had already paid for My Service..They always told me they would straighten it out and its stays the same..I paied alot of money for my Galaxy S2, , 375.00..This is how I get treated with them..I will be getting rid of my service with them and letting everyone know will rip people off..
I was in contact with them and not a bit of help and they told me I had to do it their way or nothing..
I am not sure if you understand my question..My service start on the 5th and because of 30 days it goes back into the month I pay and they say I use 30 days worth..My phone was shut off last month and they say I used my 30 days on the 2nd of this month and following month my service will end on the 29th of the month..I never had any problems like this with any service I had before..
Fraudulent service
Straight talk accidently received a double payment from me by credit card nov 7, 2014 I accidently paid for the wrong cellular account. Then I paid again by credit card for my acct. I made straight talk aware of the double payment. A straight talk representative told me they would apply the refund to my phone account for the following month. Straight talk never refunded my account. I purchased a straight talk phone card december 2014. I purchased another straight talk $45 unlimited service card, by credit card jan 3, 2015 on january 14, 2015 straight talk disconnected my phone with 21 days of service left unused. When I called straight talk they said they had refunded my credit card account for nov 7, 2014 and I needed to buy a new service card. That was not true. Straight talk lied. I checked my account. No money was refunded by straight talk at all. Straight talk policy does not allow them to refund money to anything. Straight talk received money for full 30 days of unlimited cell phone service jan 3, 2015 and disconnected my service with 21 days of service left I paid for. Straight talk is scamming it's customers and they are liars and very rude. Mamie carter

WHY is my billing payment different from what is deducted from my account? Billed/Pmt amount is $50.63 yet $50.83 is deducted on credit card. If they are collecting .20 month per person OVER what is billed, that is $2.40 a yr per person. Multiply that by 25 million people, that is $60 million dollars they are collecting a year. Is that not theft?
Keeps throwing me off of my apps. Its taking forever for anything to load. When typing, it keeps taking The keyboard away and taking forever for it to show back up.Can do hardly anything because of this.I have had straight talk for 8 years, this us pitiful

Purchased straight talk phone from wal-mart in september 2014. Got a number change at the end of september, always buy airtime cards $45 from wal-mart. Added airtime card on oct.31, 2014, they disconnected my phone on november 17, 2014! That is not 30 days! Can't be reimbursed, customer service is very rude and disrespectful!

poor phone /poor service
I purchased a straight talk phone (zte) the phone became defective so I called costumer service after a 6 (six) hr phone battle (mainly because the person on the other end couldn't speak english) they agreed to send me a replacement. that phone became defective so again I called and after another phone battle it was agreed that the phone would be replaced. that was on thursday september 18, 2014 to date I have received nothing, no mail return info, no email no nothing! I called again today september 24, 2014 and was told there is no information about the ticket that your computer clearly stated did exist! after another phone battle i'm fed up!
This is worst service I have ever had in my 57 years of life. all I want is to be treated fair and have a phone that works zte 5.0 model 2796c or better. that's not a zte this bran is terrible. I can't make calls or receive calls after the phone has been on for 20 minute's, it cuts off during calls, continues to have data era 'no connection, slow screen just a terrible phone and I paid to much money to just give up and let it go!
Here are my other concerns:
1. poor phone skill's
2. long wait time's
3. poor product's
4. poor policies (most only have one phone so to have to find an alternate number to call you from is a real hardship)
5. your data plan is terrible unlimited should be unlimited
6. I shouldn't have to pay to send you back a defective product
7. I shouldn't have to be without a phone till you send the replacement
I feel like as a customer I should be able to get timely result's from a company as large as straight talk!

card refill representative
When I was attempting to reload my phone service, the representative that came on to the phone was incompetent and did not know her job. Ex. She didn't know the difference between the s/n and the med number, was rude too, and every question she asked me when I gave her the answer I had to repeat myself 2 to 3 times.

terrible customer service
There are no words to describe how disappointing my whole experience with Straight Talk has been. I bought a 'bring your own phone' activation kit that would not work on my phone even though they checked it for compatibility and troubleshot the phone repeatedly. I called back after checking several different solutions. I wasn't angry, I just wanted my money back since the product obviously didn't work. I tried explaining the situation but the representative insisted that it was MY FAULT! The final straw was when the customer service representative HUNG UP ON ME when she realized she didn't know what to do and didn't want to give me my $70 back for a SIM card that plain and simple DIDN'T WORK.

The exact same thing happened to me, except I was never hung up on; just told repeated, useless information. I would love to find a way to get my deserved refund and warn others about their abysmal customer relations practices.

lesson learned...you shopped at Walmart and you got terrible service.
lesson learned...you shop at Walmart, and you get c*** service.
service, customer service
Their website doesnt tell you which phones will be working off which network. I wouldnt have spent $250 on a phone if i would have known it was going to be running off the T-Mobile Network. I would have spent less money for a better network or more money on a phone for a better network. Once i get the phone and service activated, i dont have signal at my house or my job. The two places i use it the most...i cant. I bought a new at&t sim card thinking i could switch out the sim card and be able to use a better network...NOPE! They advised me that your phone wont work with a different sim card even though its from Straight Talk. I have tried logging into my account to deactivate my auto renew policy...well now i cant log in my account. I have been on the phone with 3 different representatives...which all 3 didnt help. 1...first guy i talked to couldnt speak fluent English. Hello, this is America...learn the language or dont work here. 2...the next woman told me about you couldnt switch out the sims...and she told me to reinstall T-Mobile sim and make a call...so i did...well yeah it makes a call but halfway i lose connection...so then she says you are able to make a call...you must have service...and then hangs up on me. REALLY?!?!?!?! I call back and talk to the 3rd representative wanting to sign into my account to take off the auto renew policy, I have had about enough of straight talk and ive only had them for a month. She took off the auto renew, but i called to log in to my account so i can verify it was off...did she help me into the account...no. did she take off the auto renew, yes...but how can i check to make sure? wait a month to see if i get charged? Straight talk has good phones and good deals and i like the $45 unlimited everything a month, but whenever you cant get signal 90% of the time where you are at...why stay with them? They need to be able to switch out sim cards from T-Mobile to AT&T so i can use a different network...i might be pleased with them a little better than T-Mobile. Now im out $250 on a phone i cant use.

liars and thieves
This is my third FCC complaint this week.
Please tell me and thousands of Straight Talk customers on how to shut
this company down. I received my replacement phone on Thursday. The
phone worked fine until 6/20/2014, then all of a sudden the 3G aspect
was not working. I emailed Teresita and told her I had no data
connection. We talked briefly about the problem and I could not get the
phone to work under Wi-Fi except at my home and even then there was no
good connection. I called and left her 2 messages no response. I called
back later Friday nite and was told to call Saturday nite to see if
there was a solution. I was also told not to make any payment until the
problem was solved. I was not going out late at night to purchase a
card. I was told to wait a couple of days, not to mention that Straight
Talk put off the discussion of any credits and extension of services
until a later date. I will no longer use this unethical company. I was
not allowed to ask questions and the staff was abrupt and hung up on me.
Straight Talk disconnected my phone service and they still want my money.
There is nothing that the staff can do to correct the errors and the way
they conducted themselves. The security officer in my apartment complex
knocked on the door because there was a death in the family and no one
could get through. My phone was disconnected in spite of the promises
made to me. I called Straight Talk 3 times this morning and was unable
to talk to anyone. Each call resulted in a pick up and hang up.
I will be contacting lead counsel Michael Sobol with Lieff Cabraser
Heimann & Bernstein who sued this company.

12 months service with 15 defective junk phones. presently hav 3 defective phones in hand and i hav been trying since 6-2-14 to get them replaced . i believe this 2 be comsumer fraud and interstate fraud . knowingly sending out defective phones to replace a defective phone has to be fraud . as it crosses state lines that makes it interstate fraud .
customer service
I contacted customer service regarding an issue with my phone. I eventually changed my number to prevent call(s) from third parties. I was getting phone calls from companies that buy contact list from straight talk. I changed my phone number at the advise from a rep located offshores, and still received phone calls afterwards. After I contacted the offshore rep again, after the problem continued, I was advised to change my number again or to quit looking for jobs or the phone calls may have been random. Then I was told I could find another provider. I asked if anyone else was calling about receiving calls from third parties that wanted my credit card number for roaming charges, debt consolidation, wal mart pharmacy, or anything required to enter your credit card number to continue. I was told yes. I asked what i could do to prevent calls going forward. The rep(s) stated change your number every 30 days or find a different provider. The straight talk reps have no concern for loyalty, resolving an issue, or any other words of advise-exept what is scripted. And good luck with the names of these so called "experts or managers". A true disappointment for straight talk. I guess you get what you pay for. SCAMS.

broken phone
my wife purchased me a phone for my birthday last august and it comes with a one year manufactures warranty.the front camera stopped working recently and i have tried using LG customer service ( its an LG optimus showtime phone) and thied everything
and finally i was told i would have to contact walmart for a replacement phone.I went to walmart with my phone my reciept and a copy of the one year warranty, walmart says they only have a 14 day warranty on phones for straight talk...great eh?how many phones break or quit working in the first 14 days?Customer service at this walmart is the worst i have ever seen as the customer service reps could barely speak proper english and i had to decipher ebonics once again but recieved no resolution to my problem.so i went to the electronics dept where i was met with the same rudeness and indifference needless to say i will be switching carriers and will never set foot in a walmart store for ANYTHING.Straight talk had been good up until you ask them to honor a warranty.User beware!

customer service/ phone replacement
I have been with Straight Talk for over 5 yrs. now and bought several phones. All usually thru WalMart. Wasn't until this last cell phone I bought, a Samsung Galaxy S2 brand new (obviously). They (Straight Talk) have been replacing this phone about 5 times now! All with refurbished pcs. of junk! And I have to deal with this customer service that either hangs up on me, cant hear me, I cant hear them, I cant understand them and it takes several calls to get the phone even replaced in the first place then... I dont even get the replaced pcs. of c*** phone for like a month! This all after several attempts of calling and them telling me it has been processed and is being shipped! HA! REALLY! AS IF! And now they are sending me a model phone that is seriously downgraded from my specs on my model and from the price I paid for mine! So yes if you are all asking y I am still with this company, It is just till I find the carrier I am going to switch too! STRAIGHT TALK ---- has the absolute worst customer service and I regret ever coming to this cellphone company!
OMG! I bought hubs a new phone in July of this year (2013). Every month thereafter I have had issues with the refill cards. He would refill them online as his phone did not have the option to refill on his phone (yeah I know right). His phone will never refill. I have to call customer service and go through this each month.. Telling them each time the same thing. He bought the card, activated it, yet he never got the credit to his phone. Every darn time I get the same answer.. That number has been added to another account. What other account! We only have this one. The numbers are very close and he must have hit them by mistake! I Told her that was bull, I have been dealing with this c*** from day one. This last time he called them and had it activated and still they screwed up. The lady told me they could switch it over this one time at no charge. Haha I told her she would switch it over forever if they keep messing it up! That it was there problem that did this not mine. She then wanted my credit card to enroll us in automatic payments I told her she had lost her mind and I'd never give them that info. Stupid people!
I have been with straight talk for about seven years. I bought a windows 8 phone. The phone keeps freezing up, every time I call the people get very rude. They refuse to solve problems with you instead they tell you its because your phone isn't fully charged. I feel they need to pull these phones and fixed the problems. I pay a portion of there wages, they don't treat you at all with respect.
I too am having problems with them and the same phone. Mine started on 2/18/14 when my bill was due. As soon as I paid it and they said to cut it of and back on, I have had zero data ever since. I made several calls to them & nobody had any expertise except for flip cards they read from. They kept transferring me to 'other' departments & each one read the same thing off. I contacted them on Face book and it took them 4 days to respond, 18 emails back & forth & then they did the same thing, tried to offer me a phone that was half of what I have. Of course I told them that was unacceptable. They told me to try to buy a new phone. This one is only 11 months old. It's awful funny everything was working just fine until they said to power off and on. I'm beginning to believe they have purposely done something to this phone seeing that the Galaxy S5 is coming out next month. It's like their way of 'weeding' things out.
worst customer service
Do not buy straight talk! You will regret it. They are too cheap to pay real people to be customer service. Everyone is in india and they get mad when you can't understand what they're saying. They also have no idea how to solve any problems. I bought airtime and tried to add it to my phone and for some reason it did not work so I had to call for help. I spent 2 hours the other night on the phone and they were unable to fix anything. I spent another 2 hours again in hopes of something getting fixed this time, and nope nothing was fixed. They know nothing about the services, they just read a script. My problem is still not fixed and they don't even offer anything to make up for their mistakes.
You might think now that you won't ever need customer service (That's what I thought), but as soon as anything goes wrong, you won't be able to get it fixed and you'll wish you didn't have straight talk.
Their customer service is so bad they might as well not even offer a customer service phone number and email.
I am having similar problems. I set up my account on line and put in the Service Card Pin # and now I can't use it. I did just send an email through their web site. I did take down the email provided above just in case I get nowhere. Thanks.
