Customer service, food quality and app
First let me begin with stating I have worked in the hospitality business, for over 20 years and I understand how things happen and I typically do not believe in making complaints. However, I sent a complaint yesterday and it says that i do not have any complaints. I have had constantly had negative experiences wiith our local subway, which is unfortunate for my family, who would rather have Subway, than any other fast food option. It is also worth noting that we have 5 kids of our own, in addition to 2 more that we have 95% of the time. It is not uncommon for use to spend $70-$90, at least once a week. However, i am currently refusing to order anything from Subway. I will start with the app, which only works a fraction of the time and I usually end up wasting more time than i have trying to take advantage of promotions only offered on the app, considering the location will not honor if the app is down, even if they are aware of the issue. This is what led to my most recent problem, considering I should have received a bogo deal, on the morning of a field trip for my youngest son. I processed the payment in full because the app will not complete the order, without, doing so. I asked if they could do something and the morning manager said she had not processed the online order so it wasnt her mistake, in which i responded, subway does not pay me to be a manager, therefore, i cannot comp my own order. She continued to mutter and laugh as I left and I was counting on the money to have enough gas for the field trip, over an hour away, in which the return home, I sat at a gas station, trying to have someone send money. This followed repeated times of placing online orders that were not made when I arrived, causiing me to be late on multiple occasions. One that was made without being toasted when i arrived because it had not been made and they were closing early. Rude customer service, on a regiular basis.
Desired outcome: I would like to be compensated for at least one meal, for my family through credits or refund.

I am going to begin with the fact, I have worked in customer service, specfically, the food and beverage sector, and I am not someone who reaches out for complaints, however, this location, has repeatedly disappointed me and this last time, I was beyond offended and if it is up to me I would never step foot into another subway, which is really unfortunate for my family, who chooses subway over any fast food. I have five kids, in addition to 2 others that live with us 95% of the time, literally. Each of them have friends over often and we used to eat Subway at least once a week, often spending $80 -$90 with specials. Past experiences include, constant issues with the app and ordering, (often not available or kicks me out). Employees overlooking orders placed through the app on a regular basis, often causing timing problems for ballgames, practice, etc. If our order was prepared, it was rare to receive our entire order, much less every sandwich correctly made. If I were not able to process the online order, I have been met unpleasant attitudes, often causing me to hesitate attempting order inside the store if the app did not work. However, this last time, broke the camels back. My husband and I processed an early order for lunch to take with us on a field trip, with our youngest son. As usual, things could not go as planned, even for 3 subs. I had intended to receive the buy 2, get one free promo, only offered online, however, it did not work. Desperate, to get the order and to the field trip location, over an hour away, I paid with my card, so the order would be made. Considering, the order would not submit, without a card payment, i assumed the locatioon would honor the online promo. Although, I have no idea why, considering they have yet to make attempt to correct previous experiences and they do not accept any of the email or text promotions, from subway. When I expresseed my frustration, the manager on duty that morning, stated "why would we fix it, I did not place your order online". I said nope you did not and unless you are illiterate, then I can assume that the order is made correctly, considering I processed and verified the order, which had been submitted correctly. however, considering I am not hired as a subway employee, I am unable to comp food, before submitting it and walked out the door where she continued to make statements about my competence. It was absolutely ridiculous, and one of the most disappointing customer service experiences, I have had.

not accepting coupons sent out by Subway
On Oct.8,2022 at 5pm I went to Subway on Main Street,Bunn,NC . There was a note on the bread that said they were not accepting coupons because the ice machine was not working. The ice machine has been out of order for 2 weeks and it has been out of order several times. I do not why they are not honoring the coupons the ice machine not working has nothing to with the customers.

subway restaurant did not ACCEPT my coupons
on 10/8/2022 we visited a subway located @ 20695 Biscayne Blvd , Aventura Florida 33180 ,Subway #2052-0 and I have been their many times and coupons have been honored .Today they refused to honor my coupons , The lady employee stated to me that I was a liar that she never seen me before ,I was insulted being called a liar . their are no signs posted other wise .

During the summer I stopped at a Loves travel center that had a Subway inside. I placed my order and tried to pay with a $50 gift card. The staff at the store couldn't get the transaction to work, so I wound up paying with a credit card.
When I checked later, the balance of the card was $21, the difference between the original $50 and the cost of the food (approx $29). I submitted a complaint on the Subway site, nothing.
Desired outcome: I would like the $29 refunded.

On the above-noted date at 7:36pm I entered this Subway store. I spoke with a gentleman behind the counter who was preparing someone's sandwich and asked if the buy 1 foot long and get a second foot long for 50% off was good to use IN THE STORE or did I have to order on line or with the app. He replied that the offer was good in the store. So, I waited in line to order.
I ordered one footlong B.M. T. for $9.59 and one RChick & Bacon for $10.79, plus tax of $0.84 for a total of $21.22. I told the woman who started to ring me up that I'd like the "BOGO50" offer. She stated that that offer was only good on-line or with the app. I told her that when I came in I specifically asked the gentleman if the "BOGO50" offer was good to use in the restaurant and that he said yes. She said that he didn't speak or understand English very good and that he was wrong.
If I had known that the offer was not good for a walk-in, I would have taken a few minutes to order via the app!
What I should have done is just walked out! However, at 76 years of age and not being a hothead in the moment, I asked if she could give me any discount. She said that she'd give me a dollar off. HOWEVER, my receipt does not show $1 off. I paid with my Apple card, asked what the gentleman's name was and she stated Brian (doubtful since he does not understand or speak English very well according to her) and her name; which she mumbled. I asked what her name was several times and still could not understand her. I left!
I am extremely unsatisfied with the treatment I received at this Subway. What can you do to rectify this matter?

Coupons
Your coupons are misleading. I have always been able to hand a coupon after getting my sandwiches made but today the girl told me that they were not applicable to sandwiches 1-12. Not much else left to order from. So now we have a handfull of useless coupons. I will have a hard time entering a subway again after having the coupons rejected. The coupons are hard to read the fine print. I won't go in again.
Rude staff manager
I called to tell them I was having problems with the website and she gave me all of these instructions how to fix it and I asked her if she could just take my order and I would come pick it up and in return she got extremely rude but probably because I had to call three times before she picked up the phone and I told her I wanted to talk to a manager and she told me she was the manager
Sweet onion teriyaki
On Friday, September 23, 2022, at around 21:40 I went to the Subway restaurant.
I ordered my sandwich and they only have whole wheat bread. Ok whatever, it won't kill me.
Ask for my sandwich to be toasted and added lettuce, tomato, pickles, and hot peppers.
The sauce was supposed to be a sweet onion.
I take the blame for not watching the employee apply the sauce as I was trying to decide if I wanted a combo or not.
I did, so I got a fountain drink, Dr.Pepper (which was watered down), and the Harvest Cheddar SunChips.
I then went back to work (Toronto Western Hospital) and found that my sandwich had white sauce on it. I know that any white sauce would have egg, and as I am allergic to eggs I came back.
When I came, the door was locked but after yelling what my issue was, the door was opened a crack. The young lady who served me told me she gave me what I ordered, I told her no, the sauce was wrong and she told me no she gave me sweet onion sauce.
After going back and forth with her several times she was adamant I was wrong. So I asked her what colour is the sweet onion sauce. She said greyish-brown. I opened up the sandwich and showed her it was white.
She then said, "Ok, I messed up the sauce, just eat it."
I explained about my allergy and it stumped the two employees as to a solution.
I suggested a new sandwich, I was told they were closed. I suggested a refund. The gentleman said he couldn't I needed to come back when the manager was there.
He took my name and number and said he would leave it for the manager when I came in.
I came back around 19:17 this evening (Saturday, September 24,2022) and after explaining my issue briefly, was told there is no manager on duty until 9 am Sunday.
I am not working tomorrow and I do not live close by.
I paid $18.95 for a sandwich, chips and
drink but ended up having to eat McDonalds instead.
I am beyond frustrated.
Desired outcome: Better training, a refund, or even a new sandwich.

Taking the oven roasted chicken breast off the menu
Why would you take off one of the best items on there? the chunked rotisserie does not even come close! during the fall and winter, we travel and work late, 8 times out of ten so many places we are located in are rural, so we ate Subway... a lot! Now we are no longer customers... they claim that no one has complained and that it was removed since it was hardly ordered.. I just do not belive that as in all the long lines that we waited through year after year and they went through the chicken!

Placed online order. Veggie sub only allowed one cheese selection. Called store, requested all cheeses and they denied request. Told me I had to make another order. Asked to place that other order. Told me they were too busy to take order. I asked what their name was. They hung up. Had my daughter call back to make sure they cancelled my order because my app said that I picked it up. They said yes. Two to three days to see the money back.My daughter asked their name and their managers name and they hung up on is a second time. For fifteen minutes oir drive all the way to that store they just wouldn't answer their phone. Completely ignoring us all together. We get there and there's at least three employees standing around doing absolutely nothing. Lobby empty and no customers there eating. I took a video of the rude and disrespectful person running the show. Guy with the pink hair. Very snappy. Seemed.to be a controlling individual. I asked why he did what he did. Hang up on customers and then ignore them completely all together. He then stayed I was rude and disrespectful. He and I both know I wasn't but I'm sure the other people only know what he's stating aloud. So after i questioned him and he claims to have cancelled my order that my app says I picked up I then requested to place an order. I was told no and that they reserve the right to refuse service to anybody. I know this is true so i just turn and walk away. Through our entire conversation he refused to tell me his name or his managers name. This was absolutely the worst customer Service i have ever come across at any Subway. The way they were all just openly hanging out, the way pink hair lied and said i was rude and disrespectful over the phone, the way pink hair lied and said he was too busy to take my order he said i had to place to get a sub how I wanted and worst of all how he continuously hung up on me and my daughter and then completely ignoring the phone all together. This person does not belong as a lead or dealing with customers on a professional level

Most discusting store,ever.
We went into the Subway store,in Lumsden,Sask.,after the Duck Derby,on Sept 5th.It is in the Esso gas station.It was the most discusting store,that I've ever been in.There were flies all over the food,and the counters.Because i work for the health department,I told the girl,that there should be lids,on the inserts,of food,to keep the flies,off the food.She shrugged her shoulders,and didn't seem to care.There were like 5 tomatoes,just the ends, in that insert.Not much of an offering for customers.It was all so discusting,and were afraid that we might get sick,ordering from here,that we left.
Subway Credit Card Machine That Does Not Accept Subway Gift Cards
Our family ordered Subway sandwiches in Boyne City, Michigan on Sept. 7, 2022. When we went to pay with our Subway gift cards, we were told the credit card machine is not working for Subway gift cards. If I had not had a bank card, we would not have been able to pay for our sandwiches. Either get a working machine that accepts Subway gift cards or stop selling gift cards. This is clearly FRAUD.

I ordered 2 foot long subs. I ordered regular lettuce, no tomato or green peppers and less cucumber and onion. My order was ready at the exact time given on the app. The restaurant was very clean and a pleasant young lady handed me my order seconds after I walked through the door. When I unwrapped the sub it looked wet and sloppy and it had every vegetable in regular quantity, including tomatoes and green peppers, I also requested that each half to be wrapped separately and that was also ignored. What’s especially infuriating is that I’d looked forward to eating at Subway again after
2 1/2 years of being unable too. I’m a medically retired Police Officer, I was shot through the mouth in the line of duty. I had to undergo multiple oral surgeries to install permanent upper implants. I can’t see how this could happen with an online order and why every one of my requests was ignored. In addition I received 39 e-mails from Subway immediately after my order was placed.
I want a full refund

Customers can't see what they're ordering
This isn't about a particular restaurant because I think this is a problem with all subway restaurants now. All subways have now placed big promotional stickers on the glass that a customer has to look through in order to select the meats, vegetables, and toppings. These stickers are promoting the "new" sandwiches but they cover the glass to such an extent that we (customers) can't we can't see the products inside the case. When I complained to the restaurant a couple of times I was told by the employees that they think it is was a stupid idea, but corporate ordered them to do it that way. So is corporate so out of touch with the experience of ordering a sandwich that they would tell the franchises to cover up the glass where customers view their products? I guess advertising is more important to corporate than customer service. When I order a sandwich, I need to see the products because sometimes the tomatoes are pink or white, the spinach is wilted, the lettuce is brownish, there wasn't a lid on the tuna and it's drying out, etc. When the products don't look fresh enough, then I pass them over. So now I can't see them. Very bad idea. But I know no one at corporate will listen to this complaint and change this practice in the franchises. I'm just pointing out a very dumb thing that Subway has done, but I know this complaint won't go anywhere.
Desired outcome: Reevaluate this policy, and move the stickers to the front windows or somewhere else where they aren't blocking the view of the food.
I just sad that yesterday when we were getting our subs! I’m the same way, I want to see what’s being put on my sandwich. That’s why I don’t use drive through or delivery.
