I cancelled my ADSĹ LINE AND HOME PHONE 3 months ago as apparently my ADSL LINE was stolen and I was told by Telkom that they are no longer putting in ADSL LINES and only fibre. My home phone was attached to the ADSL and Telkom do not do fibre in Eagle Canyon. So I filled out forms in Clearwater Mall and cancelled my monthly debit order. They confirmed that I was paid up in full and my balance was R0.00. They said the form would go to the accounts dept. My daughter sent 3 emails to accounts Dept at Telkom to cancel my account. 1 went to my bank ABSA and they said if Telkom removes the money, they can't stop it but if I go into the bank, they will reverse my charges but charge me R40 per time. This was on 30th Sept,2023. Today, 31st Oct,2023 Telkom took R814.61out of my account. I'm 76 years old and must go into ABSA again, queue for at least an hour and they will reverse it and charge me another R40. I am now giving Telkom to sort this out in a week or else I'm going to Carte Blanche and I'm going to contact the Ombudsman too. I will not give up.
Desired outcome: I want my Account Stppoed immediately and I want my money returned into my account.
