My first Tissot Men's auto watch was fine for 4 years until it stop instantly one afternoon. Shake the watch and the hands try to move. The watch was bought for £384 from Lunn's in Belfast. As an outlet for Tissot they said it needed a service costing between £170 to £190 depending on what service it needed. Decided to buy a new up to date Tissot kinetic watch at £425 instead sending it of for a service. My thinking was... new watch with new warranty at twice the price of a service. However, not even into two years the went back to Tissot to be recalibrated at it was losing approximately 7 minutes a week. After another to fine 2 years later when I went to change the date the crown came off. Got a price for a new crown and spindle plus a service was recommended all for the price of £229(estimate only - until they review the watch). My decision... no faith in Tissot and they are not the quality watch maker they are made out to be. My advice... don't buy a Tissot it's not worth it. Citizen and Seiko are better value for money by a million miles.
